1Warlock Reflavoring - Artificer
2
3It seems to me that warlocks, who have limited spellcasting and a bunch of tricks they can do whenever they want (through Invocations), are built similarly to how you might build an artificer, who would have limited spellcasting and a bunch of tricks they can do whenever they want (through crafted artifacts). Thus, I have attempted to build an Artificer subclass and provide reflavoring for Warlock features and Invocations.
4
5The Subclass:
6
7Artificer Expanded Spells: You automatically learn the following spells when you reach the specified levels. They do not count against your spells known:
81: Detect Magic
93: Nystul's Magic Aura
105: Dispel Magic
117: Leomund's Secret Chest
129: Animate Objects
13
14Puzzling Creations:
15As an Artificer, you work your magic through your own intelligence and will rather than it being granted by a higher power. Whenever a Warlock Feature specifices your Charisma or your Charisma modifier, substitute your Intelligence modifier.
16
17Imbued Magic:
18Starting at level 1, you have learned the art of temporarily imbuing magic into objects. At the end of a short rest, you can expend an spell slot to place a spell that you can cast into an object. When you do so, anyone holding the object can use an action to cast that spell at the same level as the spell slot you spent, and using your spellcasting modifier.
19After casting the spell, the object can't do so again until after a short rest.
20You cannot regenerate a spell slot expended by this feature as long as the object exists.
21Alternatively, you may place a cantrip into the object. The object can be used to cast the cantrip using your spellcasting modifier at any time, without needing to wait until after a short rest to cast it again. You must still spend a spell slot to do this.
22
23Magical Understanding:
24Starting at level 6, you have learned magical knowledge from a wide spectrum of sources. Choose three spells from any class, including Warlock. A spell you choose must be level 3 or lower. The chosen spells can be used with your Imbued Magic feature, but you cannot cast them. They do not count against your spells known.
25
26Tinkerer's Talent:
27Starting at level 10, you have built up a resistance to the most common magical forces you use in your creations. Pick two of the following damage types: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Thunder. You have resistance to those damage types.
28
29Overload:
30Starting at level 14, you have learned to explosively destroy magical items. You can use your action to attempt to destroy a magical item you are touching, including those created by your Imbued Magic feature. When you do so, make an Intellect Check as though you were dispelling a spell, DC=10+the spells level (common items should be compared to 1st level spells, uncommon to 3rd, rare to 5th, very rare to 7th, legendary to 9th). If you succeed, the item bursts explosively at the end of your turn. All creatures within 15 feet of the item when it explodes must make a Dexterity Save or take 4d6 Force damage per spell level, taking half damage on a successful save. If you succeed in destroying the item, you may use a bonus action to throw it anywhere within 30 feet of you before it explodes.

32Reflavorings:
33
34Eldritch Invocations -> Crafted Artifacts:
35In your study of artificing, you create magical items, which can be worn or used to grant magical abilities. At 2nd level, you have crafted two magical items of your choice. When you gain certain warlock levels, you craft additional magical items of your choice, as shown in the Invocations Known column of the Warlock Table.
36Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can disassemble one of the magical items you have crafted and replace it with another magical item.
37Unlike Invocations, your Artifacts can be used by other characters. Other characters must attune to your Artifacts before they can use them.
38If your artifacts are lost or stolen, you can spend a long rest recrafting them - the existing artifacts stop working. When you do this, you must build the same items you previously had.
39If you build multiple Artifacts which use the same slot (ex.
40
41Pact Boon -> Signature Item:
42Signature Construct: You learn the find familiar spell and can cast it as a ritual. The spell doesn't count against your number of spells known. When you cast the spell, you can choose one of the normal forms for your familiar or one of the following special forms: Imp, Pseudodragon, Quasit, or Sprite. Rather than being a fiendish, celestial, or fae, your familiar is a construct in the shape of the chosen form.
43Signature Weapon: You have crafted a magical weapon with a changable form. You can use your action to change your weapon into a ring, bracelet, gauntlet, or other wearable, inconspicuous item, or into a different weapon. When changed into a weapon, your Signature Weapon must be a melee weapon. You are always proficient with your Signature Weapon. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming reistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. Other characters can use your Signature Weapon, but they cannot change its form.
44Signature Tome: (Unchanged)
45
46Mystic Arcanum -> Mystic Artifact:
47At 11th level, you craft a powerful item called a Mystic Artifact. Choose one 6th level spell from the warlock spell list. Your Artifact can cast this spell once without requiring a spell slot. You must finish a long rest before your Artifact can be used to do so again. Your Artifact only works for you - other characters cannot use it to cast its spell.
48At higher levels, you craft more Artifacts that can be cast in this way: one 7th level spell at 13th level, one 8th level spell at 15th level, and one 9th level spell at 17th level. You regain all uses of your Mystic Artifacts when you finish a long rest.
49
50Artifact Master:
51At 20th level, you can meditate and regain lost inspiration. You can spend 1 minute in quiet thought to regain all your expended spell slots from your Pact Magic Feature, with the exception of any slots used for Imbued Magic. Once you regain spell slots with this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can do so again.
