Under her dread light, Lucian Oracles have been gifted with the ability of communing with the dead, daemonkind; they can hold seances, summon and exorcise daemons, and are said to be able to walk the realms of life and death like spirits themselves, as well as being inhumanly powerful in the dark arts. Noctis is the most recent of the Oracles to ascend, a young man whose predominantly shrouded in mystery, a mystic captured by Niflheim at 8 to reside in Tenebrae since he ascended as Oracle at 16, he’s often kept in Tenebrae’s dungeons and behind blessed walls fatal to his person. Imprisoned, he’s only allowed escape and use during healings, ceremonies, and times when the King/Queen of Light, of the Nox Fleuret, deign it right to do so.

Growing up, Noctis was raised believing he was Iedolas' son, growing alongside the crown prince of Niflheim, prince Wilhelm. However, at a young age he witnessed the death of his mother while his father died during the Second Wizarding War that he took part in. Orphaned fairly young, Noctis was more or less raised by his godfather, Cid, and sent to Ilvermorny when he was eleven. Sorted into Horned Serpent, Noctis showed enormous aptitude at a young age. Utilizing wandless techniques and Shamanism learned from his mother’s side of the family, when he graduated he worked towards becoming an Auror for MACUSA. When Noctis was 25, he became lame in his left leg after battling a coven of dark wizards and was forced to retire, becoming professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Ilvermorny and head of childhood house, Horned Serpent.

This posed him a threat, and as the princes perpetually feuded amongst themselves, they wished for less competition and agreed to do so eventually. It all fell apart when Noctis fell in love with an archangel named Niveus, which the princes caught wind of. Niveus was banished from heaven, and presumed dead, while the princes exiled Noctis in human form to earth.

Ruthless and without much mercy, he is exacting and doles out both punishment and reward to merpeople who can serve him well.
