3Fact: Runouw has been too busy to have anything to do with either site lately, and that is causing problems, especially when it comes to problems only they can truly address like General Error. I have minimal permissions - enough to restart the database during a regular crash, but we have other problems cropping up, like the data cap issue that prevents me from even restarting the database, and the corrupted table that STILL keeps the LL site down.

5Fact: Runouw owns the site, the account that the site sits on, the code and database that make up the framework of the site (with the exception of parts that are from phpBB, and of course the Nintendo stuff), the games SM63 and LL, and is the only one with full permissions to change any of that.

7Fact: As such, Runouw CAN say that we cannot mod his game, that we cannot use his name, and that we cannot take anything they created and go anywhere else with it - and can make that stick in court.

9Fact: On the other hand, we have written our own creations within his framework, so we own our levels, posts, and art, and ARE free to take that wherever we go. I DO have copies of EVERYTHING already (database and site, at least as of November 2017 and I am planning on grabbing another copy).

11Fact: We are a community, we are a family, and Runouw didn't create that, we did. Runouw can sue us into oblivion to stop us from being associated with them or their creations, and this fact will never change. (...and considering much of today's events, most of the community feels as strongly about this as us staff do. :D We love you guys too.) None of us have any intention of giving up on that.

13Fact: SM63 exists out there (in LOTS of places), pointing in this direction, and that potential community still deserves some support too. SOMETHING will have to continue living here on Runouw's server, even if only a redirect.

15What is the worst case scenario?
16The worst case scenario is Runouw abandons both sites and games forever, they General Error, and we have no choice but to wander away and recreate something else, somewhere else.

18How likely is that.
19Ultimately, not REALLY likely. There's a lot of ifs between here and there. But we don't completely know how likely that is, and that's part of the problem.

21What is next worst?
22Runouw keeps barely keeping Runouw.com working, and gets mad enough to tell us that only authorized SM63 stuff can happen there.

24How likely is THAT?
25Much more likely, and that's kinda the tact that we're going with from an official standpoint. We know that our community does LOTS more than just that, so we need to find or make a place for it. On the plus side, our chat is completely separate, so it can sit between sites without issue, and we can think of the new site like the Wiki - just another resource. Maybe we're forced to change our name out here on the Discord, maybe not.
