30=Story=
31A brief sense of wonder, a moment of confusing and then a cold chill passes through my pajamas. The sun is just rising and the nights cold still lingers much to my discomfort. When I had been offered a chance to go on an adventure, I had hoped at least proper clothes would be included. Sadly it was not going to be so.
32Taking a moment to collect my thoughts, I look around to find various items scattered about me. A packpack filled with electronics and cash, my wallet, and my phone. My phone has a full charge, my wallet is still full with lucky coins tucked away with a crumpled photo and too many recipts, and there are an assortment of items in the bag. I pull a hat out and place it on my head to at least keep that warm.
33At that point I hear a loud scuffle. Strange shrieking in the distance. I decide its best to not get involved by a cry for help draws me in. I didn't hear it so much as felt it.
34
35A town seemed to be situtated to the South or me and the noise was further North of me. Did I go get help? Did I charge blindly in? Fuck it. Let's do this!
36I toss everything into the bag and sling it over my shoulder as I tear down the road and come across a scene that leaves me bewildered and amazed. Dozens of Spearow attacking a Porygon.
37I have to repeat that to myself a couple times. Dozens of Spearow. Attacking a Porygon. No time to think, time for action! Charging into the brush, I feebley attempt to tear a branch from a tree or bush and find I'm really, really out of shape. I'm nearly thirty! I shouldn't be this weak! Getting ahold of something, I drag it back to the road and start swinging away.
38This infuriates the Spearow.
39I have made a horrible mistake.
40Too many birds and I am horribly outmatched. I take out several before realizing this however. New plan! The town wasn't that far away! I bend over and heft the Porygon off the ground. Its far heavier then it looks. Doesn't matter though. It seemed to sqwak slightly but it appeared to understand the idea. It didn't struggle and I ended up running back down the road. Birds continued to peck and scratch which hurt more then I assumed it would.
41
42There it was! A town! A sign said 'Welcome to Littleroot' and I laughed in joy. It only took less then a minute or two to run here but it felt much longer while being attacked.
43Opening my mouth to shout for help, my voice catches in my throat. Shit! Shit! Shit! I try again! Help! Anything? Sadly, not. I could laugh and make a grunt but that was the extent of my vocalizations.
44Time to make my defiant stand! I spot a folding chair leaning on a porch and swing it at the birds. This is extremely awkward doing with one hand and having the Porygon under my arm. I had to drop it so I could chase off the birds. By now though it seems the sounds of angry birds and grunting has drawn the attention of the locals. People start appearing from their houses with brooms and pans.
45With the last of the birds chased away, I sit down, leaning against the first house I came across and catch my breath. Porygon huddles next to me and we just sit like that for awhile.
46
47A little while later and the two of us were seated at a table where we were served breakfast. The locals seems nice. Apparently the women who cleaned up and bandaged my scratches and was now feeding me had a son who just left on an adventure. It was a bit weird at first trying to communicate but that was sorted out by just typing on my phone and passing messages mixed with a lot of nodding and hand gestures.
48We were allowed to rest the day away which was nice. She even gave me a pair of old shorts, a worn shirt, and some old shoes since she just bought her son a new pair. This seemed way to familiar but who was I to argue? I ended up spending a few days helping around the house to repay the help before heading on my way. I used the time in town to browse the internet on the laptop I found in the bag left with me. I saved several maps and bookmarked several sites for later reading. Not that it seemed to matter now. Just thinking about it, I could see each map clearly in my head as if I had just read it.
49How odd.
50
51When heading out of town, Porygon seemed keen on following me. I wasn't going to complain. Dropped in the Pokemon world and attempting to travel without a Pokemon? Crazy! Whats even crazier? My age! It took a whole day to realize it but until I saw my reflection, I hadn't realized I was twelve again! Age only determined after digging through the bag and find an ID with my picture, name and age. How useful. Even more useful? 50k in local currency. Didn't share that knowledge with anyone. Wasn't going to. I ended up tucking some of that in my wallet, my shoes, pockets, hat and other places around my person.
52I was going to need to find a bank or something soon to deposit some of it. Not all of it but if I dropped a little every couple weeks it wouldn't be too strange. Its obviously enough to live on for a bit. If I didn't splurge on everything I could make it last maybe a couple months.
53And thats how I started my adventure in the Pokemon world with my new companion Vista, the Porygon.
54
55That was several years ago. I can recall it all so vividly. Perfect memory has its ups and downs. I recall every injury with perfect clarity just as well as I do how to treat said inuries. I quickly put the skill to use by picking up odd jobs here and there, learning as I went and living life as a drifter from town to town. Never spending more then a couple weeks in each place till I made it to a nice beach town. Spent a long while there. Set up camp in the hills nearby living out of a tree fort I built from trashed panels and junk, a couple row boats and a lot of salvage from the sea.
56Eventually someone caught on and it wasn't safe for a thirteen year old to be living out there. Bullshit. I packed everything, finished up a couple odd jobs and went on my way. I spent all of three years traveling Hoenn. Spent a year each on Kanto and Johto. Whenever the opportunity arised, I took every chance I could to get a free ride anywhere.
57Before I knew it, 10 years had passed and I was being called upon again.
58"Have fun? I see you didn't do much then laze about! Where is the entertainment in that? You could of been a champion you know?"
59"Meh," I shrug as things get hazy.
60"Ready to go home? Stay here? Or maybe move on?"
61"Sure, move on. Like this was nice but its crazy out there. Its why I stayed in town."

66"Yeah, sorry about that. You know those World Traveling novels? Of course you do. Here's your Cheat."
67Vista and the other Pokemon roamed about the empty space to explore.
68"Okay so whats this about a Cheat?"
69"Yeah, its a bit late but you did fiiiiine last time?"
70"You mean bring dropped into a world as a child without any means to support myself? Lovely."
71"Oh shush. Anyways, here is your Pocket Space. More like a Garage though. Warehouse maybe? A Cosmic Warehouse!"
72"A Warehouse?"
73"Yup, I'll even let you design it and take it with you. Just...try not to hang out in here to often."
74"Why not?"
75"No fun that way."

120Origin: Male, age 32
121DropÂin (free) Same as usual. You appear in this new world with no interfering identity or memories but you also don’t have any contacts or information besides what you knew previously.
122Location: 5Â6ÂLas Vegas Nevada; A city of lights, gambling arid nights and warm beds. Las Vegas is a massive tourist trap at the moment but in a few short years just outside its city limits will emerge the first headquarters of the New Millennium organization. Get the real estate while you can because it’s going fast.
123
124Perks:
125Well Adjusted (50 CP) You are a sane and well adjusted human being. You will remain calm and collected in the face of danger or overwhelming odds and are highly resistant to coercion via pain or threats to your life or health. You are mentally resilient enough to endure a great deal of stress (including that of others) and take it all in stride. Be careful though as while your ability to act calmly and handle stress is greater than almost any human alive, you can still be overwhelmed.
126On humanity and beyond (100 CP)Â You are accomplished in reading the expressions and behaviors of normal humans, inhumans and book wielding wizards alike. You possess a keen insight into their behaviors and motivation that may be lost on others. Through careful examination of microexpressions, behavior patterns and personality analysis, you can generally tell when just about anyone is lying, telling halfÂtruths or under the effect of supernatural compulsions (including but not limited to; possession, mind control, memory removal/erasure and replacement by a replicant).
127Mental Fortress (200 CP)Â You have a very special tattoo on your left temple. This particular mark shields you from all forms of magical, psychic or supernatural means of detecting or tampering with your emotions and thoughts. It also makes you immune to possession or any means of divining or changing your thoughts or actions by any means other than mundane ones.
128Technomage (200 CP)Â While not a magic user perÂse you have the unique ability to make magic and technology play along together in just the right kind of way. Perhaps you can take a fictional operating system out of a book and install it on a real computer. Or create a selfÂreplicating swarm of nanomachines from a sliver of magically created tissue. Whatever it is, you can do it and are likely to be the envy of your magical peers.
129
130Items
131As with items the first 100 CP item is free for that background, save for dropÂin which is discounted.
132Cash (50 CP) 10,000 USD to be precise. Comes with a stainlessÂsteel briefcase with handcuffs and thumbÂprint recognition. Untraceable and won’t raise a stink with the IRS.
133Firearm (50 CP)Â Your choice of real firearm and corresponding ammo (ten magazines which regenerate in your warehouse at the end of each day if spent). You possess all of the appropriate licenses for the firearm, but no forensic lab in the world could determine that the bullet was fired from this weapon.
134Candy (50 CP) You gain an unlimited supply of one type of candy of your choice. Gummy worms, M&M’s, PopÂrocks, redÂvines. So long as it is candy you receive an infinite supply of it from your Warehouse. You may purchase this perk more than once with each subsequent purchase granting you a different type of candy (warning; no nutritional value whatsoever).
135JGÂ367 (100 CP) the pinnacle of military magic, a wand mounted on a handgun’s grip, fully programmable through its cuttingÂedge touchÂtelepathy interface. The wand is titanium, infused with more than twenty firing modes, including sleep spells, transformation, and temporary or permanent petrification. More importantly, this new model includes an exorcism mode, capable of tearing spirits and demons from their human hosts and trapping them in a sphere of magical energy.
136Favored Library (100 CP)Â Attached to your warehouse you gain a small but well stocked library filled with all of your favorite books with a small sitting area and comfortable lighting. They are mint condition with authors signatures and first editions available to you if so desired. Furthermore, any book you bring in here will be stored labeled and sorted onto the appropriate bookshelf for easy retrieval. While the library will expand to accept more books it will not take in duplicates and any items left in the library will be shunted back to the warehouse after an hour.
137Gift of BiÂSheng (300 CP)Â A gift from the students of BiÂSheng. This plain white book made from riceÂpaper allows you to transcribe your thoughts, memories and personality into it. It will serve as a metaphysical anchoring point, allowing you to maintain your identity and cohesion in spite of whatever trauma you may face or attempts to alter your identity/wipe you from existence.
138
139Companions
140Standard Import (100 CP)Â You may import a single companion. They gain a free background of their choice and 400 CP. If the choice is an inhuman option they gain an additional 200 CP to spend.
141Inhuman (special) You are a nonÂhuman person in this world. Maybe you’re one of a number of humanoid clones with cybernetic implants. Or one of the many variants of vampire or werewolf. Whatever you are you aren’t human and it’s gonna take a bit for you to walk around normally now. Comes with a nice set of powers though. Oh, and since you technically “are†magic you are now unable to use the magic of this world. I know it sucks but that little limitation should go away once you leave.
142BioÂAndroid (0 CP) You are a cyberpunk supersoldier. Perhaps an advanced retrovirus got into your system turning you into what you are now, or maybe you were grown from a vial of stem cells in a Japanese sciÂfi novel. Whatever the case you are now an android and gain all the benefits thereof. Your physical and mental abilities are at the peak of human capacity. Additionally you have a wireless modem attached to your brain and various ports and wires allowing you to “jack into†modern computing technology. While not “the one†by any stretch, the ability to directly interface with any online electronic device is an invaluable skill.
143Inhuman Perks
144Supernaturally Streetwise (0 CP)Â You are familiar with the magical underground, the major players in your area and rumors of all supernatural goings on that travels through the inhuman grapeÂvine. Wherever the supernatural exists you are able to find it, drawn inexorably to stories, legends and myths which are more often than not true. No matter what world you go to, so long as there is a secret supernatural world you will almost certainly find it with only a modicum of effort.
145Flawless Recall (200 CP) You have a flawless memory, able to recall instances that happened years ago as if only a few seconds had passed. While this photographic function will not let you “know†something automatically, you may go back and review your memories as though they were photographs or videos with perfect recollection of how things really happened. You are also gifted with superb mental organization, never getting lost in your memories and always able to summon up the correct thought or series of thoughts without fear of your mind wandering.
146Hiveminded (400 CP) You are an interconnected network of multiple small minds all tied together to form a gestalt whole. Whether via asexual reproduction, infection of a mentally and biologically average human being, or artificial genesis in a lab tank, your consciousness is no longer limited to a single body. All members of your hivemind are in constant telepathic union with each other, able to share information and experiences instantaneously across great distances as though all other members were present. In combat you may coordinate all members of the hivemind with inhuman precision. With each mind you add to your network your processing power grows  but there are limits to this.
147You may only add one new additional mind to your hive once a year and can only have a maximum of 10 such clones at once. Should one of them die, you cannot instantly replace them and instead must wait a year as you gather resources/energy/effort together into a new clone body. Surviving clones at the end of a jump may be carried with you to your next jump.
148You serve as the primary administrator or queen of the group and should you die so will the rest. You may choose to spend 8 hours in mental contemplation and shift the “queen†status to any other body in the hiveÂmind. All members of your hive mind possess your mental abilities and skills as well as your altÂforms. However only the queen maintains the full effects of your supernatural perks, while the nine other members have access to your physical bonuses, supernatural abilities and altÂforms, these are all roughly at half of their original strength. For supernatural effects that require an energy source of some kind, all members of the hivemind draw upon the same pool that is shared throughout the hivemind.
149Inuman Item
150Tribal Weapon (0 CP)Â You have some form of weapon relating to your inhuman origin which aids you in combat. It could be a pair of supernaturally sharp bokken grown from your tree, a piece of moonstone which allows you to control your otherwise moonÂbound werewolf transformations or some other object that augments your supernatural abilities.
151
152Drawbacks (Maximum 600 CP)
153Curious (100 CP) You suffer from the eternal curse of the libriomancers; curiosity. You will sometimes stop in the middle of a fight or dangerous situation to marvel at just how wondrous a given object is or postulate on potential applications or combinations of it. Whatever it is you’re likely to need someone else there in order to break you out of it.
154Char Attractive (200 CP)Â You are much more prone to magical backlash. Books you use will char out after only two or three uses and your body will regularly suffer from the deleterious effects of magical backlash. Heck, you might start suffering from char burns just by being near someone doing magic. Hope you have good health insurance.
155
156==Story==
157Huh...This is new. Did I get dropped home? Nope, this is Vegas. Its my world at least. Well. Maybe. I did say move on and not Go Home right?
158The fuck is this? The fuck are you? Well shit. Vista is a Android. Gynoid? She's humanoid. She also seems to know more about this world then me. Time to kick back somewhere and start learning.
159
160Well sit rep seems to be I'm in a semi-modern world like my original but its not mine. Its familiar at least. Something about magic here or something. I also have a new library in the Warehouse which is nice. Got some nifty new toys to play with and another stack of cash. I'm starting to see a pattern here.
161
162
163Seems I'm doing the drifter thing again. Pokemon kind of stand out so I've had everyone but Lee and Vista. Vista is at least human enough to passby with some regular clothing and cosmetics. Lee needs bulky clothing and a big coat. Been moving around Vegas checking stuff out. Would wander back out into the desert to set up my Warehouse when needed.
164The Warehouse is nifty. I can throw down a portal basically anywhere. Got one set up in the middle of no where with a sheet of metal over it. Lets me open and drop a portal in town whenever I need to dip out.
165Vista seems to be coping with her new body very well. Apparently she got memories to go with it and since they were "Robot" memories they were easy to accept. She's getting a bit creepy though. I keep finding her staring at me. I don't think she blinks. She also seems to be watching me when I sleep since she doesn't need to sleep herself.
166
167So another year of drifting passes without much to say. Headed home to California! Oh and Vista split into two people. Seems to be the same person but two bodies. Both can switch back and forth between Bio-Android and Porygon forms. Been calling them V and V2. Not much more can be said on the subject cause I'm several kinds of stupid even before it comes to magic and bio-organic machine junk.
168We have a kinda of hobo town growing in the Warehouse. Lots of tents and stuff I've been buying up from surplus stores. We got a Workshop in here so I've slowly been building apartments. It...hasn't been working to well. Got to the point where I just ended up buying a bunch of shipping containers and have them lined up in here. One for each of us all set up however we like it.
169Mine is mostly a bed and storage. Everyone else has cabinets of knick-knacks and piles of blankets. The V's don't seem to want a room. Vista spends most of her time sitting in the Warehouse hooked up to the internet learning whatever she can about pretty much everything and V2 wanders around outside experiencing everything she can. I'll let her have her fun.
170
171Okay, V split again. There is now a V3. She immediately packed a bag, took some cash and went off on her own. I'm not sure where she is going but Vista seems to connected to the other two at all times so she tells me stories of her adventures. She's heard about me talking about Oregon so she went there. Now she wants me to come up so I can show her around. Thats the plan for now.
172
173And here we are on year four! V4 joins our group for a short while before heading off on her own. Something about Canada. Its been an interesting year. Met some Vampires who were a jolly couple and gave me some info in exchange for some of my blood. Apparently I'm some kind of exotic specimen or something. No clue. They found me tasty and I got to learn some stuff about the world. Not sure if any of its true but what the heck. Back to traveling across America!
174
175Year five and I'm starting to get concerned. We now have a V5 and I'm wondering if this is going to be a yearly thing and if its going to cap out. Vista is growing scary fast and it kinda of bothers me. No one else seems to be a match for her and trying to talk to her through our Mental Bond is challenging. I'm not sure what to liken it too. Other then that, crossed off our thirty-sixth state today. We're really taking it slow. Current plan is to just continue winding up and down America, head to Hawaii if possible and from there who knows? We also seem to be more frequently running into some of the stranger elements of the world. Vampires, Werewolves, Wizards, Porters and more. I have no idea what the deal with the Porters is but apparently they are kinda a big deal?
176Been trying to figure out this magic stuff but it doens't seem to be going well. Shit goes south real quick when others try to show me. Something about me fucks with magic in a bad way. On the opposite side, magic seems to have a harder time effecting me so thats fun.
177
178
179Ten years! Ten years and You Know Who showed up again. No, not Voldy. The Benefactor. Asked if I had fun. Kinda did. Growing tired of the homeless bit. And V is starting to get kinda crazy. There are ten of her now. TEN. This worries me in many ways. I'm not sure what she's been up too but two always accompany me now, one stays in the Warehouse at all times when possible and the rest seem to have been traveling the world. I've seen her show up on the news several times and people seem to be coming to us for assistance at times. Well her. No one knows who I am really. I'm kinda playing a background character at this point. I think some people started to put two and two together though and at some point someone tried to kidnap me. Walked right into the Warehouse. I think pieces of them are still on the ceiling. Vista scares the crap out of me at times.
180"Yeah, I'm ready to get out of here. Nope, don't need options. Lets Move On! Next world please. I think we're starting to outstay our welcome here!"
181"Oh, poo! You ignored the main plot and barely got involved. Do try harder next time!"
182"Plot? Wait. Pokemon and then this? Was this a video game too or something? Is that what we're doing? I'm effecting the plot to video games?"
183"Why tell you and ruin the surprise! Do keep me entertained!"
184
185
18680's Action Movie
187Welcome, Jumper, to the world of 80s Action Movies. This world is a lot like your own 1980s, but... a bit more explosive. There are Soviet plots around every corner, every crook has a rocket launcher, and the Secret Service had to fend off 163 attempts to kidnap the President’s Daughter this year.
188There aren’t any real superpowers in the offing, but there are an awful lot of useful skills, and who
189knows? The scriptwriters might like you...
190
191"You mean you, right? You're the script writer? I'm digging the prompt though now I'm aware its here."
192
193"Hohoho, oh yes! I am the Script Writer! Call me what you want though."
194
195"Ooooh the things I could call you but won't cause I kinda enjoy living."
196
197"Thats the spirit! Now get out there and show me some fun!"
198
199"Where the hell is that gun I had? I know its somewhere in here with us. Yo, V! Find me my gun!"

207Drop-In: Free
208You wake up one day in your bed... which promptly explodes. And then the people outside start
209machine-gunning your house. Best start finding some friends fast, because you have no memories
210of this world to guide you.
211
212
213Skills:
214Not just anybody can be the star. Here are those skills you need to make sure that you survive a
215world of action, explosions, and car chases.
216
217One-Liner: Free
218You have a natural talent for one-liners. Sometimes intimidating your foes, sometimes daring them
219to battle, or just sarcastic responses to orders from your superiors, you have a good scriptwriter
220always able to help (or at least that’s what most watchers think). You’ve got good pre- and post-
221mortem quotes for those you’ve killed, and, as a bonus, you have a badass name. Unfortunately,
222you can’t prevent yourself from making those jokes, at least so long as you’re here.
223
224Bulging Muscles: Free
225You are BUILT. You have muscles like a Mr. Universe competitor, or a long-time steroid user, but
226without any of the typical drawbacks. You’re generally very fit and tough, and are quite strong in all
227areas of muscular strength. The only problem is that occasionally your muscles are TOO large or
228bulky. But that’s not much of a tradeoff, is it?

231Big booms are your friends. When a large explosion happens, you just aren’t as affected as everyone
232else, especially if you have time to prepare. If you turn away from an explosion and have put on a
233pair of sunglasses (or put down a visor) within the last 5 seconds, or if you are walking calmly away,
234you can be assured the worst that will happen is a light buffet.
235
236Hidden Talent: 100 CP: --Cooking--
237You have a hidden talent. You’re an astronomer, a pop singer, or a cordon-bleu chef. It’s at least a
238reasonable sideline for when you’re suspended from the force, and you never know when it’ll be
239useful. After all, that time in Bogota that you needed to serve as a wedding planner to get the cartel
240kingpin out of hiding still ended with him in cuffs, and that’s all that matters.
241
242Old Age and Treachery: 100 CP
243No matter how old you are, you can still kick ass and keep up your muscle mass. Those cigarettes
244never really do you any harm, and you’re always incredibly spry for a man your age. Up until
245literally your dying breath, you’ll still be in peak physical condition as far as fighting and any stunts
246are concerned. Your wounds will cause pain in the winter, but don’t expect arthritis to keep you
247from being a fast draw.
248
249Explosive Environments: 100 CP
250The whole world is just a little more fragile around you but usually in a way that helps. Even if
251you’re not that strong, you can break down any door with one good kick, and even the toughest
252locks can easily be shot off. In a fight people you punch keep getting embedded in drywall or thrown
253through benches.
254
255Ain’t Got Time to Bleed: 200 CP
256When your adrenaline kicks in, it really kicks. You have a truly insane pain tolerance, and you can
257keep going through almost lethal injuries through sheer force of will. Someone blows off your arm?
258Beat ‘em to death with it! You don’t actually heal any faster but you can keep going when pain and
259shock would stop a lesser man.
260
261Ghost of the Forest: 200 CP
262You are most at home in the woods. You’re a master of trapping, tracking, and hunting, able to
263make traps and weapons with just a knife and some sticks. Your skills with a bow are impeccable,
264and you never snap a twig you don’t intend when you’re stalking. If the limbs hold up to your
265weight, you can even brachiate!
266
267Goddamn Sexual Tyrannosaurus: 300 CP
268You’re irresistible. You have a natural animal magnetism that’s unmatched and incredible sexual
269endurance. You have the chops to seduce El Presidente’s nubile daughter, the skills to convince her
270to join your rebellion, and the stamina to survive when it turns out she has 11 sisters.
271
272
273Items:
274Pick up some equipment to keep you alive.
275You can win with your bare fists, sure, but sometimes a good gun is even cooler.
276
277
278Cool Shades: 50 CP
279This pair of cool-looking wrap-around sunglasses is mirrored and polarized. The shades themselves
280are almost indestructible, and they make you look very imposing (and hide which way you’re
281looking). Further, they have a small Heads-Up-Display showing how many casualties you’ve caused
282since the last time you reset them.
283
284Muscle Shirt: 50 CP
285You have a plain-looking white undershirt. It shows off your muscles to best effect at all times, and
286though it’s thin you can still hide things beneath it (like a badge around your neck). While you’ll get
287hurt plenty, the shirt itself is almost undamageable.
288
289Laptop: 200 CP
290Some form of “Computer,†you’re not really sure how this thing works. You type on it and magic
291happens. If you have a sufficiently technologically adept friend, he or she can use it to work real
292magic. They have to type in binary, and it’s just green and black, but this machine can hack into
293anything that vaguely runs on electronics.
294
295
296Drawbacks:
297You can pick up to three Drawbacks, totaling no more than 600 CP, to make your time here a little
298more interesting.
299
300Prop Weapons: +100 CP
301While guns are very useful, yours seem to all have an unusual problem (even those you pick up from corpses). You can’t seem to reload them! You’ve gotta just keep switching guns whenever one runs out. You might be able to reload them later, in a moment of peace and silence, but in a battle?
302Once that magazine’s out, better grab a new pistol.
303
304Suburban Hellhole: +200 CP
305The whole world’s in a sorry state. There are wars all over the place, the crime rate’s risen 400% in
306the last year, and even honest citizens are having to carry to keep themselves alive. Expect gunfights
307to break out even quicker than normal, and you’ll probably end up having to police the place
308somehow. There are rumors the government’s even considered making some Mega-City, or
309blocking parts off to contain the crime....

313=Story=
314This is new! Ooooh, soft sheets! A real matress! Aaaand I'm being flung across the room. The noise is deafening. My head is ringing. The bed is on fire. Someone is now opening fire on the bedroom I'm in.
315It seems if I can't keep the Benefactor entertained, I'll be forced to entertain her.
316Well the bedroom is trashed, the walls seem to be made of paper and I am now running through what I assume is my house in only my boxers and a plain white undershirt. A moments glances tells me that I seem to about the same age as last time. More then likely much younger. I was fourty something last world and now twenty something. Maybe early thirties. Also fucking shredded. Like damn. I bet I could flip a couch one handed!
317Turns out, yes. Yes, I can flip a couch one handed. Only saying as much as I am now taking cover behind said couch. I doubt it'll help much but its the thought that counts. Glancing over the now ruined couch tells me several people are now coming up the front lawn.
318Step one is throwing a portal on the ceiling. Step two is making a run for the closet. Step three is jumping into the closet as bullet fire lights up the spot I was just standing. Step four is rolling through a second portal into my Warehouse where I casually pick up a loaded pistol off a cabinet. Step five is falling through the first portal onto the couch behind my confused attackers and opening fire.
319
320By now my companions have dropped from the ceiling and are milling about the living room. I'm flipping over a body when Vista approaches while the other V's spread out through the house. I did not expect those to come with us. V looks like she wants to say something.
321"You're bleeding."
322Not what I expected her to say. Another look at myself shows that yes, I am fucking ripped now and that I am also bleeding. From multiple gun shot wounds. Yeah, I can start to feel those.
323"I'll meet you in the Med Bay, V. This place is a bust. Strip it down and toss it all in the House. All of it," I order and everyone starts to comply to the best of their ability while V helps me limp back into the closet and through the second portal.
324
325So fun fact. Vista knows first aid! Also how to treat bullet wounds! This seems like its going to be an important skill here! Stitches don't hurt nearly as much as I remember. I remember everything. I have a new found tolerance for pain. I do not wish to test its limits.
326Fifteen minutes later and most of the house has been stripped. Everything down to the kitchen sink and bathroom. I know we have the hook ups in here. Now we have more stuff to hook up. More V's are starting to crowd the room. They all seem to have the same look on their faces. Each of them is eyeing me and I shrug.
327"I have a vague idea what you're thinking. I didn't start this, yes it hurts, and---," A new thought crosses my mind and hands are no longer just stitching up wounds. "Woah. Okay, did not expect that one!" I push aside the V's and get dressed. Nope. No. Not going to open that bag of worms.
328I paused to look over my shoulder as I put pants on. Ripped jeans. How cliche. The V's were all watching me dress with great interest. Her thoughts we no longer jumbled and scattered across ten minds. They were all focused on one thing. Me. It was eerie. The mind thing. Seeing and feeling what she felt now. Getting dizzy. Strange feedback loop. It was time to get out of there and go for a walk.
329
330Walking helped. Helped me get my mind off the pain. The awkwardness forming between the V's and myself. Helped me realize what kind of hellhole we got dropped in.
331Crime rates through the roofs, crime in the government, wars looming on the horizon, and violence on every corner. A shooting could happen at any moment and here I am looking at the tabloids section of a newspaper stand. I still have some spare cash from the last world and it seems to pass here. Papers date puts me in the 80's so I'll have to sift through the money back home and not spend anything from before todays date----Vista is already ahead of me and is working on it now. The other eight V's have spread out and are covering the city, learning as they go. The internet here is still very young but its there so she'll be busy for awhile.
332Someone tried to mug me when I passed an alley way. Vista broke his wrist and then his friends tried to jump us. I knocked out the rest before V killed them and hurried on. Geez, this place is a powder keg ready to blow. Vista starts giving me the low down as we go. Russia, China and Korea are all ready to go to war. Europe seems ready to sever ties with us. Not sure what the hell is going on in Japan. Something about a cyber war with the Yakuza. Should probably stay away from that shit.
333Oh look, a shoot out with the cops. Better not get involved----And that plan has gone out the window. Its a shoot out in front of a fucking orphanage for wayward kids. Fuck this place! Guess I'll slide across that car hood, bust through that window and then drop in behind the punks---
334
335
336Okay so three years in and everything is a little better then I had thought. Vista is now REALLY good at patching up bullet wounds. And knife wounds. And animal bites. And removing shrapnel. Also she isn't splitting anymore. There is just ten of her. Which is more then I can handle. I think we're a thing now. Its awkward. Like she used to be a Pokemon but is now a kickass Bio-Android with like 9 hot sisters who are all the same person. Also cause I'm maybe dating the hot chick who runs the orphanage and the mayors aide who I helped put the mayor behind bars after uncovering an illegal drug smuggling ring and stuff.
337Like its been an extreme three years. The House is now like fifty percent computers. I'm not sure what Vista is building but its probably important. I help when I can but I think I'm holding her back. I've found when not going on dates with someone or rolling around the cargo pod with one of the V's, I seem to be spending more and more time with the Pokes.
338Totodile and I go for a lot of swims, Lee and I are always sparring, and everyone else I just chill with. I think Lee understands most of whats going on. He's like the second most human here and has saved my life dozens of times over. The others I'm not too sure about. I can't read their minds. I don't think they truely grasp whats going on other then sometimes I get hurt and other times we get to go for walks. I've learned to give no fucks any more here. Its so fucked up I don't care. I walk about with the Pokemon all the time. Someone tried to steal my "Pet Alligator" and ended up nearly losing a couple fingers. I even watched Larvitar eat a car once cause someone dumped it in out front lawn.
339I'm also slowly amasing a huge freaking pile of loot. That all I can call it. Guns, knives, cars, bikes, computers and more. Like its all technically stolen property or belong to criminals so I don't think anyone will notice it missing, right? Also a couple gold bars have come into my possession. I think they're Russian.
340
341
342
343Year seven and this place is SO fucked. Like bent over a barrel and done. Nukes have already been launched and I have no clue how to stop them. I think Vista is hacking the internet as we speak through a laptop we found years ago and a cellphone no less. Anyways, yeah, things spiraled out of control shortly after I managed to wrestle control of Chicago from the gangs. Ended up being kidnapped and on a boat to Mexico cause of some shit with the drug cartels.
344Ended up escaping, throwing a lot of people off a boat and crashing said boat into a harbor before having to fight my way off the docks. Stole an AK-47 and a machette along the way. Had to spend several weeks living in the forest fighting a guerilla war with cartel soldiers before Vista tracked me down, smacked some sense into me and had me open a Portal to the House. Kinda felt dumb but wasn't really thinking at the time. Just sorta went feral and killed a lot of people in the woods.
345That ended with a lot of angry V's tearing apart a lot of mansions and killing a lot of dudes. I think she caught on to me sleeping with some local chick in the short while I was here and is taking it out on other people. Note to self, Vista may have gone the route of crazy AI and I may have to kill her at some time. Post post script, I broke the rule of never sticking it in crazy.
346In the end there, V traced a lot of shit back to China of all places where we blew through some Triad bullshit there, destroyed alot of drug caches, picked up MORE guns and lead a personal war against drugs. Well mostly Vista and Lee. I seemed to get shot a lot of ended up on the wrong side of a knife one too many times and spent a lot of time healing up. Most of the action I got to see was some pretty face I saved along the way here and there and the occasional few times I had to rescue V or Lee. I'm starting to think V is intentionally getting hurt and captured just so I'd come save her. Might be over thinking it.
347That ended up leading us to Russia who was selling them weapons in exchange for drugs. That didn't last as long as I thought and had some weird plotline including some really, really smoking hot Russian chick with some sort of BDSM fetish keeping me prisoner for several days. I don't think they ever recovered her body after V arrived and saved me. All of that in turn pointed back to someone in Europe of all places pulling the strings in some sort of convoluted shadow war going on to draw America into beginning a war with Russia and China so they could swoop in and pick up the pieces? I have no idea. I just had V send all the data on everything we recovered to every government in the world and then we retired to god knows where. Its a mountain with a lake and a temperate climate. I've been learning to fish and have found I have a talent for cooking.
348
349Year ten and I am ready to move the fuck on. I'm not sure how the fuck ninjas found us in the middle of fucking no where but they did and I ended up heading to Japan. Two V's were glued to me the entire time so I'd not try to...sample the local cuisine. I learned some Kung Fu...Not a lot. I'm not very good at it. Lee and Vista learned more then I did. I think the Trubbish and the Jolteon learned more then I did. I know all the moves and shit. I got a perfect memory but I got upstaged by a bag of garbage!
350So yeah, my last three years here ended with me as some sort of puppet head of the Yakuza here with Vista pulling my strings. She knows how to run all this. I'm just a figure head. I think everyone here knows this.
351"Ohohoh, that was much better! The action! The explosions!"
352"The part where I got stabbed multiple times and spent several weeks of each month in stitches."
353"Can't deny it would make for a great action movie though!"
354"...Oh you bitch. Was that what this was? What was that? The Last Action Hero or something? Die Hard?"
355"Ohohohoh, who cares? Its over! You had fun!"
356"F is for fires the burn down the whole town. U is for Uranium...bombs. N is for No survivors---"
357"Do you want to get sent to Sponge Bob?"
358"Shutting up now. Lets Move On. I don't think I can go home and this place bothers me. Can we go somewhere less...Action movie? Something a bit simpler, please?"
359"I'll think about it."
