29When all is at stake, and the losses mount is usually when one can find the Frozen Lion of Vers. The popular saying among the Versian Forces is what defined Lionel Rosenstone early on in his life and most of his career until recently. With his Clan under an unknown assault from within the Empire, he used a desperate gambit with the Crusade to Gaia to flee the Empire and start anew with the entirety of his Clan. Since coming to Gaia, or as the natives call it Zora, Lionel has lost more than any of the other Versian Crusaders. His Aldnoah machine was defeated and broken beyond repair, rumors of dissention in his Clan's ranks abound, and he finds himself in an uneasy alliance with the New Ameria Republic and Earth Militia in a mutual defensive and technology exchange pact. Now his Landing Castle stands as a beacon to the Human Debris that they have another free area with the culture they know, and beckons to them. Lionel himself, proud and humble as he is, looks to fear little in the way of reprisal despite not being an Orbital Knight in anything but title. Skilled in shock and awe tactics with a shocking mastery of the element of ice, he fights for the glory of his Clan to be renewed on Gaia while hunting for the murderers of his siblings either here or back on Mars.

354. History
36Tell us about your character's history and how they fit into the ongoing narrative of Super Robot Wars MUSH. This doesn't have to be super complicated, we are just looking for a coherent connection to the setting of the MUSH. If you're an FC, we're looking for an understanding of the character's past, including the changes to the character necessitated by their integration into the MUSH. OCs and some FCs can also request not to know your character's history in some circumstances (amnesia, alien infiltrator, etc.), for staff running plots to surprise you with.
37
38In the Versian Empire, there exists a Clan reknown for their defensive capabilities. The Rosenstones were noted for being experts at defense and able to weather assaults both from within and without extensively. Like the knights of old, their machines specialized in using "shield" and "sword" to fight back against their enemies. Some even called them the Shield of the Empire whenever they took to the battlefield. The Clan was renowned for it's defensive technologies enough that they started fielding Baqto's when they came out, as well as Waffles. To help outside the battlefield, the Clan was also known for their performances with their respective elemental manipulation skills. The Clan became well known for having an entertainment troupe on the side that put on extravagant performances involving fire, wind, and rarely (due to a shortage of it) water.
39
40Over time, however, the Clan suffered a variety of problems. Despite their founder being an Orbital Knight, the Clan began to suffer attacks from without that caused them to slowly begin to weaken over time. It took many, many years before it was highly noticeable by even the Emperor, but the Clan was slowly starting to become extinct. In another few decades, it would be wiped out possibly if another Clan didn't do so first.
41
42Into this is born Lionel, third son of the Clan's current leader. Ingrid and William Rosenstone were happy for their third child as it meant if anything happened to them, the future was almost secure for their Clan. Both of his parents died to the wasting sickness of Mars when he was just 5 years old. Lionel was devastated but thanks to his older siblings Victor and Muriel, he survived and became stronger for it.
43
44Like most of his family, he found himself able to manipulate the elements. In his case, he showed an amazing aptitude for freezing the very air to become ice. Sadly, manipulating the elements did not make you well suited for combat in space nor for Mars. Earth and wind manipulation did, but the rest? Not a chance. Still, Lionel was good for one thing starting out. He became part of the entertainment branch of the family at first. Beginning to train at 5 since there was no possibility for him to inherit the Clan Head's title with two older siblings, he instead began to perfect his fighting skills with the dance like movements that the Clan used to manipulate the elements they commanded.
45
46By the time he was 10, his skills had given way to the nickname of the "Silver Lion" after how he could make a beautiful mist in his entertainment, something that gave way to those that could use the elements of wind or water something to use in their arts. Lionel at 12 was one of the youngest entertainers in the Versian courts and empire, even going so far to be a wanted courtesan by the younger members of nobility. What young lady didn't dream of dancing on a cloud as if in a dream, after all?
47
48Things began to change when he was 12, however. His eldest brother died mysteriously. While it was on the front lines of defense, the fact was that he was surrounded by his men and no one is sure what exactly killed him. Some say it was a psychodriver, others say it was a disgruntled member of the Clan. Yet others say it was poison. To this day, the mystery remains. By the time that Lionel was 13, the Crusade was starting to gear up. His sister was in charge and Lionel was being trained more as heir just in case.
49
50The two relentlessly pursued clues to who killed Victor throughout a year before finally having to give up. Lionel continued his training, and even began to train in a Baqto to get ready just in case. The Baqto's defenses were some of the top notch for it's size and it was more of a line defender. While he kept a sharp eye out just in case, becoming a cold, ruthless pilot searching for those that threatened his home as much as he could... he couldn't see what else was coming.
51
52Muriel ended up dead through unknown means. It was later discovered she had some sort of poison injected into her at a ball with the Emperor in attendance. Even with Lionel being there in attendance, he had not seen exactly who did it as she had danced with quite a few people. Even worse, the poison did not even act until the next day. It was ingenious how it was done, but Lionel did not care at all for that.
53
54In the end, the only thing he could do was vow to protect the Clan. Being blessed with the Aldnoah to use his family's Aldnoah machine, the Boreale, was a mighty defensive machine designed to protect troops and to give back as good as it got. The massive shield was a very blessed thing for those on the front lines of conflicts, especially when it could generate a further massive shield around allied units. It was the perfect defense more or less next to an all around defense. Lionel was honored to use it. Focusing on the defensive aspect and using the Boreale's indirect missiles to fight was one of the highlights of his life.
55
56Even then, he began to realize how badly in shape his Clan was. He tried his best to negotiate more resources for them, time and again, but was finding it harder and harder. By the time he was 17, it was obvious he might be the last Clan head that was an Orbital Knight. Lionel even nearly took to other means but something stopped him from doing so. Then... the Crusades came. Lionel had a desperate, insane, and otherwise crazy idea. So, he began to seek out Corporations and others to do one thing.
57
58Sell it all. Get the resources he and his Clan needed. It didn't matter if they were civilian, military, or even minor nobility. He had enough room in his Landing Castle to make it work. That was the good part. The bad part is that he needed to make it work. It took months before he was finally ready to launch with the rest on the Crusade. Months that were understandable at least by the other Orbital Knights to a degree. But, it was a gamble that Lionel was willing to take. And further that his people supported him in. By the end of it, he had a large series of resources to make due with. Machines for building, for rehabitation of Gaia as well as for building defenses around his Landing Castle.
59
60The journey itself was very, very grueling. Even Lionel himself held to rations as all of Clan Rosenstone made the journey. Not just one or two. ALL of them that remained. Civilians, soldiers, industrial technicians, children, babies. Every single one was either in cryo sleep, being cared for in some way, or brought along for the journey. The bare minimum was kept out of cryo sleep for the journey to Gaia alone. Not just because rations were short, but because it was the only way to survive. Still, there were casualities that ended up being replaced by others as needed. Lionel hated when such happened. Suicides, accidents, and other casualities were not something he could stand.
61
62Once they reached Gaia, however, Lionel did not land with the others. He waited. And waited. Seeing Castle Corner fall from orbit, the young Lord had misgivings but decided to go with his plan B. He wanted to simply find a place to hold up, and let his people flourish. Seeing the trouble of one Baron Relius, however... Lionel saw an opportunity. Anything that could hard press an Orbital Knight might be a worthy ally.
63
64Organizing the drop, Lionel had his Landing Castle touch down in an unoccupied area away from Relius's end of "Yapan" as the transmissions they intercepted called it. Then he began the process of unfreezing everyone. Once they were unfrozen, Lionel began the process of setting things up for his Clan before setting out in the Boreale with a small contingent to try to find the possible ally. This "Getter" that he had heard of.
65
66Lionel set off with nine other pilots to try to make contact with the Getter forces. Unfortunately for them, shortly after touching down on Yapan they made contact. At first trying for a peaceful talk, Lionel was lucky when one of his men's unit was attacked first by the trees themselves. Afterwards, he raised the Boreale's shield and the skirmish was short, and bloody. Not understanding the Getter's motives nor their tactics, Lionel was lucky as he moved the fight to where the Getter hopefully wouldn't realize where they came from. Sending a brief message for the rest of his Clan to stay clear, they fought back as hard as possible.
67
68In the end, despite taking one or two down, Lionel's forces lost. Lionel himself kept the Getter at bay near the beaches long enough until reinforcements arrived. Even then, his only means of escaping was not unscathed. One of the Getters managed to pierce the Aldnoah drive when he began to attack back. This resulted in it and another trying to use the Boreale for spare parts before his forces managed to destroy them.
69
70With the devastating loss of the Boreale, Lionel was at a further loss even when his small team of engineers proposed rebuilding it with a spare baqto and using newer technology that was more weaponized for their new environment. All seemed lost as he realized that he had pretty much lost the last thing connecting him to his siblings. Lionel's grief was almost enough that his ice based powers frozen his room solid when he realized that.
71
72Month later, when the new Chasma Boreale Custom was nearing completion, Lionel received a message. Someone was wanting to make an alliance with him. A mutual defensive pact and technology exchange. Lionel had been fighting at this time with a variety of units to keep enemies guessing. To continue fighting and to keep other Knights from claiming the last link he had to his Clan's safety. The Landing Castle itself.
73
74The message was from a Guin Lineford seeking such an alliance on behalf of the New Amerian Republic. The meeting table tended to stall with various events happening. But with the fall of Count Corner, it was obvious that Lionel would have to push hard since he had something they wanted. Superior technology that just needed power to run the factories and other facilities in the Landing Castle more so than what the Aldnoah Drive of the Castle could put out. And the materials to use it.
75
76In exchange for use of the technology, the Landing Castle was moved to the edge of the New Amerian Republic nearer the ocean with a supplies being shipped to them and used to manufactor new technologies, ways of living, and other means of improving the life of the New Amerian Republic. One concession, and that when he realized it made sense... Lionel took it. The Debris caste under him was completely, utterly freed. No one was a slave to anyone any more. This, naturally, created an imbalance as some protested. Lionel, after a while, had enough and put his proverbial foot down once the Chasma Boreale Custom was completed. He invited anyone who disagreed to face him in Trial among his Clan. After the first one was left with no machine to their name, everyone else backed down.
77
78Even then, this probably did not quiet all of his Clan. He knew that he needed to solidify things quicker, but did he have time? Could he do it? That was one of the major questions that Lionel was asking constantly. Over and over again as he signed the agreement with the Earth Militia months after the Siege of Hades. And it was questions that he was hoping he had good answers for in the end.
79
80
81
825. Personality
83This is the nuts and bolts of the character, and the most important part of the application. Tell us about how your character thinks and acts, how their history (or lack thereof!) has shaped that thought process, and their relationships with other people and organizations. What are your character's hopes and dreams? What motivates them to go out and do what they're doing? Most importantly, entertain the questions of "Why Is This Character Interesting (To Other People)" and "Why Do People Want To Interact With This Individual".
84
85Lionel as a person is a couple of things. The most obvious is that he has nearly lost everything by caring for those under him with the compassion of a born leader. Despite all that has happened to him, he has yet to stop caring about those under him much as a father might for their child to watch out for anyone and anything that he can. His experiences have left him surprisingly humble, when he could be boasting and screaming at the heavens rather for their part in his life's tragedies.
86
87His biggest goal at the moment is to see if he can revitalize his Clan. To bring it back to the former glory it once was as an entertainer to the masses of a new world. For him, his greatest accomplishments were on stage or in the court room. When people smiled when they were entertained by performances either by himself or others, he was happy. He knew that he had accomplished something that would help them through a day, a week, or even a month.
88
89He really doesn't care about the wealth, nor the material possessions of his Clan. The Clan itself is what drives him. So long as any of them support him then he will happily lead them until the day someone kills him or he dies of old age. When it comes down to it, he recognizes all those that live around his Castle and in it as people that are his to protect. To make sure they are safe, taken care of, and to the best of his ability become the next generation as his siblings did for him.
90
91The death of his family, however, is one of the darkest and most obsessive traits that he has. He, to this day, does not know who killed them. Nor does he know why. Even when himself and his older sister searched they could not find a thing, after all. If given a lead or possibly pointed at someone who might know information, Lionel will put all of his abilities, resources, and any allies willing to be pointed right at them like a blood hound on steroids and won't stop until he can find out from the person whether or not they were involved.
92
93Among his interests so far outside of the drive for vengeance and to protect others is that he has a healthy interest in the Dark History. Especially in terms of entertainment values, dances, and music from before the Dark History. He knows there is a variety out there and wants to discover it so he can share it with his Clan to help them adapt as well as make more shows that they can perform for fun.
94
95The most interesting part about Lionel is the fact that hardly anything seems to phase him at times. Even when in combat, shocked, or otherwise under duress he does his best to keep his cool and mostly indifferent attitude. To his Clan, this makes him a strong leader. To those outside it, it makes him a hard read. His ability to look at others and have that noble bearing despite all that has happened and is publicly known about him happens to be one of his most endearing, focused traits that make people look at him and go 'Who is that and why is he not down trodden like the rest of us?'
96
97Further, he has shown a soft spot for younger characters down to sometimes arriving entertaining children with his strength (seriously, he could probably carry up to five kids on his shoulders easily) or telling stories and giving performances if begged. One of the true regrets is that if he makes ice sculptures, they will eventually melt no matter what happens on Gaia and he feels that he can at least give a temporary bit of happiness to people around him because of it. All and all, Lionel has a heart of gold in that humble demeanor of his but focuses it on his Clan and those that just don't know any better usually.
98
99The last and most important part to touch on for Lionel is the concept of honor. While Versians call him the Fallen or Depossessed Knight, Lionel still honors his rank as an Orbital Knight as well as the Versian culture in his own way. He will gladly accept Trials and fights that are fair from fellow Versians. Further, he will endeavour to do so without help or with equal forces alone. He won't pull any overwhelming forces, dirty tricks, or other means to win a fight but will rarely will he surrender or yield unless he has no choice but to do so to live and challenge another day. Despite all of his past tragedies and problems, Lionel still has that sense of honor he was taught by his family and will still die to honor his family name if it comes down to it.

1015a. Literacy & Localization
102For characters native to Zora: Is your character literate? Why? In what ways? Why was this important to them? Are they the sort who 'knows their letters', do they read at an early grade school level, in a business sense, or as an elective activity for pleasure? Somewhere in between? Sell us on why. Remember that less than 30% of Zora is literate, and of that slice, the most populous group (Beastmen) have an incredible but elective education system. Meanwhile, the Innocent are literate almost by default, as is their right and requirement, but there's always an exception. Help us get a handle on this, for you.
103
104For characters not native to Zora: In what ways is the world you find yourself in different? How is it wonderful? How is it terrible? What do you miss? What new thing draws you? Does anything?
105
106
1076. Faction
108Questions pertaining to our factions and groups on SRWM
109
1106a. Your Faction
111What faction is your character affiliated with? Are they in a Group? Why are they in it, or in the case of being Unaffiliated, why aren't they in one? Describe in detail what your character thinks about the ideology of their faction, and how their own personality meshes with it. Finally, think of any potential problems they might have with their faction or the people in it, and name at least two solutions to these problems that are reasonable for them to take.
112
113Earth Militia is his faction specifically.
114
115The Earth Militia is, despite Versian traditions, the ones that approached Clan Rosenstone with the best deal. Surely there was others, but the major faction has made it to where Lionel has a stake in it. While he doesn't like bucking tradition and realizes that the caste system was mostly wrong, he has no problems with granting what amounts to slaves their freedom to choose, grow, and otherwise become their own people.
116
117While that has resulted in a loss of manpower, it surprisingly wasn't that much and he finds himself redoing and bettering units to make sure his new Clan's men and women survive the battlefield. However, the policies of the New Ameria Republic are pretty common sense. And they have allowed him some autonomy due to the Aldnoah drive of the Castle being linked to him explicitly.
118
119His feelings towards them usually are ones of comradery because he has heard the tales of a lot of them not being of Gaia. Further, he recognizes that a lot of them are as lost as he is at times and others are just doing the same thing he does. Protecting their home from the larger, scarier people out there. However, he keeps them at arm's reach because he knows they are only there for the technology that he possesses as well as the abilities of his Landing Castle to churn out parts and be a self-sustaining fortress in it's own right.
120
121Versian Clans is his primary group.
122
123Despite being ousted, Lionel has his own sense of honor that answers to that of the Versians themselves. While his inclusion with the way he has done things is closer to honorary, he is still and will answer calls for help if a Versian Clan is about to be wiped out. However, other than that he does honor the Versian ways as much as he can. The caste system is not something he honors. The Trials, however, and the ways of his people in terms of honor as an Orbital Knight are all there for him to grasp, to use, and to otherwise declare challenges as he sees fit.
124
125The flip side to this, however, is that Lionel has little trust for the Versian Clans at all. Even those trying to negotiate with him or shove their Human Debris off on him to free them will find problems in negotiating. This is not because of his reputation at all, but rather that Lionel has no clue who orchestrated the murder of his siblings. To him, almost any Versian is a target in this regards and at times even his own Clan members are targets for such insane plots.
126
127The Iron Path.
128
129While not exactly a full standing organization, on some excursions Lionel has seen fighters of the Iron Path. Just like the Versians, Lionel has respect for them enough to honor their ways and even join in their training from time to time. The Iron Path's view on Lionel is questionable, but he has had some respectable fights with it's members both in and out of mecha.
130
131To Lionel this is a way to further his skills for the sake of those skills and to pass on ideals instilled in him by his teachers when he was younger. Lionel's motivation with the Iron Path is to test those hard earned fighting skills of his in a way that will not endanger his Clan. He prefers the Iron Path's fights overall because they do so in an honored test to see who's skills are better rather than who can blow up the other person.
132
133
1346b. Other Factions
135Please, briefly, summarize your character's thoughts on other factions, including major hangups, vendettas, and other things - for good or ill - they have or feel towards other factions - major factions are mandatory, groups optional.
136
137Spiral Empire
138
139The major hang up that Lionel has with the Spiral Empire is the oppression of technology. As far as he is concerned, that is something that is all together stupid, not worth it, and just asking for people to poke around no matter how powerful they are. He doesn't trust such philosophy. The Aldnoah drive at least had a reason, but all this 'humanity could be wiped out' or 'you should not be poking at this' such?
140
141Lionel further doesn't like how they look to be treating Civilians/Humans at times from what he has heard. He has heard how oppressive they can be in areas not dominant with them, but also realizes that might just be individuals rather than the empire. He does want to see, perhaps, if those rumors are true but hesistates because it could cost his Clan to do so.
142
143He does have a major vendetta with most of the Gunmen, however, due to their overall design, looks, and that as far as technology go the Spirals could be helping out the people under them a lot more than they have.
144
145Innocent/Gjallarhorn
146
147These guys just make Lionel's skin crawl. Their main people hid in domes, let others suffer, and then came out with some big plan to govern those around them? And then they have to wear some funky suits just to survive outside of those domes? That's not government. That's oppression by a few. As far as Lionel is concerned they don't really deserve to lead at all, or be as big as they are and if he had his way he would simply destroy the domes themselves and be done with it.
148
149Just don't even get him started on the Comrade's plan. No matter if they opposed it or not, their faction is what started that whole mess. And they let it happen. Seriously bad government/leadership/ideals on their part as far as he is concerned. That about sums it up as far as they are concerned. He doesn't trust them about as far as he can throw them despite their power base.
150
151Wolves/Vultures
152
153To Lionel, these are more private military companies overall. The early days he had no respect for them. They were disorganized, they tended to raid Versian holdings, and overall they were nothing more than uncivilized bandits, pests, and people that he shot with extreme prejudice via long range or launched squads to get combat practice on them.
154
155Since their reformation into the Wolves of War, grudgingly they have been given respect from Lionel. He doesn't hate them, but it is more of a professional respect and a watchful attitude to see if they might be useful in the long run. News reports, rumors, tales, and other such information that comes to him is taken with a grain of salt until he has opportunities to work with individuals in the unit at the moment. Their leadership definitely has his full attention from his own battlefield experiences, however, in being possible allies.
156
157
1587. Powers, Skills, Assets
159What powers, skills, and assets does your character have? Being a "Mecha Pilot" is assumed so you don't need to put that here, but what else do they bring to the table? Did you sell your soul for power, or do you have useful skills? A base of operations, or great wealth? Maybe a team of NPCs to repair and rearm your robot? We'd love to know! These are subdivided below, and will be placed in info files that only you and staff will be able to access. Please note, this is NOT the Combat section - nothing here should directly and mechanically apply to a fight - we're looking for narrative abilities. Additionally, try to keep it simple, unless something warrants thorough explaining. Erase the examples when filling in the next three fields.
160
161Post-approval, please understand that staff may add, remove, or modify these entries to accurately reflect what you have.
162
1637a. Powers
164Racial traits, supernatural abilities, etc. For example, having gills or wings from being a beastman, or having received a Geass power.
165
166Physical Attributes - Long hours of working his body, working with his men, and generally doing his best to help improve life on and off the battlefield for his men has resulted in an impressive amount of physical strength and toughness for Lionel. While he is not supernaturally strong, he is easily one of the strongest Civilians/Humans known without going into the absuredly strong category. This has further made him able to endure a lot more than your typical Civilian/Human in his own right. Torture will take longer to break him, he can endure working long hours, etc.
167
168Ice Ether User: To sum up Lionel's powers, he is able to control water to freeze. His power over this is through years of control from a young age that was encouraged. He can create mist, perform minor tricks, and even create armor around himself or freeze water into a variety of objects/weapons/items for both combative use or practical effects. While he can not control the direction after freezing it at this stage, he can still control the way water itself freezes in response to his command.
169- The Silverfield: One of the most intriguing and very much his go to far as utility both for scare tactics and for oddities is the Silverfield. This concentrates the moisture in the air into a fine fog around him, or even vaporizes nearby water sources into such a fog for him to use. The fog itself can be thin or thick, and is easily usable by water ether users to make their own magic or performances easily.
170- Ice Armor: When under attack, this is his number one defense. The ice armor condenses moisture in the air into a brief, hard armor around his body. If enough water is around, it can easily block bullets as well as punches, kicks, and other forms of attack.
171- Ice Artistry: Both a means of showing off, and a means of attack. With sufficient water/moisture, Lionel is able to create a variety of ice based objects with hand gestures alone. From frozen statues in the likeness of people to animals made of ice. His favorite quick tricks, however, are tossing out frozen ice shards that are razor sharp or even freezing someone's feet and weapons to make them useless against him.
172
1737b. Skills
174Learned talents. For example, being a surgeon, or an artist.
175
176Leadership: Unfortunately not the best, but Lionel has the skills to at least make those hard calls and to do his best to make sure others make it home safe and sound even at the cost of himself or the mission. The usual leader style he has is to assess group capability by the individual as much as possible, then stick them in spots where they can and will do the most good for themselves or the group. If someone is in a front line position but better suited for sniping or support, he is liable to point this out.
177
178Group Tactics: Part performance, and part battlefield experience. Lionel himself is a leader in terms of smaller groups. He can perform group defense/offense and other maneuvers easily on the battlefield or put on a large stage performance easily. The latter if given enough time to do so. An example would be that he could put on a dance performance easily with people who are trained in dance and can work together, but he can not make the impossible possible like other characters.
179
180Performance: One of Lionel's chief duties when he was younger was to put on a performance on stage. There he learned how to dance, how to create the wonders of the ice sculptures and how to be light on his feet as he put on performances that had many clapping in wonder. He still knows how to, and now he is more into publicly speaking and giving a performance in a different way but still occasionally can be enticed by his Clan or others to return to his roots.
181
182Dancing: Lionel, despite his larger size, is still a wonderful dancer. Ballroom dancing was one of his main dances, but he could also put on a surprisingly acrobatic stage performance with the best of them. He can easily navigate the dance floor with little to no problem.
183
184Courtesan: Another skill that Lionel has learned is how to be charming. He can usually, if he tries, do his best to charm a lady whether it be through good manners, dancing, or simply complimenting their looks. The man has no problems at all with attempting to charm or otherwise navigate his way around to find the right people to talk to in high society.
185
186Ether Knowledge: Growing up as Lionel did around a Clan who's entire livelihood is dance, fighting, working together, and using elemental powers you learn a lot fast. Lionel has a rough idea of what most of the classic Ether elements are capable of in standard terms, but also how to experiment with them and create spectacular effects. His 'Silverfield' ability is one such effect that was created to work with others, for example. Wind/air and water ether users can manipulate the fog he makes to create effects of their own, or have elements of a freezing cold to their abilities.
187
188Martial Arts: While he may not look like it, Lionel's dancing had another reason for being learned. Something he learned later in life thanks to instructors in his Clan. In a fight, Lionel is a constant grounding point usually. When it comes down to it he relies on a solid stance much like his unit does and tends to make quick steps forward. Once in close, his strikes tend to be knife hands or grab and throws/joint locks to attempt to disable someone. With his bigger size and strength, he can easily take on a room full of armed men, even if he will come away with cuts, bruises, or whatever else. Incorporating his ice ether powers into this leaves him room to freeze limbs into place.
189
190Marksmanship: While Lionel prefers to use his ice powers in personal combat, when you are a mecha pilot you do learn how to shoot pretty well. Lionel's preference is to use weapons that his greater strength makes it easier for him to use. However, he can at least hit the bullseye a good couple of times if he aims right.
191
192Weaponry: Because of the variety of mobile suit weapons in the world, Lionel trained to at least be passable with all of them. His personal favorite has always been swords or large axes, but his true speciality in terms of weaponry is basically boiled down to cane fighting. His personal cane or anything similar in his hand will allow him to incorporate it into his martial arts.
193
194Shield Combat: Thus far, two out of three personal units have used shields of some sort. Lionel has had to learn the hard way how to use those shields. Primarily this is placing them in the line of fire. With the Boreale he began to learn how to use his shield more creatively. Bashing, swinging it to deflect attacks away, and various other means. With the Chasma Boreale, he has quickly learned to turn the new folding shield designs to his serious advantage with shoulder charges among other things.
195
1967c. Assets
197Material possessions beyond the norm. Owning a major business, being filthy rich, having access to soldiers, repair crews, assorted NPCs, etc.
198
199Battle Capsules: Due to the scarcity of water and his reliance on such even in the arid deserts, the Rosenstone clan created these small capsules for use by their water Ether users. Lionel uses them in much the same way. The capsules are about the size of small marbles that are hypercompressed water. When squeezed and twisted with sufficient force, the capsules release the water on contact with a surface even if it is the palm of his hand. One capsule is enough for a standard long sword made of ice or to protect an arm or his torso from being hit usually. In terms of carrying capacity, he usually carries a number in a belt pouch and some in his pockets as well.
200
201Triggerstaff: This odd, seemingly decorate staff is actually Lionel's personal weapon. It serves as both a focus and as a means to use his ice powers readily. Otherwise, it looks like a cool staff. The staff's hidden feature is that it can unleash a stream of water from capsules hidden in the handle and easily reloaded if he runs out. The water is channelled along the staff's shaft internally before filling the etched designs. Lionel can flash freeze water and draw it from the designs to create a variety of shapes from swords to axes to shields with it.
202
203Landing Castle Rosenstone: The Landing Castle that his Clan came with is still very much intact, active, and ready for use. It serves as his base of operations, home, and center of his power in more ways than one. The Aldnoah Drive is still active, and overall the castle itself is a fortress when needed armed with a variety of defenses and still housed by at least a good number of loyal men and women willing to protect their home.
204
205Clan Rosenstone: His remaining Clan primarily are entertainers, but they have found themselves drafted and using their skills for war since they arrived. A war for survival that the Clan is possibly slowly winning or losing. They still are good at what they do. Entertain those around them with a variety of elemental abilities, dances, and can still farm and grow crops like any others. Their primary use, however, is as information gathering agents. Not many would suspect those that entertain them, nor what they can do in a pinch.
206
207Clan Militia: The few mecha pilots that Clan Rosenstone has left are those that willingly will pilot for Lionel. Where once was a small army now is perhaps half or even a fourth of that size with more stepping up to fill the ranks and get into a mech as they become available. At any time, Lionel may tend to call upon at least two or three to come with him. New volunteers are drafted in daily if they show aptitude for piloting, and he can usually replenish his ranks in a month or more even if they are rookie pilots.
208
209Vehicles: Like most Versians, Lionel has access to a number of transportation vehicles common to them. The Skycarriers are most common but he also has transport ships to move materials around as he can. Primarily these are land based ships since most were made to function more in space rather than gravity.
210
211Factories: Inside his Landing Castle, Lionel has access to manufactoring factories that can make a variety of items. Primarily these were entertainment or mecha based weapons, but since coming to Gaia they have also been churning out such things as portable shelters, parts to help build settlements, and other means that require an industrial backing. One section, however, is definitely devoted to robotic parts to help his allies or his own forces when called upon.

2178. Combat
218The purpose of this section is to explain your mecha's capabilities. Describe your character's personal primary (and if applicable, secondary) mecha. Explain their combat traits and features, using distinct headers for each so they can be distinguished from one another.
219
220I'm aiming at doing a custom mech. Appearance-wise, I'm basing it off of this.

222
223I'm unsure whether to call it at this point, so just putting it out there. The general idea is that he took the remains of his Aldnoah machine and retrofitted it with the large Baqto parts since that is what Lionel was mostly familiar with besides his Aldnoah machine. With the Aldnoah generator destroyed, and most of the unit trashed, he used what was on hand rather than simply pilot something brand new that his Clan could not afford overall.
224
225Name: Chasma Boreale Custom
226Size: Heavy
227Crew: Pilot, one passenger (systems/beam emitter gun) in head.
228Power Plant: Fusion generator.
229Base Weight: 60 tons
230Full Weight: 80 tons.
231
232Hardpoints: Two wrist mounts, two hip mounts, one central back mount.
233Physical Strength: High scale. Baqtos were built for power. With the basis of motor joints and other refits, the Chasma Boreale is easily able to lift twice it's own weight and toss it a good few feet.
234Running Speed: 100 kph.
235Leaping Distance: 80 meters.
236Flight: Powerful energy using thrusters are mounted in the upper back, legs, waist areas to allow the unit to fly. While it's top combat speed is only 120 kph, it can use the Boreale Shield to reach an impressive mach 1 outside of combat to reach targets quickly or escape.
237
238Extra Systems:
239Commander System - Lionel's troops and clansmen have always been important to him, thus the extra antenae disguised as horns on the head of his unit. The commander system is more of a means that he can easily keep track of his troops on a HUD display.
240Cockpit - The cockpit of the Chasma Boreale is designed to give Lionel maximum view in a 180 degree angle from the view cameras on the head itself or the chest area. Further screens around the control levers show troop and enemy position via IFF detection and radar. The strangeness that will throw most off is the extra controls on the levers to allow him to deploy the Boreale Shield when in use.
241Cooling Systems - Due to it's make as more of a power and impressive shock and awe type of unit, the Chasma Boreale is fitted with extra cooling systems to handle the work load of it's all around impresive load out.
242Life Support - Life support is included for space as well as heating in colder environments to make sure no one freezes. Not to mention protection against such environments. It has a limited supply of ready oxygen, however, and won't last over 24 hours at the most with one person.
243
244Defenses
245Regular Armor - The regular armor, much like the original Aldnoah unit and the Baqto used to repair it is incredibly tough. It can take a beating and keep on ticking quite literally. Not to mention it is made for the cold environments of space as well as the colder polar caps of Mars and Gaia itself.
246Electromagnetic Armor - Like the Baqto, the Chasma Boreale has electromagnetic armor that it can use to defend itself in a pin point or wide dispersal style to deflect laser based attacks easier.
247Boreale Shield - This massive shield is normally folded up and counts for at least 20 tons of weight. The original tower shield form was split apart into separate pieces. When it was reforged, it was mounted on shoulder swivels to make it easier for Lionel to swing it into position quickly. If disengaged and the two pieces are carried by hand, he can fuse the shield temporarily back into it's tower shield form to act as a literal wall against attacks through channelling the electromagnetic barrier to it.
248Chaff Dispensers - A means of quickly getting away from a fight is this smoke deploying chaff system.
249
250Offenses
251Boreale Shield - Originally an oval tower shield by design, the Boreale Shield being broken allowed some interesting reforging designs. One of such was that the two halves of it can act as massive single edged swords. They can even be placed together into one massive two handed sword as big as the Chasma Boreale itself.
252Module Claw Bracer - The left bracer of the Chasma Boreale is meant to envison the entrapping darkness of a chasm and put opponents to a true test. It features two modes. Short range and melee. In short range mode it generates a freezing ray meant to hyper-cool enemy machines into warped and ruptured parts. In melee mode it acts as a large claw to grapple a target and then spray it with the freezing ray and a rapid cooling chemical spray that achieves the same faster.
253Cold Plasma Launcher w/ Bayonet Bracer - The right side bracer is designed more as a heavy weapon than it's partner. Generating an opposite to regular plasma, the cold plasma is designed to create on contact frost areas in a focused explosion. Proper use can see ice forming in large chunks as needed. The bayonet like attachments channel this energy whenever it is forced into melee use for a sharper cutting power.
254Seeker Missiles - Mounted under the shoulders in retractable launchers are missiles meant to seek out heat sources. Particularly effective whenever one has the freezing based attacks that leave power plants, pilots, and other sources of heat readily apparent.
255Cryo Beam Emitter - Much like the baqto that was used to salvage the Boreale itself, the powerful beam emitter is still present if different in function. Instead of super heating, the cold plasma technology is used again to generate the beam spikes and beam itself.
256Cryo Nova - A usage of all of Chasma Boreale's systems, this is literally the epitome of what the current unit is capable of. The electromagnetic armor channelled around the hands is used to capture the cryo beam emitter, while the blades on the bracers serve as a means to point the overgrown ball of cryogenic energy as well as add more to it and actually throw it. The usual result of this is usually a frozen iceberg or supremely brittle armor on units hit by it. Some have been known to even rupture power plants and explode from being flash frozen so quickly.

262Do you have any future plans for your character, or anything else you want staff to know? Put it here.
263
2649b. Blind Bag
265Please, in bulleted form, detail (again) for us everything you are Blind Bagging. Not noting it here may mean we miss it!
266
267- Assets, Resources specifically.
268- History
269
2709c. Blind Bag Addtl.
271In the case of a Blind Bag, please explain for us: Mecha (any preferences in mecha or if you Truly Don't Care/are asking for a blind roll), or History (any desired or envisioned history beats, any things that are 'hard no' to have happen to you). Please understand that these are nonbinding, but help the process!
272
273So, here's the thing. I ran into a hard wall there. I like a bit of random chance as well. I'm taking one here. In the character's history he sold and took a big gamble on selling and getting resources en mass. Parts, tech knowledge, etc. This is also to keep me from overstepping bounds and because I would feel more comfortable as a player in getting input from Staff as far as this aspect of the character/history/etc.
274
275What I am hoping to do here is generate roleplay opportunities between myself and the Earth Militia or others. Further, I want to see something come out of this. Versian tech is supposed to be more advanced, and I want to see it be a reality here.
276
277The way I am hoping to accomplish this is by having the knowledge, but lacking the raw resources to generate it or needing a tech head's help to get this going. The only 'hard no' in this case if this is fine is going so far as to have Cyberdriver tech, high end Fraternity stuff, or Aldnoah tech. Cyberdriver tech is, of course, rare as freaking hell. I doubt Lionel would risk his plans for that. Same with Fraternity tech bases. Aldnoah tech speaks for itself, especially as it means a possible fix to his unit which I (the player) do not want.
278
279I'm aware that asking for a custom cool unit from the start is probably putting a lot on your plates already, but I hope this is something cool, interesting, and fun for all involved. I'm also not aiming this at myself either. I want to see others come out of this having fun, going "I want <blank>, what do I have to do?" on other's end of things.
280
281Oh, this also ties into the History as well. I did after all write into things where his siblings were killed. Said killers still out there, after all, so I leave it entirely open as to who those killers are. This also leaves you guys pretty much able to screw with any Corporation ties, Clan ties, etc. that you might have plots or otherwise want to just toss my character at for fun. The only hard no here would be the Emperor himself doing it.
