[big]Passenger Travel & Space Traffic Control Summary[/big]

The life force of the Milky Way and a colossal achievement of necessary bureaucracy and controlled chaos. Each and every single day, billions of people take flight across the galaxy through not just the system of mass relays, but the highly regulated and overseen transportation network of the Milky Way, an almost incomprehensibly large system that ferries passengers not just from one planet to the next, but from one side of the galaxy to another also. In any given year, around half of the galaxy's population will have flown at least once, quickly taking the number of flyers past the hundred billion mark annually.

It paints an impressive picture, but one that begs the question of how such a complex and massive system is run. Not by any single organization, an answer could quickly be given. But rather by an entire network of its own full of various organizations within both the Citadel and the sovereign governments that make up its Alliance. Each of these several major aerospace agencies being given the responsibility of ensuring that their portion of the network within their own nation's territory remains as in-sync and controlled as the rest of the galaxy. The system is needless to say a very fragile one that requires the most precise of timing otherwise it all falls apart.

However much like a democratic government in a way, a series of balances and checks are in place in the form of these multiple organizations and the nations that they belong to in-order to ensure that even if one or more portions of the network collapse into disarray, that the entire system will not fall alongside them. For example, during times of war, travel warnings and in some cases even bans will be put into place in known areas of conflict as to avoid putting both spacecraft and their passengers in danger, and when these wars break out without warning and quick action is required. Quick action is taken, and this system of balances and checks comes into play as millions of spacecraft are rerouted to an equal number of spaceports across the galaxy, and to make room for these rerouted spacecraft, other craft are required to taxi into storage or to even fly to another spaceport and the cycle continues and continues until all rerouted spacecraft have been accounted for. The most recent and extreme examples of this being the Alliance Civil War and the Reaper War, the latter in which spacelines were often ordered by the governments of which their headquarters were based in to assist in the evacuation of civilians.

So despite an immense number of dangers that the galaxy can throw at this system, it has consistantly maintained a policy of safety being the number one priority for hundreds of years. With precautions even against pirates being in place via the use of randomized routes despite the entirety of the spaceliner industry only operating within Citadel space. However with the comparatively recent but big arrival of Humanity onto the galactic stage. A more Earth-inspired model of space traffic control has been adopted by the Citadel and coincidentally the sovereign governments of the galaxy also. Though the argument could be made that the only major change with Humanity's arrival to this system has been the adoption of Earth-inspired abbreviations for both spacecraft and the spaceports that they arrive and depart from. However this argument would be made in vain as the changes extend to more than just simple letters.

[big]Spaceflight Experience & History Summary[/big]

To fully understand the difference, one must know what the situation was like prior to Humanity's appearance to the rest of the galaxy. Spaceports, and in-general space travel had always been seen as a strictly utilitarian venture, focus was always put towards maximizing the efficency of the network or the spacecraft within it rather than the comfort of those who used it. Think tanks only ever were concerned with how to make the system faster, how to make it so that spaceports could take in more passengers, how they could fit more spacecraft. Or how spacecraft themselves could cram in more passengers, or how the craft could travel the galaxy faster, cutting down flight times and saving credits on fuel consumption.

With the sole exception having always been the wealthy and the elite of society, space flight for the sake of space flight, IE going on vacation or visiting family on the other side of the galaxy had never been a comfortable or enjoyable venture. It had always been more of a 'better get this over with' venture than one that anyone looked forward to. It was always a means to an end, and not an actual experience itself--not ever part of the holiday.

Again, that was until Humanity had arrived.

And with them, everything had changed for the better.

More specifically, Humanity's arrival has rapidly commercialized the galaxy's space traffic control network. With Humanity came their money-making schemes that would make even a Volus go green with envy. Duty-Free stores now line the departure gates of spaceports across the Milky Way, restaurants, coffee shops, book stores, vending machines, electronics stores and even cinemas too now fill the sides of once empty spaceport corridors. Fortunately for Humanity's reputation their influence doesn't solely extend to capitalist gimmicks, more beautiful expressions of a planet's culture now litter the designs of spaceports. Giving travellers both an immediate taste of the planet they have landed on upon arrival and one last glimpse at the unique qualities of the planet they're leaving as they depart.

The changes don't end at the spaceports themselves, the spacecraft too have gotten far more comfortable, far more enjoyable and the sometimes painfully long travel times far more bareable. As Human corporations were far more interested in providing their customers with not just an efficient service, but one that they could tell their friends that they enjoyed, leading to the immediate one hit knock out of most corporations belonging to other races as they failed to provide these services. Unlike their Human counterparts, they did not have in-flight movies, nor did they even have the ability to watch what one wanted on a screen mounted to the back of the seat in-front of them. In-fact with exception to the Asari, even the food and refreshments offered were largely bland and uninteresting, even by comparison to the Earth-joke of airplane peanuts. As such, the entire layout of what services provided on a space flight were changed in-order for other corporations to compete with their new Human competitors, and consequently the quality of comfort on space flights increased tenfold in a relatively short span of time.

[big]The Economic Side[/big]

As was mentioned earlier, passenger spaceflight is very much a Human-dominated market. Out of the top ten highest rated spacelines, 6 are Human, 3 are Asari and 1 is Salarian with Turians falling behind incredibly so in this regard, as out of the top one hundred highest rated spacelines, only four of them are Turian and are mostly near the bottom, however when it comes to cost efficency and time, Turian spacelines rank near the highest alongside some major Salarian brands. Though in recent years, Asari competitors have been attempting to take back pieces of the market that had been ripped out from under them by their Human counterparts decades ago, this level of competition being largely beneficial to the customers however as the major spacelines continue to both increase the quality of their flights, decrease the amount of time a flight takes all while attempting to keep their tickets priced lower than their rivals. As of 2211, the 'Spaceliner Industry' is worth trillions of credits, only having recently gotten back on track after the Reaper War's end, during which its value nosedived into worthlessness.

With price in mind, the question has surely been asked of how much your average ticket would cost. As one could expect, the answer varies wildly, and the use of that word is not an overexaggeration though the price of most tickets has been on the decline for a number of years regardless and is exceedingly cheap and easily accessable to most people across the Milky Way, the main determining factor of how many credits a ticket will cost is the distance that would be travelled. A chart below will give listings of the kinds of tickets that are standardized throughout all spacelines across the galaxy as a result of the Council Aerospace Agency to give a better perspective on comparisons and what one can expect when travelling the galaxy using spacelines.

Domestic Ticket[c]Localized flights from one region of a planet to a neighboring one and small, inexpensive shuttles are often used for this by major spacelines or small, entirely regional airlines.[c]95cR per ticket.[c]Planetary Ticket[c]A larger variation of localized flying, this time qualifying as flights that span entire continents of a planet. Slightly larger but still comparatively small and basic shuttles used for these flights.[c]135cR per ticket.[c]System Ticket[c]For flights that span entire solar systems, typically from one planet to another or to space stations and inhabited asteroids or moons. Smaller versions of fully fledged spaceliners are the craft of choice for these slightly more advanced flights.[c]205cR per ticket.[c]Intersystem Ticket[c]As the name implies, these tickets are for flights that take leaps across systems, sometimes from one to a neighboring one or even across an entire cluster. Large, fully fledged spaceliners are employed here.[c]Varies between 235cR & 280cR per ticket.[c]Inter-Relay Ticket[c]When your travels take you between Mass Relays, these tickets are the option given. Once more, fully fledged spaceliners are used here with all of the comforts described in previous paragraphs.[c]Varies between 290cR and 325cR per ticket.

Traditionally spaceliners would simply be one large collection of seats for passengers to sit in, the cost would be the same and treatment would be equal to all passengers with no way to pay one's way up into a higher class and therefore quality of treatment. Which was one of the reasons why the wealthy would often just use their own craft. But as Humanity appeared and with them a dawn of new commercialism in the market, spacelines across the galaxy adopted--like many other uniquely Human ideas surrounding the concept of commercial flying, the idea of a class-based system for flights. With the majority of spacelines now hosting a First Class, Business Class and Economy Class on their flights. Although some spacelines give these classes different names such as Club Class instead of Business Class or Second Class instead of Economy Class, the concept remains the same. Pay more for seats that are more comfortable, pay more for a better quality of food and drink, pay more for a larger percentage of the hostess' attention, one gets the point. Pay more for a better experience aboard the flight, a simple concept that has allowed spacelines to bring in more profits, allowing them to invest more in other fields, some spacelines choosing to cut down travel times, others investing in travel lounges in spaceports and some cutting the cost of their lower class tickets to attract more passengers.

When it comes to options of travelling across space, whether it be on a planetary or a cross-galaxy level. The majority of the Milky Way's population use spaceliners due to their cheapness and reliability when compared to the other option of buying one's own ship, which is both expensive and not as reliable due to one having to oversee the ship's upkeep themselves. And the other option of Space Cruisers, which are often like comparing apples and oranges due to the entirely different natures of both methods of travel.

Luna Inter-Relay Spaceport (LUN), 2210

It was once somewhat controversially said that a colony is never really a true colony unless it has a spaceport, although it was later more politely defined by the Human Councilor Lucas Whitehall, "The success of the galactic economy is built around the trade and commerce of planets and systems. We owe a great deal of the success of the galactic economy to the brave crews of many ships that transport the goods and passengers of the galaxy. And along with them, the countless more people who support them at the spaceports scattered across the mass relay network. Civilization as we know it would not be there without them." One of course might wonder why a colony would have no spaceport to begin with, and technically every colony--even the youngest ones do have 'spaceports' of their own though not by the CAA's standards, which define a spaceport as "A large complex of hangar bays, staff facilities, passenger accomedations, leisure facilities, maintenance facilities and tarmac that expand to or over the orbital equivalent or planetary amount of six million square feet worth of land." With this definition in mind, spaceports as one can expect are incredibly large, even the smallest ones are essentially small cities, capable of taking hundreds of thousands of passengers a day with the largest spaceports in the galaxy capable of taking tens of millions of passengers a day. Though these 'Mega-Spaceports' are often one-of-a-kinds in the orbits of their homeworlds and are typically the center of entry and departure for entire planets and even entire systems. However capitals such as Earth (Now Demeter), Thessia, Palaven, Sur'Kesh (before the war) and the Citadel are known to have two, and often have four or more so-called 'Mega-Spaceports' all-together, two purely for passenger travel and two for the importing and exporting of hundreds of billions of tonnes of cargo annually.

So, with tens of thousands of Spaceports which fit the CAA's definition and even more which do not, a important question comes to mind. How are they all identified? The answer being another Human invention adopted by the Citadel and the first idea that was mentioned in this summary. The use of abbreviations, for example as shown above, Luna's Inter-Relay Spaceport would be identified as LUN to pilots. These codes often using the first three letters of the planet's, region's or city's name of which the spaceport is located or in the event that a single region or city has multiple spaceports within it, the first three letters of the name of the spaceport itself. However many spaceports use a random collection of letters either within their place name or the name of the spaceport, so Mars Inter-Relay Spaceport could be MAR or it could be MRS, or MAS. This variation of methods to use, and the number of sources from which an abbreviation can be taken allow for tens of thousands of abbreviation variations so that a pilot will never come across a spaceport with the same identifier abbreviation twice. Of course in the unlikely event that two spaceports will be forced to share the same abbreviation, one will add the number 1 to the end of it, and the other will use the number 2, in the order of which spaceport was created first.

As described before, many prominent--and many even not so prominent spaceports have essentially turned into cities of their own. Becoming entire centers of commerce and tourism on their lonesome as not only are spaceports massive in the sense that they cover a large width and breadth of ground, but they are also massive as in their vertical size. In the above image of LUN as a prime example, LUN is home to a permanent population of 50,000 people, and in a single day has ten times as many passengers coming in and out of it. It is a massive domed metropolis, with towering skyscrapers going up to heights in the low hundreds of meters, many of the complexes even burrowing underground. And though LUN is just one example, there are many more hundreds of these examples spread out across the Milky Way, popping up as huge cities much like the reason that the first ancient cities on Earth popped up around sources of water. Spaceports are incredibly beneficial to a local community in terms of finances, as such when these ports are built out of the way of cities, it is usually the case that a city builds itself around a spaceport, reaping the economic benefits soon afterwards as a result. Of course these benefits can be spread across a much larger area depending on the size of the spaceport and the area it serves, with the smallest spaceports only serving their planet, others their home system, some serving their system and their neighboring system, some serving their entire cluster of systems and the largest serving the entire galaxy, with the benefits of one of these 'Mega-Spaceports' being felt across an entire planet even though these Mega-Spaceports are only found in orbit of their planets as a hub for both domestic, system and inter-system space travel.

As for spacelines, this is the blanket title given to any company that provides space transport services for both passengers and freight, though for this segment only passenger-based spacelines will be mentioned, a much-required change of name from the old Earth word 'airlines', many of these larger spacelines will host entire fleets of spaceliner craft, with their numbers often reaching into the hundreds of thousands and being spread across many hundreds of colonies all throughout the galaxy as is usually required simply due to the economics of the market's massive supply and demand. With the supply always playing a game of catch-up with the demand due to the vast amount of customers and potential customers that the Milky Way holds. Like mentioned numerous times prior to now, Human companies are very dominant in this market as they in a sense pioneered galactic spacelining as the other races knew it. With the majority of the most prominent Human spacelines having originated on Earth, and expanded their operations into space once that became the norm and then into the wider galaxy as a whole once Humanity joined the Citadel.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of different spacelines companies across the Milky Way. All with varying spheres of which they operate within, the largest spacelines operating all across the galaxy whilst the smallest spacelines will only operate within a single system, and then even below that there are still remaining airlines that only operate on singular planets. Other spacelines may be specific to a single cluster of systems and similarly only operate within spaceports that also only serve that specific cluster. Though every spaceline, no matter how big or how small retains many different hubs of operations, with each spaceline having a home hub and that hub is often based near where the spaceline started. An Asari galactic-wide spaceline will most likely have its home hub on a spaceport on Thessia and its secondary hub on Nevos. A Human spaceline may have its home hub on Earth and its secondary hub on Demeter. Hubs are essentially just where the spacelines persistantly hold a large number of spaceliners and administrative staff.

A UCN Cargo Port, Orbit of Lexington, 2211

If the people of the galaxy are the life force of the Milky Way, then their cargo would be the fuel that keeps the burning light of both the people and their civilization from extinguishing. Using an entire different system from the Space Traffic Control network which their passenger counterparts use, the economy of the entire galaxy rides upon the powerful back of Galactic Customs Network, which although very--if not entirely similar to the STC serves as a distinctly seperate network due to the massive logistical demands of both of said networks. Although both networks and the various national government organizations that are in-charge of maintaining their integrity within their own territories are overseen by the same overarching institution, the Citadel Aerospace Agency which could be argued to be one of the largest institutions run by the Citadel simply due to the size of the task that it must grapple with each and every day.

And to give one a scope of the immensity of said task, each year hundreds of trillions of tonnes of cargo are transported across the galaxy. Being taken to and from hundreds of thousands of ports, from the smallest colonies to the largest homeworlds to even the Citadel. Without the existence of this highly efficient and neverending network, galactic civilization would not be able to exist. However unlike passenger transportation, cargo transportation often faces many more risks in their travels--from the likes of pirates and other organized criminal groups looking to make a quick few credits by either stealing the cargo itself or by ransoming the ship and its crew. And though this is not too big of an issue in Citadel space as a result of the fierce efforts of Navies across this portion of the galaxy from every nation, the Attican Traverse and especially the Terminus Systems are rife with this kind of piracy.

As such it should come to the surprise of no one that most corporations who either operate the container ships or have any significant amount of their own cargo aboard one invest tens of millions of credits into both state-of-the-art weapons systems and Private Military Corporations to guard their ships. With the largest and therefore most valuable of these container ships sometimes having entire small fleets of mercenaries escorting them across the Traverse and Terminus and though highly effective as both a deterrant and an actual means of defending one's cargo, its not unheard of for firefights to take place on the decks of these ships between would-be pirates and hired mercenaries or even for miniturized space battles between pirate vessels and those of PMC's or depending on the armament of the container ship, even the ship itself. Its to be expected in this case that most private military groups that operate within these regions put a great amount of attention in perfecting their ship defense tactics and equipment in-order to make themselves more appealing to potential clients given it being arguably the most lucrative market for mercenaries in both the Traverse and the Terminus.

Unlike passenger spacecraft however, container ships are usually not rerouted in the event of an ordinary war, and by ordinary war it is meant that any war that was not the Reaper War. This being largely due to the fact that if a container ship is heading into an active warzone that it will usually be supplying civilians within the zone and that these ships are protected by the Citadel Conventions although it is common practice for ships of the opposing side of the conflict to search these ships for possible weaponry or other supplies that could give their enemies a military advantage.

Alongside the military searching for potential enemy advantages on ships in times of war. There are numerous civilian agencies across the galaxy that serve their respective governments in the job of Galactic Customs, essentially controlling the importing and exporting of goods from their nation's territories and also maintaining the security of their territory through large-scale scanning of all containers that come through their ports via the use of large machines that incorporate technologies similar to those used for the surveying of resources on planets. These scanners are depending on how large either very reliable or not so reliable and there is no standardized scanner available for use as it is for everyone--besides the Turian Hierarchy which does maintain a strict standard on the scanners their ports use--a private market in which high-profile tech and even shipping companies compete to acquire contracts with various ports across the galaxy to have their scanners bought. These scanners' jobs regularly being to scan for any suspicious materials or chemical traces within containers that would allude to illegal cargo being held in them.

Port of Constitution Space Elevator, 2211

A feat of civilization on their own, spaceports designed purely for cargo and their space elevators are very similar to the scale of the network that they serve in the sense that they are almost incomprehensibly large, out of necessity instead of desire to build big. Yet even given the scale of these elevators and ports, most large colonies typically have multiple, with homeworlds being known to host more than ten. Collectively, galaxy-wide these elevators bring down and lift up tens of trillions of tonnes worth of cargo each year and their size certainly shows that they were intended to do so. Often being the size of towns just in width and breadth, not including their height, which as one can imagine towers high enough to exit the atmosphere as to connect to the port for which they serve. Which is positioned high in the planet's orbit. But why would the port be stationed in orbit? Wouldn't it save billions of credits on not having to build these space elevators in the first place? Well it would, but the simple fact of the matter is that--much like dreadnoughts of the galaxy's Navies, most container ships are simply too large to land on a planet due to the lack of thrusting power necessary to keep such large ships in a planet's atmosphere, so overall it is in the long run much cheaper and cost efficent.

The process of cargo being imported and exported off-world follows a generic pattern of a container ship pulling up alongside one of the in-orbit spaceport's many, many docks where a crane will then retrieve large collections of containers all at the same time, sometimes a hundred or more in one pick-up where the crane will then place the containers onto a large flat automated platform which delivers them to the space elevator, which then takes them quickly down to the planet's surface where they are put into storage and retrieved by either shuttles or vehicles belonging to the company that owns the cargo and delivered to where ever they are required. With the process of exporting goods going the opposite. Customs Enforcement usually goes through the process of scanning containers for contraband or otherwise illegal cargo when the containers are sitting in storage either on the planet's surface or on the spaceport in orbit. With both locations hosting their own Customs Enforcement offices from where port security operations are coordinated. Ports in the Attican Traverse and the Terminus however--similarly to ships that travel through these regions often instead hire mercenary groups to conduct the same duties as Customs Enforcement would in Citadel Space, though their duties more often reflect the dangerous nature of these regions, with their primary tasks being to ensure that no containers are stolen.

Developed as the the still then relatively newborn Cascade State Shipyards' first major project, with a substantial financial loan from both the Concordian Colonial Government and the greater Systems Alliance government. The original Stellar-class model was the vessel that propelled the fledgling group of small docks to the 2nd largest shipyards in Human space. Though there have been many upgrades and variants of the Stellar-class, the original is still the most widely used container-only vessel across the galaxy and it is with that astounding popularity that its manufacturer CSS has in recent decades since its initial release been forced to buy stakes in other shipyards the galaxy-wide just to meet the high level of demand for the vessel. With the vessel now being produced in 400 seperate locations across the Milky Way, all the while still being owned and built by the same corporation that developed them all those years ago, a requirement that the original founder of the corporation even wrote into his will on his death-bed it was that important to both him and the company that he built from the ground up. Although its highly doubtful that even without this that the company would ever sell the manufacturing rights of the vessel that built them to any other corporation or shipyard.

At nearly three thousand meters long, the Stellar-class is one of the largest Human-made vessels and vessels overall to have ever travelled the current galaxy as we know it. Its immense size allowing it to carry a large number of containers at any one time. This undoubtedly being the primary reason for its popularity among shipping companies the world over, who have as described before bought this vessel in droves. Coated in a thick layer of ablative armor, not unlike the armor that covers some of the fiercest dreadnoughts in the galaxy, and covered by a protective bubble of kinetic shielding, even if god-forbid, any one of these vessels were to lose their weaponry and were attacked. They could withhold long enough to escape any would-be pirates or other hostile forces. Although this is rarely a problem due to corporate tendencies to hire large numbers of mercenaries to defend these vessels whilst in-transit. As shown in the representative images above, CSS does maintain an Extranet store for any interested parties wanting to equip their Stellar-class vessels to carry more containers. With the ability to buy an upgrade to their original (top image) class to fit in additional 'Container Collection Sections' (below image) increasing the overall cargo space of the vessel considerably.

Name:[c]Description:[c]Length:[c]Year Introduced:[c]Cascade 480[c]The first model branched off from the original Cascade 270, the 480 was designed as a far smaller, more cost efficient shuttle for the sole purpose of usage in domestic and planetary flights. It can carry 470 passengers.[c]76m[c]2175[c]Cascade 270[c]The original model, the 270 was originally intended to solely serve system-wide travel and its design reflects as such, being rather medium in all areas. It can carry 600 passengers comfortably and serves system flights.[c]130m[c]2173[c]Cascade 620[c]The first enlargement of the original, the 620 was introduced to the fleet due to a rising demand for the model for cross-cluster flights. It can carry 900 passengers comfortably and serves intersystem flights.[c]200m[c]2178[c]Cascade 760[c]Designed for pan-galactic travelling due to the line's popularity across the Milky Way. The 760 is much larger than its predecessors and can comfortably carry 1,620 passengers with breathing space and serves inter-relay flights.[c]400m[c]2183

Intended as a strategic way of muscling into the rapidly changing and revolutionizing galactic passenger spaceflight industry thanks to Human influence on the market, the Cascade-line of spaceliners, which as of 2211 now hold the majority of the market share when it comes to passenger spaceliners were designed as a means of beating far larger competitors in the race to dominate this market and therefore having immense room to grow their corporation. Which was in this period experiencing a massive boom due to the creation of their cargo container ships, the Stellar-class. Originally shown off to solely Human corporations at the Center for Aviation Global Conference of 2174, less than a year after the first model of the Cascade-line had been released to initially little success. With the company's CEO himself there to show off the new spaceliner, which little did he know at the time would revolutionize passenger spaceflight as companies aren't often privy to the designs of others. As such he had little idea just how much of an advantage his liner had when compared to the other proposals that had been shown at the Conference.

Not long after, CSS recieved offers from North American Airlines, British Spaceways and Lufthansa among many others to purchase the 270 for system flights, and it was then that the true potential of the line was realized, as the company's R&D department grew tenfold overnight and quickly got to work on developing new models capable of not just system-wide flights, but of domestic, inter-system and even inter-relay ones as well. All of which would serve a particular function, be suited for that function and be bought en-masse by spacelines and starlines desiring to exploit that function. And unlike their Stellar-class container ships, which were gargantuan vessels that were very difficult and expensive to manufacture, the Cascade-line spaceliners were far smaller and easier to produce, allowing CSS to produce the liners at their home shipyards in the Concord system. It wasn't until the start of the 2180s, more or less ten years after the initial release of the 270 that companies across the galaxy and from other races became interested in the Cascade-line, as Human spacelines began rapidly eating up the market share all whilst having the Cascade-class in their inventories with the first foreign corporate interest being Kachila Starways, an Asari starline which had been knocked off of its number one spot in the passenger spaceflight market by North American Airlines and was attempting to regain that spot.

And once the most prestigious non-Human spaceline in the galaxy had taken the 270, 480, 620 and just off the production line 760, all the other spacelines in the galaxy came to CSS like flies to a corpse. Except this corpse was no corpse at all but a perfectly fit and growing young man who was seemingly ready to take on the galaxy now. Needless to say both CSS and the Cascade-line have since found their niche.
Description:
The M608 Bulldozer is a heavily armored double-barrelled tank developed by Thorn Transport Dynamics Land Systems Division that was like the majority of Concordian military equipment commissioned by the Concord Defense Force (now: United Concordian Armed Forces) immediately after the end of the Reaper War and at the beginning of the immense shift in Concordian politics that was the fallout of that. The prototype version of the tank, the XM607 had been proposed initially as a single-barrelled tank, however when it was noted that more firepower was needed for this tank, TTDLSD wasted little time in obeying that instruction, adding a second barrel onto the tank and literally doubling its firepower in one go. Once this change was made, needless to say the XM607 was granted the contract and proceeded onto the next stage of development, which was the refining of all of the prototype's systems and the additions of new ones to go along in the final product.

Now in service with both the Army and the Marine Corps across a variety of environments. The Bulldozer is the backbone of Concordian ground firepower alongside artillery, being able to engage large numbers of hostile infantry and vehicles with ease and smash through most enemy armor with little difficulty. The M608, much like its cousin equipment elsewhere in the military serves as a lean, mean fighting machine and a prime example of the Concordian 'quality over quantity' doctrine. Having been used extensively by Concordian 'volunteer units' during the Systems Alliance Civil War throughout a large array of different environments with consistant success against enemy armor and even enemy air with its high caliber automated machine gun turrets en-tow. Truly the Bulldozer is a marvel of firepower, speed and overall craftsmanship, being one of the sparkling beauties for both the Army and the Marines to be proud of. Currently the Marine Corps have ordered an M608A1 to be in development, though what additions it will have are unknown.

From our earliest ancestors in Africa spreading across our dearest planet Earth to the Europeans crossing the Atlantic for the first time in search of new lands to Neil Armstrong landing on the Moon. It is our nature as Humans to strive for better, to explore, to achieve. And as our people reached the stars, discovered the Mass Relays, it was then that we realized that not only were we not alone in the universe, but that our traits were not uncommon. From the Asari to the Turians, all people of the Milky Way share this common goal to improve on what has already been accomplished. And it was in the spirit of this common goal that Jack Kennedy founded Burger Town which now currently serving more than 10 billion people per day all across this great galaxy of ours. Burger Town is honored to carry the legacy of our ancestors in the fast-food industry on Earth into the modern age, and to provide the good people of the Milky Way with satisfying, affordable meals 24 hours a day, 7 days a weak."

History:
Founded in 2179 by the Virginia Corporation, Burger Town was born out of what the CEO Jack Kennedy saw as a necessity with the immense success and evergrowing popularity of their drink OverCharge. His belief being that he did not want his most successful product relying on the "kindness of strangers" to be distributed to the population en-masse and that a large-scale fast food chain was something that the Milky Way in his eyes was sorely lacking, of course with the allure of increased profits being a consistent background theme to his decision to found the establishment which was originally meant solely as a way of distributing OverCharge. Though which opened its first chain in Arcadia City, Everest in 2179, and like its cousin in the drinks department, spread like wildfire from there on out. Primarily through Human space throughout the 2180s, reaching Earth in 2181 and the first chain opening on Humanity's furthest colony in 2188.

However it wasn't until the first Burger Town opened on the Citadel on New Years 2189 that the franchise was truly made known and mainstream to the rest of the galaxy. With the Salarians being the first to adopt the chain into their own territory due to the hyper-productivity and speed of Salarian society. And the concept of fast food proving incredibly popular already with Salarians who had been to Alliance space due to how easy of an option it was, the food was prepared in under a minute, it was cheap and very filling. All of which furthered its success in the Salarian Union.

It was for reasons similiar to this that the Turians were the next in line to begin accepting the chains, though many of the franchise's first openings in the Hierarchy were hindered by protests from traditionalists who were either unapproving of the idea of 'fatty foods' being inserted into their society or just foreign foods in-general, however though the discontent continues among certain elements of Turian society to this day. Burger Town maintains a large presence across Turian space for many of the same reasons as the Salarians, the speed, affordability and accessability of it was all too appealing to a highly productive and work-focused Turian society.

Around the same time as the acceptance of the chain into Turian space, nearing the end of the 2190s, the Asari Republics saw its first Burger Towns. Which were greatly appealing to the Asari people not so much as commercial products like the Salarians, Humans and Turians but more as exotic alien items of interest, for the Asari stepping into one of these restaurants was similar to stepping into Human space for the first time, the good food was merely an added bonus and though over the years the restaurant has lost some of its exotic appeal to the Asari, it has maintained a large consumer base for reasons similar to the Salarians and Turians but more so for the appeal of the food unlike those previous two, so the Asari in that regard are more similar to their Human counterparts.

At the turn of the century, and the start of the Reaper War. Burger Town had begun to expand into Vorus, Amun, Krogan, Batarian and even Quarian space largely due to the fact that it was one of the first major chains of its kind to cater specifically to the needs of each race it served to maximize their eating experience. As mentioned before though, the Reaper War had begun around this time, and as such Burger Towns in cities across the galaxy found themselves being looted for their food and drink and becoming host to firefights between on-site CAT6 personnel defending the restaurants and would-be looters, and Burger Towns in rural areas found themselves quickly becoming mini-refugee centers due to the presence of trained CAT6 soldiers that the Virginia Corporation had hired to defend their assets and abundant amounts of easy to prepare food. By the end of the War, Burger Town as a franchise was faring better than the drink it had been created to distribute ironically as people still needed to eat. And Burger Town was always ready to serve. Which it does to this day, having rebuilt itself from the destruction of the Reapers.

Though in an unfortunate turn of events and due to a decision seperated from the Food Division, Burger Town was also wrapped up in the War Controversy of 2205, with its establishments often now being seen dotting both Attican and Alliance military installations.

In recent years, Burger Town has significantly decreased its prices as its popularity grows. Mr. Kennedy knowing that the growing consumer base will balance the costs of running the franchise along with a steady flow of profit despite the wishes of his board of directors being to keep prices the same--or even to increase them, which would usually end up in the one who posed the suggestion being thrown out of the office. No. Burger Town was built on affordability and beating their competitors in price, and so Mr. Kennedy is determined to maintain that reputation and business model. And like the drink it promotes, Burger Town too has followed civilization into Andromeda with a single store to be opened aboard the Nexus once all colonists have been woken up and the situation has stabilized.

The current layout of your average Burger Town restaurant consists of seated areas for eating, a drive-thru for both wheeled vehicles and Aircars/shuttles depending on the location for each, along with child play areas and a fully fledged arcade stacked with every kind of arcade game that one could imagine including Virtual Reality laser tag with the largest Burger Town restaurants in high profile areas and big cities even maintaining full bowling alleys and go kart race tracks.

The majority of CIA soldiers are well-trained in most forms of combat, the reason for this is still unknown though presumably due to former CDF or Concordians once in the Alliance military in their ranks and their leader being ex-Alliance special forces.

Biography:
Founded not long after the start of the civil war, the Concord Independence Army was formed by Louis Karillian. A native Everestian-Concordian and ex-Alliance special forces. The movement had originally started off as the Concord Independence Movement, a political party which was determined to force the government into a referendum on seceeding from the Systems Alliance, however after an attempt on the life of Louis Karillian's romantic partner, the CIM changed into the CIA, the movement grew rapidly within the first month of its re-formation, quickly reaching a membership in the thousands. Many of these new members being disgruntled law enforcement and military who didn't approve of Concord being under the Alliance and wanted an independent planet. Finding eager recruits was not hard in the slightest given the majority of the population holding strong nationalistic tendencies towards the Concord system rather than the Alliance as a whole.

In a series of behind the scenes deals and negoiations, the CIA rallied the support of numerous large corporations across Concord. Their owners and employees often being as loyal to the system as the CIA themselves were, gaining access to their resources and finances in the process, Arcadia Armories and Thorn Transport Dynamics being but two of many. Arming the growing independence movement for the inevitable conflict with the Alliance and their loyalists. Though the Colonial Government was well aware of the CIA's growing influence and power, they chose to do nothing about it, most likely due to their own dislike of the Alliance. Allowing the CIA to flourish uncontrolled. Though the majority of its story when it comes to it's quick rise in influence and power remains hidden away and clouded in a great amount of uncertainty and secrecy for obvious reasons.

Biography:
Founded by Leonard Mitch, a wealthy businessman from Earth. Cascade State Shipyards had a less humble beginning than most other large corporations on Everest, Mr. Mitch had already been incredibly wealthy and had been looking to expand his business interests, having come from a long line of successful businessmen before him he had large ambitions. Seeing the amount of potential that was open for grabs on Everest, a developing colony in what is now inner Alliance space. He quickly set up his base of operations on the planet, setting up originally in Thorn Plateau but moving to the small port town of Allen a few years into it. At first CSS had only built small watercraft like private yachts and speedboats, however as the decades went by they expanded into fields such as luxury cruiseliners and soon began producing craft for space usage as well.

During the Reaper War, CSS had evacuated its staff to a secure location due to the resouces they had at their disposal. Though Leonard Mitch had died a few years prior to the invasion, Bradley Texx the new CEO insisted on using their automated shipyards in Astoria, which had been left unaffected by the Reapers to build shuttles for evacuees. This had been relatively successful and he had managed to get hundreds of people off-world as a result of his decision, post-War he was awarded the Everest Medallion Class 3 for his decision. Now, Cascade State Shipyards has recently accepted a defense contract from the Everest Defense Force for an unknown project and they are a well known name across the Galaxy, putting Everest on the map for many far off planets.

Biography:
Founded by David Bringham in 2176, as Everest was still a developing colony. Arcadia Armories was opened originally as a small-time practical outdoor store in Everest's second settlement, only known as Arcadia at the time as it could hardly be called a city back then. The corporation's original name had been Arcadia Outdoors and it had been home to the selling of utilities like hiking equipment, mountain bikes, sports gear and survival gear such as rations, maps, bottled water and the sort. This had been a very fruitful market due to Everest's mountain ranges and dense forests. Though Arcadia Outdoors also sold weaponry, hunting rifles, shotguns and civilian pistols for self-defense. Obviously there were a large array of hunters on Everest, farmers needed weapons to protect their homesteads and some people just felt safer with a pistol on them. David saw his business grow at a rapid pace, opening his second store in Thorn Plateau not long after.

Skip forward to 2180 and Arcadia Outdoors is renamed to Arcadia Armories, with the last of their ordinary stock being sold off in exchange for a large array of civilian weaponry. Which over the next decade would see higher-grade stuff added along beside it, by 2187 it had recieved its first proper contract. The Arcadia City Police Department desired a new range of pistols for its officers, this had been the first homegrown development for the company, the E1 Service Pistol was developed as a result and was accepted with wide praise among law enforcement, 2189 came by and the majority of police forces across Everest were equipped with the E1 and its younger, newer brother the E2. During the 2190s the company turned its focus to higher caliber weapons, it started it's E10 range of shotguns in 2194 and proved popular among farmers and hunters, leading to them developing the E110 for law enforcement. This shotgun was adopted by a small number of police departments off-world as well.

By 2200, development on the company's first assault rifle. The E115 Enforcer had begun, however David Bringham passed away on July 1st of that year, leaving the company to his son Hugh Bringham. Who was determined to lead the company into a more modern future, showing off the E115 to law enforcement across the galaxy and not just on Everest, the Reaper War prevented the Enforcer from going anywhere off-world however it did give Hugh the opportunity to develop the E125 Combat Rifle. Which saw mass-success among the newly formed EDF.

Description:
The CS-58 originally started its life as the CS-56 Cargo Shuttle, manufactured by Cascade State Shipyards in cooperation with Thorn Transport Dynamics as they were the corporation with the licence to the AMX Series model of engine. Allowing the CS-56 to use the newly produced AMX-2199 Series engine for its aircraft. The CS-56 had little armor to speak off minus the necessary pieces and shielding for it to operate in the atmosphere and when needed - space. However after the Reaper War, the CS-56 was seen as a great source of potential to build off of due to the use it had seen as a supply transport during operations against Reaper forces. The CDF contracting Cascade State Shipyards to develop a new variant of the civilian cargo transport, by 2203 the CS-58 model had been launched as a military aircraft with improved armor, advanced ballistics shielding and an impressive albeit small array of weaponry to field. The lift power on the engines was increased to allow the Forest to carry IFV's and APC's to troops on the battlefield and the majority of the cockpit was re-worked in-order to fit in all of the sensors and other military-grade systems that would now be taking up the regularly civilian-used space. The CS-58 Forest entered service with the CDF in 2204 and saw mass-production during this time, the number in military usage as of 2205 being around 940.

F-404A/M[c]One of the three branches of the original model, this one having been designed for the use of the Army and Marines. As such it maintains an increased focus on atmospheric operations and close air support with additional ordinance loaded onto the aircraft in exchange for a slightly slower top speed.[c]F-404N[c]The second of the three branches of the original design, this one intended for the Navy as it too has mission-specific modifications such as improved life-support systems, a greatly increased operational range allowing for strikes to be carried out further from their carrier and a higher top speed. With the removal of Air-to-Ground ordinance, additional long range Air-to-Air ordinance is added.[c]F-404SG[c]The last of the three branches. This model was modified for the use of the System Guard which acts quite like a coast guard, with operations focused on anti-piracy and law enforcement over engagement with foreign threats. This different mission is shown through the SG's greatly increased top speed and lack of heavy ordinance, instead opting for an additional front gun and additional long-range AA missiles.[c]F-404OF[c]The first large deviation from the original model, this craft in-fact is never intended for actual combat but rather training simulations. The OF standing for OpFor, this variant of the jet is intended to be easily customized, allowing it to simulate the performance of any variety of foreign strike fighters to give pilots in training the closest experience to the real thing.[c]EF-404A/M[c]A slight, but important deviation from the model intended for the Army and Marines, this fighter is intended for the role of Electronic Warfare, with two crewmen instead of one, with the added crewman acting as the Electronic Systems Officer, equipped with the same weapons and armor as the original model, this fighter deviates through its ability to jam enemy frequencies and targetting systems. Acting as a support craft for the other fighters and troops on the ground.[c]EF-404N[c]The Navy equivalent of the Army & Marine variants, this electronic warfare-focused fighter is also intended to act as a support craft for its comrades in battle, though instead of affecting enemy ground troops, this fighter is focused more towards targetting entire enemy fleets. Granting allied forces an easier time in engaging with enemy fighters and the ships that they belong to.[c]EF-404SG[c]Similarly to its Army, Marines and Navy counterparts, the System Guard's EF-404 is specific for the anti-piracy and law enforcement responsibilities of the branch it was designed for. Due to the weaker foes the System Guard tangles with, such as pirates, mercenaries and criminals, the SG's electronic warfare systems are more focused on entirely shutting down targetted craft due to the weaker countermeasures these vessels hold in comparison to proper military forces.
Information:
Originally delivered to the James Risner Aerospace Center on Lexington in 2204 as the XF-403, the first prototype of what is now known to be the F-404 Patriot was a direct competitor to Lockheed Martin's XF-440 Banshee and Cord-Hislop Aerospace's XF-600 Hawkeye, both of which at the time had been competing with McDonnell Douglas for a lucrative contract with the Department of System Defense, which had been in the middle of its big push for both domestic and foreign corporations to put forward their proposals for equipment that the still growing Concord Defense Force required. In this case it was a multirole strike fighter which could be modified to fill a large number of roles in different branches, and despite a quality effort from their competitors, McDonnell Douglas won the contract as their protoype slid into all the requirements without a hitch. Granting them the contract and right to begin the development of a final product for the Department which was delivered two and a half years later as the McDonnell Douglas F-404 Patriot that we know today and almost immediately the fighter was put into mass-production to fill the airfields across Concord's various planets and colonies and to fill the hangars of the new Navy ships that were just coming off the assembly line.

The fighter is by all standards, state-of-the-art and its reputation among pilots speaks volumes as to its reliability and smooth control and though--as most of what Concord produces it is outnumbered by the forces of the galaxy's superpowers, it fulfills its role of being the prime example of quality over quantity and matches, if not surpasses many other fighters in all areas. However perhaps one of the most appealing factors of the F-404 Patriot is its easy customizability, allowing for flexability with the fighter's capabilities and ordinance depending on mission specifics and the military as a whole's combat strategy. And much to the dismay of the brass that approved of its development and purchase, this fine craftsmanship is seen in the cost of these fighters which ironically cause them to surpass many other fighters in this area as well which needless to say is not a benefit to those who approved of its purchase. Not that this has disuaded them from ordering increasing numbers of the fighter over the years since it was first developed due to the overall brilliance of the fighter, though another issue became quickly apparent that the maintenance cost too for the F-404, and the complexity of maintaining them was rather high due to both the cost of the high-tech components and the many different components that were required and had to be repaired and bought for each of the many different models of the F-404 which McDonnell Douglas has promised to lessen if not remove this issue in the Block 2 fighters.

It is operated solely by the flight display teams of each military branch.[c]The F-404OF model was designed as nothing more than a skeleton in-order to allow it to be customized specifically to simulate the performance of foreign-made fighter jets for training exercises and is operated solely by the Navy-run 'Aggressor' Squadrons.[c]The prototype XF-403 that was shown to UCAF officials at the James Risner Aerospace Center in 2204, this was the precursor to every other model and the model that won the confidence that is now bestowed upon McDonnell Douglas to this day. Lacking many of the features of its successors, the XF-403 was still a magnificent fighter, and is now shown in many aerospace museums.
The Concordian-specific export variant of the Alliance's M39 Aztec, the M39-C Saxon was one of the first deals agreed upon by the Systems Alliance and the then still not-independent Concord system to help bolster its at the time fledgling Defense Force which was being formed shortly after the Reaper War. Contracting Hahne-Kedar, the manufacturers of the original model to construct the Concordian cousin weapon. It is used extensively as the primary assault rifle of the United Concordian Armed Forces post-independence and is sometimes seen fielded by law enforcement agencies across Concordian space. And though similar in many ways, the M39-C is also different in many ways to its parent rifle the M39 with the most drastic of these differences being the M39-C's focus on fully automatic fire and penetration, able to rip through armor and shields alike with ease if the trigger is held for a long enough time, though the downside to this is that operators of the Saxon must be vigilant on how much ammunition their rifle is going through. The other downside being that this calls for an increased number of clips to be carried by operators of the weapon, limiting space available for other utilities.

Since its development, there have been a number of negotiations held between the United Concordian Armed Forces and Hahne-Kedar for the UCAF to take ownership of the weapon design so that they may grant the manufacturing contract of the weapon to domestic arms corporations such as Arcadia Armories, creator of the other weapons in the Concordian arsenal. However Hahne-Kedar has remained staunchly dug in to maintaining the rights of the weapon so that they solely can manufacture it and thus continue their lucrative contract with the UCAF.

Born from the CDF's increasing desire for homegrown weaponry and Arcadia Armories' increasingly expanding reach when it came to weapons development and manufacturing, the M135 Squad Support Weapon, or the Arctic Light Machine Gun as its more commonly known is a Concordian marvel of firepower and reliability. With the hallmarks of Arcadia Armories produced weaponry, such as its removable stock and modifiable scope range, not to mention the high stopping power and reliability of the weapon itself. The Arctic has already proven itself in field testing with the CDF, developed in 2204 not long after the M125 Combat Rifle was shipped off for mass-production, the M135 was met with initial wariness from the Concordian parliament, whom the CDF had been trying to get a bill for additional weaponry passed for months beforehand.

Parliament saw the Arctic as a luxury more than a necessity when it came to defense policy, and that they could always turn to other well-established weapons as an alternative. This debate raged on for a month at most before Edward Tallow spoke with the Governor personally about the situation, and the weapon was approved soon after under executive order from the Governor. It was controversial at the time however it proved itself in use with CDF forces during simulated tests and scenarios. Being put into mass-production and handed out to CDF personnel at the start of 2205.

The official love-child between Arcadia Armories and the Department of System Defense. The Mountain rifle, also known as the M125 Combat Rifle was originally meant to be a heavy duty weapon for law enforcement across Citadel Space prior to the Reaper War. It started off its life as the M115 Enforcer, this being the first prototype of the rifle was recieved well by police departments across Alliance space and even C-SEC showed interest in the weapon's potential however its trial runs were cut short when the Reaper forces landed in Arcadia City on Everest. The hometown of Arcadia Armories, their headquarters was abandoned until after the War when rebuilding began. And with this a new era of Concordian defense, the newly formed Department of System Defense made contact with the Armories shortly after it was formally set up offering them a defense contract in return for an upgraded military variant of the M115 Enforcer. Arcadia Armories agreed needless to say.

By the summer of 2204, the M124 Combat Rifle had been given to the Concord Defense Force for testing as a second phase in the weapon's development, overall it recieved positive reviews from the Rangers who used it however a large setback on the weapon was its lack of stopping power. Failing to pierce even the most basic of modern body armors, this was mainly due to the weapon's history as a law enforcement weapon, the M124 was sent back and the Armories went back to the drawing board. By Christmas of the same year, the M125 had been developed, shipping off to the CDF and recieving all praise in return. The weapon although heavy and not very smooth was powerful, reliable and practical; everything that the CDF needed in their work. The M125 Combat Rifle was brought into service and mass-produced, with Arcadia Armories recieving multiple other weapons contracts for Concordian infantry needs.

Information:
Presented initially at the James Risner Aerospace Center on Lexington in 2203, the XB-204 was the prototype shown at flight demonstrations and other various presentations over the course of several weeks to Navy officials as Northrop Grumman's offer to their contract for a stealth strategic heavy bomber, a rather niche and hard to fill role which had regardless gained quite a lot of attention in the industry, with the 204 having to have competed against multiple other enticing entries such Cord-Hislop Aerospace's XB-110 and Boeing's XB-90, both of which--although having been full of potential had not quite managed to neatly fill that desired role as well as the 204, with the team at Grumman having won the contract and recieving permission to begin the development of the now named B-205 Phantom, which unlike the majority of aircraft did not actually change all that much in its development from the prototype stage to the release stage. In concept at least, the actual technology of the Phantom had changed significantly and numerous times due to the development team's desire to have the most up-to-date and state-of-the-art technology in their new creation, leading to a number of set-backs as the team requested more and more technology as it came out and raising the cost of the Phantom's development.

Though one could hardly argue that the result did not justify this expensive cost. The Phantom had it all, it was large, it could carry more bombs than its competitors, it was incredibly stealthy, being practically invisible to most systems that it would be pitted against, it was fast and it could defend itself if need be from enemy fighters or other anti-air/spacecraft weaponry. However much like McDonnell Douglas' own F-404 Patriot, which had been introduced only a few years prior, the Phantom's one major setback was its complexity, as the Phantom was certainly more expensive than any of the other bombers on the market, both to purchase and to maintain, a large part of this being due to how difficult it was to manufacture the Phantom--again because of its immense complexity. Which although incredibly useful in the field, rendered it a pain in the ass for many of the ground crews assigned to maintaining and preparing it, though very popular with the pilots and other crew operating it. It has developed a varied reputation among those familiar with it in the United Concordian Navy, loved by pilots but loathed by engineers--despite all this, it mattered little to the brass that had approved its purchase as perhaps its most important reputation is its one with any potential enemies of the UCC, terror and dread as a single squadron of Phantoms is more than capable of levelling entire continents of a planet if left free to do so.

Maneuverability:
Incredibly light and agile, the Mark 2 variant of the Mountaineer Armor improves on all of the aspects of its predecessor, again focusing the majority of the weight on the upper torso and shoulders, the lack of any heavy armor on the legs and lower body allows for a much faster operator with little to no restrictions on movement.

Armor Protection:
Not being a hardsuit, the M2A1 MTE armor just like its predecessor is not suitable for vaccum environments, reflecting its operators' primarily ground-based role, although if vaccum environments are encountered, a simple fix to this lack of space protection is to issue operators with a bodysuit to go underneath the armor, with the armor's ergonomics having been designed with this potential encounter in mind. And although less thick than the M1 MTE design, the armored plating of the M2A1 armor is much more resistant to projectile weaponry of all calibers, and can even fully stop small arms fire such as pistols or sub-machine guns from most ranges with the exception of point blank shots--although even from point blank most small arms fire will typically be non-lethal to an operator with the M2A1 MTE armor.

The armor is also quite effective even with larger and more hard-hitting caliber rounds from assault rifles and designated marksmen rifles from incredibly long ranges and most shots from these longer ranges will be non-lethal, with the probability of death for an operator only increasing the smaller the range is. With this in mind, the M2A1's only real weaknesses in terms of its ability to protect a wearer from harm are shotguns from close range and sniper rifles from long range and a lack of protection of the legs with the exception of the rather sturdy kneepads that are largely there for user comfort when kneeling and to obviously prevent unnecessary injury to a user's knees. Overall the armor is definitely a step-up from the Mark 1 version and is rather enough to take the edge off of any opponent who may boast more powerful weaponry than the Concordian operators of this armor. Making it incredibly popular with troops in the Army.

Shields:
With multiple rather simple, small shield emitters actually located within the collar of the armor around the operator's neck and with a few more located in the kneepads, the shield they put up does manage to cover the entirety of a user's body, with the downside being that the shield is rather weak compared to most--but the upside being that its recharge time is comparatively quick as a result. The shield is able to put up with single shots from long ranges, meaning that the primary methods of taking down the shield are automatic fire and close range fire.

Description:
In the mid 2200s, as the Concord Defense Force begun its rather aggressive program of rapid militarization and expansion and as the idea of Concordian independence grew closer and closer to reality with negotiations beginning to be held between both Alliance and Concordian officials. It was deemed by the Department of System Defense that certain upgrades would be required in the event that the Defense Force would be required to transform itself into a fully fledged independent military with no Alliance support. As such it was decided that the current generation of Mountaineer Armor, which was given to every infantrymen across every part of the Defense Force was no longer viable if their operations were to ever grow in scale and distance from the Concordian homeland. Alongside this, the Mark 1 generation of the armor was not flexible enough to be given to both the Army and the Marines. However Vaetrus Defense Works, the Turian corporation that had developed the first generation of the armor, had proven unable to improve on their past work, as such Engarde Security Systems, a Earth-based corporation had won the contract for the successor models.

Several seperate variations of the second generation of armor were developed by Engarde. Each of which varied slightly, but adequately in-order to fill the desired requirements needed for the operations that each branch of the military specialized in. These variations of the armor each came off of the line and into mass production around the time that the Articles of Secession were signed and the United Colonies of Concord were formed, allowing a much clearer integration of each variation of the armor into their respective branches. With the variation that was designed for the Army being dubbed the M2A1 MTE and having had affordability and ease of manufacturing in mind due to the comparatively large numbers of the Army when put next to the Marine Corps and special forces units, as such the M2A1 MTE is not as technologically advanced or smooth as the armors of both the Marine Corps and the several special forces units that operate with their own specialized armors. But it excels still in its own field, in personal protection and comfort in the battlefield.

Medium-Heavy Body Armor

Maneuverability:
Not as light and agile as its sibling in service with the Army, the M2A2 MTE Armor focuses largely more on increased protection for the user and the ability to operate in hazardous environments for long periods of time, as such it covers more of the user's body than the M2A1 and consequently is not as maneuverable as the M2A1. Although it is still lighter than any hardsuit allowing for much faster users than those in hardsuits, it is still heavier than its sibling.

Armor Protection:
With more attention put towards the ability to protect the operator, the M2A2 does cover far more of the operator's body than the M2A1 does. As it was essential for use in both the Marine Corps and the System Guard for operators to have as much protection as possible due to the probability of them being engaged in close quarters combat on-board enemy ships or in urban areas as in the case of the Marines, they specialize as the arrowhead of any Concordian advance and will undoubtedly be the first to run into the fiercest enemy resistance, and in the case of the System Guard, their operations largely consist of boarding potentially hostile ships in Concordian space. Requiring that added protection and ability to be used in the vaccum of space if need be. However the difference in the M2A2 and the M2A1 does not stop as simple how much of the body they both cover, but rather the armor itself. As the M2A2 armor is somewhat thicker than the M2A1 armor, making it both heavier and more resistance to projectiles, with anything short of a shotgun blast point blank or a high-powered sniper rifle most likely not going to be lethal to the operator though this armor does suffer from it not being a hardsuit in the aspect that there are still portions of the user's body open to being shot, such as parts of the legs.

However similarly to its sibling in the Army, sustained and continuous fire is the primary weakness of the M2A2, as although it is able to shrug off most calibers of round rather easily with obvious exceptions, it is still vulnerable to rapid fire, making fully automatic high-powered assault rifles and heavy machine guns the bane of its existence. Although an argument to counter this weakness has always been that the longer the distance between the operator and the enemy, the harder it is for the rounds--no matter how continuous to be effective. All in all, range is the M2A2's biggest ally, with the exception of the sniper rifle of course. And though this serves the Marines quite well in their combat operations, the System Guard has had some issues with this feature due to the fact that the majority of their operations are close quarters with very limited range, Engarde have attempted to resolve this issue with the M2A2+ variant, essentially just thickening the armor in exchange for less technological sophistication in other features. Though this model is in limited production and won't be produced en-masse until it has passed the bureaucratic hoops of the Department of System Defense.

Shields:
With being more technologically advanced than the M2A1 comes the advantage of a stronger shield for the M2A2. As it hosts a number of small shield emitters in a pod on the back of the armor, allowing it to be easily hidden by a backpack worn by the user and therefore harder to see and hit for any potential enemy. This shield is far stronger in recieving multiple hits than its M2A1 counterpart, however it does suffer from a slow recharge time and large power consumption, requiring operators to bring their own energy cells.

Maneuverability:
Intended as the perfect cross between the M2A1 and the M2A2 MTE Armors, the M2A3 whilst covering the user's entire body is still very much flexible and allows for a greater ease of movement than other--more standardized military hardsuits. This is largely due to the flexible material used in the creation of the armor and the thin quality of the armor too allows for greater speed than one would expect of a hardsuit operator.

Armor Protection:
Unlike the other two variants of the second generation of Mountaineer Armor and even their predecessor the first generation, the M2A3 is in-fact a proper hardsuit and does cover the entirety of the operator's body. Providing full protection, although in-order to reach that desired sweet spot of agility, speed and user protection. The actual armor itself of the M2A3 is most certainly the weakest of the three models, being spread out over a larger area and relying more on its shields than the armor, the M2A3 is certainly not intended for large scale warfare like the other two. And is more designed for small skirmishes with specific groups of individuals, the success of the armor leaning on the success of the operator and vice versa. It was with this in mind, given the immense talents and training of those in the Concordian special forces community that the M2A3 was developed as less of a means of protecting an operator, as the operators of this armor were more than capable of protecting themselves, and more as a means of succeeding in missions no matter the environment, concentrating more on the comfort and speed and agility of the operator than the thickness of the armor or its ability to shrug off bullets.

The M2A3 is entirely capable of operating in all kinds of hostile environments and can be used both in the vaccum of space and underneath the ocean as default features when compared to the M2A1 and M2A2 variants which require external additions in-order to operate in these environments. The M2A3 comes equipped with its own oxygen tank which automatically replenishes itself whenever the operator returns to an oxygen-filled environment, at the same time filtering this oxygen in-order to ensure that it is as clean as possible for the operator to breath in the event that they return to an airless environment. The helmet is currently the most technologically advanced piece of the armor, being described by some as a mini-command center as it maintains numerous constant communication links with all of what a leader would need, allowing command of large formations during active warfare through both the helmet and the datapad built into the wristpad of the armor along with even allowing police counter-terrorism and special tactics units to take control of civilian utilities and infrastructure when need-be during their own local operations.

Shields:
As mentioned before, the shields of the M2A3 are--along with the helmet--the most technologically advanced piece of the armor and far superior to their counterparts in the M2A1 and M2A2 armors to make up for the comparative weakness of the armor itself. With several power cells stored in the back of the armor behind a large slot colored the same as the rest of the armor which only opens upon the operator using their datapad to open it up, keeping it well hidden from hostile forces whilst still allowing the operator easy access in the event of an emergency. Though these powercells are connected to small solar panels built into the armor located on top of the helmet, shoulder pads and back. Meaning that they can essentially last indefinitely as long as the operator has time to turn their shields off and sit in the sun for a small while, the recharge time being rather quick to go with this combining the best of both worlds.

Description:
Based off of their 2198 series civilian model, the M489 Coyote is a light armored utility vehicle developed by Thorn Transport Dynamics' Land Systems Division that was commissioned by the Concord Defense Force (now: United Concordian Armed Forces) like the majority of their equipment immediately after the end of the Reaper War and the immense shift in Concordian politics that came as a result of that. Its competitors at the time had been the XM505 Cheetah, which was designed by Chrysler and Hahne-Kedar's own XM455 Quarter Horse. Both of which had been unable to meet the required balance of speed and armor, with the XM455 focusing too much on speed, and the XM505 focusing too much on armor. As one can imagine, the XM488 as the prototype had been dubbed managed to hit that required sweet spot, and as such had gotten the contract, cooperating with General Electric on the engine, the actual manufacturing of the new M489 Coyote had been split between the assembling plants of both Thorn Transport Dynamics and another Earth-based corporation, General Dynamics Land Systems.

Now with many different variants to act in numerous functions across all branches of the UCAF. The Coyote is the backbone of Concordian military ground logistics, being able to carry both small numbers of troops, larger numbers of troops, provide suppressing fire on enemies and even fend off larger amounts of infantry and even evacuation wounded personnel or KIA, the Coyote is the ground equivalent to the F-404 Patriot and its popularity with troops reflects as such. Having been used extensively by Concordian 'volunteer units' during the Systems Alliance Civil War throughout a large array of different environments with varying, but rather persistent success. Leading to its continued usage in the hundreds of thousands during peacetime operations and regular training exercises wherever the UCAF operates, keeping this role for both today and for what could be the far future as well.

Description:
Contracted by the Concord Defense Force, later to become the United Concordian Armed Forces. The Barrett M202 was built off of the already existing model of the Barrett M174 that was developed three decades prior, a weapon that had already proven itself extremely popular with civilian farmers and hunters across Concordian space due to its reliability, accuracy and guaranteed one shot kill on any animal, no matter how big. As such many members of both the government committee for the defense force's budget and those in the Department of System Defense themselves had already had personal experience with the fine craftsmanship of the Barrett series of rifles, of course their long and proud history, going back two hundred years helped their case immensely also. As such two models of the Barrett were commissioned to be built by Barrett Firearms Manufacturing for the CDF/UCAF, the M202P and the M202A, with the P standing for Personnel and the A standing for Armor.

The M202P fired with much less recoil, noise and force. Varying wildly to its brother as it was much lighter, slimmer and weaker to better fit the role of being meant for infantry as the M202A was naturally far too overpowered to be used on infantry and the ammunition was considered too expensive to waste on infantry regardless as the M202A was designed to disable tanks and armored vehicles, being an Anti-Material rifle where the M202P was a much more traditional anti-personnel rifle. However this difference in models later proved an issue as due to a lack of advanced planning on the topic, it quickly came to the attention of the Concordian brass that distributing both rifles to a single sniper would be highly inefficient and would slow them down greatly, which could be the difference in life or death due to the quick, agile tactics of the Rangers. So it was decided that two-men sniper teams would be trained as such so that both men could act as spotters, and one man would be equipped with the M202P, and the other the M202A, and that one would act as a spotter for the other and vice versa when need-be. It's been nearly a decade since the weapon's deployment and it has proven wildly successful among Rangers.

Maneuverability:
Mountaineer Armor provides a great deal of maneuverability to the operator however flexibility has remained an issue to some extent. The kneepads in-particular can make bending of the knees somewhat difficult compared to other armor configurations, however this can be fixed by simply not wearing them which often the CDF, the primary and sole contractor of the armor allows. The majority of the armor's weight is concentrated around the torso and upper-arm plates allowing for a greater mobility of the limbs.

Armor Protection:
The armor allows for a high sum of protection against ballistic projectiles however it does not stand as strongly against energy-based weapons. The armor is reliable and proves capable of shielding the user from the majority of the force from a round impacting against it, allowing for a higher rate of surviability on it's operators once shielding fails. Due to the comparatively weak shielding options available to the CDF, Mountaineer armor is required to provide more protection for the operator, as such it is comparably tougher than standard-issue Alliance armor.

Shields:
VDW's Multi-Protection Shielding, or VDW-MPS is the standard issue infantry shielding for CDF Rangers and other personnel, due to a lack of experience with shield works in the contracted corporation, the shields of the Mountaineer Armor are not as strong as that of Chevalier Armor though this is made up for in the strength of the armor plating itself, however the shields do have a quicker regeneration time due to not having to regenerate more powerful shielding like that of other armor sets. The shielding unit is positioned at the lumbar area of the operator's back and is concealed within the torso armor itself. The overall shielding covers the entirety of the operator's body due to EDF operational requirements, rangers typically remain on the move during battle and are not expected to take hits directly in the chest, with the CDF's concern being disabling shots in the limbs and so the VDW-MPS is designed with this in mind.

Description:
The Mountaineer Armor, officially known as the M1 MTE Armor is like many other military projects on the planet the result of an Concordian desire to not be dependent on the Alliance or their equipment solely for their defense, because of this the then-newly established CDF contracted Vaetrus Defense Works, a security and defense corporation based on the colony that was run by two brothers that were ex-Turian special forces operatives. Initially development of the armor was hindered due to the Turian contractors not having as much of an understanding of Human physiology as they did their own, however the CDF responded by sending some advisors their way to assist in the development of the armor, this sped up the process and within two years an admirable and efficient set of armor was produced, the first sets being handed out in 2204.

The Everestian Peak Shepherd, more commonly known as Everestian Peaks are a breed of dog that originated on the human colony world of Everest in the early 2170s. Originally a genetic mix between purebred German Shepherds and Huskies from Earth, the dog breed was first made by the then fledgling genetics company; Thorn Genetics as a way of making profit of off what had once been the frontier of the newly established colony. Selling the dogs to farmers and the sort to help them safeguard their properties and livestock from scavenger animals home to the planet, the first Everestian Peaks weren't as well-trained and strong as newer generations today are as they have grown larger in size over many generations since the 2170s. Even to this day they are still very popular pets with families living in rural areas and on farms, this is in stark contrast to the popularity of the breed with rich and influential buyers out elsewhere in Citadel space.

Everestian Peaks are incredibly loyal and playful dogs, they are very deeply desired by those higher up in the social hierarchy in both Systems Alliance and Citadel Space due to their beautiful coats and good reputations, the rarity of seeing an Everestian Peak when off the planet Everest also makes them more sought after as a symbol of cultural sophistication almost, though this is typically a factor that affects Asari or Salarian buyers who recieve the pets as gifts from family members living on the planet. Everestian Peaks are one of the most child-friendly pets available though can prove difficult with strangers at times due to how protective they can be of their owners, a loyal dog usually shows none of these problems however and is open to stroking or interaction. They are widely used by law enforcement as attack dogs and paranoid families as guard dogs and are now directly associated with their home planet as a whole. Due to the dogs originating on Everest, the Colonial Government's Animal Regulation and Protection Agency [ARPA] is the supervisory department when it comes to Everestian Peaks, and have made it mandatory with government help to ensure that all dogs are treated properly, legal reprecussions for mistreating an Everestian Peak are usually quite severe as a result of their popularity. An Everestian Peak has nearly unmatched senses, with amazing senses of smell, sight and hearing and deep, powerful barks when aggressive or yippy, excited and puppy-like barks when happy or in a playful mood. Making them very appealing in the "cute department" for families and pet lovers along with military veterans in need of a faithful companion, these dogs are often used for those suffering from anxiety or depression issues or even war-related stress.

They are well known for their incredible bravery and multiple dogs have even recieved Everest Medallions for their own service during the Reaper War. With heroic stories of dogs running to be with their soldier-owners even in the midst of battle, an Everestian Peak will nearly always put their owner before themselves and are very selfless. They are easy to train and very responsive to commands, they are friendly to all sentient species with some exceptions to the Hanar due to their limbs which many dogs may see as chew toys though like all domesticated pets, a well trained Peak will not suffer from this problem. The majority of problem dogs are often due to the owner's negligence or lack of care when looking after these dogs, in-order to bond with one and maintain its love and mental health, one must not neglect these dogs as they are very, very social dogs and do not cope well in isolation. It is not recommended to leave them alone for long periods of time otherwise they may seep into moods of depression temporarily where they will not be nearly as energetic as they usually are. When it comes to other breeds of dog or domesticated pets, Everestian Peaks are often very friendly and playful towards them though due to their roots they are often aggressive towards feral animals by default and require strict teaching to prevent them from chasing after rodents in the street or birds in rural areas.

The 21 stars symbolize the 21 colonies in Concord with the largest star in the center representing Everest, the capital and origin of it all, the arrows showing its expansion to the rest of the system.

An anomaly that Humanity never expected to find so soon. The Concord system was a diamond in the rough vastness of empty space, a system that was so breathtakingly perfect for Human colonization and expansion that it immediately rose questions among the scientific community of the Systems Alliance. Four habitable worlds and a single habitable moon occupy this system and surround a G-type main sequence star similar to Earth's own sun, four habitable worlds and a single habitable moon that Humanity would soon come to know as the work of an ancient spacefaring civilization known as the Synril who would later be discovered to have existed around the same time as the Prothean Empire. The Synril having claimed before their untimely demise that they had discovered the path to true peace. Ironically enough this path was interrupted when their race was destroyed by an aggressive, war-like race known as the Dikatur. Remnants of this great, ancient war still being found by eager archeologists across the system's many worlds even to this day, fifty thousand years later. Aside from the scientific revelations surrounding the use of terraforming technology to make a world habitable, the value of the Concord system goes beyond its past, alien glory. With this system already forming its own proud, albeit short history of shipbuilding and heavy manufacturing industry, helping to fuel both Humanity's exploration and war machines with their many great shipyards and factories.

As most systems go, Concord is a very densely developed one--this being largely due to the nature of the government which rules it. That being the United Colonies of Concord, a fiercely independent nation which maintains the policy of self-reliance as far as can be achieved, this means using everything and anything that the Concord system, the only system which they hold as its own impromptu territory can give them. As such, colonized and developed worlds go beyond just the four terraformed planets, but extend to the countless dozens of moons and asteroids which also call the system home. Totalling the number of colonized bodies to 21, with only 4 being habitable planets.

First settled in 2167CE and starting with the now capital world of Concord, Everest. The system has grown rapidly in terms of population and reputation as a large emphasis was put on exploring and researching this anomaly of a system, with as rich of an ancient history as it has by the Systems Alliance. A sizeable contingent of scientific experts being stationed around the clock on what was finally found to be the center of the Synril's terraforming capabilities, a small--barely noticeable space station which was found by a passing freighter exiting the system, with no energy to keep the systems that kept it in place running, this station had been aimlessly floating in space until it was discovered in 2175CE and towed back to an orbit around Everest, the third planet of the system where scientists theorize its original location was. Prompting speculation that Everest had been the capital world of Concord thousands of years ago just like it is today.

Devestated by the Reaper War at the turn of the century, Concord was one of the first Human systems to be struck by the merciless destruction that the Reapers brought. With casualities in the tens of millions, the War had been the final nail in the coffin of the Alliance's chance at dissuading the population of the system from their independence streak, as the Alliance Navy forces stationed in the system had fled as the main Reaper force en-route to Earth jumped into the system. Leaving Concord at the hands of the Reapers with very little if any protection. Resulting in a year long brutal guerilla war campaign and refugee crisis, both of which still scars the Concordian people today and prompted the formation of the Concord Defense Force which would later become the United Concordian Armed Forces.

As of 2211, the Concord system hosts 468,781,737 people and is fully independent, now being known as the United Colonies of Concord. Their territory expands across the entirety of the system, and a minor exclusion zone surrounding their home system to give them some 'breathing space' between their territory and that of the Systems Alliance which now encompasses their homeland, although this has recently changed with the discovery of the Weiss Mass Relay and the UCC claiming the resource and planet-rich cluster on the other end as their own territory, this claim being recognized by the Citadel Alliance and Systems Alliance, granting Concord ten times the amount of territory which it had once been restricted to and opening a new chapter for their development and continued expansion.

The background white symbolizes the purity and beauty of Constitution whilst the red and blue side by side show the united peoples of Constitution, the red and blue also being in the shape of a native Constonian flower.

A world of true beauty. Constitution's nickname, Arcadia stems from the Greek word ἈÏκαδία which describes a world in which there is harmony with nature and unspoiled wilderness and the planet shares its nickname with the largest city on Everest, Arcadia City. Orbited by a set of triplet moons dubbed Peace, Bulwark and Echo. It is a for tourism in both Human space and Citadel space as a whole, with Constitution's strict environmental laws are to thank for the preservation of its nature which largely consists of oceanlife in both the fields of flora and fauna due to around 90% of the planet being covered in a vast salt water ocean, only being interrupted periodically by an array of vast and tiny island chains, some forming their own continents and others merely being small gatherings of islands hidden away from the planet's population of Human settlers and off-world tourists. Temperature-wise, Constitution can reach figures as high as 40 degrees Celsius and as low as 15 during the 3 months of winter which the planet recieves annually. As mentioned before, the majority of the planet's land remains undeveloped with the exception of smaller rural settlements, with the only large developed regions being the coastlines and occasional mountain ranges on the larger continent-sized islands where tourism is heavily concentrated. These developments often being made up entirely of tourist-related industries such as exotic resorts, water parks, zoos and the like. Constitution's territories consist of, Kanaloa, Laka, NÄmaka, Haumea and Aumakua.

Being a relatively young planet in the galactic sense, Constitution has a notable lack of land fauna, with the overwhelming majority of its life coming from its oceans where studies have shown that large portions of life are still evolving to the conditions of the planet's waters. As one could imagine, this research heavily influenced the Concordian government's decision to enact strict environmental laws on the planet despite heavy corporate lobbying against the decision, which even now retains large public support across Concord. Despite Constitution's lack of development overall. Arcadia is not without its fair share of urban environments, although entirely restricted to the coastlines, Constitution boasts an impressive number of beautiful cityscapes which attract as many tourists as the luxurious resorts that are often found lying on the outskirts of these leisure cities who's populations are typically in the millions. Though unlike its neighbor worlds, Constitution's cities are usually found very densely developed and largely comprised of towering skyscrapers due to the costs of land acquirement that construction companies, city councils and would-be real estate moguls have to put up with in-order to expand city limits with their developments. Whereas cities on the other worlds of the Concord system typically follow a pattern of a built up downtown district filled with skyscrapers, and the further one gets from the center of the city, the smaller and more spread out the buildings become.

Known more for their luxury than their hard work, Constonians are seen by their cousins in the rest of the system as the laziest and most decadent of the lot, though that rarely comes between them as the benefits of the Constonian economy shine across for all to see, the planet's tourism industry alone bringing in tens of billions of credits annually as the galaxy's wealthiest flock to its shores every summer season and return the very next year, the richest even buying their own holiday homes to stay for longer periods than most. Aside from its booming tourist industry however, Constitution is also known for its business in telecommunications and consumer technology overall, with various prominent tech companies having established their facilities across Constitution whether it be for the PR of having their headquarters on such a prestigious planet or the seclusion of having one of their Research & Development facilities in the rural wilderness deep at the heart of the planet's many islands where none can pry. Constitution's third largest industry would be its still growing pharmacuticals involvement, though steadily these corporations have been taking a greater chunk of the planet's economic output as more investment arrives from both Human and primarily Asari and Salarian industries involved with chemical and pharmacutical works proving a much-appreciated boost to the planet's still growing economy.

Yet despite its lack of strategic value, not even Constitution was untouched by the horrors of the Reaper War. Though not to the same extent as October or Everest, Constitution did not suffer at the hands of a Reaper warship like its neighbors or so many other worlds around the galaxy, but instead suffered from a ground invasion by newly converted Husks which had been transported from the decimated Batarian Hegemony, ironically which countless refugees had fled from not days prior to the invasion of Constitution. Their warnings having given Constitution sometime to prepare for what was to come but not enough, local law enforcement, the insignificant numbers of Colonial Guard and civilian militias being slaughtered by the unrelenting waves of Reaper mutated hordes. Which only continued to grow in scale as city after city fell across the planet, millions of tourists being trapped on the besiged world as a result of their enemy's surprisingly strategic strikes against Constitution's numerous, large spaceports, effectively putting them out of use and much like Everest, forcing the majority of the surviving population into the planet's rural regions, with entire fleets of civilian and government seafaring vessels setting sail from the planet's main continents and seeking refuge on small, barely noticable islands elsewhere, where they set up large refugee camps until the War was over and Constitution was liberated.

And liberated it was in time as a joint Alliance-Concordian task force arrived on Constitution shortly after the liberation of Everest and October, swiftly wiping out the weakened and leaderless Reaper forces, thus beginning the process of mourning and rebuilding, and though Constitution had not suffered nearly as much as most other worlds, it had suffered nonetheless. As such, Constitution became closer with its cousins from across Concord and helped fund, man and equip the newly created post-war Concord Defense Force, forging a new identity with their too forgotten brothers, an identity as Concordians after the system which they now all called home.

A picturesque agricultural world, October is the bread basket of the Concord System and a beautiful one at that. Colonized by the very first self-titled Everestians only a year after the founding of the Everest colony, October's name was chosen because of the nature of its native trees, October Orangeleafs which maintained an orange and brown mixture in their leafs all around the year, similar to Earth trees during the Autumn months. Alongside this, the planet is host to a varied and diverse ecosystem which closely mimics that of temperate forest regions of Earth such as the west and east coasts of the continental United States and much of Europe and East Asia with an abundance of prey-like, harmless animals which rapidly breed and populate most of the world's surface, only kept in check by a counter-balance of predators which similarly prove little threat to Human colonists for the majority of the time but often do prove as a nuissance to farmers when their livestock is threatened, leading to moral and legal conflicts on the topic of whether or not to engage in the culling of these native animals for the sake of the planet's rural economy. October is orbited by a large, somewhat developed moon named Harmony and temperatures on October on average range from around as high as 30 Degrees Celsius to as low as -15 in the winter months.

But October too is a humble world as well as a beautiful one, with the capital city of Consequence really being the only true metropolis of the planet. With the majority of the rest of the planet covered by large open farmland and their more sterile factory counterparts which are seen largely on October in the form of gleaming white complexes of state of the art genetic and agricultural technology. To the surprise of no one, this conflict between methods of agriculture has sparked issues in the colony's legal system time and time again as large food corporations continuously attempt to seize the land of small farm owners in surrounding areas. So much of a regular occurance in-fact that Concordian law now protects small businesses, in this case farms from large businesses gaining monopolies over certain industries. Of course other than the massive stretches of both free-range and factory farms, October is also home to countless hundreds of small rural towns that dot the landscape, often settled along rivers, the coasts or popular trade routes such as train routes or highways. These towns are often free of the issues that larger settlements face, crime is typically low if it exists at all much to the extent that these towns rarely have their own police departments and instead rely on the Highway Patrol or State Police of their territory who's jurisdiction often covers dozens of towns. To add, unemployment too is in that category of near-extinction and the majority of these towns typically rely on one or two major industries that employ most of the population. With farming and fishing being two of the big employers.

As part of the Concord system and a neighbor of Everest, October has a close familial bond with its mother-planet and the populations of both share the same independent, nationalistic identity and even government institutions. As October falls under the blanket of the Concordian Government, which remains the leading authority of the Concord system. In regards to defense, October is home to both a large Concordian military presence in both space and on the ground. Much like the other colonized worlds in its system and across Human space as a whole, October grew at a relatively fast and healthy pace. What with its population constantly growing over the years from both a boom in births and a massive influx of immigrants from across Alliance space, the planet's humble nature and simple lifestyle coming across to many as appealing in a galaxy where everything was fast paced and the world could change at any moment. Which for the most part, October has persistently followed this pattern of slow, easy living and more traditional values.

However this state of living would be broken at the turn of the century with the Reaper War as the alien strike force en-route to Earth jumped into the system, and after a brief battle with the Alliance Navy, emerged victorious with only the loss of a single ship. Leaving October, like the other worlds of the Concord system at the merciless hands of the Reaper threat, though which largely bypassed the system in favor of Earth, dispatched a smaller detachment of ships and Husk invaders to each planet, October recieving less attention than Everest but just enough to cause widespread devestation due to the fact that the planet was an important source of food for both the system and the Alliance as a whole, the Reapers acknowledging the planet as more of a strategic target than its other neighbor Constitution as thousands of Husks descended on Consequence, the capital city falling within several hours as a hasty evacuation attempt was made by the planet's emergency services and millions of people flooded the planet's transportation system, which quickly broke under the pressure and as a result caused countless hundreds of thousands of people to be trapped behind enemy lines. Forcing an exodus on foot as entire regions of farmland would turn from their usual brightness to a much darker color from an orbital view as millions of people flooded into the countryside with nothing but the clothes on their back and the bags in their hands.

October however did have a sizeable Alliance garrison on it and as such, this exodus was largely protected from Reaper assault by Marine armored battalions which held off the Reapers for a long enough time for the civilian population to flee from Consequence where they were greeted by more government personnel mostly from the Highway Patrol and Center for Emergency Response Action, the Concordian government's disaster management agency. Overnight refugee camps consisting of hundreds of thousands of civilians formed in small rural towns that normally held only several thousand or even several hundred people, the conditions of the camps were inhumane and despite October having an abundant supply of food, the transportation network had completely shut down as Reaper forces destroyed important routes and shot down any aerial transportation. As such millions of tonnes of perfectly good food went to waste in their storage facilities as the people of October starved, and if it had not been for the sudden arrival of Alliance and Concordian forces near the end of 2201 and just after the liberation of Everest, the deaths from starvation alone would have numbered in the millions. But October and its people were saved, and in a story that has been repeated across the galaxy, mourning and rebuilding would come next. But from this, unity with their fellow Concordians, and a resurgent independence streak and determination to rule of their own accord as October was--besides Everest the most eager participant in the formation of the CDF which would later become the UCAF.

Founded in 2157 CE by a Human exploration team led by one Captain Johnathan Mayhew as the Alliance continued to expand at a rapid pace, this ideal, agrarian and mountainous planet had been found as unusually suited to Human life with copious amounts of natural resources such as wood, minerals of various sorts and an abundance of arable land. As such, Everest was subject to high levels of immigration during its first years of development and construction. The Concord Colonial Government was set up soon after this increased population arrived and the first Governor; Lasky J. Walker was elected into power in the summer of 2158 with the Colonial Congress' formation soon following to begin running the planet in its day to day business. The Colony's first settlement was founded in the region of the planet known as New Philadelphia, as the Colony grew in size this settlement became the capital city, taking the name of the location it was based in. New Philadelphia was named a culturally significant site by the Colonial Government on the five year anniversary of the Colony's founding. The population of Everest grew at a rate faster than most other newly formed colonies due to the Alliance's and later the Colonial Government's advertisement of it being a paradise among the stars. This had been appealing to many seeking new homes off of Earth and the population grew alongside the economy.

The planet hosts a more than habitable environment and climate for Humanity, with the majority of the planet being covered in dense Conifer like forests and mountain ranges. Large lakes and river systems also occupy the equator of the planet, this is where most of the first settlements on Everest were founded including Thorn Plateau and Arcadia City. One of Everest's most profitable industries is its Tourism, the planet is a beautiful one if anything with very clear reminisces of certain regions of Earth, most noteably its similarities to the Cascade Range in the United North American States. Everest is also known for its lack of hostile environment ranges, if you exclude its mountainous regions which are more or less safe for everyone. There is a distinct lack of harsh desert environments or humid jungles and its native animal life holds almost zero interest in human activity. For the most part the planet's weather is stable with little irrational patterns to it, the planet's continental plates rarely if ever shift and most other forms of natural disasters that one would find on Earth do not occur on Everest. The majority of its volcanoes are dead with four dormant and two active but relatively weak ones. The Planet has four seasons similar to Earth and all of which are pretty distinct from one another, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter being those four. The winter and summer are both somewhat long and the snow is kept mostly to the north of the planet.

Everest's culture and way of life is a pretty modest one the further away you get from the major cities where the recently arrived colonists live and work. The roots of the planet's people are most often found in the countrysides, many humble towns and communities are tucked away in forested regions in-between the mountains to the south where it rarely snows. These areas would have very clear reminders of what Earth's rural communities would have once been like, filled with hard working and modest folk who are just wanting to live their lives in relative peace and at ease. The cities of the planet are more modernized in this regard, with many corporations holding their own office buildings in the planet's larger cities. The cities of Port Edwards and Utopia Bay are host to large civilian shipyards which in the past have been responsible for some rather famous civilian luxury liners. Aside from its tourist value, the other important industries to the planet include its ship building infrastructure and its agriculture, timber exports and Iridium exports are also profitable to the colony. City life is highly envied by many of the planet's rural youth due to the luxurious picture painted by various forms of media in the Alliance overall, however the cities themselves aren't particularly fancy in comparison to other cities in Alliance space. They are fairly standard with pretty-looking skylines and noteable places of interest such as museums or stadiums, the largest city being Arcadia City as of now.

Despite the planet's seemingly pacifist and humble nature, it does have a close relationship with the Alliance military. Due to the Cascade State Shipyards in Utopia Bay and Port Edwards, these shipyards although meant for and used exclusively for civilian ship construction having the potential for military production at a fast pace due to their size and efficiency. Other reasons include the many defendable positions on the planet, the suitablity of the planet for various training exercises and the increased threat from the outer galaxy, the Geth being just an example. As such the Systems Alliance maintains a large force of Marines and Salamis-class frigates stationed on the planet at any one time, mostly made up of native Everestians and with a detachment force from the 6th Fleet that varies in size and strength depending on the threat level to the planet and the system. Fort Charlie is currently the main base of operations for the Alliance military on Everest and is home to around 153,400 personnel.

After the Geth attack on Eden Prime in 2183 CE, the Concord Colonial Government took what was deemed as necessary precautions to upgrade its planetary defenses due to Eden Prime being in Concord's neighbor system, Utopia. Reinforced materials were implemented to the Alliance military bases and naval installations on the planet surface whilst long range scanners were positioned on the single space station orbiting Everest, Kilo II which was a civilian station originally put in place by the explorers who first discovered Everest. This had once served as their home base whilst setting up the first colonies on the planet, but was now operated by the Concord Colonial Government. The Colonial Congress also voted on a bill that would allow the formation of an irregular military force or a Colonial militia of sorts to defend the planet in the event of an invasion or state of emergency. It would only be formed and organized upon executive order from the Governor of the planet and would be strictly volunteer based. This limited preparing would have been somewhat useful if it had been the Geth which had attacked, however it hadn't been the Geth to attack the colony.

During the Reaper War in 2201, Everest had been one of the first Human worlds to be hit. With a good amount of Alliance fleets being bypassed entirely as the Reapers advanced towards Earth, a small detachment was cut off from the main force to attack Everest along with other Human colonies in the cluster and Concord System with the exception of Lexington and the Moon Colonies, the Alliance Navy fleet defending the system was wiped out quickly after having taken down a single Reaper ship, only for more to come through. Kilo II Station had been spared solely due to the fact that it hadn't been in the Reapers war path at the time, the landing zone of the Reaper forces had been Arcadia City, where they had quickly overrun and had forced the Alliance and newly formed Everest Planetary Guard forces to retreat to the surrounding towns and forests. From there they had advanced to New Philadelphia and Port Edwards within the next few hours, completely destroying Port Edwards and causing massive damage to New Philadelphia's infrastructure, however the majority of the city's population had evacuated around this time due to the order from Governor Derek Lance to begin immediate evacuations of all civilian centers, the Colonial Government for as long as it lasted had worked efficiently to save as many lives as possible. Knowing that attempting to fight the Reapers off was impossible at best. Many civilians had also been able to escape off-world prior to the Spaceports being destroyed. The majority of these refugees ended up across the unaffected colonies of the Concord system at some point.

The tactic of running before fighting had worked to a good extent and as such a large portion of the planet's population had been saved from the initial attack. Emergency broadcast messages took up every channel and network, the Extranet accounts of all Everest citizens had been sent instructions on what to do and the local emergency services of these cities had been the real heroes of the day, safely evacuating their populaces before the Reapers could arrive in bulk. The government instructions had mostly been to pack up and spread out to any secluded, uninhabited area. Whether it be a forest or a mountain range, those living in the countryside faired far better than the city-dwellers as the country folk were usually far more prepared for rough conditions. Cities such as Arcadia, Port Edwards and Arlington hadn't been as lucky however. Port Edwards being completely destroyed and losing the vast majority of its population, Arlington's population being nearly fully turned into Husks for the Reapers to use and Arcadia's vital infrastructure being destroyed to get the Alliance to abandon it early on. This had only been within the first week, and in that week all urban centers on Everest had been either destroyed or completely abandoned by the population. A mass exodus had occured for all those who hadn't yet been killed or converted and with a lack of civilians in the way, the Human resistance begun steadily fighting against the Reapers in growing confidence. Fort Charlie had been destroyed during the siege of New Philadelphia and the Alliance Naval installation at McCall-Hampton Listening Station had also been destroyed four hours after the first Reaper forces landed in Arcadia City. This would have left most military forces bewildered and unorganized, however temporary bases had been set up in outerlying towns in the forests and mountain ranges. Led by either surviving Alliance officials, Colonial law enforcement leaders or retired high-ranking officers, as Everest had long since been a popular retirement resort for military breeds. The first assaults began in February, 2201 and lasted for the rest of the year until the end of the War. Consistancy had been the key to wearing the Reapers down over time as direct assaults were often disasterous, hit and run styled tactics had been massively successful in the irregular campaign against the Reapers.

Similar to events of Palaven, more unconventional tactics had been used to destroy Reaper compounds. Captured soldiers with bomb vests were sent in, and of course suicide bombing had been very successful. Taking down three large processing plants in the process, however many hundreds of captured civilians were also killed in these attacks it was deemed a necessary evil as stated by Lieutenant Commander. Abram Kannings of the Alliance Marines, "A necessary evil is still a evil, however at least now we know that something works on them." For the majority of the War surprisingly, the Reapers had remained on the defensive. Having to stand their ground and hold onto the captured cities and sources of materials and troops they'd gained in the initial invasion. This was a vital part in the Everest Resistance's plan to wear the enemy down, by keeping up with their consistant and harrassing attacks, and keeping their own losses somewhat low they could allow for more direct assaults to happen. Knowing their terrain had been key in allowing the Resistance forces to evade the Reapers attempts to destroy them, many of the formerly important areas of Everest's infrastructure and population had been surrounded by dense forests or mountain ranges as per the planet's dominant geography. And the vast majority of the planet's population were already well accustomed to these features, the Resistance essentially acting almost like a trained Mountain Division would, they were largely self-reliant and only required rare ventures into cities for supplies, metro systems near the cities and old countryside roads out in the rural areas were used to smuggle bombs and ammunition to other Alliance Marine units and Everest Planetary Guard brigades and an elaborate system of message sending and recieving was set up without the use of technology as to prevent any detection or intrusion by Reaper technology.

As the War came to an end, the amount of direct attacks made by the Marines and Planetary Guard against the Reapers became more frequent, damaging and successful. A month before the War's end the city of Paulstown had been recaptured, the Husk garrison having been eliminated and within the same week of the Battle of Earth, Arcadia City was retaken. By the time the Crucible had fired and the Reapers were wiped out, Everest forces had already been advancing on New Philadelphia. Destroying the final Reaper forces as the Alliance finally sent in reinforcements to assist them in cleaning up the remnants and rebuilding their crippled infrastructure. Medals were given out to thousands of brave men and women, Arcadia City was rebuilt to its former glory meanwhile Allen is nearing completion as of the current year. Many large war memorials were erected in New Philadelphia honoring the many kinds of people that fought for the freedom of the planet, the emergency services that helped in the evacuations of cities and towns. The Alliance Navy's frigates that sacrificed themselves attempting to stop the Reapers from landing on the planet, the Alliance Marines and Planetary Guardsmen themselves who fought tooth and nail to defend their homeworld, the many bombers who took their own lives to take down the monsterous Reaper processing plants and of course the people of Everest themselves.

Governor Derek Lance was posthumously awarded the Systems Alliance's Distinguished Service Medal for ordering the evacuation of every settlement on the planet upon immediate touchdown of the Reapers therefore saving the lives of hundreds of thousands of civilians. The Governor had honorably chosen to go down with his ship in New Philadelphia after ordering Congress to leave the city so that some form of government could be maintained, unfortunately many congressmen and senators had died attempting to escape the city but a small cabinet worth had survived allowing for some command structure to be maintained in the civilian government, his face was also put onto the back facing side of the Concord Medallion for his service to the system. The Colonial Star was issued in abundance to members of the Alliance Marine garrison on Everest which had been reinforced shortly after the War's end, Reaper Citation awards were given out in abundance to members of the Everest Planetary Guard on direct recommendation from the Colonial Government which had been refilled and back up to full capacity within weeks of the War's end.

Post-war and the colony is already starting to become the beacon of small-town prosperity and humbleness that it had once been. The larger cities of the planet are becoming what they once were, the government has been reformed and a new Governor elected. The Alliance has since then chosen to station a larger naval force on the planet and the Colonial Government has since chosen to begin upgrades to the Kilo II station to add defense systems to it, the Concord Defense Force has been set up as a permanent military organization for the system and as a spiritual successor to the Planetary Guard with many of the Guard's veterans choosing to enroll into the Concord Defense Force, with real training and Alliance-grade equipment being distributed now. The rural communities of the planet were able to return to normality much faster than the cities due to the lack of damage done to them and although the planet mourns its many dead, it celebrates its lone victory over the Reapers and the victory of Humanity overall.

With a lack of wartime concerns now, Everest has begun focusing its efforts on expanding its technological sector due to the increasing value of the market. The University of Arcadia and Thorn State College being just two examples of how new education funding is expanding the facilities in use for students to encourage more technological development on the planet and to encourage more corporate investing. A steadily increasing but still small population of Asari and Salarians are now beginning to call Everest home as the colony's search for well-educated young minds with potential has attracted the attention of such types. Along with the planet's already known cultural open-mindedness, the city of Arcadia has begun construction of Liberty Tower near the center of its skyline and financial distract, to be a 100 floors high the building which will primarily be used for offices and corporate headquarters will serve as a symbolic memorial to the sacrifices of everyone in the Galaxy who fought against the Reaper threat and in doing so ensured the freedom and life of future generations. The Tower is yet to be completed but is making steady progress as the colony's economy picks itself up.

The blue represents loyalty and the white, sincerity whilst the single star shows Lexington as a unified group of people emerging from the shield of their homeworld to stand strong.

Suitably dubbed Everest's sister planet, Lexington is the second largest planet in the Concord system, passed by Everest in that regard. The thing that Lexington is known for rivalling its sister in is its remarkable environmental similarities to Everest, with seemingly neverending forests that go on for miles, only interrupted by beautiful waterfalls, rivers and mountain formations, these simliarities even stretching into the temperature and wildlife of the planet, with temperatures that match Everest's ranging from the lowest average temperatures of -10 Degrees Celsius to the hottest average temperatures of 25 or 30 Degrees. And the wildlife especially holding an eerie presence as they were incredibly similar to the wildlife on Everest, almost to the point where one could think upon first glance that they belonged to the same family of animals. The first Human colonists landing on the planet had almost started to believe that they had never even left Everest in the first place, and they would be right to think such things as Alliance researchers soon realized, shortly after the discovery of the Synril species that had once called the system home that Everest had been the homeworld and capital of the Synril and that Lexington had been terraformed to be a near perfect replica environment wise, though of course the geography was wildly different, the conditions and life were mostly the same. Though thousands of years of seperation had inevitably created slight variations in Lexington's life when compared to Everest's. It is orbited by a single moon by the name of Bismarck.

At the time of discovery, this had been one of the largest announcements to have been made to Humanity second only in this regard to the discovery of the Prothean archives on Mars and subsequent discoveries left behind by the Protheans and their Empire. But as the years went on, the Synril's history lost its charm across the mainstream media and public and soon only became the obsession of wannabe treasure hunters and archeologists who were determined to make a name for themselves among the scientific community by discovering a particularly useful piece of technology or information. Even the Systems Alliance itself soon put more funding and attention towards the discovery and recovery of Prothean artifacts over Synril ones simply due to the fact that although the Synril had held some of the most refined terraforming technology in the galaxy at the peak of their civilization, the Protheans outdone them in every other category as they were the more advanced of the two species. Though that's not to say that the Synril still aren't a topic of interest among the people of Lexington and the Concord system as a whole, with entire museums dedicated to the ancient history of the system and its planets.

Aside from its similarities to Everest however and its ancient history, Lexington is also known as being the industrial and military center of Concord, whereas October is the food center, Constitution is the tourist and technological center and Everest is the jack of all trades, being highly proficient in all fields and industries as well as being the center of government. Lexington is known as being the toughest kid on the block which is ironic and one will be able to see why this is soon enough, and though its sister planet Everest is well known for its fierce independence and tendency towards firearms and private property rights, Lexington has a much more active role in Concordian military affairs and previously Alliance ones also prior to independence. Being home to numerous large Concordian military installations, these installations' purposes being to defend the massive population centers and industrial complexes that cover large areas of the planet. Lexington no doubt being the most urbanized of the four main planets with multiple sprawling metropolises dotting both its coastlines and its heartland alike, with the rural regions and smaller settlements and towns dotting the major highways and other transportation links that connect these massive cities. And though it clearly ticks off all of the requirements for being the capital planet of Concord, it isn't. And one might ponder why that is, well solely due to the fact that the founder of Everest, Captain Johnathan Mayhew had liked the look of Everest more than he had Lexington and had landed there first. A source of playful rivalry between the two planets, particularly when it comes to sports.

Out of all the worlds in Concord, Everest and Lexington grew the quickest in terms of both population and economic development much because of their very Earth-like conditions and massive immigration appeal campaigns reminiscent of the British colonial attempts to attract more workers from Great Britain during the 19th century. Much like Everest, promises of a new life among the stars were given and for the most part were fulfilled, which in turn fueled more interest and more immigration and it was a very productive and beneficial cycle which sped up the growth of both planets. And where for Everest it was more or less appeal alone, for Lexington--especially in the later years of colonization and growth it was the promise of jobs and more importantly job security. Large and powerful corporations which held the public trust for stability had set up shop on Lexington, setting up their factories and offices and bringing both workers they already had under their employ with them alongside their families and attracting an entirely new wave of people to Lexington, creating what demographic experts have dubbed the Rush Hour of '95 and this sudden influx of both corporate investment and immigration had brought Lexington up to a point where, as of the turn of the century they had only been a few short million people away from passing Everest.

And they did pass Everest in population. But not in the way that they nor anyone had wanted or even expected. The Reapers arrived.. And they did not wreak havoc and destruction upon Lexington, no. For some reason that even now military and economic experts alike struggle to explain, Lexington was spared from the destruction that lesser planets, even the tourist-pleasing Arcadia had been brought. Some propose that the Reapers did not have enough available ships to assault every world in the Concord system and Earth at the same time, but then the counter-argument became why would they choose Constitution or October over a strategic military and industrial target like Lexington? No one knew why, maybe it was a spur of the moment decision or maybe they really didn't have the number of forces required to assault the heavily defended Lexington and Earth at once, as Lexington was at the time of the Reaper War the most militarized and well-defended world in the Concord system. Some have suggested that the overall Reaper plan was to use the Husks they gained from their invasions of Everest, October and Constitution to assault Lexington with an overwhelming number of forces, and for now this seems to be the leading and most plausible theory given the immense confidence it would appear the Reapers had in their plan of wiping out the galaxy's life. But regardless of the reason, Lexington was for the most part spared. And instead of hellfire raining from the skies and millions upon millions being murdered and converted into monsters. Lexington instead was humiliated, perhaps not from a Reaper's point of view, but from a Lexan's? Absolutely.

A small Reaper destroyer had detached from the main force and had over the course of only an hour or two laid waste to much of Lexington's transportation infrastructure, both the infrastructure that allowed transportation around the planet and off of it, preventing the large Alliance garrison on the planet from providing support to the other besieged worlds in the Concord system and the largest military installations likewise were assaulted, battered just enough to not get back up but not enough to wipe out entirely. Crippling the Alliance military's capabilities of regaining the ability to leave Lexington and aid their brothers on the system's other worlds. No, Lexington was not destroyed. But it was humiliated and belittled, left to watch as their families were terrorized and killed on a massive scale across the rest of not just the Concord system but Human space as a whole. And though neither a large amount of rebuilding was required nor mourning for their own dead, Lexington still weeped for the loss of their fellow Humans across the galaxy and to this day they have never truly gotten over their inability to help their cousins across their home system in their time of need.

Liberty[c]A moon of the gas giant Ambition, Liberty was the sole already habitable moon of Concord and the impromptu capital of the 'Moon Colonies' boasting a prideful population of just over 10 million and a temperate environment, it is well known for its high standards of living, elite upper class and sizeable minority of Asari.

Bismarck[c]A moon of October with a population of around 6 million and a notoriously hill dominated planet that's largely comprised of bumpy grasslands with complex networks of rivers flowing between them and connecting to the two large oceans on either side of the moon. Largely known for its engineering industry and as being the headquarters of North-Ter Mining Corporation and BMW.

Cascadia[c]A moon of Lexington and home to near enough 5.9 million predominantly middle class people, named after its Cascadian-esque biome interrupted only by the tropical equator, Cascadia is mostly known for its many prestigous education facilities and high standard of living but also high cost.

Liaison[c]A truly beautiful moon of Constitution and a unique mix of French, Italian and Spanish culture, the moon is comparable to the southern European coastlines around the Mediterranean Sea on Earth and is more of a popular tourist destination for working and middle class families and students on their spring breaks around the galaxy but is also known for its wine and food industry, it currently has a permanent population of 7.1 million.

Lorraine[c]The second of Constitution's three moons and predominantly French-British mixed with a population of 3.2 million, the planet has a healthy relationship with its neighbor Liaison as Lorrainians regularly go on vacation to Liaison and Liaison is supplied at cheaper costs from Lorraine-based businesses and manufacturers. It's a rather boring planet besides that which largely contributes to its holiday-fanatic population.

Valkyrie[c]A moon of Ambition and a worker by trade, Valkyrie is a Scandinavian and largely high-tech industrial colony having started off originally as an unregulated mining colony, in recent decades it has been gentrified to the point of being unrecognizable and is now home to a well educated, valuable work force of 5.7 million.

Providence[c]Named after its definition of God's protection of his children except in this case the God being the Concordian nuclear stockpile hidden on the planet, this highly militarized colony of 6.5 million--comparable to the American heartland in both culture and scenery is mostly agricultural in regards to its economy.

Lincoln[c]A moon of Eric's World and currently nearing the end of its terraforming that began in 2180. This larger moon colony has a healthy population of 7 million and growing thanks to its energy industry and massive foreign investment from a joint venture between a Human and Salarian energy corporation.

Washington[c]Another moon of Eric's World and twin moon of Lincoln that is also nearing completion of terraforming. Washington is known for being a modest but successful manufacturer of firearms and armored plating for vehicles and dreadnoughts alike. Currently recieving investment from both the Alliance Navy and Cascade State Shipyards. It is currently lagging behind its brother with a population of 6.8 million.

Kozavosk[c]A moon of Ambition, Kozavosk is renowned for its freezing cold temperatures and almost uninhabitable climate, but habitable nonetheless it has been made through the hardiness of the moon's Russian population of 4.7 million who have made it their own, now being the center of a booming energy and manufacturing industry.

Alberta[c]Another moon of Ambition and home to a largely Canadian 4.6 million, this moon is a pretty mixture of mountains and valleys full of rivers and grassland which since colonization have been largely developed into very scenic towns and cities who are now also home to the industries of finance and information technology.

Hannover[c]One of many moons of Ambition and granted its name because of German heritage. This wet moon is host to a large logging and agriculture industry, but also surprisingly enough it has become a popular tourist destination for those seeking to escape civilization due to its large wet forest landscapes, the population rising and lowering on any given census between 3.9 and 4.2 million due to a constantly changing demographic and the traveler nature of Hannovans.

Port Perth[c]As the name suggests, this terraformed moon of Eric's World, smaller and far away from the other two serves as a major port and transfer station of transportation across the Concord system, being home to a sizeable population of near enough 5.3 million Australian and Kiwi blue-collar workers and their relatives who found themselves a work environment they enjoy at the many spaceports on the scenic moon.

Radiance[c]Named for its gleaming potential and now infamous nightlife, this barren moon of Ambition is well known for its massive domed cities which resemble those shown in cyberpunk films. And the living conditions for the majority of the population match, with society's undesirables who are unable to travel to the Terminus ending up here, around 6.9 million of them to be exact. A hive of corporate greed and crime alike it is not for the faint of heart.

Kennedy[c]Named not for the Everestian-born businessman but the American President of the same surname. A moon of Ambition covered in a vast, alien jungle, seperated into two halfs at the equator by a lethally hot desert, Kennedy hosts an unbreathable atmosphere for Humans but a massive logging industry, and with the discovery of what has been presumed to have been the Synril's equivelant of cattle still roaming this planet, livestock has boomed as well. The productive moon also hosting 3.1 million people.

Virginia[c]Named due to its striking resemblance to the nature of the state of West Virginia. A colony of all trades one might describe Virginia as, as it does not have any one particular stand out industry. Although it is--similarly to October known as quite a serene, humble and comforting world. Besides this its a typical green colony with suburbs and cities littering its surface of 7.3 million residents.

New Geneva[c]A largely German-speaking counterbalance to the depravity of Radiance, this moon of Ambition is known for its privately funded terraforming, one of the first of its kind. Similar to Radiance but on the other side of the spectrum, this time being more reflective of a utopian state with a high median income and low crime rate, a large healthcare industry is what this planet is known for and often the galaxy's richest and most influential will flock here when their health is threatened. Notable for a population of Salarian doctors, overall the total population being 7.6 million.

[big]
New Colonies[/big]
Colonized in the third phase of Human development in Concord, these colonies are very small and are still being developed and invested in.

Progress[c]Like Liberty, this is the unofficial capital of the 'New Colonies' due to its comparatively high level of development and population, being home to more high-end industries such as finance and high-tech industrial work. It is the center for the administration and development of the New Colonies and is home to 992,000 people.

Harmony[c]A barren moon of Poseidon. This moon is in the process of being developed into a mining and shipbuilding colony by Cascade State Shipyards and North-Ter Mining Corporation. As of now the population consists mostly of construction personnel, scientists and other manual laborers, leaving it at around 200,000.

Salute[c]A moon of Ambition and another barren rock. With a population of 860,000, Salute is the pride owner of a booming mining industry with various large corporations investing in the development of the uninhabitable moon, with plans to begin terraforming it by 2219.

Bulwark[c]One of Poseidon's moons, this moon is not barren, but is certainly not hospitable to Humanity, with periods of acid rain and an unbreathable atmosphere, shuttle flights to and from Bulwark have to be meticulously planned in advance to prevent damages. A small population of 25,000 miners live here, with their families living on either one of Bulwark's sister moons.

Sierra[c]Another of Poseidon's moons and one of Bulwark's two sister moons along with being the primary choice for the relatives of workers on Bulwark to live. Sierra may not be habitable, but it is popular for its cheap yet comfortable living conditions in the various underground towns that litter the barren moon. Around 400,000 people live and work here.

Sarah's World[c]Named after the daughter of Johnathan Mayhew and a moon of Ambition, Sarah's World is a barren rock with a frozen lake on it, suggesting that it had once been habitable and with the discovery of Synril artifacts on its surface, that it must have at one point been a candidate for terraforming. As of 2211 it boasts a population of 630,000 and has a small shipbuilding industry.

Frontier[c]Although clearly not the frontier of Human exploration anymore but still a moon of Ambition. Frontier has retained its name and a consistent population of miners, standing at around 884,000 as of now as it was one of the first 'New Colonies' to be colonized. Recently it has become a candidate for Human terraforming.

Dawn[c]A moon of Ambition, Dawn has no atmosphere to speak of and is covered completely in ice with uninhabitable temperatures. However that has not prevented an ambitious investment from the Concordian government from sparking an industrial revolution on the planet with a now major industry of geothermic energy and a population of 100,000.

Westbrook[c]Another moon of Ambition and covered completely in ice, with gigantic glaciers at near continent sizes, Westbrook has an up and coming industry of exotic fishing due to the abundance of fish underneath the surface of the moon where an ocean five times that of Earth's rests. 85,000 people live here.

Phoenix[c]One of many moons of Ambition and granted its name because of its fiery nature. This volcanic moon is a gold mine of energy and as such has attracted a large energy industry, but also it has become an exotic, thrill seeking tourist destination and a popular spot for extreme sports, a visit to Phoenix being on many adrenaline junkie's bucket lists.

Hubble[c]Named after the old Human telescope. This moon which is covered in forests, grassland and beaches of volcanic sand from previous millennia of intense volcanic activity around the coastline that surrounds a huge, singular ocean has the exact opposite problem of Kennedy, too much oxygen in the atmosphere. To the extent where masks are required for most non-native species to function when outside. A quaint farming culture has occupied Hubble which is more or less isolated from the rest of the system, a small population of just 11,500 farm here.
[big]
Ambition[/big]

A gargantuan gas giant that splits the colonies of Constitution and October from Everest and Lexington, Ambition is the impromptu stop off point for travel between the four major colonies of the system, though incidentally it is now also host to dozens of its own colonies on the many moons that surround it. With temperatures as high as 150 degrees celsius and a width of over 200,000 kilometers, it truly is a sight for sore eyes with its surprisingly pretty composure of different shades of deep blue. Though its main purpose serves more as a major source of atmospheric mining for resources such as hydrogen, Helium-3 and methane. Currently the North-Ter Mining Corporation owns the largest portion of mining equipment and ships in the orbit of Ambition, though many other similar corporations including both the Virginia Corporation and Cascade State Shipyard's smaller Mining Divisions all have their own stakes in this massive beast of a planet. The mining is conducted primarily through the use of 'Scoopers' and 'Cruisers' as they've been dubbed, these being ships of differing sizes that are specialized in the task of atmospheric mining, gathering the resources required before taking them to their corporation's designated transfer station, of which there are several in orbit around the gas giant, each belonging to a different corporation but with one belonging to the Concordian government, this one allowing smaller, independent businesses to use its advanced equipment to further their business which would normally be far too expensive for them. Preventing a monopoly from being formed over atmospheric mining in the system.

[big]Eric's World[/big]

An uninhabitable world to say the least, Eric's World, named after its discoverer, Eric Strassberg has much more in common with a planet like Venus than it does any of the other planets in its own system. With the average temperature going at about 637 Celsius and the atmosphere being primarily made up of almost nothing but carbon dioxide, with only minor traces of nitrogen and sulfuric acid to go along with it, Eric's World has persistently won the 'Shittiest Planet of Concord' award every year since that award became a thing as a joke on the Extranet. The only saving grace of this planet being that it has three moons which have proved useful for colonization and habitation even if they were not originally so. However, like the rest of this deeply intriguing system, it is not without its own trivia as after numerous probe missions to the surface, it is believed that the planet was a failed terraforming experiment by an early Synbil civilization before their apparent enlightenment. Though at the same time it is not as if the planet was a utopia prior to this failed attempt at change, as it was most likely--the current theory states just another barren rock. Though at least now Eric's World does serve some purpose, it is the designated garbage bag of the Concord system where useless junk is dumped to burn up and melt away in the planet's toxic atmosphere, with only the larger and more durable items such as useless ships surviving the fall. Which brings up the topic of crime, Eric's World is also as much of a public utility, a utility for criminals, a world where dead bodies are thrown into and evidence that paranoid mobsters and terrorists can't even risk being found in the vastness of space is disposed of due to an otherwise complete lack of interest in the now probed world.

[big]
Weiss[/big]

The planet furthest from Concord's star and neighbor to Lexington, the second furthest planet from Concord's star. Weiss would be considered by some to be the polar opposite of Eric's World given its vastly lower temperature and environment, which surpasses temperatures that even modern technology can allow Humans and other sapient species to traverse. With no atmosphere to speak of and essentially zero heat being supplied to this cold, cold planet it's surface is entirely covered in ice, so cold to the point that not even snow has formed with temperatures dropping as low as -210 Celsius. And though at first it had been assumed that there was the possibility of underground sources of water that were left unsolidified or cave systems or anywhere where there could be some form of bacterial life like there had been found on so many worlds before, there was no such luck here the moment the temperature was accurately recorded. And unlike even Eric's World there is little else to say about this white floating rock, it has eighteen moons but none of which have been colonized yet, though some have been explored and stepped on by a certain curious few and again unlike its hotter counterpart, Eric's World, Weiss appears to not have even been touched by the ancient Synril civilization, further showing its uselessness as a planet and a resource. The sole piece of trivia about this particular planet being that the CDF currently has an orbital station positioned in its orbit, but the information on this post is not available to the public and its specific mission is unknown.

[big]Poseidon[/big]

The second great gas giant of Concord, Poseidon gained its name from both its color and its nature not as a regular gas giant, but as a cold gas giant or what is more commonly known as a cold giant similar to Neptune or Uranus for Sol-based examples. Smaller than its older sibling, Ambition. Poseidon has a far less busy orbit than Ambition, due to a lack of colonized moons surrounding it, though in the field of uncolonized moons Poseidon boasts a prideful but comparatively modest number of 12, a great amount lower than Ambition but a relatively ordinary number when it comes to ice giants around the galaxy. With an atmosphere composed primarily of elements heavier than helium and hydrogen such as carbon, oxygen and nitrogen and though abundant in what we would know as water and ice, very little of these actually remain in those states, instead primarily existing as forms of supercritical fluids due to the high pressure of the planet which has proved useful for the planet as it has seen a steady increase in its own mining which although not at the same level of intensity as its bigger sibling, is healthy enough. The process of mining these supercritial fluids which are then most commonly used as substitutes organic solvents in scientific processes. Currently the only other activity that exists around Poseidon is the presence of classified government facilities on its moons, but as the word classified implies, these are not known to the public.

[big]
Balance[/big]

Named after the color of its surface, purple which is often seen as a combination of the calmness of blue and the fierceness of red. Balance can be argued to be the planet in Concord that although entirely barren and without an atmosphere, has the most potential for the future as it is a major candidate for both terraforming and colonization, with the only persisent obstacle to this having been budget limitations on the part of the government which has certainly passed its hayday of widespread expansion, settlement and development and is now more focused on ironically 'balancing' its economy than it is on developing and colonizing the rest of the Concord system. As mentioned before, Balance is indeed a barren world with no life to speak of, though like many of the other planets and moons in the system it does have an interesting history and relationship with those that had inhabited the system long before Humanity, with a number of ancient ruins and large, artifically created craters dotting the planet's landscape. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this planet had presumably been one of the most badly hit when the Synril's enemies devestated the system. Though both Alliance, corporate and Concordian researchers are yet to find any indication that this planet had once sustained life of its own making or had been habitable or terraformed at all. Begging the question why Balance was not made habitable like the other worlds of the system. A common theory being that Balance was already a very densely developed and colonized planet before the Synril gained access to their ability to terraform. Lacking any moons to speak of and with an average temperature of upwards of 90 degrees Celsius, Balance's primary function in the system is a vista and nothing much else. A pit stop for those travelling across the system. And a number of civilian orbital stations surround the planet for this purpose exactly.

With the males standing at around two meters tall on average, the females at 1.5 meters and even the children at a meter or so tall. These large but harmless animals are a staple of Concordian wildlife, being found on Everest, October and Lexington. These alien-but familiar animals were the result of genetic engineering to create a subset of Deer that were more resistant to some of the natural threats to their safety that the then-newly discovered environments of these three planets provided, having thicker and more durable bones and skin than their Earth counterparts a roundnoses as is their namesake to much more easily reach some of the native Concordian flora that they require to survive. They are a popular species of animal across Human space that much is for sure, and are often hunted for both sport and substinance by those living in rural regions, with the laws protecting animal life being less strict when it comes to these large animals due to the incredibly high number of them that there are, breeding incredibly quick for their size, they prove a sustainable source of food and profit for not just small, isolated Human towns but for the survival of many predator species as well, which depend on the large number of these animals for their own species' sake. Much of the ecosystem now revolves around this species to the extent that it has become a worrying matter to those in government as the idea of what would happen if these animals were suddenly removed from the ecosystem is a terribly frightening one. Plans to introduce more genetically made animals to the environment already being put into place as of 2211.

[big]Great Ekels[/big]

A truly alien animal not created by Human hands, this large, dangerous beast is native only to Everest and has proved a consistent nuissance to Human colonists ever since the planet was settled decades ago. Though its numbers have decreased a good deal due to Human hunting, they breed much faster than most would prefer and are a very effective counter balance to Human attempts to populate the ecosystem with some wildlife of their own. Standing at nearly the same height as a female Roundnose Deer, these intimidatingly large animals are very amphibian like in nature, with their habitat being that of shallow, muggy water and humid temperatures, these swamp like areas typically being around the equator of Everest and not really anywhere else. Baring a resemblance to toads, this meat-eating animal's name comes from the German word for toad, which can also be used to describe disgust, distaste and revulsion, with the Great part coming from its size alone. Though posing little threat to Humans when outside of its territory, Great Ekels will attack Humans in specific areas as they are fiercely territorial animals, often discouraging visitors from approaching swamp like areas just in-case there is a Great Ekel about, though this exception is only on Humans as Great Ekels will attack practically any other animal on Everest regardless of whether or not the animal in question has encroached on its territory.

[big]
Concordian Oaks[/big]

Much like the rest of Everest and Lexington's similiarities to both each other and Earth, these trees are present on both worlds and cover the majority of their land surfaces in seemingly never-ending, but beautiful forests. These oaks are amazingly tall trees, with the tallest of their kind even reaching as high as 110 metres tall. Being home to hundreds of bird species and smaller, insect species alike, even just one of these tall trees can be home to an entire community of dozens of different species, all working with and against one another depending on their relationship and competition. Though perhaps the most interesting point of their height is the lack of a gradual fade away of leafs as the tree gets taller, where most Earth trees begin to space their leafs out more and more the taller they get, this does not happen with Concordian Oaks, which continue having a consistent thickness of leafs no matter their height, with the thickest of forests often having very little sunlight reaching their surfaces at all due to the presence of so much covering. However most forests across Everest which boast these wonderful trees are relatively spaced out almost in a way to prevent too much competition for resources between these trees. And though there are laws protecting this species of tree from excessive logging, they are still logged in large numbers mostly to make room for urban development.

[big]
Sports[/big]

With a culture like the Concordian one and just with Human nature in-general, sports was inevitably going to become a thriving industry and passtime in the system. With the most popular of all the sports being the American variant of football, followed closely by soccer and baseball in that order. Although the sporting industry in Concord is entirely privatized and is owned primarily by wealthy individuals who have their own personal interests in the sport, the government does support it whenever it can as to promote the healthy lifestyle that comes with regular playing of the games and of course the economic benefits that come with just people watching the games themselves rather than playing them. The Concordian Football Association is the largest sporting organization in the system and as one could assume is the primary authority when it comes to the enforcement of the rules of football and the scheduling of matches, construction of stadiums and the approval of new teams that are created. Currently there are 64 CFA teams across Concord, with the CFA split into the North League and the South League respectively, the North League consisting of all colonies in-front of Ambition and the South League consisting of all colonies behind Ambition. With 32 teams in each league, each annual season starts with the Regional Matches, these matches taking place solely within the boundaries of their respective Leagues, IE a South League team will never play a North League team at this stage of the season. By the end of the first half of the season the Regional Matches will have finished, with half of the original 32 teams of each League having been knocked out, leaving just 16 teams in each League, this is where the second half of the season starts, the Interleague Matches. Where the remaining 16 teams of each League will combine into one 32-team strong 'Super League' and will play for the Concord Cup, the most envied football trophy in the system. It is estimated that the sports industry brings in around 70-90 billion credits annually with the number fluctuating from year to year depending on a variety of factors.

[big]
Culture & Demographics[/big]

Unity in the Concord system has not just come about solely because of the devestation wrought by the Reaper War and the mutual distaste towards the Systems Alliance for their part in the near-hopeless situation that the worlds of Concord had faced in this time as some might suspect. But rather been a build up and almost persistent feature since the very beginning of the system's colonization, and this is largely due to the simple reason that the status of 'being a Concordian' as a national, cultural, religious and racial identity has remained largely homogenous even when excluding the other races of the Milky Way. With the primarily caucasian Western European and North American populations of Everest spreading to the surrounding planets and with it their culture and religions, with the dominance of Athiesm and Christianity as the two largest beliefs in the Concord system with most other faiths, both human and alien alike barely making up two percent of the following in Concord although within that small fraction, the smaller Human faiths in Concord and the recently arrived Asari ones have stood off against one another, leading to some tensions across the system, though nothing serious yet. This homogenity in Concordian identity too spreads to languages, as was before mentioned as part of the cultural influence as English, French and German are the three primary languages of the system, the majority of Concordians speaking English as their first language with German in second and French at third. With the stereotypical Concordian accent, and funnily enough the most common accent to be found throughout Concord is differing variations of the Earth American accent.

Concordian culture is--as mentioned in the paragraph above a sort of unique mish-mash of distinctly western cultures, primarily those of the West of Europe, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland and even regions of Portugal and Spain. Along with the possibly largest of the bunch, the heartland American culture which as of now is somewhat seen as the stereotypical Concordian identity to those outsiders who aren't fully informed of the people and their system. Now this isn't to imply that the majority of Concordians are by any means conservative, though a large chunk of them are, there is a rather definitive split between the conservative and liberal elements of society, following traditional routes of liberal populations inhabiting the urban centers and the conservative populations inhabiting the rural regions and this is most often shown in the voting patterns of certain regions across Concord every Presidential Election and Mid-Term election, though not entirely conservative, Concordian culture has more fortunately inherited the better aspects of that side of society, and by that, Concord's hard working, can do, DIY attitude is implied which is just as much of a reason for the split between Concordians and the rest of Humanity occupying the Systems Alliance as much as the Reaper War and their differences in demographic makeup, with the Alliance being far more multicultural than Everest, leading to a disconnect between the two as this was but one of many reasons why seperate identities were developed. As of 2211, the Concord system has a population of 468,781,737.

[big]
The Economy[/big]

With less government oversight and intervention in the economy than most other systems in the Alliance, Concord is known throughout inner Human space for its almost entirely free market with rare exceptions such as environmental laws and small business protection breaking that very persistent pattern. And though badly damaged by the Reaper War, the economy has been on the upturn recently with the prospects of independence finally being achieved attracting all kinds of new corporate investment due to both the idea itself of independence and not just that but a new wave of political stability in the Concordian government as a result of the Reaper War and of course the current, unifying goal of independence which has stopped political in-fighting for the majority in its tracks, at least for the time being. Worth trillions of credits, and though insignificant compared to the powers of the galaxy that be, the Concordian economy is a healthy and productive one with a strong shipbuilding industry and tradition at its heart, with other industries close to the chest being agriculture, mining, technology, arms manufacturing and energy production. The economy is a primarily industrial one though in recent years has begun tilting towards a more specialized and advanced side, particularly on Constitution which has embraced financial services, information technology and computing all as some of its now largest industries and economic growth triggers.

The four main planets and colonies of Concord all maintain the largest economies and workforces as one would expect and produce the majority of the system's GDP, but that should not allow one to forget the contribution that the so-called New Colonies that are scattered across the many, many moons of Concord and make up the majority of colonized celestial bodies in the system make. Though nowhere near as developed as the four main planets, these small and bustling colonies each have their own quirks and specialities that prove beneficial to the greater system wide economy as a whole. And though the majority of them are remaining in the more industrial side of the economy, with the primary industries being those of mining and energy production, some, such as Liberty and New Geneva for example have strayed away from the norm immensely and have entered an entirely new field of expertise which they can now call their own. With Liberty being a center of some of the best educational facilities to be found anywhere and a luxury colony where some of the galaxy's richest can flee to without having to worry about the issues that they face on a daily basis. And New Geneva similarly becoming one of the galaxy's most appealing colonies for the elite and influential classes of society with its state-of-the-art medical innovation and technology, attracting large numbers of Salarian medical professionals who thrive in the environment of learning and scientific progressivism. It is clear that the New Colonies, although small in size, more than make up for this in other regards.

[big]
Politics[/big]

Operating differently to the unitary state that is the Systems Alliance, the Concordian government is based off of the model of a federal republic, with the federal government based on Everest having considerably less power over the laws of the other worlds in Concord than the Systems Alliance government does over the systems that it controls. In this system of government, each colony in the system is recognized as its own state with its own regional laws that can be voted for and changed by Colonial Congresses which the people of these worlds elect, however there are a considerable number of federal laws which the government on Everest is in control of which the states of Concord cannot decide on. Such as foreign policy, in this case the campaign to pursue independence, interaction with the Systems Alliance and other powers in the Milky Way, military affairs and the system economy. However, these policies are voted on by a House of Representatives and a House of the Senate which make up the legislative branch of the federal Concordian government and are comprised of officials elected by the people of their worlds and officials elected by people on Everest, ensuring that every territory on the system has its voice heard. However seats in the House of Representatives are distributed by population, as such, the four main worlds hold the majority of the power in Congress. Though this is balanced in the Senate, in which each planet regardless of population recieves 5 Senators each.

The Concordian government maintains three distinct branches, each holding seperate chains of command from one another as to prevent any one branch from having more power than the others, and thus promoting political stability and democracy. These branches include the Executive Branch in which the President and Vice Presidents and their advisors operate in, the Judicial Branch in which the various tiers of courts across the system operate in, with the lowest being Regional Courts and the highest being the Capitol Court based in New Philadelphia, Everest, this branch consists at its highest ranks of Capitol Judges who are elected by the President and approved by the Senate, enforces and enacts laws agreed to by the Executive Branch but first decided on and written up by the third branch, the Legislative Branch which contains Congress, which in itself is comprised of the House of Representatives and the House of the Senate which together comprise of 500 total lawmakers, 110 Senators and 390 Congressmen. The House of Representatives being the one in-charge of writing up legislation which is often done by splitting the members of the House up into several distinct committees, such as the Economic Congressional Committee or the Defense Force Congressional Committee where Congressmen and women who specialize in these areas either from personal experience or their former careers are elected by their peers to chair and run these committees. The House of the Senate on the other hand is in-charge of the approval of propositions made by the Executive Branch, IE the President and Vice President, both of which are not allowed to make propositions to the House of Representatives, but vice versa, though the President is unable to deny a proposition from the House of Representatives if it has been voted in favor for.

As such the Senate once more plays a balancing role in this, allowing the President to pass executive orders, in other words the Senate is what gives the President power, without the consent of the Senate the President is essentially powerless which is why prior to an election season, the parties will often attempt to take the Senate in the Mid-term elections so that if their opponent wins the Presidential election they are more or less handicapped from the get-go, and if their own candidate wins then they have the ability to ensure all of their promises are fulfilled by passing the laws their electorate favors and thus winning them public opinion. The Senate is also responsible for the questioning of federal and state-level officials who have been accused or downright caught breaking the law or engaging in corruption. As such, the Senate imposes much stricter background checks on would-be Senators and both Senators and Congressmen make large sums of money in their wages to lessen the temptation of any possible bribe attempts. These high wages also act as a method of allowing participation in the political process from anyone, even the average person on the street as they do not need their own financial support to start a career in politics. Ensuring that the Legislative Branch is run by the Concordian people and not the elite of society.

Presidential elections take place every four years and are long, almost tedious processes as political advertisements take up both Extranet and TV broadcasts and constant political rallies run amok across the entirety of Concord. Opposite of the Systems Alliance, people in Concord vote for both the party and the leader of the party, rather than just the party which then elects the leader itself. Which can sometimes lead to complicated political situations, with parties sometimes disliking their leaders and vice versa. However it is a system that has fulfilled its purpose and maintained both a strong sense of identity and semi-independence in Concord and political stability and economic growth. Currently there are three major parties in the Concordian political system, the Concordian Libertarian Party, the Federal Party of Concord and the United Concord Party with the UCP currently having a majority in both Houses and the President, second to the UCP is the Concordian Libertarian Party, followed by the FPC which has in recent years begun gaining ground much to the expense of the CLP.

[big]The Military[/big]

From what one has been told about Everest, its culture and the culture of the system it has colonized over decades. One might expect that their enthusasism towards all matters military would be great, and one would be correct in that assumption as Concord had been the only system in the Alliance to maintain its own independent military force. Standing at around 5 million strong, the Concord Defense Force, now the United Concordian Armed Forces is the primary military organization of the Concord system, taking over many of the functions that the Systems Alliance had been in-charge of after the Reaper War and a sudden outcry of independence and self-reliance had been recieved by the Concordian government from their people, this sentiment even being shared by many members of government as well, which immediately pushed for a massive military build up and increase in defense spending, resulting in the CDF being established at the start of 2202 and an unprecedented military build up by a single system in the span of a decade, with Cascade State Shipyards possibly being the corporation to benefit the most from this pro-military sentiment. Though severely lacking in numbers when compared to the superpowers of the galaxy, with the Alliance Marine Corps alone nearly having a personnel number larger than the entire population of the Concord system, the Concordians make up for this in their training, with some having compared it to near special forces level and making ex-Concordian Rangers as their infantry are dubbed some of the most valuable guns for hire after their career has ended. However it is not just with their high level of training that they attempt to make up for the laughable disadvantage of numbers that they possess, but equipment too. The Department of System Defense, the newest government agency out of all of those that exist and which was formed solely for the purpose of administrating the UCAF, had pushed for contracts from all across the Concord system for the most effective weaponry, vehicles and armor that they could supply their troops with, and many applied.

In the end, Arcadia Armories and Thorn Transport Dynamics had won the contract. And wasted little time in manufacturing their newest products en-masse to begin being distributed to the rapidly increasing number of military personnel that were in need of their equipment, as immediately post Reaper War, homelessness and unemployment had reached peak levels never before seen in the system, and that added to the intense hatred and restlessness that many Concordians were feeling made for lines at recruiting stations that stretched around the block. As such, and almost in a similar state to that of the Turian Hierarchy's own military, the UCAF quickly became less of a military force so to speak and more of a civil service, providing employment and purpose to millions of angry people that had undoubtedly lost at least one loved one and not just that, but the Defense Corps of Engineers had been one of the largest construction firms in the rebuilding of the system, participating largely in the reconstruction of public utilities and infrastructure such as transportation networks, water and power connections and even the Extranet and other communications systems.

In regards to how the military is organized, the Department of System Defense is--as mentioned before the civilian government agency in-control of the Armed Forces, all branches of the military are subordinate to the Department, which in turn is led by the Secretary of System Defense, who is apart of the President's Cabinet and chosen by the President specifically and later reviewed and approved by the Senate. This ensures that the civilian government will always be in control instead of the military, this being part of the laws to protect democracy in the system. The UCAF is made up of four branches, the United Concordian Army, the United Concordian Navy, the United Concordian System Guard and the United Concordian Marine Corps which similarly to its Alliance counterpart is not a branch of the Department of the Navy but rather its own seperate Department and branch entirely, though still utilizing and working closely with the Navy for the purposes of transporting their troops to where they are needed. The Army is is the largest in terms of personnel, unlike the Marine Corps they have their own fleet of transport vessels in which they use to move between planets and even systems if the need is there although they do require the Navy for defending these transport vessels. As for the UCAF's Area of Operations, or AO for short, this is restricted largely to the Concord system as that is their and their government's jurisdiction, though they do sometimes travel beyond the system to train with their Alliance and Citadel counterparts from time to time. Ironically, though their governments are somewhat frosty to one another, the UCAF and Alliance military have a rather friendly relationship with one another.

This relationship extending to the cooperative use of Alliance MAC guns as part of the Orbital Defense Iniative set up by the Concordian government after the Reaper War to provide a better defense, along with the United Concordian Navy to the planets of Concord. With these massive orbital guns being crewed by Concordian naval personnel who are overseen by Alliance officers for security purposes. In return, Cascade State Shipyards devotes a larger number of their shipyards to the construction of Alliance Navy vessels.

[big]Description:[/big]

Description:
The M604 Bulwark was a concept and now vehicle born from the CDF's desire to have armored fighting vehicles which would not provoke an overly negative response from the Systems Alliance, as such the idea was concieved to have a vehicle designated as an IFV which was also a multi-role vehicle in nature, at the time this appeared to be a monumental task due to the amount of restrictions in place, however Thorn Transport Dynamics were given the contract after their given design sheet to the CDF was accepted as the most efficient and practical way to go about the development and construction of this concept vehicle. The M604 Bulwark as it was called went through a rigorous amount of tests over the course of it's many different design and development stages from 2202 all the way up till 2204 where it was tested on the uninhabited and barren moons of Ambition to ensure that it could handle any environment.

With the first field ready model produced in the autumn of 2205, the M604 Bulwark was quickly cleared for widescale production. Though obviously not in the same numbers as the smaller vehicles of the CDF were a rather sizeable part of the Force's budget was put into producing these cost-effective and deadly vehicles that now act as one of the most important components of the Defense Force's ground capabilities, managing to transport troops across any potential battlefields whilst protecting both themselves and providing sufficient offensive operations with their anti-armor and air missiles. There is also a modified version of the vehicle which can serve as a mobile command center if needed. The M604 Bulwark has also been modified with non-lethal weaponry by Thorn Transport Dynamics and sold to police forces across the Concord system with examples such as water canons and tear-gas mortars for crowd control and riot response however the military variant of the Bulwark remains solely in the hands of the UCAF.

Description:
Commissioned in 2204 as part of the colonial government of Concord's plan to design and build up it's own defensive military force, the UC-6 Grayhawk as it is now known as begun it's life as Project: Effective, it was given this name as the purpose of the Grayhawk was to be a cost-effective and easy to produce transport gunship in-order to make the most use out of the CDF's still fledgling budget at the time and even today it is still seen as a much cheaper and easier to produce way of getting troops around and subsequently providing air support for said troops compared to it's bigger brother the CS-58 Forest. Sikorsky Aircraft had been the lucky one to get the contract however like the CS-58, the UC-6's engines were developed and manufactured by General Electric, who had their headquarters on Lexington.

Development on Project: Effective finished up during the spring of 2206 when the first fully-developed model of the UC-6 was constructed and shown to CDF officials where it was then given field testing and numerous inspections, it impressed them however multiple additions and deductions were made to the aircraft before it's final model was rolled out a year and a half later in 2207. This was the definitive version of the CS-6 Grayhawk, which was given it's name due to the distinct gray coloring of the armor plating it was equipped with. However this was only in it's factory-made state as the EDF has since adopted a dark green coloring to the aircraft similar to the CS-58 Forest gunships. It is now produced in great numbers annually and has been deployed all across the Concord system with both the U.C. Army and Marine Corps. In 2210 the aircraft was bought in large numbers by the Systems Alliance Marine Corps with plans to eventually replace the A-61
