9[color=red]Rhye[/color] wins, and thus earns the role of the spokesperson for the time being. "[color=red]Calling it a hunt implies that we're actively hunting. What we're doing now is more akin to fishing really.[/color]" She answers the slaver, descending from the ceiling as she does so, manifesting a construct of ethereal energies to act as a throne that would put the most decadent mortal and material displays to shame.

11[14:34] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] nods slowly and smiles. "Understandable, power always attracts people like a moth to the flame...", she said with slight jealousy and chuckled. "Most wish to bask in it, try to obtain some for herself, other get blinded by it and feel protected by it." folding her hands behind her head she sighed. "But the problem with power is that it attracts all kinds of attention, good and bad, I mean there is nothing as annoying as those self-righteous "Heroes" that believe they have to force everyone to share their power...", she said with a snort.

14The apparent dragon-girl can't help but giggle at Kasa's answer, as well as that jealousy, which she could all but taste with her powers, given the way she could feed on emotions, particularly strong ones. The young woman's lust for power was a delicious little appetizer that she could slowly savour for a long time. "[color=red]Really now? I find heroes amusing myself, and I can respect those that are genuinely heroic. The ones who really hold on to their ideals even in the face of the impossible, even in the face of certain death. Of course... most just break. I haven't had the chance to meet any myself, yet, but my father told me so many delightful stories, you see.[/color]"

16[14:45] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] chuckled and looked at Ryhe, she wasn´t still sure what exactly the both of them were and even though she had checked her sources it was still vague. Their names appeared in some books and some even whispered their names but in the end, there was nothing substantial. "Yes, some heroes tend to be rather...stubborn and I can understand them as well, they see the world as a place with possibilities and want it to flourish into its true potential but from what I have seen they always fail or stop doing it.", she said as she remembered the last hero that entered her compound to free the slaves and her sister. The look on her face when she saw her sister in a maid outfit begging her to leave her there was priceless... how her face distorted in horror, how she begged her to snap out of it...Ahhh, that was a good day..." But humans have their limits, I mean there is always a higher power behind those humans that are successful heroes, something divine, something that pushed them to their goal...but in the end, they are still slaves to that being so I find it hilarious when they call me evil...  True power, is supposed to free oneself from their shackles...not put extra ones on oneself."

I only really understand my goals, and power, beyond that, it's all just standards, words and concepts made by those who want to make sense of the world.[/color]" The young goddess commented, her lips curling into a small smile at Kasa's words. "[color=red]I wouldn't underestimate mortals if I were you though, even we gods cannot afford to do that. Only the truly arrogant ignores possibilities... and mortals have slain even gods before, usurping their power. It's harder for you, who sees so little at once, to perceive it... but we who have seen through the multiverse know that things are not quite so simple.[/color]" Her smile turned into a grin that was slightly frightening in some ways. "[color=red]Kasa, even humans can become gods, but only if they have the will to transcend their humanity, to overcome their mortal nature, and to awaken themselves to the true nature of their immortal souls. Some can do it on their own. Some need a patron to help them along, but it's definitely possible, for heroes and villains alike.[/color]"

21[14:57] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] listened to her words and nodded. "Yes, humans can become more powerful and that is what I am looking for, I have been studying it from the moment I was free... The feeling of being powerless is one thing but knowing that there is that power... That is what is the most frustrating thing. I mean if I knew that humans were weak and always stay that way it would be easy to accept one's role in life but knowing that there are powerful individuals among them, how did they obtain that power? What did they have to sacrifice for it?", she asked herself as she stared into the distance. " promised myself to never be weak again, therefore I captured all kind of mortals, enslaved them, forced them to either become strong or serve me...And yet I haven´t found a method...And there is nothing that I am more afraid of then realizing that I have reached my limit."

24Rhye's smile became positively predatory then. "[color=red]Perhaps you HAVE reached your limits... but just because you can't break them... doesn't mean that someone else might not be able too~[/color]" The implications behind those word was likely frightening in many ways. "[color=red]Normally, it's my other half that does the pacts and who offers deals... but Kasa, your desire for power reminds me of my eternal hunger. There is power in the synergy between Concepts. As such, how about a deal? I don't necessarily need cultists or worshippers, even if I won't turn them away if they come to me. I don't need champions, though I may make use of them if they give themselves to me. However, I do like deals and pacts. You who hunts and enslaves people for money, well, perhaps you wouldn't be opposed to doing that for other things as well?[/color]" That grin on the young girl's face smoothed out then, before it could take on any more unsettling qualities. "[color=red]You don't have to decide right away. We should trade the normal way first. My money for your services, so you can see for yourself that I deliver on what's asked of me. So how about it? Will you trade with a Goddess?[/color]"

26[15:12] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] felt a chill run down her spins and even forgot to breathe as Ryhe smiled at her. That wasn´t a friendly smile you gave a friend, it looked like a smile a kid would have when they found a new thing to torment for fun. Kasa listened carefully and tried to make sense out of her words, could she break her limits? Was it possible? pacts and deals with higher beings were always risky but Kasa was a businesswoman foremost and suddenly her mouth turned into a smile as she leaned forward. "I must admit you have peaked my interests, if you are curious about my service and good I would like to invite you to my estate, there you can see with your own eyes what I am doing...", she said as she folded her hands in front of her face. "I am always interested in expanding my business and for that partners are needed."

29Rhye disappeared, along with that overly blinged up esoteric throne she'd created just for shits and giggles, literally. The Void of the Goddess reappeared right next to Kasa, some might say uncomfortably close, all things considered. "[color=red]Oh? I take it you don't lug around an extensive list with you? Well, I don't mind coming along. You just need to let me know where it is and when to come. I could pluck the knowledge out of your mind, but that's a bit rude for polite company.[/color]" Now that her power was reigned in, Rhye looked positively harmless, or as harmless as an apparent dragon-girl ever got, but she certainly didn't seem menacing. Yet one couldn't forget that she'd done things like casually transporting herself from one place to another, not so much teleporting, as she'd re-written reality to acknowledge that her position was next to Kasa. It almost felt as if she'd been sitting there right from the beginning.

31[15:30] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] flinched surprised and looked at Ryhe that appeared next to her, she could feel her heartbeat all the way up to her throat and needed several deep breaths to compose herself.  It was weird though as she tried to process the event she somehow felt calm, yes she wasn´t there before, somehow it seemed natural now for her to be here. The more she thought about it the more she was asking herself if she was there from the start. "I carry a list with me all the time but I rather think it is better to show the quality of the product first hand then just telling my customers about it. I mean I could tell you as they are perfect but I am not a fan of telling without showing.", she said as she pulled out a scroll from her bag and opened it in front of Ryhe to show where her compound was.

33It was weird, yes her compound was located at the edge of the empire but there was also something about that place. Kasa had bought the land for a high price of money for a good reason since there was a construction underneath the mansion, a gate of some sort. Kasa wasn´t sure what it was but she had a feeling that it was powerful and if there was one thing that Kasa always felt drawn towards it was power.  The construction underneath her mansion was older than the empire itself, build by mortals to contain something powerful, Kasa wasn´t aware what exactly it was but whenever she opened those doors she walked down a set of stairs that seemed to go into a dark infinite place. She herself didn´t dare to go down that path but had sent many slaves into it from which no one ever returned. Ryhe, as a goddess might have heard of the place, it was a cage for an eldritch beast that was never used, it was built by the former culture that descended the empire in hope to contain the monstrosity, which was something which Kasa wasn´t aware of.

36Rhye was not all knowing, though she definitely knew a lot more than someone of her apparent age would ever know. Instincts and memories inherited from her parents, combined with her ability to project her sight into the future, meant that she always had far more knowledge than any mortal could ever dream off. Even so, she couldn't really predict the future with true accuracy. Time was not a river for her, it was an endless branching mess of possibilities that she could gaze into and interpret, sometimes well, sometimes not so well. This was why the young goddess saw dozens of potential variations of her visit to Kasa's mansion... but she immediately honed in on the constant there, the gate... and what lay beyond it. "[color=red]Dear me. Your home is definitely an interesting one, one with far more possibilities than even you realize.[/color]" The young goddess commented. "[color=red]I have to ask, what do you want to do with that thing beneath your mansion...? I'll give you a freebie and mention that feeding it is probably not a good idea you know... and that's exactly what you're doing each time you send a slave to it.[/color]" Of course, Rhye didn't NEED to say anything about what she'd seen through time, what she'd sensed, to say nothing of potential possible futures... but she chose to do so because it was a way to showcase her power, and the possibilities she offered, a way to get Kasa thinking.

38In her eyes, the young woman had quite a bit of potential worth. After all, a dedicated slaver could be priceless for a goddess that loved eating people, or using them as breeding stock as her other half was wont to do. "[color=red]Regardless, that's your business, for now. When should I come over? Do you want to have time to prepare to show off?[/color]"

40[15:51] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] looked at her surprised and she could feel that Kasa was kind of shocked. That construction was one of her most well-kept secrets and she hadn´t told anyone about it, even those who were shown it were silenced by her and yet Ryhe mentioned it so casually... Taking a deep breath Kasa rolled the map back into a roll and put it into her bag. There was no sense of discussing that, if she knew about that gate she might be able to question her later but her knowing about it made Kasa more cautious. She composed herself and tried to brush away to insecure thoughts and smiled. "Anytime, I may need to take my carriage in order to get to my mansion but you can visit me anytime. Time is something precious to me, therefore, I have made sure that my products are always ready to be displayed at the shortest notice.", she said confidently. Yes, it wouldn´t take long, the normal slaves were already being displayed in the compound, living in their shacks and only leaving them when ordered or when it was time to train them, while the magical beings needed some preparing, deactivating the traps, making sure they wouldn´t go berserk, those kinds of things but over the years she had grown very efficient when displaying her goods. "If you wish we can go right away," she said with confidence.

43Rhye gave that unsettling grin of hers for a moment when Kasa showcased her surprise, but she didn't comment on it in any way. She could have said a lot of things, but obviously chose not too. "[color=red]I have time now, if you have as well, so in my case at least, there's no time like the present... and who knows what else the future may bring. I can even speed things up for us, if you'd like. Just take my hand, and I can take us both right to your home's doorstep. My other half may stay here... or perhaps she'll follow us as well, depends on what we decide to do.[/color]" The goddess said, extending her right hand in obvious invitation. It'd be a shame to not show off for the rest of the castle if something interesting or amusing happened, but such was life when it came to business, sometimes, you just had to go to the other person's base of operations to get things done.

45[16:12] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] took her hand and immediately she felt a pulling sensation towards Ryhe, this was no regular teleportation, it felt not like she was moving, it felt more like the world was moving around them and the next moment they suddenly stood in front of the mansion. It was huge, luxurious, high walls surrounding it, a garden filled with greenery and statues that were positioned next to the path leading towards the main door of the mansion. Kasa looked around confused as did the two human guards who suddenly jumped up and held their spears towards them before realizing who they were aiming them towards. [color=blue]Lady Alderyn? Is that you?[/color] one of them asked shocked putting the spear quickly aside as he looked at Ryhe confused.

47It took some seconds for Kasa to gain her orientation but as she heard the voice of the guard she nodded. "Yes, I have brought a guest...", she said with a strict tone of voice and looked more composed as she gave the guard a stern look. "I do not wish to be disturbed as long as I am conducting business..." and immediately turned to the main door and pushed it open. As they entered the foyer, a[url=https://imgur.com/c3Z9YoS] girl in a maid outfit[/url] hurried down the stairs looking flustered as she stopped right in front of them and bowed. [color=cyan]My lady, I...I didn't expect you to be here so soon, what...and you brought a guest? Is...Is there anything I can do to serve?[/color], she asked with a hesitant voice as she looked at Ryhe trying to avert her gaze. "Yes, Soza, my dear. Tell Kashera and Alice to meet me at the compound and make sure that the goods are ready to be displayed...", she said with a smile as she saw her favorite little maid bow. [color=cyan]All of them, my lady?[/color], she asked and Kasa nodded "Yes, all of them...Soza", she replied and watched her run towards the back door quickly. "That was Soza, she was once a hero of the empire, honorable, determined and a master of the arcane arts. One day she wanted to free the slaves and challenged me in the middle of the night, she was powerful but sometimes quantity beats quality and after that, I was able to apprehend her. After months of re-education, I was finally able to make her understand her true place in the world...", she explained to Ryhe with a certain pride as she slowly followed the way Soza had run off too.

49Ryhe could see her past and indeed, Soza was once a proud hero, the pride of the empire, a rightous fighter for good and honor but now all those thoughts had been shattered, her mind resembled a broken colored window as if someone had shattered it into tiny pieces and reassembled it in a different way, the cracks were visible and yet firmly attached to each other. She could remember her past, she remembered what she used to be but with a mixture of fear and pride she had forsaken her path and longed to be Kasa´s personal maid.

52Rhye was nowhere near as disoriented when she arrived at their destination, obviously, this was the kind of thing she did rather regularly, and it didn't phase her in the least. No, the young goddess took the time to examine her surroundings as she arrived, now that she could perceive them with the full extent of her senses. She ignored the mortal guards as if they weren't even there, their weapons had as much of a chance of hurting her as they had the chance of surviving for any longer than around one hundred years or so without the aid of magic. Instead, her eyes wandered, taking in the sights, and understanding that this too was a way for Kasa to showcase her power, to feed her pride. It said a lot about the woman, probably more than she realized she did, but that too didn't really matter right then and there. After all, she was exactly what Rhye needed, a mortal who cared little for anything or anyone except herself and those things she considered important, and who wouldn't hesitate to sell out others for her own gain.

54The proof of that greeted them right at the door, and while it was difficult for Rhye to channel her other half's powers through her body, she could still manage enough to gain more than a bit of information on the broken young woman in front of her. It caused her lips to curl up in the kind of amusing, mocking smile that no normal child could ever show. "[color=red]Powerful? No. She was weak like most are. After all, she broke in the end, did she not? Only those that do not break, no matter what they're subjected too, can claim to truly be powerful. Anything else can be gained in time, but if you lack the will to maintain your own freedom and ideals, then no amount of power will save you.[/color]" There was a bit of a mocking lilt to her voice as she watched the maid leave while walking in step next to Kasa. "[color=red]Still, she is but mortal. While the potential for greatness exists in all immortal souls, it's just a spark that many fail to nurture.[/color]" She turned her head to look at the power hungry slaver as they walked, and her expression once more smoothed out into something less threatening. "[color=red]Keep in mind Kasa. I can offer you a lot of things, but if your will is not strong enough...[/color]" She gestured in the direction Soza ran off too. "[color=red]Who's to say that you won't be like her for another that's more powerful than you?
55 Who's to say that another god or beast or who knows what with great power won't catch you, and subject you to their whims until your mind shatters like glass, or melts like super-heated metal, and then ends up reforged into whatever your captor desires?[/color]"

57It was a warning, in a sense, that Kasa would do well to heed. Power of all kinds could be gained and lost. Even one's life could be gained and lost... but none of that mattered if a difference in power alone was enough to break you. Rhye couldn't say for sure what kind of person Kasa was, what she'd end up as, how she'd change, or if someone wouldn't come along and break the woman. It was possible that Rhye'Tayha herself would do it in time. At the end of the day though, it was Kasa herself who decided if she WOULD break, if she WOULD submit to another for any reason.

59[16:46] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] nodded as they left the back of the Mansion into the garden behind it where in the distance another set of walls could be seen. "I am fully aware of that, that is why I take a careful approach to the things that I crave, I mean Soza would have defeated me and freed all the slaves if she had studied me. When she heard about the suffering slaves she didn´t even wait and barged right in, giving me plenty of time to build up my defenses...", she said with a chuckle as they walked down the path towards the compound.

61The heavy metal gates stood open and the walls were not as pretty as the ones surrounding the entire estate since they were built for efficiency and not for beauty. men and women alike were yelling and running around as they approached the compound. The compound itself looked very out of place, it was a huge structure menacing and efficient unlike the rest of the mansion. When they finally passed the gates inside of the compound they were both greeted by a huge simple cube-like building build out fo solid rock that looked more like a cave in the middle of nowhere, yet it was surrounded by wooden shacks where the other slaves lived. Guards in chainmail pushed out of the shacks people, pushing them towards the middle of the area, each one of those slaves was just wearing rags and an iron collar around their necks. Humans, elves, orcs, goblins, cat girls, wolf girls, there was a huge amount of people more than a hundred in total and they were being formed up in lines by the guards as they barked at them and pushed them around. Among the guards, there was one that stood out, a woman that was a red half-dragon that walked back and forth in front of the guards, her hands folded behind her back. For mortal standards, she looked intimidating towering over the other slaves and guards as her tail swished from side to side and glaring at the slaves...Kasa approached her immediately. "Kashera, are we ready to present the good?", she asked.

63The dragon woman turned around and gave her a firm nod. [color=green]Indeed, all the slaves are accounted for and displayed.[/color] , she said and then looked to Ryhe giving her a suspicious glance. "Is that the customer?", she asked warily as Ryhe could feel the dragon was trying to appraise her magic. "Yes, she is my guest so I would ask you to refrain from doing something to insult her...", she said with a stern voice and Kashera nodded looking away from Ryhe. [color=green]"Very well, I shall be on the other side, if there are troubles call me."[/color] , she said and walked away. Unlike the others she looked at Kasa as an equal, not as her Mistress or owner, she was free and as long as Kasa provided her with food, gold, and slaves to enjoy herself she would do what she wanted.

65With a motion of her hand, Kasa pointed towards the slaves which flinched and some of them whimpered even. "These are my standard goods, not special in particular, they have been appraised and deemed as normal slaves, no exceptional combat ability, no magical aptitude and only basic housework skills. Normally I sell them to lords and nobles who need either servants or whores for their brothels.", she explained as she stepped to a human woman that was about 20 years old. "Of course that can be changed, with the help of essence transfusion I can remake them to a point, also they can be trained to suit specific tasks more. So if something fancies your interest of these the price for each one is 100 imperial gold pieces, if they are to be trained or remodeled that will cost 300 more for each."

68Rhye didn't comment on what Kasa said, ultimately, as far as she was concerned, it didn't matter who won or lost out of that particular conflict between the slaver and the would be heroine. Said heroine would have still been a weakling that would have been broken by the first being with enough power to subdue and actually desire to break her. Of course, the young goddess didn't truly hate or fault anyone for such a thing, indeed, most mortals were like that. When subjected to enough pressure, they broke. Rare were those who could honestly, truly claim to be unbreakable... she only knew one personally, and she was in the care of her father, in a sense. Right now, she was curious to see if Kasa Alderyn could be such a mortal, it wasn't going to be a serious test, not like the ones her Father preferred, but there would be challenges nonetheless in time, in some way or another.

70If Kasa had the will, then the multiverse would become more interesting with her eventual ascension. If she lacked it, or didn't have enough to maintain her freedom, then someone or something was going to take her for themselves, living, dead, changed or unchanged... it didn't matter. That was the fate of the weak in her mind, to end up at the whim of the strong. That was far in the distant future though. In the present, the young goddess looked upon the much more practical construct held on Kasa's estates, and appreciated the fact that the woman had enough sense to ensure that this place of all places was built with practicality in mind. "[color=red]Very nice for the resources you have. It could be better though, of course. Better wards. Extensive space extensions... or perhaps a pocket dimension outright.[/color]" She commented idly, before her eyes moved to the slaves as they were brought out. None of them were anything special really, but to Rhye's eyes, each and every one of them was something of value, and her lips curled up in a grin that was savage, hungry. Anyone that looked at that grin, that would see the small points of fangs peeking from between her lips, would not be able to forget the sheer savagery in it, the threat of death held in that look. It was more than just the expression itself, as for a brief moment, anyone gazing into her eyes could see a brief flash of the endless hunger within her.

72Yet only one mortal present was foolish enough to do more than look. For Kashera, who tried to reach out with her senses to the young goddess, she found nothing... In the sense that she ended up perceiving a gaping, endless Abyss of Utter Void, complete annihilation of Time and Space itself, something where no life could ever exist... and that Abyss, packed inside a cute looking dragon-girl, [u]looked back at her, gazing into her very soul, and weighing her as something delicious, a snack to be devoured if she ever gave the monster the excuse for it[/u]. And then the sensation was gone, and Rhye had not even bothered giving her a cursory glance with her actual eyes, seeming more interested in the stock that was offered for sale, rather than suspicious half-dragon. However, only an idiot would forget what they'd sensed, and Kashera'd have to be a very big idiot to treat the young goddess with anything short of absolute caution from then on.

74"[color=red]Yes. I think I'll buy some of your common stock. Two of the more fit orc males, I do not care how trained they are, just that they are able in body. Also... of all of them here, pick out whichever female slave you think is the most beautiful, someone curvy, and have her follow us. I'd like to see your exotic stock too, before we return to your mansion to discuss some things.[/color]" As she spoke, Rhye reached out with her right hand, and created a tear in time and space, reaching to look for something inside as casually as some might reach into their pockets or purse. After a brief moment, she pulled out three hundred imperial gold pieces, the price Kasa had said she'd need to pay for three basic slaves. [color=red]Do you want something in writing before I pay? Oh and if it's no trouble, the two male slaves, they should be sent through this little portal.[/color]" Before anyone could ask 'what portal', a gesture of her tail caused a much taller tear in space and time to emerge at her side. It was impossible to tell where it went, or what awaited the two slaves at the other end, but it was fairly likely that no one here was ever going to hear from them again unless they too followed them through that tear in reality.

"Paperwork tends to get in the way and I like to keep things as quiet as possible...", she said with a friendly tone as she looked over the slaves and tapped her chin. All slaves were looking at Ryhe with shock, even more so when the portal appeared where they should walk through. On the far side to the left, the orcs seemed to become anxious and from the corner of her eye Kasa could see how they trying to shift backward but each time they moved out of line a guard pushed them back into their position.  Kasa walked back and forth and looked over the orcs, since Ryhe didn´t give much on specifics she could have of course given her some of the more worthless ones but she didn´t want to anger her or even worse lose a valuable business partner.

78Kasa appraised them expertly, her eyes wandered over them, looked at their muscle definition, at the scars and wounds they had as they lowered their gaze and tried to look as weak as possible. They knew, of course, they would be sold but apparently, the portal that Ryhea had spawned did intimidate them yet there was no sign of resistance. That was something Kasa had beaten and taught them first, what would happen if they even dared to resist her. The first orc she selected was an Orc that once was a blacksmith, his muscles were well defined and he was in a good shape, he was still broken since he had lost his mate during a raid by the empire´s troops that Kasa had instigated. Immediately the guards pushed the orc forward and he looked over his shoulder in disbelief but Kasa didn´t seem to pay him any attention anymore. [color=blue]Into the portal! Now![/color], said the guard and pushed him towards it where he stood still for a second before lowering his head and going through it. The next Orc Kasa selected was a younger one, he just reached adulthood but he already looked strong but unlike the older one, he had no scars on his skin. Like the first one, he was pushed towards the portal by another guard where they stood silently staring at the Gate. 80After she had selected two Orcs Kasa moved to the right and looked over the females, each one was staring at the ground, some of them rearranging their hair in order to hide their faces. Several silent seconds pass, only Kasa´s footsteps making a sound with each step before she suddenly stopped and looked at a woman. The woman standing in the front bit her lower lip and trembled as she starred to the ground but Kasa pushed her aside and pointed to the Woman behind her who looked shocked. She had white hair like snow, her eyes were a radiant green and her skin smooth and white if it wasn´t for the dirt on her face. The woman shook her head and muttered no under her breath but suddenly Kasa pulled her by the arm forward and lifted her chin with her finger. "Yes...you will do nicely...", she muttered as she looked into her face, brushing some of the dirt from her pillowy lips. This woman was a daughter of a noble from a Kingdom in the north, her family had lost all of their land and valuables since they invested into something that Kasa had sabotaged, she did offer to lend them money which they couldn´t pay back, they begged her for more time the promised they would pay her back with more interests but then they made the mistake to flee...Kasa caught them of course and while her father was killed, his daughter became her slave. Kasa grinned and smiled as she gave her firm C-cup breasts a squeeze and nodded. "Aren´t you happy? YOu have a new owner and who knows she might be very nice to you...", she said as she pulled her along towards the poratl making them stand in front of it. "Here we go, I hope these are satisfactory?", she asked Ryhe with a casual voice as she presented the slaves.

83For all intents and purposes, Rhye didn't care too much about the slaves that would be selected from the common stock. If it was in terms of their value as prey, all of them were about the same, regardless of the state of their bodies. Their bodies mattered a little bit more if they were to be valued as breeders, but that too could be worked on, and it was Tayha's business, what happened with those types. Still, she had been a little vague on purpose, because she wanted to see how Kasa would go about the selection process. Lust for power was all well and good, but if there was greed to the point of blindness, then that would only spell bad things for the slaver's future. Yet the woman proved to be professional in every way when it came to her selection, of both the two males she'd asked for, as well as the woman. Oh, if only they knew that Rhye wanted them for, then the men would be far more eager and relieved... while the woman would likely opt to kill herself on the spot. But that they'd learn soon enough, each of them.

They will do nicely, all of them.[/color]" She spoke, conjuring up a small bag, and placing the imperial coins in it, leaving it to float towards Kasa, while the young goddess turned her attention to the slaves themselves. "[color=red][u]You two. Fear not. You have been selected for my other half. You both will be taken to another world, and the two of you will serve as two of the fathers of a race of god-blooded orcs. Rejoice, for your days will be spent in debauchery with a goddess, and your life will be that of leisure and luxury as long as you obey and given in to the depravity you will discover. Now, as soon as Kasa is satisfied with her payment, step through the portal[/u][/color]" She spoke to them, in orcish even, her pronunciation perfect in spite of the fact that her young voice sounded unnatural speaking the words of their tongue. Rhye wasn't lying either. Tayha really was looking for orcs to populate some of their inner world. These two would be just the start of things, and they'd be changed by the experience... but their lives were going to be good ones as long as they didn't care for the fact that they'd be at the goddess' whims for a long, long time.

87Regardless of how they reacted to this development, the young goddess turned away from the men, and focused on the woman, floating up and close until their faces were nearly touching, taking in a deep breath, obviously sampling her scent. "[color=red]Yes. You will do fine as well. Do not fear. For now, all you need to do is walk in step behind me while Kasa shows me around. Your duties will not be hard ones, you won't need to know much to do what I intend for you. You won't be going with the orcs,
88 so you don't have to worry about the portal.[/color]" Rhye explained, in the common tongue, while also being certain that this girl did not know orcish, and thus, did not know that the fate of the orcs would be far better than her fate. "[color=red]Of course, you should know that there is no escape. So leave the fear aside.[/color]" Of course, she doubted that the woman was going to be reassured, but that hardly mattered, as the goddess was already returning her attention to Kasa.

I do not know if I'll make a purchase now, but I'd like to see what you've been able to capture with your current means.[/color]" She didn't REALLY need too. Kasa didn't have the kind of protections that could block the sight of a goddess, so she could simply project her senses and know. However, this was for Kasa as much as it was for Rhye, a chance for the woman to show off, and a chance for them to talk, and thus, for the goddess to further evaluate the woman.

92[18:08] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] felt the weight of the gold in the pouch and tossed it a bit, this was a skill she had learned early on since it was considered rude to count the money in front of the customer and yet she didn´t just trust everyone blindly. It also helped her that Ryhe so effortlessly conjured it up which showed she was confident in the gold. Kasa chuckled and tossed the pouch to a guard who caught it. "Bring it to my study...", she said with a stern voice and the guard immediately bowed and ran off. They all knew better than to run off with her money...

94The orcs looked rather relieved as they stepped into the portal but the girl was still looking over her shoulder towards Ryhe and then to Kasa who only looked at her with an angry look and nodded towards the portal. She hesitated but then bit her lower lip and stepped into the portal too. Kasa smiled and looked towards the guards. "Right bring them back to their home and clean up, we will now visit the exotic ones...", she said and walked towards the entrance to that cave looking back to see if Ryhe was following her. As they entered the cave they were already going down the steps for a while and were greeted by a barred door. "here is where I keep my more exotic stock, it contains three levels, the first level is my training faccility where I train all my slave, the second leve is where I contain my more powerful slaves, those adept in combat or magic and the third level contains the magical beings, Lamias, demons, Dryads, Alraune´s, merfolk, each having their own personal contaiment room and enviroment so they don´t die.", she said casually as she leads her down to the third floor and opened the gate with the help of a golden key. The gate itself was imbued with strong magic, gems that radiated constant protections spells against scrying and teleportation and even could withstand strong magical attacks. It was the best money could afford... The gate unlocked as the panels shifted on its front and they were greeted by a long hallway, where several doors let to different cells. Each door was custom made for the captive and Kasa walked to the first one opened the panel of the door and opened it revealing a [url=https://imgur.com/GTYXo8X]Lamia[/url] held captive in a magical circle making sure Ryhe could see her. "I´ll show you them all and then you can decide if you wish to purchase one...", she said with a smile and waited for her to check her out.

The young goddess didn't even need to look at the young woman to know that she kept step with them as Kasa led them into the depths of the complex, where she presented much more interesting slaves... slaves that would feed the monster-girl's appetite in more ways, because of the greater strength of their souls. Of course, some could be just as useful as breeders for the goddess, as beings that would help bring life and diversity to the Inner World of Rhye'Tayha. It was only whim that made the two of the start with those two orcs, whim, and her interest in assessing the slaver.

103As they walked, Rhye maintained her silence, simply looking upon the slaves in their cells, examining them quietly. The more perceptive ones, the ones with more esoteric powers that could potentially perceive the otherworldly nature of their visitor, might have ended up feeling either awed, horrified, or perhaps even hopeful at the sight of her. The demons and angels in particular, if they were the types to normally serve gods, might have reacted to her presence, the presence of a divine being that they could serve, as Rhye was neither Good nor Evil, she simply was, above such concepts, able to command them both in different ways. "[color=red]This is a very impressive collection for a mortal, especially one with the limits you have. It speaks tremendously of your wit and determination, of how resourceful you can be. If you can achieve this much with what you have now, then how much more would you be able to achieve with my and my other's half's gifts, I wonder?[/color]" At the end of the hall, she stopped, and turned away from Kasa, her eyes briefly landing on the human morsel she'd purchased, for a moment considering showing why she'd bought her right then and there... but then restrained the impulse. No. The demonstration was for Kasa alone. These slaves did not need to see it, they'd only get to experience it if that was to be their fate.

I bought her specifically for a demonstration, as well as a test in a sense.[/color]" The young goddess focused her gaze on Kasa, her eyes glowing with an unsettling light. "I will keep them here for the time being if you ever are interested to purchase them. But you are right, this is not the place for discussions we should move to my mansion.", she said leading her back out of the cave and over the compound that seemed rather devoid of people as they walked back through it. "I am always glad to see interest in my merchandise, I take great pride in my goods that I present and yes sometimes it takes a lot of effort and time to capture some of these beings since as a human I have to rely on tools and subterfuge more than on raw power but there is a certain strength also in appearing weak. When the powerful underestimate their prey they tend to leave themselves vulnerable and for me, that is the perfect time to strike...", she said with a chuckle as she unconsciously tapped her scarf under which was a cloth collar that a certain being had attached to her yesterday. It was infused with necromantic power, attached to Kasa´s soul and if removed it would kill her and even worse she had cursed Kasa making sure that should she die she would be resurrected as an undead to serve her and even worse give all herself and all of her possessions to her. Yet she made one mistake, she kept her alive...

110Kasa leads her inside the Mansion and brought her to a room which was her personal study where Soza already stood with a tray of tea and snacks which she put on the desk. "That is all Soza, please lock the door behind you and leave me and my guest alone, I do not wish to be disturbed under any circumstance.", she said with a stern voice. [color=cyan]Yes, Milady...[/color] she answered and walked out of the room closing and locking the oaken doors behind herself. The study was decorated with many shelves, containing books and tomes of all kinds, some magical, others normal. Most of them contained information about certain beings and ways how to capture them. This was the place where Kasa would make her plans, where she would study in order to get the upper hand on something. With a relieved sigh she sat down behind the desk and poured herself a cup of tea, of course, she was thinking about offering Ryhe one as well but more out of courtesy then anything else since she wasn´t sure if divine beings even considered mortal food as edible. She pushed the cup towards one of the seats in front of her desk and smiled. "So you wished to show me something?", she asked giving the slave an evil grin which makes her tremble in fear. "I must say I was looking forward to this...To see the extent of your powers.", she said as she sipped from her teacup and looked at Ryhe with anticipation.

"There is another reason why I want to see your power because maybe there is something you could help me...", she said and uncurled the scarf around her neck revealing a golden collar marked with runes on top of it that hummed with magical energy that tried to suppress something. It was weird, Kasa didn´t have any magical power but as soon as she removed the collar, she revealed a cloth band around her neck which looked flimsy. "Do you know what this is?", she asked pointing to the collar on her throat.

Fufufu~ There's always something bigger out there, Kasa, this is true no matter how powerful you become. That is the way of the Infinite Multiverse. Whoever says that they're the end all be all? They are arrogant fools who are drunk on their own power... and who eventually fall prey to something or another that takes advantage of that arrogance.[/color]" Rhye's grin as she spoke was the very definition of maliciousness... but it was her words that Kasa would do well to pay attention too. After all, they came with some very unsettling implications, that this was an immortal who was not only aware of whatever limitations she had, but who actively worked to to expand them. Rhye'Tayha was not a goddess content to wallow in her power. No, she was a goddess who kept growing, more than even her youth warranted, she was a goddess who did everything that a mortal would do and more to increase her strength for reasons currently known only to herself and those who knew her. She was a goddess who wouldn't hesitate even to make herself seem weaker than she actually was, just so she could gain an advantage over others... and that meant that unlike many others of her kind... she kept an eye out for those kinds of tricks herself. Perhaps, if she was perceptive enough, Kasa would realize that Rhye had an overwhelming disdain for arrogance, and by extension, for those who were arrogant.

117She spoke nothing more on the subject right then and there though, instead waiting until they were back in Kasa's study. She ignored the maid again, for now, and even the slave that even now was waiting for her fate, now more afraid thanks to Kasa's words. The young goddess took the offered cup of tea, and sipped from it daintily, but didn't comment on the taste one way or the other for the time being. "Hah, what I'll be doing to this girl won't really be the extent of my powers. If I were to showcase any real degree of power, I'd break her mind before I'd even start in all honesty. No, there's another reason I want to do what I will do, but first..." She rose out of the seat, placing the tea cup down and floating over to take a closer look at what Kasa showed her. "I don't know exactly what that is, no, but I do know necromantic magic bound to the soul when I see it. It looks cursed too. Tell me, how did you get that thing on? Did you accept in any way? Verbally? Spiritually? Or was it forced upon you?" Rhye asked, her eyes glowing again, her draconic tail waving from side to side as she examined that construct. Her small smile formed on her lips. No, she did not know exactly what this was, but she could guess its purpose. Still, whoever had placed it was either supremely arrogant, or criminally careless...

"It was yesterday in the castle when a certain creature suddenly pulled me up in the rafters and ravaged me, telling me how I was worthless and only good to be breed and serve her.", she started to retell as her eyes squinted and a fury could be seen in her eyes emerge. "I was raped several times in my life, hell I was enslaved once by a demon but I managed to escape and later on enslave her...And yet I was powerless, I was powerless when she rammed her cocks into me, I was powerless when she abused me and even more when she put that stupid collar around my neck. After that she started to write something on my back and explained to me how I will serve her, how everything I possessed would be hers...", she said before suddenly she rammed her fist on top of the desk angrily. "I would rather die than give up everything I have accumulated for some necromantic demon whore who thinks she can push me around and yet she cursed me, telling me that as soon as I die I would be forever bound to her! That moment I swore to myself I wouldn´t die until that curse was broken! I will not serve her! I will not give her my belongings and I will not give up the power I had accumulated till this point.", she hissed angrily.

"That Marilith has another thing coming if she thinks that she can just rape me and collar me and expect that I would just bow down and heel."

Her eyes glowed slightly, and while Kasa couldn't know this, her other half, still in the Monster Castle in question, was looking in the castle's past, and seeing a few glimpses of the event in question. "[color=red]My, that's quite the story, but by the sounds of things, that demon is quite foolish. Let me tell you why, since this is something that you'd learn anyway in due time if you're to enter more elaborate pacts with myself. You see, did you ever wonder why demons and all sorts of other beings trick mortals into [u]accepting[/u] all sorts of deals for their souls? Why don't they just [u]take[/u] the other directly when in many cases they can?[/color]" The goddess gestured to the collar in question, as an example of what she meant about taking what one wanted. "[color=red]The reason for that is simple Kasa, any binding that isn't accepted, cannot be turned into a permanent one, not without significantly more effort. That's why whether it's the lowest demon or the greatest divinity... all often aim for devotion, or at least, to break those they'd enslave to the point where they desire that enslavement... and that's why this demon of yours is stupid. She assaulted you, she showcased her power... but she did not break your will. Even if you were to die, her hold on you would not be fully secure unless she breaks your will and makes you accept her as your Mistress, yada yada. Reality warping and magic is convenient... but it's never quite that easy, if it were, do you think anyone would need worshippers or deals? Pft.[/color]"

132[19:41] *[user]Kasa Alderyn[/user] listened to her intently and nodded, her words made sense, the only reason she wasn´t able to find out much about the binding that she was attached to was the sole reason that necromancy was an art form which most mortals didn´t talk about in the open. She had some tomes that she squired yesterday but still didn´t have any time to study them yet. A grin appeared on her face as she heard Rhye describe the foolishness of the demon... At first, she was angry at herself for being weak but she was right, with enough time and effort who knew what she could achieve? Taking a deep breath she tilted her head and smiled before Ryhe was suddenly speaking about serving her but the more she listened the more relaxed she became. In this situation, Ryhe could have just overpowered her without effort that was for sure but she didn´t seem to be interested in that which made Kasa glad. Already she had her share of powerful beings that walked up to her and tried to enslave her every time but Ryhe seemed...reasonable...

134She was aware that there would be a price to pay, she was aware that Ryhe might not want to have an enemy because she took her...Urgh "Toy" and she already had thought feverishly what to offer her in exchange. She could offer herself but that was something she didn´t want to do, why exchange one master for the other? She wanted to be her own master and wanted to see Ryhe as an ally and not as a new master, so that was out of the question.

136Suddenly Ryhe´s voice seemed to change and Kasa flinched and stared at her perplexed as she heard those words that echoed through the room. Someone that was more worth than money to her? Someone that was more worth to her than her own life and freedom? Closing her eyes she started to think. There was no such person, there was no being or person she valued more then herself, relying on others was a thing she hated the most, making herself vulnerable to others even more. She bit her lower lip as she made a mental note of everyone which she didn´t see as stock. There was Sozu her maid, she had gotten offers for her but she rejected them each time since she thought of her as her own beloved toy. But dying for her? Giving up her freedom? Those thoughts never occurred to her. 
137Then there was Arkadi that being who she had taught and shown what it meant to see the world through mortal eyes and who had helped her capture other beings. They both had a child which was now in the mansion sleeping while Kasa didn´t hate them both she also would have sacrificed both for power if she had the possibility but with Arkadi she was in a sort of "Love" relationship since she had opened her mind to hers and somehow Arkadi believed that she loved her... Kasa groaned as she continued to list the people mentally in her head. "You are really asking the impossible from me, I do not value anything more than myself...", she finally said. "I know what love is and I felt it once but in my eyes, it is a weakness that tends to get in the way of everything else. The only thing that I value more then my power and my freedom is my own mind.", she said in a casual tone as she folded her hands in front of herself. "The only person I would have died for was my mother and she died a long time ago when she tried to protect me, everyone else does not matter...", she said in a flat monotone as she remembered her mother.

140When Kasa explained her circumstances, Rhye listened intently, and as she spoke, the goddess' eyes glowed, and her power radiated visibly, creating a sort of red tinted aura around her, which faded at the end. She grinned, and then laughed, it seemed that the young girl was not angered by this answer. "[color=red]Incredible, there really is no one alive that you wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice for a good enough deal. Fufufu~ I have never met a mortal as selfish as you are. Indeed, I do not doubt that if you had the power and the means, you'd enslave myself and my kin as well, and use as you'd see fit, it's all in your soul, laid bare to my gaze. You only mentioned your mother, and in this, you and I are somewhat similar. I will tell you this, that there is nothing that I would not reduce to nothingness save for my family, and it is for them that I would go to war with Infinity itself.[/color]" The young goddess settled down in her seat. "[color=red]I intended to use that little morsel behind me to test your resolve and heart, to see if you really could be heartless and cruel, even against your own kind, as long as it brought you something of worth. Now, I doubt anything I'd do to her would really phase you, at most, I may make you lose your lunch or some such, but there's no particular point in that. She'll still be useful though.[/color]" Rhye glanced briefly at the waiting slave, who was likely terrified of all this talk of curses, higher beings, gods, so on and so forth, especially when it was clear that her life wasn't really worth anything to either the woman who sold her or the goddess who bought her.

What if I could do that, and used that as my price for this little favour? Would that bother you?"[/color] Rhye hadn't decided yet if she actually was going to do anything of that sort. She could indeed search for the dead Lady Alderyn, and with Tayha's powers, she would likely find her too, since by immortal standards, she hadn't been dead for long. Yet it was debatable if she wanted to do anything of this sort... it was tempting though. If Kasa valued her mother, then that meant that if Rhye'Tayha had her, she'd have something that Kasa actually valued, something that she might go to extreme lengths for one day, if it was ever called for. It was tempting, particularly for Tayha, who did like to bind others to her in various ways, but it was not a done deal. By that same token, Rhye could ask for something else, she knew. That thing beneath the mansion. For Kasa, it was an unknowable monstrosity that she might not be able to do anything with no matter what she tried or how much time she had... but for Rhye? It was an Eldritch Monster that had been wrapped up like a pretzel, restrained just enough that for an existence like her, it was a meal ready to be served...

With a glance at the girl that was freaking out, tears in her eyes and trembling as she heard them speak, Kasa just shrugged her shoulders.
