85
You can follow players who have IC knowledge of a location to that said location to learn about the location of that certain place so long as you inform an admin you're doing as much in advance.
86

87
88
The Guardian's Tower is the only location that can be learned about through word of mouth alone without any need for admin permission, The only starting players who know about it, however, are the earth guardian and the Benevolent Blacksmith, Both can choose to never reveal the location of the tower to anyone.
89

90
91
Planet Vegeta Fitness, Vegeta's Core, The Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Kaioshin, Desert/Jungle connecting Cave, and all portals are completely locked off to players unless given admin permission.

92
The Dragon Balls can be picked up by anyone, but only those who learn about them can use them and even then if they have a password you need to learn it in order to use them. Thankfully you don't need admin permission to learn about the dragon balls or tell others about them it can all be done by word of mouth.

93
The Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Vegetas Core, Hells exit, Heavens entrance, and kaioshin all require admin permission to tell another about, The Hyperbolic Time chamber and Vegetas Core are however the only ones that need permission to enter once learning about them

94
The alter down in hell is completely off limits to everyone and may never be used.

95
96
Alt interaction is not allowed, they cannot even be on the same z plane.

97
An admins ruling is final, If you keep causing issues after a problem has been resolved you can get muted or worse.

98
No underaged, public or forced ERP, You will not be given a warning when it comes to this matter.

99
Don't bother players with AFK tags, You may not rob them, attack them, kill them, or do anything even slightly harmful to them.

100
If you know a player only just went afk to avoid RPing with you or to try and get out of having to do combat contact and admin and have them look into the situation. If they see something that seems fishy they'll take care of the problem, If they decide the player was faking it they can give you permission to attack/kill that player.

101
Don't log out during combat to try and avoid death.

102
If a player logs out during combat wait a bit to see if they just crashed before contacting an admin and informing them that the player is death avoiding.

103
Common sense should be used when dealing with the rules, If something clearly seems wrong but isn't in the rules then please don't do it.

104
An admin is allowed to at any point add a new rule if they think it's clearly needed to avoid problems in the future.

105
Don't put IC information OOC as well as vice versa

106
Dont block off spawns, caves, or any other locations other players need to go to or use.

107
Be kind to each other in OOC and don't argue with each other, If theres a problem get an admin and if someone still proves to be a problem punishments will follow.

167
You have to roleplay and do a countdown before doing anything that would harm another player. Examples include but are not limited to: Attacking, killing, stealing, grabbing, or anything else that you think would fit the bill, use common sense on this one

168

169
The exception is breaking into buildings, it's what you do inside that counts.

170
171
If you have specific targets each of them must see the roleplay before you can do it, you can not do it off screen.

172
173
If you do not have specific targets, for example using the genocide verb, then you must be
174 roleplaying the ability in a place where there are players to see it.

175
176
Countdowns can be skipped if the target(s) allow it

177
178

179
If someone attacks/kills/steals/grabs you without proper rp, then you can fight back to the death without response or counting down if you so desire, but this is only the case when it's someone actively trying to break the rules, If it was a mistake or a player who's still learning the game try and let it slide and ask an admin to revive you.

180
181

182
If whoever does this keeps having "mistakes" to the point where it's clear they're doing it on purpose alert an admin and they'll swiftly handle the situation and get them to stop

183

184
When it comes to the actual combat it's a pretty simple process, you need to ko your enemy two times in order to toggle lethal on and try to kill them, that's three rounds of combat total and on the third ko you can kill them so long as you write about how you kill your enemy in your emote and write (Lethal) at the end of your emote

185
You can engage in lethal combat in the first round of combat so long as you are (x10) your opponents base bp, this doesn't count for when your opponent is powered down, however.

186
187
When it comes to injuries it goes like this, after the first round of combat you can perform a temporary injury, during the second round you can perform a permanent one, If you extend it to a number of rounds after that you're limited to doing two permanent injuries per extra turn

188
Some extra do's and don'ts when it comes to combat

189

190
Don't meditate in the middle of a battle even if you run out of energy.

191
Do write a new roleplay saying you're going to meditate and countdown during the combat and hope that by some miracle that you're able to do it before getting KOed by your enemy, this only works once per round meaning that if you run out of energy again you're outta luck

192
Don't go around picking on freshly made characters unless they're actively bothering you, Give newer players a chance to get ready and set into the game before you think about killing them.

193
Do try to have a good rp reason to start a fight, Try and do what your character would do and don't just attack someone due to ooc feelings or knowledge.

213
Can be used to force someone to gain cyber BP however it requires lethal intent as well as needs to be included in your original roleplay. Only do this with good IC reason however EX. 265We aren't doing race slots! All races that aren't open to the public are actually ranked roles to eliminate the need to do two applications for a
race and then a rank as well as the added bonus of making those races feel all the more special.

267It's always going to be freeform for ranks, Just so long as it's a roleplay as the character you plan to play it's fine by us.

268

How do I apply for a rank?
The best and easiest way to apply for a rank is joining our discord and going down to the application section and looking at the format and intructions there. However not everyone has a discord so in events such as that I recomend asking an admin to help you OOC and ask them about what you should do.
Heres a link to our Discord
https://discord.gg/5UpXAsQ

608

Rank Gained Skills

609
The following skills can only be learned through having a rank or being taught by a rank, These skills sadly cannot be applied for or learned by just anyone like the others. Because of this they each have their own special set of rules to them that you should strive to learn.

610

611
Majin: This skill can't be gained by anyone who has mystic nor can someone with majin later lean mystic, Majin is used to take control of others and give them a power boost so they can better serve you, it only allows the control of three people at a time, those of a good alignment are immune to it's effects.

612

613
You need to be at least 50% the bp of the person you try to majinize and then theres a chance you'll take control of them, the chances are more in your odds the more evil and willing the person is, The odds are out of your favor when the person is neutral and unwilling. Just inform an admin on what magic tier you are, What Tier willpower the player you're trying to control is and they'll do a dice roll for you to decide if it works or not. Generally if the person you're targeting is neutral you get a -1 to your roll, If the person is evil you get a +1, and then you subtract whatever their willpower bonus is

614
People under the control have their alignment shifted to evil and must follow the orders of their master until that master dies or unless you break the control through sheer willpower, in order to break the control you must have a strong rp reason as well as win a dice roll of your willpower vs their magic with the added bonus of whatever your tier gives you. If you fail you need to wait an IRL day to try again but if you succeed you break the majinization and become immune to further attempts of majinization. Your alignment will then return to whatever it was originally and you forget the majin skill.

615
To give an example of how to Majinize someone: A chaotic Neutral Saiyan is matched up against a player with a T3 magic score who knows majin.

616
617A saiyans willpower score is T6 so they get a +2 to their roll which basically means that the magic user would
618be getting a -2 to their roll, as well as the fact that the saiyan isn't evil therefore they're taking
619another -1. Due to the magic users T3 magic they're getting a +0 to their roll so they get no extra bonus.
620In order for the attempt at control to be a success, they need to roll a number higher than their opponents
621willpower tier
Ex. Getting a score of a 7 against a T7 willpower player would be a failure but if you somehow
622got a score of 8 you would succeed (of course this isn't applying for the -3 you would get for challenging a
623player with T7 willpower.)

624
625So basically a Willpower T6 gets a +2 so the T3 Magic user would have to add his bonus +0, Subtract
626The willpower bonus -2, Then subtract -1 due to them being neutral. So if they rolled a 10 it would be...

627
62810-2-1+0= 7

634

635
636
Mystic: This skill can't be gained by anyone who has majin nor can someone someone with mystic later learn majin, Mystic is used to purify the soul and increase the power in others like never before, This ability will not work on a evil being and if used on someone neutral it will force them to become good

637
The ritual to preform this power takes a long time to do, so one of the two parties are expected to write a rp describing the long event from their own points of view, if the app passes grading then the one who was having the ritual preformed on them gets taught mystic as well as gains a large power boost. If you fail the grading process then you need to wait one IRL day before trying again, there of course needs to be a good rp reason to even do the process and it can't be done multiple times in a row for a bunch of people, at a max only two people the entire wipe.

653
654
Soul Contract: This power cannot be forced on anyone, you can't use majin to make someone sign a soul contract or anything like that, you can however beat a person up until they submit if you like however, once a person signs they completely become yours, you may use any abilities your soul contract has on them so long as you emote first, theres no need to countdown however, You do however need a good rp reason to kill a contract as well as require a good reason to absorb a contract. Soul contracts can only be destroyed by the one who wrote it. You do not need admin permission to use these to transport yourself or contracts between realms.

687
The dragon balls themselves need admin permission to be used, Most people don't know the dragon balls exist or what they even are, you need to know what they are either through being told what they are or through a rank that says you know of the dragon balls to use them, you'll also need the password if there is one

688
689
Instant Transmission: A ability created by the Yardrat race, it allows it's user to travel long distances in a instant so long as they can locate the ki of someone they know, very few people outside of the Yardrat know how to preform this ability due to it being quite the complex skill to master

690
691
Admin permission needed to teach, To learn the ability however you need to train with the yardrat master for at least a year then write a application to learn the technique.

692
693
Requires you to emote and do a CD before teleporting each and every single time be it to escape a enemy or to just visit a friend

694
695
Kai Teleport: A ability use by certain kai to travel the realms of life and death with ease

696
You can use Kai teleport at anytime to go anywhere, however you need to preform a emote and countdown before each teleport, In order to teleport others to other places you need admin permission

697
698
Invisibility: Allows you to turn invisible with ease and go unnoticed outside of combat

699
700
Can't be used in combat, It can be used when fleeing an enemy only after emoting and CDing running away and then afterwards emoting and CDing again to turn invisible

701
702
Make Amulet Allows you to make a amulet that allows you to open a portal to hell itself, this amulet can also be used to get you out of hell and back into the living realm

703
704
Does not require admin permission to make nor to use, if using this to attempt to trap others in hell it requires lethal intent, You need admin permission to steal the amulet or give the amulet to others

705
706
Body Swap Allows you to crawl inside the body of another and take them over stealing their power for yourself for a limited amount of time, after that time is over your host manages to reject you from their body.

707
708
Requires lethal intent to use as well as be included in your original combat roleplay.

718

Technology

719Applying for in-game tech is one of the easiest things you can do, It goes off of your technology tier and involves no rolling, You just need to have the same or higher amount of technology in order to apply for that bit of tech.

720
721Ex. Someone with T6 Technology could app for 1-6 tech but never T7.

722
723You may only app for two pieces of tech a day and can choose to make tier 1-5 tech public when you make it otherwise your technology is private. Making technology public has the benefit of giving you the listed resources and allowing anybody on the server to make that certain piece of tech whenever they want while making tech private costs you the resources but has the benefit of being for you and you alone. Tier 6-7 Tech is always made private and will never become public, however, all other private tech is made public after 5 years.

823

New Players

824
Welcome to Dragon Universe

825So you're new to the wonderful world of dragon universe huh? Don't worry everyone was new to this game at one point and if you stick with me during this guide you'll be on your way to being a pro in no time!

826
Important Info

827The first few questions on your mind are most likely "What do I do? how do I control things? What's my goal?" and each of those questions are good ones that I'll try to explain to the best of my ability, Let's start with controls.

828
Controls

829Dragon universe is what some might describe best as a MUD with visuals attached to it, Your mainly only going to be either typing or moving around. Moving around is easy and simple enough you just need to use your arrow keys as you would for some other games, You can also use your WASD keys to move around if it's all set in your hotkeys however we'll focus on those a bit later.

830The next thing you're gonna wanna learn is how to talk or perform actions and that's pretty easy to learn as well and there's even a number of ways to make that happen, Perhaps the easiest way is to just click the task bar to the bottom right of your screen, Just under all of the text that is where you can do a whole range of things however we'll be focusing on the most basic and important things you can do there. Let's say you wanted your character to say something you'd just do the following...

831Type "say" then press the Space bar, If you did it right it should now look like this

832Say "

833Then it's just a simple matter of typing whatever you want your character to say and pressing enter, You should see your message then pop up with your characters name next to it right above your task bar, it would look something like this.

834Dave: Hello!

835If there are any other players in your field of view they'll be able to hear and see that message and maybe even respond! Another way of doing this is looking up at your tabs in the top right of the screen and clicking on "Other" then clicking on "Say" it should bring up another little text window where there you can just type whatever you wanted your character to say without the need of writing the actual "say" command. But lets say you want your character to do something more then just talk, Maybe you want them to do something. at that point you'll want to do what you did for say only a little differently, You go down into your task bar and type emote followed by a space like before and type an action you want your character to do.

836emote "jumps up into the air and does a sick backflip
Doing that will make this appear in yellow text

837*Dave jumps up into the air and does a sick backflip*

838
839Just like with say only people who you can see in your field of view can see and read what your character has done and just like with say there is a emote command under the "Other" Tab. Congrats! You now know how to walk, Talk, and do stuff, however, the fun doesn't end there! There's so much more you can do than just that but to get into all of that you're going to want to learn about...

840
841
Training

842Training is a major part of dragon universe, a major part of dragon ball in general, and it's going to be your starting point into becoming a strong warrior. Training can range in a number of ways however I'll just clue you in on the most basic stuff you need to know. The train command can be found under your "Skills" tab and all you need to do is just click it and your character will start training. You need to keep your character perfectly still while training otherwise you'll stop training, however, you can still talk and do emotes while training. Training drains your energy and once you run out of energy you'll automatically stop training just like how you would if you tried moving while training. Training has multiple uses as it's a good way to raise your BP (or Battle power), your stats, and can gain you skill points. What are skill points I hear you ask? well if you go over to your "Skills" tab and click learn you'll see a list of all the skills your character can learn and the price of each skill, Earn skill points and learn these skills in order to do whatever it is that skill is.

843If you plan on training I recommend getting yourself some weights as soon as possible, you can get them from the build menu under science. Don't know how to open the build menu? You'll either need to learn or set its hotkey which of course I'll teach you how to do in a moment.

844Weights are your training gear, like weighted clothing in dragon ball they lower your battle power while you wear them but also help you to get stronger quicker. How fast you get strong is based on a few factors however the easiest one to notice and the only one I'll be teaching you for now is your BP modifier.
Click on your "Stats" tab, Up at the top of that you should see

Battle power "insert a number here" ("Another number followed by a x")

845
846The first number there is your actual battle power, basically, the number ranking your general level of power is, the higher it is the stronger you are. The second number in the parentheses, however, is your BP modifer and that tells you how fast you'll get strong through training, Generally speaking, you want this to be as high as can be but don't worry about that too much.
847
848

Hotkeys

849Now we're finally getting to those hotkeys that keep coming up, First thing you're going to want to do is go up to the top right and click settings. There a little window will pop up, from there you can change your characters hair, get some clothes, and customize a number of things but what we want to do is scroll down and click on Hotkey set up. Now you may or may not have some hotkeys already set, if you do that's great just learn those and you'll be golden, Otherwise you're gonna want to set them up yourself. This is also how you're gonna want to set up your cool new moves like beams or ki blasts as it's better to have them on a hotkey then anything else. You'll probably want to set things up here as comfortably for you as possible however I have some recomendations.

850
Lethal Toggle: O

851
Power Up: G

852
Power Down: H

853
Build Menu: M

854
Your Main Moves: A,S,D, and F

855
Fly: R

856
Countdown: Q

857
Dice Roll: T

858

859

Combat

860This is where a lot of the fun is in DU, Combat is a pretty simple process that I'm going to want to run by you first thing you wanna do is STOP! Turn your lethals off, Make sure they're off. If you follows my instructions over in the Hotkeys section then you should only need to press O to turn them off. With those now off you won't accidentally kill your opponant until when you actually want to do that (Check combat rules for further details on that process) Then you're going to wanna do a combat roleplay, make sure you take care in the effort of not controlling other peoples characters in your emotes here's a example of a good and bad emote.

861Bad Emote - *Dave does a emo hairflip and says "nothing personnel kid." before he does a awesome roundhouse kick and kicks steve into the air and chops off his arm with a karate chop while steve begs for mercy*

862Good Emote - *Dave does a emo hairflip and says "nothing personnel kid." before he tries to do a awesome roundhouse kick and tries to kick steve into the air, should he be able to do as much dave would then go for a powerful karate chop in the hopes of being able to take steves arm off with that mighty attack*

863See emoting is about trying to do things and then reacting to how things play out afterwards. As for combat itself it goes like this, you do your emote, then a countdown, after the countdown is over the two of you fight by attacking with whatever moves you know or basic punches (I recomend turning on auto attack) and charging at one another, you can try to dodge each other and do whatever you can within the rules to try and win. You're going to want to repeat that process three times and if you're trying to kill the other player you're going to want to write (Lethal) at the end of your third emote (This would be the third and final round of combat), turn your lethals on, then countdown, Fight, and then try to kill your opponant, should you be able to knock them out you're going to want to keep attacking their knocked out body until they're dead.

864
Final Quick tips

865This is the end of things and you should be fairly well equiped to handle the game, from this point forward you're going to want to follow the rest of the checklist I made for you and you'll get an idea on how things work around here, however, here's a bit of info for you that can help you out a lot

866
Meditating after losing all your energy is a good way to regain it quicker, however theres rules about doing as much during combat so be aware of those.

867
Namekians get stronger faster by meditating as opposed to training.

868
Some races can breathe in space, however some also can't, If you aren't sure what races can or can't it's probably wise to get yourself an air mask before going into space.

869
If you're randomly losing health after going to a certain area or planet you're probably suffering from the effects of high gravity, I recomend getting out of there fast if you don't wanna die from being crushed to death.

870
Roofs are what keep flying players out of your homes, Walls are mostly decorative and just keep players from walking on that tile.

871
Make sure your character is old enough to train and do things, otherwise you may end up needing to remake, wait till you grow up, or ask an admin to change your age.

872
Ask other players for help whenever you're confused about something.

873
like with emote and say there's an OOC (Out of character) command that can be used just like them to talk to every player on the server as yourself as opposed to your character. Just make sure you have OOC toggle on if you wanna see your own messages and the messages of others.

888

889

890

891
892

RPG Elements in my DU?

893What do I mean about RPG Elements? Well I mean good ol' classic table top-ish features are going to be added in to the game here and there to allow for more freedom and roleplay value in the game, With the (Somewhat Complex Looking) System I have below here I found a way to make the DU application process along with the advancement of character progress (Hopefully) more interesting then it was.

The Tier System

894
895The Tier system without a doubt looks a little complex but it's easy to get a hang of once you have a basic understanding of it. Basically, all players will be dealing with 6 skills that will make up their characters abilities these are Magic, Rituals, Technology, Blacksmithing, Willpower, and Genetics. Each skill has 8 levels to it starting from zero (0-7) which influence the score of dice rolls you do. Generally speaking, you'll be attempting to beat the score of the skill you want to use in order to use it.

896
897Tier 0 - You will always fail and cannot ever succeed in this field

898Tier 1 - -1 to your roll ex. If you roll a 5 it would be treated as a 4.

899Tier 2 - +0 to your roll -2 for tier 3 and doubles for each tier after ex. T3 -2, T4 -4, T5 -6 etc.

900Tier 3 - +0 to your roll -2 for tier 4 and doubles for each tier after ex. T4 -2, T5 -4, T6 -6 etc.

901Tier 4 - +1 to your roll -2 for tier 5 and doubles for each tier after ex. T5 -2, T6 -4, T7 -6.

902Tier 5 - +1 to your roll -1 for Tier 6 and doubles for each tier after ex. T6 -1, T7 -2

903Tier 6 - +2 to your roll. -1 for Tier 7

904Tier 7 - +3 to your roll. May roll twice and add those numbers together.
905

906You still do get the bonus of your roll even when you're getting a subtraction ex. If someone with a T4 Ritual
907attempts to perform a T5 ritual they get +1 to whatever they roll taking their -2 turning it into a -1
908to whatever they rolled.
909

910The way you learn what Tier you are in a skill is based on your race unless you are a rank in which it tells you certain skills are a higher or lower tier than average. The Tiers for each race are as follows.
911
912

913Alien - T3Magic, T0Rituals, T3 Technology, T3 Blacksmithing, T3 Willpower, T1 Genetics

914Android - T0Magic, T0Rituals, T5 Technology, T3 Blacksmithing, T7 Willpower, N/A Genetics

915Bio-android - T0Magic, T0Rituals, T3 Technology, T0 Blacksmithing, T6 Willpower, T7 Genetics

916Demigod - T2Magic, T1Rituals, T0 Technology, T7 Blacksmithing, T4 Willpower, T3 Genetics

917Demon - T6Magic, T3Rituals, T0 Technology, T3 Blacksmithing, T5 Willpower, T2 Genetics

918Earth Demon - T1 Magic, T1 Rituals, T0 Technology, T1 Blacksmithing, T3 Willpower, T1 Genetics

919Icer - T0Magic, T0Rituals, T0 Technology, T0 Blacksmithing, T6 Willpower, T6 Genetics

920Human - T0Magic, T1Rituals, T5 Technology, T1 Blacksmithing, T1 Willpower, T1 Genetics

921Kai - T4Magic, T3Rituals, T0 Technology, T3 Blacksmithing, T7 Willpower, T2 Genetics

922Makyo - T3Magic, T0Rituals, T1 Technology, T0 Blacksmithing, T3 Willpower, T1 Genetics

923Majin - T6Magic, T0Rituals, T0 Technology, T0 Blacksmithing, T5 Willpower, T7 Genetics

924Namek - T3Magic, T3Rituals, T0 Technology, T0 Blacksmithing, T3 Willpower, T2 Genetics

925Spirit Doll - T2 Magic, T0Rituals, T0 Technology, T0 Blacksmithing, T3 Willpower, T1 Genetics

926Tsujin - T0 Magic, T0Rituals, T6 Technology, T3 Blacksmithing, T2 Willpower, T1 Genetics

927Saiyan - T0 Magic, T0Rituals, T0 Technology, T0 Blacksmithing, T6 Willpower, T6 Genetics

928Half Saiyan - T0 Magic, T0 Rituals, T5 Technology, T1 Blacksmithing, T5 Willpower, T7 Genetics
929

930But what are all of these skills and what exactly do they do I hear you ask? Well, they each have their own personal important rolls in this system that allows the player to go down their own various branches of things. They work as follows
931

932Magic - Is simply the skill that deals with magical affairs, this is used by those of you who want to take a trip into the magical aspect of things by casting spells on yourself, Others and if you're skilled enough... create global effects
933

934Rituals - are a quite rare skill, Not many races are talented in them however they can prove to be the source of some major changes in the world through summoning creatures, strange items, and can even bring about some powerful mutations to your character if everything goes right.
935

936Technology - Is the skill that handles anything science related, Robotics, Genetics, Medicine... you name it! This skill can let you perform risky experiments and build amazing devices, Be you good or evil technology is always going to be chaotic fun for those of you who lust for power.
937

938Blacksmithing - Is one of the more straightforward skills, It deals with the creation of powerful weapons, armors, and tools for yourself and others these items you craft are usually reflected by truly custom buffs that will have higher than average points to spend to reflect just how much more mighty whatever this great item made is.
939

940Willpower - Is something that reflects your natural ability to resist the effects of mind control and resist magical spells. Those with high willpower only truly need to worry about combat and don't need to worry as much about underhanded tactics used by those who really focused on their skills power
941

942Genetics - Your bodies natural genetics, This skill is an odd one because it's actually more beneficial to have a lower tier in it if you were hoping to acquire powerful and beneficial mutations and evolutions. Those with high tier genetics can resist such effects however and are more prone to injury or mishap should they attempt to still improve themselves.
943

944Now that you understand skills, what skills certain races have, and how your skill tier affects your rolls let's look at what you're going to be rolling against. Each skill besides Genetics and Willpower have eight tiers to them, the eighth tier being the strongest however also the hardest to perform and locked only to characters who have a tier 7 who can roll two 10's in a row.
945

1295
Welcome to Dragon Ball RPG!

1296Thanks to the latest update in the game including a dice rolling feature it's opened up a whole new layer of roleplaying possibilities and elements for the game that this server heavily will be relying on, This isn't going to be your standard dragon universe RP server as the way a number of things function over here are going to be heavily inspired by classic tabletop RPGs only in a much more manageable and easy to learn way. While the core aspect of fighting and training are still going to be the same as they always have, however, the RP aspect of this server will be wildly different and hopefully prove to be both more fun and interesting for everyone who joins in. Everything here is very much a work in progress as this is a completely new thing for DU and we're still working out the best way to implement how things could work here so expect things that end up being a hassle or things that don't work as well as we hoped to be changed over time. With all of that out of the way let me properly welcome you to Dragon Ball RPG we hope to keep this server running for a long while and hopefully prove to be a source of many fun stories and memories for you all!

Heres a link to our Discord
https://discord.gg/5UpXAsQ

Help! how do I get started?

1297

1298
1299
Getting started in all of this can be pretty intimidating especially if you're completely new to the game in general but don't worry! We tried to make all of the information in the game as easy to handle and understand as possible. In order to get players started on this server, both new and old we made an easy to follow checklist to get you on the road to knowing how to both learn the game as well as how to figure out how this server works.

1300

1301
First! if you're completely new to DU look up above and click the "New Player" tab, There it'll list all the important stuff you need to know in order to know how to play this game and what you should be doing.

1302
Second! Click on the rules tab, These are the base things we expect from all players who wish to join this server and also details important information like how fighting works and the proper way to handle emotes and countdowns for various situations.

1303
Third! You're gonna wanna look over in the "RPG Elements" Tab to learn the core aspects of how this exact server is going to work differently than others, Yes it'll look a bit scary but don't worry! You'll get a hang of it fast, it looks more complicated then it really is.

1304

1305
Forth! Look over in story! for those of you who are familiar with this game and have a good amount of time to put into this server and it's growth you can look into applying for a rank, Ranks are special players who get unique and powerful boosts and skills in order to help progress the servers story. Applications, however, are pretty tough! We'll only really accept players who can fit a certain level of quality in their applications for these important roles but don't let that scare you! Even if you get denied after applying you can only get better at RP from there and strive to improve your writing and RP ability so in the future maybe you can get yourself a cool rank!

1306
Fifth! Make your character and explore! Your character stats are going to shape your ability in combat as well as there's a general learning curve to see what's best when you're fighting but don't let that scare you! You can learn over time and experiment to see what build works best for your playstyle, Don't be afraid of dying either because in this game death isn't the end, your story can continue to go on in the afterlife. Just remember you are now your character, You can make up your own goals, personality, and backstory! Your future is completely up to you and the world is yours to shape, Be nice to your fellow players and have fun in the world of Dragon Ball RPG! (Also a little side note here, New players don't be afraid to put yourself out there and jump in on the roleplay with other players, do what you think your character would do and have fun. Also don't be afraid to ask for help OOC if you're confused about anything or don't understand how certain things work, As for more experienced players we encourage you to help out any and all newer players you see and help them to learn the game, this server won't survive without new blood so do try to be as supportive and helpful as you can to those you feel need the help)
