14/6/2010 2:32:59 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Hey
24/6/2010 2:34:09 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar hey
34/6/2010 2:37:43 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I'm curious
44/6/2010 2:38:08 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli about your belief involving magic
54/6/2010 2:38:18 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar yeah?
64/6/2010 2:38:29 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Well, what is wrong with it?
74/6/2010 2:38:59 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Is it evil or something?
84/6/2010 2:40:02 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Is it the work of the devil? o.0
94/6/2010 2:40:22 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I have no idea
104/6/2010 2:40:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar no probs. trying to do three chats at the same time, so don't think my silence is being offended or anything. I'm so impossible to offend the only person to ever manage offending me so far in life is Hitler...and he had to do that from the grave...LOL
114/6/2010 2:41:11 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Haha
124/6/2010 2:41:14 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I see
134/6/2010 2:41:45 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Well, it's just strange to me
144/6/2010 2:41:58 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Never had anyone say they can't play anything with magic in it before
154/6/2010 2:42:43 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I understand.
164/6/2010 2:42:51 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, first, what is your definition of magic?
174/6/2010 2:43:49 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Well
184/6/2010 2:44:23 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli It's.....what wizards use to cast spells I guess
194/6/2010 2:44:24 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
204/6/2010 2:44:46 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli or anyone trained in the magical art of course
214/6/2010 2:45:21 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli It's really different in each work of fantasy
224/6/2010 2:45:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, let's say that I cast a spell to make a chair float. What is making that chair float?
234/6/2010 2:45:27 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli and I read a lot of fantasy
244/6/2010 2:45:32 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar in real life...
254/6/2010 2:45:40 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli There's no such thing
264/6/2010 2:45:43 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli as real life magic...
274/6/2010 2:45:45 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
284/6/2010 2:46:21 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Well, tricks from magicians is considered magic
294/6/2010 2:46:40 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but, I wouldn't consider that so of course
304/6/2010 2:46:51 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli since, they're not really using magic
314/6/2010 2:47:07 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli just....making you think they are
324/6/2010 2:47:25 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but I don't think there's such a thing as real magic
334/6/2010 2:47:27 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar well, there are real life witches who can cast many of the spells you think are just in games or books.
344/6/2010 2:47:43 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Okay
354/6/2010 2:48:02 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You think those are just parlor tricks then?
364/6/2010 2:48:16 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli On magician shows, mostly, yes
374/6/2010 2:48:28 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar what about from real life witches?
384/6/2010 2:48:38 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I dunno
394/6/2010 2:48:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Ok.
404/6/2010 2:49:17 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, there are those who believe that magic doesn't really exist.
414/6/2010 2:49:22 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I'm guessing you line most up with them.
424/6/2010 2:49:46 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Then there are those who believe that magic is some...unseen energy source or power of the mind that just magically causes things to happen.
434/6/2010 2:49:54 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Then, there is the Biblical view of magic.
444/6/2010 2:50:33 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Imagine for a second that your friend orders a chair to float and you see it floating.
454/6/2010 2:50:48 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You walk around, under, sweep your hand over...examine it perfectly and find that there are no tricks being used.
464/6/2010 2:50:55 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Seems like magic.
474/6/2010 2:51:17 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, perhaps your friend could have another friend there, someone with a cloaking device so you can't see them.
484/6/2010 2:51:31 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar What you see as a floating chair is simply a chair being held up in the air by someone you can't see.
494/6/2010 2:51:48 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Who, everytime you come near while examining the chair shifts to a different side of the chair so you don't touch them.
504/6/2010 2:51:55 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In the Biblical view, that is what magic is.
514/6/2010 2:52:07 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli It is?
524/6/2010 2:52:10 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Demons can't be seen or felt unless God or they choose for them to be seen.
534/6/2010 2:52:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So, when a witch orders a chair to float...there is no weird unseen energy or magical force doing it.
544/6/2010 2:52:36 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar There is a demon you can't see or touch holding it up.
554/6/2010 2:52:45 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I see
564/6/2010 2:53:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The cloaking device isn't the Biblical explanation, was a non-spiritual means of explaining the spiritual aspect the Bible gives for how magic is conducted.
574/6/2010 2:53:25 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, when I work...I am an American worker.
584/6/2010 2:53:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar My work benefits my country.
594/6/2010 2:53:40 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When my friend in Australia works, his work benefits Australia.
604/6/2010 2:53:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When the demons work, their work benefits satan and their kingdom of wickedness.
614/6/2010 2:54:07 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When angels work, their work benefits God and the kingdom of righteousness.
624/6/2010 2:54:19 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So, when magic is performed, a demon is at work, making magic a work for the devil.
634/6/2010 2:55:12 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Which is why Christians who believe the Bible is 100% true, that we are to live completely by it, and that believe it is to be taken literally do not read anything or play anything or watch anything with magic.
644/6/2010 2:55:17 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but, couldn't it be an angel you can't see or touch holding the chair up? o.0
654/6/2010 2:56:13 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God uses prophets not witches for that.
664/6/2010 2:56:27 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And even then, there are very strict guidelines and rules followed to avoid any potential for mistake.
674/6/2010 2:59:12 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So, how do you distinguish a witch from a prophet?
684/6/2010 2:59:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar brb
694/6/2010 3:08:35 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar A little difficult to explain.
704/6/2010 3:09:01 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, a prophet never tells a prophecy that doesn't come ot pass and prophecies are always exact and detailed.
714/6/2010 3:09:40 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So can a witch be both a male or a female?
724/6/2010 3:09:44 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Prophets also perform miracles, not magic...and they do so under order from God, not of their own will.
734/6/2010 3:09:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Yes, a witch can be either.
744/6/2010 3:09:57 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I see
754/6/2010 3:10:17 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar There are different terms for witches such as druids, wizards, seers, witches, mages, sorcerer, etcetera.
764/6/2010 3:10:36 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And they can be either gender. It typically depends on the cult/religion/society.
774/6/2010 3:12:42 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So, you believe the bible is 100% true and completely live by it?
784/6/2010 3:13:27 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar definitely.
794/6/2010 3:14:48 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So, you believe homosexuality is a sin?
804/6/2010 3:14:54 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I do.
814/6/2010 3:16:02 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Aren't there a lot of sexist things in the bible though?
824/6/2010 3:16:09 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Like?
834/6/2010 3:16:22 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Idk...
844/6/2010 3:16:24 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Let me see
854/6/2010 3:17:07 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli "As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."
864/6/2010 3:18:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The Church is highly symbolic of our relationship with Christ just as is the marraige.
874/6/2010 3:18:37 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Everything is in a trinity.
884/6/2010 3:18:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They three are separate and one.
894/6/2010 3:19:00 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Just as we are with the body, soul, and spirit.
904/6/2010 3:19:18 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The marraige involves husband, wife, and God.
914/6/2010 3:19:33 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The Church is God, Pastor, and congregation.
924/6/2010 3:19:49 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In each, there is an order of leadership.
934/6/2010 3:20:25 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In the marraige, the husband represents the role of Christ, the head of the church.
944/6/2010 3:20:39 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And as such, is called the priest of the household Biblically.
954/6/2010 3:20:53 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar This is not to say that the wife is a slave to her husband, but that she recognizes his spiritual leadership.
964/6/2010 3:21:10 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In the church, when a husband and wife attend, there are two mergings of spiritual symbols.
974/6/2010 3:21:25 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That of the church (God, Pastor, Congregation) and that of the marraige (God, Husband, Wife).
984/6/2010 3:22:15 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar As the husband is the spiritual leader, he is held to a higher responsibility to study, understand, and know the Word of God than the wife is. She is expected to as a follower of Christ, but the husband has the deeper duty/responsibility to as it is he who must guide his wife in the Word.
994/6/2010 3:22:23 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The Husband will actually be judged of God according to this.
1004/6/2010 3:23:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So, when a woman interrupts her husband trying to understand the sermon, she prevents him from hearing what may be of importance and therefore prevents him from being able to study, understand, and explain it at a time when he could so most knowledgeably and efficiently.
1014/6/2010 3:24:22 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Okay, I understand that, makes sense I guess
1024/6/2010 3:24:43 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli What about "I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent."?
1034/6/2010 3:24:58 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So all female teachers are commiting a sin? o.0
1044/6/2010 3:25:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar By female teachers, you mean in a school or those teaching spiritual matters in a church?
1054/6/2010 3:25:56 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I don't know, this segment of the verse doesn't specify
1064/6/2010 3:26:13 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It should be in the same chapter as the previous verse if I remember right.
1074/6/2010 3:26:22 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Is it?
1084/6/2010 3:26:43 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli 1 Corinthians chapter 14 is the first one
1094/6/2010 3:26:46 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli and this one is....
1104/6/2010 3:26:52 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli 1 Timothy chapter 2
1114/6/2010 3:27:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar O(ne second. I'll look it up. Make sure I read it in context :)
1124/6/2010 3:27:20 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Okay
1134/6/2010 3:28:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Yeah, the chapter is speaking of the spiritual.
1144/6/2010 3:28:25 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar A woman is not intended to teach men in the church (goes back to the spiritual symbolism)
1154/6/2010 3:28:31 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Nor to have authority over the man.
1164/6/2010 3:28:53 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Doing so would symbolically be the man trying to teach God or usurp authority from God.
1174/6/2010 3:29:10 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, the Bible does say that the woman is the man's helpmeet.
1184/6/2010 3:29:22 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And in many locations refers to her as a great advisor of wisdom.
1194/6/2010 3:30:09 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So, it isn't that she is a slave, but rather the right place right time concept.
1204/6/2010 3:30:34 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar After all, in the Old Testament, one of the greatest judges Israel ever had was a woman and she was favored by and blessed of God.
1214/6/2010 3:31:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar As judges do have authority over others, it shows that women are not meant to be slaves, but rather that there is a time and a place for all things.
1224/6/2010 3:31:46 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Just as you and I wouldn't enter a courtroom and start singing or try to usurp authority from the judge, so also in a church where God establishes the leadership or in a marraige where God has established his spiritual priest one who is not meant for that position would not do the same.
1234/6/2010 3:32:40 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I see
1244/6/2010 3:33:13 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So, you believe homosexuality is a sin
1254/6/2010 3:33:14 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but
1264/6/2010 3:34:02 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, going along the same spiritual symbolism.
1274/6/2010 3:34:39 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar the man symbolizes the role of christ.
1284/6/2010 3:34:54 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Taking marraige, a sacred uniting of two individuals by God...
1294/6/2010 3:35:06 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but do you really think they should be put to death for commiting homosexual acts?
1304/6/2010 3:35:36 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When two men are in such a relationship, both then represent the role of Christ...and as Christ can not marry Himself and the idea of such is blasphemou it is actually an act that desecrates, mocks, and attacks the very image of God.
1314/6/2010 3:35:53 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Likewise also in the role of two women as such removes the role of Christ completely.
1324/6/2010 3:36:06 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well...now we get into the more complex.
1334/6/2010 3:36:07 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar LOL
1344/6/2010 3:36:14 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The short answer is no.
1354/6/2010 3:36:21 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The long answer is yes then and no now.
1364/6/2010 3:36:30 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli ...
1374/6/2010 3:36:36 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
1384/6/2010 3:36:37 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I'll try to simplify it as much as I can.
1394/6/2010 3:36:55 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Back in the Old Testament man was under a MUCH stricter law than we are now under the New Testament.
1404/6/2010 3:37:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Since Christ has died, we are now saved by His blood and grace. The shedding of His blood cleanses us from our sins when we sincerely repent and follow after Him.
1414/6/2010 3:37:46 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Back in the Old Testament, Christ had not yet been crucified and therefore, man was not yet covered under Christ's blood.
1424/6/2010 3:38:08 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar strict adherence to God's laws was an absolute must for ssalvation and sin had much greater hold on mankind and the world itself.
1434/6/2010 3:39:07 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Homosexuality back then as opposed to now would have carried with it a much different...severity in the spiritual realm.
1444/6/2010 3:39:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You have to realize, that two realms exist. That in which we live and the one in which demons and angels occupy us. Though both realms take up the same space and can interact, there are different consequences in each.
1454/6/2010 3:40:00 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar What we do can affect them, and what they do can affect us.
1464/6/2010 3:40:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When we become too wicked as a society on a global or even national level...it can become to such a degree that it is beyond saving.
1474/6/2010 3:40:32 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That is what happened to the world with the Great Flood.
1484/6/2010 3:40:35 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And it will happen again.
1494/6/2010 3:40:39 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Two more times actually.
1504/6/2010 3:40:48 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Not a Great Flood, but that level of wickedness.
1514/6/2010 3:41:28 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Because of Christ's shed blood, under a New Testament, sinning no longer carries the same extremity of conequence that it could literally prevent our entry into heaven.
1524/6/2010 3:41:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Rather, if you are saved, trying to live for God, and sincerely repentant for your sins, your sin will not prevent you from entering into heaven.
1534/6/2010 3:42:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In the Old Testament, sin could have because Christ's blood was not shed and therefore could not cleanse us. That is why animal sacrifice was necessary as a symbolic representation of the blood Christ would someday shed for us.
1544/6/2010 3:42:48 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Homosexuality is deemed an equivalent to witchcraft Biblically.
1554/6/2010 3:43:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar NO sin is worse than that of Witchcraft except Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
1564/6/2010 3:44:02 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Therefore, if the most extreme sins were permitted to flourish, the world would reach a point of such wickedness that another world-wide consequence would be necessary to save countless future generations of humans from eternity in hell...which is what the Great Flood was.
1574/6/2010 3:44:37 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If not for the Great Flood, the world would have continued in that state of wickedness, each generation worse than the previous...each so wicked we would be incapable of accepting Christ because of our hearts being hardened.
1584/6/2010 3:44:53 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The Great Flood was a means of saving you and I from that kind of eternity.
1594/6/2010 3:45:12 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar as was the Old Testament laws requiring that such wickedness be stopped through death.
1604/6/2010 3:45:23 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You could view it in this sense.
1614/6/2010 3:46:25 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If you knew two trains were going to be destroyed by a bomb...one would be empty but have the driver in it...the other would be full of people...and you could only warn one train...which would you warn? Either way, someone dies, but do you kill many for the sake of one or one for the sake of many?
1624/6/2010 3:47:18 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Difference is, with these laws that required death...everyone dies no matter what decision is made, the more important factor becomes the eternal future of countless future generations.
1634/6/2010 3:47:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar sorry, that was much longer than I meant to make it...lol
1644/6/2010 3:47:38 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli No worries, lol
1654/6/2010 3:47:40 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I read it all
1664/6/2010 3:48:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar :D
1674/6/2010 3:48:49 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I'm glad you don't think I should die :P
1684/6/2010 3:49:20 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar There are not many the Bible still supports the death penalty for in the New Testament.
1694/6/2010 3:49:32 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Murderers and rapists are pretty much the only two that I know of offhand.
1704/6/2010 3:49:51 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Wait wait
1714/6/2010 3:49:58 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Murderers should be put to death
1724/6/2010 3:50:06 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Doesn't that make the person that puts them to death a murderer?
1734/6/2010 3:50:17 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar No.
1744/6/2010 3:50:43 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar To murder is to kill an individual without just cause. When we put someone to death, it is a direct consequence of their actions.
1754/6/2010 3:51:08 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Also, murderers are always repeat offenders...something that law enforcement is just now figuring out.
1764/6/2010 3:51:21 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The same is also true with rapists.
1774/6/2010 3:51:33 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, let's view it more this way.
1784/6/2010 3:52:00 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If I come to your house, pick up your computer and throw it on the ground than bash it to pieces with a sledge hammer...do I owe you a new pc?
1794/6/2010 3:52:12 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Yes?
1804/6/2010 3:52:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In the same regard.
1814/6/2010 3:53:02 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God forms us all in the womb. He owns us all. He has chosen to give us free will to decide if we would rather spend an eternity in hell with the devil or an eternity in heaven with Him. But in choosing, we must also live for Him in this life if we wish to life with Him in eternity.
1824/6/2010 3:53:21 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So, when I or you or anyone else murders someone without just cause, they have stolen a life from God.
1834/6/2010 3:53:58 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That is a life that could be spending an eternity in hell because that individual never got saved...and might have. Or, it could be an individual now in heaven with God that could have saved someone else from hell that is now going to spend an eternity there without that witness.
1844/6/2010 3:54:14 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Not to mention that when you kill someone, you prevent future generations from being born from that person.
1854/6/2010 3:54:36 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Therefore, you don't just take a single life from God, but countless lives...and you affect the eternal security of many in the same stroke.
1864/6/2010 3:55:01 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Therefore, you owe to God what you have taken from Him, and that debt is paid with your life. As you have stolen a life from God, God requires a life from you.
1874/6/2010 3:55:34 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In the same sense that we would take a criminal before a judge for theft, etcetera...so also through death we bring a murderer before God for his trial.
1884/6/2010 3:57:33 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Wouldn't the person dying just take another life from God?
1894/6/2010 3:57:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, going back to that pc.
1904/6/2010 3:58:03 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Let's say it is a $500 pc.
1914/6/2010 3:58:18 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Me buying you the pc takes a pc away from me that I could've bought for myself.
1924/6/2010 3:58:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar basically, a pc for a pc.
1934/6/2010 3:58:31 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In the same sense, a life for a life.
1944/6/2010 3:59:46 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli God doesn't get the person's life though, he just takes it away from them?
1954/6/2010 4:00:17 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli That would be like me having you repay destroying my computer by destroying yours
1964/6/2010 4:00:20 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli That doesn't help anyone
1974/6/2010 4:00:29 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, there is a slight difference.
1984/6/2010 4:00:35 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You don't own my pc to make that requirement of me.
1994/6/2010 4:00:49 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Where as God owns all life and therefore is requiring what is already His for something else of His.
2004/6/2010 4:01:38 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In this sense, if you had an old obsolete pc in your house but you wanted a new one to handle the newest games. But, every pc you brought in was destroyed by a virus the obsolete one wirelessly sent to the new ones. Would you not get rid of the old pc?
2014/6/2010 4:01:47 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but, not all murderers are put to death....
2024/6/2010 4:02:20 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It's true that as a society we choose to live by our own rules rather than God's. But that doesn't make God's law any less required.
2034/6/2010 4:02:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Nor does it mean that somehow God has lost ownership of our lives.
2044/6/2010 4:02:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It's the same as a Farmer shooting a fox to protect the chickens. When we put a murder to death, it protects the rest of society as well.
2054/6/2010 4:03:15 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Every time we commit a sin for the first time, it makes it easier to do again.
2064/6/2010 4:03:38 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Eventually, you do something enough times and you don't even think about or notice that you are doing it. It becomes second nature.
2074/6/2010 4:03:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That is where we get serial killers from. Individuals who got away with murder for so long that it eventually became who they are.
2084/6/2010 4:04:16 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Why doesn't God see to it that the murderers are put to death?
2094/6/2010 4:04:24 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
2104/6/2010 4:04:55 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When God created man, He chose to show us love. He didn't create machines or robots programmed to obey Him, but rather human beings capable of choosing whether or not we want to love Him.
2114/6/2010 4:05:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That is where Free Will comes in.
2124/6/2010 4:05:19 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You have to live by the consequences of your actions in this life or the next. And possibly in both.
2134/6/2010 4:05:34 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, you have the Free Will to make that decision because God loves you.
2144/6/2010 4:06:14 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar He would rather you choose to hate Him, than force you to love Him. Because real love does not force you into loving in return.
2154/6/2010 4:06:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Don't get me wrong, He desires for us ALL to love Him and spend eternity with Him. But He loves us enough that He won't force us to.
2164/6/2010 4:08:45 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli You mean he desires us all to spend eternity with him....so long as we follow his rules?
2174/6/2010 4:10:18 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar it's not really like that. If I invite you to my house for dinner and give you a set of directions as to how to get to my house from yours...the only way you'll get to my house is by following those instructions.
2184/6/2010 4:10:32 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You can't drive in the opposite direction, or go to other cities, etcetera to reach my house.
2194/6/2010 4:10:42 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but couldn't he make all people come to Heaven regarldess of what they do?
2204/6/2010 4:10:44 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If you choose to drive away from my house, you won't be able to have dinner there.
2214/6/2010 4:11:22 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar it is impossible for sin to enter into heaven. Therefore, if you choose to live a lifestyle of sin, you will have sin when you die and therefore can not enter.
2224/6/2010 4:11:53 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If you are saved, you are choosing to live for God. Regardless of what mistakes you do, if you are sincerely sorry He will forgive you and you will enter into Heaven because Christ's blood cleanses you from those sins.
2234/6/2010 4:12:00 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but he's God, couldn't he make it possible for sin to enter Heaven?
2244/6/2010 4:12:54 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I guess it wouldn't be Heaven anymore if sin entered it...
2254/6/2010 4:12:57 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
2264/6/2010 4:13:12 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Wouldn't that be a bit cruel though? Earth was at one time sinless like Heaven is. There were no eartquakes, storms, nothing was poisonous, there was no death, no crime, no hate, no sadness, no pain, no anger, not even lions were carnivorous.
2274/6/2010 4:13:43 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When earth became sinful, all that changed. Roses grew thorns, certain plants became poisonous, murders began to occur as well as rapes, there was death, sorrow and pain entered into the world.
2284/6/2010 4:13:54 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Heaven is a place of eternity. sin is a poison that corrupts.
2294/6/2010 4:14:20 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Right, so he wants everyone to come to Heaven but he won't bring the sinners in because it would ruin it for everyone else
2304/6/2010 4:14:25 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Makes sense
2314/6/2010 4:14:37 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If heaven were to allow even a speck of sin inside, it would become as earth has become. God loves us so much that He would not allow us to be subjected to such an eternity.
2324/6/2010 4:15:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It's not that the sinners would ruin it for everyone else, the sin they carry would. It is a choice that they made, not that God has made.
2334/6/2010 4:15:44 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When you tell your child to wash their hands before they eat to prevent them from getting sick because they played outside with wild animals all day...it is not because their dirty hands ruins dinner for everyone. It is to keep them and everyone at the table healthy.
2344/6/2010 4:15:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If your child refuses to wash their hands, your child has chosen not to eat. It is not you who has chosen they can't.
2354/6/2010 4:16:20 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God sends no one to hell. We choose to go there by refusing to let His Son wash away our sins.
2364/6/2010 4:16:57 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli That wasn't sarcasm in those last messages btw lol
2374/6/2010 4:17:02 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Seemed like it when I reread it
2384/6/2010 4:17:07 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar lol...
2394/6/2010 4:17:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar ok :)
2404/6/2010 4:17:21 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Anyway, yeah, we got way off topic
2414/6/2010 4:17:41 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Okay, so magic may work that way with the demons and whatnot in the real world
2424/6/2010 4:17:51 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but that's not how it works in the game
2434/6/2010 4:17:57 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli and it's just fictional, everything is made up
2444/6/2010 4:18:04 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli so I don't understand why you can't play it
2454/6/2010 4:18:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well...
2464/6/2010 4:18:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Let's take murder. If in a game your job was to go around murdering and raping people would that game be ok to play?
2474/6/2010 4:18:47 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli um...
2484/6/2010 4:20:30 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli It would be okay to murder in the game if in the game everyone was resurrected after being murdered, with no pain or torment of course during the murdering process
2494/6/2010 4:21:01 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar how about rape?
2504/6/2010 4:21:42 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli if people liked being raped in the game and doing so gave them eternal happiness for the rest of their life, then yes?
2514/6/2010 4:22:48 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli What I'm saying is magic is okay in the game because it doesn't work with demons like in real life, it's fiction, everything is changed
2524/6/2010 4:22:58 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar rape is by definition to force sexual activity on someone who is not willing to participate.
2534/6/2010 4:23:16 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but the definition of magic is changed in the game...
2544/6/2010 4:23:21 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar IF the individual wants it to happen to them it is consensual and therefore not rape since rape can not be consensual.
2554/6/2010 4:23:26 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli compared to the religious definition
2564/6/2010 4:23:31 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli it's not the same thing at all
2574/6/2010 4:23:47 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli it's just something different with the same name
2584/6/2010 4:24:09 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli so you shouldn't think doing it in the game is evil...
2594/6/2010 4:25:14 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I assure you when Lance wrote in the design doc what choosing to cast a fireball does, he mentioned nothing of demons :P
2604/6/2010 4:25:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar lol...
2614/6/2010 4:25:29 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I believe that ;)
2624/6/2010 4:26:02 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar However, in the Old Testament, there is an actual verse which states that even those pretending to be witches were to be put to death.
2634/6/2010 4:26:25 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but, that's the old testament
2644/6/2010 4:26:26 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
2654/6/2010 4:26:29 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Therefore depicting that even fictionally performing sin is performing the real sin.
2664/6/2010 4:26:36 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And in the New Tstament there is this verse:
2674/6/2010 4:26:43 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
2684/6/2010 4:27:06 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Showing once again that when we fantasize about or in any way fictionalize a sin we are actually performing the sinful deed as if in real life.
2694/6/2010 4:27:47 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli so, by that logic, people should die for killing people in video games? :S
2704/6/2010 4:28:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, there has been strong evidence showing that individuals who play games promoting murder tend to be far more violent in real life as well.
2714/6/2010 4:28:47 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar However, I wouldn't say that the Bible promotes the same punishment for what one does in a video game as if they had done it in real life.
2724/6/2010 4:29:05 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In the spiritual realm, it is the same...and the consequences are the same.
2734/6/2010 4:29:24 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, in our physical realm, while yes it is a sin it is not something to be put to death for.
2744/6/2010 4:29:34 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, playing war games would be ok.
2754/6/2010 4:29:42 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Playing games promoting murder would not.
2764/6/2010 4:30:51 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but, again, you say those pretending to be witches were to be put to death
2774/6/2010 4:31:20 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but in the game you're not pretending to use demons to use magic....
2784/6/2010 4:31:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Sin had much more extreme effects on the world and society back in the Old Testament than it does today.
2794/6/2010 4:31:30 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli It's completely different
2804/6/2010 4:31:39 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar For example, if you are a Christian and you sin and you are sincerely sorry, you can still go to heaven.
2814/6/2010 4:31:40 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar BUT...
2824/6/2010 4:31:56 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar in the old testament if you followed after God and you sinned even once in your life you could not go to heaven.
2834/6/2010 4:32:00 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You would not go to hell either though.
2844/6/2010 4:32:13 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But since Christ did not die on the cross yet, your sins could not be washed away.
2854/6/2010 4:32:29 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Rather, you had to go to Abraham's Bosom. It is a place the Bible describes as having existing back then.
2864/6/2010 4:32:57 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It is where those who had followed after God could go until Christ died on the cross. When He died on the cross, their sins could then be washed away and they would enter into Heaven.
2874/6/2010 4:33:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So, as you can see, sin had a much more extreme effect on the saved back then than it does on us now. In the same respect, it would also have a more extreme effect on the unsaved back then than it has on the unsaved now.
2884/6/2010 4:33:41 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I understand that
2894/6/2010 4:33:52 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli and killing people in a game I can understand
2904/6/2010 4:34:00 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli being a sin
2914/6/2010 4:34:13 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but
2924/6/2010 4:34:29 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli you're not using invisible demons in Dragon Wars...
2934/6/2010 4:34:48 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Do you really think I'm sinning by playing the game?
2944/6/2010 4:34:55 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
2954/6/2010 4:34:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar lol
2964/6/2010 4:35:15 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If there were no demons and no spiritual realm, then it probably wouldn't matter in a fictional aspect.
2974/6/2010 4:35:17 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I don't know though.
2984/6/2010 4:35:39 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar However, when you are looking at the game you are looking at the physical aspect of the game and not the connection it has with the spiritual realm.
2994/6/2010 4:36:05 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The second you apply something fictional or not fictional with magic, a demon will connect itself to that object with or without your permission. There is no stopping it.
3004/6/2010 4:37:15 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That demon could be one who is assigned to cause those who use it or own it to be depressed, more angry, sad, prideful, arrogant, addicted to the game/book, addicted to something completely unrelated to the object (anything at all as long as their addiction is great enough to prevent them from having a desire to focus more on God), or to do any sin such as sexual acts, lying, etcetera.
3014/6/2010 4:37:40 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, that is all happening in the spiritual realm, where you can't see it. And demons will operate in a slow enough manner where you might not even notice the change in yourself.
3024/6/2010 4:38:09 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Our activities in this physical realm strengthen the angels or the demons.
3034/6/2010 4:38:09 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So, I am sinning....on accident.....when I play it? :|
3044/6/2010 4:38:32 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, unkowingly you were. But from this point on you know it is wrong and that is a choice you have to make.
3054/6/2010 4:38:41 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God is not going to force you to stop playing it.
3064/6/2010 4:39:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, if you truly desire an eternity with Him, that is a choice you will want to make. Not that it will be easy or that it will make you happy right off...but, when you choose to follow God, you will have a desire to follow after Him.
3074/6/2010 4:40:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And turning to God doesn't require that you agree with everything in the Bible either. You simply recognize that He knows what is best for you even when you don't agree with what He has to say. It is then by faith that you live by His Word and He will in time bring you to a point of understanding so that you will see His wisdom and understand why He has made the commandments He has.
3084/6/2010 4:42:02 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Understand, I don't view you in a bad light because you play games with magic.
3094/6/2010 4:42:17 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar We are commanded not to look down on the unsaved, only sin.
3104/6/2010 4:43:01 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So, regardless of the choice you make, it doesn't affect whether we play CB or chat. It does affect your relationship with God however as it is a choice you have to make.
3114/6/2010 4:43:32 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli A lot of religious people don't feel that way though...
3124/6/2010 4:43:36 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When you choose to make the decision to marry or not to, that is between you and the lady involved. I can't look down on you for that decision. In the same sense, the decision to follow after God is between you and him.
3134/6/2010 4:44:03 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That's because a lot of people follow Christianity as if it were a religion.
3144/6/2010 4:44:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Christianity is not a religion. It is a relationship.
3154/6/2010 4:44:31 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It is a choice to have the relationship with God that we were all meant to have.
3164/6/2010 4:45:18 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Unfortunately, we are in the End Days the Bible speaks of. We are nearing a time when God will judge the world for its sins. And there will come a point where the hearts of the unsaved will be so hardened that no one will turn to God no matter how much He tries to reach out to them.
3174/6/2010 4:45:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar One of the things about the End Days that God predicted in scripture was that the church would turn away from Him.
3184/6/2010 4:46:22 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar There are MANY who claim to be Christians, but they don't follow after God. They have created their own version of God and will claim that it is in the Bible when it isn't.
3194/6/2010 4:46:50 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Soe of them are extremists who only care about judging others. They don't have God's love in them and only want to live in pride looking down on everyone.
3204/6/2010 4:47:21 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar There are those who just want to do whatever they please and still go to heaven. They can't do that, but they'll live life stealing, lying, have sex outside of marraige, etcetera.
3214/6/2010 4:47:35 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Many churches even have pastors now-a-days that do not live for God.
3224/6/2010 4:47:50 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, this was all predicted in the Bible thousands of years ago that it would happen in the End Days.
3234/6/2010 4:48:07 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When it comes down to Christianity, it isn't about the Christians, non-Christians, or false Christians around you.
3244/6/2010 4:48:21 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It is only about you and your relationship with God. It is about whether you choose to follow after Him.
3254/6/2010 4:48:38 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God is not a dictator. He doesn't care about your past sins or your current ones.
3264/6/2010 4:48:48 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar He doesn't care about all the mistakes you will make after you turn to Him.
3274/6/2010 4:49:25 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar He cares about only one thing, that you turn to Him and do your best to live for Him. Because no matter what sin you commit after salvation, as long as you are turly sorry for it, He will act as if it never happened.
3284/6/2010 4:49:42 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Infact, He promises to cast your sin as far as the east is from the west, meaning He literally forgets it ever happened.
3294/6/2010 4:49:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar He will not remember it, ever bring it up, or anything.
3304/6/2010 4:50:10 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar He cares more about your relationship with Him than anything else.
3314/6/2010 4:50:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Think of living for God like this.
3324/6/2010 4:50:23 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Every friendship has rules.
3334/6/2010 4:50:42 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You don't sleep with your friend's wife. You don't make up horrible lies about your friend behind their back.
3344/6/2010 4:50:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar YOu don't disrespect your friend especially in his own home.
3354/6/2010 4:50:55 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Okay, so, can't you just think of the captains in the game as prophets, and that the spells come from God?
3364/6/2010 4:51:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Every relationship has its rules and a relationship with God isn't any different.
3374/6/2010 4:52:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Doing that would be the same as sleeping with my friend's wife and pretending she is mine. It doesn't make it right.
3384/6/2010 4:52:38 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar magic is of the devil, pretending it is of God doesn't make it any more right in the spiritual realm. If anything, it would make it even more wrong.
3394/6/2010 4:52:57 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli It's not pretending
3404/6/2010 4:53:07 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli What if he writes it into the game that they're prophets?
3414/6/2010 4:54:19 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar and change spells to miracles and such. Then the Prophets would have to be of God and that would requiring making it a Christian game.
3424/6/2010 4:54:36 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Can't they be Greek prophets?
3434/6/2010 4:54:41 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I'm not sure if that would be ok or not since Prophets of God do not try to kill each other...lol
3444/6/2010 4:54:45 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol..
3454/6/2010 4:55:15 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, a Greek can be saved, but he would be a Greek Prophet of God not for a false god. If he were a prophet for anyone except the God, it would be magic even if you called it miracles.
3464/6/2010 4:55:46 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I've had the same struggle for the past couple years to be honest. I want to create a christian game along the same lines of my Cold Wars Legacy genre, but it's hard to figure a way to do that.
3474/6/2010 4:56:21 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So, you wouldn't play a Greek city builder game where the Greek Gods do miracles?
3484/6/2010 4:56:41 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If I did, I would be sinning.
3494/6/2010 4:56:57 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Anyway, why are war games fine?
3504/6/2010 4:57:03 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli thou shalt not kill seems pretty straightforward to me
3514/6/2010 4:57:29 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar War is not bad if fought for the right reason.
3524/6/2010 4:57:37 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar For example, fighting a war for the sake of killing is wrong.
3534/6/2010 4:57:51 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Fighting war for to save lives (like America did in WW2) or for self defense is ok.
3544/6/2010 4:58:17 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If you are playing a war game in which the only objective in the storyline is to enjoy murdering people than yeah, it is wrong.
3554/6/2010 4:58:48 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But if the goal is something like WW2 where we are trying to defend ourselves or an ally...or trying to save lives or stop some evil dictator from killing people, etcetera than it is ok.
3564/6/2010 4:58:51 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Does it say that in the bible?
3574/6/2010 4:59:06 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli that killing for self defense or to save lives is okay?
3584/6/2010 4:59:27 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Yes. I don't have the exact reference, but it does.
3594/6/2010 4:59:41 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Infact, God ordered Israel to defend themselves through war on MANY occassions.
3604/6/2010 5:00:25 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar War is not something that we should desire or look forward to, but often times it is the only way to stop evil.
3614/6/2010 5:00:32 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Take a look at the problems in the middle east.
3624/6/2010 5:00:45 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Those problems are due to the nations of the world and the U.N. constantly preventing war from taking place.
3634/6/2010 5:01:12 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Evil people stay in power, they fund terrorists that bomb and launch missiles into Israel and fly planes into buildings in America, try to blow up trains in France, England, and Russia.
3644/6/2010 5:01:39 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar They are all arring with Israel right now. But, the UN thinking it is preventing war is only preventing Israel from defending itself and Israel's allies from helping defending Israel.
3654/6/2010 5:02:02 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If Israel defended itself properly those nations would lose the war and they would no longer be able to torment Israel.
3664/6/2010 5:02:10 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Look at Palestine. Palestine is not even a nation.
3674/6/2010 5:02:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It is not recognized as a nation by the UN.
3684/6/2010 5:02:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Historical records prove that land belongs to Israel.
3694/6/2010 5:02:48 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Yet, countless times Israel has given up land to Palestine to get terrorists to agree to stop bombinb their nation.
3704/6/2010 5:03:00 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In return, the terrorists stop for a month and the bomb Israel some more demanding more land.
3714/6/2010 5:03:32 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Stopping people from defending themselves only results in increased violence which over time results in more deaths than if someone had just defended themselves to begin with.
3724/6/2010 5:03:39 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So what if you play on the Axis side in a world war 2 game? Is that sinning?
3734/6/2010 5:04:49 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I have odne that in a few games. When I do it isn't for the sake of helping the axis win the war, but rather those games often are educational telling you about the battle you are about to fight. Plus, the educational ones (some of which are the best made war games ever) play along the actual results of the battle so no matter what the battle is lost if it was lost in real life.
3744/6/2010 5:05:01 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar For the sake of the educational aspect, it is ok.
3754/6/2010 5:05:33 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, if you were playing a game that was completely fictional and you were fighting for some evil side who was just performing the war for the fun of watching people die...than that would be wrong.
3764/6/2010 5:08:47 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Okay, so can you play and not use any magical units or spells?
3774/6/2010 5:08:51 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
3784/6/2010 5:09:05 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar lol...they are still in the game.
3794/6/2010 5:09:12 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So?
3804/6/2010 5:09:15 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Even if I choose not to use them, I am choosing to play a game that contains them.
3814/6/2010 5:09:30 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli You're choosing to live in a world that contains sin right now
3824/6/2010 5:09:32 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli What's the difference?
3834/6/2010 5:09:46 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I'm not choosing to live in a world that contains sin...lol
3844/6/2010 5:10:01 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Well, there's si nhere and there's nothing you can do about it
3854/6/2010 5:10:13 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli The game is still going to exist whether you play it or not
3864/6/2010 5:10:20 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I was born into this world. As a Christian it is my duty to use this life God owns for His glory.
3874/6/2010 5:10:22 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli You're not promoting it or anything
3884/6/2010 5:10:33 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar If I were to kill myself, I would be taking away a life that belongs to God and that is sin.
3894/6/2010 5:11:10 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I wouldn't say there is nothing I can do about the sin in this world. I can choose to not participate in the sin and in doing so I keep from advancing and increasing sin.
3904/6/2010 5:11:35 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So also I can choose not to play a game that has something that would be sinful.
3914/6/2010 5:13:22 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Also, is it a sin merely to be homosexual or just to commit homosexual acts?
3924/6/2010 5:14:31 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You believe that some people are just born homosexual then?
3934/6/2010 5:14:45 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Well, I'm attracted to men, not much I can do about it
3944/6/2010 5:14:48 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Seeing them turns me on
3954/6/2010 5:14:56 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I don't choose to be
3964/6/2010 5:16:05 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I would prefer not to be really
3974/6/2010 5:16:18 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, I don't mind discussing this with you, but I do hope that my beliefs and religion won't be something that would offend you to the point where we couldn't be friends though.
3984/6/2010 5:16:28 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Of course not, lol
3994/6/2010 5:16:29 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Don't worry
4004/6/2010 5:16:37 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli and I'm bisexual btw, not homosexual
4014/6/2010 5:16:55 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli but yes, seeing just guys turns me on
4024/6/2010 5:17:35 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, you believe you were born homosexual. What would you say if I told you that you were born a liar?
4034/6/2010 5:17:44 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You didn't have to lie to be a liar, you were a liar when you were born.
4044/6/2010 5:19:23 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You were born with all sins. Murder, rape, etcetera.
4054/6/2010 5:19:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, you can choose to commit them or not to.
4064/6/2010 5:19:49 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, some people have certain diseases coded into their DNA making them more subject to get those diseases.
4074/6/2010 5:19:53 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar For example, Diabetes.
4084/6/2010 5:20:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, eating right and taking care of yourself can prevent it from happening...you just have to be a lot more careful.
4094/6/2010 5:20:47 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The Bible actually talks about sins being generational...and just like disease and other genetic characteristsics that skip generations...so do certain sins.
4104/6/2010 5:21:27 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In other words, we all have sins that we are more subjected to committing. We may have to work harder to avoid them and overcome them, but they will still be more of a temptation for some people than others.
4114/6/2010 5:21:41 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar For example, some people are not tempted by sexual lust but are tempted to steal.
4124/6/2010 5:21:56 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I am not the least bit tempted by stealing but I do have a hard time with lust.
4134/6/2010 5:22:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Some people have a harder time with lying than others.
4144/6/2010 5:22:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Some have harder time with magic than others.
4154/6/2010 5:22:46 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, regardless of what our weakeness is, God promises that He will help us to overcome them. He will always provide a way of escape so that when we are tempted, we have an option to avoid giving into that temptation.
4164/6/2010 5:23:02 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It doesn't make you a homosexual that you are tempted by that sin.
4174/6/2010 5:23:09 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar and temptation is NOT a sin.
4184/6/2010 5:23:27 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar When satan tries to get you to want to do something that is wrong, you have not sinned by being tempted.
4194/6/2010 5:23:38 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, if you start to think about actually doing it or you go through with it, that is a sin.
4204/6/2010 5:23:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar For example, when you start to get tempted by some man you see, that isn't a sin unless you choose to continue be tempted and enjoy it.
4214/6/2010 5:24:30 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar However, if you immediately turn away and refuse to give in to that temptation through fantasy or actual activity than you have actually defeated satan and his demons and God will bless you for that.
4224/6/2010 5:25:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And in time as you do this, if you follow after God, He will help you to overcome it to such a point where the temptation either no longer exists or is so rare that it might as well not exist.
4234/6/2010 5:25:10 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I'll be honest, I'd never steal.
4244/6/2010 5:25:14 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I have never stolen.
4254/6/2010 5:25:22 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I have never entertained the thought of stealing.
4264/6/2010 5:25:42 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, that doesn't mean satan hasn't whispered to me, "Why don't you just take it."
4274/6/2010 5:25:58 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I don't sin by him giving me that thought.
4284/6/2010 5:26:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I sin only if I entertain the thought or consider doing it or actually do it.
4294/6/2010 5:27:12 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So, homosexuality isn't actually a sin? As that's simply being attracted to guys?
4304/6/2010 5:27:18 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Just giving in to that attraction is a sin?
4314/6/2010 5:27:49 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, when satan tempts me to steal that doesn't make me a thief.
4324/6/2010 5:27:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I am not guilty of stealing.
4334/6/2010 5:28:40 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, if satan tempts you by making you feel turned on by other men, if you choose to turn yourself off by looking away and forcing yourself to think of something else than you are not committing homosexuality any more than I am stealing.
4344/6/2010 5:28:43 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That is just the temptation.
4354/6/2010 5:28:57 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You commit homosexuality if you choose to keep looking, or to think about it, or to enjoy being turned on.
4364/6/2010 5:29:17 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar So, the homosexuality is a sin. The initial temptation is not homosexuality, it is simply tempting you to commit homosexuality.
4374/6/2010 5:32:03 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Okay, but you're a homosexual if you're attracted to men
4384/6/2010 5:32:08 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli which is just the temptation
4394/6/2010 5:32:27 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli so simply being a homosexual by definition of the word is not a sin?
4404/6/2010 5:33:36 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, there's God's definition and man's definition. Men don't give allowances. It is in the nature of men to judge and to treat guilt as automatic. Hence, the reason the definition of homosexuality by man's definition makes you guilty before you actually commit it.
4414/6/2010 5:33:41 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I suppose the modern definition may vary from the bible definition
4424/6/2010 5:33:43 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Yeah
4434/6/2010 5:34:09 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God will never judge you as guilty of a sin unless you actually give into it through phantasy, choosing to enjoy it, or giving in completely.
4444/6/2010 5:34:37 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar For example, with my text-based game.
4454/6/2010 5:34:49 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar I will ban a user if I find absolute evidence that he is planning to cheat.
4464/6/2010 5:35:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God, however, is not going to punish you for temptation.
4474/6/2010 5:35:36 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, yes, planning to sin is sinning.
4484/6/2010 5:36:05 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, my point is that mankind tends to jump the gun. We want to place guilt as early as possible and prevent violations from occurring. We try to control everything we can.
4494/6/2010 5:36:34 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God on the other hand will not jump the gun. When He sees the temptation coming, He will not treat you like as if you already are going to entertain it. He lets you have the Free Will to make that choice.
4504/6/2010 5:36:49 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And every temptation is a choice between fathers...satan or God.
4514/6/2010 5:37:12 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar And yes, if you do get saved, you are adopted by God...you become His child...His son.
4524/6/2010 5:37:22 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar The Bible says that we as believers are the sons and daughters of God.
4534/6/2010 5:38:01 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You can bet that God will do all He can to help you with your most difficult addictions if you turn to Him and truly do your best. It may take years, or it may be instant.
4544/6/2010 5:38:18 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar For my mom, her addiciton to smoking was so difficult she couldn't stop for years.
4554/6/2010 5:38:54 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Same with my mother
4564/6/2010 5:39:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Than, one day she claimed faith in God to help her with it. She threw away her last pack even though there were still ciggarettes in it. She has never been tempted to touch them since.
4574/6/2010 5:39:25 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In fact, God has given her a complete change so she is even disgueted by ciggarette smoke.
4584/6/2010 5:39:37 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar While it is not always instant, or easy...He will get you there.
4594/6/2010 5:39:43 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar You ever heard of Job in the Bible?
4604/6/2010 5:40:26 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Job was a man in the Bible who followed God's ways so closely that he was nearly perfect.
4614/6/2010 5:40:50 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Obviously, no one is perfect, but Job tried so hard that he had lived very close to God's ways.
4624/6/2010 5:41:06 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar There was such a hedge of protection around Job that satan couldn't even get near enough to Job to tempt him.
4634/6/2010 5:41:41 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar God did release that hedge of protection to allow satan to tempt Job, however.
4644/6/2010 5:41:49 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Job's children all died.
4654/6/2010 5:41:52 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar He lost all his wealth.
4664/6/2010 5:41:59 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Many of his servants died.
4674/6/2010 5:42:07 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar His wife left him because he refused to curse God.
4684/6/2010 5:42:16 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar His friends ridiculed him and blamed him for his circumstances.
4694/6/2010 5:42:22 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Isn't that a bit cruel to do that to him?
4704/6/2010 5:42:35 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In all of this, Job said, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord."
4714/6/2010 5:42:43 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Ah yes
4724/6/2010 5:42:46 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli I recall that
4734/6/2010 5:42:59 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli My dad used to read my the bible when I was little
4744/6/2010 5:43:01 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli me*
4754/6/2010 5:43:36 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Well, a children's version of it :P
4764/6/2010 5:43:37 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Well, God blessed him greatly for his dedication to God.
4774/6/2010 5:43:38 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli with pictures
4784/6/2010 5:43:48 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli lol
4794/6/2010 5:43:48 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar 12So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
4804/6/2010 5:44:07 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar 13He had also seven sons and three daughters. 14And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch. 15And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren. 16After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' son
4814/6/2010 5:44:27 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Now, what is amazing about this is that after the Great Flood, the maximum lifespan that God said any man will live is 120 years old.
4824/6/2010 5:44:38 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, he placed an exception there.
4834/6/2010 5:44:56 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar That He would add on years as a blessing to those who follow Him, honor their father and mother, etcetera.
4844/6/2010 5:45:04 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Job was blessed with 20 more years than the maximum 120.
4854/6/2010 5:45:27 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Wait wait wait
4864/6/2010 5:45:43 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar Plus, he has been remembered and spoken of for thousands of years and what he went through has been inspiring for countless people.
4874/6/2010 5:46:01 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli He said the maximum lifespan would be 120
4884/6/2010 5:46:04 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli So he lied?
4894/6/2010 5:46:11 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar With an exception.
4904/6/2010 5:46:39 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Did he say that at first?
4914/6/2010 5:46:44 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar In other words, if you choose to not live for God, choose to sin, etcetera...no medicine or scientific research and no matter how healthy you eat or how much you exxcercise, you won't live beyond 120.
4924/6/2010 5:46:46 PM The Dark Templar Jason and Kelli Not giving the whole truth is just as bad as lying :P
4934/6/2010 5:47:06 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar But, if he you honor your father and mother, and you honor God, He will bless you with additional years.
4944/6/2010 5:47:41 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It would be the same as me saying, "You will never stay up past 10 pm except on nights when I feel you have been a very good boy." to my son.
4954/6/2010 5:48:03 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It means that some nights he will go to bed as early as 8...but on normal nights I might let him stay up until 10 sometimes.
4964/6/2010 5:48:15 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar However, if he were to be exceptionally good, I'd let him stay up past 10.
4974/6/2010 5:48:20 PM Jason and Kelli The Dark Templar It's not lying. It is an exception.
