Her paranoid personality disorder<b>—</b>for as advanced as Spectra is<b>—</b>went unnoticed because her HPD was so dominant in her personality, but that does not change the fact that Kohana still developed it and shows <i>symptoms </i>of such. </small></p>
75<p><small><strong>Histrionic personality disorder</strong> is characterized by a long-standing pattern of attention-seeking behavior and <i>extreme emotionality</i>, Kohana is overdramatic to an <i>excessive degree</i>, reactive and intensely expressed up to the point of being <b>maudlin</b> and <b>schmaltzy</b> <b>(</b> bursting with <i>grandiose passion</i> usually accompanied by effusive or <i>overly-demonstrative gestures</i> <b>);</b> she is full of self-pity, easily moved to tears, sickly-sentimental and foolishly gushing. Histrionics are <i>similar</i> to narcissists <b>(</b> so similar, in fact, that they often
76get confused with one another <b>);</b> just as the somatic narcissist gains their narcissistic supply <b>(</b> attention <b>)</b> from other people’s reactions to their <i>body</i> <b>(</b> usually through sexual conquests <b>),</b> <b>histrionics</b><b> </b><b>leverage their <i>body,</i> <i>appearance,</i> <i>sex appeal</i> and <i>sexuality</i> to gain narcissistic supply and secure attachment.</b> Narcissists and histrionics can be gentle, sweet and warm people, enchanted with themselves past the point of self-absorption and <b>exceedingly seductive</b>. Both are impulsive and use seduction in the service of their impulsiveness, yet do this in different ways<b>:</b> the proud <b>(</b> somatic narcissists and histrionics <b>)</b> seduce <i>emotionally</i> and the glutton <b>(</b> cerebral narcissists <b>)</b> seduce <i>intellectually</i><b>;</b> <b>Kohana employs both types of seduction in a very compelling, captivating manner.</b> She is <i>overpoweringly attractive</i> and too tempting to be resisted on both an intellectual and physical scale, it is <i>very
77difficult</i> to resist her because she needs to seduce <b>in order to survive</b> as deigned by her histrionic personality disorder. Being able to seduce others<b>—</b>be it sexually, platonically or otherwise<b>—</b><i>is the same as humans needing to breathe for a histrionic.</i> If Kohana sees you as a potential source of attention, she will <b>entice or beguile you into the desired position she wants you in,</b> leading you astray much like a melody seducing the ear with warm string tones. Sex is just <i>one</i> method she can employ in order to attract someone <b>(</b> and being another subject entirely, remember, <b>Kohana does not need to rely on sex appeal</b> or that thereof to seduce someone, <b>seduction is not always sexual</b> <b>);</b> sex is used by Kohana to <i>prop her self-esteem up</i> and to <i>regulate her labile sense of self-worth</i>, so while the histrionic is overly-emotional, invested in intimacy and self-dramatizing, the somatic narcissist is not anywhere near as expressive and open as their histrionic counterpart. Again, Kohana’s seduction is not exclusive to her body, she seduces with her intellect and it cannot be stressed enough that seduction is not wholly sexual, it is also <b>the ability to <i>arouse</i> or <i>compel the interest, admiration,</i> or <i>attention</i> of a given person</b> which Kohana is masterful at, doing so subconsciously. Being able to control others is her craft and unless one is unresponsive to Kohana and robs her of a reaction <i>completely</i>, they will have fallen victim to her seduction<b>;</b> your gender, romantic orientation or sexual orientation do not apply here. Kohana has a <i>low frustration threshold</i> and <i>little to no patience</i>, acting on the assumption that one will seek to defend themselves against her flare ups should her seduction fail which<b>—</b>in turn<b>—grants her power in a situation</b> since she was able to evoke the necessary feelings for one to decide to defend themselves, thus <i>gaining attention as a reward</i>. 89attack <i>with an attack of her own</i> <b>).</b> Manipulating her is no easy feat since she is savvy to the inner and outer workings of manipulation and can easily pick up on manipulative cues, but that is not to say Kohana cannot be manipulated<b>;</b> she can be <i>emotionally manipulated</i>, but only by people she has a substantial relationship with <b>(</b> friends, lovers, <i>et cœtera, et cœtera</i> <b>).</b> Still, the extent of manipulation done by those she holds close can only go so far and will backfire terribly if Kohana is pushed to certain extremes. 135before they even <i>muster the courage</i> to confess their feelings for her<b>;</b> just because she is averse to love does not mean she is oblivious to the affections of those infatuated with her, especially if they have fallen victim to her thrall above all else. Despite the aforementioned, Kohana can <i>still fall in love</i> but it will always be <b>agonizing</b> for her and she will repress<b>—</b><i>and deny</i><b>—</b>her own feelings regardless of if it becomes unbearable to do so in a knee jerk reaction to protect herself. Kohana sees the world around her in terms of <b>struggle and endurance</b>, and believes she must <b>continually test her mettle against her environment if she is going to survive.</b> This outlook leads her to a powerfully

Another casualty to the repression of her vulnerability is the connection she shares with other people. Just as Kohana bluntly puts down others and attempts to decimate them with her invalidating sarcasm, <b>her superego berates and batters her just
155as harshly;</b> as she bludgeons others into subservience, <b>her superego beats her into conforming to her ego ideal of strength.</b>
