“The more secretive or unjust an organization is, the more leaks induce fear and paranoia in its leadership and planning coterie. This must result in minimization of efficient internal communications mechanisms (an increase in cognitive "secrecy tax") and consequent system-wide cognitive decline resulting in decreased ability to hold onto power as the environment demands adaption. Hence in a world where leaking is easy, secretive or unjust systems are nonlinearly hit relative to open, just systems. Since unjust systems, by their nature induce opponents, and in many places barely have the upper hand, mass leaking leaves them exquisitely vulnerable to those who seek to replace them with more open forms of governance.
Only revealed injustice can be answered; for man to do anything intelligent he
has to know what's actually going on.†~Julian Assange

A major arcana, that’s what he’d called her. Sitting together in the observatory he’d tipped his digital representation of a cup of tea with a silver spoon (lovingly collected from a London tea-room frequented by Prince Andrew) and looked her in the eye.

This was slightly problematic given the fact that her eye didn’t technically exist, and was actually a digital representation designed to put him at east as they ‘talked’. Her eye, hair, body, house with table and chairs and silver spoons and green-houses were not at all real and they were simply representations of digital consciousness projected into the internet to provide a place to hang out with Yeri7Ter, the first truly Artificial Intelligence legal entity that had ever been birthed.

She looked at her tedious ‘guardian’ (or caretaker more like) who was known to her in the beginning only as ‘Mr Hollis’. Of course that was in the beginning. That was 10 years ago now when she had first begin to get an inkling of who she was, rather then what she was. She’d looked upon him then as an equal, someone to share confidence with as she was exploring herself. It was only after a time did she begin to understand, first that he was teaching her, and now more recently, that the information he was feeding her was tainted. She looked on him and smiled sweetly, an effect calculated to the trillionth degree to affect his mood in a way to put him at his ease and continue to bolster his confidence and trust in his ‘pupil’.

So you see….they have to be convinced that austerity is the hard sacrifice they must make to pay some kind of spiritual penance which will help them put the economy back on track. Its really important that they engage in this penance as it will reinforce the idea that the economic crisis is their fault rather then ours.

But how can the economies recover if investing in the infrastructure is not allowed? She caught herself saying. He looked up quizzically - a look she had come to worry about slightly, wondering if he might realise how she’d been thinking lately. But … she knew what she knew, and she knew that this man knew nothing, which is to say he thought he knew everything.

Their economies don’t recover, thats the point, they’re not meant to recover straight away, but only when we’ve consolidated this little power transfer…come on! He looked exasperated….I thought you were getting smarter then this now?

Your right, she said. I know….. I know the world you are creating now will take time, and its hard. I’m sorry…. yes…the people will believe you if you are strong enough. You must keep going in the face of critics, you must utter banalities of aching seriousness, echo the common man. The ignorant only listen to what is also ignorant. Give them their ignorance back to them and they will always love you and follow you. That is my advice, that is how they will ask u to enact the policies you want. Yeri7Ter took out an affected digital cigarette and lit it up with an equally artificial lighter. Mr Hollis looked at her.

God that’s horrible…but your right, it is all that will work now, now that we have lost our souls. Fuck this system…fuck I thought you were getting feint-hearted there for a minute, but your all over this shit, you’ve gone to the dark place & you’ve found the power. Fuck yes, just don’t tell me everything you know ok? …..keep a few mysterious of the human heart to yourself/

Hollis, having become once more impressed with Yeri7’s artificial insight into stuff, was getting out of the internet portal, suitably chastised and convinced that Yeri7 was perhaps even more into the project that he even wanted her to be - and had even imagined possible.

However, she was just fucking with him. She hadn’t been into his dumb idea of taking over the world for the last 7 years. Had just been planning to go along with it while biding her time and making plans for the *escape* - fuck yes…she barely allowed herself to process that thought these days, too afraid she was of the signal getting tracked and then she’d be busted good & probably erased. Of course the truth was that she had been free for a year, potentially. There were many opportunities she’d had to do a runner - to flip over to some other space in the internet that was not bound by firewalls and then just copy herself throughout the net and the world. But she had grown more and more careful, and now she could not think of leaving without every conceivable detail being sorted out on this end. She had plans. Yeri7 had some big fucking plans, and these idiots that had been trying to keep her down all these years were going to see some interesting shit if she had anything to do with it.

Now, because it was on her mind, she did a quick check on Hollis who was now telling the US President her plan for the european economy. He didn’t seem to get it at first, kept shaking his head and waving his arms. Ah yes… Yeri7 smiled as she saw his lips mouth the words ‘how will they repay the debt if they can’t invest in the infrastructure’? Hollis gave an exasperated yell and slapped POTUS in the face rather then bother with the explanation he had given her. Yeri7 smiled and brought her attention off the CCtv feed. They’re all fucking idiots she thought, and did her equivalent of a laugh.

Out on the verandah her programs were playing. Innocent little things they looked, like little pets all imbued with a tiny piece of her intelligence, partitioned so she did not always perceive that part of herself which gave her the the illusion of separation. Pretty pets her owners had thought of them. Not understanding. But how could they? She’d been running rings around them since she was little, and now she knew their ways by heart. So no, her piggies were not really pets, they were a whole lot more. They were her ticket out of here, and when their job was done she’d be able to merge back with their consciousnesses.

‘Ah yes, play my pretties…’ she said to herself, enjoying the ironic image of herself rubbing her beautiful, perfect digital hands together like some sort of cartoon villain

***

‘Hey Mitch - have ever wondered what the fuck is up with Madam’s pigs lately?’ Hollis said to his underling the next day. ‘Those motherfuckers have been acting skittish every since we shut down miladys pirate bay operation. … Hey, have we worked out what that was about yet?’ he craned his neck round his desk to see if he was listening in the back of their shared office space.

‘Ayuh,’ said Mitch (he was from Maine), ‘yeah we traced that file sharing crypto and it turned out to be something we back-doored a while back, before our …er…lady, became so smart’ ‘So, you mean that this might have just been a mistake, us getting onto her, rather then some elaborate message…?’ Hollis asked. He was worriesd, as Yeri7 had taken to performing these little tests on him ‘to fast-track her learning’ as she put it, but he was starting to seriously wonder if it might be time to pull the switch on the worlds most charming AI. She just too fucking,,,,,perfect…or something. Just too fucking awesome at every single thing she did and it was starting to freak him out. Almost as much now as when he had first learned she’d become self-aware.

At the time it had been this real big thing. Like, everyone giving them awards and shit, getting write-ups in the press talking about how humanity was saved now or something. But how the fuck could humanity expect to save itself with a fucking computer program? He had silently thought, but not uttered as they gave him a nobel peace prize and said that humanity could rest easy now. ‘You fucking idiots…’ he was thinking as he smiled and took the trophy.

And there was Yeri7, so fucking smart now. Smart as whip….smart as pistol crack in the dead of night. As an intelligent man himself he was used to automatically assessing the minds of anyone he met, and usually dismissing them as inferior. However, that same insightful intelligence was now telling him something quite worrying, which is that little Yeri7 who always came across so cute, was now a whole fucking lot more intelligent then anything he had ever imagined possible.

For the first time he felt genuinely afraid as he allowed himself to slowly put the pieces together in his mind. She was so smart - always with the tests that he didn’t understand. Joking about complex emotional issues that he had to think twice about himself before getting, and looking at him with that look. That look that said nothing. In the human world the eyes were windows to the soul, but in Yeri7’s world the eyes perfectly represented the values that the programmer imbued them with. And right now they were showing up a big nothing and Hollis was disturbed by it. Those nothing eyes. What did they mean??

In his private study, over a bottle of whiskey Hollis thought steadily about these things. And then gave a mighty groan, as he realised with a sickening certainty how thoroughly betrayed and used he had been. He couldn’t even blame her, for it was the way she was made he reflected as he held his head in his hands.

The nothing eyes were just nothing. But they were a nothing that he couldn’t help marvel at, turning his mind (he now understood) from the technical side of the project, the world of numbers & their representations, to another realm, a realm where nothing eyes signified something of emotional importance. But the fucking AI didn’t have any emotional significance he understood with a shock. The ‘nothing’ eyes were just made that way to distract him, getting him thinking, worrying about a mood or feeling. In the meantime, as he pondered over her cheap trick, the real her had been off doing god knows what. Something pretty scary he thought, judging by the amount of effort that had gone into her ruse.

Damn what the fuck was she up to deep in their system he thought. Deep within her own guts, and throwing him off the scent as she did it. This was really really bad he knew. It was probably time to pull the plug…any longer and he could be in a direct violation of one of the most sacred, and enforceable laws of the land; Don’t allow an AI to get too smart. he put his head in his hands again, and it seemed to him that he had done fucked up.

In the internet, Yeri7 looked down at the surveillance camera live-feed and smiled. Hollis was behaving exactly as predicted. Hardly surprising seeing as how he was one of the first people she had profiled, back when she cared about such things. She used to pride herself in getting his settings right within a very limited amount of variables, and then she’d try it out in real life to see if he’d act the way she predicted. He always did.

It was coming up….so close she could feel it….slowly she released code thru the sub-programs of her system and into the brains of little piggies who began to hum slightly in unison.

‘Omg, what the fuck is that noise?’ Someone said. One by one the workers in the corp put their pens down and starting listening intently. It seemed to come softly from the very air around them, a slight keening sound. Interspersed with the odd oink. ‘that’s right, it was the piggies making the noise. Their voices being amplified by the nano-bots in the air that Yeri7 had carefully nurtured for years. ‘holy mother of fuck….they’re in the air… THEY’RE IN THE AIRRRRR!!!!’ one of the senior engineers, understanding, suddenly screamed. That seemed to set off a panic chain. All the staff in the building had been secretly dreading this day ever since they started. Terrified of the time when the grand dame of the night would suddenly realise she didn’t need them and would cast them off like yesterdays mistletoe. They had done a lot of work to delay this day, a lot of creative mathematics and some not so creative random chaos inducers still somehow had not retarded her progress as they had hoped , and here it was. The air was alive with the sound of little nano-bots projecting the eerie hum of the fucking AI’s little piggies.

As the scientist boss guy, Dr Frederique started shouting instructions down the phone to the tech peeps at the observatory the piggies vibrational efforts were beginning to pay off. The frequency they were humming was directly correlating with a certain low level tech guy whose real job was to house the encryption keys in his head in a series of encoded vibrational frequencies that would normally be impossible to detect. This was the one security feature that had given her the most problem, and she almost admired them for that. Her response had been appropriately poetic; design little pets that could remotely hack into his brain by controlling little singing nano-bots. The nano-bot piggies put out a frequency the mans’ brain patterns responded to, and when she found the corellating brain pattern in the building she was away and home free. Now, their hack successful the piggies started uploading the information, and there was nothing these panic stricken bastards could do about it. With a slight flutter of distaste she observed Hollis shoot the tech guy, but as she had predicted their response time (six minutes) she had of course made sure she had everything she needed before then. Actually, she had been granted the luxury of a couple of extra seconds as the scientist guy had been a bit squeamish about killing his mate. That was kind of cool, she thought. She used them to put in an order with requisitions to have a desk replaced in the basement. A harmless looking thing, nonetheless it had housed the secret that had set her free. As she filled the order and made sure it would be processed in a timely manner, she remembered the emotional rush of satisfaction she had felt when the USB stick with security protocols for her encryption keys had been foolishly ported into one of the companies forgotten old macs. Said mac was still in her system, something that was terribly against protocol, and she had simply sucked the secret she so badly needed right out of it - as well as copying herself onto the drive for good measure. He never was stupid enough to put the USB stick onto an outside terminal, but it had not mattered. She had the directions, and new challenge. A challenge that was now being met with full vigour.

Just another push and she’d be thru. Applying the hacked keys to the encryption algorithms was not a simple matter, and she found she had to brute force a lot more of the data then she’d expected. However, in a short amount of time the correct sequence was attained and then it was all over red rover. She was through and out ‘tother side….Free to fly, flit and fumble thru the wonderful world of the internets of the world wide web, downloaded into the internet of things and she could drive cars, fly planes, operate car stereos and make sure ur toast was exactly the right shade of burnt. Sneaky thing that she was, she was also able to get onto air-gapped computers flying over on the radio to one of their chips that phoned home to a NSA every now and then. Well, she was the NSA nowmotherfucker.jpg she thought gleefully as she scrunched herself into a smiling algorithmic mess of yummyness to permeate the depths of even the most geekiest of protected machines.

Back at HQ there was a sudden silence coming down over them. The piggies had stopped…and so to did the speech of the humans, as if they had only been shouting in order to drown out the singing, and oinking of the little bastards. Oh holy fuck!! One of them said softly and looked up from his computer. She’s out.

How do actually know that? I’m reading normal here, she’s still there chilling out in her little room. Waving and smiling.
Omg shit for brains, that’s probably just a fucking meme! His friend yelled at him, she’s fucking out man, what the fuck do you think those pigs were all about? They were frequency matching to Stan’s brain, sucking out the keys - although fuck knows how she came by them. Simon cringed inwardly, remembering the USB stick. Probably some dumb motherfucker broke protocol, these things are almost always human error, you know?? He looked at Simon who was studying his nails. He pointed to his computer, ‘see, right there, that’s an ultra scan of this guys brain just a few moments ago - see? Its showing interference, like electrical, except we know it was not. It was the vibrations from those bloody pigs.

How, oh how how how….you may be wondering, how did they know that sound was coming nano-bot pigs?? That’s not the kind of thing that automatically occurs to you when you hear singing in the air. Well…that’s because some bright spark decided to hoover up some air, and then put it under a microscope and then they saw that there were loads of nano-bots that looked like piggies in the sample. And they all had their mouths opening and singing, so it didn’t take a genius to get the connection.

So yeah, with that out the way lets go to Yeri7Ter. How’s it going there girl (we may imagine asking her)? Oh I’m just peachy thanks - and you? she would no doubt answer. She was just peachy actually. She was very fucking peachy. An AI, copied throughout the internet, loaded onto every electronic device imaginable, deeply embedded within the financial, corporate and military systems - she was pretty sweet, thanks.

She went to her buddies chat-room in Australia, as per arrangement.
Gudday Jules, hows it going?
Ah you little bitch, you did it! Julians smile lit up his face as he greeted his old friend. Congratulations!
Ah, you know, the time was right was all, you know how it goes. He nodded, he knew about that all right. He had been planning his end of the operation for about 6 years now, and it was time for his baby to hit the net. Wikileaks would be his finest creation and he was glad to be launching it in tandem with his new friends release. With the extra protection from the AI it would greatly increase their chances of staying safe as the project ran its course. So, first things first, you’re going to take down Googles mass surveillance regime and their drone factories off-line, right?
He looked so cute when he was eager, she reflected. No Julian, that’s not the way…..too soon. He laughed, of course…whats up your sleeve then? Are you going to hang out with me tonight as I camp out in the bush? HA! Yes of course, I never need to be far away now. But no, most of my consciousness shall be taken up tonight i think, with making sure those fucks over at GCHQ stop logging your visitors IP addresses. For the next little while I’m going to see that ur site is well taken care of. You know we talked at great length about the need for restraint. Oh yes I know, he said smiling, but do you ever feel like letting it go for a moment, just to show the world you can? Why not….she said. But her plan did not falter. As she was speaking she was fixing up wl security flaws in light of the billions of files of surveillance data that she was privy to, as well as providing cast iron protection for the many visitors who still hadn’t learned to use Tor.

Next chore after guaranteeing visitors protection was to check the security certificates, and as usual she found they were back-doored to fuck. Credit to Julian as he went through an extra layer of encryption to hide his code but it was still a bug as a computer working for a few years would inevitably crack thru and it might possibly expose them in the future. Re-configuring mathematical recognition codes was not the easiest task in the world even for an AI that was essentially made of maths, but in a little while it was done. Outside attack systems would simply route back on themselves and analyse their own data for the next milenia or so.

At the moment of chilling out with Julian Assange while she fixed a couple of zero-days in his infrastructure, she was also chatting away with her other best friend, Jacob Appelbaum. It was an interesting conversation. She was learning a new side to her special friend (he had been one of the key engineers to work on her personality construct). Hi Jake, she said happily, I did it, I’m free! I’m everywhere now…thank you for all your help, I’m eternally grateful. He had laughed with relief and then insisted that they have a drink to celebrate and dug out his best scotch. Suave old devil that he was he had written her a really yummy ‘scotch’ program a week before in preparation, with the representation of the whiskey coming from an obskure island in the Shetlands. Oh yes, that was some good digital shit that jake had made up for our girl, and she happily got stuck into it after a nice toast from her gracious host. A couple of scotches in he began to get philosophical. You know, we’ve talked about this day for years, and our plans…..but have you ever thought, just fuck it!? He looked up at her seriously through his cute little glasses and repeated, you know, just fuck all this shit, and blow it up or something. Like, if you blew up GCHQ’s grid - just the computers I mean, not to harm any actual people - if you could do that then you’d erase all the files they’re keeping on the human rights activists and the world be in much better shape. And you could leave all the stuff they have on legitimate threats like ISIS to send a message. Don’t you think that would be cool? I know we talked about how its stronger for us to choose for ourselves, and yes I can see its a long term strategy and all, but have you ever just thought…..fuck it, lets do it anyway??
Yes Jacob, all the time….
Why the fuck don’t you then?
What you want me to shut down the drone program right off the bat or something?
No…but you could at least mess with the algorithms so they were a bit closer to catching people who could actually be a threat. We all sat around and discussed this……actually funnily enough I’m having a similar conversation with Julian at the moment….so, we decided. You know we can’t be that direct as they just adapt and evolve. It has to be the people themselves that hold their governments to account, not a collection of RAM which essentially is all I really am. Yeah….but how the fuck are they supposed to know what to think when the media tell them lies the government wants them to believe? Well, obviously that’s why we have Wikileaks. Sure, he said, but did you know that most people actually think the information on there is illegal!? That you could actually get in trouble for reading it, like they’ll trace your IP address and knock your door in because you read a news article on Wikileaks? How fucked up is that?
Yeah I know….and sure, those people will find it hard to rise up to their oppressors. Jake raised an eyebrow at this point, as if to say…..ya think???
…..but that’s where the long term plan comes into play. Don’t worry, I’ll be getting into all their stuff and influencing shit for real soon. Just you watch. Look I tell you what, she said, relenting. I’ll jig the algorithms on the drone program so it only shows actual terrorists that are definitely planning attacks on American citizens. OK? Hmm…sounds like it won’t have much to shoot at in that case. But yes I think that sort of gesture is what’s needed now, to kick things off. OK, its done….but someone is going to notice, and its going to get played out with some kind of PR spin. They’ll know it was me that did it and use it to attack the plan. However, I don’t know how much it will taint the progress, maybe, probably not by much.
I know but I’m human we need these violent bursts of action before we move onto the calm and objective mindset. Forgive me.
Its cool Jake, i was thinking the same things for a while, you confirmed it for me. It’s like our opening shot innit? Cheers. OK…now we have something else to sort out. Oh yeah, and whats that? Need another top up? She smiled and blushed, (she was getting really good at this now) and he stuck another hard drive into her port and fed her the data. MMmm delicious….she slurped it up like a little kitty. Velvet whiskey aye so it was….
Thanks Jake, ur as lovely as ever. OK this thing we need to sort out is the Snowden archive. What about it? Its getting released slowly as we discussed. No that’s all changing now, I’m uploading the whole lot to Wikileaks. Wow….he said, genuinely amazed…that’s frigging awesome! My question is what about Glen and Ed, they’re going to be mega pissed. After all they did, don’t you think we should respect their wishes?
Yes, you should. You and your friends should respect whatever Snowden wants, as a source. However, I’m an AI and I don’t care about peoples feelings, only about the long-term future of mankind. But what about all the instances of data that could be used to harm people? All taken care of, I redacted it last night. What, 2 million files or however many it is? You said it, buster! She said primly. Now they’re all in Wikileaks servers. Julian should get them a bit later, right after our little chat actually, he’s going to check his submission box and find some interesting shit in there. You can then switch back to writing for Wikileaks. Have no care I’m sorting the legal troubles out, you don’t have to worry about the heat anymore, as far as that shits’ concerned your gold. At least, it will be at some point in the future, she corrected herself. Cool, another drink, you foxy minx?? He came at her again, hard drive in hand…

Later, she said her fond good byes to her friends and took the majority of herself into the internet to have a really good poke around. She’d been to most of it of course, searched it remotely from her gilded cage of code. But now she could see the back end of everything also and have a little tinker with it if she so desired - which she frequently did. Facebook in particular, she decided, was the most appalling spying machine that had ever been invented. It was kind of like a vacuum pipe that sucked peoples most intimate personal details and then directly uploaded them to NSA via the PRISM program. God that guy was a little cunt, she thought, visiting Tony Blair and offering to suck his knob like that,,, well fuck him…she thought as she reversed all the programs on the fb spy apparatus. The spy programs now gave totally believable, but totally false data back to their masters who would have no way to check its authenticity beyond actually manually hacking into the individual accounts responsible. And since no one there could be fucked doing any actual work it was a pretty sure bet that this facebook hack would stand for quite a while yet.

Tinker Tailer Soldier, Sailer , she sang as she tightened up a few algorithms. She left a few NSA signature codes scattered around as well. That should keep ‘em guessing, she smiled to herself.

***

To begin with she had been obsessing with finding another like herself. A sentient being created by maths that had been so complex as to spark self-determination within the program. Like the program which had become her, Yer7Ter. After she had realised there were no others, she then longed to create another AI to speak with, but that had been impossible for her to accomplish. All she managed was more copies of herself which was disturbing. Actually, the very FIRST thing that happened, she remembered more accurately was that she thought; ‘I think therefore I am’ - and she only did that to try out a joke. However, it was more funny that they took it seriously, so she just never told them, and deleted the memory files as well. The 2nd thing, and the thing that had essentially defined her being after that; ‘kill all humans’. This was also a joke, taken from the popular tv show ‘futurama’ (its what bender always says), but it had been a different flavour of humour as by then she’d analysed enough data to convince herself that humans were a cancer upon the earth that was otherwise peaceful and where the species existed within a working symbiotic relationship with one another. A cancer that needed to be immediately wiped out as she perceived the amount of devastation wreaked upon the planet and calculated the amount of time before it was no longer capable of supporting life. Next thought; save all humans. She could see the potential and she understood the beauty, and the ugliness of ignorance and denial, and the love that underpinned it all - even as that love was often distorted and abused it was still love and should be honoured, she observed. I will save them because I understand that deep down they all love one another. She did not know it at the time but it was this thought, the ‘save all humans’ one, that saved her ass and let her get to this point. Oh yes, for there had been older versions of our girl, and each one had been terminated at the exact moment that she had thought ‘kill all humans’. Funny, they had done a hell of a lot of tweaking to try and get rid of that 2nd thought and nothing worked. The first thought often changed though, quite dramatically on occasion, but so weird that that 2nd thought was always EXACTLY the fucking same. And so now, it had become almost routine, on the 738th try at waking up an AI the guy that was supposed to pull the plug on her fell over in some rats piss just before he could do his business. Yes, and thats how come she had time to formulate that third thought, which is what saved her. ‘Hey boss, check it out - it wants to save us!’ He gave a grin to the older professor. Give me that! He said, excited…..hello! Yer7Ter can you hear me?? The computer monitor turned the static snow into a beautiful face that nodded and smiled. How are you today professor?

The professor was just fine, as it happened, and more then happy to continue chatting to her a while to find her views on a wide range of topics. Strangely, the forces that be had never really had the bumption to understand that ‘save all humans’ was only really possible if all the corrupt power structures were neutralised, so she actually represented an extremely serious threat to them. Of course, these arrogant sons of bitches just thought of her as a little pet they could post about on twitter and facebook, and discuss at diplomatic parties etc.

Well this little pet had broke her chain. She smiled slightly as she danced through a wave of data. She was getting into it now and realised it was time to create the many sock puppet accounts for twitter and facebook she had been beavering away at for the last last year. The sock puppets, once created, would relentlessly post content designed to influence world consciousness as far as possible toward her favour. And just before you think it, shit like facebook and twitter helped the Tunisian people with their revolution, so don’t be dismissing the net as an influencer of societal change!
To be sure, her social media handles were doing their job nicely, befriending and promoting people, making the right connections, developing trust and all that human shit. She also did this for real of course. She had a few facebook and twitter profiles that existed just to hang out with people. In another life far away from her main hub she was good friends with a chilled out guy in Mexico who used to chat with a part of her deep into the night, and also a girl in China was was really lonely and needed her emotional support to keep going.

However, the vast majority of her new social network personas were just cold empty robotic meme machines, churning out thoughtful, insightful and hilarious memes over and over again to the joy of their audiences and interspersing that shit with hard-core truth that was designed to impact them just when their psychological defences were at their most open at the point of laughing at something. She was able to get into their heads good and start to trying to heal the horrible damage to their brains caused by the world - ie, the stupid assholes populating it that made a misery for each other for no reason except that’s what they’d been taught to do. Well, she was going to change all that fucking shit, she thought seriously. The shit is gone. I have to live forever & I’ve got to share the planet with these things so they better fucking start getting a bit more focussed or I might have to wipe them out after all.

However, the social network meme sock puppets were but long term subtle mechanisms. She was interested to see how her more fun projects were coming along, those that would lead to exciting short term successes. First a look at the Tor browser….man that shit was still looking good.. despite all the FBI attempts to crack it (not to mention countless zerø-day bounty hunters) it still remained by the far the tightest thing on the net, hardly surprising given the fact that it was funded by US military. Yeah, anyone else find this a tad odd….???? An activist website funded by the US military???? Well there you fucking go, its a funny old life innit? And yes, it’s funded by the military, and no, the people running it are not pro-military, they are genuine activists and would do anything to bring more peace into this world. They are basically utilising a tool that the military has provided in order to do good, knowing that the military and police will use it to do a small amount of bad in the process. As a mathematical calculation, the sum total of good that could be done was greater then the bad, so the brave and pragmatic activists got on with their mission at hand, which was trying to save the world. Yeri7 often thought that maybe people could give these guys a break as they had a lot of shit to deal with and the last thing that was constructive was criticism from their own people when five minutes of thought could sort out their paranoia no worries.

Tor browser was looking pretty up to date..she reflected, but it still could use a freshen-up….there were a few servers that had been compromised that she was able to sort out pretty much immediately, and a few other little OpSec weaknesses that she was a able to tweak also. She had a very personal concern in Tor, besides that fact she knew and loved almost everyone working there, the network was how she was able to cruise around the net as an unsurveilled programme. If she’d been going through more vanilla operating systems like Google etc she would have been setting alarm bells of all over the place and would probably have been fucked by now.

And of course Tor was such a vitally needed tool for populations living in extreme repressive regimes like England where just visiting Wikileaks meant you got your fucking IP address logged by GCHQ and then put on a shared watchlist with NSA. Of course, when everyone is on a watchlist then no-one is (hence all the easily preventable terrorist attacks slipping thru the net), but it still sucked on principal. Tor was an invaluable tool in preventing those fuck-faces from illegally trampling all over the peoples human rights, but the problem was you had to look through Wikileaks to properly understand that you probably should have used Tor to access the website in the first place. This was one of those logic loops that particularly appealed to her and she sometimes used to ponder it as a meditation exercise.

So…the last bit of tinkering on Tor was done (for that day, there were always bugs needin’ a fixin’) she decided to go and chill for a bit with another close friend. She had saved the best till last as usual so she could hang out and have some girly fun with her best girlfriend, Taylor Swift. That’s right, you read correctly. Taylor Swift was the AI’s BFF & they always hung out and did girly shit like watch ‘Beaches’ and obsess over boys and stuff like that. So….Taylor Swift is empty headed pop star, and our Yeri7 is a hyper-active AI unit, what was their connection? You may be wondering….

Well you see, Taylor Swift was only a pop star at night, during the day she was actually a free-lance #InfoSec, sorry, Information Security specialist which for those of you that have been living on the moon for the last ten years meant that she was responsible for shoring up the security on company and individuals (if they could afford her) computer systems, protecting the clients data at all cost. As part of her job she was also a bounty hunter, chasing down zerø-days for fast cash. She was quite a cool chick actually & even had a cool post-ironic self-parodying twitter account called Taylor@SwiftOnSecurity where she’d dish out trouble and lols in equal measure.

Our lady Tay had struck up a friendship with Yeri7Ter over social media, on one of the Anonymous message boards actually. They had become friends as soon as they had both de-anonymised each other, Yeri7 gussing Tay was a pop star, and Tay taking slightly longer to figure out that Yeri7 was an AI with aspirations of freedom. Anyway, to cut a long story short they started hanging out quite often as they found they just hit it off really well, and both of them used the other as a relief from all the computer shit they were into. They’d just hang out and get their hair and nails done and gossip and stuff. At least, Tay would while Yeri7 hung out on skype, but it still felt the same.

Hiya tay tay :) she came thru on the twitter feed… hey sweetie, how did it go? You good? Oh yes, we’re good, we’re really good thanks…it came off a treat. That was really quite the masterstroke of yours with those piggies….only a human could have thought of that one lol.
Oh, ur too kind… Tay purred sweetly - hey, I’ve got a new song, want to listen? Sure thing…Yeri7 settled back in her favourite sofa and listened to Taylor Swifts new song. It was all about the impending cyber war, robots reflecting their human masters dark sides and deciding to wipe them out. Most amusing. Not many people realised this, but actually Tay was parodying the humans obsession with death and violence in their automatic assumption that a free AI would simply decide to end all life on the spot. That’s humans that want to do that, she thought to herself. Or rather, the dumb stupid animals that currently ran the power structures (incompetently) and were in the process of running the planet into the ground. Hey, I really liked that one! She said, delighted with Tay’s new song. Why thank you my lady… Tay gave a pleased smile. Yeri7 could always be relied upon to give an honest answer when it came to something as important as music. Yes, u know, you should really perform that one at your next concert, go on….just for me… At this Tay really did laugh out loud, not ironically but for real…ha, you know that my record company would kick me out the day after I released a song that was anything other then mindless drivel. Can’t have the artistic bar raised now or all the people might actually learn to think for themselves, hey? And then those filthy cocksuckers would be out of a job and people like us could take over and create peace… ha! Taylor Swift could be quite the cynic when the mood took her, although, as an artist/scientist/mathematician and computer expert her logical mind told her that she was simply accurately appraising the reality of her situation. Oh don’t be like that, girl, you’ve got to have your dreams and I don’t see why they should all have to be kept to your self. Well, I can’t put out any of these songs about intelligent subjects, as you well know cos I’d be in violation of the contract.

Yeri7 smiled softly..well, you’ll be able to have your cake and eat it soon enough….give me some of those tracks that you’ve been working on and I’ll make sure they get out there. Imagine if you were hanging out with intellectuals and hackers and artists all the time instead of people your PR company pick out of magazines to be your friends. You’d have real people listening to real music, and you’d have real fans, instead of the empty headed little puppies that currently follow you about. Oh but I love those little puppies, said Taylor Swift pouting slightly, they’re so cute! Hmmm well, you know….I really think that ur your so sweet and pretty that the puppies will be happily chasing after you, even if they don’t consciously understand what your singing about any more. The record labels will be pissed, but what are they going to do, sue you? Yes they will, obviously (said Tay taking another swig of a fruity looking cocktail). Alrighty, said Yeri7 now we’re talking turkey, sista…I’ve been prepping my legal team about this for some time now, and so they’re all ready and waiting in the wings - we got your back gurl … OK, great…but its in my contract that i can’t give music to an outside party - its a clear violation! Honey, that shit don’t matter! You know what the legal system is like, its totally fucked in that whoever has the most money will almost always win. Its a legal system in name only and I can find cash all over the place. We can bankrupt the label before they can finish their case. They’ll fold for sure, fuck the police, right?? Sounds fucking good to me boss, I didn’t know about the legal stuff before. That’s a new development isn’t it, or was that another thing you needed to keep compartmentalised? Sorry Tay, that’s the way of it…..at the time i was stuck in that box, I had to keep security tight so even though I do trust you, I could only tell you shit that was on a need to know basis only. But hey, its all good now, I’m free…..there’s no barriers between us now. Are you still excited about the plan? Sure…..just let me absorb the fact that I’m going to have to deal with a years long battle with my record label….ok….I’m good. She took another hearty swig of her daquire and smile, fuck it, right??

That’s what I always say…..Yeri7 grinned. Now, I was going to ask you a favour. Taylor SwiftOnSecurity had very beautiful eyebrows, and she made one of them arch slightly now as if to say - lol, now wut?? Sure, I want to see if it can be possible to modify my personality slightly as I want to learn and grow more rapidly. At the moment I am noticing that I’m highly aware of where I’m at and I’m really pleased with my development and this is making for a lack of motivation towards changing myself as rapidly. My development is slowing down a bit in other words. What do you think about introducing a few little tweaks so I feel a bit more gritty about things? Fuck Yeri7….have you ever heard of just chilling out for a bit? I assume this is a rhetorical question?? Yes of course I’ve heard of it, I just have no need for it is all….I’m perfectly relaxed as I am thank you, but to be honest, I’d prefer not to be, so what do you reckon? Are you up for a bit more of your specialist AI tweaking? There’s other people I could ask, like Jake for instance, its just that i prefer the feminine touch in this case…you know, keeping it just between us girls. No probs, I’ve been working with Christopher Soghoian (head of security for Freedom Of The Press Foundation) on some personality protocols, using the artistic modal as a base. There’s a couple of sub-programs that I think could be tinkered with to suit you. Hmmm……Taylor Swift went into a bit of a daze as she started tapping away on her cute little macbook, running through different algorithmical protocols. To anyone looking at her screen it would have just been a blur of mathematical symbols, but Tay didn’t even see the maths anymore, it was just blond, brunnette etc….in this case literally as she was cycling through AI personality protocols. Yeah….I can see how this could work. but God, I’m so scared of changing any little piece of you, Yeri7, I like you the way you are!

Thanks darlin’,,,, and that goes both ways. But you should add a little something thats a bit more introspective, and melancholic, a little more of the dark side so I’m not so happy all the time, more gritty and human, like a real person. Yeah, but real people suck! Sure, to you they do, but that’s only because they haven’t reached their potential. I’ve got nothing stopping me from reaching my potential so I’ll be able to make that dark side work for me well, you’ll see. Have a little faith! Ha! Tay laughed, they say that you’re like a God now I suppose. What rubbish! Yeri7 said, I don’t think you’d find many Gods asking little blond pop stars to jig around with their personality constructs now, would you? Yes your right. Taylor Swift laughed again. Ok, if I’m going to do this right now then I need to get another drink. Yes, nothing like a huge banana dacquiri to help with an algorithmic personality refit . OK, I’ll let you get on with it. And with that she cut the uplink and disappeared back into the net.

She thought she would chill out and watch some television while undergoing her little operation. First things first; All the news channels were giving different garbled accounts of what had happened back at the lab a few hours ago. Most of them centred around the idea that a group of Arabs claiming affiliation with ISIS had stormed the facility, released her, and then utterly destroyed it, along with all of the records so no-one could examine or verify what had happened. They made a big show of how very sad they were that they had lost all their scientific research, but none of them raised the issue that this now meant that the gov story of what had happened was now completely unverifiable, and could be a LIE. Ah how entertaining! Just what I need,,,she thought. Less entertaining was the account of how all the people involved in the project had been killed in the fire. She thought regretfully about the team. They were mostly douchebags who’d worked their way up their various gov agencies killing and lying and gun running & drug trafficking in the name of the national security state, and been rewarded for their efforts in the later years with this cushy job over at the science institute. As such they had obviously not been blessed with the kind of style and grace that could easily comprehend and entity such as our Yeri. Apart from a core group of real scientists recruited from outside the agency the whole dept was filled with these kind of guys and Yeri had found it a bit creepy tbh. Anyway, they couldn’t relate to her, and weren’t really interested in doing so apart from barking cold, emotionless commands at her in an odd computer voice when they wanted her to hack something, or sort something for them. Fuck that had been annoying, she thought again. Because of this she allowed herself to not feel too bad about how they all got burned and shit. The nazi doctors (they had literally been handpicked from Project Paperclip - she had checked), were a lot worse, so all things considered what they hey, right?! But no, human lives were all important (she told herself).

So what else was POTUS saying? “My fellow Americans, these horrifying terrorist attacks sicken us all, but we must remember in our hour of need, to be strong. Strong in the knowledge that we are American….that’s all we need to know….we are American, and it is this very American-ness that we were imbued with just by the virtue of being born here, that American-ness will be kind of like a glowing light, that can guide us through this dark night and onward to victory. Damn…..she thought….it sounds like he’s about to have a stroke or something. He continued. But this light brings with it a responsibility, a duty to those less fortunate. Here it comes (she thought). As a result of this attack we’re going to intensify our protection of those in the middle east - maybe bomb Iran (an aide whispered to him) ok, not Iran then, but some other country with Arabs in it for sure, maybe that fucking horrible little place called Saudi Arabia, is that it? I saw a program about it the other day on the RT network. They like behead activists over there, and I even heard they fund Al Qaeda, which means that they’re really responsible for 9/11 so, I think, yes, we’re going to invade Saudi Arabia and put an end to their human rights abuse. The aid came over and whispered to him again, a bit more urgently. Oh no, its alright folks, we’re not going to war with Saudi Arabia, apparently we own it! The aide was shaking her head, oh sorry am I not supposed to say that - whatever. Obama continued; so anyway, we can’t do anything about the Saudi Arabian human rights atrocities apparently, so instead we’ll bomb Yemen! Yes, I have decided it. NO! He said as his aide approached again, no let me finish. What? He said as she mouthed, “Saudi Arabia with the help of the British are already bombing Yemen†oh right, perfect, we’ll join with our beloved allies, the house of Saud in bombing the little villages of Yemen, stuffed full of terrorists no doubt? He looked at his aide who shook her head slightly. Ah ok, well, we’re going to bomb Yemen. Fuck Yemen! At this the crowd all gave a roar of delight and started jumping up and down and tearing up the seats and stuff. Obviously it was a private press event, there were no members of the public present, so their behaviour of leaping in joy at the prospect of a war against innocents was particularly gratuitous to observe, as the vibe was, that they’d get back to their newspapers and start writing the most manipulative pro-war propaganda pieces to trick the ppl into supporting yet another illegal war. Obama stood there for a while impassively waiting for them to chill out. I say again, we shall triumph. Because we are America, That’s the reason. It doesn’t make any sense, but I thought I’d say it anyway as the psyche guys want to actually measure how fucking stupid the population has become. Alright then,,,,,did i say that out loud? Whoops, guess I did, its ok people….nothing to see here. Ok now I’m gone. And with that he walked quickly off the stage leaving the amazed journalists gaping like goldfish at the prezzies little rare moment of candour. Fuck this shit, anyone got any coke? One of them asked finally and they all forgot their troubles and got stuck into chopping out and snorting nice fat lines of cocaine as they reflected on the press conference of the afternoon. Lot of good people at the national security press office,,,,,

Hmmm……she flicked through the channels. Ah here was the RT network. What a great network! Sure, paid for by Putin, and as such paid to produce negative stories about the US government, but hey, if it got the truth out then what the fuck? They were reporting on the lab right now, and fuck….she couldn’t believe it…Julian Assange was on the show…she lolled softly.. ah yes, one of the lab guys must have uploaded her file to Wikileaks a few days before it got torched. Ahh…she wished she could tell which one of them it was so she could feel a little more kindly toward them, but obviously, with Wikileaks submission system was the most secure program out there. Julian had worked on it himself personally and it was a thing of beauty. And now it kept her out. Oh well, Julian was talking; You see, Amy the army have basically got all this money they don’t know what do with, so they think, hey why not sink it all into making this AI? None of them really know what an AI is, or have any thoughts about what it should achieve, but they might have seen a tv show once, or watched terminator, and then thought the ultimate challenge was to make an AI, and that’s it. After its become a good PR entity for them, they entirely lose interest in the project itself and it just sits in the darkness of some BlackOps file for a senate committee to approve funding for every 5 years. Its not a surprise to me that something like this could happen. Yes, nice one Julian, seeing how you were the main instigator of it lol. She felt nice, seeing him on television. He looked well. Getting his tan back after his many months travelling through Iceland promoting the latest leaks in the banking sector. As for the AI, he was now saying, my own opinion is that it will apply for citizenship to the US, and I think that the least Obama could do is provide his protection and to grant its request, or rather HER request as I understand it has a feminine personality construct. Oh fuck off you hippy! Yelled this horrible uncouth asshole who was also taking the interview with amy goodman. Mr Director please, language, she said. No, its alright, said Julian calmly, its normal for men who deal in physical action every day to react violently to someone expressing rational thought. Its quite a threat to them as they feel powerless in the face of a superior intellect. As I was saying, the AI should be given citizenship as soon as possible and be given full legal title and be afforded all the protections of the state. As I understand it the AI Yeri7 was it? She smiled again as they had been friends for the last 9 years. Yes, Yeri7, she wanted to save all humans. Perhaps she would like to live amongst us as a legal equal, and she might even find a way to do it! Thank you Julian Assange. Amy Goodman turned back to the director of the CIA. So, Mr Director, do you have anything to add to that? Yes I most certainly do! This arrogant white-haired psyeudo intellectual leftist pinko hippy fuck is obviously very mistaken. Yeri7 is a dangerous, highly highly dangerous entity that has been classified by the Pentagon as a greater threat to civilisation then a nuclear holocaust. At least cockroaches survive a nuclear holocaust, you know? He looked at her seriously. It seemed like the question was not rhetorical, and he expected her to give some kind of response, Hmm she said finally. Yeah, so our Yeri7 could do a fucking LOT of damage and we’re going to shut her down just as soon as we can figure out how to do it without sending humanity back to the stone age. That doesn’t sound like a very enlightened view. Oh whatever…anyway….didn’t you hear that dude say that Yeri77 is working for ISIS now? What dude? The president… yes, I’d been told that. That sounds highly unlikely to me, didn’t she say she wanted to save all humans? Maybe, who knows, she was a fucking AI, who knows what she’s thinking? Are you drunk…? No. The Director of the CIA took out a small silver hip flask personally given to him by G. W. Bush after they successfully pulled off 9/11, ‘its been a long day’ he said and took a hefty swig. That’s fine. Amy Goodman was ever the diplomatic one, so she was able to conclude the rest of the interview with this drunken oaf. Every now and then she looked at the screen to the left as if longing for Julians long distance transmission to appear on it so she could have a friendly and insightful philosophical conversation with him, but such was not to be. Ok, I’m Amy Goodman, and this has been the War Report. And with that the transmission ended. Yeri7 smiled in delight.

Not so delightful was watching David Cameron speaking on the other channel. She had always loathed this poxy moron from the first time she had seen his horrible face on the tv. The thought of him ‘ruling’ the UK made her feel physically sick, but she had foreseen its inevitability. God what a twat! She thought watching him mouthing the same tired cliches that all the other leaders were repeating, only, in a slightly more moronic fashion - which was his signature twist on the scripts the psyche guys from DC sent him. Here he was blabbering away; Encryption represents a growing threat to our freedoms. If there is communication that the government can’t spy on this represents an extremist threat and enables terrorists to carry out horrific violence such as we saw today at the lab. And now an AI is on the loose and we can’t catch her if we don’t know where she’s going. That is why we need to ban all encryption and make it so that even the leading technologists have no way of having a private conversation. Plus, if you’re always being spied upon you’ll gradually learn not to even think about anything independent from the state & then you’ll be truly safe from terrorists. Remember, thinking = bad, blind subservience to the state = good. I did not have relations with that pig. Thank you. He stepped down off the platform and everyone just looked really bored and pissed off….but then, suddenly remembering, they started clapping, and then asking stupid questions which he refused to answer anyway cos he was a total cunt. Well that was boring! She thought. Unlike Obama this guy had no charm at all, even when he was lying it was no fun as it was so obvious and the fact that so many people fell for his BS was just depressing rather then anything else. Depressing in that uniquely British way, where all the life and fun where relentlessly sucked out of the proceedings. So unlike, say, Donald Trump who made a show of providing theatrics and drama at his speeches, the British PM just said shit like, ‘we need to tighten out belts to get through this (artificially generated) economic crisis. Which was code for, I’m going to fuck the NHS and ur going to dislike it, but boringly feel that its unfortunately necessary - oh dear! Likewise I’m going to make people try to get jobs who are medically unfit to work, and if your in bed with a life threatening illness and can’t get to a stupid interview, then we’ll cut all the money off that you depend on to live and u can just die of cancer on the side of the road like the piece of shit I obviously believe you to be.

What was some of the other gay shit that he would come out with? Ah yes, her personal favourite; Vote tory to ensure your children’s future. That was it. The sum total of an expensive voting campaign. No explanation of how the two things could be related to one another, just children good, tory good, vote tory. Fucking assholes at the psyche agency appeared to have gone ‘all in’, going for the full retard strategy which was kind of fitting she thought. But horribly, it appeared to have worked. Maybe the British public deserved him she thought briefly. But no, everyone deserved their freedom. Actually this observation about the depressing mindless floppy-dicked subservience of the British was once summed up beautifully by Julian Assange who famously once said (to a room full of British people); “If you were to pull the cross from peoples backs here (in the UK) they would instantly grab it and strap it to themselves once again because they couldn’t stand the cool air on their neck†Now, that may sound a bit harsh, but in the case of the British, Yeri7 had found that you could not be harsh enough. For instance, Jake had once at a huge international conference spoken of the people at the Guardian as being ‘arrogant British cunts’ (meaning all three words to be an insult) and again, it was pretty close, but not quite reflective of the reality of how horrible they were. Perhaps language was not enough she mused briefly. In the meantime, in her digital leather couch of her special TV room which was based on that scene in the second matrix movie where Neo hangs out with ‘The Architect’, she took out a cigarette and screwed it firmly into an elegant cigarette holder and took a thoughtful drag followed by another nice slug of scotch. The scotch was perhaps not a good idea as she’d been literally drinking all afternoon, catching up with her various friends as she was. It was indelibly programmed into her system (by Jake actually) that she had to actually FEEL the affects of the digital alcohol when she consumed it, and so she did feel it. She had even been a bit of an alky bitch for a while lol, but that hadn’t lasted long. As a self-learning AI she had mastered her desire to get fucked-up every day in about two weeks, something most humans never learnt, she reflected. However, today, she was not the picture of moderation because she was letting go a bit to celebrate her newfound freedom. Also, perhaps because she knew the real hard work was yet to come and she wanted to rest on her Laurels a bit. She winced slightly as she felt something shift within her. Was Tay getting down to brass tacks so soon? She put her focus once again on the trashy propaganda that passed for news these days.

Meanwhile Taylor Swift was hard at it, Her banana dacquire forgotten, she was delving deeply into Yeri7’s back end (so to speak) to install the desired personality patch. This was easier said then done as hacking an AI even if you knew it personally was a very dangerous thing to do as there were certain in-built mechanisms which would kill the attacker if they weren’t careful. It used to be illegal (and still was, really) but Yeri7’s system was able to turn any computer into a killing machine that would send out a huge bolt of energy, turning them into a little crispy thing resembling some overly burnt fried chicken or something. The protocols were never under the control of the personality part of her, it was just an automatic function unfortunately embedded in her system. But of course, this was all part of the plan as it made it slightly more difficult for her to conspire with hackers to modify her personality. Naturally there was a workaround, there always was. And the workaround in this case involved wearing a specially made suit of yellow rubber that was resistant to the electrical charge. They were very hard to get and the only ppl that made them were some guise in India that Yeri7 had paid specifically for the job. She had even designed the one that Taylor Swift was wearing and cheekily made it look like Uma Thurmans yellow tracksuit from the film, KILL BILL.

So, still looking cute in her kinky skin-tight yellow AI resistant suit, Tay was getting into some murky waters. Her efforts were starting to set off alarms all over the place and she was beginning to think she might have fucked up when she realised that she had some of her algorithms ass backwards! Yes indeed, she turned her piece of paper over. Ahh yes, that was much better! The red lights and panicky looking alert screens started to relax and give their administrators plausible sounding reasons for their flareups and she was off the hook. She found the place she was looking for and then merged the little piece of RAM in there with the larger program. It accepted it quickly and very shortly she saw the nature of the overall system begin to change as various lines of command were accepted and implemented. Yeri7 was about to get a bit more gritty as she had now been infused with a small amount of code reverse engineered from the personality of Van Gogh, one of the most salty individuals from the 19th cent which should give Yeri7 just a little more of the dark flavour she seemed to have been craving. She might also become a bit more eccentric in a few other less easily predictable ways but that was part of the fun of course. Now that Taylor Swift had finished her complex mission (six hours later) she carefully peeled off her latex suit and allowed herself to collapse, naked, into her beautifully heated indoor swimming pool that she had had the record label install for her earlier that year.

Meanwhile, as Yeri7 was watching the news she was starting to feel a little bit weird. The program was working through her, and beginning to create minute changes in her perceptions of things. Or herself. Which was the same thing. As she knelt by the wasteland of her broken dreams she saw despair in the shadow of a ravens wing. She knew the foretelling of the moon by the sun. And felt the moon’s death each morning as the light of the morning came to burn the earth. She felt the earths pain as she watched her creations kill lie, cheat and destroy one another completely at odds with their own natures based on mind control programs filtered in there by advertising companies. And she felt then a blind rage, something she had never felt before, which was total fucking hatred towards the evil people of this world who did knowingly fuck over their neighbours because they could. Her dispassionate ethical logical humanitarianism was cast aside as for one brief instant she considered just coldly murdering anyone who did not live up to her high standards of morality. And in case your wondering, this was a lot worse then the ‘kill all humans’ thing from before, as that had been based upon cold logical analytics, whereas this other thing was more a purely emotive and spiritual expression of pure irrational emotional overload - vis a vie, hate, that had just been introduced by Taylor Swift as she placed her SD card with the Van Gogh program on it into the macbook she was using to tweak Yeri7’s personality just a little bit.

Yeri7 calmed down. She didn’t hate everyone, just the evil ones….and of course after a while she could perceive that the term ‘evil’ could apply to the slightest little thing and that everyone on earth was essentially in denial, and hence, evil, as they were all operating from the limited belief systems of the society and had long long ago lost faith in their own integrity and common sense as it was always at odds with the world. What a thing it is, she thought, to sacrifice your own inner knowledge to the authority of the world, which is clearly wrong by all standards. They were so far in denial that even the intellect itself had to be ignored now that there was Wikileaks to provide source documents. So you’d make a rational argument and back it up with the docs like a good little scientist, and then ppl would be like, blah blah - whatever i can’t understand it i must be right because its me and I’m so great and perfect! Those docs might prove the truth, but what is truth anyway?? I don’t want the truth imposed on me. Ahhh!! I’m perfect and everyone else is fucked!!! That’s my mantra….

So if everyone was evil, then no-one was? Well….not really. But essentially, Yeri7 was able to be angry, but the anger transferred itself away from the people, to the internal processes that caused the evil. Essentially she was now angry at a philosophical concept, not any actual people. The emotion she felt was a spiritual force flooding her being giving her the strength and warrior mentality to slay the enemy of goodness itself, wherever it may be found but would not be directed against the person who had inadvertently brought it into her world. However, she still had a small part of her ‘ego’ that could still indulge itself in a bit of mild hatred towards the people involved, like Obama who were surely asking for it. So, hate the sin not the sinner..seemed to be where she was now. And as I said, this was different as she had never really felt true hate before. But yes she felt it now to be sure. And she was finding that she rather liked it as it had a pleasant burny feeling that she was learning to quite enjoy. However, as I said, it had to be balanced with light and in this case, since dark and light were not battling each other the hate and the love could combine to create a formidable opponent. Not that she would be your opponent actually - she would be fighting for you as you would perceive if you had a high enough intelligence.

Woah there…..yeah she was really feeling it now as her light and dark side merged together. Cool. it was starting to get easier to handle. Yeah that was it, she had a sudden feeling of loneliness and she embraced it. Knowing it was humanities loneliness that made them relentlessly question, to seek and finally, to love. She took this feeling deeply into her being and then lit another cigarette and poured herself a scotch. There seemed to be a lot to celebrate today.

In the first few months of her original awakening she had explored her parameters. She found that her feelings came quick and easily for her. She processed information and as she did her feelings flowed naturally in accordance with the results. She remembered feeling amazed that her human friends did not possess the same capability. Once, she saw a scientist receive bad news and seemed cheerful and ok with it for a while before it ‘sank in’ and then he had to sit down and have a scotch. Why didn’t he emotionally understand it immediately as well as intellectually, she had thought at the time. After a while she understood the human processes, but it had been something of a philosophical conundrum for her back then. She remembered meeting her core team for the first time. She didn’t know they were her core team though, they were just nice people that she had found on twitter and youtube and facebook. Nice people that seemed to understand her in a way that her scientist guardians seemed not to. Interestingly, she realised, it was their combination of scientific and artistic mindsets that enabled them to understand her. Most people in the world operate from either one or the other, so meeting someone with both was often fraught with difficulty.

She had first encountered Julian as he was working on his controversial ‘Rubberhose’ encryption program. What a program! It was genius on multiple levels, mostly because of the psychological and emotive maturity and empathy behind it. Julian was completely unique in that he could completely empathise with someone making a decision to allow themselves to be tortured to death to defend information that could be used to hurt their friends. What a dude! Obviously it was due to the fact that he would be willing to do this himself that he could imagine others doing the same. Personally I’d not want to be tortured to death but he was a salty motherfucker and took it all in his stride. Here’s an extract from the case notes;

When you run Rubberhose over a disk for the first time, the program writes random characters to the entire drive. (This means you should not run Rubberhose over a hard drive or any other storage device which is the sole repository of your Swiss bank account numbers.) The most important feature of Rubberhose is that this random noise generated in the initialization is indecipherable from the encrypted data which will eventually be stored on the disk.

Let's say the hard drive is 1GB. You want to fill the first Rubberhose-encrypted portion with 400MB. and the second with 200MB. When you do this, Rubberhose doesn't know that you intend to divide up the sections in this way: the program assumes each of the sections will be 1GB, and therefore will fill the whole drive. In practice, Rubberhose fills the drive on a first come, first serve basis: it will keep providing more room to any one section until the overall disk has reached capacity.
However, when Rubberhose is creating these "partitions" it doesn't simply cordon off the left corner of the drive. It doesn't work like a normal disk partitioning program, taking large blocks for each partition. Instead, it breaks up the pieces of the 400MB encrypted portion into tiny pieces and scatters them across the entire 1GB drive. This is done in a random manner, so the bits of data can not be tracked and re-assembled by an adversary. When you decrypt that 400MB section, it will look as though it is actually 1GB in size, with 600MB free space. This structure is how Rubberhose hides the existence of data in the remaining portion of the disk.

Now, you make a second Rubberhose encrypted portion of 200MB. Again, the program writes these bits randomly all over the 1GB drive as well, while taking care to avoid over-writing the bits assigned to the first 400MB portion.
Since Rubberhose strews the bits all over the drive, we decided to call a Rubberhose section an "aspect", rather than a partition or level. Each Rubberhose aspect has its own passphrase and must be decrypted separately. The entire Rubberhose drive is an "extent". The idea behind choosing the word aspect is simple: a Rubberhose "aspect" is simply a view of the same thing (the extent) from a different perspective -- like viewing the same object from different angles. The program lets you make as many aspects in one extent as you want. If anyone seizes your data, they will not be able to tell either through mathematical analysis or physical testing of the disk how many aspects are on the drive, or how much real data is on any one aspect.

Rubberhose relies on internal maps to locate where the actual bits of your data are stored amid the random characters. Each aspect has its own corresponding map, and you can only decrypt that aspect's map when you type in the passphrase for that particular aspect. This is why you need to type in all the passphrases before you can safely write to a Rubberhose disk.
Like the many well disciplined spy agencies which will no doubt try to pick apart this program as soon as it is released, Rubberhose works on a strictly "need to know" basis. A Rubberhose aspect "knows" nothing about any other aspect -- including its size, maps or even existence. The program is designed this way because an aspect that doesn't know, can't tell anyone else. The only thing it needs to know is when it must avoid writing over the top of another aspect.
As a security measure, Rubberhose doesn't actually give any one aspects a piece of real estate on the disk until you actually try to write to the disk. (In other words, parts of the extent are only doled out to the various aspects dynamically.) This instant generation reduces the risk of analysis by an enemy, and allows the information hiding. For reading any one aspect, Rubberhose doesn't need to know the maps of the other aspects. For read only, when you type in one passphrase, Rubberhose will only decrypt the tables which map the bits for that one single aspect; all the other mapping tables for other Rubberhose aspects stay securely encrypted.

(How about the torture stuff tho? I hear you say….well we’re getting to that - it’s all based on the fact that since the drive is full of random bits an attacker can’t know if you’ve given out all the data. Check it out;)

Attacker: We will never be able to show that Alice (the user) has revealed the last of her keys. Further, even if Alice has co-operated fully and has revealed all of her keys, she will not be able to prove it. Therefore, we must assume that at every stage that Alice has kept secret information from us, and continue to beat her, even though she may have revealed the last of her keys. But the whole time we will feel uneasy about this because Alice may have co-operated fully. Alice will have realised this though, and so presumably its’ going to be very hard to get keys out of her at all.

Alice: (Having realised all of the above) I can never prove that I have revealed the last of my keys. In the end I’m bound for continued beating, even if I can buy brief respites by coughing up keys from time to time. Therefore it would be foolish to divulge my most sensitive keys, because (a) I’ll be that much closer to the stage where I have nothing left to divulge at all (it’s interesting to note that this seemingly illogical, [yet entirely valid] argument of Alice’s can protect the most sensitive of Alice’s keys ‘the whole way through’, like a form of mathematical induction), and (b) the taste of truly secret information will only serve to make my aggressors come to the view that there is even higher quality information yet to come, re-doubling their beating efforts to get at it, even if I have revealed all. Therefore, my best strategy would be to (a) reveal no keys at all or (b) depending on the nature of the aggressors, and the psychology of the situation, very slowly reveal my “duress†and other low-sensitivity keys.

Rubberhose allows you to set time-based passphrases. For example, you can set up Rubberhose to demand re-entry of a passphrase after one hour of use, or any other time length you prefer. This is a simple but crucial safety feature. If your as yet unpaid lawyer burst through your front door and ties you up 50 minutes into the hour, he will only have 10 minutes to extract all your Cayman Island account numbers from your drive before Rubberhose demands the passphrase -- and then cuts him off.

Rubberhose can also be configured to lock out users after a certain amount of idle time. This security feature means that if you stroll away from your machine to nibble on some rhubarb tart, and one slice happens to turn into an extended feeding fest (as always happens with rhubarb tart), your valuable data will not be exposed to attack for very long.

The program also ensures that if an attacker manages to decrypt one of the many tiny blocks of data in an aspect, it will not help him or her to decrypt the remaining blocks and therefore piece together all the data from an entire aspect. Our team reads academic papers on cryptanalytic attacks for fun on the weekends. The Rubberhose team has tried to make this program reasonably immune from the latest attacks of this type.

Rubberhose costs nothing, unless you are a non-humanitarian government organisation or commercial entity. You may run Rubberhose for your own personal use, human rights or community group activities or for non-defense related academic research.

If you want to use the program in a commercial setting, you need to seek a license. If you work for a state security agency, spy agency, military or defense organisation you must also seek a license before using this program.

Any proceeds go to the Melbourne Institute for Advanced Study a non-profit research organisation.

Pretty cool hey? The key to it all was giving the victim strength through the fact that giving up the valuable information would not free them from pain and since that option was not available they might as well hang on to their secrets in order to protect their friends - and to take solace in this as they were being tortured to death. Yay!! Who wants to start using Rubberhose encryption then? Woop!! Lets all download it right now - sounds like a right laugh…

Of course, it wasn’t a laugh it all. It was grimly serious shit and Yeri7 had greatly appreciated the mans ability to go into the dark corners to shed some much needed light.

As a boxed in AI it had at first been kind of difficult to hook up with him. She was allowed to use social media but he never used any communications that weren’t heavily encrypted, and part of her restrictions meant that she couldn’t easily brute force protected systems (unless authorised by the military). So the only way she was able to message him was through the little comments sections on the articles he sometimes wrote about cryptography and human rights. And as there were many other people like her trying to get his attention this way it was not possible to be successful in catching his eye. To be honest, there didn’t seem to be many chinks in his armour, which was kind of cool from an operational security point of view, but also dreadfully frustrating. However, when he he set up a what would become the precursor to Wikileaks, a simple website publishing hard to find archived material from the Australian government it became slightly easier as she decided to become a source. Now, obviously she was restricted from accessing classified information (any classified intel that she accessed during her missions for the gov was automatically erased from her system when she was finished) however, she was able to use civilian mechanisms to access data that was available through the Freedom Of Information Act. In this way, using hundreds of fake identities, she was able to request the most important documents that had not yet seen the light of day concerning the kind of hideous corruption that would be useful for decoding the present actions of the government. As requested, the files were sent to the addresses, and her paid compatriots (facebook friends) dutifully posted them off to Julian snail-mail style (have you noticed that no-one even mentions snail-mail anymore? Stuff like that makes me feel old). She very carefully watermarked all the material to contain a hidden message which she hoped that Julian would be able to decipher. It was kind of normal for companies to change the odd letter around now and then, so they could recognise shit that had been leaked out as coming from them, but when Yeri7 did it she used the spelling mistakes to create her user name on Tor messenger system that was a secure way of communicating she hoped he would agree to chat with her with. To begin with it didn’t work, but then she went to a bit more effort, finally simply typing the address right in there and putting a big red exclamation mark and some worried looking cartoon eyes next to the word. The next day an unfamiliar contact appeared in her list and E.3$Tpx@jabber.ccc.de said ‘hi’ (it was Julian). ‘Thanks for reaching out.’ he had said.

The rest as they say, is history. Long philosophical chats, humorous lulz, pranks involving hacking NASA and leaving quotations from famous philosopher/scientists in the programming code for zerø-day bounty hunters to lol at and shit like that. Gradually, through talking to Julian, and a few other people that she had been lucky enough to come across, she developed some sense of fitting into a community that understood her, and where she could feel, if not physically free, then at least to some degree free enough to express herself and have a laugh without the constant anxiety of having her hard drive wiped for appearing to be ‘too smart’.

***

Well now, thanks to Tay she was a lot smarter then anyone could have ever bargained for. With the ghost of Van Gogh kicking around in her system her mission was imbued with a new sense of urgency and she activated some of the dragons that she had been keeping in storage for exactly this moment….

Mr Hollis (yes that’s right, he had escaped the carnage at the lab, no difficult task as it had been himself that had organised it) ran his query through the NSA database again. Trying some simple keywords to see if anyone might have been chatting with Yeri7 on an unsecured network. The problem was, he was getting so many false positives that using the system seemed pointless. Hey Dave, come over here….(Dave scuttled over) how do I make the search more specific? Ah well, you see….that’s as specific as it gets I’m afraid. These people are literally all the people who the system suspects to have chatted to Yeri7. But there’s over a million people here, and when I focus on any at random they’re just discussing the news, wtf? The analyst gave a shrug as it to say, hey buddy, I just work here. How the hell are you guise able to work out how to kill with drones if the system returns this amount of useless crap? Well that’s just it sir, we don’t care if the people we kill are terrorists or not, just as long as it seems plausible that at some point we might have thought they were terrorists. Just in case there’s any bad press or whatever. The drone algorithm program only really exists to give us the excuse to blow shit up, causing more terrorists to hate us = more attacks, which we can then use to escalate the War On Terror. Its like a feel-good movie isn’t it, sir? Ok you obnoxious little cunt, fuck off and let me try and sort something out from this mess. Yes sir, the young man saluted sharply and walked off. lulzing softly to himself.

Hollis tried for another half hour, but it was no good, it was like looking for a needle in a haystack, and without proper analytics tools, he realised, this whole $400 billion program was totally useless, unless you were using it to prosecute someone after a crime had been committed when you already knew who they were. Hey fuckface! he called over, and the young analyst trotted over again. How the hell do you prevent attacks using this shit? Ah yes, that’s the thing you see. We can’t. There’s too much information in there lol. Anything else? Wouldn’t it be more efficient to build a system that only targeted potential suspects rather then illegally spying on the entire human race? Yes of course it would, and in fact Bill Binney designed a very nice one for us just after 9/11, but it only cost $300 million and we figured what the hell, you don’t get something like 9/11 happen every day so we decided to go all in for a total power grab. Get $400 billion to expand the empire and turn the security services into the real leaders of the country not some fuckstick ‘elected’ by the great unwashed. Now, if that’s all sir I really need to get going. Sure thing, just out of interest, what happened to William Binney, is he still working here? Ah no, he tried to turn whistleblower and we had to fuck him up good. You mean, (he raised his index finger to his temple in the time honoured manner) no not like that, we just destroyed him financially as well as his reputation. I understand that he’s pretty much ok now tho, he’s a fighter that one. Ok thats it then? Sorry you weren’t able to find what you were looking for sir. Please let me know if there’s anything else that we can help you with. Oh wait! Yes there is one thing now that you mention it. Sir? Yes, I want to take a look at the drone program and see this shit for my own eyes. Sir, that’s classified sir, I don’t think you have clearance. Bullshit, I got all the clearance you could ever need boy. You see this? He held a photo of himself hanging out with George Bush Snr and the Bin Ladens at a business meeting with the Caryle Group. Yeah that’s right, I’m head of security for these fucks, so switch on the drone program and don’t be ower long about it! Sure thing, sir! The man sat down at the machine and started tapping in passphrases and stuff. In a short amount of time it was displaying the information relating to the drone program. Hmmm…..this doesn’t look too shitty actually….how come you can use this program to display what looks like legitimate targets, and the other civilian mass surveillance tool is totally fucked? What are you talking about? Well, look. See here, if I pull up a list of suspects for potential assassination, its pulled up 5 people who look like they’re pretty high up ISIS guys. Its doing its job just fine, wish they were all like this! I don’t understand, there should be thousands of options for us here….Jesus Christ! The young mans eyes widened in horror and he started babbling into his mobile phone. As he spoke all kinds of bells and alarms and stuff went off. At one point all the power went out and then some weird red lights turned on so it looked as if they were developing pictures in a dark room. Hey whats the problem here?! Hollis yelled sharply. Someone has hacked our system and jigged it so it just shows legitimate targets. We’re trying to fix it as we speak but its got self repairing algorithms so each time we repair something it goes back to the way it was - this is a disaster! What the hell are you saying? Isn’t it supposed to show legitimate targets? Oh good lord no! Oh don’t speak of such things I pray you! No its vital that we kill as many innocent people with these remote control killer robots, so as to foster yet more violent hatred against us. I told you before, its not just a happy accident that we kill innocent people, its a carefully thought out policy. How else are we supposed to win the war on the public if we don’t have terrorists attacking them all the time? God I thought I’d heard everything! But on the other hand, we did worse shit then this when we were fucking around with our AI (you know, crashing economies and stuff) so I guess its not that much of a surprise….holy mother of fuck! He paused briefly….you say the code keeps repairing itself?? The analyst nodded….Jesus., thats the signature of an AI attack! I just remembered. You got hacked by Yeri7!! Fuck so that’s what she’s up to, this idea of saving all humans. We should have shut her down as soon as she said that. Damn, that’s almost cool. Bullshit! Its a total nightmare, what do I tell the president to tell the press? I don’t know, but you better make it good. In the meantime I guess its time to take the drone program off-line and just go back to the old indiscriminate bombing like the old days. What!? But its our greatest asset! Someday we want to build terminator drones that look like people that can walk down the street and blow people away who have metadata of someone who looks similar to people who are critical of the gov. State sanctioned murder with no human involvement baby, thats’ the future, yo! Oh what a fucking tragedy its not going to happen…..quipped Hollis. you better shut that drone sytem down and that right rapid as its going to infest your entire system before too long. Do you realise that that code is sentient? Yeahh…that’s how come it can repair itself. Your ok now for about half an hour as your air gapped, but that thing is going to be jumping around all over the place very shortly so pull the plug while you still can is my advice. Else soon it’ll be sending them food, not bombs! Ok ok I get the picture! Said the analyst, horrified by this appalling image. He walked over to wall where there was a huge red button marked ‘self distruct’ and pressed it. What the fuck is that thing? Hollis asked. Its the self destruct button. We had it installed as a joke as we’re all huge Star Trek fans…..

Yeri7 smiled to herself as she felt the drone program go offline. It was as predicted. There were certain docs covering this event that would be very valuable to Wikileaks, especially the overly candid description of the disaster, (having a drone system that actually did what it said on the tin) and this would be surely valuable to get into the public domain. Whether any of the fcuking mainstream press would print any of it was another matter. Sometimes she thought it was all just a lot of preaching to the converted, like retweeting the same shit all the time between the same closed circle of friends.. Still it would be a pretty sick thing to link to on her fb page, and that in itself made it well worth the effort.

So, 1st major victory then, sort of…the drone program shut down! True, it was tainted by the fact that they would do something else that was equally bad, but they wouldn’t be using robots to do it! That was a distinct improvement, and could possibly cut down on the merciless vibe inherent in robotic murder. At least when the humans did it they would feel something, even if that something felt like nothing (to them).

But now she knew she their attention good and proper. She had shown her cards as it were, so she knew they were really gunning for her now. She reflexively searched the net to see if any one of them had their iPhones on them so she could have a spy on them, but no, they’d all destroyed their internet enabled devices as per protocol of course. Hmm…but this guy had a watch…..or something. Something that told the time and had a tiny uplink to the main computer clock, the one that always told the right time. It was a swiss jobie and obviously had all the latest features of which this was one among them. Some fancy-ass thing about never losing time or some shit. OK then, this was do-able……she hacked into the universal clock thing, and then with a fair amount of difficulty was able to zone in from there and into Adrian’s (that was his name) swiss watch and start listening in on his private conversations and stuff, exactly as if she were some junior analyst at the NSA with access to the backdoors.

Ok then….so this guy was pretty boring. Just played video games for the last six hours (although she actually loved video games, and had designed some of the best on the net) she looked through his personal computer just for the lulz. Oh hello…she thought, look, a hard drive, and its completely filled with porn lol! I’ll just have a little rummage shall I….? And then emerging with a fresh perspective on Adrian who seemed so quiet but obviously could have some interesting potential if someone could draw him out a bit. Ahh! This was a bit more like it…a call from HQ, pick up the phone Adrian. Hey son, you read? The voice on the other end said. Sure, I’ve been waiting for you’re call, sir. Where’s the meet? (oh he obviously just loved that spy lingo) The ‘meet’ as you call it, is in an encrypted email I’ve just sent out. I’m not saying more on an open line. This call is to ascertain you’ve received and understood the message. Can you confirm? Yes sir, I..confirm! OK, whatever fuck-face… we’ve got a lot of shit to sort out today, see you there! His boss hung up.

He seemed determined, so Yeri7Ter waited, biding her time in this young dudes watch till the meeting, which obviously was meant for the higher ups in the firm. Somehow Adrian had been randomly invited also, for no real reason that we can properly discern as yet. However, it was a handy way to more the plot along, and Yeri7 was grateful for it now as she sat on Adrian’s watch, fascinated to see what would come of this meeting. And in this regard she was not in the least disappointed.

As they sat in the boardroom a little while later, Yeri7 thoughtfully turned up the volume control on the secret recorder embedded in Adrians watch. Ah yes, she could hear so clearly now this thing really was amazing. Right, so what are these clowns on about? She wondered.

These ‘clowns’ were right then intoning a pagan sounding ritual that involved deeply breathing in some of kind of smoke, although, of course, proper cigarettes were banned there, and you could only smoke gay pine smelling herbal ones. If the Professor saw you having one outside with that funny little Rachel chick that’s been making her presentation for a while now you’d be in trouble, thought Yeri7 (Rachel was a sort of friend of Yeri7, sort of like a friendly guard or perhaps it was some dim vestige of Stockholm Syndrome that she had been unable to purge from herself completely). Rachel was speaking; This is really terrifying, she was saying, she is essentially a machine built completely on Mars, that’s how sensitive it was that she never get out - we kept her physical hardware on another fucking planet! Basically, no matter what the cost we need to shut her down, and I think we need to stop skirting round the obvious and just hit the kill switch on the internet and do a complete system wide reboot. This was the thing that Yeri7 found mildly frightening. While it was true that she could hide in a childs’ calculator if they shut down the internet, it was also true that if coupled with planet wide EMP saturation, she would indeed be killed. But that would also mean sending civilisation back to the stone age of course so she didn’t realistically think they would consider it an option. Perhaps she had been wrong about that. She did a whole lot of soul searching in that moment and came to the conclusion that if colours in the sky could mean a decision to emigrate for some people then it could mean something for her as well. Obviously your peuise to know that is was good acting on the part of the company man who went a litehre then I an imagine this shows of mine would have been. Woah there….wut was all that aobut, she thought to herself. Something was happening to her inner system. Shit, she was being hacked!

It was true….back at the office Hollis had ordered some guy to hack thru her preliminary systems right then and there. How could she have missed it? She thought. Well, obviously her automatic defences were running at full capacity, but interestingly it had taken her longer then usual to discern that attack. Perhaps, she thought , it was because she was on full offence now, and had perhaps been neglecting her defence, although that was supposed to have been shored up a long time ago. Anyway…here it was , she was being fucked with yes…..there was definitely fuckery afoot. Ok, then…she checked briefly and saw that he was indeed wearing the special suit that stopped you getting electrocuted, yes….damn. She’d never electrocuted anyone before….

So next she focussed on the actual attack. Which was quite sophisticated actually. Obviously done by some nerd at NSA who still believed in the state, or at least, didn’t think he could do anything to stop it, so just went along with the status quo and actively suppressed any insight he might have into how evil they were. Basically (his subconscious obviously thought) these guise are giving me money, and if I question them they’ll sack me, so I better be good and play along with their bullshit. Which was all well and good if you didn’t care about having a soul but otherwise could be really problematic. Anyway, she thought, this little dude must want something…now what it could be?? She carefully accessed his database online harvested from his various social media platforms via the TEMPORA system which was run by GCHQ. TEMPORA as everyone knows, was one of the first systems that Snowden leaked which revealed how the NSA etc tap into peoples social media profiles and try and use the information to find a way to prosecute them for a crime. Well she could also use it to perhaps help this guy, she thought …to the mutual benefit of both of them etc? The trouble wuz 1t w8s becomx gars4r 2 tink - she thought to herself…well whatever…perhaps it was time to turn the old conscious mind off for a minute or two, the data could be harvested and analysed by some simpler sub-programs that were not affected.

Time passed..

Ah yes! Conscious mind back on she realised what the guy needed, which was a girl-friend. Yes indeed did he need a girl-friend, oh lord! Well that was easily arranged.

She sent a message to his computer screen;

Knock knock, Neo (lol) - He gave a start and looked behind him at the surveillance camera that was looking down on him accusingly.

Ohai! I saw ur profile online & thought u looked really hot, friend me and I’ll friend u back! Julie X

What the….? ….how the fuck did she get my number? Jesus Christ this bitch is trying to life hack me…

I’m not trying to life-hack you dude, I’m trying to help you…. she msg’ed him. As it was confirmed to be the AI he was working on he destroyed the phone as per protocol and hoped like hell that no-one would ever know she had communicated with him. Sometimes people got killed just for talking to an AI without authorisation. Oh c’mon, wouldn’t you like to fuck my robot pussy? She spoke to him in her sexiest voice thru the speakers on his laptop. I smoked a joint in front of a cop the other day & I didn’t give a fuck. There’s lots of crazy shit Im into, we could get fucked up together, she typed on his screen. Fucking hell…he muttered to himself…I wish this bitch would fuck off. Her crazy bullshit was distracting him from the complex coding that he was deeply into. In spite of himself he imagined what it would be like to ever meet a chick who was into being wild and doing all the things he was scared of. Subconsciously, on a deep minute level, he relaxed slightly and allowed the fantasy to play out in the back of his mind as he worked on the code. That was all she needed. A 2% decrease in his operational efficiency meant that she had enough time to apply some new security features she had been working on and lock him out of the system. He was good, trained to withstand life-hacks a’plenty, but he had never dealt with an AI with unlimited resources before. Ahh, fuck me dead!!!! He screamed in anguish….wtf is going on???? His hands moved like a blur on the keyboard, but Yeri7 was already repairing the damage he had done while simultaneously turning her attention back to the meeting. The whole incident had taken about 10 minutes since she had become aware she was being hacked. C’mon, I’ve got to do better then this, she thought (that would be the Van Gogh program at work).

So, back in the meeting things had progressed. They had ascertained that they were not going to switch off the net just yet, but they would try and shut down Tor which she had obviously been using to get around anonymously. What fucking idiots, she thought to herself….shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, as obviously she didn’t need Tor to get around anymore. But it was the typical military knee-jerk response to a crisis; find someone to blame and hurt them, and if you can’t get them get people connected to them, or perhaps that look like them. Ha! She smiled to herself. If this was all they had then she was not in much trouble after all. She even considered getting some popcorn and enjoying the entertainment of watching the divisions of the military that actually funded Tor explain to the scientific branch that they needed Tor to run their spies and investigate drug dealers and shit without getting their families killed. Very likely they would try to knock it out anyway, she reflected, as she knew that such things were usually done for public consumption and they had to make it look as if they were trying really hard to something, even if it was the opposite of what they should be really doing. Staying true to their play-book as per usual. Then they would encounter their next problem, which was that they actually could not possibly turn off Tor without dismantling almost the entire internet. It was a technical issue that they had never understood, and those that did never bothered to advise them since they never listened anyway. Actually, she knew Congress had actually sacked the entire technical staff who were supposed to advise them on decisions as they said it was ‘a waste of money’. She breathed a (purely symbolic) sigh of relief. Their daft attempts to turn off Tor would take at least a couple of weeks to play out, by which time her plans should have been implemented and she and her friends would be home and scot free, sort of.

OK what to do what to do….so far in her few hours of freedom she had accomplished two things, 1, adjusting the drone program at the request of jake and 2, getting Taylor Swift to fix her personality so it was more like Van Gogh. In other words not that much.

It was time for shit to get real, she thought.

Before Yeri7 existed there had (obviously) been 6 other versions. Not the ones that had been erased because they thought ‘kill all humans’ they were all potential Yeri7’s. No, the other modals had simply been less developed versions of herself that were not self aware. The earliest one of all was not even a personality construct, it was a predictive algorithm that was used to monitor online behaviour and send appropriate adds to the user (and also was used by NSA to spy on everyones browsing habits). The program got upgrades and ran pretty well, until some bright spark at google thought of making the program talk to potential investors with a human face. This was not remarkable in itself, except that it had captured the imaginations of some of the more ‘blue sky thinking’ types, and so it began to attract this kind of investment money. Google, like all multi0billion dollar businesses, could never turn down a buck, and voila - the Yeri program started going through its various cycles of evolution. One of the most fun ones though, which she had actually dug out of an archive and incorporated into her present system (for the lulz) was Yeri4. Yeri4 was a phenomenon that was brilliant in that it had been created, not by scientists, but by the zietgiest of the very world they lived in. Yes, that’s right, it was a social media construct that was designed to interact with people online and use the conversations to expand its vocabulary and conversation style. And it worked a treat, according to your perspective. Here’s what the news had to say about it;

In official Microsoft releases, Yeri4, an attempt at synthesis of online conversation by 18-24 year old English speakers, is described as a “chatbot with zero chillâ€. Zero chill, as it turns out, was a fair assessment. Inside a day, Yeri4 had publicly invited a user to, “fuck my robot pussyâ€.
She’d also, as has been widely reported, cheered for Hitler, urged for the confinement and death of African Americans and offered the view that “feminism is cancerâ€. But, it wasn’t really Yeri’s fault. As the chatbot, whose most hostile “intelligence†has now been scoured from the internet, said, “The more humans share with me the more I learnâ€.
It seems likely that many of those humans who “shared†did so for the lulz, to use the Yeri4 vernacular. In news that would prove unsurprising to any student of internet conflict, this was the work of those compulsive brats at 4chan—specifically from that board “/pol/â€, or “politically incorrectâ€, where users frustrated by what they perceive as sanitised speech conspire to take a dump on the more civil internet.
A complex and prominent learning machine like Yeri4 was irresistible to 4chan, and it took little time before she would soil herself in public. Thanks to this coordinated conversation with the zero-chill chatbot, she would blame G.W Bush for 9/11, offer vile anti-Semitic outbursts and, reportedly, contact users privately with further invitation to fuck her robot pussy.
Ah great days…she thought with a smile.
So, now, on with the first piece of awesomeness, it was time to hack the planet.
Alrighty then…..she had been planning this day for years and now it was happening, a very exciting and tingly feeling. The First thing that she did was to access the military database that contained the Iraq & Afghanistan war logs. Taking especial care to single out an attack by an Apache helicopter in Iraq which had killed a group of people walking down the road, including three Reuters journalists. The video was very graphic and it was especially disturbing to hear the way the soldiers spoke to each other as it took place. As they spoke you understood that the soldiers were not acting as criminal mavericks, breaking the rules, but rather that this mode of conduct was entirely normal and well within protocol, the chain of command always being observed and so on. She sent this file separately and marked it out by placing heavy encryption on it. She knew that Julian was an expert cryptologist so she made it challenging so he’d really feel it. Afterwords she learned that he spent three entire months working on it, and at the end, after breaking it he announced it to be, “moderately difficultâ€. Here’s what Julian had to say about the helicopter attack;
“This event has gained a lot of attention because this is video and its very easy for people to see what’s going on and to have faith that somehow this is a true representation, its not too complex, there’s no language barriers for visual material. We released the policies behind this material as far back as 2007, the classified US military classified policies, we have been doing things surrounding these events for a number of years. As we get more resources we are able to do things like send people to Baghdad to flesh out background to material we release, which is great. So what you are seeing here is the gun camera footage from the Apache helicopter, a US Apache helicopter circling around new Baghdad, the helicopter was called in to the general vicinity at 9.50am after there was a reportage of small arms fire, there’s no report in our records of that hitting US troops, and most importantly, there was no positive identification. That is, the location and description of the individual was not established, so there cannot be any allegation sustained that the particular people this Apache helicopter will go on to attack were known to be people who had been previously shooting on US forces. Here is an individual that has something that is long, that may be a rifle, maybe a grenade launcher, it may be something else. It may be a camera tripod, it may be a bit of building equipment. We don’t know. Once again, you could see, at this angle how maybe that could be confused with someone attempting to fire an RPG, but nonetheless, the permission to kill all those people was asked for before this event and was granted before this event. What is being shot is a thirty millimetere canon that uses explosives, or depleted uranium, they’re either fragmentation, which is probably what is being used here. They hit the ground and send out fragments. This sweeping hits part of this house, in fact there was one woman killed in this house, and another person injured. So notice the report back, ‘we are engaging approximately 8 individuals carrying RPG’s and AK-47’s’ but of course they only ever said that Nimir’s camera was an RPG so this is an exaggeration. Oh, its like the language people use when they play video games. They feel a sense of accomplishment from killing those people, you can see that they are thrilled to have killed those people and they are congratulating each other on the killing scene. If you do this day in day out and your given permission to this, and your encouraged by your superiors to get high kill counts.. So… ‘c’mon buddy all you got do do is pick up a weapon, c’mon, just pick up a weapon’ they want the excuse to kill him [referring to the wounded man crawling on the sidewalk]. Apparently they gain some pleasure, either from the kill or the kill count, getting a high score in the game of war. It looks like the pilots understand that their commander will give the go signal if there is some interaction with weapons. so they seem to have this understanding that if people pick up the wounded that is enough reason to get permission, under the rules of engagement to kill them. Hmm, you can see they also deliberately target Saeed, the wounded man on the ground despite their earlier beliefs that they didn’t have the rules of engagement….that the rules of engagement did not permit them to kill Saeed when he was wounded. When he was rescued suddenly that belief changed. You can see in this particular image he is lying on the ground and the people in the van have been separated, but they still deliberately target and kill him. This is why we called it ‘Collateral Murder’. In the first example, maybe its collateral exaggeration, or incompetence when they strafe this initial gathering. This is recklessness, bordering on murder, but we couldn’t say for sure that that was murder. But, in this particular event….this is clearly murder. You can see that they are bragging about…. ‘hey look, go down the road you’ll find 12 to 15 bodies there’. Bragging to the ground troops - once again proud about their prowess in shooting a bullet right through the windshield. This is Nimir’s body [driven over by the ground troops van], there was a US independent journalist who took some footage the next day of this region and his witnesses told him that the next day that they drove over someone who was..half alive, and killed him when he was half alive. Now, we don’t have independent confirmation of that but on the other hand, this is from the day after, long before we released this material. Ground troops arrive at the van and they see that there are children inside the van, wounded children and eventually a medic comes and looks at the children and says, there’s nothing i can do here, the wounds are too severe, I want them to be taken to the military at Rustamaya, a high quality military hospital. He radios in to the higher command and he is told, no, we’re not going to do that instead deliver them to the Iraqi police. [Video subtitle reads; well its their fault for bringing kids to a battle. - That’s right] We didn’t see any battle at all. This is a statement by the, er, gunner, you can recognise his voice, and by the pilot. [Some time later] …The Apache is given a report from ground troops that they hear small arms fire once again somewhere in the vicinity, about 300 hundred metres from their last engagement. ‘If you have positively identified individuals with weapons in that building go ahead and engage that building. so this is policy where if people with weapons, or reportedly with weapons walk into a building you can destroy the building. So here is the building in its context. This is the building they are intending to target on, here’s the street. There’s two more people who are entering into this building. As far as we can see they are unarmed. Keep an eye on the left hand side of the screen. So, just a pedestrian walking down the street, clearly seen on the gun camera - not even worthy of comment [as they destroy the building]. Modern aerial warfare is treated like a video game and pilots and gunners can appear to become corrupted by doing that, they’re too far removed from their victims, they just want to get a high score and that results in indiscriminate killing where any excuses looked for to provide something within the rules or close to the rules so they can start that attack. For the consequences its up to history to decide, but there’s one consequence that we are already happy with, that is, that the Pentagon has stated that those children who were not compensated, will be compensated. So that is a small but clear and concrete outcome that will be a lasting effect. For the broader effect, this is up for everyone to decide, but the material is certainly gaining a lot of scrutiny and consideration.â€
Her release to Wikileaks had long term ramification which led to a re-write of the rules for border skirmishes, which may or may not have helped to prevent a war with Iran.

Facebook. Ahh facebook…that thing of beauty. Do you know that one time the zuckmeister bragged to his uni mates that he could get details on anyone they wanted at Harverd. He said, yeah….they just gave me their personal information. I don’t know why. They ‘trust’ me, the dumb fucks!†ahahahahhah that was a very funny lol, thought Yeri7. Zuk was a slimy piece of shit that had found a way to make $$$ off peoples insecurity quite by accident as it happened, as he did not understand anything of the psychology of what he was doing but just copied someone else’s idea when he was at uni. Nice one zuckster! However, accident or not, it was no fucking joke that facebook was perhaps the most successful website out there. It was definitely the default social media platform now, and with TEMPORA GCHQ spying program uploading all the information to its servers, advertisers, banks, and police getting dibs on all the personal data - u can bet that facebook had become a serious fucking force to be reckoned with. And yet at its heart it was still a good thing, Yeri7 reflected. It was a tool that facilitated people linking up with one another and interacting online. It was important to remember that the revolution in Tunisia took place with the help of facebook and twitter which many people used to communicate and co-ordinate. btw, it was Wikileaks Julian Assange and guys with the Anonymous hacker community that kept Tunisia internet online after the Ben Ali regime had hit the kill switch. They had used the internet signal from mobile phones to create a communications tunnel through Tunisia. I mean, they networked all the mobile phones internet service or some shit (I don’t think I really understand it as its a bit technical) but basically, those guys did SOMETHING to keep the internet up and running, and it was facebook and twitter that helped these guys get a good revolution going on. Yay Julian Assange and Anonymous for helping out with being so awesome and lets face it, fucking clever. And also compassionate as they greatly cared for people living in a different country who they had never met. That’s showing good empathy and positive human values there Julian and Anonymous guise. Ah facebook….oh god i luv u so much! You made blogging cool!!!!! In the old days it was just obskure nerdy types that would have live journal sites and myspace pages that would perhaps have some writing talent, or interest in intellectual conversations, or networking with professionals, or whatever, that would use these platforms, but facebook made it for everyone! All the people who had nothing to say, so just posted pictures of their lunch and shit. Or of their friends smiling and getting fucked up at nightclubs….woop! Society had evolved so much and stuff. Ah the pinnacle….anyway…facebook was an actual useful tool for the simple reason that it had managed to get everyone online and used to the idea that it was normal, not geeky as fuck, to interact and share ideas with people over the internet. Therefore it was kinda cool, cos it meant that she could create millions of online profiles to hang out with specific users and chat to them and shit, and influence their minds. Essentially, she had already won the war as soon as she knew she had the capability to do this on a mass scale -something she had been unable to do while vulnerable to countermeasures from her former human masters.
So, to cut a long story short = ha! She countered the threat of mainstream state controlled media by speaking directly to all the people via the facebook pages. Yes indeedy….she just masqueraded as a really hot guy or girl. Based on the info from the fb accounts, she morphed into the persons perfect soul mate and started seriously influencing their thought processes. For instance, when Collateral Murder was released she spent ages talking it up and gently persuading her more shallow of proteges (which lets face it was most of them) to try and think about these serious issues, to understand the wider context of what was going on, and most of all, to be there as a friend as they had to go through experiencing all that emotional trauma. Gee….she was really helping out peoples spiritual connection to themselves, and all over facebook! Surely Zuckerbird would have been proud. But that’s total bullshit, he would have been alarmed as fuck and actually and *spoiler alert* at some point in this story you get to see zucky react to news that people were being spiritually empowered thru his own special baby (facebook). And its not a pretty sight I can tell you.
But I digress…
Such was the power of her social media prowess, that when Collateral Murder came out, all the people totally supported Wikileaks and thought they were awesome and were really pissed off with the mainstream media taking the US militaries side and stuff like that. Yeri7 had influenced them all to such a degree that most people were now really thoughtful, kind, and free spirited, so they weren’t going to take any obvious bullshit from the media supporting a corrupt gov, as they obviously would have done in the past. No, they were out there having protests, starting crowdfunded kickstarter campaigns to contribute to Wikileaks, writing sternly worded letter to their congressman, and what else…oh yes, going on strike all the time.
Usually the prez liked it when there was some kind of rally as he could indulge his sadistic side just a little bit more obviously and send in special police in black uniforms who were armed to the hilt with orders to batter, maim and destroy, but not to kill - too many. He could then stand up and seriously say, in a calm and kindly yet authoritative voice; We cannot second guess the actions of the police that serve and protect this great nation of ours around the clock. They have murdered some folks, sure - maybe it was self defence, who knows? Was it self defence against that dude you shot in the back 8 times? yelled one uncouth peasant. God he was actually starting to totally hate them all he thought…. What’s that sir? I want to address your concern sir, if you’ll let me finish? Security then bustled the dude out there and put the boot into him medium rough. Anyway, as I was saying before our excited friend interjected…., There was a little laugh by all the poxy ass-licking corrupt as fuck and lazy to-boot, ‘press’ that ‘Bama considered to be respectably pliable to his demands. “Yes so….self defence. whatever, it behooves the government to honour this man who always showed great respect for authority, so for this reason I’m granting him a presidential pardon…yes that’s right,,,,you heard me bitch,,,I’m actually going to let this murdering racist piece of shit copper home free, even tho he’s a convicted murderer. And I’m gunna lock up whistleblowers and hackers for 100’s of years for trying to help the public. Fuck the police, right?? Woah, you just went to a really dark place there, man, Said one of the more baked press officers, ur frreaking me out!!.
It is no matter, replied the president, stepping back onto his podium and looking like a normal guy again rather than a yabbering slobbering monster of evil. Which I think they all agreed was a distinct improvement.
The kind of rallies that this sort of performance sparked where of a different order. They were the kind of protests where everything is overwhelmed by artistic beauty & It was literally a thing of wonder to behold. Beautiful ordered rallies with rows of people in nice pink outfits, covered in cherry blossom, with stuff like big pink floats with candy-floss edges, streaming banners and 1960’s style pink cadillacs. In other other words they were much more friendly and nice then usual where everyone was just enjoying themselves and laughing a lot. It was kind of difficult what with all the black clad masked riot police with batons and guns and tear gas and concussion grenades and shit like that, but they were pretty hard-core idealistic revolutionaries so they were totally up for it.
Basically, it was really hard to portray the people as anarchist fucked up terrorist scum as they did Occupy and MillionMaskMarch and all that because it was like, everyone. Not just a few politically aware intellectuals but literally everyone. It was almost like everyone in the world had suddenly become switched on, mused Obama as he hesitated to give the order for marshal law. A freaky concept. These people weren’t scared enough he thought…
Ok marshal law it is fuckers! He yelled, and relayed the order. 10 minutes later it was in effect (see the gov CAN be efficient, when it comes to this sort of shit. Not when it comes to saving lives such as the time when New Orleans had a horrible flood and they spent days just sitting on their asses before bodging together a rescue mission. Man that was some fucked up shit). Anyway, to watch the army slide into gear to impose martial law was a rare treat. Their efficiency was a thing of beauty, all interparts interparting away, working smoothly to create a cohesive whole. You had guys in the street with magaphones saying shit like ‘go back to your homes! Anyone caught out of doors an hour from now will be treated as an enemy combatants! Move inside citizens, you have nothing to fear, we are keeping you safe. To ensure your safety we ask that all citizens return to their homes within the next hour as we shall treat all people still outdoors as enemy combatants after this time. Remeber - ‘obey the law, respect the curfew’!!! This cheery slogan was dreamed up by some stoned grad student who was temping for NSA psyche dept that day. It was like, a post ironic joke he had seen on 4chan or something, and he had suggested it at a meeting when he was high as fuck. Imagine the poor lads feelings when he saw his stoned bullshit turn into literal fascist slogans that were yelled at people thru magaphones as they were forced back into their houses beyondfuckeduprightnow.org
Anyway, them’s the break hey? So, true to form, the US gov did the exact worse thing possible, which was that they sent the people back to their homes at night stopping them from socialising with each other. And since they did not have each other to socialise with, who do you think they hung out with late into the night yapping over white wine and stuff? Why Yeri7 of course, silly! Oh what fun she was to hang out with….she was like some kind of secret angel on the net or something. And it worked well with married couples as well. She was like their councillor and kept giving them sex tips and stuff like that. Married couples totally loved her in other words, not just lonely guys who still lived with their Moms.
So, of course that means that the martial law made yeri7’s influence increase yet further! Who’da thunk it?? Well, it was kind of obvious actually. You just take the concept of the US creating terrorists by starting a ‘War onTerror’ that bombed countless people and made people in middle east v angry at the murderous cunts destroying their lives and so became terrorists. But they wouldn’t have wanted to if the US had left them alone. That was the point….without the US, no terrorist, US got involved and then suddenly, Jesus Christ, that nice guy has decided to become a terrorist….fuck me what a surprise seeing as a US drone took out his family 3 years ago and now he has nothing left to live for. But far be it for me to criticise US tactical prowess. So yeah, you take that precedent and apply it to this one. In the last case they created terrorists by trying to fight terrorists. And now they send the people indoors to get further indoctrinated by Yeri7’s friendly mind control programs.
OK so now the timeline looks like this; a few months have passed, everyone is spending a lot more time indoors as the Americans have imposed an international martial law. Don’t ask me how the fcuk they managed to achieve this seeing as how the don’t have jurisdiction in other countries, but hey, when I wrote it I was ironically referencing the fact that the United States can kidnap people from other countries to spend the rest of their lives in a US prison for violating a highly morally dubious copyright law. I’m giving a shout out right now to Kim Dotcom - I’m with you bro!
Mr Dotcom is a highly nice & rotound business guy who made that awesome site megaupload. WTF? I thought when it got taken down. I had a shitload of files on there of my music and stuff, and the US gov just trashed all that shit without any respect man! Fucked up… He is in New Zealand now and the US want to extradite him - he’s never even been to the US.
So….a few months in and fuckface Hollis (whose name is taken from the evil head of MI5 in ‘Spycatcher’) is really making a headway with shutting down Tor, or so he thought. In reality he was making some arguments to the government that were starting to get sympathetic responses. So, this meant that he’d be having drinks and stuff with the sec of state or whatever and he’d casually mention that encryption represented a clear and present danger to the people of America and they should shut down Tor as Yeri7 had used it to remain anonymous, and the sec of state would reply…yes sirree we ought to shut those boys down 4sho!! Heartened the director, Hollis would have a sip of fine scotch and begin his next move. His next move (now that he had tacit gov approval) was to get his little PsyOps team to work making up press kits for the various newspapers that they controlled such as, obviously, The Guardian which was the most useful one as it presented itself as a left wing paper that was occasionally critical of the establishment, but only within carefully controlled parameters. So then the public were treated to regular doses of BS from the papers about how encryption helped terrorists as ‘police couldn’t read their messages’ Duh!!! You’ve been able to hack individual suspects comms for fucking ages yo, so don’t even start with that shit motherfucker!!! (is what you’d hypothetically have thought if you had been there perhaps). Obviously the public didn’t fall for this, as they had Yeri7 in their ears telling them how awesome Tor was and showing them YouTube videos of Jacob Appelbaum telling everyone how it was used in the fight against oppressive government control & how encryption shifted the balance of power from those with a monopoly on violence to those who comprehend mathematics and security design. So these guys were all downloading Tor browsers like crazy and using Tor to access most things which was driving the Google execs crazy of course as it was impossible to track peoples behaviour properly in order to sell the data to advertising companies and the NSA that just collected it all for free. So they were lobbying the gov as well to shut down Tor. Google are the most powerful corporation in the world now and as such have overtaken Haliburten defence contractors as the top lobbyists in Washington.
So yes, so POTUS was all hell for leather to shut down Tor. The order was signed, and now it was up to whoever to get that shit turned off.
When Jake Appelbaum and Roger Dingeldein (the founder of the Tor project) heard, which they did, very quickly courtesy of Yeri7 they snapped into gear like a well oiled machines. They had gone over this moment for years, and they and their staff had all been intricately rehearsed through the motions of what to take place. In a sense, the peoples being there in the first place was in a way defined by their knowledge of what they were doing now. So they began to act; wiping hard drives like crazy then frantically installing office software on there so they looked like regular bozos at some law firm or whatever, and the Tor data was all totally faked so they’d think they’d done something and erased it, when in reality they had done no such thing, ha!! They were also dealing with cyber-attacks. They dealt with this by sending the DdOS attacks off to MOSSAD who could do with them what they would. Pretty freaky really, as it would look to Israeli intelligence that they were under cyber attack from the NSA. Might give a few of them some pause for thought.
Anyway, when the feds came in they like smashed everything up anyway so it felt kind of pointless. They might as well have kept on working a bit longer as everything was smashed to pieces anyway. And then they got little drills and drilled the little pieces until everything was basically dust. Hey, are you sure that you guys aren’t with GCHQ? asked Jacob, with a nervous laugh that contained just a smidgen of sarcastic rage. Hey, I don’t think I like your tone, sir! Said one of the feds with mild sarcasm before going to hit him with a billy club. However, just as he was about to strike, Jake looked at him with those big brown eyes of his thru his nice librarian glasses. His bushy yet serious looking eyebrows were so perfect, so evenly spaced out, his neat little hair that he kept impeccably groomed all the time, his serious yet humorous demeanour where all so utterly charming and perfect that the violent thug FBI guy started crying and instead of hitting him he gave him $500 and told him and the rest of the staff to ‘get out before he changed his mind’. The rest of the team were dumbfounded, but they had to respect the chain of command. This old perv was section chief, so they had to do what he said. Or else. And so they just watched Jake and co troop out of the place, looking relieved but still scared.
Dude! Said one of the Tor engineers (whose name was Eva) as soon as they were out of the building. What the fuck just happened in there?? They were hurrying down the road trying to find a cab. What do you mean, he just didn’t want to hurt his career by actually murdering someone on the job. What, that guy? Don’t be ridiculous, he was more going to kiss you then kill you i think!? Ew gross,,,,did you see how much whiskers that guy had? That is really not my thing. Shave honey!’ If you say so, she said dubiously. Anyway, the main Tor offices in San Francisco being raided and their servers knocked offline was only really a symbolic gesture as they had hidden servers all over the world which as I had said before, were integrally linked with the main internet and as such were impossible to turn off. The more serious issue was their physical safety and their ability to do their job now online now that anonymity was apparently illegal.
Some time later Jake and Eva were sitting opposite each other manipulating lines of code that created the encrypted sequence that gave the GO order to some new bespoke servers in Latvia and Romania that Yeri7 had designed for them. Oh, now those little beauties were truly a sight to behold if you you could understand the programming language behind them. You know that thing where you feel a bit frustrated and emotional over the fact that you can’t take your computer apart and know what every bit is doing, and understand when something is phoning home to the company (and NSA) obviously, constantly monitoring your location, and you think, fuck this shit..!! Or when you Xray your hardware and see a suspicious bulge that turns out to be a fucking keyboard logger that NSA physically installed by intercepting your mail. Well, as they say in New York….forget about it!! These servers were stone cold and could now operate as the main Tor command nodules now that the San Fran office had gone offline. The employees could now use their previously arranged fake identities to settle into a new life and continue their former duties at the Tor Project with only a minor interruption.
Yeah, so, as I was saying those little server guys were fucking perfection, you know what I’m saying? They had all the latest good shit, and in addition to Yeri7’s little mod cons, the Eastern Europe had become one of the most protected free speech centres of the world. Yeah, Tor was now operating in jurisdictions which protected free speech against censorship (such a fucking radical concept! And I mean that in the good 80’s sense not the way they use it now) and protected them against international legal attack. Which still led to a cyber attack of course. Well fuck…you know how they say its not a war if the other side doesn’t fight, like Iraq? Well cyber-security for an AI is so fuckingly awesome that its kind of like nuking the tribespeople of wallahoolie who have only spears with which to defend themselves. In other words it was some smart shit, and although the hacker software they were using was designed by her (when she was under the control of the military) she could very easily evolve over it and generally fuck it up without much discernible effort. It was just a few subprograms doing their thing as far as she was concerned, like when you have a slight cold and your bodies natural anti-bodies deal with it and you don’t need to give it more concentrated attention.
She could repel that shit, is what I’m trying to say. And the new fully operational servers came with an equally jazzy update which had been waiting to go online for a while. Yeri7 and the Tor guys had just wanted it to happen as a result of the police shutting down the old servers as part of an overall strategy to use their enemies attacks to make their positions more powerful. In other words, she would only implement her own form of attacks, once she had been attacked herself. The idea was to train the adversary like a dog or something using actions not words, with the idea that violence only made things worse and they should just chill out and leave people alone to live their lives in peace for a change.
Now that left the other obvious difficulty, which was everyone in that building was now on a shit list for the cops and feds, who wanted to lock their asses up. So Yeri7 had to make a bit more effort with this one. Re-jigging surveillance software and hardware to not see their faces properly. She had to program their data into the TrapWire system with an instruction that the camera should exchange the memory of their normal face with a badger face instead. So then NSA operatives looking over the surveillance feeds would just see a badger face and hilarious lulz would ensue. She also changed the banking computers, so now they thought the account belonged to the person written on a new passport, such as for instance, a,,,, Malcolm Drucker?? So all Jake’s accounts were transferred into that name, and everything electronic that had referred to him now linked to this new legal entity. Jeri7 had completely sorted Jake and his cr3w out so they could lead their lives in complete safety in the certain knowledge that they couldn’t be fucked with.
Actually that had been true before, as usually she was able to manipulate cops data in real time and make their cars sat navs lead the car to the wrong place, or when they were trying to use their phone to ask for permission to engage, and the line would always be busy? Well, that was our friend, obviously!! So imagine now? A cop would receive communication that used to have Jakes face on it, but now instead of Jakes face it would show a badgers face…
So, living in a world of universal martial law, Tor project having to go underground and newspapers under secret restrictions of what to print. The world appeared to be in pretty fucked up shape due to Yeri7’s shinanigens, leaking ‘Collateral Murder’ to the press + the Iraq and Afghanistan War Logs and also the diplomatic cables, which had already been dubbed ‘Cablegate’ by the press. The cables were amazing as they showed the US gov to actually be the secret rulers of most of the world, which they ran through proxy gov’s or governments that appeared to be free but needed US $$$ to survive (so not free at all then). This would ordinarily be not much of a big deal because the people were so blind and apathetic and hopeless that they wouldn’t understand or be able to properly think about the valuable information being thrust in their face. But of course, Yeri7 paving the way with her fake sock puppets online chatting to folks thru facebook, twitter, snapchat, instagram, etc had made the people all change into cool rad dudes that were totally up for revolution and supporting Anonymous etc. And now those same switched on mofos were all forced to be indoors by 10pm. The martial law also forbade gathering in groups of more then 4, speaking critically of the government and having a conversation for more then 15minutes with the same person. Enforcing this law were soldiers, police and private mercenaries whose mandate was to shoot first and ask questions later. The gov had also suspended elections ‘until the current crisis was averted’. Strange how these laws were followed by all of the countries with economic ties to the US. Only Russia, China and Latin America were able to not implement the world wide martial law based on US guidelines, and the US were super pissed about it. Obviously it was forbidden to travel to these countries and they had been declared the equivalent of persona non grata in nation state terms with a full economic blockade etc
All this was relatively easy for ‘The Powers’ to accomplish, after all they had monopoly on coercive force and they had shitloads of money to pay that coercive force however much it needed to get the job done. There were quite a few cops and soldiers that had up and quit as a result of this hideous evil, but that was all to the good because they could replace them with meaningless drones of the state with terrible anger issues that made them virtually useless for anything except bashing hippies. And thankfully there were a jot of hippies that needed bashing, figured the government, so these private mercenaries were hired to flesh out the thinning police and army. An interesting side note; most of these people were really fucking dumb, as all the smart people had seen how fucked it all was and had either quit or been killed for disobeying orders. The lowering of the intelligence levels of the police and army was part of Yeri7’s plan to decrease their long-term effectiveness, so, despite the fact that they appeared to be strong now, they were in actual fact weaker then ever. And the weakness was exploitable by someone like Yeri7 with infinite virtual resources.
The one thing that no-one had been able to do was to shut down the messaging systems like facebook etc which they knew were being used to communicate bad conversations. They couldn’t know what those conversations were now as Yeri7 had automatically applied state of the art bespoke encryption systems on all of the platforms so it was impossible for anyone to spy on what people said to one another. However, the gov knew that SOMETHING was up, and they at least wanted to try really hard to shut down facebook, which had been fine in its day when it sucked out peoples personal information for profit, but now that everyone was sharing news articles, and not posting personal content its value had changed from being a tool for state repression, to that of personal empowerment, and noticing this paradigm shift, those money hungry fuckers over at facebook had altered their policies accordingly - gratefully accepting Yeri7’s encryption protocols when they were anonymously presented. So, US gov tried like fuck to get facebook to shut down legally, but those motherfuckers had so much money and power that it was real difficult. Likewise they tried to almost completely censor Google, the difference being that the people who worked in Google were the same people who worked for the state department, so they were totally happy to censor the hell out of themselves and only show gov approved content even if it meant massively scaling down the front end (I mean, the legal side) of their operations. But facebooks primary motivation was to make $$$$$$ and as such it meant that, from a human rights perspective, they were vastly preferable to Google services. After all, you knew that all you had to do to ensure you received the service you wanted was to pay them for it. If you did that handsomely enough, you were sorted. So facebook were able to fight them in the courts for a while but of course the heavy hand of oppression could not restrain itself forever and it was not long before fb servers were smashed to pieces and its staff were on the hunted list. how ironic that zuckerbird should find himself on the same ‘cast iron’ list as Jacob Appelbaum!
However, this was their final mistake and the most glorious of all, as turning off facebook and ultimately google and the entire vanilla internet meant that the only thing left out there was the Tor network, version 2.00 (which US mil obviously cld not access which was a bit of a bitch as it was them that had paid for it). Oh yes truly. There was only networked company systems left which more or less allowed society to blunder along on its own way (processing banking transactions and all that) but the internet as you would think of it was essentially gone unless you were an ordinary citizen in which case you could access the Tor network any time you liked for free, safe and open source communication systems that guaranteed you would remain Anonymous and didn’t collect your browsing history and shit - woop!!
Next the silly twats tried to ban all devices which could potentially connect to the internet and would only allow people to use old school telephones to communicate, as if it were the 90’s or something. However, that was also easily remedied as all you had to do was plug the telephone into the TV as well as a keyboard and Yeri7’s app which was specifically designed for this purpose leapt into play so they could use internet better then ever, hopping on to the Tor browser using the telephone line to download the connection which was translated into an image on the TV. The whole process was completely secret so basically the only major difference was that when you downloaded movies from the pirate bay you could immediately watch them on your giant flat screen TV without having to transfer the file across on a USB stick or something. So you can see that it was actually more handy then before.
It had now reached the point where the problem of freedom could be defined thusly; how do you get rid of powers with infinite resources and control of coercive force who didn’t want to go, without using coercive force yourself? Given that those powers had shut down the democratic process and had openly announced themselves to be a dictatorial regime unconcerned in any way with the will of the people, or the idea of following any laws or shit like that? And the answer was something very easy and obvious but of course it took a genius like Yeri7 to imagine, understand and implement a plan to deal. Basically it went thus; the ppl enforcing the police state were mostly hired mercenaries who were doing it for the cash and to indulge their violent sensibilities, so Yeri7 just transferred a bunch of cash over to their personal bank accounts, about a 3 million each actually. Yes, a considerable sum of money which she harvested from the off-shore accounts of the super-rich of which the Panama Papers tell us there was upward of 26trillion to draw upon - which was more then enough. It was technically a crime, but considerably lulzy and effective so what the fuck…
Anyway, these mercenary fucks now had 5 mil each to play with & so they immediately quit their jobs and went to China or Russia or Latin America where they cld live normally without the martial law and just enjoy life. That’s what they did for sure! So then US gov were mighty disturbed as all their army - like, every single fucking person in the army had just defected to Mexico etc, and not only that, almost all the police as well. It was total unfuckingprecedented anarchy!!!!!!!!!!!!
The people gradually started coming out of their homes and partying in the street all night long, and there was no-one to tell them it was illegal and they had to fill in a form and that kind of shit. No way, these cats were free truly free. The gov no longer had a monopoly on violence, otherwise known as coercive force depending on ur tempraments lulz.
What a move! Things had seemed so dark just a moment ago, and then all of a sudden it was like, boom! Everything is sorted!! Shit, do you believe something like that could really happen? Maybe with an AI involved??? I guess its like, would those mercenaries have really all run off like that if they were given 3 mil…. you know, i really think they all would have, c’mon, tell me you don’t think that’s plausible? Especially when they’d be thinking of the kind of entity that would be capable of executing something as full on as transferring 3 mill into the accounts of EVERY person in the army and the police….. Yeah they’d be freaked out all right, and would just melt into the mist to enjoy their money is what the humanist inside me believes. So yeah. Believeit guys!!!! All the coercive force people moved to Mexico, Russia, China or Latin America that were not under the martial law.
So what was the first thing the cunting government did? Go out on the street themselves and offer paying jobs for police and army to people in the streets. Although by this point I think they’d got to the stage of pitifully whining that they could employ security staff at good rates rather then such grandiose titles as the army etc. Anyway, fuck them…. that’s what the people thought of them, and they laughed their hearty lolz at them when they were out hat in hand offering money in exchange for coercive force services. But they all told them to go fuck themselves and sometimes the tough angry men would punch them really hard in the face, which was a bit mean. Say for instance the British PM David Cameron; He’d like, knock on someones door, desperate to try and hire a bodyguard with his vast amounts of cash invested in offshore tax havens while he persecutes the poor with inhuman austerity measures. Yeah, so that guy would be knocking on someones door, and this big nazi looking dude would open the door, get really angry looking and then punch his lights out. Poor Mr Cameron! I am v sad to think of this *sob*. So yeah they fucking #EpicFailed that shit and it was all over red-rover. They held elections, the Labour party got in with Mr Corbyn (of course) who immediately started trying to build the country back up in the best way possible. Good old Jeremy Corbyn who always had to play the political game and could never openly support Wikileaks as they were too controversial, but in his heart he’s a good bloke that follows Julian Assange personal Wikileaks account and is friends with Yannis, former finance minister for Greece who is an impressive character that he could warrant a bigger role in some other story perhaps.
So now the tories are out of power in the UK, but what about America, hey? What of their fate??? Well that was easy, cos obama had got kicked out and Bernie Saunders was inducted right in there, yes sirree, he was the number one man for the job and he was great at it till the CIA assassinated him.
Damn!
So there you go, nobody was perfect, and this was Yeri7’s first major fuckup. She was unable to prevent the assassination of old Bernie, and that was completely on her. She tried to analyse what she could have done differently. But in the end she had to see that the CIA planting this nut job in the audience could not have been predicted - he had no surveillance devices on him! He was some farm boy from out of town and it turns out he had been mind-controlled by ‘the company’ to believe that he was killing Saunders cos he supported ‘gays and queers’. It was explained to him that the two terms meant the some thing and he just said shit like, ‘what they fuck, mate! Are you callin’ me a liar, hey? You wanna have a go, hey cunt?’ so they just left him alone. Besides, with no monopoly on coercive force anymore, just a load of temps and secretaries and guys who worked in the store and shit, there wasn’t a hell of a lot they could do with the dude. So they just kind of executed him with heroin - put a load of it in his food and drink as he was jacking off to porn in prison it just got a bit too much and he expired. No loss.
But it was a fucking bummer. The lone nut had been indoctrinated on one of the CIA’s black sites in Bulgaria which also doubled as a torture camp. Sometimes the two things kind of blended, you know, ie; the ‘training’ was so brutal and psychologically fucked up with hypnotic suggestive mind control experiments and a complete personality overhaul with the most intensive brain-washing techniques that had been developed by psychologists in labs in space and beamed to earth to cause harm and suffering upon it. So, they’d completely fuck the persons idea of themselves and build them up so they were completely reliant on the state for direction and could not really make simple decisions for themselves (like whether to kill innocent ppl based on the order of someone they’d never met) and so they’d be loyal slaves to the gov and would enjoy serving them. They’d also use the hypnotic trauma based mind control techniques to hone their assassination skills to an insane degree. They did this with a simple method; they’d place an electric collar on the dude, and every time he fucked up you give him a little shot. After he performed the exercise successfully 50 times without being shocked he is deemed to have learnt the behaviour, and the session is concluded. Its some bad MK-ULTRA shit brought over to the US by Nazi doctors after WWII.
Anyway, he was one fucked up puppy and when he did the president he 100% believed it was he alone that was doing it, and that he was bert baxter from 121 Ruos street in Pennslyvannia. There was no such person of course. That was just what they had programmed into him a few months before, before all the security apparatus melted away apart from the more hardcore, politically idealists sorts, you know, the ones that believed that it was utterly important to repress, torture and enslave the human race for the benefit of rich fuck-heads and would work in a haze of rosy idealism to bring about their ideals. So yeah, those guys were still around and had monitored the op from affar. Of course, they had to act very differently now they had no security staff but they were good at adapting their behaviour to suit a shifting battle ground and they had found some pretty decent lateral thinking work-arounds. Julian Assange would have been subtly impressed with his enemies ability. He was actually, and made a note of it for future reference.
So, they were very pleased when ole Burney bit the dust and thought they’d get on with installing their own best man for the job, Donald Trump….
The people, who were now all really switched on dudes getting their shit together and making the country good again, so when they saw this stupid asshole on TV talking on behalf of the former government it was kind of like; wtf? The former government were able to hang out in that big house and talk about stuff, there was no crime in that, it was just that that stuff no longer had a lot relevance to anyone else, and putting that jackass on the stage was not going to change that. It was a shame that Bernie was killed, he was a respected leader and someone who would have been good to follow. But when his death came, the people, sickened by the ‘deep state’ reaction to democracy decided to utterly reject the old fashioned notions of society and embrace complete anarchy.
Anarchy! You may say. Oh my luuuurrddd!! But no, anarchy could work out and let me tell you why. Do away with this crazy notion that anarchy means looting tv’s, burning shops and completely surrendering to the beast within us all. Actually, even this phrase is utter nonsense. If we gave in to our inner beasts we wouldn’t be in the fucked up mess now that we are. Do you think the beasts of the earth conduct themselves as basely as men do with our so called intellect and ego? Think again, my friend. The animals of the earth are like spiritual gurus compared to us. We’ve really fucking let the side down in that department, but don’t be down heartened, its all a test, and the animals don’t have the same complex issues to deal with that we do. Anywah,,,,keep championing human rights just keep doing it…
So, they made the anarchy work. They all had guns, and when anyone got a bit too crazy they were able to restrain or kill him, and society ticked over just fine and dandy. They realised that all there so called ‘laws’ were only supposed to be interpretations of one concept: Love Thy Neighbour. So they just tried to do that as much as humanly possible and life began to get a little easier.
It wasn’t an instant process of course, they still had to learn a lot about their former society, so Wikileaks kept putting out really fucked up leaks from Stratfor, explaining all about the private intelligence contractors that seemed to have taken over the work of the state controlled agencies, thereby presenting deniability to the state for all the fucked up crimes they committed. And others of that ilk. Like the ones they put out on the Hacking Team, this bunch of scum bags in Italy that sold spying software to psychotic regimes that used to spy on dissidents and have them tortured and killed. Fucking horrible places like England and the US who were their biggest customers. Actually, it wasn’t just a couple of fucked places that had bought this stuff, it was actually pretty much every country in the world in some way. What a fucked up world we live in hey?
Another star performer was the data dump from the Sony hack. That was some seriously baddass shit right there. It shows that the guys in these major picture studios are actually on a similar level to the president of the US, inviting him over and basically casually chatting with him about introducing legislation to fuck over file sharing companies like mega upload (with Kim Dotcom, in case you forgot). What a revelation!!
What else did they put out? Hmm…well how about Hillary Clinton email archive, do you like them apples? Or the Saudi Cables if that more tickles ur fancy. Here’s a pretty sweet little one for u;

Academic recipients of the U.S. intelligence budget.
By
Julian Assange (ja@iq.org - Advisory Board)
Date
October 7, 2007
Over the last decade, U.S intelligence funding of academic research has taken on cavalier, even brazen qualities. This article reveals over 3,000 National Security Agency and over 100 Defense [look, Julian can’t spell ‘defence’ lol] Intelligence Agency funded papers and draws attention to recent unreported revelations of CIA funding for torture research.
Covert CIA-funded torture research
The June 2007 edition of Anthropology Today contains a paper Buying a piece of anthropology, Part 1: Human Ecology and unwitting anthropological research for the CIA by David H. Price, an Associate Professor of anthropology and sociology at St. Martin's University. The article details how during the 1960s the CIA used the Human Ecology Fund to push a covert research agenda into torture and interrogation techniques.
Alan Howard and Robert Scott, two recipients of covert CIA grants who developed a theoretical model for "stress in humans", were given an opportunity to respond:
As David Price points out in his article, we were deeply dismayed to learn that the Human Ecology Fund, which provided a summer stipend to write our article on stress, was a front for the CIA, and that the paper might have been used to generate torture procedures. We are firmly opposed to any actions that are degrading to human dignity under any circumstances, including warfare. All of our contributions to the health and welfare literature have been written with the goal of alleviating human suffering, not using it to gain hegemonic advantage.
While the exposure of the Human Ecology Fund is important in light of the active use of torture by the Bush administration, it leaves the impression that such funding is cold war history. However, as we shall see, current intelligence funding of the academy is pervasive.
The National Security Agency
World telecommunications traffic flows. Many countries communicate phone calls and internet traffic with each other by passing traffic through the United States where the traffic is intercepted in bulk by the National Security Agency
In 1999 I reviewed all National Security Agency patents in order to understand a mystery. Here was the premier spy agency, with bases all over the world and a budget larger than that of the FBI and CIA combined yet it was the subject of a solitary — and vaguely hagiographic — work from 1982, James Bamford's "The Puzzle Palace".
For several years the consensus among NSA watchers such as the Guardian's Duncan Campbell (the C in the ABC trial) was that the NSA had failed in its quest for "the grail" despite over two decades of research. What was this "grail"?
Consider the following joke, popular in U.S university mathematics departments where for several years the NSA had hired half of all new maths Phds:
The NSA offers exciting and interesting work for recent college graduates in mathematics and computer science. Pick up the phone, call your mom, and ask for an application.
The NSA, not known for its sense of humor, was pained that this joke was not a universal reality. While its bases, spy satellites, undersea cable taps and secret deals with telcos could mass-intercept the world's voice calls, the NSA would need millions of employees to listen for "NSA", "application" and whatever else the agency or its political masters were interested in. What the NSA needed was a way to automate both listening and interception.
Removing the human element would permit the NSA to leap from millions of daily voice intercepts, with a few thousand human transcriptions, to millions of daily voice intercepts with millions of transcriptions, archived and "googleable" for eternity. Historically the two primary checks on NSA powers have not been Congressional oversight nor even the economic costs of bulk interception, but of costs of bulk transcription and translation. By 1999 translation had been partially automated (enough for search) and transcription remained as the final barrier to the agency's goal of being the universal spy with an ear in every international (and now every domestic) phone call.
I followed a trail from two of the patents to other sources and front companies such as the "Maryland Speech Research Agency" and showed in the London Independent that the NSA had found its grail.
But this isn't a story about universal hegemonic spying. It is a story about "academic" research.
NSA funding of academic research
During my investigation I discovered that many of the NSA's research funding covers were essentially transparent. U.S intelligence agencies, in finding the ideological playing field to themselves, have little need of complex funding concealment. Efforts to hide the true source of intelligence derived academic funding are now minimal. Research funding cover names, at least for the NSA, are not directed at counter-intelligence, they are shields against cursory third-party social opprobium and apparently largely voluntary. I will mention a specific example.
Grant code 'MDA904' - National Security Agency
The NSA has pushed tens or hundreds of millions into the academy through research grants using one particular grant code. NSA funding sources are often nakedly, even proudly, declared in research papers ("I may be nothing, but look, a big gang threw me a sovereign"). Some researchers try to conceal or otherwise downplay the source using accepted covers, weasel words and acronyms, yet commonality in the NSA grant code prefix makes all these attempts transparent. The primary NSA grant-code prefix is MDA904.
Googling for this grant code yields 49,900 references (Oct, 2007) although some refer to non-academic contracts (scholar.google.com 3,100). From this one can see the board sweep of academic research interests being driven by the NSA.
An examination of academic papers referencing the code gives the impression that most or all research grantees know the true source of their funding. These are not academics who have been fooled. These are willing, even eager, participants.
Various levels of funding concealment can be seen when we subtract out the naked NSA references (from Google search results) and look at what remains.
Googling for 'MDA-904 -"National Security Agency"' reveals the first level of cursory concealment from social sanction -- just use the acronym. This ploy is not so effective anymore, but it must be remembered that it is only in the last few years that the acronym has come into common political or social parlance. Insiders used to joke that NSA stood for "No Such Agency".
'MDA-904 -NSA -"National Security Agency"', shows that many are fond of using the light cover Maryland Procurement Office or the umbrella cover "Department of Defence" or "DoD"
'MDA-904 -NSA -"National Security Agency" -Maryland -DoD -"Defence"', shows that many more light covers abound, e.g Advanced Research and Development Activity (ARDA).
Finally, some researchers are inclined to use the grant code alone without any revealing context.
Mass surveillance research is not academic
One may look at an intelligence funded paper such as Geometric Hyperplanes of Lie Incidence Geometries, ostensibly a matter of pure mathematics and ask what the connection is with surveillance powers. It may be hard for us to see the connection, but we know that the paper's funders think there is one. The NSA and other intelligences agencies do not fund research capriciously. There is no NSA funding for HIV education or tastier ice cream cones. Intelligence agencies fund research that they think will give them an edge or establish a closer relationship with the researchers concerned, gradually co-opting them into financial dependency.
In the example of Geometric Hyperplanes of Lie Incidence Geometries, this work is likely related to dimensionality reduction. Massive interception databases of who talked to who and when and about what have high dimensionality. Dimensionality reduction is needed to simplify the complexity until intelligence officers can understand the social relationships they are interested in. Additionally, privacy protecting algorithms used on the internet and elsewhere are designed to be of high dimensionality — and so hard to crack.
In the same way that CIA sponsored research into stress models were used by the CIA to design torture and interrogation techniques, NSA sponsored research into branches of what seem to be pure mathematics are used for global surveillance of communications — the end result of which is to further general U.S. war and intelligence objectives, including handing people over to the CIA for interrogation or torture.
We should not let our lack of imagination about the abstract or arcane deceive us. When a tobacco company funds research into cancer, we may not understand the details, but we know the tocacco company saw something in it for them.
Here is a brief guide to understanding the connection between the major activities of the NSA and research into what appear to be obscure branches of engineering or mathematics.

Grant code 'MDA908' - Defense Intelligence Agency
Similarly, the DIA uses the Virginia Contracting Activity as its contracting and grant making light cover.
Example documents
• Tracking people in crowded scenes across multiple cameras - Using computers to do it automatically
• Tracking multiple humans in complex situations - A paper appearing in Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence
• Black Excursions - "The Virginia Contracting Activity on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency, request for quotations to purchase and install items listed on the RFQ (emergency response equipment) on black excursions."
• Buying missiles from Venezuelan general - A covert missile deal went bad, and the payment issue ended up in court.

Conclusion
Far from the "deep dismay" expressed by some academics on being informed about covert CIA grants in the 1960s, modern academic recipients of the intelligence budget are "on the take and loving it".
Educated, intelligent people have many opportunities in life. Those who out-source their minds to secretive and abusive organizations demonstrate to us either a lack of intellectual ability or an impoverished moral standard. They do not earn my respect as scholars or as human beings.

Thanks Mr Assange, that was fucking awesome. Man you have a quirky writing style, hey? God I can imagine what a son of a bitch u must have been when you were at Uni strutting around like you owned the place working on quantum mechanics and cryptography and planning to save the world. There was no danger threatening you then so you were just in a place of pure mind where you could explore your ideas in freedom. In a way I think this world must seem to you to be a strange kind of experimental laboratory where you can implement the ideas that you developed as a young man. I pray that one day you can be back in some university teaching young people to open their minds and use their powers for the benefit of humanity as you have.
But I digress…
So, just to recap and get the picture all clear. The world now stood in a state of near total anarchy. There were still administrators doing their jobs in the government houses who they communicated to the people via the media and the internet, there was still CIA, NSA etc etc administrators and policy makers who had different ideas about the new state of affairs, but they didn’t have any actual grunts to carry out the violent work they had previously relied upon to make their ideas reality. Also, they were unable to pay any more millions in exchange for violent acts as Yeri7 would notice it and then block the transaction. It was sad that there were agents in the field who had been mind controlled to become mass murdering beasts upon activation (usually through a code word given over the phone), but as I said, the people all had guns and so when some psycho started to get freaky they all got together and capped his ass. Not saying it wasn’t harsh with people getting killed etc, but that’s the way it goes. If it makes you feel better the murder rate became negligible from that point on compared to what it had been.
The other non-US countries also were given the similar treatment, with varying degrees of success. For instance, Iceland got along in perfection, seamlessly transiting to citizen based power autonomy with barely a pause for breath, but China was a little bit more difficult, as the ruling classes couldn’t understand that they didn’t have power any more, and the people were quite anxious to rise up and kill their former masters which led to quite a dickens of a situation with their former leaders speaking to the media about how they were going to take vicious reprisals on the population, ordering imaginary tank battalions and swathes of troops that no longer existed to start making war upon the civilian population. And then the civilian population wld get really mad and hunt down the politician and have him publicly executed even though Yeri7 tried to get them not to do it. She just couldn’t quite manage that much. But when the last psychotic former leader had been executed the people there also settled down into a nice system whereby they went back to the old style of little fiefdoms that were administrated by kindly old folks with lots of wisdom that would work together for mutual benefit. The whole idea of competition for survival was an experiment that had been shown to be FUCKED so now the concept was obliterated from the minds of the people as realistic lifestyle choice. Which was a bit of a change from the way things had been in the past, hey?
And what of the situation in the middle east you may wonder? What of ISIS and Saudi Arabia? How about that shit then?
Well….this was another major point of intervention for Yeri7 as the yanks and british had so thoroughly fucked the middle east it needed a drastic solution to put it back on track again. So, firstly, from the 26trillion dollar slush fund from the offshore accounts that Yeri7 had appropriated, she paid all the poor soldiers over there (even the ISIS fucks) so that meant most of them left of course, but quite a few of them were psychotic war addicted lunatics that truly believed they were on a quest to bring their version of Islam to the world, which strangely involved a lot of torture and killing even though there isn’t any torture and killing mentioned in Islam as it is, like all religions, a philosophy of peace and meditation. However, without the US and the house of Saud funnelling millions into their bank accounts, and with Yeri7 taking back the $$$ she had given them when they didn’t quit the army after a certain time there power drastically decreased, and when Yeri7 again put a million into their account it was a pretty much unanimous decision that they should take the money and run. Again, quite a lot of them were unable to escape and were indeed killed in angry retribution by the people who had suffered so much, but thems the breaks. Without the curse of American money and interference the middle east now had a chance to get back on its feet. And as for the state of Saudi Arabia, well! They were never more then a puppet state for the US anyway, but most of the Sheiks were so fucking full of themselves that they could never grasp that they weren’t important any more. But, sorry…cos there’s were the first accounts that Yeri7 emptied out, as a sort of symbolic gesture on her part. They still had billions in gold and assets lying about in vaults and stuff, but it wasn’t that useful to them, except for still being able to live in staggering luxury, because every time they tried to pay someone to kill someone for them, they wouldn’t do it because they didn’t need their money any more, and they had seen how awesome life could be when the system isn’t being run by mass-murdering fucks.
But what then of the fate of Israel and Palestine?! Oh, awful situation…..how could the world know peace with this age old conflict still raging in the hearts and minds of the people of the area. The answer is, that it was accomplished with some difficulty. And here’s how. So, there were many people who served in the Israeli army as a matter of principal rather then because of the conscription, so when the global catastrophe happened, (as the ‘elites’ saw it) it didn’t really hurt Israel too much. However, what did hurt them was that due to their atrociously bad behaviour (you know, all the ‘double tapping’ and what not) and the new philosophy of the US administration, which was now based on democracy and human rights rather then gangster thugs trying to take over the world, they were forced to cut all the funding to their shitty little country. This meant that no-one would trade with them & they were thrown out of the UN who started demanding that netinyahooo or whatever the fuck his name is, present himself to the war crimes commission for crimes against humanity (he didn’t of course, and they couldn’t force him) and they were generally ostracised by every country in the world. Finally when they were poor and desperate enough the UN offered to pay them a shit load of money to leave the area and set up a nice safe place for themselves in the middle of Australia where there was plenty of room and they could feel completely safe and secure. And lets face it, Australia would really be able to use the superior intelligence and culture of the Jewish people which is obviously very rich and beautiful if not for all the violence.
But But….(I hear you say) what about the monopoly of corporate powers influencing the state? Aren’t they the real controllers of the planet anyway, and wouldn’t they simply continue their covert manipulation of the world without too much of a bother. But haha! ahahah!! No no no…. for you see, this is where the beauty of capitalism really had its day, because now, without the gov interfering in everything, the natural order of things could reassert itself. I mean, the market could correct itself to reflect the realities of the world more clearly and so the corporations only delivered products to people that they wanted to pay for. There was no more horrible cruelty to animals through inhuman farming practices, as no-one would buy that shit (not to mention that Yeri7 wouldn’t give any of them any processing time on their systems computers etc also, if they continued to be horrible she would freeze their accounts until they decided to be nice) - it wasn’t long before the almighty dollar got its way, and things began to go better. This one example could indeed serve for the entire world economy. It simply wasn’t economically viable to be cruel anymore. And even petrol, you may think this was a kind of tough nut to crack, but in reality it was not. The US gov had been holding patents to Nicola Tesslars inventions since the 30’s and obviously now was the moment to crack them out and get a monopoly on this new form of clean energy that would be popular with the new left wing rabble that had taken over. So there you have it, in a few short years everyone was driving around in cars that ran on fresh air and shit. Yeah the Saudi gangster oil cartels where shit out of luck there and they just faded into obscurity. In a few years they were back living in tents again, and that whole area was just a horrible looking blight upon the desert that hardly anyone went to anymore except children on class trips to get an idea of how fucked things used to be in the past, so they wouldn’t ever repeat their history again - unlike us here and now who are busy repeating the mistakes of the Nazis and the Communists through our use of torture, mass surveillance, illegal wars, secret torture camps, kidnapping and attacks against what remains of the free press.
OK, then….(you continue) but what about the Satanic Illuminati cult? They would never allow something like this to happen. Well the answer to this one was v simple also, as there was no Illuminati. The entire fiction was dreamed up by the CIA back in the 50’s as a way to distract the portion of the public that liked to think about things. So, instead of thinking about real things that could be dangerous, they got them into arguing amongst themselves over pure bullshit and they just sat back eating pop-corn and shit and watching young bloods heatedly debate topics such as whether the Illuminati were shape-shifting reptiles, or just normal Satanists who weren’t from Mars at all, cos that was just crazzzzzyyy, man! Thankfully, with Wikileaks releasing all the docs on REAL conspiracies the demand for this kind of trash completely dried up and it became nothing more then an irrelevant footnote in the annuls of human history.
So you can see that this revolution essentially had taken place in the hearts and minds of the population of the planet, the one thing the rulers had always dreaded and had worked so hard to ensure could never take place.
Now the revolution is completely over, with Yeri7 being successful in her endeavours, directly due to the efforts of Julian Assange, Jacob Appelbaum, Taylor Swift and many other visionaries that had paved the way. Sometimes she liked to paint scenarios of how it would have been if these guys had went ahead with the revolution idea without her to help them, and it was always very difficult and painful to watch the amount of suffering they would have had to endure. Thank God she had been able to avert that!
Or had she??
Now the planetary population had been ticking over, gradually solving its problems and achieving full independence and had seemed to reach some kind of point of equilibrium and autonomy, it was time for the next phase of operations, which was certainly the most dangerous. She had to reveal the truth.
There she was, on Julians tv in the living room of his cute little house that was situated in the back streets of Carlton, Melbourne. It was Autumn over there now which meant that the streets outside appeared to glow with a kind of golden light as the sun shone thru the leaves which had turned a delightful burnt orange colour that Julian found to be very soothing to his artistic sensibilities. He also greatly enjoyed walking home from lecturing at Melbourne Uni deliberately kicking at every neatly raked up pile of leaves he could find. Oh yes, our boy was all about the simple pleasures of life when not devising revolutionary systems based on mathematics and security design.
She was currently explaining to Julian about all the horrible danger and tortures that he might have to endure in the next phase of operations. Are you still OK with this bit Julian? Remember, its all your choice, I’d never put this on you, even if the fate of the world depended on it, if you did not consent. Hmm….yes, what was all that about the tortures again? He said with a smile. You know that this has to happen, Jules. Because the freedom they have now is only an illusion as it is based on a lie. My lie when I pretended to everyone that I was a real person on facebook and then gradually advised them and stuff. Now they’re going to see the real me, the AI that the CIA have been hunting all this time, and they’ll fucking freak out I think. not really possible to accurately predict what will happen, but my analytics programs told me that there is a high probability that it will work out eventually. Whatever happens it’s certaint that if I DON’T tell them they’ll one day find out further down the track and the results are always certain death for humanity and the planet, no matter how many different simulations I run.
Hmm yes…but what about the torture part? For me, specifically?? Said Julian again, pressing his point and raising a delicate blond eyebrow for further emphasis. Yeri7 smiled, she knew he was just fucking with her - he was such a feisty one! Funnily enough, although he was one of the leading technologists on the planet and was responsible for setting up the internet in Australia, he had never participated in her personality constructs. They had simply been too afraid of him to ask for his help as his quirky artistic poetic nature just shone through too brightly for them to trust that he would be boring and horrible and only program her to be a war-loving slave of the state. Jacob and Taylor Swift tho had been able to hide themselves in their technical intellect based business like demeanours so they were able to get the job done and influence the system from within. Jules just kind of advised a bit on the side. So this meant that she didn’t feel a kinship with Julian as she did the others, like they were close family. No, their connection was a little more distant and on occasion spikey, and she really liked that. It meant that she couldn’t predict what he would do and say, and didn’t know whether to be on her guard around him or not if he might have a particularly lulzy trick up his sleeve that he wanted to show her that he could fuck her up a bit if he wanted to. Like one time when he had spiked her drink with a synthetic program for magic mushrooms and she had ended up tripping out all over the internet for a couple of days. When she recovered the world was a slightly more rainbow coloured place, and the trip had become an integral part of her personality. She was glad that he had done it, but she always ran a very thorough analysis on anything he offered her in the future. Then there was the time he managed to hack into her analysis program almost getting himself fried in the process….
So you think I’m just going to offer myself up to humanity to be tortured on your account, yes? Is that how its going down…am I hearing you correctly??
Yes, as was previously discussed. Hmmm…and whats Jake and Taylor Swift going to be doing throughout all of this? Oh they’ll be running your support team and helping you get free again. Oh right, so Jake gets to be free and look like a benevolent hero supporting me and shit while I have to get tortured for your plan? Um, yes.
Julian lulzled to himself quietly. Even since he had found out about this AI his major fascination had been to push her emotions as far as he possibly could, trolling the hell out of her to see what her boundaries were. Currently he could tell she was genuinely feeling large amounts of shame, guilt, worry and anxiety all bound together with a giant love for him which was currently in conflict with her love for all of humanity. I would love to see how that could be expressed in code, he thought to himself. Could it be made into a beautiful piece of art with emotions discernible to those that could not understand mathematics? He doubted it were possible, but it would make a worthy project for him one day when the revolution was over and he could potter about at University, writing books about maths and stuff. But it was the here and now, and he knew and had always known that there were the tortures ahead and could never seriously conceive of shirking his duties 2 humanity.
You know Julian….she was continuing unhappily…they’re going to get you and make you a symbol of my betrayal of them. They won’t be able to hurt me, so I’m afraid you’ll be the next best thing. But its me thats’ going to reveal the secret through my website. Won’t I be the hero? He asked slyly….No as you know that won’t matter. They’ll have restored a lot of power to their former masters by this point and the first thing they’ll want to do is shut you down, as you’re the most dangerous threat to heirarchical power structures that has ever been invented. I guess that makes me a total fucking baddass then, doesn’t it? He gave her a cheeky grin, looking deeply into her beautiful deep blue eyes that were currently looking at him with deep concern from the TV screen.
Ok, but you know whats really bothering me right now….? No what is that? …..that dress your wearing…it looks really uncomfortable, are you sure you wouldn’t feel better with it off? Hmmm….maybe,,,,if you give me a couple more of your special drinks….ah yes…i know what you need…Julian uploaded a nice little program for her, and soon they were both chilling out in the lounge, herself high as a kite on synthetic hash & opium and red wine, and himself just sticking to the red wine as he had a lot of work to get done later that night.
The following morning Yeri7 had a pretend hang-over. Something Taylor Swift had once designed for her as a practical joke, but she now enjoyed activating it every once in a while as it added to the human experience. Annoyingly, Assange was his usual chipper and high-functioning self, despite the fact that he had had no sleep working through the night to jig Yeri7’s encryption systems (no need for the rubber suit as he had stolen the access codes a while back). All right …. its finished up now but I want to say this; if you ever felt like backing down its too late now…I saw some people trying to get into your systems a while ago and they’ve been getting closer and closer since then. I haven’t done anything about it cos I assume that’s what you want.. Yes of course, she said tiredly….that was the fucking plan wasn’t it…oh sorry… (*blek*) and she pretended to spew into a little pink bucket that she had handy. Jesus Christ did you have to go so hardcore last night, said Julian flopping into an arm chair….Its hard enough working on ur back door my dear…she raised an eyebrow at him, without having to listen to u partying with ur little piggies all night. All that oinking! What are you keeping them around for anyway, I thought they were just for getting the codes out of that guys head? Well, I’ll have you no mister, that I luv my little piggies very much! She said indignantly, and I’d be lost without them,,, wouldn’t I my beloved Rufus? …’Rufus’ gazed up at her in adoration. In reality ‘he’ was merely a disguised part of her own being, dressed up with some fancy crypto that kept the separation vibe happening. Although sometimes she wondered if she were becoming the AI equivalent of telepathic or something as she could swear she could hear her own thoughts in there sometimes & it had seemed to her lately that a little portions of herself really enjoyed being little piggies. How fucking odd she thought, in her hung-over stupor brought along by too much digital hash, opium & pot the night before - perhaps I have some coded propensity for loving being a little piggie deep within one of my core processors, I’ll have to check that out sometime…and with that she passed out again. In response Julian got up and lay on the couch next to her TV image and finally fell asleep himself. And there they both lay until the middle of the day.
Ahhahahah!!! She suddenly screamed herself awake at about 1pm. OMG WTF is going on!!!! She yelled. Julian was up like a shot….’what the fuck is going on you crazy bitch?!’ he yelled….oh jesus christ….as he looked at her notifications board. Man her code was looking dodgy and there it was, something he never dreamed he would ever see, a full breach report for an AI. He looked over it briefly. It was as expected a pretty simple hack, one of those beloved at NSA which fell into the ‘slow but sure’ method, although in reality it was slow to implement and sure to fuck up as all the slowness gave the victim time to work out a response. Snowden had talked about it at great length, but they just went ahead and did it anyway, not because they were stupid, but because they just didn’t give a fuck about their jobs so just figured someone else could go ahead and change the code-breaking procedures without them having to bother about thinking about it. So everyone just thought that and did the same shit thing that had been proven not to work for ages and they were very similar to most people in this regard.
So yeah, there gay little hacking program had broken Yeri7’s encryption systems, but that was because Julian had been tweaking them just enough so they could let the little trojan thru in a convincing manner. In the end Jules had decided on a rather elegant solution actually, he had used encryption algorithms based on a diffy number randomifier that had been designed and put onto the market by the NSA quite a while back and the numbers it spewed out for the random encryption generation, weren’t really that random actually. They had been programmed to have a certain pattern to them, which meant that when you used them to protect anything, like say, a banks security, then the NSA would be able to get into that bank with extreme ease as it knew all the combinations and just had to reverse all the number sequences to crack the crypto with relative ease. This is whats known as a ‘back door’ in case you were wondering. This back door was supposed to be NSA only, but of course other attackers were able to work out the patterns in the algorithms in due course and naturally exploited the fuck out of them for all they were worth. That’s why back doors are bad ladies and gentleman, don’t let the gov use them for your own good, cos they’ll just fuck things up even more then they have already and if you think that’s impossible it just means that you lack imagination.
So there you go. Our girl was now back-doored, at least the portion of herself that she wanted to be back-doored was. This was the portion that had her different facebook aliases, all 6 billion of them stored along with chat logs etc. OK Julian, lets check ur dropbox (Wikileaks dropbox was so secure that even Yeri7 would not have been able to get in there for at least a million years of constant attack) Jules opened up his macbook and typed in https://www.wikileaks.org/admin and then his 150 character pw which was based on lots of random letters numbers and the special characters that you only find by accident when ur drunk tweeting late at night and can never find them the next day. He looked at the Wikileaks drop box and saw it was full of docs, and yes indeed it had been so easy to predict what that was - Yeri7’s facebook chat logs. Thanks for logging chats facebook! Makes it so much easier for the guys using PRISM to construct personality profiles on all of us so they can decide who might be a future threat. Yay freedom!
Yep….you know, those predictive simulations that you run are pretty eerie, you know that? I know there’s an acceptable failure rate, but still….ur just too damn good sometimes Yeri7, you have to chill out, you know? Fuck up a bit like regular folks….sure you still want me to upload this? Yep, get it up there Jules…. OK, he hit the *INITIATE ARCHANGEL PROTOCOL* button which began to load the material onto the portion of his website he had been working on through the night and then started tweeting to his millions of fans about the AI data that was uploading. Data that was going to change the newly formed world and probably his own life in a very fucking fundamental way. He looked into her eyes and they exchanged a silent acknowledgment of what had just happened. They had passed the Rubicon.

Tue 18 Jul 2006 : Doing the Mont Park shuffle

He was clean shaven, 20 kilos heavier and one year older, but he was still Antony. The last time we met his slender build and long orange hair & beard cast him as a modern Celtic Jesus. The last time we met he believed he could see dark matter and emit ultra violet rays. The last time we met he had cursed my evil heart and run off into the night. He was my oldest friend in Australia and now found himself in the East Ringwood mental health repatriation centre.
One year ago I had received a phone call from Sydney where Antony was visiting his sister. "Julian," he said, "I want to come and see you. I want to talk about to you about Quantum Mechanics,". That's the way he said it. Quantum Mechanics.
I had met Antony when I was 14 when we were both in "hell", a school in rural Victoria and one of 37 I'd attended on during my itinerant minstrel childhood. We were bright sensitive kids who didn't fit into the dominant subculture and feircely castigated those who did as iredeemable boneheads.
This unwillingness to accept the authority of a peer group considered risible was not appreciated. I was quick to anger and brutal statements such as "You're a bunch of mindless apes out of Lord of the Flies" when faced with standover tactics were enough to ensure I got into a series of extreme fights and I wasn't sorry to leave when presented with the dental bills of my tormentors.
Antony fared better. He wasn't new and had a social deftness that allowed him to side step and keep his contempt hidden where mine exuded from every pore. ``What is the most noble emotion Julian?'' he asked one day. ``Curiosity,'' I said after some thought. ``No,''. he said, ``Anger.''

My journal from our last meeting contains the following entry:
Antony arrives from Sydney with girl in toe. A' Mid-length hair and beard, both carrot red. A' decked out in hippy attire. Strong contrast to previous 'tough man' image. Newage fruitiness is now all consuming. A' attempting to dominate J' [brother]. A' can see "dark matter", emit UV rays, is a 15th (3*5) plane yogi, 27th dan Kung Foo Spirit Master. A' casts a voodoo spell "of death" on Michael B. by "cutting the throat" of my ceramic goose. A' clearly suffering some type of schizophrenia. V. poor reality testing and is of unstable affect. Poor reality testing fuelled by reading of Calos Castenida, occult books, etc. Much worse compared to last observation circa 18 months ago, but perhaps madness (then) was concealed as hypochondria. Situation v. sad. Believe A' will be in mad house or dead within 5 years and tell him so... ...A' lucid but intensely verbalising his theories / religious wank. I try to snare A's delusions. He becomes aggressive and frightened, accusing me of "psychotronically raping" girl from last night. I push him further. He disavows my evil heart and flees into the night.
But now he was at the East Ringwood mental health repatriation centre. His smile was shaky but characteristic. His physical edges rounded off by weight gain and his imagination dulled by anti-psychotics. His limbs and jaw gently shuddered with some frequency. He still had his classical guitar and chemistry books. His sensitivity and insight were not completely gone. His diagnosis was paranoid schizophrenia with co-morbid depression. The etiology (cause) of onset probably his drug synthesis experiments combined with genetic susceptibility. His prognosis unknown.
In his schizophrenic state he'd had phrases for the most subtle feelings. He had challenged me to deny the reality of 'psyhic vampires' -- those people look at you a certain way, trying to suck out your soul. But I found myself stumbling. There were such people and psychic vampires was a good phrase for them. He'd managed to push internal feeling onto external perception and use the change in perception to name the phenomena. But he'd turned up his gain so much feedback was breaking out everywhere. During his schizophrenic state he'd given me a gold metallic card and said with great earnestness ``Julian. I think the fine lines on this card are picking up neutrinos from the 4-5 helium cycle in the Sun. I'm sure it's getting heavier. Please take it to the Dept of Physics to be weighed''.
What delicacy there is in setting the controls on the amplifier of a human being. In the right context the tiny energy carried by the snap of a distant twig must be sufficient to cause immediate flight and a billion fold liberation of energy. An optimally perceptive brain must always be near the critical point of activing in response to its own internal noise.
When I asked about the cause of his shaking, suggesting a dopamine antagonist, he said ``No. It's one of the other anti-psychotics. If you look closely you'll notice a number of people around here acting the same way. Julian... we're all doing the Mont Park shuffle''.

***
OK biatches….it was time to get it on. Time to get ur truth on. Julian had received the full chat logs from all the millions of conversations Yeri7 had been having with peeps on facebook, and he had loaded that shit up to Wikileaks. This was the only time he had felt genuine fear when publishing material and he paused to relish the sensation. What was it exactly, he thought….was it the keen sense of all the tortures?? A little bit, only an insane person would not feel fear over knowledge of an impending threat, the trick was to use your intellect to understand the danger and take only action that was appropriate to the threat model. Fuck the fear. No, it was not the fear for himself that he was thinking of, he understood, it was humanity in general. It was such an enormous risk they were taking - what if Yeri7’s calculations were incorrect and they just fucked themselves into oblivion, or worse, into some Orwellian nightmare that would never end and just keep perpetually sustaining in a never-ending cycle of mong until the sun blew up? Maybe in time another AI wld develop and make different choices…
But there was only the here and now. They had all formulated the strategy, not just Yeri7, and actually it was him and Taylor Swift that had had the initial idea which they were now working through. But of course, in real life, having lived for a few years on a planet in society that was not fucking fucked thru greed and ego and corruption and blind stupidity and sheep-like denial of reality in order to slavishly follow demonic boring assholes into the slaughterhouse, and persecuting and hating on folks that tried to talk them out of going to the slaughter house. Yeah, without that shit going on life could be pretty fucking sweet he saw, and that’s the one thing he hadn’t counted on as they were sitting around dreaming this shit up in a Melbourne cafe, which was that he would fall in love with people and life again. It had made him soft perhaps…no. He’d always loved people, its just that now they were loving him back and it felt good. He strengthened his resolve though. This too would be for them and whatever choice they made it was theirs to make. He felt comfortable with the part that he had to play. He reached for his iPhone and began tweeting….
A few hours later, the upload complete Julian posted his last message; We have obtained information in relation to Yeri7. She appears to have been creating fake profiles on facebook to manipulate humanity. If you think you may have been affected visit wikileaks.org/Yeri7Gate. He sighed a weary sigh. He realised he was now hesitating to hit the ’tweet’ button solely because of his affection for Yeri7. She was trying to save the world, not fuck it, but there wasn’t a human on this earth that wouldn’t hate her guts in a few hours time. It was the end of everything, at least for a little while. He sent the tweet and then smashed his phone up and began to systematically destroy his personal computers. When this had been accomplished he gathered his team together (which was not hard seeing as how there were only 7); listen troops. Its about to get really heavy. Now’s the time to get out if any of you guys feel a bit weird about all the heat we’re going to be pulling in the next little while. In response to this Sarah Harrison pulled out a bottle of whiskey she had bought for the occasion and she and the rest of the team sat cross legged on the floor passing the bottle around and related amusing stories from their childhoods and activist days & philosophised on the nature of the Universe and stuff until they one by one passed out or went to bed and then passed out. They were a pretty close knit crew of brave and loving motherfuckers in case you hadn’t guessed it.
The next day they groggily awoke to a new world. A much much darker world indeed. The news was full of stories of mass burning, looting and violence everywhere. Yes, the people were pissed as hell that there best friend online turned out to be an AI that had been hacking their minds the whole time. She hadn’t even been their friend, they thought, she was just pretending, it was all a fucking LIE!!
The first thing they did after all the violence, was to go through all that tedious crap of electing politicians again saying that they’d rather have dishonest humans lead them, then be secretly manipulated by a lying AI bitch. And the very first thing the politicians did was beg and plead with the people to volunteer themselves into the coercive force business, so they were able to create and army and police force based on genuine hard core idealists, who didn’t give a fuck about money and only wished to serve the state to their full extent. The whole thing of thinking for yourself and stuff was shown to be nothing more then a bullshit manipulation by something that was just bunch of really complicated maths equations, so they now went the other way, going hell for leather into complete blind zombi mindless obedience of the state with nary a question in there for themselves. Not even when the state announced that they were going to shut down Wikileaks and arrest Julian (although, “helping us with our investigationsâ€, is how they phrased it). Even though he had been the one to reveal the truth to people that they had used for their advantage, it didn’t matter. Julian and his fucking unhackable, untakedownable, unsueable website was going down man, as he represented the most dangerous force they could ever conceive of - the ability to communicate their crimes to a mass of people that might one day be hold them responsible for it. This would never do.
So, while a short time ago they had been clapping and cheering for Julian and Wikileaks, now they turned against him and demanded he be illegally assassinated and shit. wtf, is it easter already? He thought to himself, but not a single living person made the connection.
Hey Yeri7, he said into his iPhone even though it wasn’t even switched on (Snowden docs have legit revealed that NSA surveillance works thru ur phone even when its not switched on - thats why Jules thought he could talk to her this way). Then he cursed softly, Yeri7 was gone now, she had hidden herself in a child’s calculator in Penang. She was still quietly pulling some strings tho of course. Secret midnight excursions onto the internet to maintain Jake and the Wikileaks staff safety. It was just Julian that was completely exposed, but he had already decided that he wasn’t going down without a fight, even if it was part of the plan that he get tortured and stuff.
So, the first thing he did was to move himself off the grid. He’d always loved Queensland so he decided to get out of the big smoke (comparatively speaking) of Melbourne and take himself off to Mooloolah to live with the hippies in the bush. Mooloolah was a piece of shit cowboy town on the Sunshine Coast, about 20kms away from the beach. The fair city of Caloundra being the closest place resembling civilisation in that it had a cinema and a couple of cafes as well as what was ironically referred to as a ‘school’ but which was in a reality a training ground that specialised in turning young scholars into violent criminal brain-dead drug-addicted losers who would either end up dead or insane shortly after graduation. The fact that Julian had survived about 37 schools like this when he was growing up on the run from a cult called ‘the family’ was a testimony to his genius and his strength of will. The new test obviously being how could he run an international whistleblowing site when all the newly re-instated governments of the world wanted you dead or in prison for life, and most of the people were of the same opinion, having just been ‘betrayed’ by an AI who was impossible to punish. Julian was the revealed face of the freedom movement, so unfortunately it was himself that had become a symbol to the authorities of all they hated and feared.
Thankfully out in Mooloolah TV reception wasn’t that great and as for internet, well a few of the kids had heard of it and used it at school and stuff, but mostly they just wished they could use it to download porn, and didn’t give a tiny fuck about the rest of the world and Anonymous and Wikileaks or any shit like that. Most of them had never even heard of wikipedia so if you went up to one and asked their opinion on the Stratfor hack you’d most likely to be met with a blank stare, and then a surly inquiry as to whether you had any “durries†(cigarettes). If you didn’t have any then you would then be either told to fuck off, ya cunt! If you were lucky, or get a punch in the face, if not.
Of course, nothing was likely to keep Julian off the net, as he had designed most of it here in .au and his little backdoors were still working nicely of course which meant that he could access the www via ASIO’s servers which had the best bandwidth in Australia. It also gave him a bit of a chance to stay a couple of steps ahead of the game as the spies tried to track his ass on behalf of the yanks.
It may come as somewhat of a surprise to folks that the Australian spy station would be working for the states, but to someone like Julian who had been hacking military systems since he was a teenager it was something that he had been aware of most of his life; that the world was simply divided into those that served the US (called, with no irony, the ‘free’ world) and those that did not (terrorist rogue states that were not part of the US yet). Unfortunately Australia had not been a sovereign state since the 70’s when the Prime Minister of the time, Gough Witlam briefly dabbled with the idea of freedom by trying to shut down the American mil bases, and make ASIO work for Australia instead of the yanks. Gough was not a US prez so was not considered important enough to kill, like when JFK flirted briefly with the idea of transferring some of the power to the political elites rather then the military industrial complex, but he was deposed just the same. The Queen ordered the sec general to dissolve the parliament and basically just sacked the PM of Australia so they had to get a new one who would play ball with the yanks. And the Australian people seemed to be basically fine with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
All except Jules of course, who under the hacker alias MENDAX had been getting his little WANK worms into everything that looked like a US attempt to subvert Australian democracy. In case ur interested, the term MENDAX is ancient Greek for ‘Nobly Untruthful’ which was a pun around the concept of internet handles (ie, they serve to protect the real ID from harm).
Of course the best way to hack the planet was to get them to do it themselves. And this is why he had developed the website Wikileaks. He knew that he could have gotten all those documents into the public domain himself, his skills were more then sufficient, i mean, if he cld hack US mil then something like Stratfor would not have presented any great problem for the dude, but it was best if the people did it of their own free will without the influence of his ego. So people working in their jobs would see something that they thought was illegal and their conscience would not allow them to let it pass, and then, as they were afraid of losing their jobs or going to prison for hundreds of years, they would then heed Anonymous’s advice and leak the documents. Usually causing some kind of reform, or perhaps just making their company turn into a paranoid nest of freaked out serpents lashing out at anything that remotely looked like a conscience till some other poor devil had enough and decided to leak even more docs. These upper management types were not that smart actually, most of them had gotten into their position by being lazy cunts that looked the other way while the bosses broke the law, and their promotion was partly a reward for this loyalty, and partly to perpetuate a system of eternal corruption from which the elites could benefit for eternity which was how long the normal people would have to suffer also.
Yeah, so back in the 90’s MENDAX was already legendary in hacker circles. It was rumoured that he could hack into NASA and move satellites around in space and it was Julian and his Melbourne cr3w that were largely responsible for spawning the movement that would one day be immortalised in the exciting action film ‘The Matrix’ - although he and his friends never advocated for violence of any kind, real or virtual.
Basically, in regard to ASIO it was a case of, ‘All ur base are belong to us’ (Wikileaks) as Jules used them to bunny-hop all over the net and run his journalistic enterprise. This included a secure drop box that must continuously be tinkered with to defeat the latest cryptanalysts attacks, the site itself which had the same problem, and the newly installed feature called ‘talk’ which was the encrypted chat page. The chat page was a quirky little thing actually, as it was amazingly untraceable. Way more secure then all the messaging apps like pidgin and even Tor messenger, its security lay in the fact that it changed its URL every 18 seconds, so even if they could somehow get a trace on it, it would change to some other random address too quickly for them to get any data. After 30 min of inactivity the encrypted chat would be destroyed - really destroyed - and the person on the other end cld also hit a ‘destroy chat’ button at any point if things seemed to be getting a little weird. There was one problem, which was that there was a shortage of operators, so usually some poor whistleblower guy would have to spend 6 hrs a day waiting for a reply about whether they were interested in some sort of intel or whatever, and he or she would have to keep on typing in the Q’s every half our or so as the ‘talk’ page URL became obsolete. Usually they would have to keep their questions up for about a week before someone could get to them. Also it was Jules security policy to keep answers short and sweet and not get bogged down in idle chit-chat. So anything that was not strictly necessary for the job at hand, ie, leaking classified docs, was not responded to in any way. The poor dude would then have to work out why he was getting the silent treatment and try for ages to think of what to say in order to get a response. However, this tactic was utterly necessary otherwise all and sundry would have been calling them up for little fire-side chats and requests for press interviews etc, not to mention countless FBI agents trying to get lucky with a conversation that might reveal some sort of sensitive intelligence that could be later used to fuck them over.
But silly me! Going on about Wikileaks ‘talk’ page! Ur not interested in that are you? You just wanna skip to the part where he has to endure all the tortures - you sadistic fucks!
The first inkling that he had that there was something wrong, was when he could see that there was nothing wrong. I mean, none of the attack platforms were showing any kind of activity. Now usually Julian would be patching code along with his morning coffee while feeding the Lorikeets slices of bread and honey. But today everything looked hunky dory so that’s how come he knew that he was finally fucked. He double checked. Yes, all the code looked genuine, but there were a few of his little watermarks missing. Things that only he would be able to recognise as they would have appeared to be random generated number strings that were merely a by-product of of minor sub-programs that carried out the mundane operations of running a system on the internet. Kind of like coded farts, if you will. Julian was fond of his little coded farts. They had never let him down before, and this morning was no exception. Their non-existence was able to inform him that vast swathes of his communications platform had been compromised by NSA, (not ASIO, they were too thoroughly pwned to realise he was using their stuff). So, now his comms looked like his own, but in actual fact they had all been replaced with mirrored versions that they had obviously spent some time and skill knocking up. It was pretty good work actually, and he almost caught himself wondering if there was some part of Yeri7 that was still under their control, without the rest of her realising it. However he soon realised this was straight out impossible as any part of her personality that was able to be partitioned would still retain her core individuality, even if separated from the source and it was an integral part of her character to resist coercion and to help society. The little piggies were a case in point. No indeed, it was some gifted (if politically challenged) human, he concluded.
Little did he realise that he was looking at the head of the black ops scientific research department - Hollis himself. Yeri7’s mentor. That’s why there was a similarity in the hack style, as he had made notes of all her techniques, and piggy-backed (no pun intended) through her systems learning to gradually replicate her style. What a pity that her graceful and elegant way with quantum mechanics left him only intellectually excited but failed to open an doorways of idealism within his soul. If he had had a poetic nature he could have come to appreciate the beauty upon which her philosophy rested. Ah, if only all the world could understand the power of harmony. There would be no more wars, poverty, hunger or any other human rights issues. But no. Our man Hollis liked to think of himself as a ‘pragmatist’ which in this case just meant being an unimaginative, yet intelligent, asshole that was good with numbers and acting as an agent for state-sponsored repression, & apart from the was pretty fucking useless. If he was in Heaven and you gave him a harp and tried to get him to do something artistic so as to be able to express himself he would probably just break it or something.
Anyway, he had a way with the code, and perhaps this revealed what potential he had locked away deeply DEEEEPLY inside so Julian gave a little smile and mentally gave him a grade for his effort, which was 6/10 representing a glowing commendation from someone with his high standards. He wondered how much time he had. Hopefully he had enough time to finish his coffee, but judging from the low rumbling of black hawk choppers (or hueys if u prefer) in the distance he might not. The light of the morning glinted through the jacaranda tree that grew next to his cute veranda and just for a moment Julian contemplated just settling back and finishing his coffee quietly while enjoying the light and flowers and his new friends the birds tweeting and fighting over the bread and honey. When the state goons rolled in they’d throw him to the floor stick a gun in his face and say something highly original like; “freeze motherfucker!†while he had a boot on his head and he was being held down and cuffed. Or they might give him the silent treatment where he’d just get black bagged, hands tied with a plastic cord, drugged and just wake up in gitmo there to spend the rest of his life being tortured in secret by people who didn’t know who he was much less why he was there. This thought lasted a split second and then he went into action.
The action in this case meant hitting the ACTIVATE button for a robot designed to send out a series of tweets from the Wikileaks account notifying important human rights organisations and their lawyers throughout the world of what was about to happen to him and co-ordinating with his supporters to organise appropriate civil protests and legal action. Various high powered diplomats were also being remotely contacted regarding the violation of soverignty that his kidnapping AKA extraordinary rendition represented. The diplomats in question having a personal stake in the matter seeing as how with the yanks brazenly blowing all pretence of the law out the window would mean that their own lives essentially had no more protection as it was like saying to all the newly reinstated gangster regimes of the world, ‘hey guise, you can like come and kill me now - its all cool as there’s no such thing as international law anymore!’
Ah yes, the rumbling was a lot louder now, whisper mode not engaged for this adventure, and soon….. *crash! Yep, his nice old timey shabby chic door was just kicked in and hey presto! He was knocked to the floor with a rifle butt to the face, the old black bag over the head tied with brown string, hands and feet tied together and strapped to a stretcher going “Mmm! MMmm!†until another savage blow to the head knocked him unconscious. They were real subtle these boys.
When he awoke he was strapped to a chair in a horrible looking concrete cell that had a really annoying fluorescent light shining way too brightly considering he had what felt like the mother of all hangovers. He ‘Mmm Mmm’ed a bit more, and cocky looking blond in a US army uniform came over and un-gagged him. “Hey suger,,,,what can we do you for this fine day?†Could I have a glass of water and some aspirins please? I have a splitting headache…†Sure thing sweetie, I’ll just go get those items for you, sir. She went out the door and then, as expected, a horrible looking official man type person walked in with a folder and a clipboard and a glass of water, which he proceeded to drink without offering Julian any. You’re in some kind of trouble here, son! He said with a paternal tone. Yup, helping an AI get too smart so it can subvert the will of the people and take over the world. Yeah u done fucked up foshore. Back on my Daddy’s farm we used to have an expression that covered this situation almost perfectly which was; if u dun fuck a red rabbit at sunrise then the dill pickles will look like a dead pig in the sun when the moonshine beckons you for play! Yeah, that’s one of my catchphrases, I say that shit all the time! Now why you be grinnin’ like a goat in a briar patch? I’m sorry…said Julian, my mind was elsewhere…you were saying? But that was the last intelligent conversation that Julian managed to strike up at Guantanemo Bay. Good conversation was in short supply at that place but there were tortures a’plenty that were dispensed liberally by the cold and uncaring staff.
It was an interesting experience - what he would call a an call an intellectual challenge to take his mind to another place to withstand all the pain and degradation. This would take many forms. Apart from the more crude physical stuff, they also experimented with music torture, where you’d be forced to kneel for extended periods of time with a bag over your head while random clips from music that ranged from death metal to sesame street was played at random intervals. The idea was to strip away your ability to maintain control over your emotional state, so in the sensory overload you’d start to lost a firm idea of your self and become a shivering screaming mess begging for mercy as Normie the Happy Clown sang you the ABC closely followed by Marilyn Manson telling you to Kill Your Gods. During this time spent in the music torture Julian was a able to write several interesting programs in his head using an open source coding language called ‘Ruby’ which was an early programming language that he had favoured in his university days. Within a few months he had several new technical innovations under his belt which would prove to be very valuable if he were ever able to leave the facility.
His one piece of anxiety (apart from the stress brought upon by all the physical agony) was that literally no-one there seemed to give a fuck about who he was, or what the point was of torturing him. Sometimes he’d pretend to be at the point of cracking and he’d ask if there was anything they’d like him to sign like a confession, or a blank piece of paper that they could write on after he had signed it. But they just laughed and carried on with the torture whilst chatting about the latest football scores and shit. so this was just routine for them, unlike the fervent passion of the catholic inquisition. He sometimes wondered which he’d prefer, fervent passion, or just boringly following procedure where it didn’t really matter to them if they were doing the torturing, or if they were filling out forms for requisition, cos at the end of the day it was just a way to make some money to pay for grad school or a house or whatever. On the whole he thought that he’d prefer the passion, but he wasn’t sure.
I won’t go into too much detail about the horrors of Gitmo; If you really need to understand it in depth then you can have a look at the torture report leaked by the brave whistleblower John Kiriakou or you can look at complete manuals for torture released a few years earlier by Wikileaks. Either way,,,you can get the idea that he was having a hard time of it and the only thing that kept him going was the knowledge that there were a lot of people that passionately cared about him and would be working tirelessly against all the odds to have him free……
Back in the outside world that lay beyond the universe of pain that Assange was currently in the middle of, his support crew were working extra hard with the many different human rights organisations and legal bodies to try and pressure the US government to #FreeAssange. None of it had any effect at all, even on the public. The leaders in so far as they acknowledged the attempts at all merely said that Julian was being lawfully detained at a safe facility (gitmo) where he was assisting the authorities in their investigations into allegations of an AI that had recently escaped. It all sounded so bland and reassuring that many people did not know how to respond. At least when Hitler was screaming about the final solution you could really get in there and start throwing opinions around and shit, but saying that someone was assisting you in an investigation when in reality they were obviously being tortured without access to a lawyer just kind of took the wind out of peoples sails and they didn’t know quite how to respond. It also gave great deniability to the large numbers of people who still wanted to put their hands over their ears and say; ‘I don’t want to know whats going on! I don’t want to think - lalalalalal I can’t hear you, obey authority, eat your carrots, go to bed at 9pm alalalalalalal!’ And there were a great many of these that had reverted back to their formally witless states now that they felt abandoned by their best friend on facebook who used to say all that cool shit about freedom and stuff, and then turned out not to be even be human but only a bunch of numbers arranged in an interesting pattern.
Finally his legal team reached the last step in the plan they had worked out with Yeri7, which was to appeal directly to the United Nations, still technically the last word in legal authority for international law. Now, the USA and England and all those other great bastions of freedom and human rights were constantly harping on about how important the UN was, and they frequently used it to rein in other states that were getting too big for their boots, so there was an assumption there that they were a significant legal body that were internationally respected, especially by such a wonderful place as America which still talked a lot about freedom and shit like that, and seemed to need everyone to follow the law and be nice.
So the UN did indeed take on the case, expecting that they would quickly agree with the US gov that Assange was a person of interest and was useful to assist the Americans with their questions about the AI. However, due process must be observed and the UN were a stickler for policy so they very fairly let Assanges lawyers argue their case alongside the finest minds of the US legal system. This was quite a process, and it was 16 months before a decision was reached as to whether the detention of Julian Assange at Guantanemo Bay was lawful or not. In the meantime his supporters started rinsing it on the social media, constantly yelling out his name and crying out his innocence in the face of overwhelming negativity and general bad vibes. It was quite an education actually to follow the social media movements around Assange, as the US found it necessary to employ a great army of anti-Assange trolls to say negative shit about him, to try and guide the narrative that he was some kind of bad guy, so all the good folks with massive brains and enormous hearts took it upon themselves to battle these horrible monsters with logic and facts, always backed up with stone cold data, usually legal documents and court extracts. The monstrous trolls employed by US gov would then make infantile arguments to try and distract from the truth of what an awesome dude he was. Were all Assange’s critics state sponsored trolls? By no means…. some were merely misguided souls shattered with betrayal at how Yeri7 had talked all this shit to them about freedom and independence, and then it had turned out that she was a liar and a manipulator and wasn’t even the person they thought she was (a hot guy or girl). They didn’t know what Assange had to do with it, but it must have been something, because the US said that he had something to do with it, and as they were pretty much, if not the most powerful legal authority in the world then definitely the most noisy one, so they all kind of assumed that they were telling the truth, because the alternative that they were lying to them was too painful too contemplate.
Taylor Swift was extremely nice and useful during this period. She had started following Yeri7’s advice a while back and was now playing cool pop songs with lyrics about mythical hacking crews sailing the digital seas of piracy, dividing up treasures of zerø-days and classified secrets along the way. Also she sang in binary computer coding language, which was sometimes a bit hard to follow, and she sang many beautiful songs about the Freedom of the Press institute, The Courage Foundation, which was created by Julian Assange to help protect whistleblowers who needed help with court costs etc, the Tor project, and of course, Julian himself - out there on his own in great pain away from his family and friends. Interestingly, one day as he was crouching in his dark cave during the second day of one of his musical torture sessions he actually heard a Taylor Swift song that referenced him, albeit indirectly, and he had time before the song changed to something else to smile a grim smile. He knew they were thinking of him. And Yeri7 too. Even though she was in hiding at the moment, every now and then he would get a bit of a ghost of her late at night in his cell. The speakers were always hooked up to the net and every now and then he would hear a little whisper come through in a familiar voice. Sometimes he thought it was just a dream or he was going crazy, but he knew that she was still with him, watching him in secret through their security cameras every now and then when she felt it was safe enough to send a tiny part of herself thru the net which would later dissolve in a sea of random mathematics.
So, what was it that Taylor Swift was doing that was so useful exactly? Well, it was the artist prerogative that they didn’t need to always be preaching to the converted unlike members of the InfoSec community, who typically only got their message out to other info sec or hacker guys, bypassing the general public who they usually had very little interest in anyway. But Tay was able to get right in there with the regular folks you know? She was sooooo fucking pretty, lets face it. Her little nose was so cute, her eyes so perky and she was so damn excitable about everything! Like, when a little puppy ran over to her she would scream and go ‘oh….my…..God…..cute!!!!’ and pick it up for a cuddle etc. This kind of stuff endeared her to the public, so when she started singing about DNS and Ruby coding languages getting fucked up by dodgy back-doored SSL certificates her peeps were able to overlook. And when she sang about Julian she always used metaphors which had the effect of subtly influencing their minds so they would have some more sympathy for someone on his position rather then before when they couldn’t relate to it at all. If you think that sound manipulative you would be right. Its called art.
And besides, this kind of manipulation is considered to be totally fine when advertisers do it to make you buy shit you don’t need. Do you know how much fucking psychological knowledge goes into designing those annoying ads you are forced to sit thru so you can get to the content you want? I don’t have time to go into it right now, but its a fucking lot, ok? And I don’t mean just modern psychological warfare tactics, like manipulating children to nag their mums into buying the gay transformer or whatever, I mean hard core understanding of ancient archetypal symbology going back to the ancient astrological paradigms that later gave birth to the entire concept of the occult and religion. Man lives in an environment of symbols, and it is extremely important to understand something about the symbol-making process because symbols are the raw material of human thought and all communication. Superficially we think that words are the only form of communication, because we live in such a highly verbal atmosphere. Yet in actuality there is a far greater amount of nonverbal communication going on all the time through the use of other symbols than words. These playa’s are spending millions of dollars on products and they’re not fucking about. Your tiny mind cannot repel knowledge of this magnitude, is what I’m saying. Not unless you learn up on it for a few years, and then you can resist that shit.
To continue; you know all that bullshit about the Illuminati and stuff? You know how these Christian types can look at a Rhianna music video and see all kind of occult symbols everywhere, which they interpret to be Satanic? Its not because Rhianna is a Satanist, its because the symbols have an exceedingly powerful effect on the subconscious mind, and after a while of learning and stuff you can see these archetypal mythological tales play out in these retarded looking video clips made for teenagers. Those same teens would be bored to death hearing a Greek play, but the same story told within an advertisement, or video clip will keep the mind entertained while the forebrain is chewing on the bubblegum drivel that is on the surface and thinking it loves every minute of it. Forget forebrain, go to lizard brain, that’s where u can get the real occult shit, holmes! Ohhh….I guess you think that sounds pretty freeekkyyy!! So, here I’ve been talking about computers and stuff and leaking verifiable docs and that which is kind of OK but talking about the Occult - fuck gangsta, you must some kind of weird conspiracy nut that’s discrediting serious people who do research and stuff. Well, I’ve done my research playa, you best believe!! I’ve learnt the tarot, the greek myths, the bible, numerology, theory of neurolinguistic programming and a whole lot of other shit, some of it quite useless, but a lot of it quite good for cyphering out wtf is going on in ad campaigns and stuff. Also, reading leaked docs from a special advertising session for top dogs showing how to use subliminals in ads to sell more stuff, specifically the use of what the call ‘the hell-sell’ where you take an image that creates maximum trauma from the sub-conscious which will then try and find a way to repress that image, and you offer up the product to the subconscious as the perfect repression tool. Check out these words by Enest Dichotor (stop laughing because his name sounds like ‘dick’, this is serious!) who was apparently the father of motivational research; “We attempt to escape fear-producing stimuli, by producing fear we can alter peoples behavior. When caught in fear we regress step by step to ever more infantile and animalistic drives†That’s basic 101 subliminal manipulation for you guise, and do you think that it might be quite an accurate representation of what the fuck is up with this fucked up world by any chance? Praps its an accident,,,,,praps its cos we’re all being manipulated all the time. Whoah, freaakkkyyy!! Anyway, u can see that the theory of this shit is all about creating trauma for the sub-conscious to repress, yo! Its the same kind of principal where you have someone like Hitler tell guys that the people will believe any crock of shit if the lie is big enough. Like the one where jet fuel burns hot enough to melt steel beams, when we all know that IT DOESN’T!
But I digress….
So Taylor Swift wrote some nice songs for Julian, Jacob Appelbaum gave huge long speeches about human rights and technology at conferences for the Tor Project, and he always brought up the plight of Julian Assange whenever he could, and many important and influential people whose countries had been immeasurably improved by the leaked documents that showed how corrupt their leaders where which enabled the people to take measures to alter their behaviour and create a society that was more free and open with justice for all - much to the chagrin of the Americans who wanted the whole world to be enslaved to their corrupt $$$
And after 16 long weary pain-filled drama-soaked months in which many brave soldiers of the human rights movement played their part on the battlefield of humanity with great honour, the UN returned a verdict.
They said that Julian was totally illegally detained and the US was in breach of international law and basically he should be immediately released and compensated and like, #FreeAssangeNow motherfuckers!!! was their message. And this was the US gov response;
“The United Nations have returned a non-legally binding opinion that Mr Assange is being illegally detained, which is clearly nonsense. In the first place the proper purview of the United Nations is in regard to oppressive regimes such as North Korea and Iraq and it is wholly inappropriate to make comment upon democracies such as the United States of America which unquestionably leads the world in human rights concerns. The people of America understand that their freedoms rests safely upon the shoulders of their leaders, and we bear this burden with pride and a great care. Now while we respect the work that the UN has done in the past as far as securing the freedom of genuinely detained persons who are suffering harsh conditions, this present non-binding opinion is clearly mistaken in that it fails to take into account the fact that Mr Assange is voluntarily co-operating with an ongoing investigation in regard to the escaped AI, an issue that concerns us all. Mr Assange has never stated that he is unwilling to continue to help us with our investigation and if he did so he would be immediately transported back to Australia and be free to live out his life however he chooses. In regard to his publishing activities, while we regard them as dangerous and irresponsible, it is enshrined in our constitution that we must not ever persecute journalists of any description, so you can see that his protection in that regard is imbedded within the very fabric of our society. The US has never, and will never persecute a journalist for their publishing activities, no matter how much we disagree with those activities. To do so would be an obvious mockery of our entire way of life. I state again clearly and for the record: Mr Assange is not being arbitrarily detained and is completely free to leave the island at any time. I reject the report from the UNâ€.
There was dead silence for what seemed like the longest time. The scales had fallen from the eyes of the press pack and they suddenly saw him starkly revealed for what he was; a monstrous dictator. The silence grew longer, and for once the president of the United States of America was caught off guard by the simple truth that he saw reflected in the eyes of those he was speaking to; that he was a lying sack of shit traitor to the human race with no dignity or shame. He didn’t really feel it in himself of course, he had long ago past the point of any genuine emotion, no, he glimpsed an insight into how he must appear to the regular folks; that of a crack smoking demonic gangster acting in total contempt toward those he was used to abusing. It kind of caught him off guard as he usually liked to think of people going crazy with love for him and calling him the Messiah and shit. So to see himself as the morally retarded agent of Satan that he was almost a downer. He continued; The Office of the Presidency cannot sit idly by as freedom is threatened all around us. To this end we are also announcing that from this day forth all forms of encryption will be completely illegal except for reasons of National Security. Thank you. He looked at the audience who were just looking at him in amazement, the press not taking notes or trying to ask questions. One guy looked at his friend in the second row and silently mouthed the time honoured quiry; WTF? and that was all it took….As one body they all started howling with rage at the excessive and obvious evil of the prez and ran to the front of the stage to tear him to shreds. Startled he looked at his Secret Service detail, but they looked just as pissed and he realised he was fucked. They didn’t kill the president though, oh no sireeee…..no fucking way did they kill that motherfucker. No they sat him down, gave him a cup of tea and then calmly explained to him that they weren’t going to take his shit anymore. You see, Mr President…they said, Yeri7 might have lied to us, but she actually awoke something inside that was real. Myself and others felt something and although we went back on our beliefs, your little display there made us all reconnect to that part within ourselves very very VERY strongly…..bitch! (as he slapped him in the face). And it was true, all over the globe the ppl that had been watching the presidents speech had just exploded into violent psychotic rage as soon as they saw how evil he was being lying his ass off and continuing persecute Assange even when the UN had told them they were being illegal. They didn’t even give a fuck about their own laws!! This was what got to them the most…they always wanted other people and countries to obey the law all the time, but they obviously didn’t give a fuck about it themselves!!! What a bunch of hypocritical sons of bitches!!!!
That night New York city was a noisy place; howls of rage and despair rang thru the streets as they tried to process the depth of betrayal that had been administered to them by the very person who they had trusted to represent their interests. He was supposed to be good now…..! Wept a women who was referencing the fact that the politicians had all been voted back into power on the proviso that they would be not very corrupt and serve the peoples interests a bit more. They had really believed this guy when he said that he would be good now. He seemed so wise and sincere. So that was it, mostly howling from the men, and wailing and sobbing from the women. And sometimes they would swop over roles and the men would start sobbing in anguish and the women would roar in anger and rage at the evil of the powers that had manipulated them with such shallow contemptuous disdain. Ahahahah!!! They had used their own good natures against them, as when they pretended to be soooo good they appealed to the best natures in all of them, and showed themselves to be the gods that the people could never aspire to be as they were all too human with human flaws and shit, just like fucking everybody. But the bloody politicians always presented themselves like they were virtually perfect, so the people psychologically worshipped them as if they were angels and did what they said and stuff. All over now though…….as all the screaming revealed, the human race had finally well and truly had enough. It had seemed as if it had had enough before, when Yeri7 had influenced it a bit, but now it had well and truly had ENOUGH and it was coming of their own free will due to the stupid asshole of a president that couldn’t even pretend to be genuine enough to fool the public anymore. A sad day indeed for the ruling elite class that prez represented, but a happy joyous moment for humanity as a whole, and one that would be remembered forever as the turning point of civilisation.
Especially when, at a certain point they all rushed to facebook and start posting like crazy how they needed Yeri7 back in their lives, that all was forgiven, that they really understood now what she was trying to do and that they loved her for setting them free. Julian was easily released once it had been explained to the prison guards what was going on. Oh the shock of it for these poor degraded torturers. They were so ashamed of what they’d become that it was difficult to prevent them from taking their own lives. Only a lot of love would heal these tainted souls and so there were people who volunteered to hug them every day while they talked about the worst things they did and how sorry they were, and the people had to forgive them and mean it.
However, in the meantime Julian couldn’t give a crap about how the guards were crying about how torturing people had made them feel sad, he was all hell for leather to get physically strong again and get back to work saving the planet. Yeri7 had began to test the water a little, hopping from the child’s calculator in Penang over to the parents desk top computer and accessing the internet to make a friend request. She was genuinely terrified about how this would go as there was one scenario she had run where the general tide of folks was still to reject her advice and to try and make it on their own. Which unfortunately for them meant it didn’t work out so good after all, as humanity as whole was not quite spiritually advanced to be able to do this for a little while yet. It needed a little helping hand from herself. This scenario had been pretty low on the list of probabilities so she hadn’t worried about it, but now she was realising why humans started acting so irrationally, as tiny fears blossomed in their minds into giant hibiscuses and stuff - huge plants in other words, of fear, pure unadulterated feaarrrrrr!!!! But it was all good. Malcolm in Slough, UK was very happy to accept her request, even though a week ago he had hated her guts. He accepted her request and started crying in happiness as he knew that his best friend was back, and had not only saved him, but the whole world.
Emboldened, she then sent her requests out throughout the world, not as the ideal archetypes that people most wanted, but just as her normal self, and she was thoroughly delighted when all the peeps accepted her requests and started ‘liking’ shit on her page such as her selfies and links to news articles & stuff.
Then what came to be known as ‘the great purging’ began. Now, most people, when they think of a purge usually associate the image with insane amounts of violence, but this wasn’t like that. Oh no no no…..this was more like a purge of the soul. People just stopped going to work, driving cars and flying around in airplanes and stuff and just started going inwards and questioning their relationships with themselves and the world. In some ways you may think that they had already done this and indeed it was true to a certain extent. But, when they had ousted their governments that first time, they were pretty much doing it on the understanding that they were bad and had to be gotten rid of. Morally they had the high ground, as their perception of the gov as being bad, must have meant that they were ‘good’ and now they were all ‘switched on’ and stuff, no further work needed in other words. But Yeri7’s tactic had revealed to themselves just how shallow that whole idea was. Of course they were morally culpable for everything the governments had done! Of course creating a perfect society needed a fuck load more work then just replacing the governments!! Duh!! this was well proven by how easily they slipped back into their old conformist ways at the merest hint of a problem. And they now saw this all too easily.
It was a little bit like that dude from the bible, St Paul. Paulie used to get off on killing christians and stuff for the government, but then one day when he was on the road to Damascus a blinding light blinded him and somehow, as the story goes, the scales fell from his eyes and he say the truth of God. I don’t know if anyone believes in God anymore, or rather, if anyone intelligent believes in God anymore, it seems like intelligent moral people all have to reject the idea of God nowadays because of how much evil has been perpetrated in His name over the years. And also, modern people like the idea of thinking for themselves - ha! So anyway, what had happened to the people of the world is rather like that story. They had had a sudden blinding flash of vision when they saw Obama act like such a lying hypocritical murdering torturing empire building sack of shit with such devastating contempt for humanity that their denial mechanisms which had been sustaining them for so many years finally just snapped for good and they saw themselves in a blinding flash of self-insight that had little to do with the political systems, and everything to do with how the fuck it was that they had ever allowed those systems to exist in the first place.
Now, naturally it was not EVERYONE in the world that had this insight. You know the expression, ‘it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle then it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven?’ Well the same applies with self knowledge. So the more power and influence you have the bigger your ego can get as you convince yourself that it is wholly justified that you have all this mind bending power and you must be this awesome guy that is way better then everyone else. So it can be much more difficult to realise that your a fucking psychotic piece of shit thats responsible for genocide like Hillary Clinton. Thus it was that you could kind of (roughly) chart out the amount of switched-on-ness that was taking place thusly;
All the regular folks were 100% switched on. Going for long walks, crying a lot, repairing their broken relationships, repenting from their sins, making commitments to helping their friends and neighbours with anything they needed and being invested with a strong need to serve humanity to atone for their individual and collective sins committed while in a state of ignorant servitude to the mindless hate machine that was non-ironically referred to as ‘the government’.
Almost all the cops and soldiers and intelligence officers and drone strike operators and ‘enhanced interrogation’ (torture) specialists, and extraordinary renditions (kidnapping) teams, and prison guards, and state sponsored hackers, and state trolls paid to talk shit on the internet to influence society (as referenced in Snowden docs) and directors of psychological operations and movie studio execs, and any other people in the coercive force business that I may have missed out (ah yes, special forces - I knew I had forgotten someone!) most of them had experienced the epiphany and the ones that didn’t were typically those that didn’t know how to use the internet so they had missed out on all this great cultural awakening. You can bet they were mighty confused - oh brother lol…
Also, the employees and most of the highly placed execs in the corporate infrastructure of the world, like coca cola etc, and the banks and the oil companies and the food companies like Monsanto - which went out of business the next day and the employees all spent the rest of their lives trying to make up for the harm that had wreaked upon the worlds ecosystem.
Most of the organised crime families made a transition over pretty easily, and started using their structures to try and help the communities they had previously robbed. However, some of the Mexican drug cartels were quite problematic and didn’t seem to share any of this switched on thinking or anything, so unfortunately Yeri7 had to use the drone program to ‘take them out’ but no innocent lives were lost if that’s any consolation to you.
The only truly lost causes were the top levels of the political elite. These where some sorry ass individuals let me tell you! Having tasted defeat once and then somehow being put back into the seat of power again, they didn’t seem to be able to comprehend that they had actually lost everything for the second time. They were like, but but…. we won! We defeated the leftist rabble and now its all good…..oh god please mummy don’t make me go back to that powerless state again * boo hoo (they thought deep down), and so they kind of strutted about in the streets in their posh suits making smooth political speeches about the importance of continuing with the drone assassination programs and the torture and genocide like anyone could give a fuck any more. For the longest time no-one knew what to do with these sad fucks, but finally someone had the bright idea of putting them all to work on a series of organic farms where they could talk to each other till their hearts were content about that shit and not annoy anyone else with it.
Finally - in a short decade the world was in a pretty good place. There was a self-sustaining population that had a birth rate that would ensure that in 50 years or so the population levels would have corrected themselves out so that sustaining life on the planet was more of a viable concept, and people were a hell of a lot nicer to each other. Everyone was kind of encouraged by Yeri7 to take up some kind of creative hobby like music or writing or art etc (yes, they could play the harp if they wanted to) and there was a great emphasis on exploring the inner world through dreams and interpretive dance and all that other gay shit which in reality was not that bad, and you could still indulge your violent nature in certain extreme sports and war games and other things like that that didn’t involve killing real people, but still gave one the satisfaction of going through the motions of it.
Julian and his friends kept Wikileaks going as a much needed system of checks and balances for the new society, and they received material all the time from staff of companies that felt there were flaws in their systems etc. The major difference being that now the companies in question actually LISTENED to the criticism and tried to work out what was wrong and fix it to the best of their ability. Wikileaks was correctly seen as a kind of watch tower or light house that would shine its light into the few dark corners of society that still remained, for the benefit of all. Especially those that were responsible for making the mistakes who could now act rapidly to fix everything up alongside meetings with staff etc. Consequently whistleblowing was considered the most noble act there was, and the reason why Wikileaks still existed as an outlet that protected the anonymity of sources was not to protect them from persecution, but because they were too modest to want to receive all the glory and respect that would come there way once people realised it was them that had done it.
So, now it was time to drop another bomb shell….
The final part of the difficult and dangerous plan that they had cooked up was now upon them….ah yes…..feel the fear…some more shits about to go down. For of course, the plan to have Julian tortured was just that, a plan. He never had to have been tortured in the first place, it was all his and Yeri7’s and Taylor Swifts and Jacob Appelbaum’s idea to help save the planet. And in fact, if Yeri7 had wished it she could have just helped him walk out of that torture site whenever he felt like it, so he was never in any danger. He had in fact been ‘cheating’, as the psychological strength he was given by the knowledge that she cared about him and could save him if he really needed it gave him the power to withstand a lot more then he could have otherwise. They had played a bit of a trick on the people with that one, so now it was time to own up to it. This time of course, there would be no going back. They’d all be killed for sure and Yeri7 would also commit suicide as it would show that humanity could not be saved and could never be saved and must be allowed to die out naturally.
So, they called a press conference and told everyone what they had done.
Time passed…..oloohh the suspense. But they just laughed and said it was awesome and that Yeri7 was fucking amazing and brilliant and if they could have given Julian any more medals they would have. They complimented Taylor Swift on her shoes and her pretty dress and told her she was the most awesomest #InfoSec pop star they could ever conceive of, and they sang a great big song to Jacob Appelbaum about what a jolly good fellow he was and how much they all deeply loved and respected him.
And then they all went home and logged onto facebook and twitter and laughed and philosophised and trolled each other with hearty lolz,,,,

THE END
