She was observant, that would serve Raysha well in the wars to come. “During the Battle of Stenos, Tel’sar captured Coven apprentice Greyson Chance and… My little brother, William.” Aluben turned to face Raysha, and would judge from her reaction on whether or not she knew he was still alive. “I interrogated them both…” Aluben looked at his hand, imagining the Red Lightning and how it had sizzled across the tips of his fingers, whenever the two apprentices refused to answer his questions. “Greyson told me the location of the last Coven stronghold, and all about the Coven’s weakening relationship with the Nightsisters. We won’t have to worry about the Coven much longer, I sent Lord Draguul to destroy what little remains.” Aluben didn’t bother explaining how one man could end what was left of the Coven. He had already explained how he had sent Vlad towards them the first time, and how the Diaboli Amulet would keep him unkillable, making it impossible for the Coven to stop him. “My brother, he told me things too…” He’d been harder to take information from, but Aluben had been trained by Scotos, torture was something he’d once grown accustomed to. “He told me he’s been training as Nigma’s Sith apprentice, and he also gave me the location of Necare’s hidden lab.” Aluben took out a piece of paper and held it out to Raysha. “Before I grabbed Nemo from Dathomir, I sent word to one of your Queensguard. Zander Euraya.” Aluben bit his lip, hoping the Phoenix Queen wouldn’t be angry with him. “He took an elite team of Mandalorian warriors, and plans on combing Necare’s hidden lab for anything we can use to track Nigma.” Aluben would have asked Raysha’s permission to order such a thing, but it was clear in his eyes he was still mourning Kahlan’s death. His rage for her murder still called for her murderer to be slain for what she did, if going behind Raysha’s back, even for just a moment, was what he had to do to bring Nigma justice… He’d do it every time. “Bad things Ray…” Aluben put a hand over hers, hoping it’d comfort her. “I know you care for him, I didn’t know that they were using him until it was too late… Now that I do,” Aluben looked to Nemo, “I’ll go get him.” Aluben, with his hand touching hers, allowed Raysha to see what Lamia had done only hours earlier. From innocent Osric to dangerous Nightsister, Raysha would glean it all, as long as she chose to watch it all.</b>

To know there was a group of witches who had connections to a woman like that made her skin crawl. She grinded her teeth a little hearing him speak of how he tortured the two who were captured but things like that must be doen in war, her hands tighten to firsts. But the anger was clear on her face even her presence in the force was there she was tipping despite her being neutral before. Yet she always pulled back from being consumed completely by the dark and right now was no different despite having an intruder in a place like this she cleared her mind to keep her head on straight as she ordered towards the lethan twi’lek, “tai’ne keep everyone in alert we might have an intruder ..don’t let her leave alive I’ll draw out a sketch in my studio after this,” the twi’lek nodded bowing her head stepping out to relay this information. While Ray looked at Aluben, “we are getting him back ..but I want those nightsister exterminated not one lives you hear me Aluben. We need to prepare for that alongside preparing with everything else I have on my plate but i can’t have anyone threatening you, or anyone you care about I don’t care how bloody things will get no one one touches my blood or you,” She turned off the datapad in her hands remembering the fire Z once had and how snuffed it was now made her feel like this wasn’t right so she asked “but tell me you mentioned you made a deal ..what did you promise? What do you owe them for them to threaten yoru life and that shapeshifter you care about? What could you of possibly made a deal fro that ended with them showing up here of all places to make sure you didn’t go back on your word?” Her voice was steady strict, and heavy just wanting to know what he promised and wanting to know the truth on whatever it was, she stared at Aluben her eyes threatening to burn holes into his, as she reached out to brush his cheek,“and I need you to stop being weak now, I need you to get your head in the game unfolding before us if you stand by me I need you to prove yourself, be strong and let nothing diter you ..you show so much weakness lately and even during stenos that I can’t believe you’v0e survived this long. Even I when i had this weakness had to have it broken from me,” because of how close they where he might see a fragment of a memory of Raysha on a lab table looking up at Necare and Nigma a scalpel, blood but it be faded and blur unable to see what they where doing other than one of Rays eyes staring back In Nigmas hands, “It doesn’t matter .. If I have to I’ll deal with this my self “ she pulled away, “but tell me what you promised to them and I’ll handle it form there” </p>

To know there was a group of witches who had once connection to a woman like that made her skin crawl. She grinded her teeth a little hearing him speak of how he tortured the two who were captured, but things like that must be done in war, her hands tighten to fists she didn’t like it no but it had to be done. The reason se was so upset was becuase Nebula, the look on nebulas face on alubens face looked like regret, before his accident before his losses he would never be like this. He felt so mentally and emotionally weak to her and she hated it she felt the need to protect him because of this. As she stared at Aluben her eyes holding something hidden within them as she nodded, “you have the same amount of power here as me Z, you can command as you like act like a king for all I care I trust you despite what you’ve been doing. Yet she always pulled back from being consumed completely by the dark and right now was no different despite having an intruder in a place like this she cleared her mind to keep her head on straight as she ordered towards the lethan twi’lek, “Tai’ne keep everyone in alert we might have an intruder ..don’t let her leave alive I’ll draw out a sketch in my studio after this,” the twi’lek nodded bowing her head stepping out to relay this information. While Ray looked at Aluben a serious look on her face, “we are getting him back ..but I want those nightsister exterminated not one lives you hear me Aluben. We need to prepare for that alongside preparing with everything else I have on my plate but i can’t have anyone threatening you, or anyone you care about I don’t care how bloody things will get no one one touches my blood or you,” She turned off the datapad in her hands remembering the fire Z once had and how snuffed it was now made her feel like this wasn’t right if he couldn’t do it ..she’ll fix this herself, “but tell me you mentioned you made a deal ..what did you promise? What do you owe them for them to threaten your life and that shapeshifter you care about? What could you of possibly made a deal for that ended with them showing up here of all places to make sure you didn’t go back on your word?” Her voice was steady strict, and heavy just wanting to know what he promised and wanting to know the truth on whatever it was, she stared at Aluben her eyes threatening to burn holes into his, as she reached out to brush his cheek,“and I need you to stop being weak now, I need you to get your head in the game unfolding before us. If you really want to stand by me like you promised me, I need you to prove yourself, be strong and let nothing diter you ..you show so much weakness lately and even during stenos. Those images, they reminded Aluben of reality, of what this Galaxy was and of the people in it. He looked up from Nigma to stare into Raysha’s mismatched eyes, his blue eyes no longer dulled. He forgot how much he had given her, and how vulnerable it made her. He needed to stand at her side, but despite her telling him to do so, he never felt like he could. He’d been evil one too many times, seen and done things no one should see or do. Neyodre broke him. Endor, Kahlan, Triana, their deaths broke him. There wasn’t anything that could bring the Night King out of the darkness he found himself swallowed by, or so he thought…

486Realization hit as Aluben’s gaze followed her hand to her belly, and her words rang through his ears. He felt them, their two small Force signatures, as soon as Raysha allowed him, both through the bond and by dropping her Force stealth technique. “I…” Aluben looked up at Raysha, and though she wasn’t crying on the outside, he felt her doing so through their bond. “Ray…” Aluben stood suddenly, stepping up to the Phoenix Queen, ignoring Tai’ne as the Queensguard stood by the door. “You…” Aluben’s mind was a sea of emotions, twisting and bending this way and that, as his thoughts struggled to process this information. When? He didn’t ask it, but the question lay in his eyes all the same. As if to answer, the bond allowed him a glimpse into both his and Raysha’s memory, one dating back to after the destruction of Neyodre.

488The two of them had been alone, in Raysha’s chambers, talking about the future and drinking. Most of the night ended in a blur, for both of them, but was that when these two… Children of theirs, was born? Tai’ne knew, Aluben again didn’t voice it but Raysha would be able to feel the question through the Ekleipsi bond between them. Aluben reached down towards her stomach, hesitantly, as if unsure if he’d press against it too hard. “I… I don’t want to hurt them…” Aluben rested his hand on her stomach, if Raysha let him, and his eyes widened as he felt them. They were so close, so real… He couldn’t believe it, he just… Another realization rocked Aluben Cryloft, stopping his smile before it could form. He promised the Nightsisters his first born. Kahlan was dead, but these two… Lamia, who was likely long gone by now, had already shown how dangerous she and her people could be. When Aluben made the promise he’d been so confident they would never have anything to collect, but the Night Mother wasn’t disturbed.

490Did she know? Did she see a vision in that flickering flame of hers? Did the voices that once spoke to Tharax speak to Bavmorda and warn her of what was to come? It mattered little now, the dead was done and the deal was struck. The Nightsisters would come for them, for the two small and vulnerable children still developing in Raysha’s belly. “No.” Aluben pulled back, not realizing Raysha might take it as disgust for her or for her lie. “No…” Aluben shook his hand, as if doing so would be enough to keep the Nightsisters away. Since they were recreated by the Mad Witch, the Nightsisters have always collected their debts. Powerful or not, no one has escaped the Night Mother’s wrath thus far. “No Ray…” Aluben reached up to her suddenly, quickly, though not in a threatening way. His hands were wrapped around her face, his eyes looking down at hers, as he’s grown taller than her over the years. “I’ll kill them all… Constance, Laurin, Janel, Rikka, Lamia, Mother Bavmorda, all of the Nightsisters of Dathomir… “I promise you this Raysha.” Aluben’s hands suddenly dropped and he took a step back, unsure of many things, but certain of one thing. He’d keep true to his promise, or die trying.

492“When enough people make false promises words stop meaning anything. Then there are no more answers, only better and better lies. And lies won’t save us Ray. I’ll kill each and every single Nightsister if that’s what it takes, and if the cycle continues because of it then the cycle be damned.” Aluben wouldn’t let their children be harmed, especially when he understood the sort of harm the Night Mother might have in mind for them. “I’ll gather the rogue Sith on Felucia, they won’t be much but they’ll be enough to do what must be done.” Aluben knew as well as Raysha did, that they couldn’t waste their armies fighting a war on Dathomir as long as Primus still lived. “The Empire can’t hinder us along the way if they don’t know we exist. Let me bring them to Dathomir, once Felix is safe I’ll end the Nightsisters, and after…” Aluben wasn’t sure what happened afterwards really. Aluben loves Raysha, but does he love her like he loved Kahlan? Is that even possible? There were so many questions and far too little answers, but maybe those answers would have to wait until the killing was over.
