5This sketch could form a good ENF wiki or be incorporated into one that's already out there. That way it could be conveniently corrected and expanded. It could also be bundled with images and video clips and packed into a ZIP file that would be an ENF 'starter pack'. Recent crackdowns show that the popular addage, 'Nothing ever disappears from the Internet' is not the result of complacency. You have to work to keep stuff in circulation.

27Contrary to some popular accounts a notion of 'nudity as humiliation' existed in Greek culture. Stripping was part of some corporal punishments. Although the Romans did use public baths, female nudity and 'vulnerability' were conceptually linked.

29During the Inquisition, women tested for witchcraft would sometimes be stripped naked with their hands tied behind their back and thrown into water.

31In a May 2014 post to the ASN Board (more on this shortly), user Dormouse posted an excerpt from 'Europe After Rome' by Julia M. H. Smith discussing an ENF incident: 'In 733 a lawsuit came before Liutprand, king of the Lombards. A woman had been bathing alone in the river, having laid her clothes aside on the bank. 'A certain perverse man' took them, and she was forced to walk home naked, 'blushing with shame'. But the shame was not her fault, and Liutprand decreed that the thief had to pay his full wergild in compensation for such a 'shameful' act on the grounds that, if the woman's father, husband, or other male relatives had been on hand, they would have jumped on the man and killed him. Having escaped unseen and unscathed, the thief therefore was required to provide the monetary equivalent of his life.'

33'Caught naked' and other kinds of ENF scenes were later featured in literature and especially film in the 1970s and 1980s which were a kind of 'golden age' for ENF.

38A sales demo for old IBM mainframes was the ASCII art 'Edith' printed in a series of three pictures. In the first Edith is in a revealing bikini, in the next she is topless, and in the third, she is holding a sign in front of her hips reading 'Some things even the IBM mainframes cannot do'. At Stanford in the 1980s the computer science students would pay female coeds to act out porn scenes to display on their computer terminals.

40ENF stories on the Internet no doubt started with chat rooms, forums, and BBSs in the early 1990s (perhaps they even existed on the older university message boards). There were ENF 'Yahoo Groups' sites which were referenced in the 2000s and seemed to be a central part of the contemporary ENF scene.

42The granddaddy ENF story site is 'The ASN Story Board' created and moderated by 'IndianOutlaw' who also maintains 'IndianOutlaw's Stripping Naked Discussion Board'. In a May 31 2009 post to the ASN Board, IndianOutlaw discusses the history of ASN at length and what follows is a summary of that post:

44Sometime in the mid to late 1990s IndianOutlaw discovered an ENF story board called Byron's. It was not run well, did not grow, and eventually vanished but the lack of moderation encouraged contribution and involvement by the site's contributors.

46IndianOutlaw then created his own site and soon it has as many as 5000 unique visitors every day. This settled down to around 2000 every day in 2009.

48A few highlights of the site were a disastrous soundbar playing a clip of a woman screaming 'Bring My dress back here, I'm Naked!' which would play in some browsers automatically. Some people did not know it would work this way and checked it in their offices. There used to be weekly chats and 'strip trivia'. People would send IndianOutlaw unsolicited naked photos, mostly women and one man. A Star Trek episode may have stolen non-ENF ideas from an IndianOutlaw story. A church group once put the ASN story board on a list of top 100 sites to not visit. One regular visitor claimed to be a mostly B-list and sometimes A-list actress, and IndianOutlaw did not believe it until she confirmed her identity in a video chat (he has not and will not say who she is). Note: IndianOutlaw promises complete anonymity to anyone posting, saying 'Short of a court order, what you tell me in confidence, it well confident' [SIC] and 'If you post under an assumed name, unless you give up personal information to someone beyond me IT WILL NOT BE REVEALED! 13 years now, it will not change.'

50IndianOutlaw used his post to discuss some changes he decided to implement circa 2009, among them adding 'Off the Reservation' links because of the popularity of 'the Susan Boyle You Tube link' [SIC]. This link did not have anything to do with stripping <g>.

52At the time IndianOutlaw was 'a victim of the Bush\Obama stimulus plan' and  unemployed. That sounded shaky for the site, since he was paying for hosting, but the site still exists today and continues to host ENF and sometimes ENM stories, more than two decades after it started.

57The site forum.oneclickchicks.com, possibly the largest ENF site on the Internet, is a huge repository of original and reposted ENF. It was started in 2004 and hosts more than 4 terabytes of ENF media. The site stats in 2019 list more than 9 million uploaded files, about 8 million of them are photographs, about 150 thousand are videos. There are almost 150 thousand threads, 2 million posts, and more than 1 million members.

59Some sites like Tumblr were once repositories of ENF photographs and videos, but as of 2018 Tumblr is cracking down on NSFW content and is no longer 'ENF friendly'.

61Sites like Redit, Literotica, DeviantArt, and enf-cmnf.com also host ENF material. Since sites like amazon.com allow authors to create ebooks, some ENF authors use this medium to not only distribute ENF stories but also generate revenue (enf-cfnm.com often posts excerpts from these amazon ebooks). 67The canonical ENF scene in literature is in Mikhail Bulgakov's novel 'Master and Margarita', written in the 1930s and 1940s but not published until the 1960s. This ENF scene had lasting impact because of its many film adaptations. The Devil is in Moscow playing games with its citizens, and he sets them up by giving them beautiful clothing. This clothing later dissapears and a crowd of nude women disperse into the night (two versions of events are given in the novel, one EUF and one ENF, excerpts from https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/showthread.php?t=35999):
68'Rimsky's extremely sharpened hearing suddenly caught the distant trill of a policeman. That in itself never bodes anything pleasant. 76Other ENF scenes were depicted by serious writers throughout the 20th cenury. George Orwell included an ENF scene in his novel 'Keep the Aspidistra Flying'. The title refers to the Aspidistra plant that Orwell's protagonist Gordon Comstock has identified as a middle class virtue signal. Comstock and his girlfriend Rosemary take a trip to the countryside where Comstock tries to have unprotected sex. Rosemary rebuffs him:

84Kurt Vonnegut Jr. included two ENF scenes in his short scifi novel 'Slaughterhouse Five', which follows the life of WWII vet Billy Pilgram who has become 'unstuck in time':
85Gluck led the way to a building that he thought might contain the kitchen, and he opened the sliding door in its side. There wasn't a kitchen in there, though. There was a dressing room adjacent to a communal shower, and there was a lot of steam. In the steam were about thirty teen-age girls with no clothes on. They were German refugees from Breslau, which had been tremendously bombed. They had just arrived in Dresden, too. Dresden was jammed with refugees.

110ENF stories can be divided into two subgenres, the realistic and fantastic. Realistic ENF stories are about scenarios like getting locked out naked or having clothes stolen. Some fantastic stories feature invisibility wearing off, inventions that cause stripping, superheroes, or paranormal forces conspiring to cause nudity.

Maleah snags Carissa's bikini bottoms as she jumps in the pool. A break is called by the life guard, who asks Ben to get Carissa a towel. Ben drops it of course, then says he needs it and takes it away, leaving Carissa in front of everyone with her hands on her crotch. She tries to get to the changing room but is intercepted by 'young perverts' who back her against a fence where her top gets snagged. She asks another boy to help her get unstuck:

Maleah stole her clothes from the changing room so she goes to her car nude, eventually driving past cheering college guys. The story ends with Maleah looking over digital photographs of Carissa's nudity, thinking 'She just might be able to use these someday...'

131For my money this is among the best ENF stories out there. It was one of the first I read and made me expect 'high standards'. It is a four part story about a businesswomen named 'Laura' who gets locked out of her hotel room. She is blond and beautiful but is self-conscious about her body:

133'Like 99% of all women, she also felt that her body was not perfect, especially when she was naked. First and foremost, as much as she liked the attention her rear-end got when she wore tight pants, it was a little on the big side, and jiggled LIKE CRAZY when she walked. Now naked, the thought of people seeing it was almost too much to take. Her boobs, also on the large side, weren’t too saggy, but also weren’t exactly perky. They were 100% natural...and that meant that they were not necessarily Playboy material. Plus, she always thought her nipples were too big. Then there was her belly...not fat, but not exactly flat. Her thighs, smooth and somewhat full, but not really toned. The list went on.'

135Laura showers and then wearing only a towel she tries to stretch outside her door for a newspaper. She slips, loses the towel, and gets locked out of her hotel room. She debates knocking on the door of another guest but decides the best course of action is going strait to the lobby to get a spare key. She's nervous and the story builds very nicely. She walks down the hall nervously slapping her rear, then is caught by an elderly asian man. She covers her face and runs down the hall. She makes it to the stairs and covers her bush with one hand, and grips the bannister with the other: 'Laura knew that no matter what, she did NOT have enough hands to cover up everything she felt insecure about.'

137She forgot that there was a restaraunt at the bottom of the stairs, so she exposes her breasts to the guests, one woman with a smile on her face and then a businessman. Laura rushes to the desk in an excellent climax to the story:

139'“Oh god...oh god...” she kept her legs moving, turned her head away from the people in the restaurant, and reached the bottom of the staircase. She was in full panic mode now as she quickly turned to the right, now exposing her ample fanny to the restaurant, and she ran up to the front desk. The girl working there looked up as Laura approached, and almost fell over from shock. “I...I locked myself out...” Laura said, almost out of breath at this point. The tingling was getting out of hand now, Laura’s head started to get hazy. “Oh ma’am...I am so sorry...oh god, you’re naked....ok...let me get you a new key.” The girl was a little flustered. Laura’s thigh muscles started to tense, as did her rear end a bit...and the tingling got more intense. She bit her lower lip and whimpered just a little. The girl was fumbling for a box, trying to locate a blank keycard. Just then, another, older woman came out from a door behind the front desk, and said, “Oh my god!” upon seeing the naked blond standing there. Laura noticed a flash of movement to her right and saw a middle-aged couple coming into the lobby from the direction of where the elevators were. “She locked herself out...naked.” Said the first front desk girl to the second.“Oh sweetie...that has got to be so embarrassing! We’ll get you a new key...hold on.” Said the second one. “Oh god pleeeeeease hurry!” Laura pleaded. “We are out of blanks...can you run and get a new box?” said the first, younger of the two front desk workers to the second. “Can’t you just give her your master? Poor thing is naked and look at all these people around!” said the older one. Both women seemed a little frantic and genuinely interested in helping Laura. Laura took a quick look around and saw that in fact, more people were coming into the lobby. A man coming in the front doors who had just gotten out of a taxi, a pair of men in suits came out of the restaurant, and one of the cleaning women was now coming in from the other side of the lobby. “Could you just...” Laura started to say...”get...me....oh something...to... to cover... myself...... oh...god...please...I am so...so naked.” She spoke quickly and quietly, sooooo mortified that others were now watching her naked peril. She was careful not to make any eye contact with anyone other than the women who were now helping her. “Here...take this...it’s a master keycard. It will get you into your room. Just bring it down later, ok?” the younger one held the card out to her. “Quick...there’s more people coming in...” she said urgently, and nodded towards the front door. Laura reached out and grabbed the card. She spun around to head back to the stairs, lost her grip on the card, and it went flying across the lobby. “AAahhh!” Her whole body felt flush. She scampered after it, now covering just her bush with her left hand, her big bare breasts swaying and bouncing as she moved. It landed just in front of the guy who was coming in from the taxi. “Oh no...no no no...” Laura muttered as he stooped down and picked it up. He had a stunned look on his face that turned into a wide smile as he held the card out for her. “Um...you dropped something.” He said. Laura ran up to him and snatched the card. “thanks...” she said in a tiny voice, and then turned towards the stairs. “No...thank you!” he said. She noticed another group of 3 coming in to the lobby now, the ones that the front desk girl had indicated. Worse, another person was coming down the very steps Laura would need to climb. At this moment, she stood literally in the middle of the lobby. There were people on every side of her. At least a dozen pairs of eyes was now watching her every move, bounce and jiggle.'

Wet from the shower and wearing only nylons, a garter belt, and high heels, she wedges her heel in the door and reaches for the supplies. Her heel slips out and she has to make a run for the lobby. Some college age guys chase her down the stairs. She finds another short towel but it gets stuck in the lobby door:

150'With no other option but to leave the towel, Fran backed away from the door into the lobby. "Oh my God," was the sound that greeting Fran as she stopped dead in her tracks. Slowly turning, she saw to her horror a dozen people staring at her nude form. Quickly covering herself with her hands and arms, Fran smiled weakly. She could feel her face going flush with embarrassment. Exposed and helpless, Fran dashed up to the shocked girl at the front desk. "Uh, look this is really embarrassing, could I get the key to my room?", said a shaking and squirming Fran. Fran could hear giggles, whistles, and laughter as she stood nude in the lobby. The girl behind the counter started to ask her what room she was in when another voice said, "Ma'am is there a problem?" Turning around, Fran was horrified to see a Miami Policewoman standing behind her. Fran, almost bouncing with fear and red faced, tried to explain how she had locked herself out. The policewoman was nethier amused or sympathic to her perdiciment. Fran was charged on the spot with "Indecent Exposure". The helpless Fran's humilation was furthered when the officer cuffed her hands behind her, then marched her through the lobby to a waiting patrol car.'

Kat, who hates Debbie, gets layed off and and plans revenge with her friend Sharon. Debbie is a 'cute secretary, in her early thirties, tall, medium built with nice perky breasts, great legs, and shoulder length brown hair. She drove the guys in the office crazy.' Kat and Sharon get revenge during the office Christmas party. Kat confronts Debbie and Sharon in the women's restroom, pretending to be murderous and threatening to shoot Sharon unless Debbie strips to nothing but her red high heels and walks into the party:

161'“Oh my god. I can’t believe this. This can’t be happening”, she said to herself. Debbie took a deep breath, turned the latch, and pushed the door. She stepped out of the restroom and began walking toward the stage feeling the air on her naked body. Her nipples responded involuntarily and grew hard. As she stepped into the opening she noticed the shocked look on the faces of people in the crowd...familiar faces...faces of those she worked with every day. “Oh my god!” she heard familiar voices. “Debbie! What are you doing?!” “DEBBIE”S TOTALLY NAKED!” “WHERE ARE YOUR CLOTHES?!” “WHOA! I can’t believe THIS!” She didn’t stop. The crowd parted and she made her way toward the stage. People’s mouths dropped open. Some were smiling. Some were covering their mouths in disbelief. Debbie just forced herself to put one foot in front of the other. She was naked and humiliated in front of all these people. Now a new sound began to fill the air. People were cat-calling and whistling. She recognized
162many of the voices as people she worked with. The place began to roar with laughter and applause. She was naked in front of all these people, and they were all loving it. Thesecretary that all the office men had fantasized about was now walking around in front of them completely naked! She wasn’t covering anything. Everything was on display. It seemed like an eternity to get to the stage. “I’m doing this for Sharon”, she kept telling herself. When she reached the stage, she turned around. The crowd had followed her and was gathered around her. Her husband stood smiling and clapping along with the rest of them. This had always been a fantasy of his anyway. The room filled with flashes. Where did all the cameras come from? Many of her coworkers were taking one picture after another. Those without cameras had their cell phones out taking pictures with them. “How can I ever show my face again?” Debbie thought to herself. “Everyone is going to have naked pictures of me.” Her eyes filled with tears and the humiliation was more than she could take. She was careful not to try to cover herself. She knew that she had to be totally exposed in order to save Sharon. People were getting behind her to get pictures of her naked rear-end. Others were taking pictures of her naked breasts. The men loved the fact that she was wearing high heels...and nothing else. As Debbie began to walk back toward the ladies’ room, she froze. She couldn’t believe her eyes. There among her other coworkers was Sharon! She was laughing and taking pictures along with the rest of them. Kat stood behind her clapping and whistling! It then dawned on Debbie that she had been set up. She screamed and threw her arms around herself trying to cover her breasts. She ducked and headed for the ladies’ room. As she made her way through the crowd, someone smacked her naked behind. As she ran inside, she heard the sound of applause from the crowd behind her. The band broke out in “Red High Heels”, by Kellie Pickler. She looked around the restroom and confirmed what she already knew in her heart. Her clothes were gone. Lisa, another coworker came in trying not to smile. “Debbie, your husband is pulling the car around front for you. You ok?”'

As Debbie headed out the front door, she saw her car with her husband behind the wheel sitting in front of the restaurant. “I’m going to kill him for this,” she thought. She ran to the car with her cheering coworkers close behind her. She grabbed the handle to the car door. LOCKED! Her husband grinned at her. “UNLOCK THE DOOR!” Debbie screamed. She heard the click of the locks and cameras caught her bare bottom as she scurried inside the car. “Where’s my coat?” Debbie angrily asked her husband. “It’s in the trunk,” he answered with a smile. Neither of them said another word the rest of the ride home. Debbie sat blushing as she relived the humiliation of being naked in front of the staff. How would she return to work Monday? Her husband just drove and enjoyed the sights.'

173This story is inspired by Six Guns and Sex Appeal, but set in India. It's about Four 'well dressed' businesswomen (including 'Veena', see the next story 'Hotel Humiliation') who suffer a roadside robbery at the hands of a woman in a thong and a man in shorts. They are robbed of jewelry and then stripped naked, and the robbers make them perform: Hands on head, full nude bodies on display, bend over, slaps their rears, take their pictures. The robbers steal their car and strand them naked. They have to walk a couple miles to the police naked. A car drives by and they scatter to avoid being seen, but they're too slow and the driver gets a great view. As they crouch in the bushes a farmer approaches from behind and starles them. They eventually make it to the police station and report the incident to Superintendant Priya. Priya and her police force scramble to intercept the robbers, but because rules dictate the station needs to be locked, the four naked businesswomen are left naked outside. The police are ambushed by the robbers and forced to strip, and the ordeal is filmed. They are handcuffed with their own cuffs and forced to bend over and then spanked. Thus endeth Part 1. I don't have Part II.

180This story continues the adventures of 'Veena' an Indian (India in Asian subcontinent) lawyer stripped in a previous story. Veena is on a business trip to the U.S. an already in a bad mood because of a poorly fitting, too-small business suit that sometimes gave passersby a view of her thong. She decides to relax at a suana in her hotel, misses a sign saying it's under maintenance, and is forced to hide when two male workers pass through the sauna and take her clothes. She first decides to take an elevator, changes her mind and makes a run for the stairs, changes her mind again and tries the elevators. She luckily gets in an empty one and makes it safely to the lobby. According to the history on their website dfpproductions.com, they started making pin-up style photos in the 1980s and in 2008 started creating video productions. They claim to be 'the #1 company producing original ENF videos on the internet'. They make custom content (contact them at customs@dfpproductions.com). They also made one of my favorite ENF videos of all time, a 2011 video  featuring the gorgeous model Valya Smetrova - 'Red Handed, Red Faced' about a woman caught steeling money for breast implants, and blackmailed into ENF situations as a result. Just to let my imagination run wild, but improvements in this area like handling video capture, and handling many women simultaneously combined with virtual reality headsets means you could see, just as if it were real, a live action landscape of nude women composed of whoever is actually in front of you. Anyone who always wanted to work in an office full of nude women could do it. The lack of ENF reaction might turn off true ENF diehards, but software that could blend your favorite ENF clips into real landscapes would fix that. In 1956 she posed in a swimsuit for a Las Vegas casino mural painted by Philip Pavel and was 'publicly humiliated' when the revealed mural featured her naked. A slew of Chinese soldiers waiting at the base of the mountain are lined up on both sides of the road and 'Brit could feel their eyes following her buttcheeks billow upwards and downwards with every solitary movement'. She eventually gets a towel. Again, this story seems implausible but it is presented as fact.

The linked oneclickchicks forum also contains an interesting story posted by 'deanol': 'A certain nightclub in Birmingham ran a games night. As part of it they'd invite two girls up on stage for a competition. They'd take out two black bin liners, and explain to the girls that they'd make a head and arm holes in them for them to wear and cover themselves with, and they'd then have to get undressed as quickly as they could. First one to hand over all their underwear won a bottle of champagne. But to make it a bit trickier, they'd be blindfolded. So they put the blindfolds on the girls, and then handed them both... a clear plastic bin bag. I'm told this played a major part in said club getting shut down soon after...'

It's good theater (There's an all-too-brief introductory clip with Taylor, where someone off camera demonstrates the prank by pulling her dress off. It's more up-close than the other strippings, and after it happens Taylor bends one knee slightly, thrusts a hip to the side, and despite the pixelation you can see her hips to ripple wonderfully. A full-nude uncensored version of this would have been absolute ENF gold. Just to go off on a tangent here, if McSky's great ENF story 'Locked Out - a vignette' had been filmed with this actress, it would have been absolute perfection. A guy can dream...)

It's a judgement call but I'd say it looks like acting. She gets angry and starts going after the wrong guy. Another well known clip features a blond scrambling for cover when caught dancing naked by a room mate, and another features a reporter stripping off her skirt to avoid a bee sting. There was tumblr clip of a French woman aggressively pumping a dildo while behind a one-way mirror screen, apparently in a shop of some kind, who is interrupted by a man walking around the barrier. It has the ingredients of 'too good to be true' but her reaction is convincing and energetic - it could be real.

Some commentators pointed out that the woman's attempts to cover up are half hearted, and she sometimes appears to be smiling: it may have been a porn shoot mistaken for a real clip (others thought she might have been drunk). The Daily Mail condemned the supposed act in words, but by running numerous screenshots of the video and even hosted a censored clip (which they credit to LiveLeak, making it easy to trace uncensored versions), it only had the effect of further flaunting her nudity. Censored and uncensored version of the clip were widely re-uploaded. For the woman's sake I hope this is fake ENF, because the media attention introduced her naked body to a LOT of people.

Laurence was informed of the role by her agent, who described it straitforwardly as a non-sexual role involving acting with young boys, which required almost constant nudity. She was skeptical at first but had no other acting work at the time, so she agreed. The young male star of the film, 'Maxime' was eleven years old at the time of shooting, and had some acting experience. Laurence described him as 'just a lovely little boy' and 'talented'. As a practice run, Laurence and Maxime sat in her trailer, alone, while Laurence stripped naked so they could practice lines. Laurence said she had to do some 'psyching herself up' to strip, and Maxime's 'eyes were nearly popping out of his head' during the nearly half-hour first trial run, and after this he 'got over the staring at my pussy stage & we knew there'd be no more awkwardness about my nudity'. According to Laurence while there is only ten minutes of nudity in the film, shooting lasted more than two weeks and her nude scenes were shot over six to seven days. Laurence requested some up-close scenes be cut from the film because 'I thought a bit too much er, let's say, 'detail' of me was shown'. Another little boy, 'Louis', was not as professional as Maxime and his shots took several takes to cut out staring. Another boy, Charles-Henri, stared intently at her 'front-bits', made comments about her body between takes, and got 'a bit too close sometimes'. At one point during some running action, one of Laurence's breasts poked Maxime in the eye. Laurence said she would never do another film like that again, 'with little boys & a big film crew & a few local villagers watching, & I do regret doing the film now a little, as I was very embarrassed at having little boys see my front bits & breasts, etc., uncovered & in some takes I had to get a little too close to Maxime when naked for my comfort, but at least the boys got a good female anatomy lesson maybe.'

There are interesting questions to answer about this, like Is ENM\CFNM consumed mostly by women, that is, is it a mirror image of ENF for women, or is it mostly consumed by men with exhibitionist fantasies? This sketch focuses mainly on Anglo-American and European creations. There must be ENF literature to go along with the amazing ENF clips coming out of places like Japan and Latin America. A dedicated effort to translate ENF literature for different language communities would be exciting.
