3In the last decades, women have gained access in many activities where they cannot enter before. The army, or kinda works which were never “girl’s work”, or some kind of works where girls were always sort of excluded.

5So in most of cases, this was a good think, because of equality. The very point is that now this is becoming an obsession. Sure, If I do a club and the door shows “dogs and women aren’t allowed”, I am sort of insulting , and this is not good.

7But now imagine you have friends. And you like to bicycle. So you start going with them around. All man. Then you stop in a grassfield, and you say “let’s have a beer here”. So you waste some afternoon like that. Then other guys join, and you decide “why we don’t come here with tents and start doing this the whole weekend?”. And this happens: just one time per month we take our bikes, some bag with beers, tents, and we go camping somewere, usually ~50km from home, in some.

9It is not like the “ElefantenTreffen”, also because we bycicle, and not use bikes, but that’s it. I started to enjoy this “man’s place”, like a place where you can stay together like men are doing. Not that women aren’t able to stay together, but if you want a place where you have no privacy and you miss nothing, or a place where you can say everything, then that was the case. So our club kept running.

11Our wives were not complaining of that moment with no husband at home, so it was ok. Until we discussed of it together with friends, and a woman, friend of us, asked to join.

13Well… no. It was a man moment. We want to stay alone , only men. Because at home you share almost everything with your family, and others. So we needed some time with friends, drinking beer, talking of everything and so and so. It was our outpouring weekend.

15So we said “no ,thanks. Maybe one time, but not part of the club.” And here started the war. It was a harsh discussion with her, where she described us as we were old times nazists aiming at a woman with large hips to have babies with. (for people which doesn’t know, this was the Göbbel’s idea of german woman).

17She said “we are discriminating”. Well, no. There is plenty of places in Germany where to do bicycling and camping. If you want to do it, you can do it with your female friends. We can also join together, sometimes, but YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO INVADE ANY MAN’S SPACE.

19And this is the point. I agree a woman should not be emarginate: I fully agree I cannot call “a man only space” being an engineer or being a soldier. Fine. This is about opportunity.

22So I see sort of obsession coming from women. This obsession is “to be equal we must invade EACH and EVERY space which has the label “men only”.

If you don’t go crazy for some food, they usually understand you aren’t used, so maybe you try this other stuff, which they also prepared. So they don’t assume too much.
