The good thing is, it uses no redstone :) It's just iron bars. The drops are pushed against the wall by the redstone blocks at the first killing floor and can fall through the iron bars.

376There is a problem involving void wither cages, that use boats. After reloading the chunk, entities sometimes lose altitude. In case of the boat-version, that would mean, that the wither constantly loses altitude, until he's able to shoot skulls again. There is probably a work around, but I decided to use a boat less wither cage.

436In fact: it only works with birch. There's a chance that the leaf detetors wouldn't detect other trees, because of the different heights. Acacia, jungle, oak and spruce can grow 4 high. Birch grows at least 5 high. Also the offset of acacia trees could cause leaves to generate far away from the detectors. spruce trees can't grow in there, because they need an unobstructred 5x5 area. Only birch, oak, acacia, jungle isn't obstructed by other logs or dirt blocks. Even if it would work with jungle, it wouldn't return enough saplings.

1849edit: we had a few freak accidents with the machine. We're not entirely sure why it happens. A 2000 block test went fine, but in another location the machine failed. After fixing the machine it covered another 1000 blocks without incidents. it seems like the armor stands sometimes don't get properly saved, when they cross chunk borders. This probably is related to entities disappearing when crossing chunk borders. Mojang needs to fix something, before the machine works 100% instead of just 99.99%.
