2Blix (ambnz):Allooo
3Durk:Yo
4"Wizzz" (GM):ayo
5Blix (ambnz):So I guess we're going to see a lady-nathema about an oncoming orc invasion? With a previsit visit to the mine for some no-see-um assistance? That the plan everyone is thinking of?
6Object of Scorn:The gobbos are on the job
7"Wizzz" (GM):Alright, 8
8Due to your helpful assistance, Overly can assign a no-seeum to you for the trip. 6
9The invisibility will take the form of so long as you don't move (small movements like eyes or breathing don't count) you will be invisible.
10Blix (ambnz):Blix thanks Overly and asks this particular no-seeum what they would like to be called
11No See um: I am 'Hide But Can't Run'
12Blix:Blix compliments them on the name "Thank you for your assistance! Hopefully this will be fun and not too terribly dangerous..." (gobbos are along, is charles the dwarven fellow?)
13"Wizzz" (GM):He is
14there are several possible routes to the proposed meeting at Oresh manor
15Blix:Cool. Blix would like to bring silfie along, and I'll be wearing the feather cloak/winter clothing as opposed to the Glam getup. Aww is that Honk? F
16"Wizzz" (GM):yep
17One is a mountainous path that bypasses the estate and goes through the foothills of mt. Sandwide, or one could follow the shore of the reservoir lake through the estate until the manor is reached. Alternately a canoe could be taken across the reservoir lake to reach the manor in half the time, but with the recent appearance of the Cup Moon that's risky for several reasons.
18Charles P.:How long is the trip?
19Blix (ambnz):Yeah I'll wanna restock torches/rations
20"Wizzz" (GM):both land routes will be a day and a half, so you'll have to either camp somewhere sketchy or arrive tired.
21The water route is a half day
22Thirbaek Merrymace:will piggyback rides disable the invisibility?
23Let's follow the shore. Maybe we'll get to meet some of the ''exotic" creatures mentioned.
24@wizzarrgh, What's the range on Rikkhus trumpet? Can we leave all our weapons and armor in town?
25"Wizzz" (GM):you could, yes
26Thirbaek Merrymace:Nice. That way we don't have to bring any metal.
27"Wizzz" (GM):The ride part would disable the invisibility
28Blix (ambnz):Sure, that'll work. Handy spell for this kinda thing. Im find with camping if you all are
29Thirbaek Merrymace:Also... does "chosen" weapon mean "owned" weapon, or can I chose to be equipped with the weapon that an attacking pigman is holding. Bonus disarming affect.
30"Wizzz" (GM):Has to an owned weapon yeh
31Object of Scorn:Your own
32Personal
33Weapon
34"Wizzz" (GM):Alright, sticking to the most familiar route, you head through the gardens (perhaps chatting with hespy along the way past the clocktower in #tavern)
35Sticking to the shore of the reservoir lake...
36Blix (ambnz):Indeed
37Thirbaek Merrymace:Blix may want to bring her combat gear along, since you might get the opportunity to sneak around and assasinate piggies while me and Durk discuss handing over Xelor's stuff.
38Blix (ambnz):Yeah that'll work, Blix travels kinda light anyway. Money is back in town though for sure
39Thirbaek Merrymace doesn't carry any metal.
40"Wizzz" (GM):You pass the ruined castle itself, and come across an overgrown road that likely leads to Oresh Manor. Due to the increased water level of the area after the Cup Moon dumped water everywhere, the road is right up against the flooded banks of the lake.
41You have marched for 8 hours, and wouldn't mind camping, but first!
42Thirbaek Merrymace:(Perhaps we should also put Blix on the goat. That way if we get ambushed you can run away, and not get robbed for your cool magic weapon.)
43The light of the cup moon is weak here (it's not the brightest of moons to begin with, a thing of reflected starlight and shining waterfalls) and there are two things emerging from the dark lake.
44"Wizzz" (GM):Blix likely remembers them- the pitch black crystalline thing tottering along on squat legs, things like small snakes or tentacles writhing from it, and a serpentine sort of thing with crystalline scales protecting its back.
45Thirbaek Merrymace:(lol, I thought it was just a giant teacup with a face. Like cuphead)
46Object of Scorn:(LMAO)
47Blix (ambnz):Oh jeez, these things are tough
48"Wizzz" (GM):Both are the color of ink, pale starlight reflecting off them.
49Blix:"Careful, that ones already eaten two goblins"
50Thirbaek Merrymace:"Well, can we just keep away from them?"
51Object of Scorn:(I hate to be this guy, but how far does ventriloquism reach?)
52(I mean, how far away can I throw my voice with the spell)
53Thirbaek Merrymace:(You hate to ask questions about spells?)
54(Oh, and how big are they?)
55Object of Scorn:(Yeah, because I normally can just look it up, but I still haven't gotten my BFRPG book from the old houes)
56"Wizzz" (GM):60'
57Thirbaek Merrymace:"Perhaps they fear fire."
58"Wizzz" (GM):though I imagine that's just the origin, things 61 feet away would hear it ofc
59Thirbaek Merrymace pulls out a torch to light
60Object of Scorn:Yeah, is there a bush or a tree near-ish to them?
61"Wizzz" (GM):Yeah, there's smaller thornbushes of autumn that have been dead for weeks here
62there's also some swamped trees in the shallow edge of the flooded lake
63Object of Scorn:Alright, OoS casts his warped Ventriloquism spell that tacks on extra words to the end on a bush or tree near them and says in Elvish "Oh boy, it'd be a shame if someone were to eat me."
64"Wizzz" (GM):

71Thirbaek Merrymace:...
72"Wizzz" (GM):Do you remember how many words?
73Ah, it doesn't really matter I suppose
74Object of Scorn:I think you just came up with it on the spot and weren't very specific tbh, haha
75an addendum of 'because we'd be even more delicious with wine!' is added to the end of the vocalization. The two creatures backpedal into the water, not particularly quickly, and the crystalline lump one starts moving up and down, dull 'booms' coming from the lake when it lands, and the snakeish thing opens its mouth wide to hiss rhythmically as they point their bodies towards the offending bush.
76Thirbaek Merrymace:(It must be hella heavy.)
77"Wizzz" (GM):In addition to this strange behavior, the goblins will hear goblins cry out (in a posh elvish accent as opposed to your dialect) "Save us!" from the open maw of the serpentine dark thing.
78Thirbaek Merrymace:(lol)
79"Wizzz" (GM):Gpna continue with torch, or try to sneak around?
80Thirbaek Merrymace pauses when he hears the goblin noises
81Thirbaek Merrymace:"I don't care about some trapped goblins, personally, but if either of you want to rescue them, I'll be happy to assist."
82(Otherwise, It's time to go.)
83Object of Scorn:The gobbos do not care about the other gobbos either
84Blix:Sneak around
85"Wizzz" (GM):Discretion prevails, and you creep into the dry lands north, away from the lake and the things.
86It is quite chilly but not as bad as a few weeks ago, and your winter garb should protect you even while you're not warmed from exercise.
87As a campfire seems likely to draw unwanted attention, here.
88Any tents?
89And who will take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd watches for the night?
90Thirbaek Merrymace:No tent. I want the last watch, bc that's when the sun should traditianally rise.
91traditionally*
92"Wizzz" (GM):Very good show of faith. Then it is on your watch...
93Blix:I wouldn't mind 1st
94"Wizzz" (GM):A beast you know as a camel from Sahib Hanut, with laden saddlebags, has wandered up to your camp.
95Thirbaek Merrymace:Is it... Sahib's camel?
96"Wizzz" (GM):Nah, the bags aren't numerous or fancy enough. Maybe one of his merchant children's?
97Blix:"Uhm Hi, what're you doing out here???"
98Thirbaek Merrymace pets the camel.
99Blix:(wait I'm not awake lol)
100Thirbaek Merrymace wakes everyone up to [et the nice camel.
101Thirbaek Merrymace:pet*
102"Look guys, a friendly camel."
103Object of Scorn sniffs the camel
104The camel seems friendly enough. It does not deign to respond to Blix's query, but that's to be expected- animals rarely speak even when they know how.
105Thirbaek Merrymace:(It's probably laden with more loot than we've gotten in this entire campaign.)
106Object of Scorn:(Sorry I've been kind of inactive, thought I was going to have to dig some holes for a second, but I should be good to go from here on out)
107"Wizzz" (GM):(ayy)
108Thirbaek Merrymace:"We should turn around and take this to Sahib Hanut. It will surely be stolen if we bring it with us to meet the pig men."
109Blix:"A great idea!"
110Thirbaek Merrymace:"Another four days of travel, added to our trip."
111Thirbaek Merrymace sighs heavily, and begins to break camp
112"Wizzz" (GM):Counterpoint- You could send one of the two goblins (or I assume there were two, there usually are) on that busywork task
113Thirbaek Merrymace:(This is what hirelings are good for.)
114(You down to lose your hireling for a minute, Durk?)
115(Let's just assume that's a yes and retcon if not.)
116Blix:"Do. Not. Eat. This. Camel"
117"Wizzz" (GM):Not-Even-Worthy squints at Blix's admonishment and heads back to town.
118Object of Scorn:(Sorry, got pulled away to dig a tool out of the garage, but yeah that's fine)
119Thirbaek Merrymace:(Onward!)
120You break camp, and head back south to the edge of the lake, and soon come to the lakeside Oresh Manor... and the War-Camp around the place. Dozens of tuskmen squeal and snort around campfires, grilling fish that definitely aren't native to the region, and all the feeble autumn growth that managed to grow in this region has long since been fed to the fires
121Blix:"I'm quite nervous all of a sudden.."
122Thirbaek Merrymace:(Dozens of tuskmen, dozens of bandits. Noure is the only town without a real fighting force.)
123"Wizzz" (GM):The war camp is about the size of the hamlet, a town of tents. It seems their purported numbers of around a hundred were not exaggerated.
124Object of Scorn:(Who would win. Dozens of tuskmen or one blunderbussy boi...who threw himself on a fire)
125Thirbaek Merrymace:(Prolly Olaf.)
126(Y'all wanna keep Blix in stealth for a hidden suprise?)
127Blix:It's toughnwith the fairy we got but luckily blix is naturally p stealthy (won't be found as long as there's stuff to hide behind and people aren't like combing the area for them)
128(having to head out a bit early actually but will be back soon as I can, feel free to break or continue and hope for a Blix surprise at an opportune moment)
129Thirbaek Merrymace approaches the camp with his goblin buddy, and goat.
130"Wizzz" (GM):Soon enough, you are hailed by sentries, who send off for a captain for further orders.
131Just gonna wait for that? They're just keeping you at a safe distance, some slinger-pigs keeping an eye out for sudden movements.
132Thirbaek Merrymace:Yep. waiting around for the boss pig to show up.
133What's her name again?
134"Wizzz" (GM):Nathema
135Thirbaek Merrymace:Then hopefully we can get her alone and assasinate her.
136"Wizzz" (GM):Eventually a big pigman with a gleaming clockwork arm shows up to ask if you're here to negotiate with Lady Nathema at Grandfather's manor, and assuming you say yes, you will be escorted there.
137Object of Scorn sniffs the air and mutters "Bacon..." to himself in Elvish
138Thirbaek Merrymace:(Damn. I was hoping to get that before we left.)
139"Come along, steadysride."
140Staedystride*
141You reach the manor. There is a small dock, overgrown garden, and gardener shack outside, and two more big pigs serving as door guards.
142"Wizzz" (GM):The mansion is two stories tall and finely constructed, with actual glass windows looking in at curtains along the edge.
143Thirbaek Merrymace:"Wow. Fancy."
144Object of Scorn:(...aaaand as I feared I am now digging holes)
145Thirbaek Merrymace:(Oh dear. Our game has evaporated.)
146"Wizzz" (GM):ayup
147Object of Scorn:(i'll try to be back asap
148"Wizzz" (GM):meet you back here in an hour?
149Object of Scorn:Sure
150Thirbaek Merrymace:Cya.
151Durk:Back
152Didn't do much digging, more like tool fetching and cleaning up
153"Wizzz" (GM):that's how chores do
154Durk:I guess I'll just play some RDR
155And wait
156Tried to rob some guy out in the country, didn't go too well. Stopped to smoke a cigrit mostly because MUH ROLEPLAYING, but also because it has mechanical benefits in the game, and then another person came down the road...shot him...and then another...and another
1577 bodies at that intersection now, haha
158The whole collection of mechanics around crime are pretty cool even if they are a little bit superficial
159Some strangers are cowardly and won't report crimes if you talk mean to them
160Durk:Others try to shoot you if you get mouthy
161"Wizzz" (GM):if you shoot 7 at a crossroads and there are no survivors, will anyone ever know?
162Durk:Naw, I cleared out and it's pretty much done and done as far as the game's concerned
163In a AAA vidya game with GRAPHIX that's about as much as I expect
164That's just the way they work
165They pump out a game and then update it sparsely
166Maybe add DLC
167It's not like Dwarf Fortress where it's in development for an eternity and keeps getting major components added
168"Wizzz" (GM):Speaking of, I have a military squad of two people bitten by weredeer I keep trying to kill off on suicide missions but they keep coming back
169one day they're gonna turn into werebeasts upon arrival and it's gon be fun
170Durk:Lmao weredeer
171I can totally imagine hearing that weird snort hiss they do sometimes when you sneak up on them and then getting ripped to shreds
172"Wizzz" (GM):They were infected by a migrant from a past fortress who I had renamed to Deer Slayer
173I thought that meant they had killed a deer, but no, they were the deer
174so much for leaving handy notes for myself...
175Durk:Even though deer are pretty cowardly I always puckered a little bit when I used to live in the country and I accidentally snuck up on one
176Because they can totally mess you up, they just very rarely attack
177When I lived out there I saw lots of deer, racoons, and opossums.
178Like, daily
179Wild rabbits, too
180And a coyote one time
181Durk:Never any foxes, but they were around for sure
182There was also a frickin' BEAR spotted in the area.
183Just a black bear, but still
184Their range is slowly expanding I guess
185They're venturing out further and further looking for hooman trash to eat
186"Wizzz" (GM):yeh, deer kill...
1873 people- is everyone back?
188Blix:Omw home, almost there
189AaaAnd car is dead have to jump it don't know how long I'll be :/
190"Wizzz" (GM):and so the curse of two returns to another campaign
191Blix (ambnz):And car is FIXED
192So uh, b, sorry bout that
193Durk:HERE WE GO
194"Wizzz" (GM):I like how charles dropped the instant you said that lmao
195Durk:I just got ambushed by bounty hunters while trying to rob somebody in RDR
196:(
197Blix (ambnz):Boo
198Durk:I started over and I've been playing like a sadistic fuck, lmao
199My honor was high on my last playthrough
200I'm not even through chapter 2 yet and I already have max negative honor
201Charles P.:So, tell me about this mansion.
202"Wizzz" (GM):You reach the manor. There is a small dock, overgrown garden, and gardener shack outside, and two more big pigs serving as door guards.
203"Wizzz" (GM):The mansion is two stories tall and finely constructed, with actual glass windows looking in at curtains along the edge.
204Charles P.:Wait... Was my ghosting noticed after all? I just now saw the new dialogue.
205Exits?
206Blix (ambnz):We reach the mansions, if possible blix is following from the shadows and repeated use of hide butcant rub
207Charles P.:Number and size of windows?
208"Wizzz" (GM):5 on this side, 2 upstairs, 3 downstairs.
209You could hop through them, though you are currently being hustled along to the front door.
210There's a door to a cellar or pit off to the side of the stairs.
211Charles P.:Ooooh
212Charles P. acts cool
213Thirbaek Merrymace does as well
214"Wizzz" (GM):Some of the door guards look suspiciously at where Blix was before they stopped moving and went invisible, but in the end they go inside with Thirbaek and OoS, and the clockwork-armed fellow makes to return to the camp. Blix is outside currently.
215Blix, any actions before clockwork-arm here returns, or will you wait for them to skedaddle before anything else?
216Blix (ambnz):Wait the orc queueing them has a Clockwork arm? Is it the fellow who mugged me? Action wise, waiting till the guy skeddadles I think unless I spot anything worth pickpocketing sticking out or something
217Thirbaek Merrymace:If clockwork arm the pig isn't sticking around, then they're either not going to murder us, or Nathema is an absurd badass, who needn't fear a single dwarf and his goat.
218"Wizzz" (GM):The goat is remaining outside, btw
219Thirbaek Merrymace:No way!
220I don't want him eaten or anything.
221Tuskman Doorguard: No animals inside!
222Blix:(Oh the irony)
223Thirbaek Merrymace:"Hahaha!"
224Object of Scorn ponders the statement for a moment
225Thirbaek Merrymace:"He's shan't shit on your floors, and I won't leave him unattended."
226"The last thing I want is him going into a stew."
227Tuskman Doorguard: If he do, he'll be stew!
228"Wizzz" (GM):ey, ritehere
229Thirbaek Merrymace:"Then perhaps Nathema can meet us outside?"
230(Btw. Even mounted, am I taller than these pig men?)
231"Wizzz" (GM):Yeah, it's a big goat
232Perhaps Erhard De VEnd is with you as well
233Adding a little human legitimacy to the idea that a dwarf and goblin are here to negotiate for a human hamlet
234Blix:Lol
235Ritehere:as legitimate as can be!
236One of the door guards holds up his hands in exasperation, but the other one grunts something quietly, and they wave you all and the goat through (save blix, who is outside)
237Thirbaek Merrymace wipes the goats hooves, on the way in
238Thirbaek Merrymace:(With my magnificent robes.)
239(Hi, ritehere!)
240Blix:(just shout kuzoo if it all goes south)
241"Wizzz" (GM):Inside Oresh Manor, escorted by the two burly pigmen, you see a fine foyer, with white marble pillars and a red carpet.
242Thirbaek Merrymace:(Who's your PC again?)
243(Wow. This place is way to nice to bring a goat.)
244"Wizzz" (GM):A fabulous crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling, as well as some coats hanging from a coatrack, where you are invited to leave your winter garb
245Blix:(#of guards? Just the two?)
246Thirbaek Merrymace:"My gods, I've necer seen this much carpet in my life."
247"Wizzz" (GM):You are invited to wait in a sitting room with one door guard while the other goes to speak with those further inside the manor.
248Object of Scorn puts his coat up on the rack
249"Wizzz" (GM):The sitting room has 4 leather couches of pinkish coloration, a small fountain of sparkling water with glass cups (valuable!) next to it.
250A small coffee table with a lace doily has some sort of book, presumably for entertainment for waiting guests.
251Thirbaek Merrymace:(Finaly. Some actual loot. Way overguarded, but it's loot.)
252Object of Scorn slurps from the fountain like some sort of deranged animal
253"Wizzz" (GM):Delicious and fresh!
254Object of Scorn:"Hmm
255"Me stay here."
256"Wizzz" (GM):One of the pigman sneers (an impressive display with their snout) at the goblin's crude manners...
257Object of Scorn:"Yes, yes..."
258"Wizzz" (GM):Incidentally, the pigs are no too well represented by the tokens- they wear neat butler suits.
259Thirbaek Merrymace:(What's Blix up to?)
260Blix:(casing the joint I imagine, looking for alternate entrances/exits and the like)
261"Wizzz" (GM):There are certainly the windows, though they are closed, the curtains drawn, against the cold
262Thirbaek Merrymace:(Check out that cellar, maybe.)
263(Oh, the windows open?)
264"Wizzz" (GM):They may be locked against the cold, but if nothing else the glass could be shattered.
265Erhard De Vend:say goblin fellow... mind filling me in on what's going on?
266Blix:Yea I may go see the cellar mentioned
267Thirbaek Merrymace:(We're here to give a pig person permision to invade castle Noure. It's probably a trap, and we're hoping to assasinate her.)
268"Wizzz" (GM):A quick investigation of what is below the 'cellar door' makes u believe it is a garbage dump- foul odors and dimly seen sloshing water and assorted garbage is below, as well as, inexplicably, what looks like a small, legless table with dolls and chipped teacups set up on it.
269Thirbaek Merrymace:(...?)
270Blix:Wth
271"Wizzz" (GM):The drop is quite far down, in any case- without a rope or incredible climbing skills, you wouldn't be getting back up if you climbed down.
272Erhard De Vend:ah... I'll try not to meddle in the politics of this situation but I do offer my unique services if needed.
273Thirbaek Merrymace:(Oh yeah, what're those?)
274"Wizzz" (GM):That'll do it for Blix, anything else besides getting Erhard up to speed?
275Thirbaek Merrymace is waiting
276Erhard De Vend:I can make objects into others but only for a short time my friend. even altar someones body if need be. Results may very and there are no refunds.
277"Wizzz" (GM):Alright, the goblin Object of Scorn is now well-hydrated, and the other tuskman has returned. You may proceed unaccompanied to the door at the far end of the foyer, they will be returning to mind the door.
278Object of Scorn:(Hmm, did they take our weapons/
279Thirbaek Merrymace:(Oh, are you a sorceror?)
280(We didn't bring weapons)
281Object of Scorn:(Yeah, you know what, let's just go with that)
282(I was gonna do the whole mouse in the pocket joke and say I have a dagger, but nah)
283Erhard De Vend:something of the sorts, my father was a spellcrafter by profession and I took up his work after his passing.
284Thirbaek Merrymace:(So.... You're a wizard with an alter spell?)
285Erhard De Vend:It'd be easier to explain if I just showed you
286Blix:(Knew I should've taken that climbing skill lol. )(Sorry for the DC)
287Failed attempts at finding appropriate portraits aside, you have entered a feasting hall.
288Erhard De Vend grabs on of the glass cups

294This cantrip may change a small object (up
295to 27 cubic inches) into another shape, size, color, or
296texture. Radical changes (such as creating small living
297things) are not apt to last more than one turn, but minor
298changes (such as coloring a head of hair bright pink) may
299stay as long as a month. "Related" changes, such as
300creating a baby hedgehog from a pincushion) may last
301longer than non-relate
302"Wizzz" (GM):A dozen pigs gobble strange foods at a table, chiselling at what look like stalagmites with actual chisels or slurping soups.
303Thirbaek Merrymace:(You have a cantrip!?)
304Ritehere:what should I roll to make the glass cup a glass knife
305"Wizzz" (GM):An enormously fat, basically spherical, pigman of aged appearance lies bloatedly at one head of the table, and a rather disgusted looking pig-woman in the garb of an officer
306nothing, you'd just cast the spell
307Ritehere:oh I see
308Erhard De Vend warps the shape of the glass cup into a glass knife and sets it back on the table
309Erhard De Vend:see easier to show than explain!
310Hugely Fat Pigman: Oho! Our guests bring magical entertainment, and a goat. Isn't that nice, Lady Nathema?
311Disgusted But Well Dressed Pig Woman: ... As you say, grandfather Oresh.
312Erhard De Vend:aha I can do plenty of parlor tricks if you like
313Object of Scorn gibbers and bows as he enters and begins wringing his hands
314Some blobby puddings begin wobbling around the table, escaping their silver soup tureens in an apparent bid for escape
315Lady Nathema: Are you the envoy from the hamlet?
316Thirbaek Merrymace:(As embarassing a troop as we are.)
317"We speak for the hamlet."
318"Are you lady Nathema?"
319The pig-woman nods.
320Thirbaek Merrymace:"Well met. I am Thirbeak, this is Erhard and that is a Grosslington."
321"There's a village of them in Noure Castle, so I thought his pressence appropriate."
322Erhard De Vend bows slowly
323Lady Nathema: I see. Well, my terms are simple- conflict may be avoided if the castle and the frivolous gardens are ceded to us, to use as we see fit for farming, hunting, and so on.
324Blix:(honestly p reasonable)
325Thirbaek Merrymace:"On the surface, that seems like no problem."
326"The people of the Hamlet won't fight over the Estate."
327Lady Nathema: Good. They'll die if they do.
328Thirbaek Merrymace:"Some, yes."
329"There are more details, though."
330Lady Nathema: Then state them.
331Thirbaek Merrymace:"The castle and it's surrounding lands are currently not under the control of the Hamlet. They have been taken over by a doll, who posseses a strong fighting force."
332Lady Nathema: We are somewhat aware of the various monstrosities Lord Noure invited into our lands, yes. Naturally, all lingering threats of the estate will be dealt with.
333A pudding flops across the table towards you all, uncaptured by the various feasting pig-people
334Thirbaek Merrymace:"The people of the hamlet would be greatful if someone were to handle the situation."
335"Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you have enough power to do that."
336Object of Scorn:"Me think little beard man underestimate pig folk...
337Lady Nathema: If you wish for our aid with specific horrors, the hamlet will be able to hire our troops as mercenaries for food and metal. She pauses, remembering something And our imprisoned fellow men will be released, naturally
338Thirbaek Merrymace:"Naturally."
339"The specific monstrosities that need to be dealt with are the clockwork automata that linger on the estate."
340Lady Nathema: So be it. Tell the hamlet I do not want to see your people on our land from now on.
341Thirbaek Merrymace:"Until they have been dealt with, myself and any other members of the hamlet will need free and unimpeded passage on the estate."
342She frowns.
343Lady Nathema: Why?
344The pudding leaps!
345Thirbaek Merrymace:"We have a strong desire to see them destroyed."
346"Wizzz" (GM):2
347Scorn, you are being menaced by a pudding. The fat old pig chortles heartily at this.
348Thirbaek Merrymace:"We wish to continue to work towards that goal."
349Object of Scorn swats at the pudding
350Thirbaek Merrymace:"As I said. I don't think you will manage it."
351Lady Nathema: Sounds like dwarf tight-fistedness over clockwork. Your Mercian laws have no clout here.
352"Wizzz" (GM):The pudding is stricken to the ground, but quiceringly begins to reassemble itself.
353Object of Scorn:in between swatting at the pudding "We...give...pig...land...we no need."
354Fat Ol Grandfather Oresh: In Elvish Better eat it, ho ho!
355Object of Scorn is surprised at the elven tongue being spoken
356Object of Scorn:"Not such a bad idea, you know" In Elvish
357Thirbaek Merrymace:"If you can destroy the occupying forces, you are welcome to the land and the clockwork."
358"Until then, we must continue our own efforts."
359Erhard De Vend ponders what they are saying in elvish, amused by how well they speak it!
360Object of Scorn:In Elvish, addressing the grandfather "The bearded one is being difficult. I apologize."
361Lady Nathema: The land is already ours, save for the weather, and if you have not destroyed these threats in the years and years you have been treading those grounds, I have no hope you will accomplish this now. Trespassers will not be looked upon kindly.
362Thirbaek Merrymace:"Conflict would benefit no one. Alliance would be even better, should you find a need for assistance."
363Fat Ol Grandfather Oresh: In Elvish So it goes, a shame we can't all get along.
364In Elvish Until then...
365In COmmon Pudding!
366Lady Nathema: Conflict would not benefit YOU. If your hamlet is so concerned about a few tottering scarecrows, I do not find wheedling over some metal scraps worthwhile.
367Thirbaek Merrymace:"If you cannot allow us passage within the territory, we will be forced to support the Lord Noure in his efforts to retake his lands."
368(A lot less assasination and trap springing than I anticipated.)
369Blix (ambnz):(sound of gauntlet being thrown)
370Lady Nathema: derisive snort Then you will all perish for a few grinding gears. I hope it's worth it for you. Grandfather, I am retiring for now.
371Object of Scorn:In Elvish "I don't know what this 'we' nonsense he is going on about..."
372She satnds and takes her leave through the door across the dining room.
373Thirbaek Merrymace:(The goblin town won't exactly be tolerated, I reckon.)
374Fat Ol Grandfather Oresh: And now... sit, and feast!
375Thirbaek Merrymace:(Also yeah, I have no idea what a random goblin is doin here either.)
376Object of Scorn:(Not like OoS cares. He's like an especially nasty goblin that even other goblins aren't a fan of.)
377Thirbaek Merrymace:"Really? I expected to get thrown out!"
378Fat Ol Grandfather Oresh: Jellied fish spine juice! Puddings! Piercer- take a chisel for them.
379Ho ho! All are welcome in my house, at least!
380Thirbaek Merrymace:"Thank you! Let me go put my goat outside, and I'll be right back."
381Fat Ol Grandfather Oresh: No need, the goat can eat pudding!
382And indeed, the goat is going after the splattered pudding.
383Blix:(heh. Blix is still waiting anxiously, did I see there was a shack of some sort on the map? Maybe they'd have gone to see that)
384Thirbaek Merrymace:"So he can... Well then, I need to use the privy!"
385Fat Ol Grandfather Oresh: My imp shall guide you!
386Blix:(the watnow)
387Object of Scorn takes some pudding and squats on the floor and eats it
388Thirbaek Merrymace:"I just thought it rude to say, so excused myself with the goat."
389(I'm tryna sneak you in, btw.)
390He gestures and a small creature, humanoid but spindly and batwinged, flies out, and gloomily flies near the door Lady Nathema exited from "This way..."
391"Wizzz" (GM):in the shack, blix finds
392Thirbaek Merrymace follows the imp
393"Wizzz" (GM):This shack contains fishing equipment. Bolted to the wall is a three-eyed shark, imperfectly taxidermied. Its gruesome mouth holds 12 fishing hooks, each worth 10g. Other items of interest:• 2 fishing poles, hung on the wall.• Fishing net, hung on the wall.• Blood-soaked table that reeks of fish guts.• Box with 2 empty vials and 2 vials full of stinking black liquid. • Galoshes
394There's a large room with a big sweeping staircase up to the second floor. The imp leads you to the first exit on the right, the bathroom.
395Thirbaek Merrymace:(Indoor restrooms!?)
396Blix:(holy shit best believe I'm taking those fish hooks)
397"Wizzz" (GM):The bathroom is a stone bench that would require 2 people, or one 18str person, to lift, should you wish to escape into whatever sewers are below.
398Object of Scorn:(Indoor restrooms. Oh boy. So fancy I'm gonna need a second monocole)
399"Wizzz" (GM):A goblin could fit through without having to lift the stone.
400Thirbaek Merrymace:(I have no desire to flee into the poop hole.)
401"Wizzz" (GM):I just recalled it was the prime strateg in a prior castle, so...
402Thirbaek Merrymace goes and eats
403Object of Scorn:(inb4 the food is poisoned and we all die horribly)
404Erhard De Vend eyes the food nervously
405Blix:(no current* desire to flee through the poop hole)
406Thirbaek Merrymace:(I was trying to find an excuse to go outside, and let Blix in, but no such luck.)
407"Wizzz" (GM):Alright, you feast at the table. The food is weird, but tasty enough (though woefully lacking in spices)
408Do you try the wine, or do you wish to remain in full control of yourself
409Object of Scorn tries the wine
410Thirbaek Merrymace:I def try the wine.
411Thirbaek Merrymace makes conversation with Oresh
412"Wizzz" (GM):+1 drunkenness, which gives an expanded critical fail/critical success range. After you reach your con bonus, further drinks require saves vs poison or blacking out...
413Thirbaek Merrymace:(I have no con bonus...)
414"Wizzz" (GM):then further drinks require dem rolls
415Object of Scorn:(uhh. I have negative con bonus, lmao)
416Erhard De Vend touches the food and it warps into a hot cherry pie... though I doubt it taste like it...
417"Wizzz" (GM):roll one right now anyway, you lightweight!
418Object of Scorn:16
419Thirbaek Merrymace makes conversation with Oresh
420"Wizzz" (GM):the goblin avoids drinking himself under the table...
421Oresh is a jolly old guy concerned only that everyone have a good time. Anything particular you want to ask about?
422Yeah, I think you could do taste or shape Erhard, but not both
423So it's a cherry pie that tastes like fish jelly
424Thirbaek Merrymace:Welllll.... Did he make a contract with a demon to become a pigman or...?
425(Then it's time to go, because this has been a big flop, as far as getting anything done.)
426"Wizzz" (GM):Nah, he's a Biomancer of some skill. When the famine hit oh, 15 years into the whole Lord Noure disaster, he turned people into pigmen so they could engage in cannibalism without becoming ghouls.
427For some people it was too late, of course. Very tragic.
428Thirbaek Merrymace:"Oh neat. Could you place a child inside of a woman unable to bear children?"
429Erhard De Vend:I think I'll have a sip of wine after hearing that
430Blix:(there's more than one way to uh....get pregnant I guess????? XDD)
431Grandfather Oresh: Well, sure! So could you, I expect, with appropriate tools.
432Thirbaek Merrymace:"Awesome. And could you also produce a child from a single person, without the child needing a mother?"
433Grandfather Oresh: Parthenogenesis, indeed!
434I once consulted with Lord Noure on similar subjectss, but then he went his way, and I mine...
435Thirbaek Merrymace:"You're the bomb. Let me tell you a story..."
436Thirbaek Merrymace tells Lord Noure the story of Blix and Jearia
437Grandfather Oresh: Ah, Alves...
438Blix:(lolololol)
439Thirbaek Merrymace:Oresh*
440Grandfather Oresh: Alves are... different. One could presumably induce a parasitic pregnancy if the Alf did not take steps to avoid it...
441Erhard De Vend downs two glasses after sitting in on this story amazed by the things he's hearing
442"Wizzz" (GM):You better roll, Erhard...

448Grandfather Oresh: But the SOUL aspect of creating new life is quite barred from them.
449That's why they're all such dirty child-stealers!
450Thirbaek Merrymace:"How do you mean?"
451Grandfather Oresh: Two souls desiring to make a new soul can, and then a body creates a new body.
452Thirbaek Merrymace:"But you can make it happen with just the one, no?"
453Grandfather Oresh: Alf souls though.. well they're all rotten to the core, aren't they? There's no will to create NEW life, only to dominate and control what already exists.
454But yes, an Alf could hypothetically bear an artificially implanted homunculous. I'd rather just use a glass jar though.
455He shakes his head, fat jowls jiggling.
456Blix:(GLASS JAR YOU SAY)
457Thirbaek Merrymace:"It's about the experience, y'know?"
458"But tell me about this glass jar?"
459"Actually. I have someone I need to grab."
460Grandfather Oresh: Well, on the estate-
461Thirbaek Merrymace goes outside and shouts for Blix
462"Wizzz" (GM):Oresh raises a hand to stop you from leaving.
463Blix:(I'm not coming in cause the sword will probs start screaming with all the pigmen round)
464Thirbaek Merrymace:"Eh?"
465Blix:(unless you want me to go all assassinaty)
466Grandfather Oresh: No need! I'll send my imp to fetch them! Sit down, and let us continue!
467Thirbaek Merrymace:(It didn't scream when we walked through a village. I figured it only did that when you drew it.)
468Blix:Oh yea
469Sure then
470"Wizzz" (GM):Gonna humor the old pig and delegate to Oresh's imp, then?
471You can tell him Blix's name and the Imp will go shouting for 'em
472Thirbaek Merrymace:"No, we had an invisible person with us, as insurance in case we were killed. They won't reveal themselves for anyone they don't know."
473Grandfather Oresh: I see, I see... well, by all means go shout from the door then,
474Thirbaek Merrymace:"Blix! The girl I told you about."
475(There's no little piggies in here, right?)
476"Wizzz" (GM):Thirbaek shouting from the door alerts Blix, etc etc
477the ones at the table are little piggies, yeah
47812 of em
479Nathema was a big pig, as are the door guards/butlers
480Blix:Indeed, Blix will make sure to steady themselves etc
481"Wizzz" (GM):And Oresh is the biggest piggest
482Thirbaek Merrymace:(Oh dear. Wasn't the one who saw blic use the pig sticker a little piggy?)
483"Wizzz" (GM):indeed
484Blix:Yup
485Object of Scorn is continuing to eat
486Thirbaek Merrymace:(Well then. I sure hope he ain't here.)
487Object of Scorn he even goes for another swig of wine 13
488"Wizzz" (GM):Aight, blix into the feast then
489Object of Scorn:Uh oh
490"Wizzz" (GM):roll me a 1d400 OoS
491Object of Scorn:311
492Blix:"Surprised the negotiations went how they did..."
493"Wizzz" (GM):Your belly squirms, and you feel a new muscle or something you can flex- you can shut off your sense of pain and touch at will.
494Guess there was something funny about the wine after all... then again, maybe it was all the OTHER food you've been gobbling too
495Thirbaek Merrymace:(Neat.)
496"Wizzz" (GM):Alright, you're all varying degrees of stuffed and/or tipsy (blix may be too traumatized by the sight of ambulatory puddings to eat anything tbh)
497Oresh suggests you retire for the rest of the day and spend the night in the guest rooms above (though you are welcome to continue feasting and talking to him)
498Blix:Blix will do their best to introduce themselves to everyone (yea no pudding) and will keenly listen to Oresh's tales
499Thirbaek Merrymace:(The main question is "Can this guy hook Blix up with a firstborn?")
500"Wizzz" (GM):He definitely could, though he'll need some blood.

516Erhard De Vend:b-by the gods...
517"Wizzz" (GM):Building up pressure like that can repeat the effect, inflating them and making yuo look like an elf caricature
518Oresh laughs heartily at that one...
519Thirbaek Merrymace:(So... Yeah. You getting that babyinajar, or what?)
520Blix:"Indeed, I hear you are a biomancer of some repute. I would ask what you would like in trade for a service of this.. homunculus, as mentioned. I also would thank you for your most generous hospitality already. Are there any gifts you or even your granddaughter might enjoy? I would see the parties end in cooperation rather than hostilities"
521Thirbaek Merrymace:"Nathema has made it clear there will be conflict."
522"Wizzz" (GM):He sighs. "Never mind a price, I'll do it for fun!"
523Oresh: Only if you set foot on the estate, Thirbaek!
524Blix:Blood it is
525Thirbaek Merrymace:"And we must."
526Oresh: It's a shame she's so... uncompromising, but she seems clear.
527This doll... know you anything else about it?
528The clockwork marvels your fellow craftsmen created are intriguing, but ultimately, fragile.
529Thirbaek Merrymace:"She has a magical device to scry anything from any distance, the gardeners are fearsome, but she also is able to field much more monstrous machinations, and she has the ability to manufacture new clockwork troops as needed."
530Blix:"It goes by a name 'Kind-as-night'. It has on a leash some sort of... Darkness. The sort that downed the Alves. "
531Thirbaek Merrymace:(Ah shit. You're not supposed to say the name.)
532Blix:(???)
533Oresh: Interesting. I have made a study of that primordial darkness myself.
534Thirbaek Merrymace:(If you say the name she scries you. That's what the clocktopus on the moon said.)
535Blix:(then Blix flips it off)
536Thirbaek Merrymace:(Flips it off?)
537Oresh: Trinkets and baubles Lord Noure squandered his fortune upon... but I would not worry. My fellow pigs lived in conflict with that dread dragon Princess Taker, and those who rejected my blessing, for years. I am sure they will endure even without your help.
538Very Droll
539Blix:"Oh, want to hear how we killed Princess Taker?"
540Thirbaek Merrymace:"They certainly will. I'm not worried about who takes control over the estate. It is merely that we wish continued access."
541"It will be a shame, if we are enemies tommorow, but at least that is not the case tonight."
542Oresh: Perhaps another day, Blix...
543Thirbaek Merrymace:"How long will the firstborn take?"
544Oresh: Oh, it's hard to say, but no more than amonth I expect.
545I could turn YOU into a tuskman- then Lady Nathema could not object to your trespass!
546Thirbaek Merrymace:"Absolutely terrific."
547"This gives us an excuse to release our prisoners!"
548Oresh: But such a decision should be slept on, of course! Imp! Show the guests to the guest room!
549Thirbaek Merrymace:"We would probably have had to keep them indefinitely, otherwise."
550(Y'all want to sleep here?)
551(Well, they're wasted so... Let's sleep here!)
552Object of Scorn:(Yee)
553Thirbaek Merrymace will take last watch
554Blix:Honestly blix would rather risk a sketch camp but they aren't leaving without u drunks
555Erhard De Vend:I won't object to a cozy bed
556"Wizzz" (GM):The imp leads you up the stairs, and Blix probly tucks 'u drunks' into said cozy bed
557Blix:Blix asks the imps name
558"Wizzz" (GM):The imp is known as Pazu. He seems a terrible grump.
559Thirbaek Merrymace:Soooo... ? Assasination attempt?
560Blix:"Nice to meet you Pazu" Blix won't push it though
561Thirbaek Merrymace is sleeping with his goat, btw.
562Thirbaek Merrymace:(We should def have watches, too)
563Blix:Blix will however wait until after hours to sneaky sneaky round the mansion with the noseeum and silfie
564Oh and I did get those fishhooks right?
565"Wizzz" (GM):Yup
566They're gold
567Erhard De Vend:humm... like I said I won't muddle in the politics but if you're planning an assassination maybe I could muster you up a shabby weapon of sorts.
568"Wizzz" (GM):in this room for potential materials are
569Thirbaek Merrymace:(I'm not. I'm expecting an assasination attempt on us.)
570(Or some such.)
571"Wizzz" (GM):Bed, nightstand, empty chest, unlit oil lamp.
572Blix:(blix is clearly armed but thanks you for the effort and will wait and see what you can do)
573Thirbaek Merrymace:( If we have a nice dinner and get shown out wth no intruigue I'll be greatly upset.)
574Blix:(well Blix is gonna peakypeaky and the fishhooks are actually a real good haul+homonculus stuff)
575"Wizzz" (GM):Well, no assassination attempt on you occurs, though you can hear Pazu right outside the door muttering obscenities about Oresh and butter
576Blix:Oh nv mind
577Hmm
578Butter?
579"Wizzz" (GM):Any other sneaky sneaky attempts?
580Thirbaek Merrymace talks with the imp
581"Wizzz" (GM):Stuff like 'I swear if I ever see butter again..."
582Blix:(WTH)
583"Wizzz" (GM):Stuff like 'Gonna shove it right up the fat bastards arse... no... his nose!"
584Thirbaek Merrymace:"If you don't like your boss, why not quit?"
585Imp: Deals a deal. You need the bathroom?
586Thirbaek Merrymace:"Yes."
587"Wizzz" (GM):The imp will lead Thirbaek to the bathroom.
588Thirbaek Merrymace:"He made a deal with your diety? Or are you a free demon?"
589(Doors unguarded, Blix ;)
590Blix:(yeah I'll sneaks)
591Imp: My deities been dead for ages... and free I ain't. A deal's a deal...
592"Wizzz" (GM):ANywhere you wanna sneak to in particular, Blix?
593Thirbaek Merrymace:"Oh, who was it?"
594Imp: Unnum Alqui'i... you wouldn't know 'em.
595Blix:Anyplace we haven't seen for layout purposes, trying to get a handle on bedrooms and such
596Thirbaek Merrymace:"No, I've never heard the name."
597"I serve Rhikkhus, myself."
598"Wizzz" (GM):Aight, upstairs is just 4 rooms- the one next to you is unlabelled, but across the doors are labelled- one with flowing, grandiose script reading Oresh, and the other a more sedate but beautifully carved 'Kelago'
599Pazu: Riikhus? Ha, and they said dwarves ent got no sense of humor...
600Thirbaek Merrymace:"Well. Death isn't so permanent, these days."
601Blix:Hmm, downstairs then I guess, quietly
602Thirbaek Merrymace:"Tell me about Alqui'i. He must have have had something in common with Rhikkhus, for you to honor your agreement with Oresh so strongly."
603"Wizzz" (GM):Alright, there are 3 exits you can investigate using the stairs as cover
604as pazu is near the bathroom
605One smells like the kitchen
606We can call the other two 16 and 17 re the map
607Blix:Let's see 16
608"Wizzz" (GM):This door is locked. The lock to this door has a spider motif.
609Got any lockpicking skills, a desire to kick the door down noisily, or move on?
610Or D) Other
611Blix:(brb)
612Thirbaek Merrymace:(Welp. I'm perfectly happy to RP distracting the imp, bc I really am interested in learning about his contract, diety, and person.)
613(I want a pet imp too.)
614Pazu: Nah, that's just a way of keeping myself in the world instead of sinking into the Spiritscape... or, you call it Dreamlands now? Afterlife? Ah whatever...
615Shoulda gone with the sinking, honestly. Butter...
616Thirbaek Merrymace:"Oh. I see. So you made a contract with him? How does that work?"
617"He has ways of keeping you around, because he's a wizard, isn't it?"
618Pazu: Just like any contract I suppose. We didn't make ours open ended though and now we're stuck with each other. Sometimes airtight is too tight..
619Thirbaek Merrymace:"He's immortal too, isn't he."
620"That's rough, you can't even just wait for him to die."
621Pazu: Ugh, agewise probably. I hope a moon drops on us.
622"Wizzz" (GM):(btw Erhard, Scorn, feel free to wake up and wander yourself if you're dying of boredom)
623(the party is already split 3 ways!)
624Thirbaek Merrymace:"What does he owe you in the contract? If he's getting a servant and unlimited butter, ypu hopefully get something as well."
625Object of Scorn wakes up and investigates his room
626The imp goes red in the face and sputters about butter in incoherent rage.
627"Wizzz" (GM):as mentioned, Bed, nightstand, empty chest, unlit oil lamp.
628Thirbaek Merrymace:("Where did the butter touch you, Pazu?")
629"Wizzz" (GM):There's also a glass window you can open and unlock to look out upon the lake once the curtains are drawn back
630Erhard De Vend stretches and eyes scorn from the bed
631Erhard De Vend:so got any ideas on what to do
632Thirbaek Merrymace:(Not adventure, apparently
633(At least for this session)
634"Wizzz" (GM):(hey you're snooping at least, now)
635Thirbaek Merrymace:(I feel bad about it too. These pig people are perfectly nice, and we shouldn't really be stealing their fish hooks.)
636Erhard De Vend:well... I think I'll see myself out friend.. grabbing the oil lantern and heading out of the room to explore
637Object of Scorn stays inside and nibbles on the bed sheets
638"Wizzz" (GM):D'ya need a rundown on the top floor again, or just heading downstairs?
639Thirbaek Merrymace:"Well. Have you ever considered converting? The spiritscape might not be so bad if you had patron."
640"Then you could break your contract and ve done with it."
641"Wizzz" (GM):The mention of butter seems to have put the imp into a sour mood. "Hurry up and shit, will ya?"
642Thirbaek Merrymace:"Yeah sure."
643Ritehere:I think I'll wander round to room 21
644Thirbaek Merrymace proceeds to stay in the restroom for an hour
645"Wizzz" (GM):Alright, you creep downstairs during the butter episode
646Thirbaek Merrymace:(I'm ready to call it a night, once the snooping concludes.)
647"Wizzz" (GM):Yeah, at this rate the session might end in the mansion rather than the hamlet...
648And slip past the distracted imp to check out 21. It's an interesting
649door, Erhard- sealed with 4 iron spikes, and there's 9 crude eyes drawn on it (see discord for ref)
650Gurgles and slurping noises can be heard behind it.
651Object of Scorn ceases nibbling and goes to see what Erhard is doing
652Thirbaek Merrymace:(Sounds like a horrible magical trap. Best leave it alone.)
653Erhard De Vend:ah... I feel like I shouldn't... but I really want to...
654Thirbaek Merrymace:(Well, it's not our house. You do you, bro.)
655Erhard De Vend touches one of the spikes warping it's shape so it falls out of the door so that I may peer inside to see what's behind
656"Wizzz" (GM):There's a sputtering imp a few dozen feet away- might wanna catch the spike lest the noise alert the imp
657You can't see very well through the door- holding up the light blinds you, and without it, the room within is dark. Scorn's a goblin (or a groslington, depending on who you ask) and they're supposed to be able to see in the dark though...
658Erhard De Vend:say, wanna take a look at what's in here.
659Object of Scorn waddles up to the door
660Erhard De Vend:can't see to well myself
661Object of Scorn takes a lookaroo
662"Wizzz" (GM):You can see some abominable writhing mass of flesh, quietly bubbling and morphing inside the room.
663It seems to be inside a pit of unknown depth, occasionally resting the top.
664*cresting
665Thirbaek Merrymace:(We should just go, really. We're bothering these folk unnecessarily.)
666(Although....)
667(Nah. I was about to suggest burning the house down, but that won't solve anything )
668"Wizzz" (GM):Is the general idea to just leave, or snoop around?
669Ritehere:s'pose we'll just leave if that's what everyones decided is more worth while
670Object of Scorn:Yeah, we COULD unleash the flesh beast, but we will probably just get ourselves killed in the process
671Thirbaek Merrymace:(It looks like there are five more rooms. I wouldn't mind knowing what's in there.)
672Erhard De Vend continues to investigate trying the door of room 22
673"Wizzz" (GM):mixed messages, is that a skip forward to next day and probably a session end due to the late hour, or continue snooping?
674Say Skip or Snoop
675Thirbaek Merrymace:(I'm just saying that unless some new information comes to light, I don't think we have any need to mess with these guys until they actually start taking over the estate. And even then, not really.)
676(I'd snoop, but I'm being the distraction atm.)
677"Wizzz" (GM):(that still counts!)
678Erhard De Vend:snoop snoop
679Object of Scorn will snoop with Erhard
680"Wizzz" (GM):Alrighty!
681You'd have to remove the 3 remaining iron spikes from the door to open it
682Somewhat risky with the imp right there...
683Erhard De Vend:I think it best we leave the beast for now and try some other doors
684Thirbaek Merrymace:(For real.)
685(Next room!)
686"Wizzz" (GM):The next room can be accessed easily enough- it has a ig wooden cabinet at the back right, and some shelves with glass jars filled with some fluids.
687There is one glass jar that has been taken out and placed near a smoldering fire- a drop of blix's blood is suspended within
688Thirbaek Merrymace:(Awesome.)
689"Wizzz" (GM):The whole 'blix putting their blood in a jar' would have happened at dinner so it's familiar to ya.
690Any further investigation here?
691Erhard De Vend:hmm seems normal enough.. lets try another door
692"Wizzz" (GM):A two-story library, a staircase running up the west wall.
693The ground floor has a desk with locked drawers and an oddly curved lamp.
694Erhard De Vend:ah, now this is my kind of room!
695"Wizzz" (GM):There are two paintings on the north wall, and a blank spot south where there are no bookshelves, just wall.
696Blix:((emergency irl sorry g2g)
697"Wizzz" (GM):aight, cya
698Erhard De Vend investigates the desk making short work of the locks
699Blix:(wait...false alarm...maybe??? Apologies. Idk what's going on but I'll do my best to catch up but if I disappear again that's why)
700"Wizzz" (GM):This is probably a bad time to mention cantrips aren't actually infinite ritehere
701Object of Scorn:(i was about to say "volvo pls fix"
702If he just turned every lock into a wet noodle
703"Wizzz" (GM):My bad for not mentioning it earlier, I forgot the glass knige when you used the pie
704*knige
705*knife!
706and then after resting for a decent amount of time this night, the spike is the cast of the day
707Ritehere:o
708"Wizzz" (GM):The lamp is a bulls-eye lantern that can be swivelled to shine at different things due to its odd curvature.
709Though it is off, currently.
710Object of Scorn:Hmm
711You think we're done with the library/
712Thirbaek Merrymace:(The blank spot is probs a secret door, but keep it moving bc it's hella late.)
713(And we got 3 more rooms.)
714Erhard De Vend:aye guess we'll keep a move on
715Object of Scorn:(Yeah, I say we keep on trucking.)
716(We might be able to visit again for dinner and do the same thing)
717Blix:Blix might run into another snooper I guess,?
718"Wizzz" (GM):Yeah, you bump into this lot for this room
719Alight, next room is a trophy room- a giant candle
720that makes your eyes hurt when looking at it, and 3 humans, poorly stuffed, in glass cases.
721Blix::(
722Object of Scorn:(That's pretty brutal)
723"Wizzz" (GM):One is in armor and holds a sword, looking knightly, one a wild looking barbarian with 6 black arrows in his back and an axe, and a shield-maiden with shield and spear whose cotton-stuffed head lies atop a pile of gold coins.
724Blix:Magic anywhere?
725"Wizzz" (GM):The eye-hurting candle is definitely magic, and you kinda don't want to look at it with your magic eye...
726Blix:Yeah
727"Wizzz" (GM):The sword though, appears magical.
728Thirbaek Merrymace:(Oooooh)
729Blix:No looky there then. "Hmm, candle and sword are magic, careful though, don't know what else could be"
730Blix doesn't really want to mess with glass cases themself
731"Wizzz" (GM):No apparent means of opening them besides bashing 'em, anyway- maybe lifting them up over the stuffed occupants?
732Thirbaek Merrymace:(Cool place to loot. If the hundred pigmen outside ever get reolved.)
733Blix:( no kidding lol)
734Durk:(Yeah, I think OoS is going to go back to bed)
735Object of Scorn:(I think every other character has snooping covered)
736"Wizzz" (GM):Aight, I think I should scoot things forward and call it session probly
737Erhard De Vend:I'll follow you to bed and call it from there tbh
738Object of Scorn:(Time to session end and then go on about plans and DEEP LORE for the next 2 hours)
739"Wizzz" (GM):The kitchen, should you investigate, has a tall pigman chef... the next day, attempting to leave has some distractions from Oresh, starting with wanting to hear Blix's story about Princess Taker before you go
740upping to insisting Blix & friends stay until the homunculous gestation is complete and the tuskmen outside leave so there's no 'misunderstandings'
741and culminating in the doors actually locking themselves with a not-so-subtle magical wave of the hand from Oresh that he feigns ignorance of
742You, are, for the moment, trapped in the mansion until a proper escape plan is made!
743Object of Scorn:(Oof)
744Thirbaek Merrymace:(I mean... Oooooor we can do combat?)
745Object of Scorn:(I mean I was gonna find a flintlock and shoot myself, but that would work too)
746Thirbaek Merrymace:(Lol.)
747"Wizzz" (GM):If you want to try forcing your way out
748spending a week here and having downtime will be in order probably
749as you said, 100 tuskmen outside
750might want to wait for them to colonize the estate first
751Thirbaek Merrymace:(Yeah sure. At least we can rob the place on the way out.)
752"Wizzz" (GM):but as everyone seems to be dying of sleep deprivation, additional big scenes seem like a no go
753anywho, downtime actions?
754Thirbaek Merrymace:My downtime is trying to steal Oresh's imp.
755"Wizzz" (GM):mansion limited, mind you
756i'll call that make friends, roll 2d6
757Thirbaek Merrymace:7
