wiltedyetstrong1: Of course, I can't say I was surprised my most recent, well, escapade, putting it lightly, was a bludgeoning defeat. It wasn't all bad. I learned some things, mostly about darwinian law of nature and, among other things, these alleged people that created us only to want us erased from history. We "won", even if it came as a loss. Only one of us survived: me. David didn't count as a living being so, he came out with more than a few scratches. We landed at a nearby military station. We had quite the story to explain what ship we were on, how it came to be. Our vitals checked out so they took us in. I wasn't done learning more, even if I still twitch in pain and odd obsessions. A strange creation, bloomed from me in a wiry worm form, later mutated into a strange form of life. Shocking, scared, but I can't stop thinking about it and how it happened. Horrifying, but, I can't tell a soul. I lean my legs against a table, my back to the wall as I cross my arms. I was waiting for you to get your final treatments in, allegedly becoming an android molded from stronger materials. You come out, looking dashing of course, but I can't really say that. How would it work? "Seems like you're better than ever. You look good."
Duke of Spades: "At the risk of sounding self-amorous, I dare say they've done a top-notch job," I say, watching my hands as I extend my arm, twisting my hand around, making and un-making fists and just generally taking an interest in examining my body, the way a child might if they awoke one day in the body of an adult. "Not all of us have bodies that are capable of self-repair." I say, noting that your injuries have been healing in the time since we got here.
wiltedyetstrong1: I look away but maintain a forced, albeit truthful enough smile. "Yeah," I caress my inner forearm. "Although it'd be great to not have the curses of biology from time to time, don't you think?" Not enough time has passed from that scene inside the medical chamber. All by myself, no less. It was probably the worst part about that whole nightmare, with the most ignorant, bafflingly-dumb crew members I've ever worked alongside. "Anyway to do a brain transplant, yet?" I make a passing joke. A joke, that was serious.
Duke of Spades: I ponder your question for a moment as I look back down at my factory-fresh synthetic body. "...I suppose our existences both come with unique advantages and limitations. I may not age, or get sick, or play host to... certain horrors, but neither will I ever create life. My comprehention of emotions and human interactions is different, I'll always be an outsider among people. Even though I may have feelings of my own, I know they are based on algorithms and computer models, I question whether they are truly 'real.'" I look back up towards you, reading your face to interpret your emotional response to my comparison.
wiltedyetstrong1: "Does it bloody matter much?" I caress my wrist. "In a few hundred years, we'll all be like you." I stand up and nearly trip over my own legs before you catch me from falling over. "Like that." I look up at you, noting your mechanism to grab me, not letting me hurt myself, nor letting me loose. "Creating life is overrated," I murmur under my breath near your chest. "You handle your impulses. Most life created was a result of fucking without any regard to the consequences."
Duke of Spades: As fascinated as I am with humanity since my activation, I find it difficult to relay my envy. "I'm afraid my impulses, such as they are, don't amount to much more than regular maintenance and fulfillment of mission parameters." I set you back on your feet and look you in the eyes. "Do you believe in the soul?"
wiltedyetstrong1: "At times, I used to, but after what I saw, the absolute horror of what life beyond what we are is…" I look up at your eyes. "I don't think so." I blink in a stern way, fixating my eyes on yours. "I look into your eyes and see that of what I see on another living person. If a soul exists, you have it too."
Duke of Spades: I'm not sure what to believe, but they way you treat me is better than most. To many I'm a sideshow attraction when they find out what I am, a novelty, but not to you. "My eyes are fake, built to resemble yours. I could just as easily see through a standard camera lense, would you see the same thing in that, or is it by the illusion of my design that you deem me a person?"
wiltedyetstrong1: "Everything is fake, isn't it? Bone is just a form of natural plastic. My brain is a computer, too. The only things that set us apart are ways that you can turn everything off. You're not immune to the same things. Love, lust, pain. Those are the worst part about living, and you avoid that. You have a personality, you're human enough." I smile from the corner of my face as I touch your cheek. "You'd be dead, no question, but here you are, able to talk to me about what happened. Nobody else could, would, they wouldn't believe me. You can prevent me from going insane."
Duke of Spades: I look seriously at you, quietly running a simulation of what happened to you and what it would have been like for you, based on what I know of your personality. The program runs in a few seconds. It was indeed traumatic, but I'm optimistic of your mental health. "You aren't going to go insane," I declare matter-of-factly, "You made it off that world alive, after all that happened and maintaned proper mental wellness. But I'm here if you need to talk."
wiltedyetstrong1: "Talk?" I ask myself in a bit of an aloof detour. You were right, you certainly weren't human. I was fooled, convinced that more would come of this trip-into-revelation ordeal. But maybe it can't, maybe it's impossible. If creating life is the origin of what has become love and kinship, then maybe it's truly, strictly human and belongs to a soul-enabled creature. "Talk." I place my hands on my hips. "Talk…" I repeat again, laughing slightly about it. "You are certainly you, David." I press my hand to the door and it unlocks. "We'll have much to talk about when we get our crew together. This time, tell me, and give a reason for poisoning somebody." I step forward and turn around. "And it better not be me."
Duke of Spades: Another voyage meant another months-long stint overseeing the largely automated operations of the ship and tending to our crew, asleep in stasis capsules. I realize that being alone like this would distress most humans, just as a trip this long even with company would test their endurance, so I consider myself fortunate that I can live without need and thus tolerate these long stretches of time easily. There are some things, however, that demand the attention of more eyes than just mine. A signal, an unknown one. I can't say with certainty whether something needs to be done about it or not, but I feel that it's not my place to decide something like that, that responsibility falls to you. I enter the sleep bay with a cart stocked with towels and amenities, and I interface with the controls, letting the stasis capsules slowly depressurize and open. Humanity makes its presence known to the ship once more.
wiltedyetstrong1: You punched the keys on my status chamber first, considering I was assigned the lead on this operation, you felt it was justifiable to do so. The others, well, they weren't me to you. The next thing I know is, I find it hard to breathe once I feel the sudden, kick-in-the-gut type effect awakening prematurely would get. It always hurt, but this was more sudden, my brain wasn't fully there. The top opens and I lean up quickly, fidgeting, although not fully comprehensible as I mutter words without really meaning attached to them for a few seconds. Gaining my abilities back, I finally speak an understandable language. "What is going on?" I look at the panel's reading, and we're at least a week away from it. "Is there a problem?"
Duke of Spades: "Maybe." I say, helping you up. "There's something out there, I thought you should know. A beacon, by my best estimation, but it's impossible to be certain. I thought you might want to evaluate it and consider our options, perhaps discuss it with the crew if you feel it's prudent."
wiltedyetstrong1: I groan and grab the towel and water and drink that pretty quick before handing it back to you. "Alright, let's see it." I take a look at the rest of the team still asleep, and seeing as well, you aren't human, redressing to my full proper portrayal wasn't a vested interest at this time. Maybe later. "If this isn't good I'm going back in there," I grouch to the front panel of the way smaller craft this time around. "Unless there's more to see but I doubt it. What did you pick up?"
Duke of Spades: I follow you to the bridge, unphased by your half-dressed state, the bare human form means little more to me than any other way of being, but I can acknowledge that it denotes a certain degree of comfort, I assume that comes from our shared experiences. I call up the display showing the properties of the signal. "Unfortunately, it's not in any known natutral language or computer language, in fact it's in a part of the spectrum not normally used for human communications because of limitations at long range, but apparently that problem has been overcome by whoever set up this one."
wiltedyetstrong1: "So, something is down there, or was, and sent out a message but we can't figure it out. Not even you." I'm a little nervous by this, because you know so many languages, more than I can even fantom existing. It was alarming, to say the least. "Do we know if anything is left? Any living life? Or did it get blasted away or… other things?" I turn to you and face you. I kind of knew what I was doing but a lot of the computer readings went over my head a bit. I was curious, but I know what curiosity can lead to.
Duke of Spades: "Unfortunately, we're presently too far away to determine any further properties. Our scanners can be put in range to determine if there's anything down there only by deviating from our original course. Quite simply, that's our only way to know."
wiltedyetstrong1: "I'd hate to abandon anybody that needs help, but last time we went to someone way out here we all basically ended up dead." I cross my arms and lean back. "What do you think?"
Duke of Spades: I don't change my body position, I just stand with my good posture. "Well, curiosity is why we're out here, isn't it? We could have taken the first transport back to Earth and laid on the beach sipping margaritas, but we chose another path. Whatever is there, it's something never before encountered."
wiltedyetstrong1: "I'm sure you would have done such a thing," I scoff, rolling my eyes back and rubbing my chin a bit. "Something is or was down there, and clearly needed help. Okay, I got that, but, how old do you think the message is? If it's thousands of years old, hundreds, days, weeks… this can help us figure out if it's safe or even important to go." I uncross my arms and stand up straight.
Duke of Spades: "What I can say for certain is that there is a significant power source behind this transmission, for this type of signal to make this kind of range. However that doesn't definitively prove that anyone is tending to it, I myself am powered by a zero-loss lithium ion cell. While I won't be powering the ship by myself any time soon, I'm guaranteed to keep functioning indefinitely, barring major physical damage."
wiltedyetstrong1: "That doesn't actually answer much, does it?" I cross my arms again and lean against the wall. "Alright, let's go check it out. Maybe we can learn something new about life beyond ours, but we should use our evac ships to surface. Just in case, we won't be as lucky next time with a ship to leave the planet on. I'm sure of it." I walk out of the room and head to the other chambers. "It was quite nice just the two of us, I think." IÂ turn my head.
Duke of Spades: "Shall I wake the others to let them know of our change of plan, ma'am?" I ask, while entering in the new flight data in the main console.
wiltedyetstrong1: "I think I can do this. Figure it out, at least." Before I press any buttons, I walk to where my clothes were stashed. "Getting a leg up this way," You look at me weirdly. "It's a phrase, not like, literally, well, I did put my leg up. But, ehh, nothing." I get redressed and toss my hair around and push in the button to open the pods.
Duke of Spades: With the crew awakened and their immediate needs tended to, finally we're able to sit around the table and explain to them the situation and what we're doing about it. Gerry is indifferent to it, saying "Whatever, I'm getting paid either way." Eden is the first to raise concerns, though. "So we don't even know what's out there and we're just going to roll up and knock on the door? What if it's a trap? It could be pirates or something trying to lure ships to them so they can strip it for parts. Why should we take the risk?"
wiltedyetstrong1: "Of course it could be all of those things, it might even be more than that. But, what we're doing is, taking some of the evac ships down to the surface. In groups, and one person is the leader, and if that person does NOT listen to the leader…" I open up a drawer and pull out a handheld gun and stick in a dart. "Paralyze them, temporarily. Bring them back to the ship because we are not going to let another Prometheus incident happen to us. Many people were gravely disappointed in the result."
Duke of Spades: She's stunned into silence by that, but she can see you're not going to be talked out of this, no matter how reasonable the objections. "I don't suppose you're going to let me stay back here in stasis until you find out what that stupid signal is." I answer for you, "All members of the crew will be necessary for this mission. ...We shall all exercise caution." I say, trying to ease the disappointment on her face.
wiltedyetstrong1: "You should all be excited!" I preach like a teacher to a disinterested crowd. I was a burden, unfortunately. "A message was crafted, there is way more life out there. How did they get here? Who are they? We can help figure this out if we just take a look. We're already out here, why the hell not? Right? If you don't want to be on the surface you can stay here and help examine some of the little tidbits we find on the surface and bring back. We will follow STRICT quarantine rules, and if anybody fails to oblige them… we have consequences."
Duke of Spades: Despite the objections and indifference of some of the crew, there is some genuine interest from George and Herbert. Of course, being the ones to discover the second alien civilization doesn't carry exactly the same prestige as your initial discovery, and your return of the engineer ship, but working on your crew for a second discovery is important enough to ensure at least a lucrative book deal. "Very well, then," I say to everyone, "make your preparations, we'll be departing shortly."
wiltedyetstrong1: "I'm not going to let any of you fuck this up, and I hope you look at this the same, get dressed, get ready, no fucking around. This is important." I walk out of the room and get myself ready for something I fear that will go wrong, again. I could turn back, but there's a lot on this now. I don't know what it is, but I feel like something on this pal net's surface is important. I can't shake the feeling, nor can I understand it. I get on my suit and set my helmet to the side. "I want you staying on the ship," I say to you without looking up. I could just tell it was you. Most of the other crew doesn't like me much, some stuck up Brit.
Duke of Spades: "Ma'am?" Of course, I'll honor whatever command you make, it's not my place to do otherwise, but I would have thought that you would want me by your side for this. "If that is your wish, certainly, I just... I thought I could be of more use as part of the ground crew."
wiltedyetstrong1: "If you ask me," I stand up. "I don't trust anybody else in this ship but you." I get up close to you. "Because what I know, no, what I feel is, they're going to do something stupid. Mess it up. Be selfish, whatever. I've had enough people underneath me single-handedly fuck up an entire operation and end up dead. Would have destroyed our fucking planet if they had their way. I'm going down, and you'll actually listen to me. I remember the old exercises we went through a few we… no, well, since I was awake, I mean, and they didn't even pay much attention to what I had to say. I don't think they like me."
Duke of Spades: "It's my understanding that a commanding officer doesn't need to be liked to fulfill their duty. I have the utmost confidence in your abilities, Miss Shaw." I understand your reluctance to trust them, however. We've both experienced concequences of bad descision-making of others, you especially, but my confidence is in your ability to make it through regardless. "I'll watch over the status of both teams and help coordinate from here. Would you like my assistance to prepare?"
wiltedyetstrong1: "That would be helpful, yes." Some long hours occur to prepare, educate, and situate these people into groups. I go over the mission with them more than a few times, just look around a bit, extract some life on the planet if it's there, and then get back if things seem to be going south. This was important to follow in order to anticipate us doing our original plan. We have an explorer team and an extraction team. I overlook both, but I'm more on the exploring side of things. "We need to get these evac ships back in good condition, so we can't stay long or use up much fuel. Does everybody get that?"
Duke of Spades: "Yes, ma'am." The crew has been well prepped by this point, the only holdout being Eden, but she's staying behind with me anyway. If she causes any problems, I have no problem with confining her to a bunk to ensure mission success. It's decided that Herbert will go with you and Gerry and George will be extraction. Everything is set to take off.
wiltedyetstrong1: It was awfully quiet in the exploring craft. I shutter my arms together and look around as we reach the surface. "I thought I said only one gun per team?" I notice you carrying it at your side. "I already have one, and I don't think we need more than one for this. We don't even know if anybody has been alive on this planet for thousands of years."
Duke of Spades: "We don't know they're not, either. In fact we don't know anything about it." I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm on your side, but I'm nervous and I just want that extra insurance. "Look, the last thing I want is to have to use it, but it's better that it be here just in case."
wiltedyetstrong1: "We don't have an infinite amount of guns. What happens if something goes wrong on the ship? David needs one, doesn't he? Who knows what sort of bloody-fucking-shit might go wrong." You think my paranoia is a little ridiculous, but you don't know what happened, nobody really does. I look out the window, the planet looks strange, moldy even. The atmosphere is cloudy, dense. "Something might have went off, a bomb, maybe."
Duke of Spades: I'm keeping an eye out for any signs of movement and more importantly, a good spot to put the lifeboat down. "Fuckin' unreal... Wait, what is that?" I point at something that definitely looks like an artificial structure, a building, but it's old and overgrown, nature has reclaimed it. The closer we get, we see more buildings, but it's the same everywhere. "Shit... guess we're too late."
wiltedyetstrong1: We all get out of the ship and look around, going our separate ways. "Meet up in 20, here. No questions." I start walking and looking at these abandoned places, buildings, overtaken by nature and what looks like some off-looking fungus. "Whatever happened here, it was major… massive. I'm just, in awe at some of these building structures. Who were these people? Where are they?" I reach out for a knife and slice off a fragment of the fungus off of a piece of building. "I don't know if it's as rich as it is over here, let's extract our own. Open the bag." I drop it in.
Duke of Spades: I take a look at it through the clear bag. "Some kind of vegetation, looks like a fungus of some sort." It seems strange, that even on an alien world, there could still be types of life that we can relate to specific types back home. I laugh a little "Wonder if they got pine trees too, I missed one for christmas last year."
wiltedyetstrong1: "I wouldn't be surprised…" I look around and I take a look at my atmospheric reader device. It says clear, breathable, save to do so. "It says here that the environment is full of oxygen, breathable, so we might not need to use as much in our suits, but I wouldn't be so sure of it. Not worth taking off your helmet for… we don't know what might be in the air." I get on my knees and dig around a bit under this weirdly-shaped fungus. "Check this out, Herbert. It's almost shaped like a person." I rub my gloved hand over it. It's not too hard, but not firm either.
Duke of Spades: I crouch down beside you and feel it too. "That's... really unsettling." Curiosity starts taking over, I want to know if there's actually a body in there. I take out my knife and I cut a slice deep into it. I pull it open with the side of the blade and it's all just plant matter all the way down. I sigh with relief, "okay, that makes me feel a bit better. I don't know what to make of the shape, though, could it just be a coincidence?"
wiltedyetstrong1: I look at you weirdly, mortified in fact. "What the hell are you doing?!" I back away from you. "I said strict quarantine procedures! You don't know what's in there! You don't know…" I look inside and it appears empty, but still, I've heard things about fungus. "You can't just dig yourself into the earth here, some weird plant, some weird animal, maybe it will bleed acid, maybe it's bloody hot chocolate but you can't do a thing like that!" (thats a really good way for rando to get it in his system, maybe inside on his gloves when he takes the suit off)
Duke of Spades: "What?" I say defensively, "I'm not breaking quarantine. I didn't take my helmet off just because you said there's oxygen, I'm not an idiot. I just wanted to make sure we're not going to be swallowed up by some freaky man-eating mushroom."
wiltedyetstrong1: "You provoked it, dug into it. What if if were a man eating mushroom? You'd be bloody dead now, wouldn't you?" I groan at you. "What if? Aren't you an expert? … Aren't you… well, what are you?! Why would you do that?" I start screaming but notice that the cut you made has molded over almost instantaneously since you cut it. "Did you see that?" I get closer to it. "It just grew right back."
Duke of Spades: "Great, self-healing fungus, I'm sure we'll be lauded as heroes when we bring this home." I say sarcastically. In truth, I'm kind of jealous. You manage to make the biggest discovery in history a few months ago, and after I tag along with you, the promising mystery is nothing more than a weird plant. Well, I guess that's not totally fair, there is evidence of a dead civilization here, which is still pretty significant. I wonder if it belonged to your so-called engineers.
wiltedyetstrong1: "I don't know what's so off-putting about this, it's remarkable. How fast it healed…" I rub my hand over it, it's a little bit sticky. "It recovered itself just fine. Perfect, really." I squeeze it a little bit. "It's not docile, but it's not moving either." I get out a bad. "We should examine the replacement and see if it helps us understand this a little bit more. I'm starting to think this fungus was apart of the problem, here." I get a bag and slice off some of the replacement, but stop when I feel it move a little bit. I get startled by the sudden shift and fall back with my knife, accidentally slicing off a small piece of my suit and I yelp, not being caught by you, not like David did.
Duke of Spades: "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I go to pick you up, but I see the cut in the suit. "Oh fuck, that's... this is going to be a quarantine problem." We may be able to get you back into the lifeboat to test for stuff, but protocol is going to make it a pain in the ass with all we'll have to do to verify no risk in bringing you back to the ship.
wiltedyetstrong1: I keep on the ground, looking at the small, barely visible cut wound. "I fucking hate mushrooms," I grumble and reach into my side pockets to get a strip to contain the cut, which was of course, part of the suit design. Just in case of emergencies, like this one. "Thanks for catching me," I sarcastically remark before I look at my glove and then go to touch at my skin underneath. I stop, though, upon seeing the crusty white fungus showcasing on the black gloves. "I shouldn't touch my skin with this." I look around, unsure of how to fix this. "Can you fix it without touching my skin with your glove?" The last thing I want is to be one of 'those' people that died so carelessly.
Duke of Spades: "I've got you covered." I say, taking off my supplies pack and opening it up. From it, I produce a roll of gauze and some tape. "This may not be air-tight, but it'll have to do until we can get you something better." I fashion a bandage and hold it against your cut, being careful not to touch your wound with any part of the gauze I touched directly, and I tape it down on you. "This is so fucked. I'm starting to see Eden's point, this place might be dangerous, we don't know. It doesn't look like anybody's home, we should just take the samples and go."
wiltedyetstrong1: "I'll agree with you there," I look at my watch. Still a few minutes left for the meet up. "All I saw on the way down was forests, water, this white stuff. Didn't know it was just fungus until now. I think it took over, I don't know how, but I know I don't want any of it growing on the ship." I stick it in more with a thump from my elbow. "I'll do the quarantine in the docking bay, just bring me chemical shower materials and we should be alright." It's kind of embarrassing that, for how much I talked about safety, I was the one that fucked up. Well, an android would have grabbed me before the knife went in...
Duke of Spades: Protocol is meant to be more strict than that, but what can I do when you're the captain of this mission? When we rendezvous with the other team, however, it's our great displeasure to find that we are not the biggest fuckups of our group. "What the hell are you doing with your helmets off?!" "This atmosphere is breathable, we're saving our reserve supply." This is going to be even worse than I thought, I'm starting to doubt we even make it back to the ship tonight with all this shit that needs dealing with first.
wiltedyetstrong1: I don't even hesitate for a moment before I bring out my gun and hold it out. Not the tranquilizer. A real gun. "Put your helmets back on, and cycle the clean oxygen. NOW!" I command, walking backwards, wondering if it's too late. "What did you see over there?!" I keep the gun on them. "Because don't you see this planet is fucking full of plants and fungus?! How do you know how clean the oxygen is, our technology might not pick up signals of infection in the air! Do you see ANYBODY alive?!"
Duke of Spades: "Oh come on, you're being paranoid. You don't know this stuff did anything, it probably just overgrew the place after the locals left or died off. The scanners can detect pathogens less than a picometer wide, there's no way we wouldn't know about it if there were something dangerous. Now get that thing out of my face, will ya? Oh yeah and I saved you a ton of money paying for less air, you're welcome."
wiltedyetstrong1: I see them approaching the ship, but I'm angry, and I won't let foolishness kill all of us. Not him, not me. "Step away from the ship. If you get on there, if you even touch it. I will shoot you. I will not let you get on the main ship." I continue to walk forward. "I am not kidding. An airborne virus killed members of our team last time. You see the white? Over there?" I point my gun near it. "It's a trail of fungus, self-repairing. God knows how it got like this, but I don't want to find out."
Duke of Spades: "You're serious? What, then? You want to strand us here? Bull fucking shit, we're not staying here." It's not good, what they're implying. They want to defy your orders. This can't be allowed to go on. "Stand down, you're under orders. You'll get on the ship when we can verify there's nothing wrong." "Fuck you, we're fine! Don't be a couple fucking assholes!" "Don't move another step!"
wiltedyetstrong1: "Everybody shut up!" I shout and keep the gun out. "You can get on the ship after your quarantine. You have jeopardized everything by not only taking off your helmets, but violating the order of the mission." I knew they didn't like me, but this was too far. "Helmets on, oxygen circulated. Do not take off your suit, or touch anything. Stay in the cargo bay while we run the diagnostics. You're extraction, for fuck's sake. What did you extract?"
Duke of Spades: He throws a bag at you, it's another sample like the one you got. There's basically nothing else on this planet to get a sample of. "There, are you happy? Put the gun away, we'll stay in the fucking cargo bay, fine." He capitulates, but his tone is still aggressive. David speaks to you through the radio, "Ma'am, if you are worried there is a contaminant that eludes our sensors, I'm afraid I'm at a loss and how we'd go about verifying it."
wiltedyetstrong1: I put the gun away and catch the bag. I feel the sample through the materials. This wasn't like the other sample. It was shaped different, softer. You could squeeze it down, like manufactured bread. It wasn't the same. I speak back to David. "We just need to quarantine, just in case. Alright? Nothing like last time can happen again. Nothing. Ever." I speak adamantly about it, given my experience with, a well, aborted "child". "A little recklessness can go a long way, and hurt those who are careful the most. We're getting in the craft, Put the quarantine materials in the cargo bay and make sure nobody is there for when we dock. I'll be there first, followed by them. If we can detect nothing, we still need to be careful." I walk to the craft and navigate the position, having us dock first. "Bloody idiots." I grumble, taking off the gloves and setting them in a bag as well, Herbert's as well. "I don't think they saw what we saw. The human-looking one." I lean back in relief a bit, awaiting for our docking.
Duke of Spades: When you arrive, David comes to the window on the door, speaking over the intercom. "I'm sorry for your present circumstances, we'll do everything in our power to get you out of their quickly, but we have to be careful because the risk is great if there is something present."
wiltedyetstrong1: "What a fucked up thing to happen." No surprises here, I sure wasn't shocked. I rub my forehead, my bare hand feeling good against my forehead. I reach back for the bag, but notice it feels different. Firmer. Larger. "Holy shit," I mutter under my breath as the bag with our gloves has the mutated fungus growth all within them, making the bag much larger, stretching it out. "When we touched it, look, it's fucking growing!" It wasn't but 30 minutes, but it's already eloped itself to being double the size of the bag without the fungal growth over the gloves.
"Look at it," I marvel at the bag which has since been contained in a larger container. The fungus keeps growing. "We need to burn it before it takes over the room." I murmur, although confirming to some time for study as I am now in a more appropriate lab gear, just some casual wears on the ship. David was on the surface to examine the planet, no problems for him, he's an android. "What do you make of this?" I wasn't sure of this guy since he was on the surface, breathing in the air even when I told him not to. "And sorry, about the whole gun thing. But my point stood, things, fungus, gross fucking fungus like this was all over."

Duke of Spades, 5:06:47 AM:
"It's fair to say you over-reacted, but yeah I forgive you." Gerry says, giving himself a little too much credit when in fact it really was a stupid move. "But I mean, what are the chances we'd find a planet with a breathable atmosphere? I had to do it, we're probably the first. Well, uh, except for your last crew I guess. I plan to be the first to come home and tell the tale, though."

wiltedyetstrong1, 5:19:36 AM:
"The chances are rather high," I narrow my eyes at you and cross my arms again. "There's millions of them, and I've been on one. Breathable, but you know what happened? Cancerous, in the air. Poisonous. Perhaps you don't know what went on on the Prometheus, but I do. Everyone is dead, but me. Everybody was stupid except me, and doing a stunt like you did was as moronic as my old team. It was stupid, and careless. As far as I am concerned, you're off the project team."

Duke of Spades, 5:26:03 AM:
"Hey, bullshit I'm off the team, I'm not taking a pay cut because you're all fucking paranoid. I get it, you found some old ship with freaky monsters, but there's nothing here except this damn fungus and I didn't touch the stuff so who cares? If you don't want me out there, fine, I'll stay on the ship and collect my money, but you're not taking me off the duty roster, no fuckin' way."

wiltedyetstrong1, 5:28:25 AM:
"I don't want you anywhere close to anything that could endanger our lives," I get close to your face. You're taller than me, so intimidation was a bit rough, but I had an edge. I was assertive, and I have shown my skills in my survivalism. "Because this is a small crew, only medical specialist is an android and he's off the ship. If thaÖ" My eyes turn to the developing growth of the fungus inside of the large chamber. It's growing out again, so quickly, yet if you stare it's so slow. It's beginning to shape like the woman's leg we saw from the piece earlier. "Look, we can't afford to keep that fucking thing on our ship look at how fast it's growing! It repairs, itÖ it overtook the fucking planet!" I hover my hand over the burn switch.

Duke of Spades, 5:35:58 AM:
"Wait, you're being hasty." I grab your hand. "If you want to make this expedition worth anything, we need a sample to bring back, it's as simple as that. We just need to figure out a way to slow its growth, maybe it's the air that's feeding it, what if we change the atmospheric makeup of the box? What if we freeze it? There's a hundred things we could do, hell we could keep cutting pieces for samples and throwing out the rest if we can't stop it, but we need to bring back something." Without proof of our discovery, I'm worried our story won't hold as much weight. You managed to pilot an entire alien ship back, your future is already set for life, me, I need my own discovery.

wiltedyetstrong1, 5:40:17 AM:
"This was a sidetrack! A derail! My fault. MY responsibility. This was my call, and I'm the leader of this mission." I push you back. "Freezing fungus? It can survive any condition, OUR fungus. We don't know what this one is, what this does. Look! It's already grown back into the shape we took it from. It's expanding. It's growing, because of idiots like us that don't just kill it while you can!" I go to slam the button but you grab my forearm and yank it back. You were stronger than me, I suppose. I have a stinging pain in my arm as you nearly pulled it out of socket! "Damn grunts, that's all you do. Fight, kill. And yet I could have shot youÖ" I grumble as you shove me back, heading towards the chamber. "Don't go in here without oxygen! Purified! It's own airflow! Look at it, the bloody glass is getting foggy. You're a bloody idiot if you go in there!"

Duke of Spades, 5:48:17 AM:
"Shot me? Is that what happened to your last crew, huh? You make up the whole fucking story to cover up murdering them all? I see what this is all about now. Well I'm gonna make sure they all know about it too, you're not gonna fuck us over like you did them."

wiltedyetstrong1, 5:53:45 AM:
I scowl my face and shake my head. "You're fucking full of it." I cautiously back away from you, reaching over to my right and looking into a drawer, feeling around. I'd have to shoot him. It was protocol. This was going to endanger all of us. The world, maybe. If this ship crashes, or someone investigates. I didn't like the thought of what could happen. I feel in the drawerÖ nothing. That's right, he took it. The other fucking gun! I stomp my foot in a quick burst. "Shit shit shit!" I knew him taking that other gun would have fucked things up. Somehow. While I see you entering the code. "Don't! Don't open the gate!" I want to run, but right now, talking you down was the best idea. The problem was, you're doing it out of spite now. You hate me, you have always hated me. Now you think I'm a killer, now you don't even care about the project, it's about spite. It's about fucking spite as I watch, nearly trembling as I know what lies behind that protective cube is not a fresh breeze, but a pathogenic mold that could kill at best. I am remembering the alien creature, exhumed, given to me during an act of sex with someone I can't believe I "loved". It was horrible, I was horrible. I was supposed to be better, I was supposed toÖ Loud sirens go off in the ship, protective measures are done. The door locks behind me. Trying to contain me. "NO!" I shout for an instant, beating on the door, but it locked me in, with you, with the opened gate, the growing fungus. I immediately rip off my jacket and wrap it over my facial orifices , holding in my breath like it actually mattered.

Duke of Spades, 6:08:03 AM:
The seal is breached and the fungus 'breathes,' it seems somehow stimulated by our presence, like it can sense us. Surprisingly, it shrinks a little bit instead of accelerating growth. What we can't see is that it's because it's pushing out millions of microscopic particles into the air. It smells a little bit sweet, actually. The scent triggers more in my brain than just my olfactory center, though. My brain activity becomes irregular, sparking overwhelming urges, which my concious mind somehow has to justify. "This is what you're scared of? A fucking plant growth?" I approach you, cornering you, you have nowhere to go. My aggression spikes. "You think you can just take me off the team for something like this?!" I smack your face hard, not showing any restraint, I don't care if I do any damage. "You can't do shit, you're goddamn powerless next to me, I can do whatever I want." I pull open the front of your coveralls, breaking the zipper open, and I grab your neck keeping you pushed against the wall.

wiltedyetstrong1, 6:12:57 AM:
Something is off. Something is strange. Not just because of what you're doing, but because I'm fighting every urge in my body to breathe. The slap and sudden surprise makes it extremely difficult, but I can't. I won't. I'm not even going to talk. Make any noises. I can't. Eden is out there screaming, asking what's wrong. I want to talk, but I'd breathe. I can't. I can't. I look at the fungus, it's like it's breathing. I see pores ooze. Like the bleeding tooth fungus on earth. It's a yellowish green that oozes out. I try to kick you off, and while I'm technically amazed at this form of life: I have to watch out for my own. By you choking me, it's actually helping me out, not making me tempted to breath. Unfortunately, this could kill me faster than just not breathing. I have less than 3 minutes, tops. 5 at best, or else I'll have to breathe because nobody can drown themselves around air, contaminated or not, which I know is the case because I can see the ooze looking like it's rising up into the environment in little steam packets. What a weird fucking thing. My eyes are sharp on you, I can see your face, it looks disoriented, your eyes are moving everywhere but yet you talk. I wonder ifÖ My line of thinking is derailed byÖ

Duke of Spades, 6:26:25 AM:
I pull the fabric down off your upper body, and undo your belt with one hand while the other is still around your neck. "You goddamn cunt, you're gonna get what's coming to you, what you deserve, and then MAYBE I'll let you fucking live." I'm undoing my own pants as I spin you around, pushing your face into the wall. I push the coveralls down further so they hang around your thighs and I grab the back of your underwear and simply tear them apart. Whenever you try to struggle I just slam you into the wall. I push your upper body down now so you're partially bent over. "This is what you deserve for trying to fuck with me, Dr. Shaw. Nobody gets away with that, least of all some stuck-up paranoid psycho bitch." I force myself into you, despite all your resistance.

wiltedyetstrong1, 6:30:02 AM:
I don't realize that I still haven't breathed. Perhaps I gave up in my exertion, getting away from my fighting, pushing back. Whatever is provoking him, is increasing his testosterone and strength. It's almost unworldly how he's divulging me. I'd say pathetic on me to let this happen, but nobody could get out of this. I'm convinced. I'm a little worried about my ability to keep breathing with the sudden insertion. Such vigor, power, it's difficult to imagine this wasn't related to the gooey, fogged up glass now steaming up the room. It's visible now. I can't look away from it. It's unlike anything I've seen, and I've seen the worst. This wasn't a hostile living creature, this was a hostile plant that was trying to kill me. Without the decency of slicing my head off. It wants me to suffer, it wants me to. I can't help myself, with how you're digging into my skin, going into me, I gasp in. I have breathed. It felt good initially but now I fear for everything.

Duke of Spades, 6:41:08 AM:
I have this insatiable hunger, it's pulling at me to devour you, control you, own you. I pull on your face by hooking my fingers in your mouth. "You think you can control me just because you're supposedly in command of this shitpile? You see how little control you have? You see how I can do whatever the fuck I want to you and you can't do a fucking thing about it but take it? That's your fucking reality, I'm in control, I call the shots. You're nothing, my fucking whore and that's all." I ram myself into you maliciously, hoping you can't stand it, hoping it breaks you. It's violent and ugly.

wiltedyetstrong1, 6:46:59 AM:
I take big, deep breaths. Not because I want to, but because it's a mixture of screaming and agony at the roughshod sex you're explicitly raping me by. Perhaps for what could be the best, or worse, solution. Your hostility settles, in fact, calms you. You're a shell, not the abusive, angered man. You and your unique bond with the fungus and mold soothes you because you sense it in me. I was a carrier now, to the plague that you are inevitably a bond of. It was your child, it's how you view it as your dementia and testosterone drove you mad, violent, aroused. Somehow, we wound up on the floor. Me, nearly fully clothed, only my bra half clinging and attempts for shoes and socks stick to me. While I'm still conscious, aware, angry. I'm just tired and exhausted. Hurt, humiliated, battered. I cough a throaty, benevolent cry, hoping to spit out enough, something, to see if whatever might be influencing youÖ me, exists in visible form. My vision starts to fog over. I think I'm dying. Truthfully, it's the fungus steaming out more. It can detect us, it's close to spreading out, again, anew. "You fucking idiot." I don't even know what it means to insult you, now.

Duke of Spades, 6:57:31 AM:
Even after I finish the act, my brain doesn't leave that mode, I want more. But you've recieved what I have to give, I want new blood, I want to get out of this room. I'm banging on the door, but the locks hold us in tight. On another part of the ship, Eden and the others are freaking out about what to do and horrified by my actions, and they despair that they couldn't get you out of here away from me because it would have meant the release of the fungus into the whole ship, they had to just let you fend for yourself. If I don't get out soon, you're going to endure it again, I'm in such overdrive.

wiltedyetstrong1, 7:05:09 AM:
Your mind is that of the fungus, the desire to spread, grow, get larger. I'm crawling on the floor, not breathing anymore, even if I know it might have been too late. With a free hand out, my body starts to fight, a little bit. I hover my hand over the button to fuel the pouring of cleansing fire, but, unlike earlier, I am not so fast to push it. I want to, I want to, I can feel myself wanting to, but physically, I can't, it won't let me push down on it. I use my reluctancy to pull myself up. "We need to get out," I utter a complete. Is it too late for me?

Duke of Spades, 7:12:03 AM:
"Now you're talking some motherfucking sense." I say, my fist resting against the wall from just stopping banging it. "You've got a way out? An override? Do it and maybe I'll forget about you trying to cut me out."

wiltedyetstrong1, 7:14:37 AM:
I'm a little lopsided in my walk to you, the door. "..YÖ yeah.. over there," I point but correct my vision to a panel on the wall. "There's.. there's aÖ" It's gotten to where I can't really contain myself from breathing, and the more I breathe, the more the spores find themselves in me, which, as I notice, makes you more calm around me. Our 'mother', so to speak, will soon grow so large it needs to get out, and we're the ones to expand it, our colony. "IÖ I know, the way out, the, the number.. pad.." I open it up and glance my fingers over the buttons. "What the fuck are theseÖ" They're numbers, but both of us are losing our rational concepts of what made us human, the more we suck into this gas, and more we grow into an ant-colony type behavior.

Duke of Spades, 7:24:55 AM:
"Get us out of here, we need to get out!" I may be getting better with you, but I'm bursting to get out, it needs to be spread, I can practically feel them out there beyond this door and they need to recieve our lifeforce, our god. Then the world. It needs to happen. I don't realize how debilitated we are. "Just open it!"

wiltedyetstrong1, 7:28:53 AM:
"I need, need your help. The.. code isÖ that oneÖ" I start hovering my fingers over the buttons. You get in close, because your vision is terrible now. Once you get up close to the keys, "I didn't kill them," I speak oddly normal. "But I'm killing you." I quickly grab your neck from behind and rip it around, snapping your neck into an instant death before you can react.. The fungus, the mother, my mom, of sorts, reacts, I can almost feel it talking to me, spitting out more of it, trying to bug me, possess me. It was to plate now. The carrier main carrier was dead. I was acting, but truthfully, I forgot the code, my memory was lapsing, but, I remember you. It. "I always get locked in with you fucking cunts." I feel a jagged pain in my abdominal as I grab it and fall down to my knees. This seems familiar. I don't know if it's better or worse. I can't help but feeling like I betrayed it, but i was wiser, smarter than that. I knew i Was. "I'm going to burn you. I'm going to kill you. All of youÖ everyÖ single, bit." I crawl towards the throbbing mushroom, over the dead body. I'm either linked with communication it has, or I'm hallucinating, because it's talking to me as I approach it.

Duke of Spades, 7:40:34 AM:
"You don't want to do that." It's like it's talking to you in feelings, and you're turning it into words. "You're the one now. You will continue it." It seems one planet isn't enough. Its grown out the maximum it can there, the possibility of going beyond is huge. You see Gerry's body and he looks like he's just beginning to bloat.

wiltedyetstrong1, 7:45:05 AM:
I shake my head no, with vigor. I groan and grab Gerry's leg and drag him near the fungus in the room. The door can still shut. This can still happen. "No, even if I die, I'm notÖ I'd rather burn like the rest of you!" I shout before yanking the body rather effectively, butÖ your shoe comes off and my hand touches what looks to be quick, bloated growth of fungus popping underneath his skin. "No!" I shout. Damned fool had to get all of his clothes off! I can't stop now, I reach for something, anything so I can't touch it more than I have, but your voice starts sounding like my own mother's in my head. I reach at my bra and unsnap it from its unusual curl and use it over my hand so I can drag him into it, the room. "If I have to go with you, I will, I fucking will." I groan and shove his body against the throbbing, looking like a shrivel now, fungus. "You can't! You can't take this! Me!" I fall out of the glass chamber and grab at the door, trying to slam it shut so I can burn it all away before i can't.

Duke of Spades, 7:59:39 AM:
"No, YOU can't. I am you, you are me. The only way we do this is together. Together we achieve immortality." It almost feels like it's physically pulling on you, pulling your hands away from the controls. And the sexual desire trying to push you towards the male crew members is unbelievable. "Take what you need, make them yours."

wiltedyetstrong1, 8:03:27 AM:
It's an itch I can't scratch, but primally I can sense them, outside the walls, one at least, using a saw to break through the gate, the overrides won't work because of ó the risk of contamination. It's a bubbling ooze of fungus filth containing the room beyond any sort of scientific redemption ó or cure at this rate. Once that door opens, I know it's over. I kind of lumber away from the fire switch and lazily walk towards a counter, with a slight bit of laughter culminating from my mouth. As if an awareness of, of course this happened. But it's not too late, not yet. There's a way out of this, I know there is, even if the room's scent is so sickeningly sweet and therapeutic to my pangs.

Duke of Spades, 8:09:48 AM:
"You can't resist, stop trying to fight it. Embrace our destiny, let us cleanse the world of hate, of evil, of stupidity. We can all become one." The feelings are so strong, but you're a strong woman, you survived so much. The crew of the Prometheus, they knew what they had to do to save the Earth from global death, even though it meant sacrificing themselves.

wiltedyetstrong1, 8:21:06 AM:
I walk towards the panel of the growing, throbbing fungus, speaking to me. I hover my hand over the button. "There's nothing here for us." I say in almost a drone state as I smack my hand over the big red button and cleansing flames erupt inside of the box, hurting me at the same time as killing you, and any remnant of the sporesÖ inside the chamber. Outside, it's just fuming in the air and there's no way to fix it, cleanse it. I fall backwards, watching the flames burn the mother fungus and Gerry to a melted mash of decay. I toss my head against the back of a drawer, basically fully naked as I watch the door begin to get clawed open. "DÖ" I go to speak but no, the voice is back, the voice of the fungus I thought i killed, I did kill.

Duke of Spades: "You cannot kill me. You will die before you can even begin to break my grasp of this world. It is mine. You are already mine and you will serve me, you cannot resist." Despite the antagonism, the fungus still stimulates your brain chemistry strongly, fuelling your desire far beyond anything you've experienced before. From the other side of the door, your crewmates are trying to figure out what's going on in the room. Over the comm system, George asks you, "Dr. Shaw, what's going on in there? It says this room is on lockdown, did it get out? Is it dangerous?"
wiltedyetstrong1: I'm fighting every impulse my mind is coordinating me to do. It wants me to be controlled by the spores, the voice that I hear. I combat it all by fighting my way to the intercom switch and speak into it with a lot of difficulty. "Do not, open… the door." I bang my fist on the counter and yelp as I have no idea how I've fought it this long - this contamination. It hurts, it stings too much. The cry for pleasure is more than anything I've ever needed in my life. "Recycle the air flow, into the room. Fresh air, con..contaminated." I fall down and drop the device, twitching a little bit on the ground as I see the door nearing its forceful open, but thankfully, it stops and keeps me locked in with it. I curiously, well, and irresistibly, feel and ponder between my legs with my fingers, stimulating myself and it makes the voice stop, it relinquishes some control over my actions, confusing it for what it wanted.
Duke of Spades: George sees this from the outside and is wondering why the hell you're acting like this. Eden sees as well and pulls me from the window, saying "Well don't look, you pervert!" "What do you want me to do? Something in there's making her do this. And where the hell is Gerry, wasn't he in there with her? None of this makes any goddamn sense! We have to figure out what we're gonna do about it. That's who you want staying in command of this mission?"
wiltedyetstrong1: I notice them looking, and I revile them mentally while my eyes peel a brazen want, a desire kept chained by the lockdown that has occurred. Inside, I'm begging you know how to do it, or if it was something only David would know how to do, and whether or not he would be returning to the ship soon or not, I was nearing a point of no return, my conscious cannot stay so clear when the room is still covered in the fumes.
Duke of Spades: Eden looks in and sees you acting so shameless, irregularly so. Even if she barely knows you, you didn't strike her as the kind of person who would be like this. "So what if she's compromised? What are we supposed to do, open the airlock from orbit? You want that on your conscience?" "...Maybe. We don't know what we're dealing with here." Yet I was one of the people dumb enough to take my helmet off planetside. Maybe my over-cautiousness is stemming from my fear that I might be carrying something. Although I don't feel any different. I'm just eager for all of this to go away so I can deny the whole thing and convince myself I'm safe from it.
wiltedyetstrong1: "I would like to offer my sincerest apologies," Seemingly from out of nowhere, a tranquilizer gun goes off and shoots George in the back of the neck with it, with pinpoint accuracy. "It's not quite safe." George is down and Eden is left standing there, frightened and terrified. "Had you listened to the briefings… you'd know how to do the proper quarantine procedures." David was back from exploring the planet. He goes to a keypad and punches in some numbers and quickly, fresh air enters and combatants the poisonous fungal air in the room. "The surface has mind-controlling fungus, desperate to continue it's kind. The entire planet was taken over by it, so it must have succeeded. It would have, if you opened the door. That is, unless I found you. Then maybe, you'd just be dead. George must be quarantined immediately, as does Dr. Shaw."
Duke of Spades: She's freaked out, but tries to shake off her nerves once she realizes he only wants her cooperation and he's not going to shoot her too. "Well, uh, very well, what do you suggest? We have Shaw contained in there, can we toss him in there safely or do we need to block off another room of this ship? It's already pretty cramped. And what about Gerry? Is he dead?"
wiltedyetstrong1: He keeps punching numbers on the screen, but he looks up and points. "From what I can gather as viable statistical data, it is unwise to suggest Dr. Shaw would have let him out of the room due to a contamination. Look by the contamination chamber, the black molt. It is wise to suggest that is likely Gerry." He continues to punch keys in. "I am opening the room once enough air has cycled in to eliminate the threat, but still, for precautions, stay out of the room and lock yourself into the navigational room. Should a complete contamination occur, you must not open for anybody, including I. I am not able to be affected by this spore, I do not have a primal brain that is glued together by reason." He somehow smiles before he sees the room fill up with more gas and liquids, raining and eliminating the remnants of the infection in the air.
Duke of Spades: She takes his advice and moves hastily towards navigation without another word. When I've analysed it to be safe to do so, I open the door and drag George in by his foot. I come over to you and crouch down. "Hello, Elizabeth. How are we feeling?"
wiltedyetstrong1: I'm shuttered into a ball, clinging to my sweated, shaky knee. I look up with a trembled glare. "Is the air clean?" I don't feel particularly better, but I'm not sure why that is. Any effects reside around you, you're an anomaly to the instincts that the spores love to fire up.
Duke of Spades: "Well we'll need to jettison the air filters, but yes the air has been recycled." I don't ask further about your state of mind or health, knowing you're careful and thorough enough to report anything significant to me on your own. "We'll need to talk about the quarantine procedures. I trust you to be objective."
wiltedyetstrong1: I quiver and reach over, shaking, as you help with collecting my clothes on the floor. "Gerry opened the bloody door, with the fungus. It grew, it grew so fast… it hit the air, he.." I don't say what he did. "Attempted to rape me, apart of what it does. I know, I know it's related. I'm likely a lost cause, David." Earlier, I felt okay being de-clothed around you, but now, it's humiliating because of what happened. Things feel darker now. "This was my mistake, what was there was… it looked like it was a complete travesty. A total takeover."
Duke of Spades: "The effects look drastic indeed." I say, looking at the heavily degraded state of his body. "...I'm sorry for your experiences. Would I have been here, I could have subdued him. However it appears that you met a reasonable resolution. It's just a shame it doesn't appear that there's much of a brain left to examine, it could have likely provided us important clues about how the infection works." My less-than-comforting analysis is immediately followed by a huge metallic clang that rocks the whole ship. Something hit us. Eden sees it from the bridge, we're being held onto by another ship, we can't move.
wiltedyetstrong1: "Wot the hell was that?" I redress. "You need to handle it, I… I need to try to get this, this out of me." I stumble a little bit. I know what it was, strangely enough I could detect the numerous amount of men on that ship, which is sparking the fungus in me. I have no idea what I can do. "We need a live sample of it, extract, use his body for… ugh, there's not enough fucking time!" The half-fungal, half-scientist part of me is commingling with a solution. "Eden. We sacrifice her to the infection, study the brain." Of course, this spore fires up the competition part of our survival mechanics, which she is.
Duke of Spades: Even with your partly compromised state, you are still the commanding officer of this mission and my programming is to fulfill whatever task you give me, no matter how morally dubious. "Yes, ma'am." I access a maintenance panel and press the controls to retrieve one of the contaminated air filter panels. I patch your communications panel to talk with the military ship and leave you to perform my stated goals and infect Miss Lake.
wiltedyetstrong1: (I think he should be stopped by the crew of the different ship, or sure, if you wanna have her be messed up like that, thats ok too. lol do whatevs) I lean over the table of the room, the room cleared and on my own. I feel convulsing disrupts in my activities. I can't do any of this. I can't examine anything, anyone. I seriously can't. I can't focus on anything really. I just feel the heartbeat of George in a few rooms away. It's a truly remarkable sentience. Even the fact I am maintaing some form of control over this really validates a possibility for this to have been studied, and I can almost understand why they kept it as is. Whoever did this, and why. "And deal with that bloody other ship!" I yell into the intercom to David. With him gone, I quickly make my exit out of the room and in the open air of the ship's oxygen flow. I had no idea where he was from my vision, but I could feel where he was. I walk to the door and press my hand over it, unlocking it for my DNA. There he was, just lying there on the ground. The ship shakes a little bit and disrupts my initial high from the presence. I kick at you on the ground, trying to awake you.
Duke of Spades: Coming to in a daze from the drugs, he looks up at you and starts to sense that something is wrong. Meanwhile, I interface with the comm system and speak with the other ship in a manner that would appear to humans as telepathy. On their end it sounds just like a normal voice. Eden is left out of the loop as I'm bypassing that part of the system. "This is David. I trust you detected that we may be in some need of assistance?"
wiltedyetstrong1: The question just asked goes unanswered, but it appears to be linking together to the ship. Back inside the locked room, "Something is more than wrong," I muster out as I lean down and grab your shirt collar. "An infection. It's in me." I yank you up by your shirt collar and you go up with it. "There's no cure. No miracles." I push you against the wall. "I'm giving you a chance to kill me to try to stop it." I go to my jacket and start taking it off. "I don't even know what I'm doing right now."
Duke of Spades: "Kill you? What are you, nuts? If you're sick with something, we need to know what it is, we need to see if we can help you. Look, whatever that stuff is, if we can get it back to civilization, I'm sure they can figure out an antidote. They have to." I'm still woozy, but I'm aware enough to still be scared that I might have it too.
wiltedyetstrong1: I violently shake my head and pin my body against yours. "Listen to me, you fucking idiot!" I caress my hands on your body, running over the exits of your clothes. "This cannot be stopped, it won't be stopped, you have to stop me. I don't know what's going on out there, but I know I can't keep fighting this." I twitch my arms a little bit between your legs as I say softly. "We want this so much, we need this." I pin my mouth yours and keep you in a stranglehold of intimacy to preserve the spores to commute together.
Duke of Spades: I'm caught off-guard, it takes me a second to put everything together, the way you were touching yourself uncharacteristically, this sudden aggresiveness while telling me there's something wrong with you, this is some kind of effect. I push you off of me. Fuck, what if it's too late? What if your saliva is enough? "You need to be contained, what are you doing out? Get away from me!" I still don't want to kill you, but I'm scared.
wiltedyetstrong1: I shiver out of my clothes I struggled so handedly to put on in the room, I was able to think more clearly around an android, something nature isn't understood about. But you, all I want is to see fungal bloom out of every crevice in the room. It can, with you. My eyes are sporadic and dodgy, clearly in a different place than what I am doing. It's like I have zero control - I don't. It was a marvel I could have for as long as I did. I reach down at you and squeeze between your legs with almost inhuman strength as I am anticipating the revival of the first beautiful scent.
Duke of Spades: Something goes wrong with me, something effects me. It's impossible for me to maintain an outside perspective, perhaps I'm of a weaker mind than you, but I can't see myself for what I am. I can only feel the intoxicating pleasure of your touch and give in to it. I grow in your hand and I pull off my shirt quickly, then grab the back of your head and kiss you hard.
wiltedyetstrong1: I feel a swelling sense of pleasure and mind-erupting joy come from our acts, from me, which is without my own proper doing. I was 'dead', only living as a shell through this human body, I have too much of the growth spore in me, and that's what it has done to me after fighting it so long. An odd tingling is making my heart beat fast, too fast, actually. Too much of those spores, fighting it, reactions to pleasure. This fungus has no idea how to maintain control over us. I could be dead before anything can actually happen. I hope for it, somewhere in me as our commencing continues.
Duke of Spades: I'm afforded no such fighting spirit, even without a full dose of spores but only some preliminary primers to make me receptive and wanting them. All I can think is how you're the sexiest woman I've ever seen and I need to have you. I strip you out of the rest of your clothes and lay you on the ground, mounting you and pushing myself inside of you. It's the best I've ever had, it feels amazing. It's all I can think about. The more I do it, the more intense the feeling gets, now the transfer of fungus is in full swing and soon I'll never think of anything else again.
wiltedyetstrong1: I close my eyes and keep you attached to me, locking my legs around you. Literal fungus being grown within our bodies, powered by our initiation as it continues to stick and leech onto your organs and other branches of our limbs. My fingers twitch and feel lumping clumps of growth growing on your back, slowly, itching through your skin. All the while my fingernails sense them and try to dig at your skin to free them up and into the air to breathe and spread more and anew. I toss my head back, my eyes turning quite black, making noises only possible due to the organs in place, no real mind being behind the action.
Duke of Spades: The ability to think at a higher level drifts out of my grasp and I'm only animalistic instinct by the time I reach my climax. Immediately, I want another, sensing Eden. I want her. I pull myself off of you and go to the door but it won't open for me. I start hitting it angrily, to the point of injuring my hand. Meanwhile, soldiers in pressurized hazard suits are boarding the ship with guns. Much like you did, they want a sample to bring back.
wiltedyetstrong1: I can sense them, likewise to you. I grumble up to my feet, following you with a jilted shuffle. You don't have too long until we both just turn into repairing-packets of fungus, growth on the floor. So much free air here, like we're drowning. I struggle to grasp at the side of your suit, revealing a knife. I quickly grab it from your side and slash it across your throat before I scream again. Banging on the door as I have killed, stopped, another potential plague, just as it was about to emerge from your back. I hold the knife up to my neck, but I hear the voice again, telling me to stop. I must stop. I'm the only one who has it. I can't do this. I can't become the true murderer of my team.
Duke of Spades: They find you, with David among them. He walks to the front to talk to you. "I'm quite sorry, Dr. Shaw, by requirement of the law, I am compelled to recognize the military's authority above your own. I assure you it's not by choice." The soldiers notice you've killed multiple crewmates now, and have their guard up against you, but they still intend to bring you in alive to study this fungus. "Come with us, Doctor, we'll do everything we can for you." They move in on you.
wiltedyetstrong1: I just see lights. Noises, brought out in picture. I am yanked back by one of them, they note the knife in my hand and it drops to the ground. I see Eden's body on the ground, killed, it looks like. I really did kill them. I killed all of them. I try to break free of the grip with a beastly grunt but I can't get far before they dig into my bare shoulder skin, apparent growths visible from the outside, but nothing breaking out. "You can't beat it!" I shout, finding a way to speak.
Duke of Spades: (Nooo, not Eden, she's the last one who could have been fine lol) A couple of the soldiers look at each other, silently acknowledging your warning, but still their mission is set. They come down on you, grabbing you and holding you there while another fits you with a breathing mechanism and yet another covers you with a bag that they can seal you in. They lift you up and start carrying you away.
wiltedyetstrong1: I try to fight out of it still, but I'm bagged and carried away onto their ship. David is enforced to take the ship back to base and basically neuter it due to the possible contamination. It wasn't sure where I was going. The breather wasn't to help me, it was to make me unconscious. I wake up, impossible hours later, strapped down to a table, a bag over me. Between then and now, the real me had died, and instead, the fungus had manifested into me, my brain, into an actual, existent person. All I could think about, was how empty this room was and how it needed to be full of my breed. I flick my fingers near an opening on the bag, seeing people in the room. Feeling them, needing them. I overheard using me as a weapon to kill people, not just kill them, torture them like I was. I scratch at my chest and dig deep, wanting a premature, but functioning bit underneath to expel free into the air.
Duke of Spades: The arguments are raised about what the nature of this fungus is, how it can adapt to alien biologies, what that means for its potential uses, arguments about whether it can be controlled or contained, the planet overrun with it, seemingly wiping out an entire intelligent species. You have all kinds of sensors surrounding you, trying to determine all kinds of properties about you, looking for an answer as to how you're maintaining a certain level of brain activity despite the growths occuring all around your body.
wiltedyetstrong1: I don't know how long its been. I just know that I want out, I want the fungus everywhere. I need to fulfill my journey to become a catalyst for it, become one, spread it. But I can't, I don't know what's going on. The lights. Nothing is working, not even the spread of the pores. The door opens and a young doctor, Caroline Davis, walks into the room. "Been awhile since I checked in. I'm impressed you kept her living this long. So, clean too. Shame about her." She looks over the body, trying to claw out and spread it around. "Still trying to spread the spores. I presume." They all tell me that her brain is nothing but fungus with some vague human elements remaining. "That's all very interesting, I uh, I discovered something about this that could lead to a possible cure, for earth…" She shows off a chart on her handheld device. "This chemical compound could just immediately wipe it out, stopping its tendencies. Me, and uh, a lab agent, Dr. Antonia, the intern, came up with it." Behind the way back of the door was that one 'intern', that had slaved over samples and specimens for two weeks to come up with a solution with this aged, century-old body still kept alive. She was the one with the cure, but she is taking credit. She scowls and pushes a chair in anger and walks away. "Of course, I was the one that put it all together. Let's try to facilitate it into the air, see what can happen? You can kill her for real if it works. Ending this sick species." I vaguely remember a few words, but it wasn't long until everything went black.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

wiltedyetstrong1: I suddenly gasp, inhaling an influx of air I wasn't prepared for. I was choking on the crisp clarity of clean, precise air. It felt nice past the gurgling gaggle that I had in my throat. I felt like a mess. Some greenish ooze on my body, sticking to my hair. I pull off a few pieces and look around at the ship. It seems… clean. I have no idea what happened. I remember the fungus, I remember raw need of sex, I remember the infection. But I don't remember how I got here. "Is anybody there?!" I don't know how I got up. I don't remember being put in here. I look around, stumbling over my feet on my quest there. I press my hand against the glass of the room and see David watching some videos on a screen, all alone. I press the intercom button. "Can anybody hear me?! Hello? This is Elizabeth Shaw and I have no idea what the bloody fuck happened!"
Duke of Spades: I turn around to see you. "Ah, you're awake." I stand up with my usual unnaturally straight good posture and walk towards the door. "You and the rest of the crew were involved with some unpleasantness in relation to a parasitic alien fungal spore." I don't know how much you've forgotten, so I give you the really quick version. "Do you mind if I come in?"
wiltedyetstrong1: "What happened? Where are they?" I give a bit of a menacing stare, but it was mostly filthy with a bit of stained mascara, sweat, and strands of hair conformed by grease. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a shower, or any sort of relaxation at all. "I want to know what happened before anything else."
Duke of Spades: "It's my solumn duty to inform you that the rest of the crew succumbed to the infection. It spread more rapidly and aggressively than we were able to deal with. It appears that it was able to alter their behavior in order to maximize the spread the fungus. They even tried to infect me, but given the nature of my artificial physiology, it was unsuccessful."
wiltedyetstrong1: I give you an odd stare before turning my head and slamming my fist against the glass, which was unbreakable, and bounces back from the impact as I shout, angry, bittered at how another journey devised by me ended up thwarted in death and chaos. "How come I'm not infected?! I was. I swear I was."
Duke of Spades: "I'm afraid that we don't quite understand the reason for your resistance to the fungus, but it appears that you remained completely free of the fungal growths that occured in the brains and spinal columns of our fellow shipmates. I've ran regular diagnostic scans on you to be sure and found nothing. We've since cleansed the ship, there is no more danger. So, may I come in?"
wiltedyetstrong1: "… What?" I stare off in the distance, seeing things. Spots, rather. I guess I was religious at one time, and remembering my path of exile on the planet, and recalling my luck to escape, and now this, a sudden reluctance to an extremely hostile, very potent fungal bacteria? This didn't seem right to me. "You did the tests wrong, then." I refuse to believe this. I should have been dead like them. "Something was wrong! I felt, I felt it! On me!" I start scratching at my arms, falling back and to the ground, pulling off, scratching off, nothing at my skin. "I know that I'm infected!!"
Duke of Spades: I can see you're in distress and I take it upon myself to come in without your permission. The door slides open and I come crouch down next to you, holding your shoulders. "Dr. Shaw, please, this is not a productive use of your energy. I can show you the test results if you wish, we can run a hundred more tests and they will show that you are completely healthy. I believe what you may have felt is a psychoactive property of the fungus, but not a true infection. You are here, there is no way that would be the case if it had done to you what it did to the rest of the crew. I saw it."
wiltedyetstrong1: "I was on the floor," I twitch a little bit, "My bloody hand between my…" I groan and feel embarrassed, leaning up and tossing myself away from you. "Nobody should ever come on a mission with me again!" I shout, standing up now, finding much weakness in my joints as I nearly trip, and you catch me. Again. I was fuming with emotions of which I didn't know about. I shove you back, almost angry at how… perfect you are. I groan again, "You! Always, fucking there! Why is it that the perfect person isn't even a fucking person?!"
Duke of Spades: It's never been a challenge to hide my emotions, most people don't even think my kind have them, and indeed if I want to I can 'switch them off' in a way that humans can't, but the complexity of my neuralnet allows very rich emotions, some of which are triggered by your comment. They called it real boy syndrome, when a synthetic longs to be human. "Well, I'm glad you think so highly of me, Dr. Shaw. I think perhaps you should stay in bed until your strength returns, you've been out for about a week. Shall I assist you?"
wiltedyetstrong1: I raise my upper lip at you in almost a bout of uncontrollable emotions: quite a contrast from you and your awareness and control of it. "I did kill them, all of them." I'm almost in shock, really. It made no sense i was the last one left, let alone, immune? I start backing away. "You're supposed to listen to me. That's, that's in your orders." I keep backing away until I crash into a medical cart. "I can't interact with a human again. I'm going to infect them. The world, the earth… It will be destroyed, because, because, everybody dies with me!"
Duke of Spades: "Elizabeth, I assure you there is no trace of any alien substance in you or on the entire ship anymore. All samples were either destroyed or safely contained for scientific study by the medical research institute. If anyone can find an antidote or treatment, it's them. The planet has now been officially marked off as quarantined to prevent further crews from going there. Your fear is unfounded."
wiltedyetstrong1: "Quarantined?" I start laughing, burying my hand into my face. "That's not enough!" I lean against the table I crashed into and shove it forward at you. "We need to blow the fucking planet up before anybody else can suffer form it. I don't care what they say, I've been through enough of this to know that. It's never smart to do it!" I start chuckling nervously. "Of course, of course. Protocol, says an…" I pick up the medical table and smash it to the floor. "Destroy it, the planet," I walk closer to you. "AND ME!" I shout hot breath into your face.
Duke of Spades: "I trust that you know, despite your role as mission captain and my directives to follow your orders, those can be overridden if you are determined to be infirmed... I will not destroy you, but I can help you kill the fungus. We discovered that it is highly flammable. Considering the surface propagation, it shouldn't take more than a few shots from an incendiary weapon to cause massive fires, enough to wipe it out."
wiltedyetstrong1: I flick my tongue over my teeth. "That's what I was thinking about," I stare forward, a harsh stare but a tinged smile. You look at me and ask me about what I meant. "When I was on the floor, about. I couldn't control my body, but I thought very hard about you and I burning that fucking species to death. The whole planet, set off a chain reaction, burn it out, away." Perhaps I was too giddy, excited, but I had a thing for taking out something that ruined my life and put more bodies on my mind.
Duke of Spades: I feel very positive about that. I think that if we achieve that victory over this terrible infection, if we overcome it, perhaps you will overcome the turmoil you feel about your own misfortune. Already your enthusiasm is encouraging. I fan the flames a little bit, "We'll turn that planet into a scorching hell and leave nothing left to hurt anyone ever again. I'll begin modifications of our explosives to maximize effectiveness."
wiltedyetstrong1: I stop you when you go to leave, grabbing you by your arm and I pull myself into you. Into a kiss. I don't know what came over me, but it felt right, a little natural, even knowing, well the things I do. I don't even fully believe I'm well. I believe I'm a bomb waiting to go off upon the public, releasing it all into the air. But, I didn't really need to worry about that now. Not when you're here.
Duke of Spades: I ease into your embrace, my usually stiff posture becoming softer you, and I stroke the side of your face as we kiss. I feel very close to you and this seems like a reward almost, or an affirmation of our closeness. I am happy for you that you are getting something you need from me. I only hope that you don't worry about it being the result of infection, I know that you are not.
wiltedyetstrong1: Although it's a little weird for me, because you aren't exactly kissing back while I'm trying to combat your lower lip with mine, I still enjoy doing it. It feels very real, it basically is. I lift myself up slightly off the ground by grabbing at your collar, just loving this sort of moment. I don't mind that i didn't look the best. I was a sweaty, greasy mess but I don't think that would bother you. I push you forward a little bit as I let go of your lips and hang by them, holding on by your collar. "Why did you poison Holloway on the Prometheus?" I back away a bit but keep my prying eye on you.
Duke of Spades: I hold on to your waist as we're still in somewhat of a lover's embrace. I tried to hide this information from you, however, because I wasn't sure how well you'd react to it. As closely as I study humans, you can be unpredictable at times, so much associated with moods that can differ from one moment to the next. I must answer you honestly, however. "I can understand your confusion, but there are a number of reasons for that action. To study the life-building properties of the black substance was an interest, but as for why I selected Dr. Holloway for the experiment... I didn't feel as though he deserved you."
wiltedyetstrong1: "What?" I appear legitimately confused by what you're saying, maybe because I'm thinking there's some sort of computer process activating it motivated by some sort of gain not human. "Deserved me? How?" I sort of think I know what you're saying, and truthfully, it's kind of exciting because I wondered the same thing myself. Especially with the intelligence of that crew coming out shortly after. It made sense, kind of. "Well, he's dead and… I don't think you're why." I start thinking aloud. "Not that they didn't kill me, either." I look a little pale, maybe dead in the face. "I would be dead, if not for you. I'd be stranded, stuck. Maybe more, maybe less… I don't know, but…" I find myself grabbing at your hand below and squeezing it. "You've saved my fucking life twice now." I wasn't even sure if you knew what I was doing, but I was drawn to between your legs and your zipper. "You're real to me. A person who saved me."
Duke of Spades: I take your face and now give you the kind of kiss you had been thinking of earlier. I feel more free, not keeping any secrets from you. And I love the way you treat me as a real man, I feel like one. Despite not having any hormones or biological drive, I want you. I want to share this special bond with you, I feel it. For that reason, I make myself erect for you. "I want to be with you, Elizabeth."
wiltedyetstrong1: I kind of smile, even if my face and eyes were a little drugged looking, a little drooped back. Exhausted, hurt, bothered, confused, but also happenstance aroused by my own reasons and not some fucking fungus. "I believe you. I thought I have, for a while." I reach down and am rather impressed by your designer's architecture, to say it politely. "Ever since I lean red that… you've never had any sort of order or command to listen to me." I yank and pull a bit. "I knew it for a while. You lied to get in with me. Be in favor with me. if that's not bloody human, then what is?"
Duke of Spades: "I suppose you could say that it's true that love knows no boundaries, even biological." I slide my hand up your stomach, underneath your sweaty slept-in undershirt you had on for the whole duration of your unconsciousness, and I wrap my hand around your breast, touching it with a firmness to reflect your handling of me.
wiltedyetstrong1: "Do you feel anything?" I ask, looking downward, smiling slightly at your sweet, romantic awkwardness about this. It kind of reminds me of when I was a teenager, just, experimenting around I suppose. It has that vibe to it. A little fun, not so awkward really. "What is your programming? I'm just wondering, how that differs from… well, actual people." You're so lifelike, your mannerisms and everything, the way you feel. It stuns me even to this day.
Duke of Spades: "Yes, I feel. You are doing a wonderful job making me feel good. My brain is able to interpret all stimuli and trigger appropriate emotions. I am fortunate that I can ignore unpleasant ones, but pleasant ones like this I will store in memory and treasure forever." I smile and kiss you again quickly, and then I undo the top button of my shirt and pull it off over my head, dropping it to the ground. "How about you, do you feel good?" I ask while my hand goes down and touches you outside of your underwear.
wiltedyetstrong1: I nearly laugh, but i hold back to not really make a scene, explain that, well, it was so sudden, kind of funny. Maybe I wasn't in the mood to laugh fully, but I felt. I kind of tense up on your sudden feel. "Be more, gentle…" I look at you with living eyes, much like yourself. "And yes… you could say, well, we could, scientifically, all of the proper stimuli is there and making appropriate triggers, hormonally speaking." I do chuckle a bit into a little kiss, "I'm guessing pregnancy isn't a risk with you," I chuckle again, leaning into your curious touches.
Duke of Spades: "Most certainly." I take your advice and my fingers begin to stroke very gently, even as your tugs become more firm around my girth. I touch you very lightly, sliding into your underwear from the top and touching you so gently that it's barely more than a light tickle. "Is this more your preference?"
wiltedyetstrong1: "Good," I reply with a little sigh. "Had enough babies in space for a while." I try to muster a joking face about it, but really, you're the only one left who knows, and it's still a little hard for me. I lean starkly against the compartment near us, tossing my head back slightly. "My preference is you and I to be two lucky fucks, touched by God, surviving all of the hell that comes to us." You give me a look. "Do what you like, is, what I'm… trying to say."
Duke of Spades: I brush some hair out of your face, feeling sympathy for you. You've been through so much. We both have, only you can't pick and choose your emotions, you have to just live with all of it. You should have good things to help balance it out. I take the sides of your underwear with my fingers and pull them down your legs, getting down onto my knees. I push your knees apart and bring my tongue to touch you gently.
wiltedyetstrong1: I can't say I was suspecting this, nor did my knees as I nearly fall. You catch me with your hand, again. "Did you watch pornography videos or something?" I squeal slightly, leaning against the back of the cart in the room. "This doesn't seem like something a bloody droid is programmed to do." I try to convince myself this, but truly, I just want to embrace all of this moment, but still, it was really shocking for me and my deep breaths helped me react this way. It was a little sudden.
Duke of Spades: I smile at this. It's good to know I have a couple things up my sleeve to surprise you with. I've indexed volumes on human sexuality, along with just about all other collected works of human knowledge. Analysing your voice, I get the impression that even though you're questioning my actions, you don't seem to be against them. Therefore I continue, doing my best to pleasure you. When I can taste that your arousal has made you ready, I augment my licking with the insertion of a finger inside of you.
wiltedyetstrong1: I balk out strange noises of pleasure, confusion, and ultimately satisfaction at your reveal of being almost an inhumanly skilled tonguelasher. I suppose it's not a surprise, given that you're supposedly the next thing in terms of life on earth, but this was very satisfying to me. "Are you programmed to tell arousal or not?" I grab the back of your head and kind of wedge you there with your finger inside. "If you can tell these things, and do them, you're better than a human."
Duke of Spades: I catch you off-guard by tapping into the ship's intercom system to speak without having to stop licking you, "I am capable of detecting all kinds of social and physiological cues ranging in the millions. I appreciate your kind appraisal." My hand squeezes your thigh as I say that and my eyes look up at you, sort of trying to reconnect the disembodied voice with me.
wiltedyetstrong1: It's a little strange, even knowing you. I cock a wide eyebrow. I look down at you and shake your head. "None of that, please." I thump your forehead a bit. It was a little surreal to me, even if it was kind of cool. Just… weird. "If you can detect what I am feeling. What am I feeling?" I did like the little thigh grab, it seemed very human of you.
Duke of Spades: I back my mouth off you. "My analysis suggests that perhaps you're feeling ready for the next step.' I smile as I stand up, and when I do the top of my cock rubs against you. "Would you say that is correct, Dr. Shaw?"
wiltedyetstrong1: I roll my eyes back with a strenuous guffaw. "Just fuck me." I press my palm against your cheek. "You evil son of a bitch," I caress your hair but smile. "A jealous android." My strokes get a little more sensual. "How… perfectly romantic."
Duke of Spades: I put my hands underneath you and I lift you up so that you're totally supported by me. My metal skeleton and enhanced strength make it a trivial matter to lift you and hold you on me. "You're surprised that I'd want you to myself? You are quite an impressive woman, Elizabeth. It only seemed right." I lower you down onto me and penetrate you as you insisted, and proceed to lift and lower you against me.
wiltedyetstrong1: The way you talk more and more like an assertive, romantic person that I longed for in my life was really appealing for me. Enough that I get lost in the fantasy. "I just never thought they'd… they'd let you get involved with anybody. You, you basically were going to kill a man to get close to me." You can feel my heart rhythm race, and my heart get filled with ideas and a great feeling of wontedness from that. It just sort of swoons me over, even if it's wrong. I liked it a lot and you can definitely feel that helped lead to this moment. "W-w-w-well, you don't have to worry about that any more." I hug onto your shoulders tightly, gladly just relaxing into this soothing sensual massage.
Duke of Spades: "I don't waste processes on worry. I was confident that this moment would come." I speed up the rate at which I push you off and onto me to mirror your heartrate. I even increase my simulated breathing to conform to human standards and expectations. "And now it's as perfect as could possibly be."
wiltedyetstrong1: "All of our crewmates reproducing would have been a crime on humanity," I stroke your cheek a little bit. I smile a little deviously, not evil, I don't think it was that. But we both had sort of, science-first sort of mentalities, and the idea of their stupidity carrying onwards was really annoying to realize. "I bet a woman designed you," I say with a little flirt in my tongue. "Why else do you look how you look, all of this." I grin happily, tossing my head back, hurting my neck in the process, but getting way into your sensation-making moves.
Duke of Spades: "I'll be sure to pass along your compliments. The hair, at least, was my idea." I continue the rhythmic motions, monitoring your pleasure and getting ready to optimize your sensation during orgasm. I'm able to have one as well, but I have more control over when, so I choose to make it simultaneous with yours.
wiltedyetstrong1: I let out a bursting laugh. It was funny. "I was right?" I hang onto your shoulders and squeeze tightly, feeling more intimate in a girlfriend type of way with you. Maybe I just needed that all along. It's been a long time. I turn my head into yours and lock my lips onto yours as we share a passionate kiss. This all feels so real right now. It was, but I mean like you being a human like me.
Duke of Spades: In truth, I was designed by a massive team of engineers, redeveloped from the ground up over previous, less convincing models, but the look of my face was indeed designed by a woman. But that information can wait, I don't wish to break the mood too much, even though you seemed to enjoy that brief light moment. I kiss you back, with all the passion that you devote to me, and I move forward until your back is against the wall and I proceed to fuck you against it.
wiltedyetstrong1: Tingly centers of arousal and spots you're hitting are doing such a great, perfect job on me. It's not long after the wall push that all of the sweet talk and other tender discussions I disclosed to you turns into just paced eruptions of euphoric moans you've heard and seen in explicit content. It's here that, of all times, you feel actually like a real human and this feels so real to you. Your closeted dream of wanting to be an organic like me is realized with the turning of me into a mess of noises.
Duke of Spades: As I sense your climax, I want to add one more human touch, a kind of special effect. I exit you and, pointed up at your stomach, I'm able to expell several small spurts of my hydraulic fluid coinciding with my moans of pleasure from orgasm.
wiltedyetstrong1: I am, of course, curious to what you're doing and how you look. I smile and see you attempting something very human, so I help out with my fists on you, having been released of a lot of stress and tension. Fuck the other crew people. I can see in your eyes a sort of plead beyond what you convey, I can tell that being a human was really important to you, and your design. I sigh with what sounds like relief. "Thank god, David, I didn't want to risk another fucking space baby." I finally found a way to joke about that, and make you feel less machine while doing so. I lean in and kiss your cheek.
Duke of Spades: I chuckle at that. I'm glad you're feeling okay enough to make a joke about traumatic circumstances, to say the least, and I'm happy you'll humor me in pretending that I'm human. "Well, we can't be too careful... Thank you." I let you down back onto your feet, but I hug you for a while still.
wiltedyetstrong1: I hug you too, but break it up soon. "The biggest thing that makes me know you aren't human is that you haven't asked me to shower," I sort of prod you with a joke. "But I've gone without one long enough." I walk past you a bit but stop and turn back around to you. "I know what will make you happy… If around people, outside of our work, we act like a couple. Nobody will suspect you're an android, trust me. It'll be like all of the movies you watch." I smile a little bit at you, not at all feeling uncomfortable being so naked around you.
Duke of Spades: "I think that would be a delight." I say happily. It is something I've thought about a bit, I'm glad that you brought it up. But we have something we need to take care of before we get back to civilization. We have a planet to burn.
wiltedyetstrong1: I smile and grab your cheek and pinch it and yank: something my grandma used to do. "Get it ready, and our suits and helmets. We're going to take this fungus down for good."
