1[15:21:32] Ella wouldn't leave Nostvale on her own normally, but it seems the small pings of jealousy she felt towards Ophrem and Alia would have her forgetting the rules somewhat as she made her way past the gates egg cradled in her arms as she moved, making her way into the prairie...

3She debated going to the pool like before and perhaps thinking on she feels but she would think Ophrem would show up and the talk would be one she didn't like so she would just find a flat area, one where the grass blew through lightly as she would sit, the egg cradled in her arms the size of a medium sized watermelon as there were obvious heat emanating from her hands and arms to keep the egg incubated.

5But she did make a big exit from her home so she doubts someone from her family wouldn't be too far behind but for now she sits and just thinks, not paying much attention for now.

Red flags would emerge as the girl would simply leave the confines of the home with very little provided to the family.

11As such the mother would stubbornly stalk her child through the city. A good distance was kept from the two to avoid any awkward confrontation. Eventually, it'd be clear that Ella would opt for a more defiant behavior as she made her way out of the city without any guardian around with her. Evidently, the Avaline was not pleased by this.

13At this point, the mother hen chased down her straying cub until eventually catching up with the tranquil girl. She had been silent, possibly indulging in solitude.

17If the footsteps weren't enough to warn her, this certainly would be. The doctor stood stiff, hands on her hips and blue optics piercing the teenager's soul. Mommy was not very happy.

21Probably not the best idea to be this close to Nostvale, either. However, whatever the case! Dumuzid was no sort of coward. So long as he wasn't under the blade of a knife directly, Nostvale wasn't all that bad - not usually, anyways. Hauk Fildegarde and Magnus Brakkacia remained as its fearsome guardians, but, regardless of that fact, the Kaor Lord of the Citadel doubted they'd enforce his ban as far out as here in the prairie. It was vacant, even just a mile beyond the gate of the city: devoid of much other than grass, this was certainly quite the surprise.

23Seeing Charlie Avaline and Ella du Lac together, alone, was strange.

25They'd been members of the Nostvalen community prior to his ban, and it seemed they were still quite the proactive members, if they remained in that city's confines all these years. Eagle-akin eyes unfocused from the pair, and he instead utilized his potent lightning magic to close the distance, unintending to remain half a mile off and merely observing. He was quite the tactile Yokai, after all! He enjoyed combat as a result of its almost conversation-like interactions. He enjoyed meeting new people because.. well, in truth, it proffered a new opportunity to learn, as well as an opportunity to grow.

27In an instant, Dumuzid was no longer atop one of the many cliff-like plateaus of the prairie grasslands, but instead presenting his twenty feet of height to the pair themselves-- his entirety appearing in less than a split-second. Shocking, perhaps - pun wholesomely intended as his lightning splashed unto the grass around him. A ring of char formed, deeply ingraining itself into the dirt around Dumuzid's feet! And, as scarlet-red eyes turned to the stronger of the two, the Kaor Lord's focus regained its concentration upon the green-hatted woman. "Why hello," he uttered, his voice tinged with halved excitement and intrigue alike. "I didn't expect a surprise like this. Nostvalens infrequently leave the comfort of their walls..."

31[15:44:35] Ella would look up to her mother as she was here as she would just frown and look downwards as her mother was quite upset at her as she would just have the slight quiver of the lip. "Im sorry mom..." It seems she didn't want to share why she was here but it also seems that she wouldn't have the time either.

33The appearance of the yokai was quite menacing and something she did not expect, as she would feel the electricity flowing around the area, she didn't like it much because of water manifestation lightning sucked when she would get a surprising shock so shocking was the least of it as she would look up at the large creature as it question why they are here but she would just have a simple question on her mind.

37Perhaps not the most appropriate question to be asking seeing that she didn't even answer its but it was something that was gnawing at her mind all the same as her grip on the egg would tightened slightly as she would look towards her mother.

Charlie had no idea what was going on with the teenager, and it seemed Ella was not really trying to justify herself. Though before Charlie could even begin to formulate any form of enquiry or even comforting words, the hulking entity of lightning and vile darkness had made its stunning appearance.

41Charlie's reaction wouldn't be as surprised as most would be. Not only did the woman brace herself thanks to auditory cues she could harness via her particular magic, but she herself was a powerful lightning magi. It'd come to no surprise that she could sniff out such an approach.

43Nonetheless, the woman's eyes did show anxiety, at first. But her body language did not show flinching, and actually, she'd be quite adamant -stiff. Standing before her daughter as a guardian would, she'd directly confront the monstrous Yokai that had made his appearance here of all places. Standing her ground she had no intention of cowering and leaving her daughter vulnerable.

47A solemn, monotone voice. She recognized that being, the one that Magnus had plowed down in Nostvale. The being that had become a world menace by not only being banned from Nostvale but also attacking the Wychwood. A peculiar being, one that fascinated Charlie, as she herself had taken interest in the Yokai condition.

49Did she fear for her life? Yes, and even moreso for her daughter. But at the same time, she did not expect things to end here. No, the Yokai's words were not like Squiggles'. As threatening as the inquiry sounded, Charlie suspected a crisis could be averted with reason. Hopefully she'd be right.

51"The better question is what are you doing so close to Nostvale? I can simply mention the abundance of herbs growing in these parts. My profession does make use of those on a regular basis~"

However, as for his aforementioned Occultism..? Well, it's damn near choking for those unattuned with the element of evil. His figure, despite not being as evolved to handle that as he it was for lightning, seemed to spread it like a plague across the nearby grasslands. It was a prime example of a Kaor Lord at their prime, and it was similarly easy to say just how overstuffed he was with power. Having just been denied the consumption of Lara Kien and her kin and claiming that incredible relief...

60Well, Dumuzid wasn't exactly at his happiest.

62However, it didn't impact his focus. His concentration was higher than ever, what with such a huge potency at his fingertips - one that, mind, he'd never felt before. "I am glad to see you know of me, then," he proclaims gleefully! It's a fake, hollow glee, but it's evident nonetheless upon the visage of that Zeus-Kaor. As static electricity exhumes itself from his bluish innards, the surroundings become utterly laden with ozone, oxygen catalyzing into its heavier consort by way of contact with Dumuzid's energy-dense lightning. It's the smell that follows a thunderstorm - yet in a quantity that can suffocate in an enclosed space.

64A rusty scent, almost like Dumuzid carries with him a trailing glow of electricity regardless of whether or not his magic is utilized.

66"And I do suppose your question is the better suited one indeed." He chuckles somberly - yet again, even one poorly attuned with human emotion and gestures could say it was a faux effort indeed. Dumuzid had learned much from observing humanity, as he had with interacting with them, too; but mimicking them was not something he could easily achieve. "While I'm banned, though - this is rather far out, isn't it? Magnus Brakkacia and Hauk Fildegard watch over this city like a pair of ravenous hawks, ready to tear out my throat for fun or other purposes at the drop of a hat."

Strong as they might be, they are not omnipotent," Dumuzid utters aloud, his verbal vocals utilized rather than a more telepathic effort. The latter is.. shocking to most, usually. Not worth using if he seeks to not spook these random strangers, truly. "As for what I desire: nothing! Nothing but knowledge, anyways. I wish to consult with humanity once again. I believe my shortcomings might be due to overconfidence; heinous underestimation of the enemy, yes?"

76It's not really a name she knew but it must be important as her mother knew it, but she did not know a lick about the yokai since grandpa didn't say anything about him so she probably assumes that he hopes that she never meet it... But if that was the case that would be tough for him since he was standing there in all the ozone smelling glory.

78Her mother looked like she could draw her sword at the drop of a hat so it put Ella a little bit on edge but would listen to the talk back and forth until something surprising would happen.... the large creature would address her and perhaps ask the same question that her mother would ask....

80But she didn't know why, perhaps it was the large creature not attacking them right away, it meant there was some sort of reason in its mind and it made her somewhat comfortable, kinda like a giant; lightning uncle she could feel safe in talking to.

82"I guess I was jealous of someone having something that it seems I won't have... and I left town to think alone without the influence of others on my mind." She chose her words carefully, speaking slowly and raking her mind for a complex but effective way to explain how she was feeling.

84But perhaps the yokai wasn't even talking about why she left town and just her methods of everything and to that she would be closed lipped as she wouldn't know how to explain that in a short time.

86[16:25:32] How foul this Yokai was. They all were, but this one was an embodiment of power and brutality. How she'd love to get a look inside of that thing. But, this wasn't Squiggles. Dumuzid was no thrall, no he spoke quite eloquently without any tics that could prompt any form of repulsion. Quite the contrary, he'd seem eerily and unnaturally human in his speech. Charlie did not know what to think of this in the slightest.

88But it kept a coherent plot, and that reassured her, to an extent. Nonetheless, the overall reasoning left to be desired.

Frowning heavily, Dumuzid's ruse of glee was thrown to the side, and his Occultism would briefly spike into a huge mound-- smoke-like darkness collecting around his figure like some sort of barrier between his chitin and the outside world. "Oh. Your father?", Dumuzid notes, reeling back as if he's smelled something awful. His face visibly scruches up despite the item being largely solid chitin-- it's practical metal yet it still bends at the thought.

149The Kaor Lord obviously doesn't have a great set of memories with Magnus Brakkacia, and it looks like the threat of him coming over and stepping on Dumuzid is probably one of very few things keeping him from going berserk. He growls lowly, like a hound remembering an owner that once beat it - scarlet-red eyes flare as well, and he can't help but find it infuriating that Ella's grandfather and Charlie's father still exists as a protector of Nostvale. The moment this town's guardians fall to age.. well. It'd be a field day for Dumuzid, that much was for sure. "It's-- " He pauses, collecting himself. His words are growled through clenched teeth. "-- Unfortunate, yes. Their death would have made my ascension considerably more speedy."

151"But, you know. SOMETIMES you have these obnoxious individuals that step on you and step on you and step on you and they just won't DIE." Dumuzid groans furiously, and the pressure of his boot pushing into the dirt below can't help but shake the ground nearby. He does his best in this fit of momentary anger to control himself for the sake of the threat that Magnus Brakkacia poses to his existence, but it likely keeps him just barely 'off the radar' - Yokai aren't famed for their anger management abilities, after all. Brushing himself off, the Occultic barriers fall lamely to the ground around his feet.

Risky, to be sure, though Dumuzid, with an increased sense of arguably 'humanity', preferred finer meals over the likes of Squiggles and his wriggling mass of poisonous tendrils. In truth, that was likely why he'd survived so long - the mere fact that eating him was such a distasteful thought... Even to Yokai, of all people. Or, well, of all monsters, perhaps.

608Though the Giga knew not of the proper names of their ranks, one clearly radiated with the power beyond that of the other, and to that extent, the glowing antannae of the sludge turned to 'stare' at the green Elemental. Approaching the Yokai and allowing a 'roar' of sorts, sound projected by the oozes vibrating rapidly--- toward the one it was clearly challenging.

He feels a bit bad, even, provided it'd been named so awfully - but it's not enough to make up for all of his stupidity. It was beyond just stupid, actually, but actual, genuine idiocy. How did he manage such an incredible, baffling level of moronic behavior? Dumuzid couldn't be sure, but whatever the case, even with his lightning and Occultic potencies at their lowest he's ever put them in an arguably 'genuine' battle, the poisonic Yokai didn't stand as much of a challenge.

He wasn't one to relish sadism and revel in cruelty. He said what he wanted, and if he didn't get it, he made sure he did - not that hard to understand! And, stepping forward to abruptly rend one arm from the torso of Squiggles, Dumuzid shoves it down his own maw - which, in comparison, is probably five or six times the width of the limb of Malkuth's. In an instant, it vanishes from sight, and as Dumuzid shovels further meat into his mouth, it's clear he hopes to devour the corpses of the lesser Yokai his own lesser had summoned forth.
