4As the group finished up their final task in town and readied to leave half the town came out to  wave them off and again thank them  for saving the town.

7Opal was at the edge of town with toast jam and a store bought salad waiting for the others by a tree while eating.

10Kili was still walking even while waving at the townspeople, simply walking backwards until he felt he had waved enough. So far the journey had actually been pretty fun, so hopefully it'd remain as such. With his backpack heavy with both the new supplies and two eggs, the boy was clearly burdened by his backpack more than before. Still it didn't seem to slow him down too much, as he happily stepped out into the wild.

13Marigold walked up waving good bye to people casually mentioning her account name '@LifeWithMari' hoping it would gain her a few followers, as she left the town with the others.

16With a backpack full of supplies and a Pokemon Egg, Ethan leisurely strolls alongside Hestia as they walked with the others down the road. A bit curious about his Pokemon, Ethan checks up on their data in the Pokedex for anything he wouldn't have already know about.

19The road to Dimwood slowly grew a bit rough and less maintained until the valley itself came into view.

21It was a deep deep in the land with high walls overgrown with thick gnarled trees. Even though it was the middle of the day looking down into the valley it was overcast with enough shadow that it could be mistaken for evening.

24There was a raised eyebrow from Opal as she saw the valley, she couldn't help but think she was forgetting something looking at the high walls and gnarled trees, but she discarded the thought and continued to walk.

27With the valley coming into view Marigold took a selfie with it behind her, posting it with the caption 'Going into the supposedly haunted Dimwood Valley, Hope I don't end up getting cursed :P, Wish me a safe voyage gang'. The overcast nature of the valley unsettled her a bit, but was sure there was some logical reason it was so dark.

30Seeing as the road ahead was looking to be a bit darker, Kili dug out a flashlight from his bag. While it didn't seem necessary to turn it on just yet, it was good to have a source of light with him. Especially considering the gnarled roots and thick undergrowth seemed like a tripping hazard, so at least he'd see the worst of it to mind his step.

33Observing the gnarled trees, Ethan looks up to the sky to check for the direction of the sun. Looking at the overgrown vegetation as they travel deeper into the woods, Ethan had the same idea as Kili. He takes out his flashlight, turning it on as a second source of light for the group. "Watch your step Hestia. We can easily trip if we dont watch out steps." Ethan cautions the Fennekin by his side.

36She started to bark out a reply when a long low groan came from a patch of bushes.

41Immediately leaping a bit in fright, Kili pointed his flashlight towards the source as he stammered "W- w- was that a g- g- ghost?!"

44Marigold was suprised but more annoyed then scared that someone was scaring the Pokemon and Kili with a prank"Hey who's out there trying to scare us?" she called out back to the voice going over trying to get a look in the bush(edited)

47There was a moment before a boy about Kili's age walked out laughing  he was dressed in a baggy shirts and pants that seemed like they were a bit too large as well held in place with a belt, he had dark sunglasses on despite the poor light "Ha that was great.."he said as he tried to stop snickering "I just had to do it."

50As soon as Kili realized he had been pranked, his expression soured. While a prankster, he wasn't fond of being the target himself. "That wasn't funny." In fact he was already thinking of ways to get back at the boy, his eyes first looking over the undergrowth and roots for anything he might "accidentally" pull at to trip the boy over. Though if that didn't work, he could look for another avenue. In any case, his mind was set on getting back at the boy.

53"Who are you? What are you doing hanging around here besides scaring people? Is your party hanging out down the road waiting to jump scare us or something?" Marigold asked figuring the kid was a trainer, and if he was she knew he couldn't be by himself(edited)

56He frowned "I kind of had a fight wit them and ran away." he said kicking the dirt "And I was stupid and left my pokeballs and dex with them." He admitted.

59Considering the earlier act, Kili wasn't too sympathetic about the boy being separated from his belongings for the time being. If anything, he had a mocking grin as he casually commented "Dumbass."

62He laughed "Yeah, your right..Kili." he said with a smirk.

65"... wait what? How do you know my name?" As far as Kili could remember, he had never met this kid. Nor was he one to introduce himself to people back in Vermilion. Most sensible thought was that he was from the orphanage back at Celadon. A possibility that had him worry a bit, as he had kept the part about running away a secret for a long time.

68"Cause I can read your mind." he said before laughing "Nah we were in the orphanage togather...you probably don't  remember me I was always really quite, always sitting in the shadows."

71"Crap, crap, crap." Just like that, the kid had blurted out his secret. So far he kept it to himself not only to more easily illicit sympathy since his situation was self-imposed, but also since Officer Seth didn't even know about that and might force him back after so many years of succesfully staying away.

73Still he managed to keep a demeanor that didn't show how he really felt, casually retorting "Yea, I don't. You must have been real boring company if we never even talked."

76"Alright so you know Kili, but why did you think it was a good idea to prank us? or to hide in the bushes without your pokemon?" she asked thinking that would leave him more open to pokemon attacks

79"Yeah which is why I decided to copy you." He said "Name's Blake by the way." he said.

81"And I did it cause what better way to get your attention?" he asked "Besides hiding is the safest thing I can do...you have any idea what kind of pokemon are around here?" He asked.

86Copy him? Did this mean Blake was a runaway too? Much as Kili wanted to ask, he felt inquiring would be giving too much away.

88Though thankfully the conversation got cut short by a sound coming from the forest. A scream, making him think someone was in trouble. That or it was a Pokemon to catch. Either way it seemed like a good chance he could add to his team. To him, someone being in trouble was secondary since he felt they'd solve that on the side anyway. His expression turning confident, he said "That sounds worth looking into. Lucky, let's go." before running off in the direction of the scream.

96Marigold followed after the pair, not really wanting to run toward the screaming, but also didn't want to leave the two young boys alone especially since one didn't have any pokemon apparently

99Kili was somewhat impressed by someone he didn't even remember so easily keeping up with him. Though his question drew no worries from the boy. "Pff, we're all really strong. Even that Team Rocket lost to us. What's to be afraid of?"

105"Yea, I'd be scared too. But that didn't sound like a ghost. It was way too loud."

108Just about that time the source of the screaming came into view a small pink pokemon sitting in a clearing screaming at nothing.

110It stopped for a second looked at the boys and began to scream even louder, it was almost painfully loud to hear.

113As the scream became overbearing, Kili had to try covering his ears. Yet he couldn't recognize the Pokemon, trying to use his Pokedex by briefly letting one of his ears go uncovered for a few seconds to get a scan.

116"Whismur the Whisper pokemon, while normally quite once it is upset it will cry at deafening volume farther upsetting itself."

121"I got this." Using the same hand, he reached for his belt to toss out a ball. "Go, Poi-Poi." While he wasn't too keen on trying to beat up the screaming Pokemon, he still remembered the water pokemons ability to put people to sleep.

124The tadpole popped out and began shaking his head and slapping his tail to drown out the noise.

127Pointing at the pink pokemon, Kili shouted "Poi-Poi, use Hypnosis!"

130Poi-Poi began to swirl his belly and soon caught the pokemon's attention as it watched it rocked back and forth and went silent before falling over.

133Feeling confident after immediately solving the problem, Kili reached for his belt to grab a pokeball. Since the dex didn't notify it being owned by anyone, it was free range to catch. And best case secnario, it'd calm down a bit when it was caught and they might learn what was wrong. Or at least it'd be silent when it was in a ball, since he knew the sleep won't last forever. "Nice job Poi-Poi. Now let's get it." With a smirk, he tossed off the ball right at the Whismur.

136The ball bounced off but didn't wake the pokemon,

139"Uhh, that was a warning ball." Feeling embarassed by just how badly he failed, Kili just went for another ball, this time taking some time to aim. As the ball hit the sleeping Pokemon, the energy stream pulled it inside, making the ball wiggle a bit. Though after a while, it stopped to signal a capture.

141Turning to Blake, Kili showed a V-sign as he proudly proclaimed "Am I awesome or what? You want to copy me, start with that."

144"Hmm...It looked a bit weak." Blake said "Why not give it to that pink haired girl..seems fitting for her."

147While he could have taken an insult aimed at himself in stride, aiming one at Marigold did not go over well with him considerign she was his first and only human friend. Immediately Kili shoved Blake, saying to him "Take that back!"

156Marigold came up in time to hear the insults thrown her way and see Kili's reaction which she appreciated but didn't want him to do anything rash going over putting a hand on his shoulder "It's fine Kili, Thanks for defending me but he's not worth your trouble. Let's just find his team," she said trying to calm the boy down

159Opal just sighed watching all of this unfold, this was stupid. Really just stupid.

169Kili did indeed see it, just frozen in place"G- g- g- g- g- g- ghost?" While just a moment ago he could physically shove Blake, he now somehow went right through a tree root. One he didn't warn the boy about with the hopes he'd trip.

172Opal Looked spoke up from her spot from far behind the others, and said to Ethan, "I think while they do that i'm going to try and find some pokemon."

180Hoping to gain some clarity, Kili dug out a candy bar from his pocket as it was the first thing to hit his hand. Swiftly but gently tossing it forward, he told Blake "You hungry? Catch." If this went through, it'd confirm their theory. If not, it'd put their minds at ease.

192Breathing a sigh of relief, Kili whispered to Marigold "He's no ghost then, otherwise that would have gone through him." With that, he had no problem following the boy.

Swiftly recalling Poi-Poi for the time being, Kili instead released his newly caught Whismur. Though hoping the litle guy would calm down, he tried to right away kneel to its level and pet it on the head.

197Marigold wasn't as sure as Kili about Blake since the root seemed to be solid, but was starting to wonder if maybe she and Kili had just made a mistake in the dark. Though the fact they both made the same mistake made it seem unlikely.

205If that was Marigold's plan, Kili had another idea. Casually tossing his hands behind his back, he asked "So if you were still around after I left, did headmaster William ever loosen the rules?" Naturally this wasn't the headmasters real name. But hopefully Blake didn't know this, revealing something would be off for certain.

208"Headmaster Arnold did not change at all. Though Miss Elaine did try to keep him from adding bars to the window." He answered using the real name as well as one of the few kind caretakers.
209Walking along Opal could spot what looked to be a lost pokeball laying half buried in the dirt

212Marigold looked at Kili trying to guage if all that was right and if it was she was willing on traveling with Blake a little farther, believing that it was possible Typha's warning had just messed with their heads

215So far it seemed like the only evidence towards something being wrong was Blake's foot passing through the root, something they might have seen wrong. He could hold objects, seemed to know the old grouches name and even someone he didn't mention. This seemed to relax Kili as he decided to just follow. Though now that this matter was under control, he tried again to take out the Whismur to meet it and maybe see what was wrong with it.

221Petting his newest catch, Kili tried asking "Hey little guy. What were you crying about earlier?" While he obviously couldn't speak Pokemon, he hoped the little goy could at least show a direction or something.

229"Pff, like you'd know." Still petting the little pink Pokemon, Kili said "I'm gonna call you Boomer. I'll let you meet everyone else later." With the introduction done, he began following Blake. The sooner they found his group and confirmed this was no ghost, the better.

232Boomer mumbled something that seemed to be an agreement and started to waddle alongside Lucky who licked his cheek, something the new pokemon seemed ok with.

235Marigold walked with Kili but something still seemed off "Are you really a mind reader or some kind of pokemon savant?" she said half jokingly, but if he could read their thoughts it would explain quite a bit

241With a curious stare she went up to the pokeball in the dirt and checked to see what it was.

Not to mention despite vaguely recalling someone like that, it felt like few details were just slightly off. Granted, it had been a few years since then, but still it seemed somehow... a bit wrong.

362"It's ok, he was only playing a prank. " Ethan pets Hestia, trying to calm her down when Blake first pranked him. Something about the boy bothered Ethan. Maybe it's because Kili didn't knew the kid, or how he kept trying to prank them despite Marigold and Kili trying to help him. Either way, Ethan decided to keep an eye on the boy as he follows behind Marigold and Kili.

364"Don't wonder off to far from us and be careful. Call my Pokedex number if you need any assistance." Was all Ethan told Opal when she decided to go off on her own to find some Pokemon. He knew he wouldn't be able to convince Opal in this situation. Besides she's probably the one who can take her of herself without needing his help.

366So giving Opal a nod before she left, Ethan silently follow behind Marigold, Kili, and the boy called Blake. When he saw the boy's leg passing through a branch, Ethan felt a shiver going up his spine. Taking out his Pokedex, Ethan decided to try to find any details or rumors about the Dimwood Valley.

379With some disappointment, Ethan was about to put his dex away when Opal contacted him. "Sure! Where are you? I can come over to you." Ethan quickly responded back to Opal, glad her text came when it did. It slightly help to distract the lack of online articles about Dimwood Valley.

382With a look around opal, sent back a message apiximating the way to her based on where they were walking.

385Reading the direction. Ethan jogs up to Marigold and Kili. "Looks like you two have things under control. I'm going check up on Opal for a bit." Turning around to observe the landscape and connecting it to Opal's message, Ethan approximate her location. "Alright Hestia, let's go find Opal." With his flashlight in hand Ethan gives Hestia a calming smile before following Opal's directions.

394Following the written direction, Ethan walks through the gnarled forest. He carefully watches his footing when Hestia's bark warns him something was nearby. Looking to the rustling bush, Ethan wonders what was hiding inside it. He thought about approaching it, but recalls a strange dream of a boy being sprayed by a Stunky. Not wanting to experience something similar, Ethan swiftly takes out his Pokedex and aims it at the brush, hoping the dex can scan and tell him if a Pokemon was hiding behind the bush.

397it took a few seconds for the pokedex to lock on to the pokemon in the bush and once it did it began to recite the information.
398"Ralts the Feeling Pokemon, Ralts senses the emotions of people using the horns on its head. This Pokémon rarely appears before people. But when it does, it draws closer if it senses that the person has a positive disposition."

401"It's ok Hestia, I don't think it's here to hurt us." Ethan said with a sigh of relief that a Stunky wasn't in the bush. He then kneels down and calls out to the Ralts hiding in the bush. "Hey buddy, are you hungry?" Ethan slowly retrieves a small piece of the Slowpoke Tail Hestia had given to him the other day. "You can have this." Ethan unwraps the delicacy and places it on the ground on top of the food wrapper. Hoping this is enough to convince the Ralts to step out of the bush.

404The pkemon slowly stepped out and approched "Ral?"

406Ethan could feel a small tingle at the back of his neck "Tal." it finished as  it gently took the offered food and after a few bites teleported onto Ethan's shoulder.

411"My friend Hestia got it for me. But I'm glad you like it." Ethan gestures to Hestia and pats her on the head. "I have some more in my bag. Maybe we can eat the rest together after I meet up with the rest of my traveling companions." Ethan smiles to the Ralts on his shoulder and gingerly pats the Pokemon on the head while carefully avoid touching the horns. He wasn't sure what that small tingle at the back of his neck, but maybe the Ralts was sensing his emotions like what the Pokedex said. "You're welcome to join us on our travel. What do you think Hestia?" Ethan turns to ask for Hestia's opinion.

414Hestia gave a cheerful bark and Ralts giggled.

417With a cheerful smile, Ethan carefully stands up so the Ralts wouldn't lose it's balance. "Let me know if I'm moving too fast for you." Ethan told the Ralts on his shoulder. With his flashlight in hand, Ethan follows Opal's written direction to find her in the woods.

422"Ral, ral." He seemed to be singing a little and Hestia joined in with a few yips.

425With the two setting up some tunes, Ethan couldn't help but also softly hums along with the Ralts singing and Hestia's yips. There was a slight sway in his body, despite still carefully moving through the forest.

436Noticing the Ralts seems afraid of Opal, Ethan slows his steps. Remembering the Pokemon can sense other's emotions, he calls out to Opal. "Give me a minute."

438Stopping in his tracks, Ethan tries to comfort the scared Ralts. "There there, you don't have to be afraid of Opal. She can be a bit difficult, but I've seen her caring for her Pokemon." Ethan whispers to the Ralts and gently pats his head. "I'm going show her how to use a medical kit to deal with paralysis. You're welcome to stay and watch, or maybe you're more comfortable watching from afar? Staying in a Pokeball is an option, but it's you're choice. I'm not going to force you." Ethan looks to the Ralts and give him a smile. "But if you stay, I promise not to let Opal or her Pokemon hurt you."

444Ethan looks over to the Ralts hiding behind a tree, then back to Opal. If he could sense other's emotions, then he would definitely understood how the Ralts felt. But he wasn't psychic  or has such an ability. Giving the Ralts one last look to see if the Pokemon was safe, Ethan walks over to Opal and unslings his backpack.

446"Sorry for the wait. I met a new friend, kinda hoping he'll join me on our journey." Ethan unfasten the first aid kit and settles it on the ground. "So which two needs help?"

449Opal took out a ball and tossed out Dempsey, before realizing she should probably let Rossum as well, "actually, a little bit of first aid lessons for Rossum is probably a good idea."

466A but shocked at Opal's action though feeling that it unsurprisingly fitted her image, Ethan knelt down with the med kit. "Thanks."  He didn't know why he said it, but felt he should thank her.

468"First you'll want to check any open wounds. If there's any, you'll want to disinfect the area before applying any medicine." Ethan points to and takes out the disinfectant wipes before continuing to show Opal how to check and apply the different medicines to wounded areas.

471Opal opened her med kit and preceded to follow the instructions, and taking this chance to also pull out her dex to type out some notes on some of the more salient points for later. Making sure that she had a full idea of what she needed to do for the future.

474"If you dont have access to any disinfectants, alcohol or clean water are alternate solutions." Ethan pauses inbetween talks to allow Opal time to follow his instructions and take notes. He then mentions how to bandage up wounds, take care of bruises and feel for unseen welts.

477Opal nodded listening along as she started treating the wounds, she made sure to look at them in some spots, and said while she was doing it to her pokemon,  specifically to Dempsey, "I'll give you guys some food after this so bare with it. He didn't shrink away from correcting her actions when she wrongly applied the medicine or made huge mistakes. Small mistakes was fine as Ethan help guide Opal to perform treatments the proper way.

487"To cure paralysis, you can use a heating pad, stimulate the nerves and muscles, or massaging the afflicted tissue." Ethan told Opal when the subject moves onto treating paralysis. 490As Kili heard the rustling coming from ahead, he had to put his own thoughts on Blake to a halt. Holding his hand up, he said "Hold on a moment, Lucky and I will have a look. They're not gonna notice us." Returning Boomer to its ball, as the loud little Pokemon would no doubt ensure they're seen, he forged ahead while trying to stay unnoticed.

492As he saw the two dog-like Pokemon playfighting, his eyes glowed with enthusiasm. This was the Pokemon he had been looking for, and now he had found two of them to catch. Though since a fight hadn't quite broken out yet and the two didn't seem initially hostile as per their play-fighting, Kili decided to start with a different approach.

494Turning to Lucky, he whispered "Remember our Playdate scheme? Let's go with that." This was a simple one: Lucky could often approach people to play with them, lowering their guard. Then once Kili entered as the Eevee's owner, he was often let in with his friend. Normally it was used to get closer to wallets, but it could perhaps be adapted to trick the Houndours to be more receptive to a friendly approach if Eevee won their trust before Kili joined in on the playing. Best case scenario, he wouldn't even need to fight to get one or both to join him.

500the Houndours stopped fighting for the moment and  eyed Lucky, they weren't going to attack outright but they were sizing him up.

Once his partner was back, he took the  wraps off before handing it over to Lucky "Let's try offering this to them. I'd give one for each, but Blake got my other one and we got none of Mari's snacks left."

521However since the situation was two on one with Eevee, Kili decided it was best to even the odds. Since these were fire-types, the boy figured water would work the best. To that end, he released Poi-Poi in the bushes. "Okay, use Water Gun on one of them. You and Lucky can do this."

524Poi-Poi blasted one of the dogs with a stream of water making it howl  pain and anger quickily turning to face the souce it growled as did it's companion. Not seeming to connect Lucky to the attack they ignored him as he quickly moved  out of the area to avid cluttering the battle field.
525The one that had been attackted let out a loud howl getting itself more worked up for a fight.

528"Again!" Kili commanded. Another shot went forth, but this time the two seemed prepared as the Houndour was able to avoid the attack.

530Though feeling this was a fight they shouldn't do 2-on-2 due to how baly he could get hurt, Kili instead dug something out of his pocket. A pester ball that had so far gone unused. Chucking it at the second Houndour, he shouted "Take that!"

533The pester ball hit the dog in the face popping and a cloud of gas covered it for a second before clearing to show the pup curled up snoozing away.

538The little tadople was coughing up from the smog, able to clear off the worst of it despite clearly being short of breath for a while.

Indeed this time the water gun found its mark, splashing the Houndour in the face.

574"There there, we don't gotta fight anymore." As he seemed to get the approval, Kili began to look over the injuries and wrapping them up. He might not have had any medical training, but tightening a banadage around a wound even he could do. "It'll be better in a while. I'll even have Ethan look you over, he's really good with medicine."

577Marigold had hung back to make it easier for Kili to try and charm the bone hounds, and combat went by so quickly she didn't have much of a chance to jump in, "Good Job Kili, a double catch. What are you going to name them?" she asked glancing at Blake wondering why he felt the need to niggle Kili at every turn

580Stopping for a brief moment to ponder while applying the bandage, Kili replied "Hmm. I don't think I'll need two, so I'll let someone else keep one. I'll decide the name for the one I keep later. Though it's gotta be cool, Seth named his Inferno." Though to assuade any worries about being given away immediately, he told the one Houndour out of it's ball "Don't worry, it'll just be someone else in my group. You won't be separated from your friend."

601As they had a little distance, Kili opened up by saying "Hey, I don't know these Pokedexes too well, but could one call the Celadon City Orphanage? I'm still not sure about Blake, so if we can ask the orphanage if he's still there or ever even was there, we'd be able to know for certain. I doubt there are that many runaways under his watch, especially ones named Blake."

He can talk to pokemon at the very least, whose to say he couldn't call a bunch of them to help him out if he felt threatened." she said as she thought about something thinking about his prefrence towards pranking and his ability to understand pokemon. "Hmm maybe he's one of those prankster ghost types," she said pointing her Pokedex at Blake trying to scan him.

665While Kili fell on his butt, shaking in fear at the sudden and explicit show of ghosts, he remembered one thing stronger than his fear: the Houndour and Lucky were still with 'Blake'. Climbing to his feet, he began yelling for them. "Lucky! Houndour! Where are you!?"

Just... maybe I'm not as lonely as I was with just me and Lucky." Now recalling the partner he forgot for a second with the appearance of Marshadow, he stepped forward while taking his weapon in hand to ask "Where's Lucky?!"

706The egg was something he himself didn't understand either, especially after how much it hurt him when he thought he wasn't going to get it anymore because of his decision. Though he could still remember one thing that made sense about the action. "But... it made Mari so happy. And I like her. She's good as schemes like with that rocket guy, and with you just now. She also makes really good food for me and my Pokemon, she's nice to me and..." The last part was something he hadn't quite told Marigold yet, something he managed to figure out from personal experience. "She's just as good as I am at faking a smile."

708Sitting down in a small slump, the boy said to the Pokemon "I wanted to just dump them at first, go back to Vermilion. But... then Lucky and I would be all alone again. I liked that life fine but... now I'm not sure I wanna be alone."

711Marigold pounded the ground frustrated but as that faded off she just pulled her knees to her chest, wanting to run away hating the feeling but not wanting to leave Kili and his pokemon lost in here either.

742"A pokemon that can talk has been hanging around you for a year and a half? That the dex has never heard of? That sounds kind of like a Legendary Pokemon, the rare possibly not real pokemon that only pop in legends and stuff. Did Marshadow say why it has been following you? It didn't do anything too bad did it?" she asked seeing the gloomy mood that Kili was in wondering if the pokemon said something that brought this out.

745Starting to finally get a grasp on the situation, Kili's voice returned closer to his regular casual tone. "It said it followed me since it liked learning all my tricks and pranks. It liked the life me and Lucky had in Vermilion. Though it also said it didn't like that I was changing. Or at least it thinks I am." Legendary Pokemon were indeed something even he had heard of in tales and stories, though not once in his life did he think he'd meet one, let alone have one follow him for a long time without his knowledge.

747Still, even after everything it did to them, he couldn't help but ask "You think it was lonely?" Kili couldn't help but relate, even if Marshadow didn't go about its business in the nicest way. Despite always having Lucky by his side, he couldn't help but feel that way himself when it was the two of them trying to avoid everyone else to not be caught

Not to mention he felt it better left unmentioned that Marshadow seemed to blame Marigold in particular. Maybe it'd respond better when they were alone. Drawing a deep breath before putting on a smile again, he said "Well, we should go find Ethan now. Make sure he's okay too, and he can treat Houndour."

Telling someone you saw a legendary Pokemon was already hard to buy. Claiming the boy that was with them was said legendary Pokemon, as well as having followed the thief around for over a year was the kind of story most people would just listen out of interest to see how far it will go. Not to mention he really didn't feel like going through the whole event again, especially with Opal.

806Seeing the wounded Houndour laying before him, Ethan gives Kili a nod. "Sure, I'll do what I can." Crouching down besides the Houndour, Ethan gently places the Ralts behind him. "Don't worry, she seems too weak to hurt you right now."

808"Don't worry, I'm going take care of you." Gently petting the Houndour to calm her down, Ethan begins to check her pulse and wounds before opening his med kit. "It'll sting a bit, so please bare with it." Ethan sprays a mist of antibacterial spray before applying ointment over the more serious bruised areas.

824A bit surprised at Kili's request, Ethan looks back to the resting pup. "I suppose I can. That's if she accepts me after you had caught her." Ethan looks over to the other Houndour also caught by Kili. Though he already has Hestia, Ethan wasn't oppose to having another Fire type Pokemon on his team.

826Ethan knew battling and capturing one is the usual way. Though his methods in obtaining Pokemon thus far is by befriending them. While he isn't oppose to the normal way of things, Ethan wondered if the Houndour would accept him so soon after being given away by another human after being captured. "I'll take care of her for now and see how she feels about this arrangement." Ethan told Kili after thinking on the boy's request. He then looks over to Hestia and to the Ralts hiding behind him to gauge their reaction.

I'm reserved...Also would it kill you to talk long enough for me to at least let me say good bye," she said the tears slipping out more as she took a second to just let it out before wiping her eyes

A little bit of trivia he had picked up after falling afoul to it, thinking Seth's Inferno couldn't see him.

Setting the flashlight down to have his hands free, the boy began digging through his backpack for the tent he purchased in the last town. While he seemed slow at it, he began to amke some progress in setting it up for a shelter while he slept.

Ethan asks the two fire Pokemon besides him so he can figure out if they are alone.

1175After gathering enough materials for the campfire, Ethan uses a log to soften the dirt enough to dig a shallow ditch in the ground. He then places stones around the outer edge to help contain the fire. Placing and lining up the larger logs on the bottom, Ethan arranges the smaller and lighter ones on top in alternating platforms. It was something he was taught by Aunty Jo. Not to mention it was arranged so that Marigold can easily cook food over the campfire.

You two can rest while we set up camp and make dinner." With the campfire providing light, Ethan turns off his flashlight and begins to setup his own tent.

1183As he was about to finish his tent around the time Ethan was done, requiring twice as much time, he put that aside for a second since he could remember something Joy told them. The egg cases would alarm him when one of them was going to hatch. Stepping to his bag, he hastily opened it to see which of the eggs it was that was hatching, digging that one out.

1186The egg shook as cracks formed along the shell, the case opening automatically and soon a small blue pine cone popped out.

1193Hearing a soft beeping that only grew louder when Kili receives the Pokemon egg case from his bag, Ethan looks over to see what was going on. Realizing one of Kili's Pokemon egg is hatching, Ethan smiles and looks form where he stood so the boy can be the first face the newborn sees.

1196"It looks pretty weird." Kili said as he tilted his head left and right. It sort of reminded him of Kakuna, seeming like it wouldn't be able to even move. Though it was still his Pokemon, so he took out the pokedex to scan it. Of course he first placed it on the pillow that was in the egg case before, letting it sleep.

1199Lucky and Cerberus walked over and sniffed the newest member with it rolling a little bit in response to the sudden noises and such, though they backed off before upsetting her.

1208Kili's pokedex began to recite it's entry "Pineco  The Bagworm pokemon, Pineco hangs from a tree branch and patiently waits for prey to come along. If the Pokémon is disturbed while eating by someone shaking its tree. it drops to the ground and explodes with no warning."

1211When the Pokedex mentioned the Pokemon exploding, Kili inched his way further from it, nervously asking  "Explode? Like, boom?"

1217Ethan chuckles to himself. "I think the Pokedex was referring to a move Pineco can learn. But as long as you or anyone don't frighten or disturb the little one, you should be fine." He said while glancing over to Lucky and Cerberus who was playing with her earlier.

1219"Oh, while she's resting, I think it's a good opportunity to transfer the ownership of Cerberus' sister to me. I think she's taken quite a liking to me. Pineco's brave older brothers can watch over and protect her while we do that." Ethan winks over to Kili's other two Pokemon.

1222While a bit reassured, Kili still felt a bit off-put by his newest teammate being able to just explode when frightened by something.

1224Turning his attention to the second matter, he asked "Sister?" Kili looked between the two Houndours, swiftly connecting the dots in his head. The two seemed extremely close, the female fighting both him and Poi-Poi when his brother slept. "Huh, didn't know. Makes sense thought." Turning to Ethan, he took out his Pokedex as he haiiply said "Okay... can you remind me how you were supposed to do that on this thing?"

1227Marigold jumped back instinctively realizing that the pine cone Pokémon had been completely willing to explode, if it had the ability ”It looks like it won’t be able to explode yet, but you should work on teaching it some self control before it learns how. It seems more then willing the blow just from a mention of exploding,” Marigold said as she started to set up her tent.

1230"That's a good idea Mari." Ethan agrees with her telling Kili to teach the newborn Pineco self restraint. Of course hearing the Pokemon had wanted to explode alerted Ethan, but seeing how the Pineco couldn't, Ethan relaxed.

1232"Sure, it was mentioned in the Pokedex's tutorial." Ethan said and instructs Kili how to transfer ownership of the other Houndour.

1235With the instructions, Kili could follow them to officially make the second Houndour Ethan's Pokemon.

1237With the transfer over, he looked back over to his newest teammate. "Okay, that's new. Gotta teach a Pokemon not to explode." Walking back over to the Pineco, he crocuhed by it to point at it as he told it "Think I'll call you Coco. So if you really gotta explode... can you wait until your friends are away and you only got bad guys around you? I mean blowing yourself up has to hurt, so it'll be nicer to you too."

1245Kili really lacked any experience training Pokemon from nothing. Lucky was already a bit of a trickster when he got it, plus the learning there came naturally from years of co-operation. Not being able to communicate didn't help either, especially since Coco's expressions were hard to read. "I'm gonna assume you... I dunno. Can't you only blow up on command or something?”

1251With a sigh, Kili hoped another approach would work. "Lucky, come over here." Waiting for his partner to get closer, he asked it "Can you ask her to only explode on command? Just so he doesn't hurt his friends?" Maybe if Lucky acted as a middle-man, this would be easier. Not only was the Eevee far more expressive, the two had a close bond that let Kili more easily communicate even without the Eevee speaking English.

1253Lucky walked over and the two began to converse though Lucky seemed to not be able to get trough either, perhaps due to Coco being a newborn

1256Sighing again in frustration, Kili had to think again. Lucky had no more success in reading this thing. It was Venomax in its middle form all over. However that very thought brought up an idea. If Venomax had been in and possibly dealt with similar range of expression, maybe it would have a better chance. Releasing the Beedrill he asked it "Venomax, can you tell if Coco here could please not explode when we're close enough to get hit?"

1259Opal took this chance the others were using to watch Kili and his pokemon to change in her tent and slip out the back. Taking her pokeballs with her, Releasing Rossum to run along side her. She was going for a run. A long run, she needed to get faster, train harder. Put some effort into making sure she didn't lose again.

1262The freshly evolved Beedrill looked down at the newborn and scooped it up flying to a tree and sticking to to a low hanging branch and buzzing.

1266"Pineco." she said seeming to understand things a  bit better though she soon began to cry and Venomax flew to a tree gathering leaves and bark to sit in front of the baby.
1267After only a few minutes Opal found herself in an area that was overgrown even for the forest, thick brambles forming a near soild wall on all sides other than the path that had lead her here.

1270Looking over the leaves and bark, Kili wasn't quite sure what this was. Best he could guess was that some worms ate leaves, so maybe the baby Pokemon was hungry. Digging through his bag, Kili found some pokechow and held it in his hands right in front of the Pineco. "Here, have something to eat."

1287A group of pumpkins floated out surrounding Opal and her pokemon their eyes flashing brightly.

1309The smallest pumpkin was nearly cut open but tried to counter by blasting him with ghostly energy, though he failed.

1345Seeing as they were going to rush Rossum at once she jumped out in front of the one that looked like it was going to get rossum the hardest being slammed into the side, she glared at it saying, "Try again, doesn't even itch."

1369Opal motioned for rossum to get into her arms picking him up and started walking slowly back to the camp slowly. She needed to go handle her injuries in secret. they didn't get to see her hurting like this. No one did.

1372Back at camp Marigold was starting to set up her cooking gear looking at Kili and Ethan "If you guys want I can work on improving your MREs again, also if either of you want you can see if Opal is going to be joining us for dinner," she said making some food for her own pokemon first, but kept the gear out for her offer.

1375Turning his head to Marigold for a moment, he said "Sure, I'd love that. Though Opal can come out on her own."

1377Hoping to leave Coco and Venomax with each other, Kili instead focused on his two four-legged companions. "Okay, think we can do some training before we head to bed." Not having missed the two's competitiveness earlier, he decided to use it as a motivator. Calling for Venomax, he had the Beedrill create a length of rope from its thread. "The two of you will play tug of war." Drawing a line in the dirt, he added "Winner is whoever gets the other one past this line."

1379Kili intentionally left the rules simple. Not only since he figured Lucky might try to cheat, it would either teach Cerberus the ropes or motivate it to do so in the future. Lucky and him never played fair, so neither should the Houndour.(edited)

1385"Sure." Ethan hands over an MRE labeled curry to Marigold. "Oh can you also make something out of this? I'll like to share it with the rest of my Pokemon." Ethan unwarps the remaining portion of the Slowpoke Tail and shows it to Marigold.

1388Marigold took the tail piece looking it over "I can work with this," she said as she started working on the MREs doing some basic flavoring on Kili's and adding some garlic and green chilis to Ethan's curry and heating both up. When she looked over the Slowpoke tail she decided to be a bit experimental using some of the extra curry powder and roasting one piece to give it some spice, while trying to dry out the other piece to jerky it. Taking a bit off each of the experiments adding it to Ethan's meal while handing him the fully cooked peices to give to his pokemon

1391"Thanks, I'll check on Opal while you're sprucing up the meals." Ethan then looks around the camp for Opal. When he didn't see her, he tries to call for her. "Opal! We're going to have dinner soon, will you be joining us?" He shouts a few times into the dark woods.

You're mean to Mari, you kept mocking me and played pranks on me." It didn't hit the kid that he was basically describing his own behavior before joining this group.

1409There instead of a response, was just the sound of movement from inside of opal's tent. She'd managed to make her way back to camp and entered her tent from the backside in order to hide the fact she'd gotten hurt hidden. She was currently shirtless in there dressing her stomach wound from that powerful slam to her body.

1412Hearing movement  in Opal's tent, Ethan walks a little closer but keeps enough distance away from the tent. "Opal are you in there? Sorry if I'm disturbing you, but will you be interested in joining the rest of us for dinner?" He calls out, hoping a wild Pokemon hadn't intrude into Opal's tent and is playing a prank on him, despite their  Pokemon had marked their surrounding.(edited)

Ethan thought after waiting a few seconds in silence without hearing an answer coming from Opal's tent. Figuring out he should scare off whatever Pokemon had enter Opal's tent, Ethan walks on over. 1418As Ethan opened the flap to Opal's tent he got an eyeful of the young woman's budding body, and black well endowed bra. She was currently using a pad from her first aid kit to try and dab at the large red spot on her side to disinfect it like how Ethan had taught her days ago, Her eyes were focused on the task to the point that she wasn't even paying attention as the flap was opened.

1421Seeing how there wasn't a Pokemon inside Opal's tent, but rather the girl herself, Ethan sigh a breath of relieve. His face then turns a slight shade of red when he realize sitting before him is a nearly naked Opal. "S-sorry! I didn't mean to peek." Ethan quickly calls out and turns his head to the side as fast as he could. As he turns to face away from Opal, Ethan caught the sight of a large red spot on the girl's budding body. Turning his head to face Opal, Ethan looks at the large welt on her side before realizing it was a bruise on her body.

1443Ethan had suspected Opal was stubborn, but he didn't knew it would be to the point of hiding her own wounds. After studying Opal's face and reaction, Ethan sighs. "Fine I'll take a look at Rossum. But if that scratch grows in size, or you feel dizziness, nausea, unexplained exhaustion or general weakness, you'll know where to find me." He didn't want to force himself onto Opal. And although he had a glimpse of the sizable bruise on her body, it could just be a surface injury rather than an internal one.

1446Opening up the pokeball on the inside of it was rossum, a sizable amount of damage had been done to the tough snake, as it took it's fair share of licks overall from the fight.

1451Seeing the Seviper have taken a sizable amount of damage, Ethan quickly gets to work on administering first aid on Rossum. "Stay still for me will you? This will sting, but it'll you'll feel better much quicker." First applying medicine to the areas that are heavily damaged, Ethan couldn't help by wonder who Opal and Rossum had fought.

1453"I was just worried you may have internal injuries like bleeding. I don't have the necessary medical supplies to heal those kinds of wounds. So a preliminary medical check up can slow the process until we get to a town and find a professional." Ethan told Opal as he applies ointment over parts of Rossum's body before bandaging up the areas.

1464"I knew you are tough, same goes for your Pokemon. There, you should rest for now." Ethan lightly pets and rubs Rossum's side. "We may not know each other that long, but I still worry for you. J-Just be careful out there when we aren't around." Ethan stops from explaining more and instead told Opal the last part.

1466Once Rossum's injuries are taken care of, Ethan gives Opal a light nod as he exists her tent. "We're having dinner and Marigold is fixing up our MREs. She can spruce up yours if you like. You're welcome to join us if you like." He stops to tell Opal before looking back to invite her. Once Ethan said the last part, he returns to the campfire.

1469After treating Opal's Pokemon, Ethan returns to the campfire where Marigold was using to spruce up and cook the dishes. He arrived just in time to receive the improved MRE Curry and Slowpoke tail snacks. "I invited Opal, but I don't know if she'll join us for dinner. But if you need her, she is in her tent." Ethan told Marigold and didn't further elaborate on why Opal is inside her tent.

1471"Thanks!" Taking a whiff of the aroma, Ethan smiles knowing the dish would taste just as good. Calling Hestia and Fenris over, Ethan takes a seat nearby the campfire. He then releases Gaia and Ralts from their Pokeball and sets a plate in front of each Pokemon. Ethan claps his hands together once to get his Pokemon attention. As for the Ralts, Ethan decided to have him sit on his lap, as an insurance to comfort him. "Before we have dinner, I think it's a good opportunity to reintroduce everyone to each other. Everyone has already met Hestia. This is Gaia, Fenris, and I think I'll call you Artorigus." Ethan gestures to each Pokemon before naming the Ralts on his lap. "We're a family now, so I hope we all can get along together despite our differences. With that said, let's eat!"

1480Opal didn't say anything really to Ethan as he left, she wsn'g going to say anything to him she didn't want to, instead she'd taken her pokeballs with her pokemon and let them out so they could head over to get some meals from the others if they wanted to. Marigold probably had made them well and good for them, but Opal stayed in her tent, an MRE in hand to eat.

1483Chrysanthemum dug a small hole just outside the tent and half buried herself to soak up nutrients, Dempsey was quick to dig into his food and soon was begging for more, Rossum swallowed his meal in one gulp and laid down though he was watching Dempsey fatten himself up.

1485And the newest member Jackolyn was content to float overhead using his glowing eyes to flashbulb everyone like an old camera.

1488Once Marigold made sure all the pokemon were fed, giving Rossum and Dempsey a second course Dempsey because he asked and Rossum because of the way he was eyeing up the plumping frog. She even left out a bowl for the strange ghost that had joined the group, believing it could be a new team member and if it wasn't the food would serve as a good peace offering. Once she was sure everyone was properly fed she retired to her tent, letting out Aster laying her on her own chest just in case a wild pokemon decided to make trouble in the night. Eventually drifting off to sleep.

1491As Kili returned to enjoy his meal, he let all of his Pokemon out to meet one another. So far some of them hadn't made intriductions, plus they were probably hungry too. Lucky of course had his place right next to Kili, but to safeguard  himself from the ghost that appeared to them he also had Cerberus sit right next to him as a guard.

1493Once he was finished with his meal, he stretched for a moment before heading to his tent. Everyone but Lucky was returned to their balls, but the Eevee naturally had a place in the boys sleeping bag. Though having heard of the trickster creatures of the forest, he was basically using the mouth of his backpack as a makeshift pillow to ensure none could take from it. Part of being a thief was not only knowing the tricks, but how people work to prevent those tricks.

1496Seeing as how Opal's Pokemon came out for dinner, along with a new Pokemon that didn't prank them, Ethan assumed the Pumpkin Pokemon belongs to Opal.

1498After everyone finished their meals, Ethan let his Pokemon play around for a bit as he gives each a proper grooming before he eventually retires to his tent for the evening. With the limited space inside the tent, Ethan recalls everyone besides Hestia. As he lays in his sleeping bag, Ethan recalls the day's event before slowly drifting off to sleep.

1501In the middle  of the night Marigold was woken up by the sound of rustling even in the darkness she could make out a shape  inside her tent.  Whatever it was quickly jumped out  of the tent.

1506Marigold held back a scream not wanting to get a possible whole pack agitated but looked to see if Aster was awake wondering if she could put the invading pokemon to sleep before it made too much trouble in the camp, peeking outside to see if she could get a look at it.

1509Seemingly the tricks of the trade proved useful, as the young thief was worken up by the attempt to steal his posessions. Immediately he reached for his weapon, being a bit used to this situation happening with some stray city Pokemon. Jumping to his feet, he gave chase as he tossed out a ball of the one who'd seen in the dark. "Cerberus, let's go! No one steals from us."

1512Looking out there were three black birds that had already seemed to have stolen from  Ethan and Opal as they had a pile of loot which they quickily grabbed what they could before flying off into the woods.

1520While he'd have been nonplussed about them stealing from Opal, stealing from the group in general felt like an attack against his professional pride. Plus one with skills like that could be useful on his team. Turning to his friend, he asked hed "Mari, can you wake up Opal and Ethan? I'm gonna find where they went with Cerberus and Lucky. Hestia can probably track Lucky easily when they've been around one another a lot." With that, he gave the order "Lucky, Cerberus, try and see if you can track their smell."

1523Marigold nodded heading over rustling Opal and Ethan's tents "You guys a bunch of Pokemon just robbed us, we need to find them," she said trying to wake them up while explaining the situation.

1551Opal seeing that started to spring up, she couldn't let that go, she really needed that thing. With a a spurt she started getting dressed and pulling out pokeballs returing everyone but Dempsey as she got out of her tent waiting to see if Ethan could give them the direction

1554Quickly dressing up for the cold night deeper into the woods, Ethan grabbed his the rest of his Pokeballs and exits his tent. Realizing it'll be harder to track whatever Pokemon had stolen their items, Ethan knelt down and petted his Pokemon. "Hestia, Fenris, the thieves has something of mine. Are you able to track them using my scent?"

The boy knew better than to warn the thieves that people were coming, as even a single light in the pitch-black forest could easily be spotted and have the thieves flee to another position. 1563"Looks like my Pokemon know where the thieves are heading." Ethan stood back up and address to the others that waited on him. With his flashlight pointed to the ground to light their path, Ethan quickly follows behind Hestia and Fenris.

1586Not expecting to be noticed right away, Kili commanded forth his Houndour. "Go Cerberus!" The hound could see in the dark, so it was the best choice for this battle. Either way, his eyes were set on the Honchkrow. Yet to dissuade Opal, he said "No way, we'll prove ourselves to that one."

1597Seeing it's relatively still dark out and know Hestia would be at a disadvantage when fighting the birds on their own turf. Even though he has a flashlight to help alleviate the situation, Ethan thought it's a good opportunity to have Fenris represent him.

1599Ethan kneels to pet and rub Fenris on her side. "I believe you can handle them. You ready for this Fenris? Ah, looks like your brother is also joining in on this fight." Ethan mentions the last part after hearing Kili calls out Fenris sibling's name. He then stands up and turns on the brightness of his flashlight up and shines it at the flock of birds.

1615As Kili dashed behind the Murkrow while his hound kept it busy, he dropped his weapon as he reached for a Pokeball instead. Just in case Opal managed to take out the Honchkrow, he wanted a backup. At point blank while Cerberus was dividing its attention, the boy lobbed a ball at the bird.

1624The bird ignored Opal  as the last one flew toward Aster ready for a snack but after getting close it seemed to catch a whiff of something that made it second guess that.

1627Seeing the small bird's fluffy of pecks landed on one of Fenris' previous wound, Ethan turns to shines his flashlight into the bird's eyes. The brightness of the light create a small window of opportunity for Ethan to quickly take out a potion bottle and sprays a fine mist over Fenris. "Fenris burn it with your Ember!" Ethan calls out after emptying the bottle.

1669The black crow's smoking feathers were to catch Fenris off guard for it's wings to it's mark. Fenris howls as the attack lands on a previous injury, causing it to reopen.

He shines his flashlight once more into the bird's face before tossing the empty potion bottle at it. With an empty hand, Ethan quickly retrieves another potion and sprays it's disinfectant and healing properties onto Fenris' wounds.

1702With a single look to the pokemon now attacking Dempsey from behind there was a loud clicking of Opal's tounge. Her eyes went over the battle field and saw her other teammates, and Kili's botched throw of a pokeball that would've interrupted her battle.

1706As her pokemon jumped into the air and stabbed it's hand into the honchkrow again, the sound of a pokeball ringing out and hitting it sounded. As opal nailed it between the eyes and it was sucked in. The ball falling to the ground and clicking in pace.

1708Taking that mental moment, she stepped up to the Murkrow that had attacked Dempsey, "I've got your boss. Run."

1716While Kili wanted to go and yell at Opal for stealing his mark, as well as losing all the other ones, he was too weak to do so. The blow to his gut had him fall on one knee, holding the wound for a few seconds. It wasn't going to be the end of him, but it made it hurt no less. He'd need to find a way to fight from further away or get some way to protect himself.

1722"You did great Fenris!" Ethan pats the Houndour, quickly checking on the wound she received from the black crow.

1724Spanning his flashlight to get a better view of everyone, Ethan saw Kili falling on one knee while holding onto his side. "You two stay besides me." Ethan told Fenris and Hestia, whom waited by his side during the battle. Rushing to Kili, Ethan knelt in front of the boy. "You're hurt, let me check that wound."

1742Almost missing it since he wasn't expecting the gesture from Opal, Kili lurched forward to get both hands under the ball. Before he realized it, he was the owner of the large bird he had wanted. Looking back and forth between the ball and Opal a few times, he finally said "Thanks  Opal." Her intentions may not have been benevolent, but he still appreciated the gesture.

1744Though when Marigold offered the soda, Kili turned to her instead and said with a smile "Thanks, it'd probably be better after we sleep a little more, but I'll take it." With that, he took the can and carefully downed the contents.

1752As he felt a lot better after downing the soda, Kili's attention was soon turned to his Pokedex. Not really having listened to any potential time it was brought up, he had to ask "Maximum of team? What does that mean?"

1755"You can only have 6 Pokemon on your team at once. It's to keep people from just catching a horde of weak Pokemon and trying to steam roll other people. The outlier get's sent to the Box and you can switch them out at a Pokemon center," Marigold explained, having heard the explanation for why she couldn't play with all her father's pokemon at once

1758Raising an eyebrow, Kili commented "Well that's dumb. What even is a 'box'?"  Having to choose proved rather difficult. Naturally it wasn't going to be Lucky or Cerberus, but to him all the Pokemon were his friends. After having his finger over all of the four remaining ones, he finally pressed the image of a Whismur.

1760Right after the ball disappeared from his pocket, as if pulled to the sky by a beam of light. Feeling a bit sad he had to send one of his own away, he said "See you again sometime Boomer. I'll get you out to play sometime when I can."

1763Marigold put a finger on her chin thinking about it for a bit before shrugging "No idea, that's just what my dad always called it. I just know it can be connected to with those computers at Pokemon centers," she said as she looked over at the pile of goods "It looks like this is the stuff they've collected. What should we do with it, this stuff is probably stolen from people who pass through," she said scratching her head.

1766Looking over, the stash of goods looked kind of small for something they had been most likely collecting from more than just this group. Too small in fact. Thinking like a thief, he pondered about a convenient stash nearby, setting his flashlight on the treestump the three birds had been around a moment ago.

1768Going around it, he began looking for any spots that seemed suspicious. Indeed he found a spot where dirt had clearly been piled on recently as grass was gone, digging through it with his free hand. This revealed a secondary trove of treasure. As he began stuffing it into his bag, Kili yelled to the others "Found some more."

1771Ethan nearly forgot he didn't have his medical kit to tend to Kili's wounds. However Marigold's offer of the soda pop helped recover some of Kili's stamina. With Kili being taken care of, Ethan walks over to the stump the crows had used to store their stash and looks for his medical kit.

1773Finding his medical kit, Ethan opens it to check it's contents. Mostly because he's unsure if the black crows knew how to open the fasteners that kept the kit sealed. After making sure everything seems to be in place, Ethan looks over to see Kili has found several treasures the birds had 'found'.

1775While he wasn't too interested what items the Pokemon had taken, Ethan did found a Pokeball. Instead of a red top, it was blue and black, with a zig-zag pattern in the middle of where the two colors met. On the top of the border of the two sides is a yellow crescent moon. "Interesting..." Ethan uses the flashlight to better see the ball's design.

1778Marigold looked over at the pile herself spotting the Dive Ball sitting among the goods as she picked it up in the dark looking it over but didn't really like the pattern spotting the Moon Ball under Ethan's flash light liking the yellow crescent on the black top, "Hey mind if I grab that? You can have this one," she said offering Dive Ball to him

Ethan takes one last look at the Moon Ball in his hand before holding his hand out. "Sure."

With that said, Ethan turns towards the direction they had just came from. With his flashlight to shine the way back, Ethan turns to the others and said "Folks ready to leave?'"

1822Once the group returned tobthe camp and rested up, Kili felt it was time to meet his newest team member properly. Though recalling Buzz being a bit more difficult at first, he had Cerberus and Lucky by his side just to be sure.

1827The bird looked around "Krow?" she knew that she wouldn't stand a chance in a fight.

1830Rather than try to intimidate the bird with numbers, Kili was as happy as ever when he said "Hi, I'm Kili. I dunno how you feel about going with us, but I just wanna tell you one thing." Looking over his shoulder to see he was far enough from everyone to not be heard, he leaned closer to more quietly say "You guys were total amateurs. I don't know if you ever took part in stealing or just orered them around, but those guys got stopped by a really basic trick."

1832Leaning back to a more comfortable sitting position, he said while petting his partner "Me and Lucky here? We got away with it for three or four years in a big city with tons of people around, and even so we're now free. If you come with us, I can show you everything we learned." Now offering a hand to the Honchkrow, he asked "So, you wanna be part of the team?"

1835The Honchkrow preened her feathers and made a few caws as though she were debating pacing with her wings folded back she turned  "Honc, kro...Honchkrow!" she extended a wing as though asking for a handshake.

1837She seemed to be willing to work togather for the time being "Honchkrow." though from her tone she seemed like she had the same idea that Kili had at first to run when a good opportunity showed itself.

1855From the top of the hill a clean and clear trail could be seen with a few other young trainers walking along with their pokemon, though they looked rather worn and tired.

1858Being out of the haunted woods was a welcome change, as Kili could stop peeking behind his shoulder at every stray sound of the forest. Not that it wasn't worth it, considering he now had Carmen and Cerberus, the latter of whom was fitting so well into his team.

1863Marigold shrugged ”Typha said it takes 3 days through Dimwood I don’t know if she said anything about how long it was from the edge of the Valley to ViridIan,” She said as she spotted the weary youngsters ”We could ask those kids or at least start following the path they’re on,” she said pointing the out to the others figuring they were heading to Viridian themselves.

1888Shuddering a bit from recalling the experience, Kili said "Yea, a lot of ghosts. Glad to be out of there." Though his expression turned to pride as he threw his hands behind his neck, smugly claiming "Still worth it, I caught so many new Pokemon after Carrico Town."

While he could have engaged in pickpocketing on the way there, he knew better than to do it without a plan and while carrying a lot of stuff that would slow him down. 2448While the sharpened edges did a bit more against Poi-Poi, the floating rock didn't seem too powerful since it didn't do so well against Poi-Poi. In fact it was up and at it again, eager to prove its strength after being out of action for two days by bubbling the Carbink again.

Ethan showed the nurse the Shelmet in arms before taking out the empty Pokemon Egg Carrier, wondering if the Pokemon Center would accept it back.

2847The inner yard was about the size of a football field only it was plain bare dirt. About twenty  small light blue pokemon milling about smacking each other or rolling in the dirt.

2871Spotting a group near the center Margiold carefully climbed over the fence letting out Aster ”Walk with me Aster if  Phanpy gets close make friends with them,” She said remembering that Giovanni’s rule was only that she couldn’t touch them there was no rule that Aster couldn’t so long as the Phanpy didn’t get hurt as she approached the center group laying out some food for them before backing off

2877"This challenge is so dumb." Kili sat on the ground, considering his options. Trying to ward off areas with a repel wasn't an option unless he got them way closer to the fences, as they'd just go around. Most of his Pokemon weren't trained for this kind of thing. At most Cerberus could scare them away, though directing that would be almost impossible. He couldn't act as a barrier either since these Pokemon were allowed to touch and instantly fail him.

2882”Huh...new plan Aster let’s follow these guys  but give them room,” She said walking with Aster staying a bit away from the Phanpy but still following them slowly maneuvering them toward the pens

2885"Phanpy, the Long Nose Pokémon. Phanpy uses its powerful snout to express affection, not realizing its strength can send you flying. Though they they are ground types they are fond of playing in pools of water and will travel great distances to find new one."

2890Marigold kept an eye on the wild ones making sure Aster stood as far from them as she could not wanting to spark an attack but kept pushing the ordered ones toward the pen

2893"Fond of pools of water. Really?" A small bit of info like that was already enough to form a plan in his head. Heading towards one of the fences, he tapped his partner on the forehead with the ball as he said "Lucky, wait for just a bit, okay?"

2895He then pulled out another ball, letting out the Houndour. "We got some digging to do, Cerberus." At that, he joined in by trying to dig a hole of some depth to the ground. Just enough to make a little pond for the Phanpies with the aid of Poi-Poi.

2898Aster tried her best but couldn't quite mange it and soon they were even more disorganized than before.
2899Cerberus set to work pawing at the hard packed ground but soon he had a hole that was just deep enough that he had some trouble climbing  back out of it.

2902Opal released a similar groan as her plan was tossed out one of the plans she had in her mind.  With that in mind she went around to one of the groups and mentally tried to come up with a plane before thinking of one. With a simple flick of a pokeball she released Jackolyn and smiled at her pokemon saying, "How's it going? how ready are you to coral some pokemon?"

2908Since Cerberus couldn't easily climb out, Kili just recalled him. That's what he had to do anyway. "Good job boy, take a rest."

2910Next up was Poi-Poi, whom he let out next to the pool. "Poi-Poi, use Water Sport. Or Water Gun, whichever would first fill the pool up."

2913The pumpkin blinked rapidly "Booo!"  As Opal looked around it seemed that the Phanpy had scattered all over with no large gatherings.

2928With a smug smirk, Kili walked off. Once again he was the first to complete his part of a challenge though trickery and cleverness. "Great job Poi-Poi." He also recaled the little tadpole, letting his partner back out to his shoulder.

Giovanni sighed "Seth came to save me and Crane at the time had a  Clawitzer hidden nearby that had been altered by someone to make it's attacks even more powerful. 3038Watching the others take off to tackle the challenge alone with their Pokemon, Ethan begins by walking closer to the herd of Phanpys in order to observe them while stay far enough so that he won't arouse their attention. After some thoughts, Ethan looks for a smallish group of Phanpys to approach. "Hey fellas, do you want to take a stroll with me to the other side? Some of your buddies seems to be having fun over there. Maybe we can join them." Ethan points to his end goal for the challenge, where some of the Phanpys are due to others finishing the challenge before him.

Though she did find herself a bit unhappy cause somewhere she knew that she probably could've just ordered the pokemon into their stables, if she'd tried. Rather than doing the honey plan, but the honey plan was the safer option. That part of her was the more depressing side, knowing that she'd tried to take the safer option then the faster one.

He knew the badges were needed to enter the league, but never that they held any special properties like that.
