15// xia is an instant charmer, with her adorable looks and angelic personality it'd be hard to not notice xia. she's so pure and clueless, you probably wouldn't even believe someone like her exists. xia reminds you of that one girl back in the first year of middle school who never learned what puberty was or even heard of it. if you try and gossip about boys around her, she'll just be confused the whole time. xia doesn't get why people are obsessed with love and boys, since she believes that being friends is fine on its own. another thing about xia is that she's your 'cherish the moment' kind of girl. she just appreciates life and doesn't take things for granted. when there's a chance given, she humbly takes it up, not being selfish in the slightest. xia also loves to make people smile. its practically her goal in life; to see people be happy and create smiles everywhere. she's just naturally kindhearted for some strange reason. you can try to hate her and act like a jerk to her, or ever badmouth her straight in front of her face, but she'll still be nice and kind to you. you literally can never stay mad at her. especially when she cries, which is like, most of the time. xia just seems too delicate at that point. when she starts crying hysterically, you can't help but want to protect her. she's literally an angel in human form. but then again she's also quite terrifying and shocks everyone when she's mad. xia hatEs certain things with the biggest passion you will ever see, and boy you don't want to talk about it with her or else she might throw a table in your face. xia hyperventilates when she's mad too, but it's pretty rare, and when she does she starts crying and is just filled with rage. it's a scary sight, even for her parents. when xia dislikes something, its rare because she is such an openminded girl who loves basically almost everything and she just gets so angry when others say or do things she doesnt like. she listens to other's opinions and tries to be as polite and patient as possible. but just because she seems like an angel, xia can most definitely be the devil as well. (but most of the time she's an angel)

17// growing up on the populated streets of shanghai from her birth till now, xia fell in love with the city she saw every day. she loved the city lights, she loved the (occasional) kind people, and she loved the rushing feeling she had every time she set foot in downtown. it was a beautiful place, and every summer break she had, xia begged her mother to go out into the city to explore. it was her favorite thing to do, eating ice cream while strolling along the streets of shanghai with her mother. i guess you could call it 'mother daughter bonding time' but xia's father would always get slightly jealous every time xia would talk about her time together with her mom. its not like xia's mom could do anything about it though, as her husband was always at work for the in-debt family. but even though they were in-debt, xia was happy, and that was what made her parents determined to give xia a nice place to live as they seemed like she deserved it for being such an understanding daughter. as she grew older, xia began to love going out by the balcony of their apartment to stare at the stars and moon. it was her second favorite thing to do, after strolling around shanghai's lit up streets of course. because she was alone at night while watching the stars on her balcony, she'd sing a song or hum some type of melody. she was too shy and had too much stage-fright at the time so she was scared to perform in front of her parents and friends. but what she didn't know was that her voice sounded very sweet and honey-like with a lot of emotion and it was plenty fine as a voice. it was a pleasant sound to the ears, if anyone ever heard her of course. on the other hand, xia's voice never really was all that stable, and because she never told her parents about her passion to sing until high school, they never let her take lessons either. xia was self-taught, including her dancing. after every school day, xia holed up in her room and composed music while also multitasking and doing her homework. it was fun, and xia loved watching the music shows that she saw in korea. they were kind of her inspiration, as she then started to dance and sing to her own composed songs. it also helped her learn korean as well, and it motivated her to take korean up as her second language and not english, which was her original choice.
18when xia was younger and decided to first start composing songs and choreographing dances to them, some songs were poorly written and xia's moves didn't match the beat, but as time went on, xia managed to get the hang of it. at least xia's parents actually knew of her passion for dancing and let her take dance lessons to help her with her in-room music lessons. this continued on for years, and eventually xia's passion for music grew. she told her parents in her first year of high school, who were finally no longer in debt (lol), and they were proud that she had found something she loved to do. they still didn't sign her up for lessons, but that was only because they thought xia was doing well on her own. when she was two years into high school however, xia devoted most of her time to studies and didn't pay much attention to music. this practice went on until her high school years and xia finally decided to take music lessons. kind of. i mean, if you count watching videos online for singing techniques and dance moves, then yeah she took music lessons. it helped her voice a lot, but she still needed a little more work to push her into feeling like she was able to become a real idol. it'd been her dream for the longest time anyways, but xia didn't feel like she was ready enough. and just when the auditions were announced that anyone could apply, xia finally felt like it was her time to shine.
