PANTS ON FIRE
Like Kaede's execution, we see Saihara surrounded by his classmates when the collar comes down and clamps onto his neck and raises him up. Kaede is quicker to act then Saihara and grabs hold of his leg in an attempt to free him. Between Kaede's weight choking him and not wanting to see her get executed alongside her, he thrashes to get her off, messing up her hair so an ahoge pops up before she finally ends up letting go. Saihara's collar releases and he's flung up out of a manhole as the background pops up to form a street leading into seedy looking pier, like the type from noir or gangster stories, at dawn. Saihara's at the street's edge, looking reluctant but resolute, like he knows what he did was wrong and he's going to take the punishment that he deserves. Suddenly, a giant magnifying glass pops out from the horizon, causing the asphalt of the street to burn. Saihara continues to stand there, but his nervousness increases until the light hits Monotaro who combusts and starts melting causing him to be unable to bear his fear any longer and he turns to run. As he's halfway down the pier, the light nicks him, singeing part of his clothes. He starts running faster and not seeing where he's going, he ends up tripping over and getting tangled in a weighted fishing net, stumbling off the pier's edge and sinking into the water and drowning right in front of an aquarium glass for all of his classmates to see.

THREAD OF AGONY
Tojo's execution is mostly unchanged, but in this version, Tojo is chased out by Kaede who's upset and demanding that Tojo explain herself, unsatisfied with the answers she's already given, the crowd blocking the way is also played by Monokuma's, this change is the most menial, but it's the only execution that's he not in which seemed a little weird. Other than those differences, everything plays out as it did in the original.

MAN OF 1000 FATES
Maki has a stone face as she appears on stage in front of large crowd with a judge panel of Monokumas to the side, she's suddenly jabbed by a needle as her body stiffens. Some Monokumas come on stage passing with a giant metal sign with the title of the execution on it and a time starts. The Monokumas lift the sign and Maki is (porly) dressed to look like Momota. Flames rise up beneath her and start to singe her, but her expression stays emotionless. As the flames are about to envelop her, she and the flames hosed down and the Monokuma's block view of her again. She's revealed once again, this time dressed as Ouma, with a now confused look on her face. She's quickly stuffed in a box which is reamed with swords. The box is opened to reveal that Maki has only been grazed by most of the blades, but she is cut up pretty badly. The Monokumas block the scene once again and then Maki reappears as Amami and heavy ball is thrown directly at her face causing it to swell and bruise. The scene is blocked one final time as she reappears as herself, solemnly smiling at the realization that this isn't Kaito's execution and that he didn't betray her after all, in a set up mimicing the trial with 6 other Monokumas. Suddenly, spears erupt from the ground, skewering 5 of the other Monokumas leaving Maki surronded by 'bloodied' spears that are only inches from her face. The timer sounds and the judges give their scores: 0s all around. A vat opens up above Maki, pouring acid down upon her as she melts away.

GRAPHIC ART
We see Angie in a small church with light coming down through a stained glass shining down on her as she prays with a small knife on an alter in front of her. The walls of the church fall down like cardboard, revealing her to be on the beach of a tropical island with a volcano. The volcano erupts and ash quickly comes rushing down as Angie grabs the knife and cuts her hand with it, praying one last time to her god. The ash comes down, petrifying her. Angie opens her eyes, realizing she's not dead, but is now graffiti on a wall. Monokuma comes by dressed as a painter/cleaner and starts painting over the wall. A confused Angie tries to runs away but Monokuma quickly catches up to her and starts to paint away her limbs away until she's totally painted over. Angie again is still not dead and awakens as a stained glass window, this time unable to move, she's force to watch to a Monokuma smashes her with glazing hammer as glass pieces go flying. Camera pans down revealing that the window was to the church. Angie is in shock in the fetal position as she reached over to the knife on the alter and brings it to her throat, as she's about to cut, Monodam suddenly smashes into the screen and we pan to the direction he was thrown from revealing Monokuma as the culprit behind his final child's destruction.

(UN)LOVE(D) MACHINE
Kiiruma finds themselves in an abandoned factory type setting. Kiiruma makes a run for it, accidentally running through a trip wire, that unleashes several swinging blades through their path. Kiiruma has a look of determination that soon turns to bewilderment as the blades clang to the ground uselessly. Kiiruma continues foward stepping on a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt is covered in some sticky white substance that Kiiruma can't escape from as deadly-looking devices border the assembly line. The weapons come down and either fall apart or are dropped onto the belt before they hit them. Finally, at the end of the conveyor belt, Kiiruma is scooped up by a larger scale model of the 'tickle machine' from DRAE. The machine's hand lerch forward like they're about to work the same way in DRAE, before grabbing Kiiruma's limbs and pulling at enormous strength. The machine pulls at maximum strength and short circuits, dropping Kiiruma to the ground who stumbles away before it explodes.

ANOTHER NASTY TORTURE: The Death at the End of This Story
Shinguji attempts to go through the executions that he put others through, but Kaede stops him from killing himself in each one. He runs from the trial room straight to Iruma's execution room where we see him jump off a cleaned conveyor belt and allow himself to be dismemebered by the Tickle Machine. Kaede follows picking up a weapon along the way and uses it to attack the machine's power source and short it out. A trapdoor opens below the tickle machine which Shinguji slides down with Kaede right behind him. The two end up in a real world replica of the church from Angie's execution. Kaede pushes Shinguji down and runs for the knife, pocketing it. The walls of the church of the church fall, revealing them to be on the stage of Shirogane's execution. Kaede quickly grabs the metal sign and hoists it overhead herself and Shinguji, causing the acid to slide off onto the floor as it eats away the metal. Shinguji jumps down the hole and runs down the corridor, coming to Tojo's execution. Kaede manages to catch up and pulls and shakes on the vine, causing it to break just before Shinguji was about to reach the saws. Kaede prepares to catch him, but just as he's about to land in her arms, the collar from the first execution comes down and Shinguji grips it as it pulls him upwards. Kaede latches on to his legs and refuses to let go as he tries to shake her off. The two are slingshotted into Saihara's execution, with one addition: the compactor from Detention is at the end of the dock which is acting as a conveyor belt. Kaede immediately goes to dismantle the laser, using the reflection of the knife to mirror the beam of heat back at its source. As she's doing this, she fails to notice Shinguji sitting on the dock waiting to get crushed Junko-style. Kaede runs as fast as she can, getting tangled in the net in the process, and shoves Shinguji out of the way of the compresser, but causing both of them to sink with the net. As they sink the level of the aquarium glass, Kaede uses the last of her strength to take the shot put ball from her bag and smash it against the glass, shattering it and pushing the two of them out of the water tank as the water gushes out.

Ch 1 Stinger: Kaede dejectedly goes to the library, where Amami's corpse still hasn't been cleaned up. Kaede apologizes to him and Saihara for her actions, but expresses some doubt in her ability to trust everyone and achieve her goals after Saihara did something that didn't match up with her first judgement of him. Kaede pockets the shot put ball as an item to memorialize her failure.
Ch 2 Stinger: Kaede looks for Momota, wanting to talk to him after Tojo's betrayal, but instead finds him telling Maki that he knows she's the SHSL Assassin and that he won't tell anyone to protect her

----

The big difference is that I kinda tried to take away the grosser toxic masculinity aspects of Momota and just makes him an incredibly emotionally honest person who's trying to just become friends with everyone.

Anyway, the latter maifests with his and Maki's relationship beginning a lot earlier in Chapter 1 with him seeing the edgy atmosphere that she gives off and wanting her to try to open herself up more and tell people what she's thinking. Momota tries to be friends with everyone, but he's kinda stuck on how Maki closes herself off.

Kaede also tries to get Maki to be more cheerful with other, having the same beliefs as canon!Kaede that Maki has a good heart in her somewhere, but not nearly as much as Momota does. Kaede kinda picks up on the connection and when she's with the two, she just straight up asks Momota if he's trying to get with her. He answers honestly that he wouldn't mind the option, but he really just wants to see Maki to be able to express herself more. It's made explicit here that Momota isn't trying to make her more cheerful or anything, he just wants her to be less withdrawn from the whole group.
Up until this point, Maki pretty much hates Momota and is seriously thinking about killing him if he doesn't knock it the fuck off, but him being so blunt about this kinda throws her off-guard and she does slowly open up to Momota. Her outlook on her situation slightly changes, she still dislikes 90% of the people there, but she's not automatically thinking of them in terms of "people who I might have to kill" However, Maki makes it clear she's got 0 interest in thinking of Momota as anything more than a friend.

In Chapter 2, Maki is freaked out about the MonoPad motive since her real talent is on it, but obviously can't say anything about it or it'd make her suspicious. Momota tries to find out what's wrong, but his sickness kicks in early in the AU so he can't help out much. However, at the end of Chapter 2, we find out that Momota was the one who received Maki's MonoPad and promises to keep her secret, even though he knows it won't get him anywhere. It's pretty explicitly an arc about these two developing a friendship. (Important to note: Kaede overhears this and she's in an especially bad state after being betrayed by Tojo, so she's basically FUCKING PISSED at these two during Chapter 3)
In Chapter 3, Shirogane takes advantage of that fact that Momota is so sickly to kill and impersonate him (she got his MonoPad in Chapter 2 and pretended to be close friends with him ever since) and frame him for her murder. Kaede is so fucking pissed at Momota that she overlooks details and accidentally helps Shirogane's frame-up and convinces almost everyone that Momota really is the killer, even Maki. Before they can have a vote on it, Maki is so angry at Momota for betraying her trust and friendship that she shoots 'him' right in the middle of the trial. Inadvertantly saving everyone from a game over. Maki pretty much accepts her death and Kaede kinda forms a melancholy bond with Maki before she's sent to be executed (in Shirogane's execution). During the execution, she does realize that Momota didn't betray her and takes that small victory before she dies. The chapter also helps settle Kaede's lingering feelings of everything that's been happening since Ch 1 that's caused her to be confused and doubt herself and she decides to re-integrate herself with everyone else after cutting herself off from everyone in Ch 3.
((there is a lot that's happening that's not getting mentioned since this more focused on those two characters, i didn't even mention how maki forms a small friendship with tenko when they both pretend to join the student council together))
((or how maki's opinion of tojo actually improves after her death rip))

----

Chapter 1 remains mostly the same, the difference is that Saihara gets there before Kaede's ball (doesn't) hit Amami and he ends up killing Amami himself. In this
version, Kaede's attempt to get him to try and be more self confident didn't work and he basically got paranoid enough to co-opt Kaede's plan. When it came time to
betray everyone and get his free out though, the same reason he killed in the first place is why he couldn't take it.

Basically, it's a subversion of the confidence arc that Hajime went through, he lacked confidence so much that he ended up betraying everyone, but couldn't completely
will himself through it

Should I keep going or let you read one chapter at a time?

I also forgot to mention smaller things:
>Saihara's betrayal sets off Kaede's arc of learning how to trust
>Momota tries to befriend Maki from the very start
>Similarly, Angie sets out to get her cult setup from the start too by trying to bond with as many people as possible

----

Anyway, chapter 2 has Tojo as the culprit still, I think I agree with your idea that she should've killed later, but without pushing the backstories back, I don't
think that's really possible. This time around though, she kills Ouma. Her logic is a bit different from wanting to kill someone who wants to die being the easiest to
killing the most obviously willful to hurt another (as Ouma presents himself) is best for the group if she can't succeed. I don't have the murder clearly set up in my
mind, but I think that she either poisons or drugs him with the food she makes.

This chapter basically completely destroys Kaede's trust in others since now two people she thought were her friends and allies have gone on to kill people. Also,
Angie's circle of friends has spread to a good chunk of the students there and Momota's started to crack Maki a little, but his disease starts acting up earlier.

Chapter 3 is kinda interesting I think. I tried to avoid the obligatory "triple death" rule but I fell into it anyway, although I'd like to think my way of doing it
was a bit more interesting.

In this chapter, Angie makes her council like before and Shinguji, Shirogane, Gonta, Yumeno, Kiibo, Maki and Tenko join (the last two are just to spy on in and make
sure it doesn't get crazy).

Momota's disease has gotten pretty bad pretty fast and it's pretty obvious to everyone that something's wrong, but he denies it.

Kaede's mostly trying to stay away from everyone this chapter, but she accidentally ends up bonding with Hoshi since he's also Super Tired.

This murder also serves to push Kaede into her next phase of character development. A body turns up burnt extremely badly wearing Momota's clothing, however Momota
himself is still alive. The person who was killed seems to have been Tsumugi Shirogane (in this version she's not the mastermind, it's not that I don't like her as the
mastermind, but a) having the same mastermind would be boring and b) I liked the wordplay I could get out of the person who is the mastermind in this version). The
trial comes to the conclusion and it looks like Shirogane had attempted to kill and replace Momota, only for him to turn the tables on her and kill her instead. As
their getting ready to vote though, Maki vengefully and sadly kills Momota without thinking, suddenly switching the killer to Maki. The vote goes through and Maki
accepts her death as she goes through an execution that was designed for the killer. The execution and a quick look at "Momota's" body reveals that they had actually
had the wrong scenario and that Momota really was the person killed and Maki basically just saved their life. Kaede rethinks the case over and realizes that she
overlooked evidence that pointed to Kaito being the victim rather than the killer because she chose to deliberately distrust after closing herself off rather than
accept all the possibilities, so she decides to more carefully choose who she trusts and distrusts.

(also just in case it's not clear, shirogane chose to impersonate momota so that her fits of sickness from impersonating a real person could be explained away)

oh btw ch 3's motive is moved to ch 4 and ch 4's motive is moved to ch 5

------

Ch 4 is the probably most messy, honestly it's just because I wanted a big murder set piece before the big last two chapters (although ch 6 for the remake is actually
Barely Even Formed)

ANYWAY, Angie is pretty much controlling the school at this point after Kiibo finally ends up joining them against Iruma's protests.

I don't really have much for the non-murder stuff formed but:
>Yumeno and Tenko get into a fight and their relationship seems to cause a bigger rift than already exists (basically what happens in Ch 3 already)
>Kaede more fully befriends Iruma now that she's basically on her own
>Kaede also tries to learn more about Shinguji and his opinion on their current situation although his lab opens this chapter so he's busying himself with research
(Basically Kaede is trying to get a better read on people and not rely on her first judgement as much)

Now for the murder. So.... Basically most of the student council is killed off, the only survivors being Shinguji, Kiibo, and Yumeno. All the murders happened around
the same time, but the locations were scattered about. The trail reveals Angie as the main perpetrator, basically acting in both Ouma and Gonta's role by trying to
save the people in the student body so they don't have to suffer through anymore deaths, so she ended up poisoning everyone in the student body, herself included.
However, she isn't the culprit because she was killed before the poison took effect. Tenko realized something was wrong after feeling off a bit off and ended up
accidentally killing Angie while interrogating her (this isn't too ic i think tho :\) because of her weakened state from the poison. Tenko didn't tell anyone because
she was in a rush to find a cure as fast as she could and after using Saihara's lab, found an antidote and used it on Yumeno.

As promised by the motive, one person is resurrected: I'm not sure if Angie or Tenko would be revived, but one of them would be revived as a digital avatar, talk to
everyone for a bit and then be executed.

(I didn't mention it, but rather than the "only one murder at a time", Monokuma would tell everyone they get a vote for each murder)

(ngl, i wanted tenko to end up surviving but even in my own story, i couldn't really come up with a compelling arc for her that didn't involve her dying for tenko rip :') )

Also, something I forgot to mention in Ch 4, Kaede has stopped trusting in the memory devices (forget what they're called)

----

I liked the concept of Chapter 5 in V3, but honestly, I though the execution was a bit poor so Chapter 5 in V3 is kinda my take on that, too.

Anyway...
> Monokuma/the Mastermind is freaking out (behind the scenes) because nothing is going quite like he planned at all
> After the last trial, Yumeno is in a depression for how she treated Tenko after Tenko was willing to forego her life to save hers
> Kaede tries to get herself, Yumeno, and Hoshi to bond as people who have all felt like giving up
> Shinguji also tries to bond with everyone, but can't seem to get very far
> Kiibo deals with the fallout of leaving Iruma for the Student Council as those two work out their scuffles

The murder in this chapter seems to happen almost exactly like Chapter 4's, everyone goes into the Neo World Program and when they come out, Iruma is completely
braindead and strangled. During the investigation, Kiibo acts a little weirder than normal, most of the group chalk it up to Kiibo being emotional after the death of
his friend, but Kaede is more suspicious of it. During the trial, it comes to light that the situation is actually a lot different than originally presented: Iruma's
mind is alive inside Kiibo's body. Kiibo and Iruma agreed to this plan to try and break the Trial system by making it so that neither of them were 100% dead.

This puts Monokuma in a panic, not just because he's not sure how to handle this, but also because Iruma being in Kiibo's body means that she's not going to take
orders from the audience like Kiibo would have.

And the problem here is that I'm not really sure how to end this trial. I have a couple ideas, but none of them are really final.

consultant 1
I like the cult angle and the mass death
But yeah, trying to decide if Chabs would accidentally kill during interrogation
Maybe like

Anyway, I did decide on something while thinking about this and I think that the not-mastermind "dies" in Chapter 4 with the cult killing.

Anyway, like I said, Chapter 5 is kinda where the au and sequel branch... I'm not quite sure how they get to final trial in the AU, especially since the ending to
trial 5 but I think it's possible that Kaede manages to put two-and-two together and holds the game hostage.

tl;dr for the AU version, the ringleader in this version also tries to use Kaede as a patsy, because she was supposed to end up being the mastermind, but since she
stopped getting her fake memories updated, she didn't "remember" that she started the killing game

I'm thinking she puts this together and since DanganRonpa games gotta have them 6 chapters, she calls the real mastermind out.

gs-goldstarz
The mastermind in the AU version (who's kinda like the traitor in the sequel version) is Shinguji who acts like the V3 version of the character as a facade, but in
reality doesn't care much for real humans. In reality, he's rather unimpressed by the reality of humans, but is enamored by fictional ones, he gets his talent from
having every DanganRonpa moment, character, and setting memorized perfectly which is what motivated him to join Team DanganRonpa and why he was so excited to make his
own Killing Game

He's a lot like Tsumugi, just in a different facet, basically

gs-goldstarz
Yeah, his talent is what drew me to the idea, the idea that he actually is uninterested in the people of reality despite putting on a facade of being fascinated with
the beauty of humans is stuff that happened afterwards

gs-goldstarz
Another alteration I made for the AU version only is that their personalities are mostly intact since while it'd be cool to speculate, it kinda doesn't really make
sense in the long run. I mean, you don't need to do interviews or anything, if you were just going to overwrite their personalities anyway. You'd just need to pick
the 15 best looking people out of those who applied.

But anyway, once it's revealed that this is all a show, the other people pretty much jump on him and Shinguji kinda shuts everyone out. Because of the character arc
she went through, Kaede decides she actually wants to hear him out and has to fight off everyone else from digging into him to hear him out.

Shinguji makes the opposite argument of Tsumugi (since Tsumugi should've been making that argument anyway) about how fiction means more to him than reality itself.
Kaede uses his argument and uses it against him to convince him that while fiction does have power, you can't ignore the reality of a situation and gets him to let
them all go free.

Also just to make it clear, it's not that Kaede forgives Shinguji or anything, it's just that unlike the V3 cast, she accepts that she's also responsible for the
experience she went through.

gs-goldstarz
Also, not sure if it's obvious or not, but I did want Kaede's character arc to feed into the main plot so that unlike Saihara, she /actually/ needed to be the
protagonist.

consultant 1
Very different from the usual stuff

gs-goldstarz
That's what I was trying to do. I think it's fine if Kodaka still wants to use the HPA arc as a jumping off point, but like, at least do something interesting

My biggest point of contention with V3 is that it posits the DR franchise as being overdone now and it's like not even close

goldstarzzz
Also, Kaede should always be the protag in a V3 au

consultant 2
Absolutely

goldstarzzz
I can tell you some basic stuff if you've got time

consultant 2
I honestly wouldn't be so down on V3 if the protag switch... never happened...

consultant 2
I'd still criticize the flaws but also would be like BUT W/E I GOT TO PLAY A GIRL HOORAY!!!

goldstarzzz
The protag switch happens in reverse in mine because like
Everyone knew Kaede was going to die, let's just be honest with ourselves here
Everyone knew
No one wanted to believe it but like

consultant 2
I don't really understand what Kodaka was thinking
Well, I do, but I don't like it

goldstarzzz
I don't. Inform me lol

consultant 2
but like... if you're gonna do a decoy protag then... the decoy should be a character that this series is already familiar with
Detective in murder mystery game? check. Shy insecure pretty boy? check. Voiced by veteran female VA? check

consultant 2
then its actually, you know, more subversive to switch to a completely different type instead
also it happened cuz the fanbase in Japan is fujoshis and they want their pretty boys and yaoibait, lmao
I'm not bitter tho
But Kaede was just TOO different and it instantly raised alarm bells

goldstarzzz
Saihara is the 'original' MC in my version too, Kaede is a mix of the "Supportive Leader Type" and "The Girl That Likes You" (basically sayaka and twogami)

consultant 2
Yeah exactly
Love Interest turning out to be the main character instead
that's actually refreshing
And turns over that dumb "girl dies to kickstart dude's arc" shit DR loves on its head
but nope lets just... do that a seventh time...

consultant 2

goldstarzzz
in my version she's not even that keen on saihara. like they're friends but she's not like "siahara... the love of my life.... my angle..." like saihara ends up beign lol

He lost his wife of 5 years in the first trial
He knew her. so well.
She was an innocent angel who did nuthin wrong
Part of me kinda hates the ch. 6 twist as well for kinda absolving Kaede of her murder attempt and flaws in general lol
But I also... understand why its there from a story POV... I'm conflicted...

goldstarzzz
I actually don't like it because Shirogane is already kind of a bad mastermind, they really didn't need to make her cheat to drive it home.

Also, in my version, Saihara is still head over heels though which actually is what causes him to Do A Murder.

consultant 2
If I was writing it Chapter 1 would have Kaede do the Despair Death Road shit, she fucks up, she tries to like... make-up with everyone and form a rapport at some point and narrows down who she can trust from there. So you actually have her bond with everyone in some form and not just Love Interest
I think I'd still have her do her murder attempt but somehow a technicality means that Saihara is the culprit.

consultant 2
Or Monokuma just lies when everyone votes for him
Boom there you go lie theme already
See I kinda like Tsumugi cheating there cuz it shows how different she is from Junko
since she'll literally do anything to keep her script on track
even tho Junko also cheats in DR1 which people forget...
but she was much more concerned with the rules and using them to prove her point about despair whereas Tsumugi just doesn't give a toss
I'm a Tsumugi apologist tho haha

goldstarzzz
Junko cheats in a way that doesn't really favor her though.
--
Basically, pretty much everything in Ch 1 happens as usual (with some alteration to speed up some plot points or adjust for characterization changes) and Kaede tries to kill the Mastermind.

The difference is in this version, the ball comes down right when Saihara gets to the library

goldstarzzz
It does hit Amami, but only his shoulder, dislocating it. Saihara puts two-and-two together and in a mix of panic at the time limit and anger at Kaede's apparent betrayal, he ends up using the ball to kill Amami himself

goldstarzzz
Saihara doesn't take the the First Blood Motive for two reasons:
3871) He's waiting on Kaede to take it first so that everyone can know what she did
3882) When it becomes clear she's not stepping forward, he's to anxious to actually claim it in front of everyone

consultant 2
Hmmm interesting change...
So does he kill Amami thinking he's the mastermind?

goldstarzzz
I don't think so

consultant 2
Then actually investigates and is like "...holy shit I also fucked up"

But I might be bitter-biased about him haha

I mean no you're right because like
he's literally not better than any of the other protagonists

goldstarzzz
like it might not be fair since i hc that kyoko knew who the killer was or at least had it narrowed down a lot and only didn't come forward so attention wasn't drawn to her

My problem with Saihara is that when you boil him down to his essential, he's a mix between Naegi and Hinata in a way that just doesn't work.

consultant 2
I think Naegi is a way worse character as, a character but Saihara just annoys me way more
but yeah
I just find him blatant fan pandering and it turns me off

goldstarzzz
Like you can't have him be a "oh im noone special" or "i have no real talents and am useless" while also giving him THE SINGLE MOST USEFUL TALENT IN THE GAME

Honestly, I was really looking forward to Naegi as DR3's protag because I felt the series had really shifted gears away from his mindset since DR1 and I was excited to see how the expanded and reshaped universe would challenge him and his ideals and how he would grow as a character

me @ not!hinata: hey if you're so perfect why didn't you get there 10 hours earlier?

--

okay, so basically after saihara doesn't step forward for the First Blood perk and they go into the trial, the trial basically plays out pretty much the same (shirogane is the mastermind in this one though because I really wanted to do The Obvious Thing with her) and you end up with Kaede admitting guilt and then Saihara goes through the Climax Inference
but during the climax inference, he omits small details like Amami's dislocated arm and Kaede picks up on it and ends up turning the trial on it's head
(That's where you switch over to controlling Kaede)

goldstarzzz
Oh I forgot to mention, the way it's set up it would be like
"Wait, something is missing from here..." making you think it's Saihara realizing there's a wrinkle and not telling you that it's Kaede thinking that until you choose the option

goldstarzzz
Anyway, Saihara eventually admits his guilt, telling how he misinterpreted the situation as Kaede taking advantage of the First Blood perk and ended up trying to take advantage of it himself when she failed
He accepts his death and asks that nobody blame Kaede for what happened (but most people don't really bite because Saihara didn't connect with many people outside of Kaede)
and then his execution plays out

-----

Okay so like

I 1000% agree with you on Maki and Momota, so for my AU I tried to tweak their relationship a bit.
Also I kinda tweaked Momota in general because if Kaede lives then like what the fuck is Dudebro Kaede supposed to do
Consultant 2 - 11/14/2017
this isn't a concrete idea in the slightest lmao cuz I don't really think about Momota a lot, but I would have him eventually get annoyed/jealous of Kaede for being way more natural at the whole leadership/hero thing despite being a GURL and they fall out about it for a while... then he learns to get over himself and learns how much she's actually struggling (such as keeping secrets like she got someone killed so she can barely trust anyone/open up fully, or that since she isn't an ace detective having to do a lot of the work in trials is exhausting)... SOMETHING LIKE THAT
"i dont think about him a lot" (writes a paragraph about how I'd write him) woops but yeah feel free to shout your ideas at me haha
GoldStarz - 11/14/2017

GoldStarz - 11/14/2017
Oh I thought I said before, Shirogane's not the Mastermind or Ringleader this time because I wanted to have her use her talent for the obvious reason. She still has cospox so that it looks like they won't go that direction, which is where Momota's sickness plays into the role

Shirogane is, however, still important to the overall plot
Because she and Amami were the winners of DanganRonpa 52
Her execution (that Maki is put through) very loosely hints at it

Shirogane's probably one of the more tweaked characters, the way she presents herself usually is the same (like the Team DR member in this version), but in this version, she's someone who's Masterminded a DR game and won and while it was fun, it emotionally exhausted her to the point where she's burnt out and just wants to get out alive.

I love her too much as the mastermind to ever change that if I was re-writing V3 but that's actually an interesting angle
I was confused about cospox element but I guess you're making Momota's illness at some point give him red skin as well?? So people mistake her cospox for his sickness originally?
Am I reading that right
GoldStarz - 11/14/2017
I am reworking them, yeah
For the record, the Mastermind and the Team DR member/Ringleader are different people in this version
and the reason the person i chose as ringleader in 90% bc i like wordplay too much
Consultant 2 - 11/14/2017

unless you're keeping that a secret for now...
GoldStarz - 11/14/2017
ah no, it's Shinguji
I'm kinda going for the opposite approach that Shirogane actually had. The dude sticks out like a sore thumb and is generally creepy, so I don't you'd ever seriously consider him a Mastermind.
His actual personality is a lot more like Shirogane's, he's a super fan who doesn't actually find much value in acutal humanity outside of pop culture, especially DanganRonpa.

yeah I kinda dislike how they changed it to the more general anthropologist
specifically when he literally always talks about folklore legends and stories in his FTE/main story scenes...
GoldStarz - 11/14/2017
my au's gonna force 'em to put it back >:3c
But yeah, like Shirogane's cosplay ability, Shinguji has pretty much the entire history of DR memorized
not as flashy as Shirogane's thing but it would've been cheaper lmao

well he does do the junko thing of trying to go through all the executions for his own punishment
he'll revive junko's ghost in spirit lmao
Chapter 3's motive actually comes true this time though (but it's moved to Chapter 4)
Consultant 2 - 11/14/2017
I guess that makes sense... gotta re-live ALL the DR execution history
and nice... I always thought having a transfer student for real would've been awesome
(although I'd pick Kaede rather than Rantaro in the V3 canon u3u)(edited)
GoldStarz - 11/14/2017
It doesn't last long though because they're pretty much immediately executed rip
I was just annoyed that the motive basically amounted to nothing. It felt pretty cheap
Consultant 2 - 11/14/2017
Yeah it's kinda nice retrospective foreshadowing like Despair Disease in DR2 but at least the latter motive actually got used
I want my Angie 'resurrecting' someone and parading around her clearly unnatural/not the same replacement dead person as a sign of her divine connection to God
GoldStarz - 11/14/2017
I actually really liked the Despair Disease other than the fact that it literally made Milan kill someone
Consultant 2 - 11/14/2017
lol I like Despair Disease as well
and I like Tsumiki being a killer and being blatant SHSL Despair twist foreshadowing tbh
GoldStarz - 11/14/2017
Angie is the one who gets rez'd lol

Although here instead of getting a replacement goldfish, Angie is just put into the NWP
Consultant 2 - 11/14/2017
I think her killing adds an interesting, darker side to her archetype

I think it was around Ch 3?
but just a quick recap
>You start as Saihara
>He's a fuckboy for Kaede
>Kaede's not really interested but keeps him aroudn
>Momota tries to hit it off w/ Maki from Day 1
>Same w/ Angie, Himiko, and Tenko
>Saihara kills Amami bc he's a fuck and gets executed
>Kaede falls from leadership grace bc she's not a martyr anymore
>Momota and Tojo still support her
>Angie uses the Monpad swap motive to kickstart the student council w/ Himiko and Gonta
>Tojo does a murder bc she thinks Ouma will acutally kill each oteh
>Kaede gets pissed @ her
>Then finds out Momota is keeping secrets from her by not telling her about Maki's real talent
and then we're cauhgt up
Oh also Momota starts getting sick earlier too
Anyway, Kaede pretty much cuts herself out of the loop in Ch 3 because she's (somewhat rightfully) pissed at Momota and pretty much everyone she has put any trust into has ended up a killer
In the meantime, Angie's basically using the vacuum that Kaede's absence created to expand the Student Council and Shinguji, Shirogane, Kiibo, Maki and Tenko join, although the last two aren't sincerely joining as much as scoping it out
Momota's sickness has gotten really bad and even though it's really obvious something bad is happening he keeps telling everyone not to worry
Despite all of this drama happening Kaede is determined to keep herself closed off and not trust anyone and actively tries to avoid people, but by doing this, she ends up always being around the same place as Hoshi who's also staying out of everyone's way.
Since the two always end up in the same place, then end up talking to each other and bonding with each other. Hoshi talks about wanting to know what was on his motive video because he doesn't know what he could possibly have to live for, which Kaede struggles with since she was the one who got Hoshi's motive video and knows there isn't acutally anything on it
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
Oh I remember that last part actually
about Hoshi's video and Kaede having it
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
Yeah I have a full list of who recieved who's motive videos because like, I feel like that was honestly underutilized a lot

now I just wanna know what this version of Tsumugi's motive video is like haha
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
Kaede's motive video's effect is obvious. Ryoma's doesn't play much, but it helps make it more believable that he'd come to trust Miu quickly when we reach the end of the game and everyone's teaming up to take down the mastermind. Iruma gets Kiibo's video bc she's the protag's love interest.
It's basically like
You did this before, do it again. You have all your fucking memories.
It's vague enough so Ouma doesn't figure out "It's a TV Show!" but specific enough that it tell Ouma she ran a Killing Game before
But since Ouma is Ouma, no one can fucking trust him(edited)
Kiibo gets Ouma's video so that he can bond with Ouma as the Rival Character.
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
OH RIGHT YEAH I FORGOT THAT DETAIL ABOUT TSUMUGI
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
Before Ouma gets killed, he tells Kiibo about Shirogane, but Kiibo knows Ouma is SHSL Prankster now so he's not sure whether to buy into it or not

It's not that I don't want to use Ouma because I do. I just don't want him to be the actual rival/villain character
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
Nah I don't think he should be the rival char
it's an AU this is where you experiment
I'm interested in seeing other characters get to play the antagonist role
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017

GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
Ah anyway, Shirogane gets Momota's motive which just makes him easier prey for her. Kaito gets Maki's it's how he knows her talent and actually proves he's not just in it to dick her. Maki gets Tenkos which doesn't play in a major way, but they're friendly towards each other in Ch 3 when they pretend to join the SC. Tenko/Angie/Yumeno/Gonta all get each other's motives that's how Angie nets Yumeno and Gonta for the SC. Gonta gets Kaede's which doesn't have any real payoff other than Gonta is best boy. Shinguji and Tojo get their own motives
Shinguji for obvs reason. Tojo bc she's perfect and also it's her reason to kill.
Back to chapter 3, lol. Shirogane also only joined the SC to basically act as the opposite alibi as she kills Momota by immolation.
She then leaves small traces to suggest that she was the one who was killed and impersonates Momota in the trial
Before I talk about the events of the trial, I just want to say, I REALLY wanted to avoid this pattern because it's way too obvious but I think the way it plays out is at least a good twist on it.
So Kaede is super fucking mad at Momota so she zeroes in on him as a suspect even though there are clear signs that Shirogane is the real killer. It sounds really dumb but the trial is essentially giving you a kinda obvious answer but having the protagonist themselves lead you down a path that makes you think that it's the more simpler truth because of their own personal feelings.
So the "truth" comes out that Momota is the killer and Shirogane starts playing it up a bit and Maki starts getting upset and Shirogane eggs her feelings on
And Maki point-blank shoots her.
So since Maki killed the person who was the culprit, she's now the new culprit. There's obviously some freak out over the fact that Maki just killed a guy in the middle of the trial, but Monokuma points out that there isn't a rule against it, but to keep it from being a concern in the future, he makes it one.
So everyone gets the easy vote of Maki, but since she wasn't the person Monokuma had prepared to be executed, she's put through Shirogane's execution.
Do you wanna read what I have written for the execution? or should i skip to the aftermath
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
Yeah sure!
Also: lol i love Maki just
point blank killing a bitch during the trial
honestly she would
and its a cool concept for actually using Tsumugi's cosplay talent beyond "its meta"
lol
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
Like
Don't mock Maki's feelings after she opened up to you, honestly
She won't fucking hesitate
Anyway, the execution

Tsumugi got off fuckin' easy then, lmfao
Hmmm I can't say I have much suggestions for criticism cuz I feel like I gotta see the execution (hurr!) of an AU before judging
the ideas themselves are interesting!(edited)
It's just how its actually written/handled really
I'm only useful as an editor honestly I've learned recently haha
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
Well this is more in the style of Jess's "How I'd Fix DR3" then a fan fic thing just because I do not have the time or skills to balance all of this
All feedback is good feedback, Consultant 2
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
Ahh I see
honestly I pretty much liked all her ideas as well even if I'd have never thought of some of them haha
Gekkogahara as mastermind would've been awesome
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
It would've had that character actually be relevant lol

Anyway, after seeing the execution, Kaede realized that She Fucked Up by going after Momota so hard and she refuses to let the trial just end like that. After a brief Non-Stop Debate round and a Climax Inference, Kaede solves what really happened to Momota.
Post-trial a couple things happen. Angie gets really fucking pissed that Shirogane basically joined the SC just to cover her tracks in murdering someone and implies that there are gonna be some changes coming and that she's going to go even harder at maintaining order than before. Kaede has a talk with Hoshi and tells him the truth about his motive video, but also tells him that they have other people they can both live for. She feels bad for not confronting the problem with Momota and just deciding to go the opposite extreme that she was starting out by deciding to trust no one and open up to nobody (even if it didn't pan out because she connected with Hoshi). Kiibo has a falling out with Iruma. I don't think I mentioned this before but Kiibo wanted to join the SC but Iruma basically refused to let him join or get involved due to her dislike of spiritual things and a general sense of suspicion. Kiibo thinks he could've stopped Shirogane or at the very least kept them all from almost voting wrong if he had followed his "intuition" instead and leave Iruma for the SC.

Finally the chapter ends with a stinger of Monodam convincing Monofunny to overthrow Monokuma and end the killing game once and for all with another voice encouraging the two of them.
I'm 95% sure what your answer to this will be but do you mind if I talk about Shirogane's character before I go into Ch 4?
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
awww Kaede and Hoshi

and DO I EVEN
NEED 2 ANSWER
(the answer is Yes)
(I love hearing about the 'mugis)
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
Okay so, I didn't mention it because I'm forgetful but
The motive for (this) chapter 3 is that you can change any rule of the Killing Game
If you win the class trial
This is VERY IMPORTANT to Shirogane because like I said before, she was the Mastermind of the last game
Some insight into DR 52. The plot of the last game was kinda similar to V3. It happens in a universe far into the future where Killing Games happened before (presumably not the HPA universe though), however actual documentation of the killing game is are and basically non-existent so there's nothing to preserve information on what the Killing Games were actually like
As SHSL Archivist, Shirogane's character puts together a Killing Game using what little information she has gathered to collect information on Killing Games so that she can keep it preserved for humanity's knowledge for all time.
Around the 3rd or 4th trial or so, the SHSL Adventurer (Amami's character) successfully misleads everyone and gets away with a murder, ending the season.
Both during and after the season, Shirogane and Amami become close friends and while Shirogane loves the franchise, after winning the game in Season 52, she feels really burnt out. It's made worse by the fact that she's the only one who knows that she's in a television game and Amami doesn't remember her at all.
When Monokuma makes a motive to change a rule after a Class Trial, this is basically a way out for her because otherwise she's gotta keep winning or get into a survivor set with at least three people
And that's essentially her real character. She is a really huge fan of the series, but she's just super burnt out and tired of all of this.
She doesn't actually feel particularly strongly about anyone other than Amami, who she already knows and who's death just kinda serves as a reminder that just because she won once doesn't mean she'll win again, and Gonta, who's unconditional kindness she does find genuinely comforting.
To put it another way, she's got depression so she's Automatically Valid lmao
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
honestly extremely relatable re: depression and loving the series but also being burnt the fuck out

GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
That's the idea.
It's also why Shinguji the perma-fan fucking hates her guts when he finds out she's not Super Stoked to be here.
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
how does she survive the 52nd game? if Amami gets away with murder
is it the 2 person rule
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
No it's more like, since she's the Mastermind, she's not killed because Amami got away with murder. Someone getting away with murder is basically considered a win-state for the mastermind.
As is convincing the "survivors" to side with you ie "kill Naegi and stay here forever"
I've thought too much about what win-states would be in a dangnaronpa game show rip
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
I guess you could use that as a reason why Shinguji hates her as well
she isn't a proper Junko mastermind and doesnt get killed when she loses lmfao
me @ tsumugi: you fake ass fan
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
I don't really think someone getting away with murder is technically the Mastermind losing, since they still get what they want out of the game
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
Maybe not technically but all the DR masterminds so far want the killing game to go on as long as possible cuz thats more despair-inducing/exciting so I always feel that they never really want a culprit to win
all that hard work preparing a game going to waste
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
I do agree, I think being a mastermind is a very Catch-22 position
Consultant 2 - 12/10/2017
AI Junko being the exception I guess haha
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017

and then be all about it anyways

GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
So yeah, Shirogane is basically a huge mystery for the rest of the game for why she randomly went rogue and killed the guy who she was basically trying to be best friends with
And you figure out most of this in Ch 6
CH 4 is where things get messy and I mean that both in that it's gone through the most revision and the fact that it has a huge body count

everyone attacks each other with monokuma bottles at the same time
but lol SOUNDS FUN
GoldStarz - 12/10/2017
Nah it's more like
Angie Does A Mass Murder

ok so, the chapter starts with the morning after and monokuma deciding to skip his normal bullshit and straight up just give the kids their motive
but before he can do that, he's monodam and monofunny do the chapter 3 thing and tell their dad to fuck right off and take control of the Killing Game
Most of the students are hesitant to go along with it but Angie steps up to bat and tells everyone that they can trust Monodam because all he ever wanted was friends and now all of them can live peacefully together without any fighting
Monodam then presents them with their new Friendship Motive: They get to decide which deceased student they want to resurrect from the dead
They're given X days to decide who to resurrect, but all votes have to be unanimous and nobody is required to vote
Despite what Angie said about no need for fighting, pretty much everyone's got a lot of friction going on:
> Kaede is trying to reintegrate herself into the group after cutting herself off from everyone in Ch 3 (and before that faling out of favor at the end of Ch 1) as well as trying to convince Hoshi to try and interact with the group more as well
>> At the same time, Kaede has decided to stop using the Flashback Lights after missing the one in Ch 3 and starting to distrust them, which further makes her the odd one out
> Kiibo and Iruma who've been a group the whole game are now seperated as Kiibo joins the SC which puts Iruma all by herself
> Angie lays down stricter rules by the Student Council and also gets Monodam to help officiate them under the guise of helping student safety and facilitating better relationships
>> This forces Tenko to speak out against Angie, which accidentally outs her as a non-believer and further puts her in Yumeno's bad graces
> Gonta is confused as to why more people aren't supportive of the SC since they're just trying to make everyone feel safer in the school
> Shinguji is basically completely unconcerned with everyone's problems despite being a SC member since his lab has opened up for him to do research (Kaede tries to reach out to him to get to know him better but he's hardcore into his studies so she can't get a read on him)
A few days go by, Kaede manages to mend her relationships with most people and ever forges a friendship with Iruma who's not doing as well on her own and has been doing some contemplating in her alone time. Hoshi also manages to forge a relationship with Iruma but also gets rather close to Kiibo in a short amount of time.

The day before the deadline for the vote, Angie announces that she's taken notice of the poor situation that everyone's in and is hoping to mend everyone's relationship with a late-night communal dinner hosted by the Student Council where everyone is invited. Despite the offer, Kaede, Iruma, and Hoshi decide to stay in, not wanting to get in Angie's way. Everyone else seems to go to the dinner, though.
That night, the three have a discussion and decide to try and end things peacefully with Angie and convince her to end the SC now that Monodam has seemingly killed Monokuma for good and everyone can look for a way out of the school peacefully now. They all agree that Kaede should be the one to talk to Angie since Iruma won't be able to get two words in before getting the urge to rip her apart and Hoshi hasn't had much presence among everyone like Kaede has
The next day, Kaede seeks out Gonta since he's been the most reasonable of the SC "founders" and the most willing to understand both sides of the situation to help her talk to Angie. He agrees since he doesn't want anyone to fight anymore and so he takes Kaede to where Angie is and they find her dead body, having been stabbed multiple times all over her body.

Also brb, I gotta take care of something for like 5 seconds sorrry
Okay, back sorry, but before I really get into The Murder Time, any thoughts or criticisms?

I don't have a solid place, but I think it was her art lab, yeah
Consultant 2 - 12/20/2017
if so then this makes more sense as a locked room murder where everyone else could've had an opportunity re: the dinner rather than like. 3 people. in canon (and shinguji)
I think the most surprising thing is iruma + hoshi becoming friendly
lmao
also I was trying to make a #KaitoDies meme involving that cg with Ouma holding the Monokubs Pad in ch. 2 trial

and causing more dynamics to break and be fuck-y
which is nice
as long as you have the SC be more actively oppressive of the non-members I'm good :ok_hand: with this turn of events

I find it annoying cuz in canon like
the SC are like
completely reasonable
with their rules
lmfao
and everyone's like BUT MY FREEDOM
and its like oh you barely are being oppressed
and YOU'RE IN A MURDER GAME CURFEW IS A REASONABLE START
like I get the point is that she's on a power trip but it never really
came across that way well
so AU Angie must be even more actively awful about her SC honestly
GoldStarz - 12/20/2017
The point of AU Angie is to be a well-intentioned extremist. She starts small but as her efforts continually fail to produce results she gets tighter and tighter
Consultant 2 - 12/20/2017
thats what I mean
thats why I like it being gradually built up
instead of well she had this idea in ch. 3 and then died 2 secs later so who cares
like barely getting a chance to do... anything
GoldStarz - 12/20/2017
Ch 3's murder particularl upset her because the Shirogane used the SC to create her alibi
Okay so, into the murder zone, then?

Okay, so Kaede and Gonta find Angie's dead body, but the Body Discovery Announcement doesn't go off for some reason, Monodam shows up and tells the two that he disables the BDA since he didn't think they'd need it anymore now that they're all good friends.

Gonta and Kaede have a brief panic before agreeing to split up and get everyone together. Gonta will search the rest of the main shcool building for everyone and Kaede will go to the dormitories to check out if anyone is hanging around there.
Kaede goes to the dormitories and knock on all the lower floor doors before going upstairs, as she's about to go up, though, Tenko comes tumbling down the balcony onto the floor below.

Kaede goes to check out the body but then realizes she can catch the killer red-handed and so she runs upstairs. Once upstairs, she sees that Yumeno's door is ajar and investigates but doesn't find her there. She then hears the door to the dorms open and close and runs down in hopes of finding out who just left, but doesn't find anyone there.

Kaede runs back to meet with Gonta and bumps into Hoshi and Kiibo along the way and tellls them about the situation. Hoshi decides to go guard/investigate Tenko's death while Kiibo comes with Kaede to look at the original crime scene. The two find Iruma guarding Angie's lab and Iruma tells the two that Gonta brought her here but suddenly got antsy and said he had a bad feeling and ran off.
brb for a sec
back, sorry
Suddenly, they here a cry for help nearby and rush outside of Shinguji's door, hearing him yell stuff about his sister's spirit before there's an explosion from behind the door. The three run in and find charred pieces of Shinguji's body spread across the room with a bunch of parts from Monofunny's detonated body.
A sleepy, but red-eyedYumeno comes walking into the room and only barely seems to register the fact that one of her classmates was just violently killed by attacking Monofunny. She asks for one of them to come with her because she's got something important to show them. Kaede and Kiibo both say they'll come with her and argue over who should stay guard. Iruma intervenes and says the bodies are close enough together that she can keep an eye on them. Yumeno then takes the two to outside the pool where they find Gonta lying on the ground, seemingly reaching for something, with his suit ripped apart and scratches all over his body.

anyway, Kaede starts with investigating Yumeno's room, where she finds syringes and medicinal bottles. She realizes that these were taken from Saihara's lab and goes to investigate there. There, she finds a book of poison and discovers that some of the poisions that were stored in Saihara's lab were stolen.

ok!
This case is kinda messy so a lot of details are kinda wishy-washy so i'm trying to structure this the best i can lmao
GoldStarz - 12/20/2017
Kaede tries to interrogate Yumeno, but she's a little out of it and refuses to talk to her. Kaede tries to open her up to casual conversation, asking her about the dinner was and Yumeno perks up a bit and tells Kaede about how the SC all worked together on the dinner and made something different for the dinner. Angie helped make stew from her island that's supposed to help enhance spiritual connection, Yumeno cooked some rabbit, and Gonta made grasshopper cake, which Yumeno thought was weird since the bugs he showed off before looked more like flies than grasshoppers and they tasted kinda minty. Shinguji brought some kind of drink that was prepared in ancient times made of carrion, raw onion, and ketchup that no one wanted to try. Kiibo wanted to make something but Angie forbade him from touching a stove.
Kiibo was about to cite robophobia before Angie called Kiibo a machine elitist for wanting to use an oven without thinking about it's feelings, leaving him at a loss. Despite no longer being a SC member, Tenko reluctantly showed up to make sure everyone was doing okay but things got awkward and she left before the main course.
GoldStarz - 12/20/2017
Yumeno also talks about how the gardens were one of Angie's favorite places to hang around.

Kaede goes to visit Angie and Shinguji's bodies, where she finds Monodam mourning his dead sister. Iruma says that Shinguji's death is pretty open-and-shut case: Monofunny went to visit him when he was invested and he flipped his lid because he was busy studying and killed her, accidentally killing herself. Kaede agrees that seems like what happened, but that doesn't seem like him, even if Kaede admits she didn't know him that well.
Kaede goes to check out Angie's body and finds that she has been stabbed all over her body, both the from and back, but that the stabbing are clustered around the same areas. While investigating the room, she also finds a knife, what looks to be the murder weapon, hidden away underneath a floodboard with a small passageway that seems to small to fit through.
GoldStarz - 12/20/2017
I forgot to mention, but Kaede investigate Gonta's body and found blood underneath his fingernails and found his body to be really hot temperature wise
GoldStarz - 12/20/2017
The last body investigated in Tenko, who Hoshi notes there's a surprising lack of blood for her kind of fall. Further examination of her body reveals that there were some scratches on her hand, fingernail imprints on the back of her neck, and her face is slightly discolored, showing that she had died from a lack of oxygen.
That's about it for the investigation. Kaede decides she's got pretty much as much information as she's going to get out of everyone and tries to round everyone up, but they're confused as to what to do. They decide to follow the original plan and go to the trial grounds to vote on who to "revive."
December 21, 2017
GoldStarz - 12/21/2017
The trial grounds open up and Monodam sternly states that they're not here to worry about any murdered or murderers and that they should just use the latests incident to fuel their discussion on who to revive.
Everyone ignores him and goes right into their hypotheses.
Yumeno immediately accuses Kaede, Hoshi, and Iruma of being to prime suspects since they're the only ones who aren't apart of the SC. (it's pretty much immediately pointed out that tenko wasn't apart of the SC when she died and that the organization is all but dissovled at this point)

Iruma wants to think that Angie somehow killed everyone, but admits that there's no was she could kill from beyond the grave without using magic, which doesn't exist. (this is poorly phrased, but i think the idea comes across)

Kiibo thinks that Yumeno is actually the most likely suspect since she was missing for most of the murders and only turned up at the last body.

Hoshi points out the seemingly obvious connection between the murders, all but Angie's seem to be suicides. Gonta scratches himself up, Tenko threw herself off the balcony, and Shinguji blew himself up by killing Monofunny.

Kaede agrees with Hoshi to an extent, but points out the weird situations of each death: Gonta's high body temperature, Tenko's suffocation, Shinguji's strange rant. Kaede brings up the actual common thread of these murders: each person was alone when they died.

Kiibo tries to counter by pointing out the back of Tenko's neck, but Kaede points out that they were at the back of Tenko's neck. A person choking her from behind would have made marks on the front.
Eventually, Kaede manages to get to the point, every death was caused by a poision.

Kiibo reaffirms suspiscion onto Yumeno due to the drugs found in her room, but once again is shot down, those drugs didn't have the same symptoms that everyone displayed. Kaede asks Yumeno to show her arm to everyone and there are tiny poke marks over her arm.

Kaede reveals the truth: The poison found in Yumeno's room was actually used to save her. During dinner last night, the dish that Angie served used a very deadly plant that when not prepared properly, can cause anticholineric poisoning which has side effects such as hyperthermia, shortness of breath, cardiac arrest, and auditory hallucination (kinda, the actual poision can cause full-on hallucination and is fast-acting, but I'd obviously use a fake name for a fake poison, this is just what it's based on). The poison found in Yumeno's room, which was stolen from Saihara's lab was a phsyostigmine which, while toxic on it's own, can be used to fend of the effect of anticholineric poisoning.(edited)
Iruma expresses confusion as to why Yumeno doesn't know this already if she's the one who had it. Kaede hypothesizes a scenario where Tenko keps tabs on Angie and discovered her plot afterwards. She worked to find a cure, not for her, but to save Yumeno, and although she managed to find out how to stop the poision, she only had enough time to save Yumeno rather than herself.

Yumeno is deeply affected by the realization that Tenko actually cared about her enough to save her over herself and has a (small) breakdown over how dismissive she was to Tenko and her feelings. The trial goes on for a little bit more with Yumeno deciding that Tenko must have killed Angie out of revenge, even though there's mounting evidence that Angie killed herself with the help of a patner to clean up.

Kaede makes the final accusation: Angie used her plant in some soup at dinner time and everyone there (except Kiibo bc he's a robot) ingested a slow-acting poison. Tenko, being nosy, spied on Angie and realized her attempt to poison everyone. Later that night, Angie locked herself inside her lab and stabbed herself repeatedly using something to the knife down so she could stab her back as well. Then as she bled out, she had a partner dispose of the knife and exit through a small passage, too small for a human. That was fine though, because her partner was Monodam! Then, throughout the day everyone who went to the dinner started to feel the effects of the poison, however Yumeno was saved thanks to Tenko injecting her with an antitoxin in her sleep. Sadly, Tenko, Gonta, and Shinguji weren't able to make it out alive.
Everyone votes (I didn't mention it before, but Amami was asking questions a mile a minute at the start of Chapter 1 and so everyone votes for each body for the killer) and Angie ends up with 19 votes and Tenko with 1.(edited)
Monodam thanks them for voting for who they most want to see again and Angie's death portrait flickers, revealing that it's a screen as a virtual Angie appears.
Yumeno is sad because she thought that since Tenko killed Angie, that Tenko would be the one appearing.

Kiibo tries to argue that Yumeno's vote for Tenko doesn't make the vote unanimous but Angie points out that everyone still voted for her, even if every vote wasn't for her. She also asks Kiibo if they have a thing for girls shutting them down or if he's just got some really bad voices guiding him.(edited)
GoldStarz - 12/21/2017
Kaede asks Angie why she tried to kill everyone in the Student Council that she herself created. Angie responds by telling Kaede that she's thinking too small and that her reasons are the same as they always were.
Angie wanted everyone to die. She'd worked with Monodam to convince him to take over from Monokuma so that they could have a safe environment together, but despite that, nobody was actually getting along. In fact, people seemed more at each other's throats than ever and Angie was sure that another murder would occur. So, Angie talked with Monodam for a end-all plan. If people weren't safe and happy living without fear, then the only real way to make them safe was to make them not living and send them to the afterlife.
If they hadn't voted for her in the trial, then Monodam would've considered it a class trial, but since they did all vote for her, she'd be resurrected through an AI anyway. A win-win.
She tells them, that she'll be back soon and she'll make sure to send them off peacefully when she does.
Then we cut to the usual GAME OVER screen only now it says "GAME CLEAR" with Angie and Monodam celebrating before flashing back to "GAME OVER" for a second before the screen ends

Monokuma proudly announces his return and tells everyone that the dumb friendship game is over and the Killing Game is back on. The rising tension from Monokuma's reappearance and the awkwardness through out the trail has Iruma suddenly spurt out an apology to Kiibo and she admits that she does care about him as a friend. Kiibo accepts Iruma's apology and says he should've been more careful about who to trust since the SC was obviously the wrong place to put faith into. Yumeno wipes her tears and says she can't keep acting like a kid and says she won't let herself waste the life that Tenko saved by killing or dying and promises to work with everyone to get out of the Killing Game.... Even Iruma. Kaede takes advantage of what's going on to convince everyone to work together to stop the Killing Game once and for all and throws their cooperation back into Monokuma's face, telling him that they can definitely work together as long as their united by their disdain for him.
The final scene of the chapter takes place late at night, where a shadowy figure breaks into Kiibo's room and take him away, declaring that they've found the real Mastermind behind this game.
And that's the chapter. Sorry it's so messy but there are a lot of details for this one. I look forward to your thoughts
