73ahania started life in 2007 as mebious.co.uk's "loli lurker". on twitter, i went by my real name, and was very public about thoughts that should be kept in dark corners, thoughts that i think might have been repressed up until then. that's when i felt the thrill of the wired. no more unconscious repression, no more conscious inhibition. here was a place where i could be myself and people would like me for it.

75in 2009, i started high school. people from school found my twitter under my real name and reacted appropriately. in ignominy, i deleted it. i created a new real-name account, and branched my subconscious into a separate account. i chose a name from william blake's prophetic books: "ahania". ahania, an emanation of the god albion, represents the pursuit of knowledge and pleasure.

77i created my first ahania twitter account that year, although i wasn't to use an ahania tripcode until the next year, instead using my original trip from wakachan and (contemporarily? or not?) megachan, Kuro!Lain5DexI2. i was to abandon, delete, and create many ahania twitter accounts. i also started to use the ahania nick on irc.

79i don't actually remember when i first called myself ahania. i have memory holes corresponding to my first manic episode in '09, and when i was first beginning to question ahania i had to look up the name. so, ahania had a suspicious genesis.

81i don't remember much of 2010 or 2011, only school bullying, so i don't know what ahania was up to during those years.

83in 2012, i was involuntarily committed. during my incarceration, i became badly manic. i behaved erratically and dissociated frequently. i constructed elaborate rituals around blood. i dedicated them to the trinity of lain, eris, and lily chou-chou. i bought a bear suit to become the lain. i don't remember this part, but apparently i painted my face with blood in imitation of an anthropomorphic pooka, and another patient told me it looked like cracky. my lain trinity became a quadrality. as i came back to myself, i took to doing cracky makeup with lipstick. you've probably seen the pictures of that. i have never consciously posted the blood pictures - i assume i took pictures - but they, too, are probably out there somewhere. the hospital around me was a very stressful place to be, so i immersed myself in the wired world. as this progressed, my memory grew more and more patchy. i am told that i hit a nurse for calling me by my real name, insisting on being called ahania. i also have the vague idea that i did the same to my mother when ahania had just begun. i drowned in the surface of my tablet and became, in my bear suit and cat ears, ahania.

85i was released from that stay in 2013. by this point, i no longer used any online account associated with my real name. i was disgusted by my meatspace self. my negative symptoms and dissociation grew worse, and people told me that when i dissociated my speech became faster and sounded more scottish, and i walked with one foot in front of the other like a catwalk model. i used the name ahania in my conscious life to carry on a dissociative mania and a growing delusion that i was in fact ahania and lived in the wired. i took pictures of myself in a white slip, surrounded by my old macintoshes and bbc micros, wrapped in cables. i held a toy dog that a primary school friend had given me as bike-chan. everything in my room apart from my bed and my computers was covered in dust. i didn't open my mail.

87as all this continued, i became increasingly aware that my small group of friends on mebious had become a modest but devoted following. i derived comfort and support from this. many were lolicons, and i can pinpoint on this my fear of partners leaving me when i get too old. i, or at least ahania, fell in love with a fellow lain fan and philosophy enthusiast, and she appeared to reciprocate. we became a mebious power couple. i would wake up some days, check my email, and find i'd sent her explicit pictures without remembering. however, she left me. this affected me very badly, and i went to sleep one night and woke up covered in poop being laden into an ambulance. i don't remember it, but apparently i'd overdosed on something and had a seizure. i remember feeling profoundly peaceful as i went to sleep that night, but nothing else. i later discovered that the "girl" was a constructed identity. i still worry about what happened to those images.

89after spending 2013 and early 2014 in and out of hospital, i took 2014 off school. the neet life drove me further into becoming ahania. i'd wear a bear suit and cat ears all of the time, night and day. i was manic. i wasn't sleeping. i was addicted to irc, and whiled away the early hours by planning out the ideal pc - of course, i could never afford even the case. i read constantly, mostly cyberpunk and philosophy. i grew obsessed with buddhist meditation, sometimes sitting from seven in the evening to seven the next morning. i hallucinated constantly, light people and shadow people. i abused robitussin to the extent that i once blacked out. i experimented with other drugs. i became addicted to temazepam and diazepam. after a night alone in my room of drinking and benzos i'd come to and find my twitter feed full of odes to them. my dissociation had mostly gone away, though.

91i went back to school in aug 2014, but i was badly depressed and psychotic in september so i missed school until november. when i was out, i barely moved from being propped up in bed with my tablet. i tweeted constantly and ran a small but active imageboard. my mind reacted badly to going back to the real world. i had conversion symptoms and panic attacks and derealisation. my mind was drawn irresistibly back to the ahania identity. i'd have an absence seizure and, rather than simply staring, babble about the goddesses of the wired in a thick scottish accent. i'd tweet as ahania under my desk. i'd do anything to stay wired to ahania.

932015 was a pivotal year. my behaviour had become less erratic by the time the school summer holidays ended, but i still lived half of my life as ahania. maybe he wasn't the first to recognise it, but shiva was the first to call me out on the mania and grandiosity of the easterncalc site and of ahania. i did terrible things to people as ahania. i've deleted everything i still have the password for that represents ahania. i still get sleep dep kicks that throw me back into the ahania mythos, and i have a lot of trouble with intrusive thoughts and unreal sensations from ahania, but she is gone from the public world and that is the first step.

491I'll do my best to answer the questions you all have already raised, as well as tell the story from my side, so perhaps you can see the motives in some of the actions I have taken that seem questionable to you all.

493To start with the easy part, my real info is on the easterncalc domain because, as far as I can tell, the .us registry requires it. Obviously that's a pretty big misstep of mine if there is whois anonymization available and I missed it. I bought that domain because i saw it was available for extremely cheap, and since it was a part of mebious history, I bought it for the lols and pointed it to wirechan when that new imageboard was opened. For reference, I also own mebious.com, lainboo.ru, and lain.wiki. I do not own mebio.us, but it does point to my server, because I offered to host the site. It makes it more convenient to use the same server for all the content I have tried to facilitate.

495I joined the Lain (specifically mebious) community in roughly 2009, and was active on mebious.co.uk for several years afterwards. Over time, many other individuals made themselves known, and we started to form a community. It was suggested we move to somewhere more convenient to communicate, so #mebious on rizon was formed. From the start, ahania was another one of the most active users there. I also ran into here on other sites, such as megachan, and ended up meeting her multiple times as multiple identities. It came as a surprise when I realized how many times I knew her, and over time, we became good friends. In 2014, I took a vacation to the UK; not to visit her, but because I wanted to see the country. Things did work out, however, and I got to meet her in person. The few hours we interacted were entirely in public, at a coffee shop and park. Shortly afterwards, she drifted away from the community; as she later admitted to me in one of our last conversations, and iirc is mentioned in that last gospel, this was because she was becoming more and more harassed by members of the community that took great issue with the interactions between her and I. It hurt me deeply that someone in the community would act with such hostility to someone that was in such a tough place mentally; I badly wanted to be at least one friend that she could count on since she was so alone irl. I believe this is all I have to say about ahania, because we have not talked in the last two years.

497Some of you have pointed out that mebio.us has become rife with censorship, and that is unfortunately true. Starting just over two years ago, someone began posting my personal information on the site and others, and letting everyone know that I am a pedophile, I have cp, I raped ahania, and that I rape babies. Of course I deleted this sort of content. Would you allow it to stay on a website you own? He also began posting my employer's info, as he has done here, and encouraged people to call them and the police to let them know of my supposed crimes. I did not write the code for mebio.us, I only hots it, but the creator was kind enough to volunteer to modify the site in an attempt to stop this person. If you have never been doxed, and accused of this kind of soykaf, it may be easy for you to think you would laugh it off, and say that obviously it's not true and that no one cares. Yet here we are, several years later, and without any real evidence of any wrongdoing, this same person is continuing to try to humiliate me and ruin my life. It would be trivial for some sympathetic police officer to take up this case, and with no evidence, put me in a situation to ruin my life. An employer could easily decide that an employee that is the center of these kinds of accusations is not worth having around, and suddenly I am without a job, through no fault of my own. This is why I have continued to tighten the screws on that website, because it is mentally draining to be the victim of this kind of attack.

499For the entire time this has been ongoing, the attack style and language of the accusations has been extremely consistent. While I have no doubt that I have occasionally made a mistake and derezzed a mere sympathetic ear rather than the actual attacker, for the most part I feel like my intuition on what posts are his has been accurate. He has used proxies and tor, so that literally every set of posts has been from a different ip, and more often than not, those ips are known proxies or tor exit nodes. (as in, he will sometimes post multiple times in a row from the same ip) At this point, I realize that banning the ips he posts from is pointless, but I'm just tired. Any effort that might for just a little while hold off the harassment I am experiencing feels like something worth doing at this point.

501Someone alluded to the fact that I believe the person doing this to me is the same person that posed as ticks/Emily. While I can't show you any concrete evidence as it has mostly faded away, it is pretty clear to anyone that was in the mebious community that ticks was a creation of @skjvr (twitter). He was someone that apparently knew ticks, and one at least two occasions it appeared that he visited ticks in person. Ticks owned @lains_diary (also twitter). A while ago, I believe 2 or 3 years ago, she apparently died of a drug overdose/suicide. This was announced to the #mebious channel and twitter by skjvr. Shortly afterwards, that twitter bot, and her tumblr, became property of his, and he continued operating them. Both of them had extremely similar writing styles and behaviors.

I have seen a certain spammer constantly post text that encrouaged rape and abuse of children, ahania, and Lain. When THOSE posts appeared, I absolutely did delete that is the filth I admitted to seeing and deleting. I never said that cp was never posted, only that I never saw it myself. I almost exclusively read the site via rss, and only load it to post, so I don't really ever see or pay attention to the images. It is entirely possible that cp has been posted, and other people moderating it have cleaned it up, but I am not aware of that happening myself. I have no idea how many people are on the rss feed, finding that out would require crawling the httpd logs and identifying all pageloads by rssbots.
