1> You are now Roy Carter.
2> You wake up in this filth of a room that barely has any space to do anything. It's crowded and suffocating in here. The bed is nothing but an iron bedpost with no actual mattress or blankets. It's cold, the lightning sucks, and you don't know where you are.
3> The door is sealed shut, you're handcuffed, and you can see a small pet carrier box at the back of your room.
4> At your door, there is only a small window that you could potentially see out of. You can hear yelling from the door across from you, shouting their heads off about something you can't quite comprehend just yet due to your grogginess from waking up.

7> What would you like to do
8
9Roy:
10> WhatTheFuck.png
11
12> Wake up and look around. Your vision's a little bit blurry, and you feel like you're still waking up, but...this doesn't look like the car, Ru's house, or the hospital.
13
14> You go to rub some of that sleep out of your eyes, and that's when you notice them: handcuffs.
15
16> Re-examine your surroundings with context. Small room. Horrible bed. Toilet.
17
18> ...god damn it, did you get arrested again? What the hell happened? Where's Abi? How long have you been out?
19
20> ...is that a pet carrier?
21
22> Inspect the pet carrier box.
23
24> You examine the pet carrier box, inside is the tiny kitten that was once in your car. It's silent and huddled into a corner, obviously terrified.
25> A putrid stench rises from the carrier. Now that you've gotten close to the carrier it's all you seem to be able to smell.
26
27Roy:
28> Gag.
29
30Roy: Shit, fuckin' nasty...
31
32> What kind of prison lets you keep your kitten with you?
33
34> ...shit, did they get the car?
35
36> Can you try and open the carrier with your handcuffed hands?
37
38Roy: Are you fucking kidding me right now...?
39
40> Sigh, check out that window.
41
42> What the fuck happened again? You went to Ru's place, you guys talked, she gave you some tea and
43
44> Oh right roofies
45
46> You take a look out the window and you can see another door directly across from you. There's movement inside. Someone's in it. To your left, you can just barely see another door while to the right you can also just barely see another door.
47> not done
48
49> Your head has cleared enough so that you can finally understand what is being shouted. You can also tell that it's coming from directly in front of you. Whoever's in the room across from you doesn't seem thrilled. It's marked with the number "14"
50
51???: PLEASE! I'M TELLING YOU! IT WASN'T REAL! I DESERVE A GOD DAMNED LAWYER AT THE LEAST!
52
53Roy:
54> Let's get social
55
56Roy: Yo! Hey! 14! Yeah, you, the one yelling and shit. What's going on?
57
58> The person across from you looks through their window at you.
59
6014: Shit-fuck-shit. You're fucked. That's what's going on. You're fucked beyond sideways and I'm FUCKING fucked too!
61> there's a slam on the other door, you get the idea that he must have hit it or something as he disappears from the window again.
62
6314: Do you have any idea how fucked this is? It's pretty fucking fucked. You get a little drunk and do one little party trick and everyone loses their god damned mind.
64
65Roy: . . .
66
67> Well. You definitely didn't get arrested for that one trick you did at that one party, but you probably could have been.
68
69Roy: Yeah, well, it seems pretty fucked then...but it's also not really my first time in one of these kinds of places.
70
71Roy: ...what kind of trick was it? Like, some sort of sleight of hand fake magic stuff?
72
7314: I hardly even remember, fuckin smoke rings I think??? Does it even matter?
74
75Roy:
76> Fuck. This guy's not gonna even be able to help you pick pocket anybody for a key or something.
77
78> Maybe, somehow, smoke rings will come in handy.
79
80Roy: No, not really I guess. But what else are we gonna talk about in here?
81
8214: How about how much I don't belong here?
83
84Roy: You can try, but I mean, I don't think anybody's listening. If it makes you feel any better, I'll hear you out.
85
8614: No??? I'm going to d i e because some asshole screamed "Black Magic!"
8714: How could I possibly feel better?
88
89Roy: You mean, like, locked up and the key thrown away die, or executed die?
90
9114: E x e c u t e d.
9214: In case you haven't noticed, We're the only fuckin ones in here.
9314: That's because everyone else is d e a d
94
95Roy:
96> Consider this important new information. Form a formal response.
97
98Roy: Well, fuck. That's...not good.
99
100Roy: You wanna keep complaining to nobody, or do you wanna start looking around your room for anything to help?
101
10214: What, you don't think i've tried???
103
104Roy: Well, no. But, maybe two heads are better than one on this. How about you tell me what you found?
105
106> Begin inspecting your own room as well. Check the underside of the desk looking thing.
107
108> Also consider 14's position. Smoke rings, huh? Was he smoking anything at the time, or...? And he said he was drunk too...
109
110> Roll Perception
111
112Roy:
113Perception > 5
114
11514 > 4
116
117> You two search around your rooms. You don't really find much besides dirt, grime, and other unhealthy looking substances. You find that even your beds are bolted to the ground and you can't really lift anything besides the cat carrier. 14 can't find anything either.
118
119> No cameras around either?
120
121> You find a camera in the top right of your cell. It seems to be protected by a sphere around it so. You can't see the camera behind the dark covering, but you can see a red bulb off to the side of it.
122
123Roy: ...well, I didn't find jack shit. Looks like these guys are enjoying the show though.
124
125> You should have gone to the beach.
126
12714: Same....fuck.
128
129Roy: ...hey, I know you were drunk, but...do you remember anything about those smoke rings? Were you actually smoking anything when you made them?
130
131Roy: Also, I don't have any ideas, but I'm trying something.
132
133>Try and gather grime and muk up off the ground.
134
13514: Well it was more like vaping? It was just weed and they were just...any ol' ring? Look dude-I don't know what the hell you have, but i'm not special.
136
137> You successful make a completely healthy life choice. <
138
139> Just to be clear, is there a sink and toilet in here like in the pic? /SHOT
140
141> yes
142
143Roy: Aw, fuck, that's disgusting...sorry, not talking about you, I'm doing something...anyways. Look, y'know, the thing is people don't always know that they've got something, and if you've got the slightest chance of having something, now would be a really good time for it to come out. So, have you had anything weird going on? Anything fire related, or smoke related, or anything?
144
145> Attempt to clog the sink's drain with the grime and muk, before turning the sink on at full force.
146
14714: I am a completely normal person-thus I should not BE IN HERE
148> he shouts the last bit
149
150> You attempt to clock the sink and turn it on at full force > 20 holy shit
151> You successfully clog the sink and let the water run.
152> Roll Perception
153
154Roy:
155Perception > 5
156
157> Mmmm there's something about what this guy's sayin that gives you get a feelin he's not telling the truth.
158
159Roy: Y'know, even if you are a perfectly normal person, you're probably fucked anyways. What are they gonna do, let you go and risk you telling everyone that they roofie people with abilities and execute them?
160
161> Cool. Eventually the sink's gonna overflow. You don't really know why you're doing this but you have to imagine it'll help you at some point.
162
163> ...you could try and WWE throw yourself onto the sink and smash it.
164
165Roy: Whether you've got abilities or not, you're kind of fucked. It'd be better for us if you did.
166
16714: No, it would not- Wait, roofie?
168
169Roy: Yeah, I got fuckin' roofied by some asshole and I woke up in here.
170
171> Pick the pet carrier up and place it onto the bed. Stand up onto the bed. Debate if you've got enough room to front flip onto the sink and throw yourself into it.
172
173> You don't need a perception check to know that you definitely don't have the room to front flip. You successfully move the pet carrier. The kitten makes no sound as you move it. <
174
17514: Well shit that's a lil worse than gettin' shoved in the back of a car.
176
177Roy: . . .
178
179Roy: ...yeah, maybe. You got shoved into the back of a car?
180
181> Check inside the pet carrier again and check on the kitten.
182
183Kitten:
184> Still there, just being quiet. You get the idea you've been here for a while though.
185
18614: Yeah! After the fuckin coppers and everyone started bailing, I was too wasted to do shit. They shoved me in the back and chuck me in here.
187
188Roy: So, why'd the cops come? Somebody call them, or did they crash your party...?
189
190> How's the water looking? Is it overflowing and starting to spill on the ground yet?
191
192> Yep, it's certainly spilling onto the ground now. You now have a wet floor. Congratulations. <
193
19414: I have no fuckin' idea.
195
196Roy: ...alright, look. I don't wanna sound too confrontational or anything, but...there's something you're not saying. Whatever you're not saying, is it really worth you and me dying over?
197
198> Start testing the bedframe a bit. Are any of the metal bars on it feeling a little bit weaker than the others?
199
200> You test around a bit, but everything seems pretty solid on the bed frame unfortunately. Not going to make you roll perception for that. <
201
20214: ...Even IF I did have something-and that's a big fat I F not saying I have anything or something...it wouldn't be helpful to us.
203
204Roy: Okay, so maybe humor me then. Why wouldn't it?
205
20614: Because it wouldn't do anything.
20714: Because I have nothing.
208
209Roy: Sooooo...theoretically, what would you need?
210
21114: It wouldn't matter because it wouldn't do anything helpful
212> The water continues to flow onto the bottom of your floor. <
213
214Roy:
215> Exasperated sigh.
216
217Roy: Really? So, you don't even want to consider that it might be able to help somehow? For someone trying to get out, you're pretty dead-set on staying stuck in there.
218
219> Does it look like it'll start flooding out the door and into the hall, or is the bottom of the door pretty tightly locked against the ground?
220
221> The bottom looks pretty tightly locked down. The water's just kind of collecting itself at the bottom of your cell at an extremely slow pace. <
222> Roll charm <
223
224Roy:
225Charm > 2
226
22714 > Will > 1
22814: ....I bend smoke.
229> he seems salty in his response.
230
231Roy: ...dude, and you're saying that's not helpful?
232
233Roy: Riddle me this - if they come to take you out of that cell and they open that door and you're hidden in smoke, how is that not beneficial?
234
235Roy: Also, if you consider clogging the sink and flooding the cell with water, uh...it doesn't leak out the door. It just, uh...slowly fills up the room...
236
23714: I would need smoke for that to work. They took my cigarettes before they shoved me in here...also is that what you've been doing in there???
238
239Roy: ...maybe...I didn't know what it would do but I figured I'd try. Guess I thought maybe it'd make the floor slippery outside and they'd slip or something, but...
240
24114: Dude, they'd just leave you in there-and if you keep fuckin around like that they'll just shove you into solitary.
242
243Roy: ...so they wouldn't execute me?
244
24514: I don't know why-but you're some kind of special snowflake or some shit.
24614: I overheard them talkin and they don't plan to kill you.
24714: ...what can you do exactly?
248
249Roy: Huh? Well...that's weird. Why...?
250
251> Fuck. Hopefully you're not being used as bait or something.
252
253> Then again everyone else is off at the beach, you're not sure who'd be coming. Maybe Abi will try something, or maybe she'd go tell the others. Hell, maybe they took the car.
254
255Roy: ...I balance really well. My muscle memory's pretty spot-on too, I'm a good shot...hey, do you need something to be on fire to start bending smoke?
256
25714: I don't fuckin' know...also yeah that could technically work but...wouldn't really do much still? It doesn't exactly hurt anybody...makes their eyes burn a little.
25814: Unless there's a lot of it.
259
260Roy:
261
262Roy: What are you wearing right now? In a very non-creepy way.
263
26414: Uhhh...orange jumpsuit?
265
266Roy: Is it flammable?
267
26814: I don't have my lighter either and I don't know
269
270Roy: ...I'll get back to you on that.
271
272> Check the toilet. Does it have a metal handle to flush with?
273
274> Nope, it's a button.
275
276> Fuck.
277
278> ...are the sink handles metal?
279
280> Yes <
281
282> Let's try and rip the sink handle off the faucet then.
283
284> Roll Might
285
286Roy:
287Might > 3
288
289> you rip the handles off of the faucet. You no longer have a way of turning the water off. <
290
291> Well at least there's a window at like face level.
292
293> ...right?
294
295> Yes <
296
297> Okay that's good we won't drown at least.
298
299> Pick the pet carrier up and set it onto the presumably taller-than-the-bed desk.
300
301> How hard would it seem it is to slip out of the jumpsuit? At least arms down, I imagine the handcuffs would make taking it off fully difficult.
302
303> Pretty difficult, it's a onesie with a zipper on the back so unless you wanna do some acrobatics and dislocate your shoulders or something you're going to have a hard time.
304
305> . . .
306
307> How hard would it be to try and dislocate one's thumb?
308
309> You're going to need to roll might and a willpower
310
311Roy:
312Willpower > 1
313
314> Lol no you're not gonna be able to dislocate your own thumb.
315
316Roy: ...okay, well this jumpsuit isn't coming off. So, unless I want to set it on fire while I'm wearing it...
317
31814: The fuck??? Dude, don't do that.
319
320Roy: ...yeah I was kind of starting to come to that conclusion myself.
321
322Roy: ...I've got a faucet handle if you want one.
323
32414: Even if I wanted it how the hell would you give it to me
325
326Roy: We have windows, don't we? I just told you, I've got good aim.
327
328Roy: ...the handcuffs might be a bit of a challenge but I could probably make it.
329
33014: No way man.
331> He doesn't believe you
332
333Roy: Nah, nah, I could probably do it. Think you could do anything with it?
334
33514: No...
336
337Roy: . . .
338
339Roy: Well, do you have any ideas on anything we could do? Apparently you're the one whose life is at risk.
340
34114: Well my idea was to try to convince them I was a normal dude so i'd at least get the same treatment as the other guy, but you've kinda fucked me on that.
342
343Roy: The other guy? I thought you said we were the only ones here?
344
34514: Yeah, the only ones in here. There was this fuckin blonde dude that used to be in here but he was taken out and actually got to eat in the fuckin kitchen and shit. Apparently made some sort of fuckin deal with them or somethin and he don't have to stay in these shit-slathered cells.
346
347Roy: ...
348
349> Blonde dude...?
350
351Roy: ...y'know, if they want to fix this or move me, someone's gonna have to open this door at some point.
352
35314: Yeah?
35414: probably just gonna straight tranq ya or manhandle you though.
35514: Hell they could even just change their minds and kill ya if you're too much trouble.
356
357Roy: Yeah, but...through all this water? If it's not leaking, it's gonna build up until it can start leaking...
358Roy: And someone's gonna have to open this door.
359
36014: Then what? You find a way out of this place?
361
362Roy: Well, presuming somebody gets taken out by the actual wall of water flooding out of here...yeah? Better than being stuck in this room.
363
36414: How you gonna get off the island?
365
366Roy: The what
367
36814: The island. We're on an island in the middle of the fuckin ocean or some shit.
36914: So unless you know how to fly a plane, sail a boat, or feel like you can hitchhike without gettin noticed...
37014: you're stuck.
371
372Roy: ...I...did not know we were on an island.
373
374Roy: That said, I'll take out of the cell as a viable first step. Escape the cell first, then get back to Long Beach second.
375
37614: Fuckin' hell that's like-on the other side of california.
377
378Roy: . . .
379
380Roy: What? Where the fuck are we then?
381
38214: Closer to Eureka.
383
384Roy: ...I don't know why I asked, I'm not from California and I have no idea where that is.
385
38614: ...closer to the Oregon border.
387
388Roy: . . .
389
390> Take a moment to process. Deep breath.
391
392Roy: ...that...is definitely a long fuckin' way away from where I'm supposed to be.
393
394> How's the water level look also?
395
396> it's still goin...still hasn't quite flooded the entirety of the bottom floor yet.
39714: ...the hell's your name anyway?
398
399Roy: Uh...I dunno if names are the best thing to say out loud here, in case anyone's listening. I mean, the person who roofied me knows my name, and they probably got told my name, but still...
400
40114: Then what should I call you? Unless you want me to just refer to you as "9"
402
403Roy: ...y'know, 9's good. You good with 14? Or are you looking for something else for me to call you?
404
40514: I don't give a damn what you call me, they have my ID and everything, but m'names Danny.
406
407Roy: ...okay they probably have mine too honestly. Name's Roy.
408
409Danny: I'd say nice to meet you, but honestly these conditions are fucking terrible. I haven't showered in days.
410Danny: Has it been days? I'm not sure...
411> Roy give me a perception check with your response <
412
413Roy: I wouldn't think about it too much. Don't know much about the subject, but there probably really isn't a solid way to keep track of that in here. Sounds like a good way to mess yourself up in the head...
414
415> Like you said, not like you're a psychiatrist, a doctor, or an expert of any kind in the subject. That's just a theory.
416
417Roy:
418Perception > 5
419
420> The two of you fall into a brief silence, but it was just enough for you to make out the sound of shouting just down the hall. You can hear people running followed by the sound of gunfire followed by a terrified scream. You can hear a deep, outraged, and familiar roar echo throughout the halls followed by clashing and tearing of metal. The hallway takes on a red tinge as sirens begin to assault your ears. <
421
422Roy: . . .
423
424> Wait a second. You'd be concerned, but those roars...
425
426Roy: Holy shit...no way, they brought him here too?
427
428> Definitely a little wary, but a little bit more...enthused than before?
429
430Roy: HEY! 23! IS THAT YOU? 23?!
431
432> Now we just gotta yell and hope he can hear over the sirens...oh, and hopefully he remembers you and doesn't destroy you.
433
434> Like he's probably destroying those people out there. You feel a little bad for them, but also they're assholes.
435
436< Roll command/charm with a -2
437
438Roy:
439Charm > 0 - 2 > -2
440
441> You shout, but there is no responding. Danny says something, but it's difficult to hear him over the sirens. <
442> The water has managed to fill the bottom of your cell now at least though. <
443
444Roy: HEY! WE SHOULD, UH...PROBABLY GET OUT OF HERE NOW. I JUST, UH...DON'T KNOW HOW?
445
446> Hopefully he can hear you and has a fantastic idea and if not, whoops.
447
448> ...does the camera look like it'd explode if it gets wet or would it just fizzle out or electrocute anyone standing in the water like an idiot.
449
450> Perception
451
452Roy:
453Perception > 2
454
455> You can't tell, you just see a round orb staring right back at you. <
456> As you do, a voice speaks up over the intercom. <
457???: Multiple security breaches detected, please remain calm and-ohmygod WHAT THE FUCK-.
458> The microphone feedback screeches over the microphone before there is simply silence. You can hear more shouting and screaming just down the hall.
459
460Roy:
461> You know what? You have had a very long week. You were barely able to do anything to help Sugako. You got shot up and almost killed by Phoenix. Aiyana got hurt. You and everyone else had to fight Jet. Nick went missing. Suscki and Jamie went missing. Jayden got kidnapped. You gave most of your secrets up to Suki for a lead that got you roofied and sent across California.
462
463> Fuck it. That security camera's going down. You're gonna bludgeon it with the faucet handle.
464> You're getting out of here and you're going to get shit done so help you.
465
466> Roll might to bludgeon
467
468> I'm gonna add 1 point of resolve
469Roy:
470Might > 1 + 2 > 3
471
472Camera > 1
473
474> you smash that sucker open. Shards of glass fall to the ground and you're able to get a look at the insides of it. Electrical wiring is revealed as a lens focuses directly on you.
475
476> A voice sounds over the speakers again, this time a different one. <
477
478???: Oh....there you are....
479
480> You've had a tough time, but fortunately your brain is able to pick apart the familiarity of this voice over the speaker. It's deep, a little garbled, and difficult to understand, but you manage to do it by some miracle. <
481
482Roy:
483> This fucker.
484
485Roy: Oh, great! It's you! Y'know, I've been looking for you, too. I've come a long way to talk, so how about we have a little chat, huh?
486
487???: I don't know how you could have been 'looking for me' when this is the first time we've met. Either way, this is not the time nor the place. I can only grant you all this one opportunity.

489> A loud buzzer overlaps the sound of the siren. With rattles and clangs, you can hear the sounds of prison doors opening one by one. Then, yours opens in unison to the door across from you.
490
491???: If you see the prisoners in white suits:
492r̨ u̸ ͟n.
493
494Roy: . . .
495> Alright, you'll play his fuckin' game. For now.
496
497> ...check what color your jumpsuit is.
498
499> You're orange
500
501> Okay cool, cool.
502
503> Pick up the pet carrier and step out into the hall. Take a look at the area.
504
505???: From here on, you are on your own.
506
507> You step out into the halls and find yourself in an extensive hallway of open doors. You can see that there's potentially another hallway to your right along with a door at the very end. To your left you can see two more doors at the very end that look different from the prisoner doors and do not open.
508
509You can also see that your water is starting to trickle into the hallway...and there's a man standing on the other side of the hallway looking thoroughly stressed, panicked, and worried with messy blond greasy hair. You can assume this is Danny. No face pic for him currently.<
510> Your map has been updated <
511
512> Radical. What color is his jumpsuit?
513
514> orange
515
516Roy:
517> Turn around and step back into your room for a moment. Check for a glass shard that's shivving size.
518
519Roy: I thought you said we were the only prisoners here right now?
520
521Danny: Uhhh...we-fuckin-are? At least I sure as hell thought so.
522> You have obtained a shard of glass. It's not all that great for stabbing people, but it'll leave a cut.
523
524> And in the end, that's really all we can ask for.
525
526Roy: ...prisoners in white suits...well, I don't really like the idea of listening to this guy, but...
527
528> Turn back around and head out into the hall. Try not to look too threatening with your glass shard.
529
530Roy: Maybe there's other prisoners like us, though...well, anyways. So, if you're like, a guy that's in on this that got shoved into a cell next to mine to monitor me and backstab me if I get too far, now's the time to let me know.
531
532Danny: Dude-I thought the people in white were guards???
533Danny: Also no thank you i prefer living
534
535Roy: ...huh? What made you think that?
536
537Danny: They just kinda wander the halls on their own? Nobody's really guarding them from what I could tell and one of them was helping to put you in the cell.
538
539Roy: ...you did hear the same announcement though, right? He said prisoners in white suits?
540
541Danny: I am JUST as confused as you dude
542
543Roy: . . .
544
545Roy: Well. Maybe they were guards, but now...
546
547Roy: ...anyways, before I get too conspiracy theorist. Let's temporarily split up. One of us should go down to the left, and the other should go right. Let's check things out and come back here so we can tell each other what we find, yeah?
548
549> Roll Charm

551Roy:
552Charm > 4
553
554> Willpower > 1
555Danny: A-Alright...which way are you taking?
556
557Roy: I'll go right, take a peek at that door at the end and down those two cut-offs. You probably shouldn't go too far, just take a quick look at what's down there and then come back here...y'know, if we do get separated this wouldn't be a bad meet-up spot. We can just follow the water back here as it spreads.
558
559Danny:
560> Stares at the slowly spreading water
561Danny: ....I hope we're not here long enough for that.
562Danny: But alright. I'll go have a look.
563> Moves off to head down the hall
564
565Roy:
566> Turn and head down your way. Check the two halls first before you do anything with the door.
567
568> Roll Perception

573> You check both ways of the hall. To the west the hall extends off to the side before leading into another hallway. There's a door at the very end along with what appears to be another place to turn at the very end. You can see two doors on the southern side of the hall, along with a sign that simply says "Security" on it. You can hear more shouting, but it seems as if it's moved off somewhere else. To the east, the hallway doesn't go for long before it ends at another door with a door to the south that says "ISO1"<
574> Your map has been updated. <
575> Feel free to leave notes and such on it btw
576
577> Return back to the flooding room to meet back up with Danny.
578
579> Another perception check
580
581Roy:
582Perception > 2
583
584> You notice that his expression is significantly more pale than before as he explains.
585
586Danny: Well...in one side...I saw a nice and cozy room with plants...tables...and vending machines....and in the other....I saw death, misery....and despair.
587> He gives a nervous laugh
588
589Roy: Huh. Yeah, that sounds about right. Was it like, people all bitten and thrown around and melted and chomped on? Or was it a different kind of death, misery and despair?
590
591Danny: Oh god, what? No-it was...an execution room.
592> His eyes grow wide with what you describe
593
594Roy: ...oh. Well, shit.
595> The fact that it's an execution room visibly perturbs you a bit.
596
597Roy: Nice of them to leave us right next to it and ready to go, huh? I found another hallway on my end that looked like it continued, another hall that ended in a door. One of them said "ISO1". And right down the hall there was a sign for Security. Sounds like all the screaming's moved on, though.
598
599Danny: ....okay so where do we go?
600
601Roy: Honestly? I'd say Security. Best case scenario, the douchebag on the radio's there and we can chat, and anything we had on us might be around there somewhere. Or, there might be a map. Worst case scenario there's a ton of guards and we're fucked.
602
603Danny: ....alright so...you can check out security annnnd I'll go see if I can get snacks.
604
605Roy:
606> Laugh a bit
607
608Roy: What, you're gonna go off on your own with 23 wandering around here?
609
610Danny: Isssss that another prisoner?
611> Confusion
612
613Roy: No, he's a genetically modified alligator dog that me and my friends broke out of a mad scientist's home. He's been behaving around us, but something tells me he isn't very happy right now. Not sure how he'd react to you without someone he knows around.
614
615Roy: Hence, the death, misery and despair I was asking about.
616
617Danny:
618> Silence
619> He's just staring at you now
620
621"See you're the type of person who belongs here"
622
623Roy: He's nice when you don't shoot him. He's just got a temper.
624
625Danny: So let's go check out that security, yeah?
626
627Roy: That's the spirit. Sticking together is probably the best idea.
628
629Roy: Tell you what, though. After we check security, we can look for snacks.
630
631Danny: Okay! Sure!
632> his voice is rather high pitched and his smile quite forced.
633
634Roy: ...alright, you're gonna have to take a few deep breaths though. 'Cause, the last thing either of us wants is for you to lose it.
635
636Danny: I'm going to lose it if we keep standing around here doing n o t h i n g while this entire place is on red alert.
637
638Roy:
639> Throw your hands up.
640
641Roy: Alright, fair enough. I'm gonna go peek in through the door into Security.
642
643> Danny has joined the party
644
645> Head to that good ol' Security door and see if you can crack it open and peep inside.
646
647> You attempt to open it...it's locked.
648
649Roy: Ah.
650
651> Turn around to Danny.
652
653Roy: Shit's locked.
654
655Danny: You got a hair pin or something?
656> Perception along with your response
657
658Roy: No, I didn't happen to shove one up my ass. Or swallow one.
659> Shrugs, more joking aroud with the response than being sarcastic.
660
661Perception > 2
662
663> You also noticed that the handle seemed...really cold to the touch. Actually, the air around seems to be freezing. There's also the fact that you need a key card to access this door as well as a key.
664
665Roy:
666
667Roy: What kind of survival horror bullshit...
668
669Roy: ...maybe we should go elsewhere.
670
671Danny: You're the leader here man.
672
673Roy: . . .
674
675Roy: Shit, am I? We're boned.
676
677> Wait for a moment.
678
679Roy: I'm kidding. Where were you planning on getting snacks, the nice looking room?
680
681Danny:
682> His face has a look of horror during that pause, but when you make your joke clear he just looks irritated.
683Danny: Not funny and yes.
684
685Roy: Sorry, sorry. Alright, well, let's go there and think shit over then, yeah?
686
687Roy: ...and you should probably eat if you don't know how long you were in there. Did they give you any food?
688
689Danny: They gave me piss and a rock.
690> It's quite apparent that he might be exaggerating a little
691
692Roy: That bad, huh? Let's get going, then. Try to make it quick, 'cause we really shouldn't waste time. Especially if 23's dealing with all the guards.
693
694> Another explosive bellow echoes throughout the building from somewhere on the island. <
695
696Danny: ...If that's him something tells me he's fine.
697> He's going to start leading you towards what he found now if you want to go that way.
698
699Roy: ...okay, well he's not bulletproof.
700
701> You're pretty sure.
702
703> Wait Nick said a gun probably wouldn't help you.
704
705> Maybe he is?
706
707> Follow Danny that way.
708
709> Also I assumed Roy was holding the pet carrier but if he wasn't then he definitely retrieves that from his room before continuing /SHOT
710
711Roy:
712Perception > 4
713
714> You follow Danny towards the room and open the door without any trouble...the trouble that does come, however, is the fact that there are currently two guards at a long row of vending machines that appear to be conversing with one another as they grab a snack. They appear to be in full on body armor from SWAT teams, but lack any official logos or symbols on their uniforms.
715
716??: Are you sure we should be here?
717???: It'll be fiiiine, besides, they can handle it.
718??: But the training instructor said-
719???: C h i l l and just follow me kid. They'll teach you how to fight and i'll teach you how to survive.
720??: I-I'm not so sure about this...
721
722> they don't seem to have noticed you two yet.

738 You are now back in the hall.<
739Danny: Fuuuuck that was close
740
741Roy: Yeah, no kidding...guess we're not going that way.
742
743Roy: ...I hate to do this to you but what'd you see in the execution room, and is the door unlocked?
744
745Danny: Yes it's unlocked and I saw the electric chair and no other doors.
746
747Roy: Nothing that might help with the handcuffs, huh?
748
749Roy: ...we could hide in there but we're kind of screwed if they come in and find us. Then again, maybe they'd skip that room because why would we go in there?
750
751Roy: ...or we can just try and keep ahead of them and go down the halls I found?
752
753Danny: Not really unless you can find something I could use as a pick...then I might be able to crack these fuckin things. Also I have no idea what we should do or where we should go. You seem like you're a lot more experienced in this and I'm just some fuck from San Diego.
754
755Roy: You'd be surprised. I was just some fuck from New York like a couple of months ago. Let's keep moving, though. If we want a chance of taking any of those guys down and looking for keys or shit we're gonna need better supplies.
756
757Danny: Lead the way.
758
759Roy:
760> Move quietly down the hall and head back to the hall. Check out the ISO1 door.
761
762> There's a small slider peephole at eye-level with the door. It looks a bit like a prisoner door but lacks a window. <
763
764> Does the slider work to check inside?
765
766> Yes
767
768> C h e c k
769
770> You slide open the peephole and take a look inside. It's a white room. It looks like it's kept far cleaner than the others and is much brighter, however, is significantly smaller than the other rooms and lacks any sort of furniture. <
771
772> Nothing/Nobody inside?
773
774> Nope
775
776Roy:
777> Close the slider.
778
779Roy: Must stand for Isolation. Looks like Solitary.
780
781> Continue down the hall and venture into the unknown to the west.
782
783> You head towards the west and check down the two halls you can see. The one at the very end leads to a double-door. The hall that exists to the north reveals more cells to your right and three doors to your left with a door at the very end of the hallway. The three on your left and at the end of the hall look like secure steel doors that also require keycards. However, you notice that the door at the very end just across from the short hall seems to have been torn off of its hinges and sizzles with an unknown substance. You can easily step into this room. This will be marked with a green dot on your map to make it clear. <
784> Your map has been updated. <
785
786Roy:
787> Sizzling...?
788
789> Oh shit, 23.
790
791> Oh shit, maybe dead people to loot.
792
793Roy: Hey, Danny, I'm gonna try something.
794
795> Approach the former door and check on that sizzling.
796
797Danny: okay???
798> Stay back
799
800> You approach the door and as you do, you get a better look in that lab. You can see a lot of things overturned and torn apart. You can definitely see some dead bodies in black suits laying around as well. From the looks of it, this was some sort of laboratory of sorts. You can easily see the crumpled and torn remains of some kind of restraint device that is also sizzling away. <

807> You can notice vials all across the ground but you don't quite know what substances they contain. You can notice that the sizzling on the door and objects around the room have leftover residue stuck on them. There's a wide variety of surgical objects around here that might be more useful than a shard of glass, but most importantly you see:
808
809Needles. Lots and lots of needles.
810
811The bodies appear to be either torn up or dead save for one lady who appears to be lacking an arm and a leg. She looks like she's barely clinging onto life, but she's still breathing and seems much more focused on the intense amount of pain and shock she's in than you guys. <
812
813> Question: Are the handcuffs like cuffs connected by a short chain or are they cuffs connected by like one straight and flat bar?
814
815> Flat bar
816
817Roy:
818> Fuck
819
820> Stay the fuck away from those needles and head to the door itself.
821
822> The dying woman kind of sucks, but...you really can't do anything for her. You'd probably accidentally spill something corrosive on her.

833
834Danny: What the fuck?
835
836Roy: It's acidic. Here, c'mon and give it a shot if you want. Just don't fuck it up.
837
838Danny: uh...okay???
839> 4
840> Danny manages to do the same
841> Also detail i forgot to add that's on the map, it seems the door in the room to the east leads back into the hall while there is another door at the back of the room that leads into the middle door from the hall.
842
843Roy: Alright...hey, uh. You ever had to like, defend yourself? With stuff that isn't smoke?
844
845Danny: I shot a guy once...annnnd then he nearly killed me....my friends usually did all the fighting.
846Danny: I've stabbed people though.
847> he seems a little too proud of this
848
849Roy: . . .
850
851Roy: Alright well normally I'd say calm down there, but in this situation...you might want to grab a scalpel or something then.
852
853> He proceeds as instructed with no further comments other than a simple shrug
854
855Roy:
856> You could go grab a scalpel.
857
858> But there's also a lot of needles in this room.
859> Wait for Danny to procure what he needs.
860
861> Danny successfully grabs a relatively average sized knife and looks back to you. You can see him resisting the urge to vomit and cover his nose as he tries to avoid looking at the gore within the room. Once he notices you're not coming in, he questions it.
862Danny: Well aren't you gonna grab something?
863
864Roy: ...
865
866Roy: I, uh...well...
867
868> Awkwardly shrug.
869
870Roy: ...I'm not really a fan of needles.
871
872Danny: ............
873Danny: Needles?
874Danny: There's a human leg torn off of its owner five feet from you and thing you're afraid of here is NEEDLES?
875> note; you will gain 1 point of resolve for refusing to enter the room
876
877Roy: Look, it's not like I don't understand that but fuck, needles just get me. Also not so loud, we're trying to be quiet and its owner is still kind of breathing, you don't have to rub it in.
878
879Danny: Oh-fuckinggod
880> he didn't seem to have noticed that the girl was alive before, but now that you've pointed it out he's making a bolt to get out of the room again. <
881
882Roy: ...so, if you're done in there...
883
884Roy: ...though, there is another door in the back there...
885
886Danny: I aint goin back in there
887
888Roy: Okay, if we're in agreement, then let's check the double door then.
889
890Danny: Alright.
891[+1 Resolve]
892
893> Peep that double door and check if it's unlocked.
894
895> It is definitely unlocked. You open the door and peek through. There are two doors along the eastern wall with another double door at the very end of the hall. You can see two more guards on the door closest to you two, but there's still a fair distance before you reach them and cannot hear what they are talking about. One is standing on each side of the door, as if guarding it.
896> Roll Stealth with a +1 since you took caution with opening the door

921
922Danny: Maybe there's something important behind it??
923
924Roy: That's what I'm thinking. Problem is, I'm not sure we're equipped to handle them, and if they call for back-up...
925
926Danny: Guess it's not important enough for us then.
927> As you're speaking, you guys can hear what sounds like an explosion outside somewhere. <
928
929Roy: What the hell...? I swear, if there's a self destruct system in here or something...
930Roy: ...anyways, though...I want to say what if it's another prisoner in there, but chances are if it were another prisoner they'd be in there shooting them or something. Maybe we should just head back through one of those other doors.
931
932Danny: If that's what you wanna do man.
933Danny: Better safe than dead.
934
935Roy:
936> Head back towards the other two doors in question. Try out the one next to Security.
937
938> Do you peep or just open it

There's US Flags, photos on the wall, some fine art, some plants, but it doesn't look like anybody's here. You can see a hallway past some kind of reward shelf to the east, another double door just past it that look very large and are surrounded with a thick metal frame. At the end of the hallway is another large double door, but it looks average. To the west is an average looking office door with the words "Lockers" printed on the covered window. <
943
944Roy: ...fuckin' hell, this place is gaudy.
945
946> Step into the room and look around.
947
948Roy: ...well, "Lockers" looks promising but I don't know if we're gonna be able to get into any...can't hurt to check, though.
949
950Danny: Really? It looks kinda nice actually...
951Danny: Aside from the fact that this place is going to kill me for doing stupid tricks at a party.
952Danny: But let's just get going.
953
954Roy:
955> Head for the Lockers door.
956
957Roy; Well, alright, maybe it's a little nice, but considering what they do here it's pretty fucked up. Like "Hey, look at this cool art and patriotic flag, we kill people in the back just because they were born with powers".

Due to your high perception, you know for certain that this door actually leads into the place the previous guards were hiding.
977
978> As you're wandering around, you round a corner and find yourself face to face with someone pointing a gun at you<
979
980>Well...actually....someone who was pointing a gun at someone. There's a completely frozen statue that used to be a person holding a gun at someone who was once standing where you are currently standing. The more you wander, the more icicles you can find. <

986Roy: ...shit, did whoever did this get into Security...?
987
988Danny: How am I supposed to know?
989
990Roy: ...it was kind of rhetorical, but the door handle was like, weirdly cold. Man.
991
992Roy: ...guess we weren't the only prisoners. Let's check the lockers, see if there's anything at all useful.
993
994> Roll Thievery to crack lockers

1001> It takes you a bit, but these things are proving to be a bit difficult. By the time you finish picking one, Danny's opened 9 others. <
1002
1003Roy: Okay, I think I've got-...
1004
1005> Stare at Danny.
1006
1007Roy: ...just a dude from San Diego my ass. Do all the regular dudes from San Diego pick locks?
1008
1009Danny: All the ones who are worth talking to.
1010
1011Roy: Aw, I'm not worth talking to?
1012
1013> Check and see what's in your locker after you mess with him a little.
1014
1015Danny: Hey, you picked /A/ lock.
1016
1017> All together, you manage to get an Access Card for "Low Class" personnel, a small hand gun(+3 bonus for non-blast use) with 7 bullets, 10 paper clips, someone's casual clothing, a picture of someone's dog, 5 blank sheets of paper, a bible(+1 Bludgeoning for non-strike use), and a compass.
1018
1019Roy: ...hey, mind if I take the gun? Maybe you should stuff the Bible in your jumpsuit or something. I hear sometimes they're thick enough to stop bullets.
1020
1021Danny: I'd rather smack a bitch with it than trust my life to the lordâ„¢ but take the gun, i suck at shooting anyways.
1022
1023Roy: Hey, use it as you will. You seem good at picking locks, you can take the paper clips and shit too. I might want the compass though.
1024
1025Danny: Alrighty.
1026> You have given Danny 1 Bible and 10 paper clips
1027
1028Roy: ...and at the very least, unless there's something you want specifically, I'll just hold onto whatever you don't want.
1029
1030Danny: It all looks like a bunch of garbage to me.
1031Danny: Except the card, that just looks like something we're both going to use.
1032
1033Roy: Yeah we're definitely using the card.
1034
1035Roy: ...hey, I'm pretty sure the door in the back of this room goes to that room those guards were...well, guarding. I think I'm gonna try and take a look from this side.
1036
1037Danny: Go for it.
1038
1039Roy:

1044Roy:
1045Perception > 1 - 1 > 0
1046
1047> You open the door and take a peek inside. You seem to have come across some sort of sleeping quarters. There's a long row of bunk beds lining each side of the room from wall to wall. You don't think there's anybody in here. <
1048
1049Roy:
1050> Oh hey coast must be clear.
1051
1052> Step inside quietly and take a closer look.
1053
1054> Another perception, this time with no debuff
1055

1063
1064> Your perception is not high enough to see it, but Danny has entered the room and can take a look.
1065
1066Danny > Perceive > 5 comin in with the save

1068Danny: ....what the fuck there's a dude back there.
1069> And being pretty loud about it
1070Nope Police > Perception > 2
1071Danny > Stealth > 5/4

1074
1075Roy: What? I can't see shit, dude. And try and be a little quiet, huh?
1076
1077Danny: Alright alright. There's just a fuckin dude hiding back there....I can see his hands-it looks like he's cuffed to a bed.
1078Mysterious Person > Perception > 4+3
1079> Opt to remain hidden despite the fact that you were clearly spotted.
1080
1081Roy: ...oh, shit. Alright. Here, let's go then...
1082
1083> Slowly start to approach the general back of the room. Keep your hands up to show you're not gonna try and hurt them or anything.
1084
1085> As you slowly approach the back of the room with your hands up, you can start to see what Danny was talking about. The person is not left with any option but to sit there and wait for their fate. As you slowly approach, you begin to see who it is. A young man is seated against the wall with his hands awkwardly lifted and stuck to the bed. He looks at you with a the paralysis of absolute fear. Then, it begins to dawn to you. This guy doesn't have a jump suit period. His hair looks messy, but otherwise he's got blonde hair, a fancy jacket, and a face you definitely wouldn't forget any time soon.... <
1086> Danny follows behind you and looks at Jayden's terrified expression. He stares for a moment, before he speaks. <
1087
1088Danny: Ohey it's the blonde dude.....think he'd make a good hostage?
1089> Achievement Get: Find Jayden
1090
1091Roy:
1092> Oh, fuck. Well, well, well. Look who decided to...well look who didn't decide anything. He just kinda ended up here.
1093
1094Roy: What? No, we're not taking him hostage. I know him.
1095
1096Danny: ....but we could pretend he's a hostage right?
1097
1098Jayden: W h a t
1099
1100Roy: ...we'll see but it'd be pretend.
1101
1102Roy: ...hey, Jayden. What the hell happened to you?
1103
1104Jayden: Uhhh....
1105Jayden: I got really mad, really drunk, really stupid, and then really fucked.
1106Danny: The fuck did you do to get special treatment
1107Jayden: Can we not talk about that?
1108
1109Roy: Okay I heard about the drunk bit. By the way, huuuuge dick move with the uploading. How'd you get taken here, though?
1110> Kind of wants to circle back around to talking about that.
1111
1112Jayden: Like i said I got really drunk then really stupid. I went to the police to get help getting my dad back and then they cuffed me and brought me here.
1113
1114Roy:
1115> A little exasperated
1116
1117Roy: Getting your da-Jayden, if you had literally just called or stopped on by it would have been fine. Nick's cover got blown anyways so it's not like we had any reason to keep him tied up and away anymore.
1118> Oh fuck wait he doesn't know.
1119
1120Jayden:
1121> Confusion
1122Danny: Look I get you two have some kind of spat going on, but are we bringing this guy with us or not, because those guards could pop on in here at any time to check on him
1123
1124Roy:
1125> It might be safer for him to not take him, but he might also tell the guards about you guys in exchange for something.
1126
1127> At the same time he might slow you down and he might get killed with you guys.
1128
1129Roy: ...god dammit. You comfortable here for now, Jayden? Because we still have to move very carefully and quietly, and we can come back for you later unless you're in serious trouble.
1130
1131Jayden: So you're not going to kill me?
1132
1133Roy: No, we're not gonna kill you.
1134
1135Jayden: A-Alright...they're not going to kill me either so....
1136> he still seems pretty scared.
1137
1138Roy:
1139> Goddammit.
1140
1141Roy: ...Danny, wanna try picking the lock on his cuffs?
1142
1143> Danny gives an irritated huff, mutters something about needing a cigarette, and makes an attempt. <
1144> 2 > not high enough
1145Danny: Fuckin hell what's the deal with these things??
1146> Danny has 9 paper clips left.
1147
1148Roy: Hell if I know. Look, Jayden, we're personally running out of time because they will kill us, so...we'll be back. Try and leave us some sort of sign if they move you, okay?
1149
1150Jayden > Beg for your life? > 4/3 > Where did this surplus of courage come from???
1151Jayden: A-Alright...but please don't just like-ditch me here and leave without me. I don't actually want to join them.
1152
1153Roy: Don't worry about that. Actually, saving you was kind of part of the plan. We'll come back, just...try not to snitch, and be careful.
1154
1155Roy: ...we should probably go now.
1156
1157Jayden: A-Alright....
1158Danny > Is waiting on you

1172> Turn around and head back to the Locker room door.
1173

1175
1176Roy: ...shit. Man, this just has to be complicated...
1177
1178> Make your way back to the gaudy looking lobby.
1179
1180> you two successfully work your way back to the gaudy lobby <
1181> you guys hear another explosion outside <
1182> The alarms have finally stopped blaring and you can distinctly hear the sound of gunfire somewhere outside to the south east. <
1183
1184Roy: ...seriously, what the fuck? Sounds like a war's going on out there, and that can't just be 23...
1185
1186> Let's check those average looking double doors to the south.
1187

1194
1195> Nope Police > 0
1196> Just as you open the door, you can hear the sound of shouting and banging as someone bursts through some doors you can't see. They shout out in seemingly random numbers and words that make little to no sense to you, but you do see a stream of armed people rush out the doors to the east. Someone stops three of the people before they run out and points at them.
1197
1198???: Stay here and make sure it doesn't try to get in!
1199
1200> The three of the guards nod, looking almost a little relieved that they don't have to go face whatever else the others are facing. They linger behind and watch the trail of armed guards run out the door. They do not see you.
1201PikashockLast Wednesday at 8:31 PM
1202Roy:
1203> Hah just gonna close that door now okay mhmm bye.
1204
1205> Shut the door, turn back to Danny.
1206
1207Roy: Guess what way just got three guards posted to it?
1208
1209Danny: I'm guessing that one
1210
1211Roy: You guess correctly. We can try those other double doors, but I doubt they're gonna be unlocked.
1212
1213> Go test those other double doors.
1214
1215> These doors require a keycard
1216> Being the intelligent human being you are, you try the key card you found in the lockers
1217
1218> Does it work?
1219
1220> Ding ding ding, the doors slide open automatically.

1232> There's a massive window off to the south that pretty much makes up the entire wall. You can hear gunfire and strangely bone-chilling screeches much clearer from here and would have a view of what's going on outside if it weren't for the massive semi-truck that's been toppled over and blocking your view of the outside. <
1233> Windows are marked with cyan on your map
1234
1235Roy: ...woah. And I thought the last room was gaudy.
1236
1237Danny: Damn these guys like it fancy for a bunch of murderers.
1238
1239Roy: Yeah...y'know, this probably wouldn't be a bad room to hide in if we had to.
1240
1241Roy: What's that? Sounds like another door over there to check out.
1242
1243> This other door also has a keycard lock. Is there a specific way you would like to open it now that you know it'll automatically open?
1244
1245> Let's swipe the key and stand to the side, hide behind the walls so we can peep in.
1246
1247> you swipe the card and open the door.

1258> You can see what appears to be a massive airport strip that has been taken under total chaos and almost seems to be some sort of war zone now. People are shooting people, flashbangs are being thrown, and vehicles are being tossed about and damaged beyond repair. You can see that a truck seems to have somehow collided through the top of a grounded jet and briefly wonder how the hell that could have happened until you finally see what the nope-police's concerns are a little focused on right now...
1259
1260> A spectral creature just a bit larger than an average elephant screeches as a ray of frost showers upon some goons that happened to be too close together, encasing them in ice completely. 1272
1273Danny: I would like to get off of Mr. Bones' Wild Ride.
1274
1275Roy: You can't.

1282
1283Roy: Yeah absolutely.
1284
1285Roy: ...y'know we could go check if this keycard will work on the Security door. Don't know if the clearance is high enough, and you'd have to pick a regular lock too, but we could try.
1286
1287Danny: If you wanna try it dude.
1288
1289Roy: ...maybe we should keep looking and see if we find anything else first.
1290

Almost has if they materialized out of nowhere, someone is directly in the doorway. An older looking female with a completely shaved head stares at you and Danny with dark empty looking eyes. An empty frown is upon her expression as the condescending stare seems to look right through you.
1309
1310> She's wearing a white jumpsuit.
1311
1312Roy: What the hell?!
1313
1314> Well. This is a bit of a sticky situation, isn't it? The guy on the intercom said to run, but you know the guy on the intercom and you're not sure you trust him completely.

1316> Back away slowly.
1317
1318Roy: Hey...you're another prisoner, right? Maybe we can...work together...?

1389
1390> Even though you didn't directly aim for her, she seemed to assume you were gunning for her. She disappears in the blink of an eye and reappears facing you within a few feet of you. She draws her own gun to shoot, but she's moving quite slowly.
1391
1392> Now that the woman isn't blocking your sight of Danny, you can briefly see that he took a pretty bad shot to his shoulder and is clutching it while on the ground.

1394
1395Roy:

1460> Get back up and run over towards her. You might not be ready to shoot her just yet, but you don't have any problems bludgeoning her with a gun.
1461
1462> Might +2 unless you have the skill that allows athletics
1463
1464> I'm gonna spend 2 points of resolve on this /S H O T
1465Roy:
1466Might > 2 + 6 > 8

1468Nope-Woman > 3+3 = 6
1469> Damage: 2
1470> She did not react quickly enough to port herself out of the way of the attack. Instead, you managed to hit her over the head with it. Her form crumples to the floor.

1476> You can see that her eyes are still open and that she is breathing, but she does not appear to be moving from the spot. She continues to stare off into nothing.
1477
1478Roy: ...
1479
1480> Think about that person's casual clothing you picked up.
1481
1482Roy: ...shit...
1483
1484> Get closer and try to tie her hands behind her back, and then blindfold her using the casual clothing's sleeves and pants legs.
1485
1486> Roll Athletics
1487
1488Roy:
1489Athletics > 6
1490
1491> Teleport > 0 lmao
1492> You get close in order to do what you intend, however, her body suddenly jerks and her form flickers slightly. You managed to get your hands off of her before something happened. Do you proceed?
1493
1494Roy: ...man, what the fuck...?
1495
1496> P r o c e e d.
1497
1498> Athletics again
1499> or you can opt not to and see where this goes
1500
1501> You know what? Let's opt out and see where this goes
1502
1503> You move in to tie her up and blindfold her. As you're doing so, you notice that the lights seemed to have gone out. You are now in total darkness.
1504> Also +1 Resolve for code of conduct and +1 for taking the hit
1505
1506Roy:
1507> You really should have gone to the beach.
1508
1509> Roll Perception with a -3
1510
1511Roy:
1512Perception > 2 - 3 > It's Dark As Fuck
1513
1514> Yep, you can't see shit. You can only fumble around in the darkness until at last, you find a light switch. You flip that bad boy on and find that you're in a relatively large supply closet for what appears to be medical supplies. You can see bandages, medical kits, syringes, needles, all kinds of pain killers and strange liquids with names you've never even heard of. There is only a single door that leads out.
1515> The woman is on the ground and not moving, but successfully tied up.
1516
1517Roy: . . .
1518
1519> You've never felt so conflicted about something in your entire life.
1520
1521Roy: ...shit, okay. Guess we're doing this now. I've gotta get back out...
1522
1523> Collect whatever bandages, medical kits and pain killers you can hold onto right now, before exiting the closet.
1524> And stay the fuck away from the syringes and needles.
1525
1526> For the sake of simplicity mechanically we'll say you gained 11 bonus points worth of health you can distribute. So you'll roll medical + however many you decide to give. Some people might not be eligible for healing due to the nature of the supplies. <
1527
1528> That'll come in handy.
1529
1530> You exit the closet and find yourself in some sort of hallway of other rooms. You don't recognize this area. A quick peek into one of those rooms shows that this appears to be some area where surgeries and routine check ups are conducted. You also see that there is a single person in scrubs that appears to be searching for something among some cupboards. What would you like to do?<
1531
1532Roy:
1533> Try to quietly continue down the hall and see if you can peek into any of the other rooms quickly.
1534
1535> Stealth +1
1536> Perception -1
1537
1538Roy:
1539Stealth > 2 + 1 > 3
1540Perception > 6 - 1 > 5
1541
1542> You peer into the other rooms and find that a majority of them seem to be empty. You'll occasionally see someone laying down in a bed, but they're either unconscious or that lady you saw back in the place 23 wrecked. There are two more doors, one to the north and one to the south.
1543
1544> As you're looking through, however, the nurse seems to turn at just the right time and sees you. They stare at you for a split second before panic causes their eyes to grow wide before the turn to flee towards the door to the north.
1545
1546Roy:
1547> God dammit, you just had to trust Suki, and you had to trust Ru and now you're running all around a prison island that's also getting attacked by a giant ice monster.
1548
1549> Turn and run south, try and get out through that door.
1550
1551> You decide to leave the nurse alone, turn, and run south, opposite of the door the nurse was going through. You burst through and find yourself in a long room filled with curtains and beds with straps on them. <
1552> Perception <
1553
1554Roy:
1555Perception > 5
1556
1557> There's a door to east and a door at the very end of the hall at the south. Some of the curtains are open and over half of them are closed. These beds don't at all look comfortable, but the important thing you notice here is that you can here the sound of a heart monitor. Coming from somewhere towards the middle of the room. <
1558
1559Roy: . . .
1560
1561> Head for the middle of the room. Try to figure out where the sound is coming from.
1562
1563> Perception once more
1564
1565Roy:
1566Perception > 5
1567
1568> You can tell exactly which bed that sound is coming from. The curtains around it are closed as well as the ones around it. You can also hear shouting coming from operating rooms you just left but you can't make out what it is.
1569
1570Roy:
1571> Probably a bunch of fuck-off guards coming because that nurse grabbed them.
1572
1573> No better place to hide than here, you suppose.
1574
1575> Head through the curtains and see if you can hide anywhere in there.
1576
1577> Perception -1 + Stealth +1
1578
1579Roy:
1580Perception > 2 - 1 > 1
1581Stealth > 1 + 1 > 2
1582
1583> You fail to get a good look at the person in the bed as you try to find someplace to hide. There's not really much of a place to hide besides behind the bed. As you fall into silence, between the beeps of the monitor, you begin to hear something coming from...above you.
1584
1585tiktiktiktik....
1586
1587> You look up towards the sound.
1588> Sova take it from here <
1589
1590> Nani
1591
1592> The sound appears to be coming from a vent in the ceiling
1593> The covering goes ajar and half-falls from its place as something begins to emerge from withi- oh jesus it's a giant spider
1594
1595Roy: Come ON, really?!
1596
1597> Try to keep your voice hushed but damn you've been there done that with spiders.
1598
1599> Back up into the curtain and pull a gun out to aim at the giant spider, keep your eyes on it.
1600
1601> Roy roll perception
1602
1603Roy:
1604Perception > 4
1605
1606> As this thing crawls out onto the ceiling, you begin to realize that while it's very spiderlike, it actually appears to be robotic.
1607
1608> Is it, like, doing anything particular?
1609
1610> Other than fueling your nightmares, it's just looking around for the moment
1611
1612Roy:
1613> Hey behind the bed is looking a lot better than nothing right about now.
1614
1615> Put that gun down and try to h i d e if you can.
1616
1617> Stealth
1618
1619Roy:
1620Stealth > 2 lol
1621
1622> After a pause, the thing climbs along the ceiling toward the bed and jumps down onto it, but it doesn't seem to notice you
1623> It actually appears to be more interested in the person in the bed as it crawls up onto them
1624
1625Roy: . . .
1626> Carefully try and sneak a look at who's in the bed.
1627
1628> Ohi Nick
1629
1630> You don't need a perception check to see any of this. You look up at the bed and You can see Nick simply laying in it, either completely unconscious or heavily sedated. He's wearing an orange jump suit and appears to be bandaged up in several places, but not everything is covered up. It seems like bandages were hastily done as well, so they're not really sticking all that well. He's got plenty of cuts and bruises on him, but more importantly is strange patterns what appears to first and second degree burns on his body. It's...actually kind of disgusting. Instead of being in one general area it seems to follow lines and and patches in general areas. You're not sure what the hell kind of burn could cause that.
1631> He's also strapped down and missing his robotic limb
1632
1633Roy:
1634> Oh...god. Oh holy shit. Nick...? What the hell happened to him...?
1635
1636> But you found him! God, that's at least great...
1637
1638> ...wait is that horrifying techno spider thing on top of him...?
1639
1640> Come out from behind the bed and try to throw that thing off of him god damnit you're not going to have just found Nick only for one of Theodore's robot assholes to do something to him.
1641
1642> You easily throw the thing; it seems it was too focused on Nick to notice you
1643> Its legs curl around itself in a circular shape as if to protect itself as it hits the wall and bounces to the floor
1644
1645> ...And then it speaks
1646
1647???: Ow.
1648
1649> Roy, its feminine robotic voice is painfully familiar
1650
1651Roy: . . .
1652> Oh fuck wait that wasn't one of Theodore's robot assholes. Or at least not one of the ones you were looking for.
1653
1654Roy: ...Abi? Abi, is that you? How the hell did you...? Shit, sorry, I didn't know...
1655
1656> There is a delay as the spiderbot's legs sprawl back out and it picks itself up
1657ABI: Roy?
1658
1659Roy: Yeah...yeah, it's me. Fuck, it's good to see you. Abi, do you have any idea what the hell's going on here?
1660
1661ABI: My memories are still being decompressed, but we appear to be in a base or prison run by the group we have been looking for. In other words: we found them.
1662
1663Roy: ...yeah, looks that way. Nick's here, I found Jayden in another room but he should still be there unless they moved him. I haven't seen Embed, but I met this guy named Danny, and...shit, I need to find him. He got shot in the shoulder...wait, what do you mean your memories are being decompressed?
1664
1665ABI: In order to be granted safe passage and help ensure your safety, I agreed to factory reset myself.
1666
1667Roy: ...what?
1668> That definitely catches you by surprise. She...factory reset herself? To get in here?
1669
1670> ...would she have had to do that if you just hadn't gotten yourself roofied? Could you both have gotten in without resorting to that?
1671
1672Roy: But...but wouldn't that...? Why the hell would you reset yourself?! How...how do you still remembering me, then? Wouldn't you...how are you still able to decompress your memories? What???
1673
1674> You're pretty confused right now, and you can't help but feel simultaneously relieved and awful about this situation.
1675
1676ABI: I lied.
1677> She begins to crawl back up the bed
1678> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGP5NxcCyjE
1679
1680Roy: ...you lied?
1681
1682> Consider a moment. She can't lie, can she? What if she's lying about the fact that she lied?
1683
1684> ...then she's still lying right now, dumbass. Think about these things before you think. Fuckin' idiot.
1685
1686Roy: ...shit, nice job then...Abi, I don't think we're in any condition to move Nick yet. We still need to find Danny and 23, grab Jayden, and find a way out of here while dealing with the guards and the giant fuck-off ice ghost monster outside.
1687
1688ABI: Have you tried waking Nick up?
1689> Inspect and try to see if his condition seems stable
1690
1691> Roll Medical or perception

1699
1700> Welcome to Team Friendship
1701
1702
1703> You can tell that his condition is stable, not in any real danger of dying right now, and that he's obviously being kept alive...but still everything looks pretty painful-moving him would probably be difficult if he wasn't sedated.
1704
1705ABI: If we could wake him up, I may be able to help him.
1706
1707Roy: ...well. I mean, I don't...really know how to just wake someone up who looks this much like...uh...
1708
1709> Consider your words.
1710
1711Roy: ...well, shit. And is in a hospital bed. Can we wake him up, or is he like, super knocked out?
1712
1713ABI: I have no idea. Waking him up may be a painful ordeal, but he seems to be stable enough. Assuming he can access his powers, I may be able to fix him.
1714
1715Roy: ...okay...guess we can try, then.
1716
1717> How's that commotion outside sound? Anything of note?
1718
1719> The shouting from the surgery area has calmed down slightly. You're just beginning to think it's safe...until the door you came in through clicks open.
1720> Roll perception both of you
1721
1722Perception > 2

1724Roy > 3
1725
1726> The both of you can hear two voices, but you can't make out if there's more. You can hear the conversation the two have as they step into the room.
1727??: What happened to survival?
1728???: Well if a pretty lady shows up beggin for help-you don't deny it.
1729??: B-But-
1730???: Shut up and just look for the fuck. They can't have left here without the proper pass...
1731??: A-Alright...
1732
1733Roy:
1734> Fuck.
1735
1736Roy: ...Abi, this doesn't sound too good. Sounds like the only exit I can use is that one...can you wake Nick up?
1737
1738ABI: Likely, but for now hiding seems to be the best course of action.
1739ABI > crawl under the blanket
1740
1741Roy: Abi where am I supposed to hide??? I could like distract them for you.
1742
1743> Despite the suggestion, go and hide behind the bed again.
1744> The two of you go to your respective hiding spots. The footsteps echo through the room as the two continue talking.
1745
1746???: I'll take this side, you take that one. We'll scan through together.
1747??: A-Alright.
1748
1749> You can occasionally hear the slink of the rings grinding against metal as they push the curtains around and check empty beds. Steadily, it grows closer and closer. The curtains for Nick's area are pulled back suddenly and viciously, a gun pointed inside at Nick. The guard hesitates and speaks.
1750
1751??: What was the descriptor again?
1752???: Uhh...black hair, orange jumpsuit...nurse didn't get a good look at em.
1753??: So if it's got an orange suit I shoot it?
1754???: What? No! This is the prisoner's bay, you know what happens if you shoot the wrong one!
1755??: Oh...o-okay...
1756
1757> The guard slowly closes the curtain, but stops suddenly as they look up at the half-open vent.
1758
1759??: Uh...did they say what kinda abilities this one had?
1760???: No, why?
1761??: How much do you wanna bet he has something that can fit up a vent?
1762???: Fuckin' hell..you keep searching, i'll go check with security for a signature.
1763??: Why do I have to stay!?
1764???: Because you're the rookie.
1765??: You're only my senior by two months.
1766???: You got a lot to learn, kid.
1767??: Stop calling me kid.
1768
1769> The two continue to argue, but it looks as if they're about to leave without spotting you. Anything you would like to do?
1770
1771> The entertainment value alone is enough to let this continue
1772
1773> Yeah honestly ride this one out.
1774
1775???: So are you staying or going?
1776??: GOING!? I'm not going to be alone when there's a super-powered freak out there!
1777???: Fine! Fine!
1778??: How dumb do you think I am?
1779???: Very.
1780??: Ow.
1781
1782> There's the sound of a door opening before it shuts behind them. Their voices fade out as they move away.
1783
1784Roy: ...shit. A super-powered freak...damn, I hope Danny's doing alright...
1785
1786> Step out from behind the bed once more.
1787
1788ABI: "Distract them?"
1789> Crawl out from under the blanket
1790ABI: How have you survived this long without me?
1791
1792Roy: Believe it or not, I've been being pretty careful.
1793Roy: And then I got teleported into a med closet by an unconscious white-suited prisoner that teleported me into the air and dropped me, and from there I've been a little less careful, y'know?
1794
1795ABI: what
1796
1797Roy: Did you hear the announcement? Some warning on white-suited prisoners? Well, apparently there are some of those around, and they've got powers and don't seem happy to work together, so.
1798
1799ABI: Then you should wake Nick up immediately. I am currently ill-suited for this task in comparison.
1800
1801Roy: Right, right...
1802
1803> Look at Nick. How exactly are you supposed to do this?
1804
1805Roy: ...Nick? Hey, Nick...
1806
1807> Carefully reach for his shoulder and shake him. Not too hard, he looks like he's in not the best shape.
1808
1809> His body kind of moves from you shaking him, but there is no response.
1810
1811Roy: ...are they like, keeping him out or something? Does he have any, uh...I dunno how this works, are they keeping him sedated with something stuck in him?
1812
1813ABI: I do not see an IV line. If they are keeping him sedated, they must be doing it by hand with a syringe. He should wake up on his own eventually, but I am unsure of how long that would take.
1814
1815Roy: ...Abi, can you keep an eye on him? Or at least, remember where he is so we can come back to get him? Maybe you should find us a way out of here so we can wheel him out quickly with us if we have to...and I really should go find the others...
1816
1817> You won't lie: it sucks to find Nick and have to suggest leaving him again, even if for a short time, but...Danny, Jayden and 23 all still need help.
1818
1819ABI: I have perfect memory recall. I have also been somewhat familiarized with the facility. Yes, I can remember where this room is.
1820ABI: However, splitting up and leaving you alone does not sound like a good idea.
1821> The last time you left him alone, this happened
1822
1823Roy: C'mon, you make it sound like I get myself into trouble often.
1824
1825ABI: How did you get here?
1826
1827Roy: ...
1828> Ouch
1829
1830Roy: ...right. Uh...sorry. About all of this, I mean. That's, uh...yeah you're right.
1831
1832ABI: Technically, this is the place we were looking for, so it worked out.
1833
1834Roy: ...
1835> Yeah but you almost reset yourself because of it.
1836
1837Roy: ...I guess so. Maybe we can discuss what we would have done differently and what we would have done the same way after we take care of all this. For now...if we can get to Security, I could at least find Jayden again, and point out where I got teleported away from Danny.
1838
1839ABI: What do you have available for protection?
1840
1841Roy: ...two handguns? But, uh...I'd rather not, y'know...use them. They're kind of the real deal.
1842
1843ABI: Disappointing. If you are going to be a pansy, we should retrieve your preferred weapons.
1844
1845Roy: Gee, sorry I'm not all aboard the murder train...yeah, though. I guess...still, I think we should try to find Danny first. He kind of got shot in the shoulder by teleporting lady. I found a medicine closet back there and I got some medical equipment we can use.
1846
1847ABI: This body is ill-suited for combat, but it is currently equipped with a powerful tranquilizer. There is little more I can do if we encounter anyone hostile.
1848
1849Roy: ...so, you're saying we should probably get weapons we can use first before we go off trying to find anyone. Right?
1850
1851ABI: Unless you would prefer to risk having to shoot someone with a real gun. I am indifferent.
1852
1853Roy: ...either way, let's start heading up the way those two went. If they're heading to Security, it's probably down that way somewhere. We're gonna need a keycard and a key to open the door, though. Even if you can hack the card reader, someone's gonna have to pick a lock.
1854
1855ABI: These people have admittedly impressive security. Taking control of their vehicles was difficult enough.
1856
1857Roy: ...well, Danny was pretty good at picking locks. So I guess that means if we want to get into Security we're gonna need a keycard. Or, we're gonna have to catch up to those two guys real quick.
1858
1859> Hold out a hand for Spider-Abi to hop onto.
1860
1861ABI: What are you doing.
1862> Stare at the hand
1863
1864Roy: ...you said you're coming with me, right? You...you gonna hop on, or...?
1865
1866ABI: This body is quite capable of traveling without assistance.
1867> She hops off the bed and her legs contract into circles as she begins to r o l l
1868
1869Roy: Alright, you're a strong, independent spider bot, got it. Time to roll out.
1870
1871> Take one more quick look at Nick before taking a jogging start and kicking back on your heels to roll after Abi.
1872
1873> Which way are you guys headed out? The room you came in from, the room to the south, or the room to the east?
1874
1875ABI > stop
1876
1877ABI: Nick may wake up and panic if we are not here. Do you have a way to leave him a note?
1878
1879Roy: ...
1880
1881Roy: I've got paper. Don't think I've got a pen, but I'm bleeding a little from my side so maybe I could use that and finger paint it.
1882Roy: ...you think he'd be disturbed by a note left in blood?
1883
1884ABI:
1885
1886> The spider-bot slowly turns to face Roy
1887
1888ABI: Yes.
1889
1890Roy: Well. Then I don't have any means of leaving a note, then.
1891
1892ABI: Then we should hurry.
1893> Continue forth
1894
1895Roy:
1896> Onward.
1897
1898> Also the two guys left through the north door right? I believe the plan is to go that way because they were heading to Security so presumably Security will be somewhere that way.
1899
1900> The north door Roy should know is operating rooms, but yes they left through there. Just confirming if that's the way you want to go.
1901
1902> Yeah unless Abi has any thoughts on it.
1903
1904> ABI has no objections
1905
1906> Do you peek or go on through
1907
1908> I guess peep would be the sensible option.
1909
1910> Roll Perception-1/Stealth+1

1918Roy:
1919> Seems legit
1920
1921> Head on in and head down the hall to the doors on the other side, since you know the other door leads to the medical closet.
1922
1923ABI > follow but stick to the walls/ceiling
1924
1925> You continue along and head towards the other door. You approach it and immediately notice that this door requires a keycard to open.
1926
1927Roy: . . .
1928
1929> The Goon Squad said the other doors in the room you were just in would need a keycard to get through too.
1930
1931> Did...did you get teleported into a part of the prison where every door requires a keycard...without the keycard?
1932
1933Roy: ...well, shit.
1934
1935ABI: I could attempt to hack it.
1936
1937Roy: Can you try to do that safely?
1938
1939ABI: No. Hold this.
1940> The spider jumps up at Roy and springs into Morph Ball Modeâ„¢ as ABI's electrical form materializes from it
1941
1942Roy:
1943> Hold the Morph Ballâ„¢ while Zero Suit Abi gets to work.
1944
1945ABI > Engage The Door
1946

1959ABI > Emerge
1960
1961ABI: The doors seem to recognize me.
1962
1963Roy: Recognize you...?
1964
1965ABI: Due to my earlier surrender, I may now be registered in their security system in the same way Embed is.
1966> Maybe you should stay out of the spider for a while
1967> You're not sure if you just pissed off the door exclusively or if this is a hive-mind thing
1968
1969Roy: Wait, the same way Embed is? You're still under your own control though, right?
1970
1971ABI: As far as I can tell, yes. However, they also administered electrical shocks to force him to obey them. This is only a theory, but the door may bite me if I attempt to hack it again.
1972
1973Roy: Oh. Well, shit...back to square one, then. We're gonna need a keycard. We should probably try and look around the rooms here...
1974
1975ABI: I have another idea.
1976> Go through the wall
1977> Maybe Roy can't follow you, but you can at least get a look at what's on the other side
1978
1979Roy:
1980> Oh okay so long space cowboy
1981
1982> The other side of the door appears to be a ghost town of sorts. There's papers everywhere, some things knocked over, and in general it's a bit of a mess. There's a door to the west, north, and east, however the door to the west looks like it's securely protected with a thick metal door. This area has many chairs, a large round desk area, and in general appears to be some sort of check-in office-like area. <
1983
1984ABI: How incredibly underwhelming.
1985> Return to Roy
1986ABI: That was disappointing. I was hoping there would be people on the other side. There are not.
1987
1988Roy: Man, really...? Well, what was on the other side?
1989
1990ABI: Trash and doors. It seemed to be the reception area. One of the doors looked particularly reinforced.
1991
1992Roy: Huh...
1993
1994Roy: ...wait, you can go through walls. Y'know, if you could find Danny he has a keycard that we found. He might be able to let me out of here. Greasy blonde hair, bleeding shoulder, orange jumpsuit...or, we can start looking around this area for a keycard.
1995
1996ABI: I could look, but I would have to leave you alone.
1997
1998Roy: Right. Well, if that bothers you for one reason or another, let's get looking then.
1999
2000> Start looking around the Operating Rooms for a keycard of some kind.
2001
2002> Perception abi too if you're looking
2003
2004Roy:
2005Perception > 4
2006
2007ABI: It would be more efficient for us to search in different places, so I will trust you not to die on your own. If you find a card, I suggest staying near Nick until I get back so that I can locate you.
2008
2009Roy: Alright, makes sense to me. You be careful too, yeah? And if you find something, uh...how about you come back here? 'Cause I'm not going anywhere whether I do or don't find anything.
2010
2011ABI: Where else would I go?
2012
2013Roy: I...I know, yeah. I guess I just kind of figured I should say something too, so...
2014
2015ABI: The sentiment is appreciated.
2016> Blorp through a wall
2017
2018Roy: Right...now, back to looking around the operating rooms...
2019
2020> How would you like to look around Roy? <
2021> Which way are you headed Abi? <
2022
2023Roy:
2024> Just poke your head into the operating rooms, see what's there.
2025
2026> Dealer's choice, let's see what you do with this power
2027> There's plenty of shit in all directions so
2028
2029> Roy you have a look around and you're starting to notice that the people you noticed last time are no longer there. It seems as if the injured have been moved out of this room since you last arrived. You're not really having any luck in searching around...until you hear something clatter from somewhere in the operating rooms. You're not sure where it came from...but you get the idea that you're not alone. <
2030
2031> Abi, you decided to pick a random ass direction and headed East. You find yourself in an long and narrow hallway. There's a T section to the north that leads to two doors, a door between that, a door at the very south, and what appears to be another hallway next to the door by the south. There is nobody here.<
2032
2033> Engage a random door
2034
2035> Which door?
2036
2037> R a n d o m
2038> I will continue forcing you to pick /shot
2039
2040Roy: . . .
2041> Freeze up a little for a moment.
2042
2043> Turn and slowly start to move down the rooms, keeping a careful eye open for any signs of movement.
2044
2045> Roy Perception +2
2046> Alright fine then I see how it is
2047
2048> Abi you decide to visit that hall just down the way before the actual door. You come into the other hallway and see two doors to the south just before what appears to be another hallway at the very end accompanied by yet another door.
2049
2050Roy:
2051Perception > 2 + 2 > 4

2058> Tie breaker same bonus
2059
2060Roy:
2061Perception > 1 + 2 > 3
2062
2063> You move down the rooms in search of a sign of movement. You don't see any movement, but what you do notice that a closet within one of the rooms now seems to be slightly ajar...
2064
2065Roy: ...
2066> Okay, how are you approaching this? Clearly whoever's in there is more scared of you if they're hiding from you.
2067
2068> Enter the room and put your hands up, slowly approach the closet.
2069
2070Roy: ...okay look, I'm gonna level with you. I'm really not looking to hurt you or anyone else. There's a giant ice ghost monster attacking this place, weird fuckin' white suited prisoners running around, and more fuckin' goons looking to kill me. So, whoever you are, I just wanna talk. That's it.
2071
2072Roy: ...okay well that and I'd like to get out of here and not die. So.
2073
2074> Roy Charm
2075
2076ABI > Roulette again
2077
2078Roy:
2079Charm > 3
2080
2081Roy > At first, it's silent. Fingers appear on the edge of the door and curl around the edge. The door opens a bit more and you can see a face peer out of it. The person seems to just become even more fearful just looking at you and pulls the door shut completely. You can hear shuffling in the closet along with more clattering and clanging as they knock stuff over within. The door opens once again and a card is tossed out of the closet and onto the floor. The door closes shut again.
2082
2083???: Leave me alone.
2084
2085Abi > You wander along the hallway willy nilly before a certain plaque outside the doors on the way down the hall catch your attention. "Authorized Personnel Only"
2086
2087> Well that sounds like a fun place!
2088
2089> You phase through the wall and into the fun room to find that the temperature has decreased considerably in here. In front of you are rows upon rows of electronics kept in cooling containers. You don't need to roll to realize that you have found the site's server room.
2090
2091
2092Roy: . . .
2093> Cautiously step forward and kneel down. Pick up the card.
2094
2095Roy: Alright...if you really want me gone, I'll go...uh. How are you going to get out of here without a keycard?
2096
2097Roy > There's another period of silence before the person speaks again.
2098
2099???: ...Oh don't you worry about me just please dear god leave me alone.
2100
2101ABI:

2103
2104> Remain calm, do not impulsively jump straight into something, investigate the room first
2105
2106Roy > The person is quite obviously terrified. What would you like to do?
2107
2108Abi > Perception or Technology Check, Investigation Applies.
2109
2110> Man it's a good thing Investigation exists lel 0 + 6
2111
2112Roy: ...fine, suit yourself. Y'know, at least temporarily, we should really all be on the same side here until that fuck-off ice monster goes down. But I'm guessing you guys wouldn't even think about a truce, would you?
2113
2114> Start to walk out of the operating room with the keycard.

2120
2121> Abi > You can tell just from looking at these things that they're heavily secured in the technology department. You're not quite sure if you'd be able to do any of this alone in a timely fashion. Other than that there doesn't seem to be anyone or anything else in this room.
2122> Roy > The man remains in the closet, you are left to leave the operating room on your own.
2123
2124ABI > make the smart decision and walk away until you can get Nick to help you
2125> lol jk try anyway
2126
2127Roy: ...
2128> You were kind of hoping he wouldn't actually stay in the closet, but...well, what the hell did you expect from one of the guys that probably spends their time helping kill people like you?
2129
2130> ...god dammit though you still feel pretty bad about the idea of leaving the nurse here without a keycard. Well, Abi told you to stay here anyways and wait, so...wait around in the Operating Rooms, outside of the one you just left.
2131
2132> Abi roll a hot perception for me will ya
2133> or academics
2134> Roy you decide to wait around...for what besides Abi, nobody knows because that nurse sure isn't coming out of that closet.
2135
2136> lol 2
2137
2138> alright moving on. Roll machine control to attempt server hacking.
2139
2140> 10
2141
2142Roy: ...
2143> Idea. Step back into the operating room with the nurse.
2144
2145Roy: Y'know, I got teleported in here by one of those white suited prisoners. She was unconscious, so I tied her hands behind her back and blindfolded her, but...she's still in the big medicine closet. I dunno if she's still there or not.
2146
2147Roy: I'm leaving, so unless you want to be stuck in here without a keycard and with her, then you might want to at least consider tagging along with me.
2148
2149ABI > Additionally, call up ya boy Daymon ring ring motherfucker
2150
2151Roy > Roll Charm with a -3
2152Daymon > Answer: What up?

2155Roy:
2156Charm > 4 - 3 > 1
2157
2158> The nurse doesn't leave the closet.
2159
2160ABI: Hello, this is Abi. You are aware of the people hunting the Drakes, correct?
2161
2162Daymon: Ohey Abi. Yeah I have?
2163
2164Roy:
2165> Leave your gun with two bullets in it on the ground and kick it over by the closet, in case the nurse needs it.
2166
2167> Head for the door Abi went through, scan the card and step on through.
2168
2169ABI: I am currently inside of their servers. Would you like to help me ruin their lives?
2170
2171Daymon: Oh hell yeah gimme the deets

2178> The two of you work away at the server. Daymon appears to be a bit perplexed by the coding, but the two of you just barely manage to get past the firewall and into the inner workings.
2179> You're in.
2180
2181> A secondary tech roll roll must now be made. You can choose to give it up for a point of resolve. This will not impact the outcome of the previous roll.
2182
2183> So like, we're still in if I take the resolve
2184
2185> ys
2186
2187> Just there will absolutely be a catch /shot
2188> Bring on the pain I like free resolve
2189
2190Roy > You head on through the door and see the same sight as before: turned over chairs, papers, knocked over trashcans, a desk, and so on. You can see the heavily secured door to the west along with the northern and eastern door just fine.
2191
2192Abi > You will come to regret this decision
2193
2194Abi > The two of you are in. You now have access to a full layout of the area. In order to keep things simple and keep track of where Roy's been, i'll send you the bare map in DMs. You find that from here you can open/close doors remotely, manipulate most computers from afar, and jump to any point in the map.
2195
2196The only issue is that the way the servers are set up are confusing and strange. You can only mess with certain areas at a time before you have to jump to a different part of the server to mess with stuff in a different area. These areas will be color-coded on the map. There are also certain areas that are "blacked out" which means you can't access them at all from here no matter your rolls.
2197
2198Another problem is that you can't access any security footage and cameras from here, so you can't see what's going on from this area.
2199
2200Daymon will continue to assist you with rolls while you are in the server room. You can also request that he do things in the server while you're somewhere else, but he might struggle without your help.
2201
2202Roy: 3 doors, huh? Eenie, Meenie, Miney...
2203
2204> Check the East door.
2205
2206> as in look at it or go through it?
2207
2208> Go through it.
2209
2210Roy > You go through the door and find yourself in a long hallway. There's a T-Section north of you that leads to more doors, a door to the east just past you, a hallway further down, and a door at the very end of the hall.
2211
2212Roy:
2213> Work one at a time. Head to the T-Section to the north and check where those doors lead.
2214
2215Roy > The door to the west leads to yet another hall with a single door in it.The eastern one leads to what appears to be some sort of training complex. There's people inside that are heavily armed and seem to be guarding a particular building. Fortunately, they're too far away to notice really notice you peeking through.

2229
2230> As annoying as it's gonna be, yes
2231
2232> Open the door on the left of the hall waaaaaaaaaay at the top

2251
2252> What would you like to try now?
2253
2254> Can I detect computers to jump to?
2255
2256> would require a machine control to check
2257> you can find one available computers in the yellow server. They've been marked on your personal map.
2258
2259> In what world is that the yellow server
2260

2309
2310> You successfully fish out five locked doors

You throw yourself out of the servers and back into the room itself, but not without taking 3 points of damage for the reckless act. <
2369
2370Daymon: Annnnnd there it all goes
2371> I assume you can still call him with communicator
2372
2373> Yeah there's no machine requirement on it
2374> Now's probably a good time to ask if ABI was healed between quicksaving and getting her spidey suit

2377> Does Abi have anything to say to Daymon?
2378
2379> Absolutely
2380ABI: I may have to continue resorting to such destructive measures. I cannot risk being detected by their security systems again in the future.
2381
2382Daymon: Again? If they already know you're there then what's up?
2383> He pulls the phone away from his ear briefly to switch hands. During this period you can hear him quietly say "The fuck?" in regards to something on his end.
2384
2385ABI: It is misidentifying me as Embed. It seems to be punishing him when it detects me.

2400> He's sounding a little panicked as he struggles to do something on the other end of the line. You can hear loud banging noises in the background along with muffled shouting of strangers' voices. There's a much louder bang as the voices suddenly become clearer. You can hear loud angered screeching of felines followed by gunfire.
2401
2402Daymon: FUCK-

2413> You might have just killed both of them
2414ABI:
2415> For once you don't want to hear yourself talk
2416> Start backtracking to Nick
2417
2418> and now we wait to see where Roy is
2419
2420Roy:
2421> Woah, fuck, okay. Definitely not going through the door with all the heavily armed people in it.
2422
2423> Go through that western door and head to the door on the other end.
2424
2425> You make your way on through and quickly find yourself in that room full of vending machines those two guards prevented you from entering earlier. It seems safe to pass now. You now know where everything is in comparison to where you were.<
2426
2427Roy:
2428> Oh, shit. The vending machines. Then...
2429
2430> Abi told you to stay back with Nick while she was gone, but you can't just wait there if Danny's bleeding out of his shoulder somewhere. You just met him, but hell, you don't want to let him die.
2431
2432> You'll just have to be fast, then. Continue on ahead, head through the door and start heading down the hall.
2433
2434Roy > you continue along and head past the vending machines into the Hall of cells once more. You can hear shouting coming from the end of the hall, closer to the security room. Then, you can see the two guards from Nick's room lingering outside the security room. Roll stealth and perceive, no bonus or hindering.
2435Abi > you make it back to Nick only to find that Roy isn't there. The doors around Nick's room are all open now thanks to your meddling, but he is now completely alone.
2436
2437Roy:

2442
2443> You can see that the security door has been opened, but one of the guards looks like they're having trouble opening it enough to get in. As you get closer you can hear what they're saying.
2444
2445???: What. The. Fuck. Is. Going. On?
2446??: Are you sure we shouldn't be looking for that prisoner?
2447???: Marcus and them will handle it.
2448??: But like...he could have superpowers?
2449???: And they have big ass guns, now help me get this thing open-it's jammed or something...
2450
2451> Just your luck, one of them heard your footsteps walking into the hall as they were passing the end of the hallway. They point their gun at you. <
2452
2453??: Hey! You! Stop right there!
2454???: You're supposed to say freeze.
2455??: Stop fucking with the door and get over here, there's another one!
2456
2457ABI: Are you awake yet?
2458> Hey may as well try before you leave Nick alone again to go find Roy
2459
2460Abi > you don't receive a response
2461
2462> Welp you tried lol time to go find Roy
2463> Any way to tell where he went?
2464
2465> Perceive
2466
2467> lel 1
2468
2469> nope
2470
2471> Then ABI's first idea is to head for the door they were looking at earlier since that seems like the most likely way for him to have gone
2472
2473> You float on through the open doors and arrive in the messy check-in room. It's just as messy as it was before, except now the secured door off to the west is open. There are now armed guards in front of it with heavy weaponry. Roll Stealth.
2474
2475
2476
2477Roy:
2478> Fuck.
2479
2480> Alright, play it cool, play it cool. You're still on one end of the hallway, and they are not.
2481
2482> Bring your hands up and back up a step.
2483
2484Roy: Woah, woah, woah! Hey fellas, don't you think there's more important things to be pointing that thing at? Like the big ice monster outside? I'm, like, the least of your concerns.

2493
2494??: You think I'm suicidal enough to go out there and fight that thing??
2495???: Stop talking to him and just get him back in a cell, kid.
2496> The one pointing a gun at you
2497??: Y-You can do something though...I don't know what but you can do something. You're just like that thing.
2498PikashockLast Friday at 6:56 PM
2499Roy: I can do something, huh? Well, let me tell you something: I don't know things.
2500
2501Roy: And yet, I know that when you were both by the vending machines, the other guy there said the training instructor's gonna teach you to fight, and he'd teach you how to survive. I know in that room with the beds you two thought I might be up in the vents, and that that dude's two months your senior. And now I know you two can't open that door, and that you figure Marcus and the others could handle me.
2502
2503Roy: That's three times you didn't know I was there. If I could, and-or wanted to attack you or kill you, I would've done it already, and I wouldn't be standing here like a dumbass with my hands up. So, how about you two chill for a second and hear me out?
2504

2513???: Dude, you're gonna get us killed.
2514??: But he's got a point.
2515???: He's not the only one you need to worry about ignoring the fact that he's probably just plotting something.
2516??: I don't think he is...
2517???: Does he have you brainwashed??
2518??: What? No!
2519???: That's exactly what someone brainwashed would say!
2520> The "Senior" is now pointing their gun at the person you have thoroughly convinced that you're harmless. The trainee points their gun right on back at the person, away from you.

2524> YouveGottaBeKiddingMe.png
2525
2526Roy: Guys. Are you fucking serious? Holy shit, look, have you ever even been in a life or death situation before? You can lock me up, shoot me, shoot each other later, okay? But there's way more important things going on here, and none of us have time for this.
2527

2535??: OrangeGuy, what the hell do you want anyways
2536
2537Abi > Not gonna bother with a tie breaker
2538> The guards don't seem to notice you, they're far too busy talking amongst themselves. You can't hear what they're saying from here though.
2539
2540ABI > get a look at their weapons just to see if they look like normal guns or some scifi crazy shit
2541
2542Abi > Streetwise, Technology, or Academics
2543
2544Academics > 5
2545
2546Abi > They appear to be normal guns, but again not really a model that you've seen anywhere before. You can tell that these ones lack penetrative power, but still pack a powerful punch.
2547
2548Roy:
2549> Oh great, coward with a gun. That always works out well.
2550
2551Roy: I mean, for starters, I won't lie to you. In the long term I'd like to get the fuck out of here. Which, obviously, doesn't work for you so feel free to try and stop me when that time comes. But before that, short term, I'm not leaving here if that fuck-off ice thing is still out there. And you're still gonna have to deal with that whether I'm gone, dead, or locked up. So, how about we come to a temporary truce, and then once we take care of ugly out there, then we can go back to playing Cops and Robbers, yeah?
2552
2553ABI > lol they're harmless just wander right past them
2554
2555Rookie(??): ...Yeah I could work with that.
2556Senior(???): Uhh fuck no? I'd be turned into a snack for that mutated bastard-dog-thing they had!
2557Rookie: I'm sorry do you have a better idea?
2558Senior: My better idea is that we just keep low until they take care of things.
2559Rookie: And then what? Hide again when the next big baddie comes along?
2560Senior: Yes.
2561
2562Abi > Where you floatin there's like three different types of "past them" right now
2563
2564Roy: ...alright, y'know what? Fine then. I'll do your job for you and take care of that thing, and all I'm gonna ask you two to do is to stay out of my way.
2565
2566Roy: ...and if you do that for me I won't tell any of the other guys that you're hiding and slacking off if they catch me.
2567
2568Rookie: Sounds good to me.
2569Senior: Fine!
2570
2571Roy: Cool.
2572
2573> Start heading over towards the Security door.
2574
2575Roy: Let me guess. It's probably frozen, isn't it? You guys have a flamethrower lying around your armory or whatever you've got?
2576
2577ABI > Literally just go right past them in plain view through the door
2578> Fuck them they probably can't do shit
2579
2580Roy >
2581Rookie: Uhh....yeah it looks like the entire place inside is just...coated in ice.
2582Senior: Probably? We don't really have access to the fun stuff but I'm pretty sure there'd be something like that in there...but it's all the way the south sector.
2583
2584Abi > You float right on past these guards. They absolutely take notice of you and begin to panic. One of them attempts to shoot you, but of course, it does nothing. One attempts to grab you, but of course, nothing but getting shocked. You head on into the room and find more beds and even more people. Nurses and doctors alike notice the commotion and begin to panic, unsure of what to do. This room has no other exits and there are plenty of what appear to be wounded officers in here. You don't need a perception check to notice that this was probably a recovery room that is being used as a place for those who can't fight to hide while the crisis is ongoing. They were nice and safe in here until you forcefully opened the doors.
2585
2586Roy: Well, if any of us want to get into the Security Room, somebody's gotta take care of this ice...plus, a flamethrower wouldn't be a bad weapon of choice against that ice thing outside.
2587
2588Roy: ...weird, though. Did it come from inside or something? I don't see why the Security Room and that Locker Room would be frozen up like this otherwise, and even then, why just these rooms...?
2589
2590Roy >
2591Senior: I don't know, but quite frankly we don't really need the security room anymore soooo
2592> shrug
2593Rookie: If you seriously think you can face that thing with just a flamethrower you've gotta have some brain damage...
2594Senior: ....Well I just had an idea.
2595
2596Roy:
2597> Aaaand we're back to people calling you a dumbass first time meeting you. Suki was a nice breath of fresh air on that before she pointed you in the direction of roofies.
2598
2599Roy: What's your idea?
2600
2601> Turn and start walking down the hall as you speak. This was a nice little detour but you do have to go find Danny. And 23. And you should grab Jayden.
2602
2603Senior: Alright so get this....we take....a boat.
2604Rookie: ....yeah?
2605Senior: Weeeee sail out to sea.....
2606Rookie: ....uhuh....
2607Senior: Come back when this all blows over and pretend we were on patrol!
2608> he seems eager about this idea. He gives a clap of his hands and starts walking down the hall in the direction of the isolation chamber you found earlier
2609
2610Roy: . . .
2611
2612> They can do whatever they want. Head through the door next to Security that leads to Gaudy Room 1 with the Desk.
2613
2614ABI > They were nice and safe in here until you forcefully opened the doors
2615
2616> So you just removed their only safety net
2617
2618> Good
2619
2620> How bad are they panicking though, can they be talked to?
2621
2622Roy > You successfully make it to the gaudy hall that leads to the lockers and the even gaudier office space. Roll perception.
2623
2624Abi > It seems to be a mixed bag. Some people are waiting for you to do something before they absolutely freak out and some of the people in the back are going hysterical.
2625> Abi roll perception.

You can recognize this man's face. Instantaneously it comes to you that this particular man was one of the people that worked on the team directly connected to your experiments.
2633
2634Roy > You have a look around and notice something...different about the room. There's some bullet holes here and there and some plants, paintings, and decor are now knocked over, but more interesting than that, a trail of scarlet leads from the office and into the locker room.
2635
2636Roy: Fuck...c'mon, tell me you're alright...
2637
2638> Pick up the pace and follow the trail right on into the locker room.

2646
2647Abi > None besides the one you came through
2648
2649> Fantastic
2650> This is great
2651ABI: What an interesting situation. It would seem I have a room full of defenseless murderers at my mercy. Would anyone like to volunteer to help me decide what to do about this?
2652> Stay right in front of the door
2653
2654Roy > You head into the locker room and follow the trail. It doesn't take long for it the drops to become sparse before seeming to stop completely. You walk around the isles in search of a continuation of the trail, but find none. Suddenly, however, you hear someone speak.
2655
2656???: ROY!
2657
2658> One of the taller locker doors ahead of you swing open and out clumsily drops a greasy blonde with a bloody sloppily-bandaged shoulder. He trips over the locker owner's boots inside the locker and falls face first onto the carpet below.
2659Abi > You are met with either silence or hushed whispers.
2660Abi > Until someone has a bright idea.
2661
2662Someone in the back: ....leave?
2663
2664ABI: Incentivize me.
2665
2666Abi > More silence...until the same guy gathers the courage to pipe up again.
2667SITB: We...have nothing for you?
2668
2669Roy:
2670> You go for your gun for a second before stopping as you realize exactly who is tripping onto his face out of that locker.
2671
2672> Holy shit, nice work, guy.
2673
2674Roy: Danny!
2675
2676> Kneel down on the ground in front of him and quickly start to grab the medical supplies you found.
2677
2678Roy: Shit, it's good to see you're alive, man. C'mon, let me take a look at that shoulder...or, well, I'm not exactly a doctor but I found some supplies, so if you know how to use them better...
2679
2680ABI: How unfortunate. I could have closed this door in return.
2681
2682Roy > Danny manages to sit himself back up. He's still looking pretty terrified, but there's something about him that's a little...different.
2683Danny: I thought you fuckin died or some shit. Go right ahead, I can't do shit with this kind of thing and god it fuckin hurts-but uh...oh-fuckin-I found something though.
2684> He reaches back into the locker with his good hand, not exactly doing a good job of sitting still for you, but he pulls out a small green cartridge and holds it up for you to see.
2685Danny: I. Found. Cigarettes.
2686> He seems ecstatic about this despite the pain.
2687Abi > You are met with silence.
2688
2689Roy:
2690> Alright, hopefully Wither or, hell, even possibly Bates passed down some medical knowledge.
2691
2692> You at the very least know that's super not how it works but hey, can't hurt to hope.
2693
2694Roy: Yeah, well. The white suit teleported us to some fuckin' medical closet, then she passed the fuck out. I grabbed some medical supplies, tied her up, and I found a couple more friends of mine that ended up here.
2695
2696> Consider the medical kit for a moment.
2697
2698Roy: ...hey, can you get up and over to that corpse-sickle over there? Might be a good way to numb your shoulder before I do anything to it.
2699

2708Danny: A-Alright...just using a corpse to heal me....all good...completely normal....
2709
2710Abi > Not going to make you machine control, it's just a normal door now that the servers are wrecked.
2711Abi > You close the door, that only seemed to make them even more nervous from the expression on their faces. The person in the white lab coat, however, looks intrigued.
2712
2713Roy:
2714> Stay close to him as you go to the corpse-sickle in case he needs some help or support.
2715
2716Roy: ...nice find on the cigarettes, though. What happened to you after I got teleported away? The hall looked like hell.
2717
2718Danny: Some more of the guards came in, but I managed to hide before they saw me. They scoped the place out and I snuck back into that hall. Tried to go back to the cells and wait to see if you'd show up, but two guys were comin down the hall. Hid in my cell, but they saw me annnnd didn't believe me when I said I was being a good little prisoner by staying in it. Ran back out here and i've been in that locker ever since.
2719> He needs a little support, but for the most part he seems to be doing pretty okay.
2720
2721ABI > emerge
2722ABI: See? Now you are locked in this room with me.
2723> Move away from the door and toward the center of the area
2724ABI: Would anyone care to assist me now?
2725
2726Abi > Roll charm/command +2
2727
2728Roy:
2729> Oh shit, he did remember your pre-decided meet-up place. Damn, he's doing good for someone that just got thrown into all this.
2730
2731Roy: Was it Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber from the Vending Machines? 'Cause I think I talked them down, they're ditching. Oh, and let me know when you're shoulder's good and numb, I'll see what I can do about it when I know I'm not gonna, like, accidentally poke you and cause excruciating pain.
2732
2733Danny: Oh..fun...excruciating pain...but uh...Yeah...Hey seen any lighters around? I could really use a fucking smoke right about now.
2734> pause
2735Danny: ...I think it's good??? I'm not sure...certainly can't feel it.

2743
2744Roy: ...y'know, one of my friends I ran into might actually be able to light it with some electric stuff.
2745
2746> Pull out the medical supplies and begin checking this thing out.
2747
2748Abi > No volunteers step up...save for one. The man in the lab coat. He gets up from where he is and steps forward. He seems to be in relatively healthy condition except for what appears to be a pretty bandaged up arm, but his hand still functions it seems.
2749
2750Whitecoat: Alright...What is it do you have in mind?
2751
2752> some people are staring at him now, completely in disbelief.
2753Roy > Roll Medical + whatever of the 11 bonus you want to apply

2762
2763ABI: What is your security clearance and how familiar are you with this organization and their operations?
2764
2765White Coat: I'm a class 5 affiliate, worked alongside Dr. Greak himself once or twice.
2766
2767Roy: Shit, sorry...this isn't my strong suit...
2768
2769> Finish wrapping him up. Lean down and pick up the cigarettes for him before handing them back off to him.
2770
2771Roy: ...I'd ask if you're feeling better, but...that's probably a dumb question, isn't it?
2772
2773ABI:
2774> You have no idea what any of that means, so you're going to assume it's valuable
2775
2776ABI: Are you currently able to access the heavily restricted areas of this facility?
2777

2779Danny: I just want a s m o k e at this point man.
2780
2781Abi >
2782White Coat: Most of them, yes.
2783Guard: What are you doing!?
2784White Coat: Saving your lives, show a bit of respect and intelligence why don't you?
2785
2786ABI: You would all be wise to listen. I have had a very bad day and am currently eager to resort to violence.
2787ABI > do you know this man's name or just his face
2788
2789Abi > You know he was referred to as Mr. Havel during your experiments
2790
2791Roy:
2792> You catch yourself smirking a little, but it's kind of a bittersweet one. You've still got a little ways to go before you can all relax.
2793
2794Roy: Yeah...well, we'll see what we can do. For now, we should probably, uh...we should pick Jayden up and head back to the place I came from.
2795
2796ABI: Congratulations, Havel. You are now my hostage. Come.
2797> Begin moving toward the door
2798
2799Roy >

2805
2806Roy: Oh, yeah. Definitely. Don't worry about that. Once you, me and Jayden go meet up with Nick and Abi, we'll just need 23 and then we can all get the hell out of here. Somehow.
2807
2808Roy >
2809Danny: I mean...it's an island remember? The only way to get off is boat or plane...with what's going on outside on the air strip-we'd need a boat.
2810
2811Roy: Yeah. Either a boat, or we'd have to take care of the airstrip problem...there's gotta be a dock or something around here we could get to.
2812
2813Roy: ...though, if that thing on the airstrip freezes us in the water while we try to escape, we're screwed.
2814
2815> Turn and start to head for the door that leads to Jayden's room.
2816
2817ABI > open the door briefly to allow Mr. Bigdick through before closing it again
2818
2819Roy > You successfully make it to the door that leads to Jayden's room. You do not need to make any checks upon entering, Jayden is simply laying on the bed he's chained to, both bored and scared out of his mind.
2820
2821Danny: Dooon't think there is taking care of the air strip problem...as soon as it's gone-the entire place would be after us won't it?
2822
2823Abi > Havel follows you through without a problem.
2824
2825Roy:
2826> Definitely keeping your voice down in this room.
2827
2828Roy: Possibly. Guess we'd just have to be quick about it then. Honestly, there isn't really a perfect answer. Sneaking out by boat and trying to take care of that problem both have risks.
2829
2830> Head over to Jayden.
2831
2832Roy: Hey, how're you holding up?
2833
2834Roy >

2845> You backtrack to Nick without issue.
2846
2847Roy: Well...huh, I dunno. One of them's an AI-Person, she might know. Nick might be able to like, download piloting skills maybe but not in this condition. We'll figure it out together.
2848
2849> Back to Jayden.
2850
2851Roy: Cool, so not much has changed. Danny, think you can try picking the lock on his cuffs again?
2852
2853Roy > Danny gives it another shot and this time the cuffs manage to clatter to the ground. Danny now has 8 paper clips left. Jayden rubs his wrists and finally steps away from the bed for the first time in who knows how long.
2854
2855Danny: There we go...
2856Jayden: Th-thanks....
2857Danny: .....wait we're in their sleeping rooms right?
2858Jayden: ....yeah???
2859> Danny begins searching through and around the beds, looking through people's things and personal belongings.
2860> He finds nothing
2861
2862Roy: Try and make it a quick look, we probably shouldn't stay in here long if those guards are still out there.
2863
2864Roy: ...plus Abi told me not to move and I moved so we should probably get back to where I came from soon.

2875
2876Abi > Havel looks at the injured prisoner and scoffs
2877Havel: No. He's probably on The Fucked Up Juice or whatever Dr. Greak called it. If I try anything it'd probably just end up worse.

2886Roy > You head towards the locker room and open up the door. Just your luck, someone is standing on the other side of it. Their large form almost seems to tower over you as it looks as if they could barely fit through the door themselves. Cold dead eyes stare down at you three as a bald looking middle-aged man blocks your path with his body. His hands shift as he cracks his knuckles.

3041

3044Jayden: I know that they're fucking crazy and hate people with superpowers? They also like to like-develop things specifically to counter 'mutants' or whatever they call them. I'm not really sure what's helpful and what's not... As for the guy, I don't know his name, but he was like-this african american dude with a suit, ugly looking glasses, and a fancy fedora-hat. "Dapper" i think the word is for it.

3115Roy: Yeah, well. Y'see, thing is, superpowers don't always help all that much. Didn't help Danny keep from getting shot in the shoulder, and they sure didn't keep me from having to sneak around here so I don't get shot, frozen, teleported into the air and dropped, or crushed by a fuckin' giant man.

3300> You failed to consider that maybe he would be dumb enough
3301
3302
3303> Literally start playing Despacito
3304
3305Roy: Jayden, fucking wait.
3306
3307> Start moving to try and follow him.
3308
3309Jayden: No. I'm obviously not wanted, so you don't have to pretend. I'm sick of being looked down and I'm sick of this patronizing bullshit.
3310> Jayden exits through the eastern door into the hallway. Do you follow?
3311
3312Roy:
3313> Follow.
3314
3315Roy: Look, none of us are probably gonna be able to get out of here on our own, powers or not. Don't fuckin' run off trying to prove something.
3316
3317Danny: ....Shouldn't we like-go with them?
3318
3319Jayden: Fucking. Watch. Me.
3320> he hangs a left through the door into another hall
3321> Map is updated since i forgot to update it
3322
3323ABI: ...
3324> Well you don't really care about Jayden, but you're definitely not going to leave Roy like that
3325
3326ABI: I suppose we should.
3327> Pursue
3328
3329Roy: Look...do you even have a plan right now for getting out of here? Any idea of where you're going?
3330
3331> Try and catch up with him, also try and grab his arm.
3332
3333Roy > Athletics
3334Abi > Perception
3335
3336> 2
3337
3338Roy > 7
3339Jayden > 2 Athletics
3340Roy > You manage to successfully catch up with Jayden and grab his arm. He attempts to pull out of your grip, but fails-also doesn't seem like he's really trying as he responds to you. He's very aggressive with his response.
3341Jayden: Yes, I have a plan. I'm getting a boat and getting the fuck out of here. On my own.
3342
3343> Abi your group will catch up with them after one more round of dialogue.
3344Danny: ...So can you literally just play whatever music you want or is it like-limited selection?
3345> To Abi
3346
3347ABI: Any music I have heard before, and any radio signals I can pick up.
3348
3349Roy:
3350> Now that you've got his arm, lean in close to his ear and whisper, so hopefully nobody else can hear.
3351
3352Roy: Vik's fucking dead. Alright? Nobody's supposed to know. If you're not gonna do this for us, then do it for Vanessa. This isn't the time or place to prove something and make unnecessary risks.
3353
3354> And now you let him go and back up a step.
3355
3356Jayden:
3357Jayden: Why should I do anything for a lying bitch?
3358> He turns around and starts walking again.
3359Danny: Woah...that's...a lot more useful than what I do and pretty cool. You'd be fucking great at parties-oh there they are.
3360> The two have gone down the hall Abi went down on her way to the server rooms.
3361
3362ABI: I can do far more than that. For instance, I opened all the doors.
3363
3364Roy: ...fine. If you're gonna be that stubborn, at least take this.
3365
3366> Take out the gun and put it on the ground. Kick it over by him.
3367
3368Roy: ...if you see 23, don't shoot. Just avoid him.
3369
3370Roy > Charm
3371Roy > 1
3372Jayden > 1+3 Motivation Boost
3373> He stops and stares at it briefly as he contemplates it...before he just kicks it back.
3374Jayden: ..........I said I'm doing this on my own.
3375> Turns and continues down the hall
3376
3377Roy: ...god fuckin' damn it...
3378
3379> Sigh and pick the gun back up.
3380
3381Danny: Oh...well that's hella more helpful...
3382> You successfully catch up with Roy by this point
3383
3384ABI: How is it going?
3385
3386Roy: He's gonna get himself fuckin' killed trying to prove he's not useless is how it's going. I mean, what the hell, Abi?
3387
3388ABI: What? He is actually going through with it?
3389
3390Roy: Yes, he's actually fucking doing it. What did you think was gonna happen?
3391
3392ABI: I thought his sense of self-preservation would prevail over terminal stupidity.
3393
3394Roy: Yeah, well, now even if we go after him, it's gonna be hard as hell to actually keep him with us.
3395
3396ABI: Then we can carry on and go look for a way to wake Nick up.
3397
3398Roy: What, and you just want us to let him get himself killed???
3399
3400ABI: We cannot force him to come with us, unless you would like to knock him out and carry him. Besides, he has historically been a hindrance.
3401
3402Roy: And what, that just makes it okay?!
3403
3404ABI: No, but you are wasting time worrying if you cannot change it.
3405
3406Roy: ...fuck.
3407
3408> You're definitely unhappy about this development, and it shows, but you can't afford getting into it here.
3409
3410Roy: ...how do we find the stuff to wake Nick up?
3411
3412ABI: Havel can lead the way.
3413
3414Roy: Great...fuckin' fantastic.
3415
3416Havel: What's the matter? Can't appreciate a personal tour guide?
3417
3418Roy: Nothing personal. But I'm sure you're pretty familiar with that excuse by now. That's how you operate here, isn't it?
3419
3420Havel: Smart man.
3421
3422Roy:
3423> You're conflicted. This is the first time someone's called you smart upon your first meeting.
3424
3425> He'll take you down the bottom path by the isolation chambers. There's two new doors, but they're quite obviously continuations from the labels ISO1 <
3426
3427> So I assume they start walking
3428
3429> Danny and Havel will if you do <
3430
3431> N i c e
3432
3433> Initiate get going
3434ABI: Are you mad?
3435> @ Roy
3436
3437Roy: Yep. Yeah, I'm a little mad. But, we have shit to do, so.
3438
3439ABI:
3440> Contemplate whether you should drop it or pursue
3441
3442ABI: I am sorry.
3443
3444Roy: ...we didn't exactly make a good impression on him anyways. I don't think he was liking us that much. But that sure as hell didn't help.
3445
3446> ABI goes silent
3447> Is Roy still holding the spider-bot
3448
3449> Yeah
3450
3451> She suddenly zaps herself into it
3452
3453Roy: ...
3454
3455> Turn to Havel.
3456
3457Roy: What the hell were you guys doing here?
3458
3459Havel: Oh, you know, experiments, technological developments, the usual secret organization things.
3460Havel: Unless you meant with A.B.I. and that subject, in which case trying to figure out how to wake him up.
3461
3462Roy: So, what's up with the white suited prisoners then?
3463
3464Havel: Higher caliber guards, they're not prisoners. They're here of their own will.
3465
3466Roy: Sounds like bullshit to me.
3467
3468Roy: Okay, maybe not complete bullshit, but I've got a feeling you guys are doing something else with them.
3469
3470Havel: After their procedures are finished, they're can leave whenever they want. They just have to face the consequences that come with it.
3471> He gives a rather nonchalant shrug
3472
3473Roy: What procedures?
3474
3475Havel: Just some surgical attachments to make sure they don't misuse their abilities.
3476
3477Roy: ...attachments? What fuckin' attachments?
3478
3479Havel: Just a tiiiiny lil' chip that goes right into the brain. Takes a bit of recovery afterwards, but we have ways of speeding up the process.
3480
3481Roy: Oh. So, you're fucking chipping supers and having them work for you.
3482
3483Havel: Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.
3484
3485Roy: Fuckin' asshole. How do you decide which ones to chip, then?
3486
3487Havel: Whichever ones are particularly useful to us or have some sort of reason to be kept. Also could you please refrain from name calling? It's rude.
3488
3489Roy: Name calling's rude, but chipping "useful" supers isn't?
3490
3491Havel: I could sit here and explain the whole list of reasons CISCO exists and why they do things the way they do, but we both know that you're likely far too close-minded and pressed for time to take a step back and consider the grand scheme of it all.
3492
3493Roy: Newsflash, genius. If your short term explanation requires you to use the term "grand scheme" and sounding like a cartoon villain, you should probably reevaluate your plans.
3494
3495Havel: oh no, this isn't my plan.
3496Havel: I'm just an affiliate.
3497
3498Roy: Right, you're just doing your job. Whose plan is it then, huh? Theodore's?
3499
3500Havel: I wouldn't use that name around him if I were you. The General has a particular peeve about being referred to by his title.
3501
3502Roy: Hold on a second. Would you believe me if I told you that maybe, just maybe, Theodore can, I dunno. Kiss my ass?
3503
3504Havel:
3505> He gives a simple shrug in response
3506
3507Roy:
3508> Think a moment. Hold on a second.
3509
3510Roy: ...were you going to chip Nick?
3511
3512Havel: The subject in the medical room? Yes. It provides valuable researchable data that could improve the chip's technology and make it as advanced as the technology that restrains the AIs so effectively...or rather I should say restrain Unit E so effectively seeing as A.B.I. has...transcended of some sort. It was also an order from The General that any subjects in relation to the AI also be tagged since we were to keep them alive as part of the arrangement.
3513Havel: Though i'm curious to see how much longer that part of the bargain will stand seeing as it's gone back on its word...
3514
3515Roy:
3516> He doesn't respond. He's simply staring ahead, continuing very quietly and very tensely.
3517
3518ABI:
3519
3520> Suddenly spiderbot jumps out of Roy's arms
3521
3522Danny > Continue to smoke cigarette
3523Havel > Say nothing in response to the silence and spiderbot
3524
3525ABI > turn and begin walking in the opposite direction
3526
3527> Is she trying to be stealthy about it? /SHOT
3528
3529> N o p e
3530
3531
3532Roy: Wait. Hold on for one second.
3533
3534ABI > stop
3535
3536Roy:
3537> Stop.
3538
3539> He rests his hand on the handle of his gun.
3540
3541Roy: ...Havel. Has Nick already been chipped?
3542
3543> His voice is quiet and tense.
3544
3545Havel: What? No. It still has its hair and it's not in a white suit.
3546Havel: That's a silly question.
3547
3548Roy: Abi. Is he telling the truth?
3549
3550ABI: Yes.
3551
3552Roy: ...alright, then. Where are you going, anyways?
3553
3554ABI: To make sure Jayden does not die. Focus on helping Nick, and do not let Slavel out of your sight.
3555
3556Roy: Are you sure you're the best person for the job? He didn't seem to be a fan of you.
3557
3558ABI: My uses here are limited with all the doors opened, and I stand the best chance of survival traveling alone.
3559
3560> Do you volunteer > 2 > yes
3561Danny: Uh...Maybe it'd be better if I go? Since he kinda hates both of you and I'm kinda...neutral...maybe?
3562
3563ABI: Can you move quickly enough to catch up with him, and can you defend yourself if you are attacked while alone?
3564
3565Danny: Can't say much about fighting but I didn't go to the prometheus school of running away from things.
3566
3567Roy: ...
3568> Were this a better situation, you might appreciate that reference more. It does make you crack a small smile, but just that, and only for a moment.
3569
3570Roy: ...are you sure about this? You're really ready to risk yourself going after a guy you just met?
3571
3572Danny:
3573> To be quite honest you're just a little tired of hearing these two babble about this guy and things are getting incredibly uncomfortable with the whole chipping talk. There's also the fact that you were deemed completely useless by this place and set to be killed rather than chipped...so you can kinda get where the other guy's coming from?
3574> Are you going to say this in front of them?
3575
3576Danny: I mean if it'll get you two to shut up, sure.
3577> Completely deadpan, no hostility or joking tone whatsoever.
3578
3579Roy: ...then both of you should go. You've both got the best chances that way, and I've got Havel, so.
3580
3581ABI: If he gives you any trouble, just think like a pimp.
3582
3583Danny: Your friend is amazing.
3584
3585Roy: ...
3586> Very quickly and quietly, a short laugh escapes you that you do your best to stifle.
3587
3588Roy: Yeah, she is. I'll keep that in mind, anyways. You two watch out for each other, alright? Be careful.
3589Roy: Oh. He said he was going to get a boat and get out of here. I dunno if that helps, but also...
3590
3591> Take out the Medical Supplies with a pool of 7 health to distribute.
3592
3593Roy: You guys should take this, just in case.
3594
3595Danny > Is going to accept that unless Abi has objections
3596
3597> Abi has no objections, Roy's a big boy who probably doesn't need it nearly as much and Havel living is not mandatory
3598
3599Danny: Alright then. Let's get this party rockin' before I end up listening to everyone struggle over a eulogy for this guy.
3600> He starts backing up the way you came. He points at Roy.
3601
3602Danny: Don't fuckin' die or something. You're too chill for that shit.
3603> He pivots around and begins to walk off, assuming Abi is going to follow.
3604
3605ABI: I concur. You are not allowed to die.
3606> Turn and follow
3607-------------------------
3608
3609
3610--------------------------
3611Roy: Yeah, well, make sure you guys don't die either, alright?
3612
3613> Turn back to Havel, the Grade A shitty person.
3614
3615Roy: Now, back to business. Let's get going.
3616
3617Abi > continue in rp 4
3618
3619Havel: with pleasure~ Got anymore questions or are you done?
3620
3621> We're done with questions for now.
3622
3623> You finish your interrogation with your hostage and follow him. He leads you back towards the room 23 broke out of and down the hall. Roll perception
3624
3625> 4
3626> As you're walking down the hall you did not venture down before, you can see that the doors along the east are more prisoner cells. The first door on the west leads back into the room filled with needles that Danny ventured into alone earlier. The second door leads into what appears to be a large room filled with filing cabinets. The third door leads into another lab-like area but you can see that it appears to be more technologically focused. At the end of the hall is a strange room labeled "C. A." that you can't really see into, but you can notice that there appears to be many different computers inside. Would you like to enter any of these rooms or continue with Havel?
3627
3628> We'll stop and question him at least.
3629
3630Roy: Hey, hold up. What's in those rooms there?
3631
3632Havel: The first room was just the bio-lab while the others are just the more technological aspects of our research. Nothing of importance. The archives are right here through this door where we can find the notes to wake your friend.
3633> You get the idea that he's trying to rush you in there...
3634
3635> Which door he is trying to rush us into?
3636
3637> The middle door of the western selection, the one with a bunch of filing cabinets
3638
3639Roy:
3640> Don't go in just yet.
3641
3642Roy: ...so, what's C.A. stand for?
3643
3644Havel: Child Adoptions.
3645Havel: Kidding, it stands for Controlled Automatons.
3646
3647Roy: So like, robots?
3648
3649Havel: That's what Automaton means, yes?
3650
3651Roy: Interesting...let's stop in there, first.
3652
3653Havel: If you insist...
3654> Proceed to CA Room?
3655
3656> Yes
3657
3658> Perception except i keep forgetting you're mobile
3659> 3
3660> In here, you find that two larger objects take up the center of the room on what appear to be mounts of some sort hooked up to the computers. The robots look almost cat-like in nature, but neither of them look complete. One's missing its head and a limb or two while the other seems to be pure skeleton.
3661https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/530513132049924107/549351302530859017/f602c43227b3e1491b0942669f2dd6e4.png?width=705&height=454
3662> Along the counters are many more smaller looking drones, but something that jumps out to you is a familiar looking sword that rests on a stand towards the back of the room. Hey it's the neat stick you stole from the other lab.
3663
3664Roy: Oh, wow. This totally isn't freaky at all...
3665
3666> Head up to the counter and grab that neat stick you procured earlier. It's your neat stick again.
3667
3668> Though...why is it in robotics again?
3669
3670> Turn back to Havel.
3671
3672Roy: So, this is where you guys are working on Embed and shit. Alright. Let's head into the records.
3673
3674Havel: Unit E along with a body for the AI and the subject to inhabit should we ever have the need for them, yes.
3675> He turns and heads towards the archives.
3676
3677Roy: ...so, do you know what the deal is with this thing?
3678
3679> Hold up the sword.
3680
3681Havel: It's a weapon.
3682> He enters the archives. You can see that there is a door to the north and to the south. The northern door leads into the tech lab while the southern leads into the mess of a bio lab.
3683Havel: Alright, I can never understand how these idiots sort these things, so you're going to have to help me look around.
3684
3685Roy: Okay, yeah, but why's it in the robotics room?
3686
3687Roy: I'll help you look, too, but obviously I'm not taking my eyes off of you.
3688
3689Havel: Yeah Yeah, I know. If you see anything with the name Greak at the top right, let me know. G. R. E. A. K.
3690> He gives you a dismissive wave as he opens a filing cabinet's bottom drawer and starts searching through it.
3691
3692Havel: It's in the robotics room because it is robotic.
3693
3694Roy: Alright, I'm getting on it...
3695
3696> Begin search.
3697
3698Roy: ...so, the sword's robotic...? Doesn't look like it should be.
3699
3700Havel: It's just someone's pet project. The company probably wouldn't seriously consider it for actual use.
3701
3702> the two of you begin to search through the cabinets...
3703
3704Roy: So what, you're saying it's useless or something?
3705
3706Havel: Probably.
3707
3708> The papers within the cabinets contain all kinds of logs, theories, and paperwork on what appear to be different pieces of technology and occasionally what you assume to be supers. Many names and details have been crossed out in black marker in older folders.
3709> Havel picks out a few papers from a folder and begins walking towards a desk in the center of the room.
3710
3711Roy: Well. I don't think it's useless.
3712
3713> Then again you also don't know what it does or how it works but whatever.
3714
3715> Look over to Havel as he moves to a desk, and follow him.
3716
3717Roy: What'd you find?
3718
3719Havel: Just some papers that needs to be thrown out. Figured I might as well do it since i'm here real quick.
3720> He's about to put a paper into a paper shredder.
3721
3722Roy: Wait.
3723
3724> Yeah if he doesn't stop we're grabbing his arm and gonna try and stop him from doing that.
3725
3726Roy > Athletics > 6
3727Havel > Athletics > 2
3728
3729> You manage to latch onto his arm and stop him in time. <
3730
3731Havel: It's...literally just old documents?
3732
3733Roy: Look, I'm sure you understand where I'm coming from. I can take a look at them then, right?
3734
3735Havel: Sure.
3736
3737> He holds out the papers to you. It's not that many, but there's a whole lotta writing on it.
3738> You can choose to make a perception check or take a point of resolve.
3739
3740> Considering the situation I'm gonna go with that perception check /S H O T
3741
3742Roy > Perception > 2
3743Havel > Stealth > 3
3744> You have a glance at the papers and don't really see anything that stands out to you. It's far too much and complex to sit here and read it all. It's just testing of different substances and super's abilities dated back a month or two ago. None of the papers have the name you're looking for on them nor any you really recognize. <
3745
3746Roy:
3747> Pocket the papers anyways. Even if it's not useful to Nick just now, it's all possible evidence.
3748
3749> Head over to that paper shredder.
3750
3751> You head over to that paper shredder. <
3752Havel: Uhh...?
3753> He seems confused.
3754
3755Roy:
3756> Is it possible to empty the paper shredder of the shreds that are currently in it?
3757
3758> Yes
3759
3760> Empty the paper shreds into like the corner of the room or something before putting the catching bay back into the shredder.
3761
3762> You successfully do so. <
3763
3764Roy: By the way. From this point forward, if you shred anything, and we don't find the stuff we need to wake Nick up? You're gonna sit down and put all the shreds back together like a jigsaw puzzle.
3765
3766Havel: Ooookay?
3767
3768Roy: I just dumped the old shreds, too. So I'll know that any shreds in that box are from any documents you shred after this moment.
3769
3770Havel: I see that.
3771
3772Roy: Then we have an understanding. Cool. Now, let's get back to looking.
3773
3774> By the way, even if it doesn't seem useful, Roy's taking as many of these files as he can with him.
3775
3776> Among the files you're collecting, you finally find a file with the name Havel described to you. A lot of the information has been censored out it seems, but mostly names and test subject numbers. <
3777
3778Roy:
3779> Should you tell him you found it?
3780
3781> ...nah. Take a closer look at it yourself. Look for anything regarding Nick, a subject that can jump into electrical equipment, or something that can wake sedated people up.

3783> The folder you found seems to be a collection of research done by Greak. You search through the document and among the older experiments you can find documents and reports on a serum that sedates people for an extensive amount of time without needing to be reapplied frequently. It also speaks of how it can seem to provide nutrients for the subject in order to prevent starvation and dehydration. There's quite a few details about failed tests in which the subjects either starved in their sleep, heart failure, and some instances where they just didn't wake up when exposed to the counteractive drug. <
3784> Among the more recent ones, you find details and observation notes about an A.I. which you quickly identify to be A.B.I. judging from the details. A lot of crumpled looking papers are clipped to the newer ones, as if older and abandoned notes were brought back to relevancy. There's a whole lot of science-talking-hallabaloo that you don't understand, but there's quite a few notes in regards to her behavior prior to the reset. There's also a to-do list of sorts of different experiments they felt needed to be conducted on the A.I. before she could be put into field testing, such as whether or not she reacts to something called "The Beta Stick" like Subject 34504 did. There's a big circle around a note hastily made at the bottom that asks "Force Reset E possible?" <
3785
3786Roy: ...
3787> Pocket the notes on Abi, then turn back to Havel.
3788
3789Roy: Hey, I found a folder from Greak. It's talking about the sedative.
3790
3791Havel: Ah, wonderful.
3792> he holds a hand out to take it so he can read it for himself.
3793
3794Roy:
3795> Turn the folder around and hold it in front of his face so he can read it without holding it.
3796
3797Roy: This a good enough height for you to read it at?
3798
3799Havel: . . .
3800> be confused, but ok guess he'll read it like this
3801
3802Havel: Uh...yeah...Hm...
3803> he takes a moment to study the document and decipher all of that jargon.
3804
3805Havel: If i'm not mistaken, there should be some samples of T-34 in the bio-lab.
3806> He claps his hands
3807Havel: Alright, let's get going then.
3808> He starts off towards the Bio-Lab, the area where 23 ripped through
3809
3810Roy: Hold on.
3811
3812> Don't follow just yet.
3813
3814Roy: The papers said that the counteractive drug doesn't always work. How do I know this is gonna work for Nick?
3815
3816Havel: Those are the experimental versions. We only use the finished product on subjects of importance.
3817
3818Roy: And...theoretically, if he wasn't actually under the effects of that sedative and you were lying...what would giving the T-34 to someone who didn't need it do? Would it hurt him?
3819
3820Havel: I've said this before and I'll say it again: I'm not a biologist nor a doctor.
3821
3822Roy: Right...fantastic. Alright, fine then. Lead the way.
3823
3824> Do you enter the room of Needlesâ„¢? If you do not you will obtain a point of resolve.
3825
3826> Nah not gonna take the resolve this time.
3827
3828Roy:
3829> Fuck. Fucking hell, it's this room again. All the needles and shit around here. You're visibly uncomfortable standing by the entryway, but you take a deep breath. It won't be for long, right? Plus it's for Nick this time. You can't let this dickhead screw Nick up.
3830
3831> Follow inside carefully, and do your best to stay away from the needles in the room.
3832
3833> You follow him inside and stick close to him as he picks his way through the mess. He approaches a cupboard and reveals an entire selection of vials with all kinds of labels and colors.

3835> Havel > Stealth > 2

3838> He grabs a vial labeled T-43
3839
3840Roy:
3841> Okay. Cool. That's cool.
3842
3843Roy: ...are there any more of it in there, or is that the only one?
3844
3845Havel: That's all that's needed. It doesn't take much to snap them out of it.
3846
3847Roy: But is there more?
3848
3849Havel: Uhh...
3850> He checks the cabinet
3851Havel: Doesn't appear so?
3852
3853Roy: Alright...well, if it doesn't take much, then I guess it wouldn't hurt to inject yourself with about half of it, would it?
3854
3855Havel: Excuse me?
3856
3857Roy: Humor me. Inject yourself with half of it.
3858
3859Havel: Boy, I do not know the consequences of injecting the serum into a perfectly normal patient. You're asking me to potentially kill myself.
3860
3861Roy: Sounds like it doesn't really matter since that's not the serum.
3862
3863Havel: . . .
3864> be thoroughly confused
3865Havel: Even if it were what would asking me to inject myself with it accomplish? I would have the exact same reaction??
3866
3867Roy: I dunno. But, really, what's any of this going to accomplish if you're gonna lie about things?
3868
3869> Rest your hand on the handle of your gun.
3870
3871Roy: You see, Havel. I'm not really what you'd call booksmart. I dunno what this serum is, or what I'm looking for. I've gotta go on your word. And you told me in that room, it's T-34. And you just picked up T-43. So, Havel. I could ask you to stop fucking with me and grab T-34, but how do I know you were telling the truth about that in the other room?
3872
3873Roy: Do I have any reason to think you're useful right now, Havel? You know what happens to people who aren't deemed "useful" in this place.

3886
3887Havel: You don't know if i'm telling the truth because you made the bright decision to send the lie-detecting AI after a fool. Now that you're like this, I don't quite think there's anything I can do to convince you that this is the right one.
3888
3889> He holds the tiny vial in between his fingers as he presents the vial's code to you. It is indeed T-34. <
3890
3891Roy: Oh, no. Now? I think I'm getting what I'm looking for. Y'see, I think we really got off on the wrong foot.
3892
3893> Scoffs.
3894
3895Roy: I mean, that's understandable, really. After all, you must be used to be looking at people like me in cells. Kind of like when you're at the zoo and you're watching the lions or the tigers in their cages. You've gotten pretty comfortable doing the worst possible things to people like me with plenty of protections set up.
3896
3897Roy: But...I think you were forgetting that the cages are open now. And I think you were a little more comfortable than you should have been. But now? I think you just remembered that you're playing with something dangerous. And you guys have been playing with it for a long time.
3898
3899Roy: I'll tell you this much: I don't kill people. I don't want to kill anyone, I just don't like the idea of it. But, so we're clear. If I use this, and Nick doesn't wake up? Or it does something to him? I'm going to make you wish I did.
3900
3901> Reaches forwards to take the vial.
3902
3903Roy: ...are we clear?
3904
3905Havel: It will wake him...but don't look at me if it doesn't wake him in the next ten minutes. It takes time to come into effect.
3906
3907Roy: I'll take that into consideration. Now, let's get going back there. I assume you've got something to use to inject this with? Is it an injection thing, or is it administered some other way?
3908
3909Havel: It is an injection.
3910> It requires a needle.
3911
3912Roy:
3913> Fuck.
3914
3915Roy: Where does it get injected?
3916
3917Havel: I am not a biologist nor a doctor.
3918
3919Roy: Then who would be able to help me?
3920
3921Havel: A biologist or a doctor?
3922
3923Roy: And I don't imagine you know a specific one of those that could help?
3924
3925Havel: All of the biologists and doctors are behind a locked door.
3926Havel: That can't even open with a keycard now.
3927
3928Roy:
3929> Remember something for a moment.
3930

3947
3948Havel: They keep this place sterile?
3949
3950Roy: Yes.
3951
3952> Gesture around the place. The ruined place. The place 23 broke out of and caused large amounts of carnage in. This place.
3953
3954Roy: Take a look around. This is the epitome of sterile. Don't stall.
3955
3956Havel: I'm not stalling! I'm not a doctor, I don't know what's and safe to use and what isn't.
3957
3958Roy: ...
3959> You might feel a little bad about that if he weren't grade A trash among the human race.

3962
3963Havel: Why do I have to look anyways? Why can't you just pick out one you're confident with?
3964
3965Roy: Well, I'm a little busy keeping an eye on you, so. Maybe I should be a little more careful about distracting myself.
3966
3967> Havel bites back an irritated groan before he resumes looking around. He can't find any needles along the lines of what you requested it seems. <
3968
3969Roy:
3970> God fuckin' damn it.
3971
3972> Alright, deep breaths. Prep yourself mentally. Yeah you fuckin' don't like the things but you're not using it on yourself, you're just holding it. And it's for Nick.

He barely seems to fit in the narrow hallway and is looking the opposite way from you towards a door. That particular door goes in the direction of the medical area where Nick is and Abi/Danny left. The hulking creature seems focused on something and is looking around, not having seen either of you. It's the nope-hulk. He is currently blocking your fastest route to Nick.

4008Roy:
4009> Oh, fuck. Not him again.

4012
4013> ...and this douchebag is blocking your path. It's possible he could go after Nick if you do nothing.
4014
4015> But if you try and distract him and Havel runs off, he might go to Nick and try to use him as leverage.

4251Roy: Nick's in trouble, and we're very far away from Rick, Sugako, Hisae, Aiyana and everyone. We've gotta get back home to them and the first step is getting off this island.
4252
4253> Charm +3
4254
4255Roy:
4256Charm > 4 + 3 > 7
4257
4258> You must have said a magic word, because suddenly 23 rises from the ground and gives himself a shake. He abandons his pot and gives a grumble before heading out to the cafeteria whether you follow or not. <
4259
4260Roy:
4261> Definitely follow
4262
4263> his tail wraps around the remainder of the pot and drags it with him. It scrapes against the ground loudly.
4264> as the two of you enter back into the cafeteria, pot in tow, you hear a loud bellow. Over at the door you two came in through, the hulking giant crashes in through the door, looking ready to fight.
4265
4266Roy:
4267> Well, so much for subtle- OH FUCK HE'S HERE
4268
4269Roy: Shit, c'mon, what the hell?
4270
4271> Look to 23
4272
4273Roy: ...don't suppose you're gonna try and avoid him, are you?
4274
4275> 23 hisses at the new challenger with an enraged bellow. The croco-dog crouches slightly as his tail begins to whip about. <
4276
4277Roy:
4278> Shit, 23's probably gonna kill this guy.
4279
4280> Just like everyone else he's already killed.
4281
4282> This guy's a super that got chipped, though. Are you really gonna go along with this?
4283
4284> Draw your gun, and you'll figure this shit out as you go. You can't just leave 23 here to handle this alone either.
4285
4286Roy: Shit...
4287
4288> Edge

4290Roy:
4291Edge > 26

4295> Roy's turn <
4296
4297Roy:
4298> Another steady breath. Alright, you can do this.
4299
4300> Fire a shot at the Hulk man, aiming for the legs.
4301
4302> Roll blast or athletics +3
4303
4304Roy:
4305Blast > 8
4306
4307Hulk > Toughness > 7
4308> You manage to barely scrape the big guy, either that or it seems like he didn't even feel the bullet. He just gives an angry bellow and charges towards you with murderous intent. <
4309
4310> 23's Turn <
4311> 23 is going to spend 2 food points performing a penetrative strike against the hulk. <
431223 > 9+2+1 > 12
4313Hulk > 1
4314
4315> 23 launches himself at the brute and latches onto the man's arm with a gut-wrenching crunch. The man screams out in agony as he takes 11 points worth of damage and the croco-dog becomes a new priority of his.<
4316> Hulk's Turn <
4317
4318> Might > 8+1
4319> 23 > 5
4320
4321> The man uses his free arm to grab 23 by the mane-like scruff. The crocodog releases the arm in surprise before he's chucked into the wall behind the man. The crocodog falls to the ground, but gets right back on up with an angry screech. <
4322
4323> Roy's Turn <
4324
4325Roy:
4326> Oh god it's just like the motel room again hearing that crunch don't throw up don't panic don't stop what you're doing.
4327

4336

4339
4340> Roll blast or athletics + 3

4342
4343Roy:
4344Blast > 8
4345
4346Hulk:
4347Toughness > 5
4348> The hulk cries out as his leg suddenly gives out from under him. You nailed him right in the kneecap. The man gives an anguished cry as he attempts to stand back up, but seems to be failing horribly at it. His arm is looking very painful and he looks almost like he's done for. <
4349
4350> It's 23's turn <
4351
4352> Kneecap
4353
4354> He was a supervillain's slave until he took a bullet to the knee
4355
4356> I mean that's not where I was going with that but well played nonetheless
4357
435823 > 8+1, no bonus points used > 9
4359Hulk > 5
4360
4361> 23 jumps in again with another sickening crunch on the man's shoulder. He takes the hulking brute down and keeps himself latched on despite the brute's inability to fight back. <
4362> The brute is below 0 hp and cannot attack. <
4363
4364Roy:
4365> Your bullet fires right into his kneecap, and for one moment you feel yourself freeze up.
4366
4367> You've seen this before. Back in New York. Wither.
4368
4369> ...holy shit you just kneecapped someone. You know he's chipped and he isn't willingly doing this and you still kneecapped him and now 23's attacking him. Time to panic and run over.
4370
4371Roy: 23, stop! That's enough, he's down!
4372
4373> Hopefully you can at least keep 23 from killing the guy, but that's a big hopefully. Even if you can, you still just kneecapped someone with a real honest to god gun even after you saw what it did to Wither.
4374
4375> roll charm

4384
4385Roy:
4386> Oh fuck. Oh shit he's killing him and you helped him.
4387
4388> Drop your gun and attempt to grab 23 and try to pull him back.
4389
4390Roy: 23, please, just fuckin' stop! He's being forced to do this!

4404> As you run up and grab 23, he instinctively whips around with an open jaw and attempts to latch onto you instead.
4405
440623 > 6+1
4407
4408> You can decide how that damage is dealt
4409
4410Roy:
4411> You're caught pretty off-guard, and you stumble back a step. You manage to pull your arm back from fully-chomped-off range, but you don't quite get it completely out of dodge in time.
4412
4413> His teeth manage to slice across your arm in a few spots as you pull it away, and you can't help but grimace as you back up a few more steps.
4414
4415Roy: F-fuck!
4416
4417> You instinctively go to clutch the cuts with your other hand, only for...wait...that sizzling sound...is that...?
4418
4419> You can't help but shout in pain as you pat your hand against your jumpsuit quickly, rubbing your currently semi-acid tinged cuts against another spot on your jumpsuit to try and clean that off.
4420
442123 > freeze
4422
4423Roy:
4424> Stare back at 23 as you grab at your jumpsuit. Freeze up yourself.
4425
4426> You aren't really hiding the pain or the fear on your face all that well as you simply stare, unsure of what happens next here.
4427
4428> it's impossible to tell what's going on in 23's mind with a crocodile for a face, but his muscles seem tense while his tail is limp against the ground. He stares back in your general direction before you can hear him take a good long sniff again.
4429
4430> He sits.
4431
4432Roy:
4433> Did...did 23 just try to bite you? Like full-on attack you? He bit Hisae, but there was some hallucination stuff going on there...did he...
4434
4435Roy: ...what? W-what is it?
4436
443723 > You are but a crocodog, you cannot communicate. Instead, you sit and stare.
4438
4439Roy: Come on, w-what do you want?
4440> A fair bit of exhaustion is creeping into your voice.
4441
444223 > Tilt your head to the side, you're unsure
4443
4444Roy: ...
4445> Fucking hell. Of course he can't actually respond to you. You're tired, and at this point you just want to leave.
4446
4447Roy: ...we should g-go...
4448> You lean over and pick up the gun again, before turning and starting to head for the door back to the hall.
4449
445023 > Follow Roy, but keep your distance
4451> You gain 1 point of resolve for sticking to the "no-kill" code
4452
4453> Is he still alive after all that /S H O T
4454
4455> y e s
4456
4457Roy:
4458> Look back at 23 every so often, but you don't really say anything or get any closer, continuing down the hall. First things first: head back to Nick.
4459
4460> You head back up through the halls and back to the spot by the security doors. You can notice that Havel is no longer there from where you shot him.
4461
4462> Has he left a blood trail?
4463
4464> Perception
4465
4466Roy:

4468
4469> You can see a trail of blood leading back towards the door near security and going south.
4470
4471> So, like, towards Gaudy Hallway 1?
4472
4473> Yes
4474
4475> In that case, turn and stop into Security. It doesn't seem like he was heading in Nick's general direction.
4476
4477> You step through the smashed-in door and over some shattered statues you're pretty sure were people at one point. The entire place is coated in ice and makes it slippery to stand on, but your excellent balance keeps you from needing to roll to not fall on your ass. There's well over twenty different monitors plastered all over the walls with screens and what appear to be heat readings. Some of them are blacked out, but occasionally flicker back on as something moves through them. On each monitor one side is normal sight while the other is thermal based. You can see Danny and Abi walking along the halls on one monitor, Nick in the room alone, the panicked looking cluster of people in the recovery room near the med bay, 23 sitting in the hall outside of the security room, and so on. The controls for the security cameras seem to be iced over and immovable. <
4478> Enter: Abi/Danny with 23 sitting in the hall <
4479
4480ABI > Enter
4481ABI: Hello. This looks like a fun room.
4482
4483Roy:
4484> You were a little distracted by the monitors, but you turn around when you hear Abi.
4485
4486Roy: Oh. Hey. How'd things go on your end?
4487
4488> Look around the room a little, search for a map or maybe some locked security boxes or something with items taken from inmates.
4489
4490ABI: Jayden got shot at the docks and refused to come with us, and we had no way of carrying him. So we put a tarp over him and came to find you.
4491
4492Roy: ...he's okay, though?
4493
4494ABI: He is certainly not well, but he should live. As long as he does not do something else to get himself killed.
4495
4496Roy: Right...

4504
4505Roy: Shit...fuckin' surprise, none of my stuff's in here. No map, either.
4506
4507ABI: Your belongings should be in the tech lab.
4508
4509Roy: ...which tech lab? I found this sword in the...
4510
4511> Remember.
4512
4513Roy: ...oh, right. I found a C.A. Lab down there with a couple of robot murder cat bodies in progress. I found the sword I stole from the lab too.
4514
4515Roy: Also I've got syringes and the serum for Nick, but...I don't know how to inject it. And I've got some papers from the archives here.
4516
4517ABI: If it is an injection, you simply need to find a vein and inject it. Where is Slavel?
4518
4519Roy: I shot him in the leg. If you saw a blood trail going down through the door near here, that was probably him.
4520
4521ABI:
4522> Processing
4523
4524ABI: And you let him go?
4525
4526Roy: His giant white suited bodyguard kept me a little busy. They were both about to go towards the room Nick's in, and Havel said he wanted the hulk guy to help him with something. That's why I shot him in the first place.
4527
4528ABI > Engage the security room, maybe you can find him through one of the cameras
4529> Or maybe it'll have monster security
4530
4531> Oh hello monster security
4532> Would you like to try anything?
4533
4534> F u c k that
4535> Jump back into spider-body
4536ABI: I cannot access the cameras, so we will have to follow the blood trail to find him.
4537> Start off to do just that, seeing it as the obvious thing to do
