1Amazon API access
2Just logged in to my Amazon Affiliate account and noticed i cannot create the API secret / key, i need 3 sales before i get access, is this right? or is there another way to get those keys?

16I haven't used them in a few years, i'm sure it let you get access without 3 sales last year.

19They've changed the rules. If your account was inactive for a few years you basically start from scratch. I don't think that there is a way around those 3 sales requirement. If there is, it's not legit, and if they catch you, you'll lose your affiliate account forever. Not worth it.

30Amazon doesn't like prices to be loaded from your webpage. It needs to be through the api.
31From what I know, you do not need any special developer account for this matter. Just access using your amazon email and head to Access credentials. Maybe you would really need to do that as part of their "rules".

33I forgot to mention, also nowadays they give access to the API data based on gross sales you bring to amazon, the more you sell the more info you can pull out, so even if you can set it up but don't have a lot of sales don't overload their system with request because they'll show as N/A or nothing will be displayed.I think it's on rolling 90 days bases.
34@bahus thanks mate :) i just noticed i still can't pull any data, i'll need a few sales in first, and now it depends on how much you sell? they really have limited it quite a bit it seems.
35Yeah, you need the sales. Can't be from anyone related to you... I tried that route having my folks order stuff. May reach out to some friends, but there was also a good thread in here somewhere on how to use facebook groups to get the 3 sales.

46Sitestripe will get you by until then and you don't need the api if you're just writing a blog with links to the products in it. API comes in handy for imports into a woocommerce store.
47Facebook groups are a good option to get the first sales. Find & join some groups within your niche, also participate in the topic first to avoid bans.

54Amazon support didn't elaborate on that. For me it was obvious because I had my parents (same last name) order from me and they have a history of sending stuff to my house. I have 30 days left (started way too early) and am debating on going through significant steps to create a separate account or just ask my friends.
